EA Removed the ANNOYING SBC Requirements

Video summary

EA has finally addressed long-standing community frustrations regarding the grind in FIFA Ultimate Team by removing restrictive requirements for Special Card SBCs. The most significant change allows players to use any special card currently available in packs, including those from the Ultimate Rewind campaign and other re-releases, rather than being limited solely to specific promotional items. This adjustment effectively makes the 85x10 SBC truly unlimited and repeatable, enabling users to craft a wide variety of cards such as the Neymar layout or 99-rated squads without hitting artificial barriers. Consequently, players can now pursue their favorite special cards with renewed motivation, turning what was once an impossible task into a manageable daily activity that fuels the endgame experience. To sustain this new grind loop, the video outlines an efficient strategy centered on two primary SBCs: the 85x10 and the repeatable Footies Provisions Upgrade. The process involves completing the 85x10 to receive fodder cards, which are then used in the Provisions Upgrade to generate gold common players. These gold commons can subsequently be recycled back into another 85x10 SBC alongside special cards, creating a self-sustaining cycle that prevents players from running out of resources. While the grind is significantly easier now, it still requires some management of gold supplies, particularly as the market for lower-rated common players may fluctuate based on demand for swap tokens and other objectives. Beyond the immediate SBC changes, the video covers several pieces of news regarding the upcoming FC27 release. EA has officially revealed the stats and play styles for pre-order icons, including figures like Rafal Varane, Sergio Aguero, and Pep Guardiola, with Aguero notably featuring a comprehensive set of technical play styles. The pre-order edition of Varane is shown to start at an 86 rating before upgrading to a 90 overall in November, while his base card will be rated 88. Additionally, the host discusses the current state of the season pass, noting that SP rewards are being released slowly to encourage continued player engagement, and warns viewers about expiring Footies tokens that must be spent soon at the Rivals Rewards store. The content concludes with a look at today's specific objectives and market conditions, highlighting that swap token SBCs are refreshing early on Tuesday, which could cause prices for lower-rated players to spike temporarily. The host also mentions the expiration of the 88x5 SBC and expresses hope for new player picks or updates to replace it. Despite some minor disappointments with recent player picks like Declan Rice, the overall sentiment is positive about the return of a fair crafting system. As the community prepares for FC27, players are encouraged to stockpile 85x10s and manage their token stores wisely while enjoying the social aspects of Pro Clubs before the new season fully launches.

Hey guys, this is Nate aka the foot accountant. Welcome back to the channel. Finally, EA did something about our grind. Maybe the best way to put it is ask and you shall receive because the FC community, us included, made a big deal about the 85x10 grind being worse with this ultimate rewind promo. And EA just made it unlimited. Truly unlimited repeatable again. Everything is craftable in terms of the player SBC's, the upgrade packs, chasing the 99s because of what EA did yesterday, and even some of the extra SPCs that they released as well. We're going to talk about the pack grind, the most efficient way to do it now that the 85x10 has been upgraded, and we'll look for some more upgrade packs today on a Tuesday. Also, we have some FC27 news that we'll touch on because we're getting closer and closer to this game coming out. And EA finally revealed some of the icons that we can pack in the pre-order pack. Let's discuss. If you're excited for this one, drop a thumbs up the video, hyped the video, and subscribe if you are new. Yesterday brought us a gauntlet, guys. In objectives, we have a nice chunk of pre-season tokens, some 98 and 97 rated cards, a lot of packs, and a couple of evolutions. If you do want to play the gauntlet, this is probably going to be the last one that I get involved with. You get a flip the switch evo here for a max 97 rated card inside of the base gauntlet objective. You've also got a pure craft evo as well that gives a nice pace boost. You're seeing passing and dribbling and defending getting a nice boost there as well for a center attacking mid Evo. Again, it's not that crazy to get done. I mean, you win a perfect round once or twice or get a pair of triplets to get this done. It's the exact same requirements that the last few gauntlets have had. You've got a week to do it and you've got some pretty nice packs in here. They dropped the guaranteed ratings on these packs compared to the last gauntlet, but they're giving you way more players, which is probably going to end up allowing you to pack more special cards and even make more of those 85x10. So, the gauntlet is out. Of course, there's a bonus objective as well. I think there's somewhere around, unless I counted incorrectly, I thought there was 200 and something tokens. There's more than that, though. There's 300 preseason token group reward. there is 100. So there's 300 total preseason tokens I believe from the regular gauntlet objective to the gauntlet bonus. So that's not bad in my opinion. I still enjoy that game mode. I think it's going to be the last time that I play it though for this year. Now we did have an evolution that dropped yesterday. It's called the tenant. And it's kind of funny because this EVO replaced another Evo called the 97 times evolution that was paid and it gave you a 97 rated stat boost in like pace, shooting, passing, and dribbling. This EVO does almost exactly that. It does give you one 99 stat. It is curve and that stat is not capped, so it goes up to 99 obviously. And as you can see in here, a lot of these stats are going into the 96 to 97 range. Some of them as you kind of you know apply them to the card will take you up to 98 for like most allow here. He goes to 98 shooting on that card there. It's a freeo. It's only max 96 but it is a freeo once again and that is not a terrible evolution there but nothing super crazy. Now let's talk about SBC's because guys just yesterday just yesterday in the past couple of days we have been very critical of how SBC's have been run on this game. We go from frustration to firm handshakes after one change that EA made yesterday cuz our grind is finally back. But first, let's talk about this Timber. He was our player at SBC yesterday. 98 rated. Is this Jurian Timber? Quinton Timber, right? Jurian Timber, Arsenal, Quinton Timber, Marseilles. Now, decent card, foot birthday, fully customizable if that interests you. Only three squads. They go from requiring 27 squads for Ibra, 23 for Rafaelo, and then three for Quinton Timber, and two for Chris Richards. I don't know what it is, but that's what they've did. Now, the grind is back, guys, because of the big change that EA made yesterday, and that's what everybody's talking about with SBC. Some people are saying too little, too late, which I mean, I can't disagree with. It is the last couple weeks of this game. And if you're tired of grinding for 99s, which I still kind of am like, I'm doing the 85 by10s, but it's almost just like what is there to chase at this time frame? It's just we're ready for FC27. However, if you're still motivated to chase 99s or to try to pack and craft any of these other cards like this SBC, like the layout, like the Neymar, and if you're trying to get any of them done, this is the new grind and this is the change that EA made. It all has to do with the 85x10. As you go into the SBC here, you will see it still says that you need a team of the week, team of the season, festival football or footies. The camera's kind of blocking it, but it's got the same requirement in there. However, when you see EA's tweet and when you actually do this SBC, you now can use any different type of special card, not just the ultimate rewind campaign items. It is anything that is in the best of re-release that is in packs right now. Any of the ultimate rewind card designs as well, they will fit into this as a quote unquote special card. And you will be able to complete these SPCs. I put an one Yuri card in here. Boom. What does it do? Lights up green. That card fits. I put in gold for the rest of this and that does work. That makes the 85 by10 truly unlimited repeatable. Actually, even more unlimited repeatable than it was before. Here's the new pack grind, guys. You only need two SBCs. That's why I just have two SBC's favored right now. You just need the 85x10 and the repeatable footies provisions upgrade. Now, the reason you only need these two is once you have a special card and you can get an 85x10 done, you're going to have some 85s and some extra specials. You're going to get multiple specials per pack usually and those are going to fund your next set of 85x10s, but what you're going to run out of is golds. And that's why I think you need to keep putting the 87 to 89 rated cards into that provisions upgrade so that you can get golds. Even like gold commons are helpful for this because you'll end up putting gold commons into an 85x10 with a couple of special cards and that's your 85x10 and you're getting 85s back, 86's back, and then some specials back as well. Guys, I'm up to 45 85x10s. Like, I literally just went through my club and I created 22 of these 85x10s just by opening some of those provisions packs. Getting a pack like this means, sure, all of those, you know, 85s and 86s are going to go back to an 85x10 with one bomb pass door. And boom, that's an 85 x10 done and dusted right there. But that's why you have to do the provisions grind a bit to get some more golds back into your side. But you're going to have so many 85x10s. It is going to be so easy and that's why it is a huge W. Again, people say too little too late, but it is still a huge W cuz you can craft anything you want to. Like before it was like impossible to try to get 27 squads done for Zlatan or even for myself. I was thinking, man, I would like to collect this 99 rated Rafael layout, but there's no reason for me to do that for my 99 rated squad with how many, you know, squads of grinding that would take. Well, now it's actually going to be possible. And of course yesterday as well the very important most important player pick on this game the 98 plus one of three player pick refreshed too. So having this pack grind here made it incredibly easy to get fodder just like this to go and do that SBC once again. That player pick the 98 plus one refreshes every two days. It is a must complete. I will say this is tinfoil hat theory being placed on my forehead on my head. But it seemed like the 98 plus picks were worse a little bit, just a little bit yesterday than what they were the first day they dropped on Saturday on the weekend and that was when the unlimited pack rind was not as good. Do you think there's any correlation there or is that just the way that the luck fell yesterday? We didn't see as many 99s on share plays. I did not get a 99. Sure, we still had some good pulls. There's a 97 and a 96 in that one right there. But there was not as many 99s for sure yesterday. So read into that as much as you want to or as little as you want to. Now the 85x10 and the provisions pack is like all that you need. But if you have an abundance of gold commons, well, we've got a nice place to put those now as well. Remember the SBC that we were putting our gold commons into a couple of weeks ago during footies. It is back and EA released it for the rest of the game. And that is nice. If you've got a bunch of commons in your club that are just getting in the way and they're annoying, the 80 plus by five is the perfect place to put those unlimited repeatable out for the next 24 days. The 85 plus player picks a good place to put rare golds. And then also for commons, I would do this first. The four of 10, 84 plus player pick because doing the repeatable footies provisions upgrade with your 87 to 89s, you will get some commons and you know that'll help you get a few more special cards, maybe a chance at a 99 and stuff like that. Honestly, right now, if they do put footies back into packs with whatever promo is next, if it's preseason or whatever it is, having a very healthy stack of 85 by10s heading into that might not be a bad idea because if you're truly trying to chase some of those 40s 999s, like I would really like to pack that Harry Kane and maybe use them for a couple of games or something like that, it would not be a bad idea to have a huge pack stash of those 85x10s just in case EA changed something again and make things more frustrating with whatever is the next promo coming after this one. So, that was the big change yesterday and it is a big dub. Some people are like, "Oh, Nate, you made them do it. You got this to happen. It was your video. It was your tweet." Nah, there's no shot because the whole entire community over the weekend on Twitter was talking about this exact same thing. Sure, I put out the tweet of like petition EA to change this, but I I don't I can't honestly sit here and say that that's what made the difference. It was the whole entire community bringing up the problem that was a problem. And GG's to EA for at least making this endgame grind way less frustrating and easier. Now, now the last thing that EA needs us to do to not make things frustrating right now in this game is give us some SP and some tokens. Like I'm sitting here at level 9, level 10. And I know that we have still multiple weeks left to get to level 30 and get those FC27 carryover rewards, but man, it just feels like they're starting off super slow to the season. And that's normal because they don't like to release a lot of SP. We're still in what the first I guess we're in the first week and a half of this new season. There'll be two weeks this Thursday. But it's also like we're kind of focusing on that so much. And that's one of the things that we're trying to get done for the endgame. And then I think once you hit level 30 in the season pass and get all those objectives done to get the FC27 rewards, you feel like you can truly check out and be like, "Okay, now I'm fully in for FC27." And I think that's why EA is slow dripping the SP, maybe even slower than normal because they want to make sure people are still logging in even in this late stage of the game so they can try to get people on the game and maybe make some money off of that. At least that's what I'm guessing is going on here. But that is the next thing that we need, guys. We need preseason tokens. Um, I don't think that they're going to give us more of those though, to be honest. Even though they up the weekly cap, it seems like they are very content to give us the same amount of tokens per week um and just keep the weekly cap at 3,000 to make it look good or something like that. But I will mention for tokens, footies tokens are expiring soon. I believe it is going to be at Rivals rewards. It says the store expires in 2 days, 1 hour. So yeah, it should be at rivals rewards on Thursday. If you have footies tokens, 100% make sure you spend them. Or if there's some other objectives, like this is for me here. I need to complete some other objectives that give out the footies tokens. I still think there's a couple of them in here that I can get. And uh make sure you just spend those before the token store goes away. That is the first token store to actually expire, which is an interesting thing because none of the festival football tokens expired um or you know, stuff before that. So it was just literally the footy store that uh is going to be expiring. But just kind of, you know, watch out for that one because that is going to be happening here in a couple of days. But also SP wise, hopefully on Thursday we get a good chunk of SP. Most of the time SP comes out on Thursdays and on the weekends. Now, I want to really quickly touch on FC27 news. We do we do need to do a completely different video on this because I think it deserves its own video, especially for all the other FC27 news that we're getting. I would assume that EA is going to continue to announce stuff, continue to push, you know, pre-order the game soon because, of course, that date to pre-order and get all of the pre-order rewards is coming um a a week actually from yesterday, the 31st is the day that you have to pre-order by to get all the rewards. Yesterday dropped an official page with icon stats for all the icons that are coming to FC27, including Ralph Varane, Pepe, and Serjo Aguero. They even showed play styles for this, which I thought was pretty interesting. Agüero is going to have finesse shot, chip shot base, low driven, first touch, technical, and tiki taka. This tweet here is showing an official EA tweet as well of all of the pre-order icons and their ratings for what they will be when we open our pre-order icon packs on the first day that we log in to FC27. Again, if you pre-order by the 31st, I think, is this only for the Ultimate Plus edition? might be only for the ultimate plus. I'd have to go back and check the website and see. But you've got Veron in here. You've got Hullet, Zadan, Sinclair, Aguero, Lucio, Foriga, Rhysa. We were also learning a lot about some of these icons yesterday like especially for those of them that could be lengthy. A lot of the women's players actually are tall enough and even have some of the stat makeups like Sinclair is going to have probably Finesse Shot Plus. Maybe not on this 86 rated card because they might not have play style pluses. But on her other icon card that was leaked officially, finesse shot plus for her. That's a pretty solid looking card and would potentially be lengthy. Now also, you may have seen a lot of different icon ratings that were leaked yesterday. We've got three of them for Veron and we need to kind of again just kind of discuss how this is being set up here. Right, we've got an 86 Veron which is the pre-order edition. That card will upgrade to a 90 overall with anticipate plus and that will be in November. So that is the pre-order edition starting as an 86 getting upgraded to a 90. Baron's base icon card that will be, you know, the normal base icon card in regular packs is going to be 88 rated. So what shows on EA's website here, if you find this link, which I'll make it easy for you, I'll put it down below in the description of the video. All of the stats that you're going to see here, like you see Veron with anticipate plus and 82 pace, allegedly those are the upgraded icons that we'll be getting from the pre-order, not the actual base icon cards. So, I'm not sure why EA put those stats on the website. That's slightly misleading. Um, but that is what they have gone and chosen there. They didn't really specify that those are going to be those pre-order icons. I wish they would have. Also, I would really love to see the official stats for these cards, too. You can kind of start to guess which ones would be the least hype. Probably Rhysa. Uh potentially Nagasoto. I mean, who knows what Schweinsteager's pace is going to be. Pirlo, same thing. But at least have insane passing. You kind of assume that those are going to be some of the worst cards and not as desirable cards in this pre-order pack, but we will just have to see. Again, that deserves a whole another video with some other leaks that we do have about icons. And I'm gonna assume that we're going to get some more news, like I said this week, about some heroes and some other stuff for FC27 because we are getting close to September and then of course the buildup begins. Guys, I cannot wait to start talking about FC27. The early game is peak and there's so much so much preparation. I can't wait to switch back into trading mode as well. Right now, trading doesn't matter. And actually, a lot of people that are trading are actually getting market banned because the price fluctuations are so crazy that EA thinks you're, you know, breaking the rules and transferring coins. And nobody is right now or very, very few people are. Most people are probably just getting a really good deal because nobody's trading. They're able to sell it and make some coins. I digress. That's my mini rant over for today's video. Let's talk about today's content on Tuesday because there actually could be a couple of interesting things that we would like to craft with all this fodder that we are getting. Every time I see the Winter Wild Cards walk out animation, by the way, I just hold out like just a small bit of hope that it actually could be the 99 rated Bruno Fernandez, but it almost never is like team of the year. Yeah, it almost never is Bruno Fernandez. But that's one of the last cards that I am attempting to pack. 96 Holland. That's nice. Uh through this ultimate rewind promo. Now today, of course, we're expecting new SBC player Marcelo and Oblak's 99 rats are still out there. They have not been released yet. Could be 99 rated player SBCs that we could be seeing today. But speaking of the SBC's, weirdly enough, the swaps token SBC's are refreshing today because these came out last week on Wednesday, I believe, and now they're refreshing early today on Tuesday. It's a bit abnormal, but if you need swap tokens, I would get these done. Like right now, I've only got the 83 up to the 86 rated swap tokens to go for here. And it sounds crazy, but 84s, 83s and 84s might actually go up in price today to be like 1,200 coins. I mean, yesterday looks like they were 1500 on Monday. They peaked at 16 on Sunday. This is just a random 84 rated Palasios. He went up to 2,000 coins on Saturday. So, like these cards could actually spike up a bit today because people will want their tokens and every day that these refresh there gets to be a good amount of hype. People are doing them before content, then they refresh. They do them after content as well. So, that's one thing to watch out for today inside of SBC's along with a new 95 plus player pick, which as you can see, I've only completed one squad of, and I need to go complete the other squad of this as well for an 88 rated with any special card. Guys, I forgot to mention this. Um, any special card counts like for the 85 by10 in SBC's like this as well. Let me put Kulu into this. I'm not going to put in any of the festival football team of the week, team of the seasons or any of that jazz. I'm just going to throw in other special cards. Um, and just to to show that to you that it does count and that is working and that is how this whole situation is going to work with these special cards. I am way above the rating right here, but all I need is an 86 rated squad or 88 rated squad, sorry. So, that should be enough right there. Yeah, see it says any team of the week/tots/footy/festival football is a go. And I don't have any of those card types in here. So, boom. Going to submit that. Love that. Let's open this pick. But we should be getting a new one of these today. Hopefully goes 96 plus or if EA is really feeling crazy, 97 plus. That would be awesome. Also, the 88x5 SBC expires. So, hopefully we do get something new there too. That would be interesting. Again, it's got to be interesting because right now 85 by10 is what's most interesting. That was not a very interesting player pick there. 97 Declan Rice. Anyway guys, that's going to be the video for me today. I'm going to work on some gauntlet today. Of course, we're going to rip a couple of packs and I've got 5 million coins just ready here to spend on something. I do know what we'll talk about that later this week. If you're excited for Well, no, you're not excited for it. It's the endgame. If you're excited for the 85x10 to finally be unlimited repeatable, drop a thumbs up on the video. I will see you guys in the stream today. Okay, we'll be hitting some more 85 by10s. The endgame grind where we're just kind of showing up, hanging out, playing some pro clubs. All right, just ended. This is why the video is a bit late today. Just ended a pro club session with some guys from the stream. We rallied quick to get a squad together to play against Zback's team on stream. We lost, but they were great games and it's just it's it's peak, man. It is really, really, really fun. It makes you want to see more social aspects inside of Ultimate Team in terms of co-op or playing games together. Somehow combining your Ultimate Teams together to get progress and work towards something. But like yeah, you know what I'm saying? That that's the fun that pro clubs brings and makes you want to experience that more inside of our favorite mode of Ultimate Team. Anyway guys, that's the video. See you in the stream today. Have a great Tuesday. It's been Nate Wood account. I'll see you there. Peace
