The best thing in a research process is the is the brainstorming. Is the meeting that you have and say, "Okay, what if we do that?" So, I think that it's a curiosity is a is a cornerstone. It just It's like the fuel to just keep working and uh do more and more. I'm a chemist and I'm working with food physics and structure analysis. What we are trying to do in general is to see how molecules are set it up in space in food matrices. We try to understand how proteins can create networks, how fat can crystallize. So, actually food is one of the most complex soft matrices. So, I was trying to find a way to have an image, like a microscopy image from a food matrix, but at the same time to keep all the chemical information from there. So, by doing spectral imaging in situ, I could actually manage to understand the way that the proteins or the lipids interact with each other from a chemical point of view, a chemical perspective of the interact with each other to create food structure. So, I managed to somehow connect the two worlds of the chemistry and the world of food structure. So, I was working in the lab, so I was super concentrated to understand what I actually see in the screen. And then I I I I saw the the email. I was super impressed. I mean, I didn't expect it at all. So, then I instantly put the phone on the side and then I keep doing imaging. I was like, "Okay, now you took a a nice award, so you need to prove that you really deserve it." And then I went to my supervisor office to like talk a little bit about that. Yeah, so it was 5 minutes of extreme happiness. When we see that our work is recognized, it make us feel that the effort that we put and the time that we put, it really deserves it. That what you do is important and people like, let's say, they can trust you and believe that it makes sense to put more more effort and sometime more money in your research to help you do the things that you are doing. For the next years, I would like to stay concentrated on fundamental science. How we can use this knowledge to build food products, functional food, sustainable food, and of course food that will be accepted by people and the society.
