Video summary

In the recent US Open 2026 tournament, Yala secured a decisive victory against Oliynykova in a rematch of their earlier clay court encounter, advancing comfortably into the third round with a straight-sets win. The match concluded in just over an hour, marking one of Yala's quickest victories in recent memory with a final scoreline of 6-1, 4-6, 6-1. Although the second set presented some resistance as Oliynykova managed to break back and fight for her serve, Yala maintained overwhelming statistical dominance throughout the contest. Her serving was particularly exceptional, remaining unbroken until the middle of the second set where she lost just one game, effectively putting herself in a prime position to progress further in the tournament. The first set unfolded with Yala establishing early control by holding serve for love and immediately breaking her opponent's service game. Despite Oliynykova briefly breaking back to make it 4-1, Yala quickly regained the advantage to reach 5-1 before closing out the set with another hold for a commanding 6-1 victory. The second set saw more competitive play, where Yala held serve multiple times in a row, creating a tense atmosphere that was rare for Oliynykova who struggled to break through. A notable sequence occurred in the middle of the second set involving three consecutive breaks, but Yala's phenomenal serving ultimately prevailed, allowing her to capitalize on her second match point and seal the win. Yala now faces a challenging matchup in the third round against a player with a strong historical record against her, having previously faced each other on clay and grass earlier this year. The upcoming hard court clash will be particularly interesting given Yala's current confidence and momentum following these easy wins, as she enters the match without wasting any energy. While Oliynykova is known as a tricky opponent who can disrupt rhythm, the conditions on the hard courts have historically favored Yala, making her advancement to this stage a significant achievement. Fans are now eager to see how Yala handles this next challenge and whether she will face Yovic in the subsequent round, especially considering that her usual matches often last between one and a half to three hours rather than the swift hour-long victory she recorded today.

All right, so we've just seen Yala get through a second match against Olakoba, which was a rematch of what happened on the clay courts a couple months ago, and she gets a win in straight sets. She's into the third round. Let's have a look at what actually happened during the match. All right, so just over an hour. One of the quickest Yala matches in recent memory. 6164. The second set got a little close. Olen Kova end up fighting a little bit and getting getting the break back. But the stats were really, really nice for Yala. Great serving. She only got broken the one time. I did save. Oh, sorry, only the two time. She did get broken in the middle of that second set, which we'll talk about in a second. But yeah, really served well and yeah, puts herself in a great position physically into the third round. All right, so the first set she got off to a great start. She held to love and then she broke to love straight away. There was a chance there for to get a break point in the third game, but Yala ends up holding strong. Then Yala gets the next break and goes up for love. Olenova ends up breaking back to get one of the breaks back to go to four. Then Yala breaks straight back, goes up to 5-1 and then Yala holds the love to get the first set 6-1. So the only game Olenova won in that first set was a break a serve. Second set and Olenova had to battle that first game. Yiala had a break point, but Olenova ends up holding getting off to one love start. Then again, Yala holds the love. She held to love so many times the other in this match. It was it was crazy. And then at 2 alla gets the break. Then Olenova breaks straight back, but then Yala breaks straight back. So we had three breaks in a row in the middle. Then again another love holders a hold of serve for Yiala. So again, phenomenal serving all around. Then Alan Kova held serve, which was a very rare thing for her this tournament or this match I should say. And then Yala on her second match point gets to the third round and takes the win. And this is a very tricky matchup. You know, Olenova is a very tricky player, but on the hard courts it was advantage Yala and Yala ends up getting the win pretty easily. So there it is. That's how Yala got the win. And yeah, there was a little bit of a moment in the second set where Olenova put up a bit of a fight, but Yala was serving phenomenally except for those couple of games where she did get broken, but overall her serving was great. And now she takes on possibly who has a good record against Yala. They played on on clay, they played on grass already this year. So on the hardcore, it'll be interesting to see how it goes, especially with the Alla coming in with such confidence and uh and and easy wins as well. She hasn't wasted any energy to get to the third round. But let me know in the comments below. How do you rate this as one of Viala's wins? Because she's had like one of the quickest wins ever today. She doesn't usually win in an hour. She usually takes an hour and a half, 2 hours. Sometimes it's a 3-hour match. But she got through real quick today and she sets herself up to play Yovic potentially in that third round.
