Duelist Kingdom Duels Are NEVER Easy In Master Duel | Duelist Kingdom Conquest EP6

In this series, I am entering Yu-Gi-Oh anime's Duelist Kingdom arc and will be attempting to make my way to the Duelist Kingdom finals. I start with 20 star chips and must obtain 80 more by defeating other duelists competing in the Duelist Kingdom tournament. Each episode, I will take on a fellow YouTuber in a duel using cards from the Duelist Kingdom Arena Draft with a twist. Before each game and after seeing their opening hand, the turn player must select a number of star chips to wager on the duel. The winner of that duel steals that number of star chips from their opponent. Once one duelist is left with zero or the 1-hour time limit ends, the match is over. If I'm able to reduce my opponent to zero star chips, I can steal a card from their deck to use in the next episodes. But if my star chips are reduced to zero, I have to completely restart the challenge. Once I have 100 star chips in the series, I can move on to the Duelist Kingdom finals. Welcome to Duelist Kingdom Conquest. Welcome back to Duelist Kingdom Conquest, where we got super lucky with our draft and our boss roll last time. So now I'm just hoping to build on that in this episode. We have 40 star chips cuz we were able to take all 20 in the last episode, meaning that both oppon or our ourselves and our opponent will both have 40 star chips. So there's going to be some high stakes games in this one, assuming they go, you know, we go a decent amount of time. So uh hopefully I'll end up with like 60 or 70 or 50 or anything above 40 today. But let's spin our wheel and see what we get. Let's see if we can get something awesome. I've spun a lot of the wheel several times now at this point. And we always get fusion and ritual. And I really don't want ritual at all. Like I don't want this. It's another I mean, we could get relinquished again, which is pretty powerful. I need to actually look at my deck to see, do I have one relinquished already? And welcome back to the Duelist Kingdom Conquest. This is only episode two. I am very grateful to once again be on Ruxen's channel spinning some wheels. And today, that is just what we are going to be doing. So, first up, we are spinning for a boss monster. Next, we sort of draft our deck. Then, we're going to get some bonus cards. And finally, we're going to spin a wheel for an event. Uh, there's a lot of them on there, so we'll have to see which one we get. First up, though, let's get that boss. See what we got. We've gotten lots of fun bosses in these shows. You know, we've even gotten this guy before, Red Eyes Black Dragon. I've become the number one Red Eyes Black Dragon duelist in the world. I'm pretty sure we've even used the Darkness Dragon on this channel before, so I'm very happy to have this one. Let's see what awesome support cards we can get to make Red Eyes work. Okay, so I do already have a Relinquish, so I could end up with two Relinquished if I would like and a second Black illusion ritual. It's such a powerful card. I mean, I should probably use it, but then I have to cut something. A lot of you guys were like, "Why'd you use two RV Lady Sisters?" And I was coming off the trauma of being yelled at for gate guardian. So I was like, I got to use the boss monster at least twice, you know? So that's why, if you're wondering. Um, aren't I supposed to wait, why do I have 41 cards? Did I add something? Did I not remove something or something? No, I added one of his cards, right? I got me his mirror force. That's right. I was like, I'm supposed to have 40. Uh, I guess I didn't remove anything after I won. That was the last game. So yeah. Okay. Okay, I need to remove something for that. So, if we did this and this, we'll get into this in a second. We're going to come back to this. I'll remove the cards I need. Uh, but let's do the wheel real quick. Let's see what we get in terms of craziness. Like, what's going to happen here? What's going to change up? Oh, Rexraptor bets. Oh, no. Wager your favorite card in the deck on the match. Opponent must replicate. Okay, I got to remember that that we are betting our favorite card. Oh no, I have so many favorite cards. It's on the match, not the game. So my favorite card in here, it's probably just Feather Duster. If you're going with my real favorite card, it's Mirror Force. But I think that in terms of the series, my best card is Harby's Feather Duster. So that's what I should wager and have to risk losing a Harpy's Feather Duster if I lose the match. So what constitutes losing the match is whoever ends up with less star chips. So even if no none of us go to zero, if I end up with 37 and he has 43 at the end, that means that he takes my card. So we're going to have to risk our harpies feather duster today, which really sucks. We do have three. So if we lose one, it's not like we're done, but uh having three is very powerful, and I'm really enjoying it right now. So I really don't want to lose one. Another cool thing about Relinguage is we can if we can tribute one of our, you know, searchers, it's actually pretty decent. It gets you a little bit of value back for using the three card combo. becomes a twocard combo sort of in a way or minus two I guess. I kind of love Horn of Heaven with our deck too because it can tribute witch and Sangan. So it's pretty nice and it's also crazy like negating a summon in this is really powerful. Problem is our deck is just really good. I don't know what to cut. Like it needs to be monsters but I don't want to have too few monsters cuz we have like rituals in here that need tributes. Uh it needs to be like a vanilla so it has to be like destroyer golem would have to go. Uh brain con's pretty awesome. We got a change of heart. I really don't want to cut our main things. Dragon Nails fits with a lot of our cards. So, it's like super nice, especially with Sangan and which you get the double search. I think as much fun as Shadow of Eyes is, I think it's probably the card that goes, even though it is pretty awesome when you stop them. You can win games with this card, but I think it is the worst trap card we have. So, that one has to go. Horn of the Unicorn. Honestly, the good side is if you pair it with these two is that these are the key to everything. you can then shuffle your deck. Shuffle it back in the deck so you don't keep drawing it over and over. Raroku is like a good way to win, but it is slow. So maybe that one could go. And then I could cut Destroyer Golem. Like I go Destroyer Golem, Ryoku, and that puts us at 40. We have 19 monsters. Four of them cannot be summoned though. So it's really No, five of them cannot be summoned. So 14 normal summons is pretty brutal. But we can always steal and tribute over with this one. And we can search through a lot of our cards as well. So, little dicey with the number of monsters, I think. But because of all our searches, we can, you know, get in everything that we need. So, I feel a little little weird about it, but we do have some awesome spells and traps to work with. I don't know about double relinquish, to be honest. It might not be great. Just having the normal summon could be better, but once it gets on the field, it's pretty annoying to deal with. And there's not a lot of removal if you don't attack. Like, if I don't attack into somebody's mirror force or something or kunai with chain and I just sit in defense mode with a guy, just really annoying. So, I think this deck's pretty awesome still. Three Feather Duster is awesome, but we are risking one in today's episode. I need to win this match. Okay, let's draft some cards. Um, yeah, Blast Fear is fun. Those are terrible. Those are so bad. I guess Suie Jin is like fine. There's no way. My cat's freaking out in the background. There's no way I'm tribute summoning. Oh, man. A lower tribute. that's lower powered but more likely to get summoned versus a higher tribute that's more difficult to summon but like is actually a good card while on the field. I don't know. I'm going to have to go Shadow Ghoul, I think. Oh my god, I don't want to pick that. But we're Shadow Ghouling it up. Um, wow. We are getting bad cards. Let's go Red Archery Girl. Okay, these aren't so bad. Maneater Bug, good removal, of course. Um, well, that's a pretty that's a pretty easy that's a pretty easy one. Judgement. I We'll grab a monster card. Oh, Magician of Faith. Sure. Can Eye of Truth stop popping up? This is not Genesis format. Oh, here we go. Monstrous bird 2,000 attack versus Big Insect, which is I don't know. Looking at the cards we've pulled so far, I think we might just need like normal summonable monsters. Big Instax seems like a good choice. 15 defense. Okay, there we go. Thousand strict that we can't use. Ooh, love the fusion uh options. We never get to use these, but I can sort of think about which one would be cool to have in our deck. How can I turn down the zombie warrior? Uh, sure. Oh, we should have grabbed the other one. It was a Joey card. Oh, I missed the lore. um Mask of Darkness with our zero trap cards. However, we're pretty likely going to get a trap. I mean, we can grab Mask of Darkness. I'm sure we'll get a trap card. These are bad. I really grabbing Shining Friendship. You know what? We have a couple Earth monsters. Let's grab Invigoration. Also, I mispronounced this card in a video a long time ago. Oh, brain con really good and I had to edit it out because the comments were so mean to me. Let's grab axe raider. Let's go for those earth monsters now. Oh, here we go. We got some traps. Time machine. Not bad. Kunai with chain though. Incredibly versatile card. I can't pass that up. That's a good card to add back to. Um, these are these are bad Yu-Gi-Oh cards. Honestly, clown zombie attacks over a number of cards that we've added. This is an earth monster, but that's not good enough to make it work. Ooh, summon skull baby. Let's go. Huge. Um, I can't remember. Does crash clown trigger if it's flip summoned. Yeah, let's grab the crass clown now that I looked up that ruling. Sick. Another thousand eyes restrict. Sick. Another thousand eyes restrict. Sick. Another zombie warrior. Um, yeah, I'll grab another kunai with chain. I do like copycat. I don't even think horn of the unicorn is bad, but kunai with chain is like ridiculous. Um, like probably Horn of the Unicorn because our monsters are so tiny. But I kind of want to grab the horn. Really don't have spell cards. No, let's grab the I just said horn. They're both horns. Do we grab the horn of heaven or the horn of the unicorn? I'll grab the unicorn. Awful. Never in my life did I think I'd be adding a second Shadow Ghoul to my deck. And yet here we are. Ooh. Oh, Eye of Illusion. I don't think we have enough spellcasters for that. Nor do we have enough fires. Let's grab axerator. I'm happy to have Axra in the deck. Um, giant soldier of stone. Light monsters. Do we have light monsters? Not really. No. How many cards do we have left? Wow, we have like nothing. [music] All monsters here. I guess we'll grab Goki Boore. He's kind of the homie. Ooh. Okay, this is actually a pretty tough choice. Just Desserts is like a good card to close out games. Millennium Shield is never bad, but it never like it's not going to like win you a game. It's just going to buy you turns. Flying elephant though, while the effect is terrible, obviously 1850 is like bigger than anything we have seen so far that's not a tribute. I'm going to go with the elephant. Yeah, I will be the first person to summon flying elephant. Uh I mean, terrible. I guess clown zombie number two. Run it. Uh we'll grab the flame swordsman this time. We'll grab the flame swordsman this time. We'll grab the labyrinth tank this time. Um, I'll grab the seed king dragon. That's kind of a fun guy. 2,000 attack. Not bad. Oh, la jin. Oh my god. Okay, so we're picking up some really nice cards at the end here. Uh, shadow spell is actually not in master duel. So, by grabbing this, I'm really grabbing spellbinding or no wait, spellbinding circle isn't in master duel. Shadow spell is never mind. Never mind. Do we go brain con? Try to close out games fast. I think that might be good. Brain con into a tribute summon. Obviously very strong. Shadow spell though is a nice trap. How aggressive do we want to be here? It's a tough choice. I don't even think Kuribo is that bad. Like for what it's worth. Um there's always times in these videos where we're like, "Oh, if only we had Kuribo here." I'm going to grab Brain Con. We're going to play a little aggressively. We don't really have a lot of trap cards though or spells to be completely honest. Um, let's grab this is the hardest choice so far, I think. Brain con, shadow spell. We already have a brain con. Shadow spell is kind of like kunai would chain at home, but better for different reasons. Let's grab brain con, I guess. I'm Sangan's nice. Uh, Hercules Beetle. Sure. Now, we'll grab the shadow spell. That's a good pickup. Um, flame cberus. If we're going to go with this whole double brain con strategy, I think the tribute monsters are pretty strong. Okay. Not necessarily rude Kaiser. Um, dragon piper isn't good, but it has 18 defense, which is fine. Sure. More flame swordsman. Sure. Punished eagle. Sure. Do you see another lodge in? Holy. Look at these old school cards, by the way. level four with 1,800 attack versus level five with 1750 attack. If you guys are unaware, a lot of these older cards that were released in one set in the TCG were actually taken up of like three or four sets in the OCG. So, that's why you get a a bunch of varying power levels in the same pack. Although, I guess like even nowadays, you're always going to have varying power levels in packs. Uh it just kind of feels even more obvious when you're comparing vanilla monsters, of course. uh shield and sword as like a pseudo removal option. We do have a couple cards with high defense points. We have a lot that aren't, but I think shield and sword, you're kind of using it like a ryuroku almost. I'll grab that. It's kind of removal. We get a UR pick here. I mean, these are vanillaas. This is change of heart. That goes right in line with what we're trying to do. That's actually an incredible pickup. Um, those are definitely that's three cards in the pool. Yeah. Well, I don't even know if we have a lot of fairies, but this is the only one that's even remotely playable in some universe. So, toon alligator, battle locks. We got a lot of 1700 attack monsters, which is nice. We'll grab it on our monstrous bird. Uh, swords. Swords is really good. Sure, Ultimate Dragon. Sure, Ultimate Dragon. Sure, Zombie Warrior. And that is going to be our deck. Does Red Eyes Black Dragon fit in here? Sort of. I think we've gone with sort of this tribute summoning idea with the brain cons. And even the swords is kind of uh facilitating those as well. Let's jump in and uh see what we can build. Actually, that's not what we should say. We have more spins. Okay, so this is episode two. We get two spins of this. We get to add two cards of these types to our deck. Hopefully, we just dodge ritual. Spell is crazy. Spell trap is like what we're looking for. So, we get another spell card. Is that any spell card? Can I grab another change of heart? Can I grab pot of greed? We'll look into that. And then for our second spin, any effect monster. So, any spell, any effect monster. That's fantastic. Those are two great options. And finally, our event. Some of these are pretty funny. I read a couple of them, but there's a lot of them on here. So, let's see what we get. Pegasus uses his Millennium Eye. Opponent can ask what is in your hand one time during the match. I'm assuming opponent means me. I'm assuming this means that I can ask what is in his hand one time. I can use Wait, wait, wait, wait. I can use my Millennium Eye. Okay, let's start deck building. Okay, so here is how our deck turned out. We were able to cut five cards for our three copies of Red Eyes Black Dragon and our two crafts. [music] For our crafts, we went with a second copy of Magician of Faith and a second copy of Change of Heart. We are really leaning into this whole steal the opponent's monsters to tribute them for our tribute summon monsters. So we have a ton of them. Summon skull, judge man, sea king dragon, monstrous bird, and flame cberus. Those are all one tribute monsters. And then of course we do have our three copies of Red Eyes Black Dragon. Now don't tell Red Eyes Black Dragon, but that's not actually the card we're trying to draw. I would much rather have a summon skull or a judge man to be completely honest. But that's fine. This is our boss monster. I will try to get a win with it if I can. Overall though, I think our deck is looking pretty hot. We got some 1800s, some 1700s. I think the tribute monsters are fine and our effect monsters are pretty good too, even beyond our craft. Magician of faith, mask of darkness for the kunai would chain, maneater bug for removal, sang in for search power. I'm just pretty happy with how this went. I've done these drafts a few times and my deck has looked a lot worse. So, let's jump in and see if we can get some wins today. I think we can. I think we're looking pretty good, actually. Duelist Kingdom Conquest is back and we have our challenger, Doug. Let's go. I'm so ready. I'm ready. 40 star chips each. We're starting at a high water mark. Normally, I start at 20 or five or something cuz I lose. So, this is nice to be at this point. And I get to go first. Also, great. How are you doing over there, Doug? >> Um, I I like this deck. We've done uh the draft with this pool a few times. I think this is definitely at the higher end that I've pulled. Um but yeah, I think I think I got some good cards here. And also I think I was able to like come up with a strategy which is not always the case, but I really feel like scared with the card especially [laughter] I was able to bring it all back in. So I'm hoping that uh I definitely could brick today. I think the deck is a little high rolly, >> but you know, got to risk it for the biscuit, right? >> I'm not happy that you have a strategy. That worries me. [laughter] >> I mean, >> oh, by the way, we're on one star chip cuz it's the first first game, but Yeah. Okay. >> Yeah. Yeah. Strategy, you know. Yeah. So, I'm hoping that this can just run over whatever you have outside. >> That's a big card in this draft. 1,700's a lot. >> Okay. Now, you get to search anything in your deck, basically. >> Uh pretty not not everything, but a lot of things. Uh we have to think about how to beat a 1,700 guy, which unfortunately is very difficult. Um we could do that way or we could do maybe we just get this. Let's just get a manug. Oh, that reminds me. You know, I feel like every time we record, >> something drops on that day that's worth talking about. And today, two announcements happened. So, first off, >> Tag Force 3 is getting >> I saw that. Yep. >> imported. So, that's cool. But more importantly, the full art extended art perfectly ultimate great moth retrain. How you feeling about that? >> Yeah, that that did drop today. I have mixed feelings to be honest because I was super hyped that it's a great moth but I the art style just is not my favorite. So really >> I thought it I thought it looked cool. It's not quite the classic look but I >> it's definitely a different look. So I I'm sure I'll love it when it comes out but I'm still excited because it's a moth but I I was like hoping it'd be more like an OG look and it's a little bit more of like a 3D kind of style. And yeah, I I'll just chill out with copycat. 2500 attack points. H. Okay, that's a problem. Um, yikes. Okay. Yeah, I think I I guess I should have, which I did think about. Maybe I should have held the lodge in until I guess I summoned it for tempo, but I did open myself up to equip spell and copycat. I suppose copycat popped up a lot in the draft. I think it's a card. >> They really want you to take copycat, so that does make sense. Uh, let's do a witch of the black forest. Let's attack with the copycat. Big insect. Okay, it's a giant ant. All right, we'll do 1100 points. Just poke for a little bit of demage. And >> I have a lot of really good draws in the deck right here. >> That's not one of them. >> Okay. You know, speaking of uh the moth artwork, I think that that has happened a few different times that I can remember, like >> the Magician of Faith upgraded form, like the level five or whatever. I think when they try to retrain these cards that have iconic artworks, it just doesn't always work cuz we just can't >> hard. Yeah. It's like the uh the joke about like we can't replicate '8s anime drawings, which is just not true. But like [laughter] it's kind of the same thing where it's like do they even have the sauce anymore to make a artwork as good as Witch of the Black Forest? Like this so good. Like >> Yeah. You just love the original so much. It's so hard to like pay homage to it and also be really good at the same time, you know? >> Oh my gosh, you have a lot of attack points on your guys. >> Yeah, >> this ain't good. Okay. But you kept taking them away and stuff or like you like tribute over them or something. So, I never got to do it. What the heck is that? Sea King Dragon. >> Yeah. I keep cutting more vanillaas and I'm down to like I so many brickable cards now because I have so few monsters. So, I've kind of like made my deck worse in a way by adding so many good cards. But luckily because all your cards like or because you have five monsters that search things like once you see one of those. >> Yeah. As long as you see like witch or saying and especially if they get dragon nails on there you get double search and then it kind of like gets all the guys out. And I if yeah harpy lady I really am regretting not playing three harpy lady. One harpy lady sisters two egotist. I did two sisters for some reason. So now I have double brick there. That could have been three Harpy Ladies, [music] but I can't go fix that now cuz I already like locked it in. So, uh, that would make it more consistent because I'd have another like monster to consistently summon and I could stop drawing the Harpy Lady Sisters as well because you never want to draw it. >> So, uh, overall the deck is really good, but as you can see, I mean, I almost lost. So, I almost had to restart, which would have sucked. >> Well, it was down to the wire a couple of those games. Yeah. >> Yeah. We had some we had some good ones. We had some like brick ones on both sides, but that's kind of this series. It's like you're trying to like if you draw your monstrous bird flame serit triple red eyes, you know, or red eyes and the sea king, you actually have a lot of tributes. So you do it fits. You pretty much always have the brain control change of heart online. >> Yeah, that's the idea. No, it's just that uh I mean there's no way around it. The red eyes really sucks. Like it really really sucks. So >> yeah, it's really bad. >> It's tough. Like I I did get a couple of those, but there's pretty much no scenario where you would rather double tribute than tribute. Like I guess if you had brain con and change of heart but like yeah no it's not >> the only thing is like you tribute your own sand gan and you like need specifically to search or something. It's like I don't even know what you would be maybe like you need a maneater bug but then you have red eyes so like why would you need maner bug so I don't even know like maybe you want mask of darkness but you only have three traps I just noticed. So >> yeah and the cards that we cut were like so bad as well. No, I mean monster heavy draft. >> I don't want to talk him down cuz I think Shadow Ghoul would have like been the MVP over like I don't know. I didn't really I was like No, you're right. These games get pretty grindy and once you have like four monsters in Graves, Shadow Ghoul is perfectly acceptable. So, I I should have played him. I didn't believe in my goat. >> You already had so many like like decent like 22 21 like those are like decent stats. So, you have to have like five or six monsters. So to be better than that, you'd have to be in like turn 30 or whatever. [laughter] So you do you do play a lot of monsters. So I could see >> where like cuz you have 29 monsters. It's possible you have 20 of them in the graveyard in the late game and it's just insane. But >> yeah, >> I guess that that is crazy how many monsters you got.
