Duelist Kingdom DESTROYED ME In Master Duel, BUT! | Duelist Kingdom Conquest EP3

In this series, I am entering Yu-Gi-Oh anime's Duelist Kingdom arc and will be attempting to make my way to the Duelist Kingdom finals. I start with 20 star chips and must obtain 80 more by defeating other duelists competing in the Duelist Kingdom tournament. Each episode, I will take on a fellow YouTuber in a duel using cards from the Duelist Kingdom Arena Draft with a twist. Before each game and after seeing their opening hand, the turn player must select a number of star chips to wager on the duel. The winner of that duel steals that number of star chips from their opponent. Once one duelist is left with zero or the 1-hour time limit ends, the match is over. If I'm able to reduce my opponent to zero star chips, I can steal a card from their deck to use in the next episodes. But if my star chips are reduced to zero, I have to completely restart the challenge. Once I have 100 star chips in the series, I can move on to the Duelist Kingdom finals. Welcome to Duelist Kingdom Conquest. Hello everyone. Welcome back to Duelist Kingdom Conquest. Wait, I thought this series was over. It's not because just like in a video game, I've been revived with a new life. Now, unfortunately for me, that means I have to completely restart. I'm back at zero. I went all the way back to zero in just two episodes. So, we're off to a pretty poor start. But you know what that means? I get to spin the boss wheel again. And we're going to have a couple of changes to the series suggested by you guys in the comments. The first one is wheel spin. So, I'm going to be doing a wheel spin here in a minute and I'll talk about that change there. We're also going to be doing a star chip bet change where this was suggested in the comments and I thought this was pretty good. You start at one and then the max bet it can double every single time. So, you can do one the first time, then two, then four, then eight, then 16. So, the games ramp up as you go and get more and more scary. Now, you don't have to bet that max bet. I mean, if it's 16, you could still bet four if you wanted to, but it does make it a little bit more straightforward to what the max bet is. And I think it'll get pretty crazy if you make it to game six and there's 32 potential star chips on the board. I'm also adding a little thing that I thought of, which is called wagering your own cards. So, if you're backed into a corner like I was last time and only have like one star chip to bet, I can bet my best card and ask for a certain amount of star chips back. If I lose, they keep my card. If I win, I get that amount of star chips. Now, this will be really significant for my opponents because while they're not collecting star chips so much, they might want to win the episode and get a lot of star chips, and they're not super worried about losing their best card because they may or may not be back for the Duel Kingdom finals, but we don't know yet. So, I thought this could be a fun way to mix up cards like we did in Battle City Bonanza as well. So, enough chatter. Let's spin this wheel. Let's see what I get. There are some bad ones in here, but I need something that has a card connected to it, like the pumpkin samurai. That wasn't No, no, no. Don't. Please. No. No. M Guardian. This might be the worst boss monster. Hello fellow Ruxin viewers. It is me, your challenger for today's episode, and I still need to find out what deck we're building today. or rather which boss monster I get to build my deck around. So, let's spin this wheel full of iconic Yu-Gi-Oh cards and find out which one I am working with today. Looks Oh, yes. Give me Relinquished. Okay, one of my favorite cards from back in the day, actually. Probably my favorite card from this wheel for sure. Uh, very excited to get that one. I just wonder, do I get the ritual spell when I'm drafting my deck? I guess we'll find Maybe I'll have to Maybe I'll have to get lucky and even get the ritual spell to begin with. But if I do, then I'm going to be a very happy man. >> Let's start our draft. So, last time I feel like I got a pretty poor draft, but I'm going to lock in because I I wasn't locked in last time. Okay, that's why we lost. I wasn't locked in. I wasn't prepared. I wouldn't make it the the optimal plays. This cocoon's pretty good, but a 1,700 attacker is probably very rare. I'm going to take that. Multiply I don't think is going to come up. Kuribo, shield, and sword to mermaid. We did see shield and sword be pretty powerful, but I don't have any defenders right now. I got to think about my boss monsters. I don't know that any of these matter for that. Okay, no tune mermaid. I don't want to risk not getting a tune. Shield and sword it is. Oh, good cards. It's got to be swords. Magical hats is terrible. This is a nice two tribute, but I've got plenty of two tributes to work with. Let's go with that. Another tune. Are we going to get the ton world? I'm going to be upset if we get Toon World and I don't get to, you know, I didn't pick all these tunes. This guy always seemed like he'd be good, but he has to be flipped up and then tribute it during your standby phase. So, if it has to be flipped up and not destroyed, so they have to attack it with something with a thousand or less defense. I think I'm just going to take the uh destroyer golem to be honest. Ryoku is pretty good. Drawing cards is great. This card was actually pretty good removal in ep season one uh life one. I'm just going to call it life one. So, I'm going to try that again. Why do they want to give me Kuribo so bad? Same thing here. Jig and Bakadan again. Metal Guardians. Look at those stats. 1150 attack for a fivestar. A fiend guarding the treasures of the netherworld. It's most home in the dark. I'm sorry. The treasures of the netherworld. They're cooked. If you got 1150 attack, I'm going to go curse of dragon. Be dragon. Jungle King. These must be OCG cards. A jet black dragon found in the deepest jungles who normally devour treasures. Or dungeon worm, 1,800 attack. I got to go with the be dragon jungle king. I got to Okay, Salamandra is only a fire monster. Let's get some draws in here with Scalangel. Okay, we're gonna get Thousand Eyes. That's not bad. Uh, Blue Eyes Ultimate Dragon. I realized, by the way, last time I made a lot of mistakes in the in life one. Okay, so cut me some slack. I could have gotten Blue Eyes ultimate. I could have played through three Blue Eyes. I had Poly and Blue Eyes ultimate. It was my boss monster. I could have used three. For some reason, I didn't. I just used one cuz I'm like, "It's a brick. I'm going to use three." And then I just didn't even think about it. Uh, so I missed opportunity in the last uh time. time. I could have summoned Blaz's Ultimate Dragon. This seems like an easy choice. Exodia, it's fun. I think Exodia might be the only thing worse than getting Gate Guardian, but honestly, it might be better cuz you could win with Exodia. I don't think you can win with Gate Guardian. Uh, this one tributes, but let's just get the witch. Our beloved copycat returns to help us out. Celtic guardian. Yeah, copycat. We'll get that again. Definitely not. Dragon Nails. Okay, only to a dark monster. Uh, we have two dark monsters right now. This card was absolutely insane against us with team Sam's deck. So, I want really want to grab this. But, Axe Raider at 1,700. We do have one Axe Raider already. This card was so good. I I got to grab it. Uh, Kunai Chain, another Dragon Nails. Kunai is also one of the best cards I noticed. Shadow Spell is pretty good, too. These are all really good options here. But, I I think I'd rather have Kunai because it powers up a guy or it stops an attack versus this only stops an attack and weakens a guy. So, we'll do Kunai with chain. Our first ultra rare and my favorite artwork of red eyes. Don't accidentally click that. Morphing jar is amazing. Change of heart's really good, but there's so many bad monsters. But we do have a lot of tribute, guys. So, you change of heart, you tribute over the thing. We've done that a lot in childhood Yu-Gi-Oh. Uh, morphing jar is good, but there's so many bad cards. I think I'm going to go change of heart. I think I'm going to go change of heart. Morphing jar would have been crazy. I'm wonder Did I make a mistake there? I need more dark monsters, by the way. Basic insect, 500 attack, a machine boost. Do I have any machines? I have no machines. Battle steer has 1,800 attack and is a tribute, which is so bad. But I have change of heart, so I'm going to grab that. Cannon soldier just deserts. This is a body and it's a dark, so it could have the claws and then we'd have the effect to just keep burning if we wanted to. Ring of magnetism. We don't have any guys big enough to make that work. I don't want to burn with this. This burns anyway. Let's get the body. Uh, Lady of Faith is a light, [music] weak monster. During your opponent's next turn, after you activate this card, your opponent cannot change the battle position of monsters except with a card effect. This one powers up light monsters. We have two lights. Are they Are they normal summonable is the question. Uh h one of them scalangel, I think. So, we're not going to be equipping that. Uh what's our other one? Oh, wait. Is it counting fusions? Because it might be bl ultimate dragon. I think it's bl ultimate dragon. No, no, copycat. Oh, it's another copy. Oh, copycat weird interaction again. Uh, I'm going to have to do research and like remember like rewatch the episode, figure out what was happening with that. I'm definitely going to forget to do that and then I'm going to be thinking the same problems as last time. 1,100 attack monster. Maybe we just look for more lights. That's so bad. 400 attack. I don't know. That's a tough choice right there. Really is. Okay, these we're getting a lot of the same. Okay, there's a light. If we could summon it. Guardian of the labyrinth, protector of the throne. I don't know how that's summoning, but I'll I'll grab it. Uh, Kakuno, another dragon nails. We're up to three darks. We get double dragon nails. Uh, the gate guardian stuff. Time out. Wait, one of those has got to be dark, right? One of those has got Okay, wind. Wait, there was one with all three of them. Wind, dark. Oh, of course, the gate guardian is the dark. Okay. Uh, wait, wrong thing. We can't spin that yet. Oh, man. I should get a 2k defender, but the dragon nails was so good. I'm going to take two of these. I'm just going to hope we get some darks. Another cannon. Another swords though. Did we get swords at the beginning? We did. We could have two swords. That's actually insane. Yeah, we got to grab that. The monstrous bird cooked us last time. It's only a one tribute. D spell actually lowkey with there being, you know, swords revealing light stuff is actually okay. And I have enough tributes. I think we grab that maneater bug, Mirall, or Sangan. Oh my gosh, I love mirror wall. [snorts] Maneater bug is removal though. Sangan could have dragon nails. We already have the witch of the black forest. It would be incredible to have the Sangan as well, but having mirror wall would be sick. I don't have a I have one trap card. It's Kunai with chain. I need a trap card. Nine monsters, nine spells, one trap, but Sangan is so good and it hits so many of my cards. I'm going to grab this. Hope there's more traps. Oh, wow. Okay. Tough choice here. Dark magician. Blue eyes. I think we're going to take the feather duster. Dude, we're getting so many URs right now. I already have a change of heart. Let's grab the morphing jar now. Dude, what a run of URS. This is so much better than last time. Remove trap. Actually relevant in this format. A spirit wicked worm beast. That's weird. Let's take their We have 10 spells already. They're going to have to make up for our traps, I think. Uh yeah. Uh yeah, let's grab that. Okay, another mirror wall. I think I grabbed this because we have lack of traps. I want axe raider, but we need traps really badly. We don't have any. Okay, let's grab a few of these guys. Tiger axe. What's his attack? 1,300. Sea King Dragon. This guy also is OCG. Protected by tough shell. This master of sea attacks is the enemy of toxic bubbles. Enemies with toxic bubbles. This master of the sea attacks his enemies. Okay, I read that. It's completely wrong. I was like attacking toxic bubbles. Okay, there we go. Wow, these are really bad cards. Uh, Tiger Axe. Yes, it is. I guess Kuribo chain energy. It It's a card I probably should pick. I really don't want to play chain energy. What does ancient lamp do? During a main phase, special summon Linen from your hand. I wish I had that. 1400 defense. Four damage calcs. The attacking monster attacks it instead. Oh, okay. That that's okay. Let's do that. I'm not doing chain energy. I'm just not I don't care that it's my best card. Guzzi's 1,800 attack. It's a fire. Am I going to have to pick Jig and Bakudon? I mean this with mirror wall I guess would work. It destroys all monsters you control. It's so bad. Cyber commander is only 750 but he could get the dragon nails. Okay. Could be another dark. It could become uh what is it? 1350. It could then what does it say? Dragon nail says it special summon from the graveyard, right? Special summon that monster. Yeah, it has to be that monster. Oh, these cards suck. I've got two level fives and a level six. All right. I need something I can at least set this guy. Uh, I guess I'll take this thousand defense. I don't know. That's terrible. Okay, guardian again. Tribute to the doomed. Okay, this is I I don't want either of those cards. Okay, maneater bug. Did we pick the maneater bug the first time? This could be two Maneater bugs. I think I did, right? I don't see it, though. I didn't pick maneater bug the first time. Well, that makes us an easy choice. We got to take the maneater bug. Another you are. Dude, the Yu-Gi-Oh Pro Deck is a fan of the series. They're trying to help me out. Duelist Kingdom Conquest. Let's go. A pure force. Yes. What? [laughter] The RNG for Life 2 is so bad. Yeah, we don't have a lot of monsters, but okay, I got two chain jar. I could have four chain right now. Double morphing jar. Oh my god. Magic of B with 13 spells. Yes. Giant soldier of stone. We still have seven more picks. 2K defender. Finally. Axe Raider again. I've been wanting him the whole time. Multiply has to be with Kuribo, right? Yeah. Okay. Uh yes. Kunai with chain again or shadow spell. I think two kunai with chain is crazy. I think we got to do kunai with chain. Our deck is so much better than last time. Oh, and darks 1,500. 1,500 and has defense. This is better than armored uh armored zombie cuz it has 1,200 defense. Another dragon nails. This is insane. This is so much better. >> [laughter] >> So, we got the bad wheel spin, but we got everything else. Mirror force. Oh my. And a blast sphere to top it all off. It's 1400 attack. It's a dark. It has an effect, dude. Dude. Oh my gosh. Two. Three. I guess we only got three UR. No, four. Five UR. Yeah, that's right. Five URs. Two SR mirror forces. Witch life fours, two swords of revealing light. We cannot blow this. I have to lock in. This is the best draft we're ever going to get. Now, we do have to play gate guardian. So, that kind of sucks, but we have things to help balance that out. This is insane. All right, here we are. And we are drafting a deck now to go with our relinquished. I also I double checked with the rules. Uh I am allowed to play the ritual spell for the relinquished. So, I don't have to find it in the draft, which is uh very good. So, we can focus on just finding good cards. Uh, and we're kicking things off we here with some some good cards. Honestly, I I expect the power level of this to be relatively low. So, do I pick the removal or do I pick the draw a card? Well, I'm picking the draw a card. Tribute of the doomed. Also, not bad, by the way. Uh, what is a flying elephant doing in here? Uh, what this story about card effect is Oh, I'm picking call the haunted. Too much text. Mystic horseman. Electric snake. Nope. Nope. Okay. Well, I guess we're taking the horsemen. Another draw a card. Let's go. Mirror force. Where? Which witch of the black forest? Oh, can I really pass up on Mirror Force, though? I don't think I can. We're picking Mirror Force. Okay, all of these are kind of bad. Uh, I'm sorry, Roxen, for calling Millennium Shield bad. Feral Dragon is really cool, but it's also two tribute. Do I just take the 3k defender? What is Ring of Magnetism? Actually, no. I am picking barrel dragon cuz he's cool. Battle ax. Riyoku or blast spear. Rio blue eyes ultimate. Let's go. Uh zombie warrior. Thousand eyes restrict. Let's go. Uh negate attack. Sure. Which of the black summon skull also pretty good. But which of the black forest can find our combo pieces? Uh, well, labyrinth wall. It is horn of the unicorn or 2,000 defense wall. Cocoon hand trap, mask of darkness. I like that. [laughter] Okay, dude. I'm not Am I going to start drafting Exodia pieces? Probably not. But both of these are so bad. Equip only to Labyrinth wall. You contribute special wall shadow. I have labyrinth wall. Well, I'm picking. I'm probably not going to play that, but Sangan. Let's go. This one. This one. Another ultimate. Uh, all of these are so bad, man. Goon alligator. 800 attack, 1,600 defense. Silver Fang. I don't have Reyeki to pair with it, unfortunately. I'll just take the Mega Me. Another Mirror Force. Let's go. I'm cooking. The stats on these are so bad. Another Sangan. Okay. No, I can't play four relinquish. That's not fair. I don't get a choice here. Saggy. Uh, negate attack. Mirror wall is pretty cool. Rain control. Okay. Yeah. Thousand eyes. More fusions. Chain energy. Dark sage. blast here. That's not bad. Dark Rabbit, Toon World. Oh, this is foreshadowing for the the upcoming TCG formats. Uh, these are all not very useful. Metal Zoa, nope. Cyber Soldier, nope. I mean, they're all bad. I don't know. Uh, tribute to the doomed or a second mirror wall. Let's take the removal spell. Magician of faith is pretty good. They all impress a revealing light. Omori dragon. Okay, some extra deck monsters. And now we get the last couple of cards. I think eight more cards. Equip only to a fire monster. I don't really have those. Heal and sword could come in handy. M warriori dragon. Maneater bug or second mirror wall. I do not have a Maneater bug just yet, but I have a lot of flip monsters already. It's kind of slow. Maybe a second mirror wall is kind of cool. Take another trap card. Ooh, yes. Change of heart. I mean, the other two are really cool, but change of heart is so good. Draw a card. More relinquished. Can't do that. Uh, mystic box. Unai with chain. I don't mind. And then some fusion monsters. And that's it. Okay. Well, I'll uh I'll look through this, see what we're working with. Replace some cards as well with the relinquished ritual spell and the relinquished itself, and then I'll show you guys what it what it looks like. >> I almost forgot to spin my wheel, which is another big change. We made a big change. It's not big. Uh I made it so that if you spin ritual or fusion, they're not just dead cards. I don't know why I didn't think of this in the first time, but sometimes when you're making a new series, there's a lot of new things you're thinking about and I just completely whiffed on the rituals and fusion. Like, they're just going to be duds. If you get a fusion or ritual, you can use the cards needed to make it. So, if you get a fusion, you get access to poly, you get access to the materials. Now, I don't think it would be fair to have three of everything because you get three poly, three I think you just get one of each is probably the way to do it because if you just got three, you could remove a lot of really terrible cards from your deck. So, it's going to be one fusion, one of each material, and one poly. And then ritual is going to be one ritual spell and one ritual monster. If you get it again, you can then pick another one and you can do two copies or whatever. Or if you get it in the draft, you can then do that. I should have done this before I drafted, but it's okay. We'll spin this. So, now ritual infusion is not the worst thing to get. And thank goodness I did this because we got a ritual, which means I get to pick one ritual. I don't actually even know if the rituals are in this, but we're about to find out. Surely relinquished, right? So, let's take a look. Rituals. We have Blackluster Soldier, Magician Black Chaos, or Relinquished. Ooh, that's tough. We could get a level eight. A level eight. Obviously, if you're picking between these, unless you have specific things that help spellcasters, which you could, like we had before, then you would go Blacklister Soldier. Relinquished actually sucks up your opponent's monster, though, which is pretty sick. And it's a lot easier to summon. You just need a level one. Any monster will work for this versus level eight. You need a high level. So, I'm going to take Relinquished and the Black illusion ritual for my spin. So, if I could get something that, you know, I can almost get Thousand Eyes Restrict if I had the Thousand Eyes idol. So, we're going to get relinquished and that. And then we're getting my boss monster in here. There's a lot of housekeeping that I got to keep up with here. And I'm going to tell you guys about it in just a second as soon as I add all of these uh these pieces cuz we got to cut this down to 40 cards. And right now, we have, as you can see, a lot more than 40 cards. But before we can even do that, this card is uncraftable. You can't use Canon Soldier, which kind of sucks. So, that means I had to go back to my draft. Let's flash back to where I picked the cannon soldier. I had three choices. I had just desserts, cannon soldier, ring of magnetism. So now I have to pick one of the other two. It kind of sucks because then I I had three choices and now I don't. But I think the best way to do it is to pick one of those other two. And I'm going to pick just desserts. Uh because I don't think Ring of Magnetism is very good. So we're going to do just desserts. I mean, ring of magnetism, actually thinking about it though, combined with one of the suien kazy because they have this quick effect where you reduce their attack to zero. You could be 2500, reduce it to 2,000, they have to attack it, use your effect, they go to zero. Actually kind of insane versus this is just pure burn, but you know, this could do 2500. So, I think I'll probably do this because if you don't get one of these guys out, it's a pretty terrible card. Now, I have to cut seven cards. And an easy one to cut right away is Elves Light. I picked this hoping we get some lights. We have Magician of Faith. We have Scalangel which is going to be face down. It might survive to have 900 plus 400,300. Same thing with this 300 plus 400 700 or Copycat which actually would benefit from this but it's literally a one of. So we're going to cut that. Then we're going to cut some other bad tribute monsters like battle steer at 500 attack points or 15,800 attack points at a level five is what I'm trying to say. And after that it gets pretty hard. I honestly probably should cut these guy, at least one or two of these guys, but I do want to be able to summon the gate guardian at some point. So, I'm going to play the four bricks. It's probably a big mistake playing the four bricks, but it's my boss monster and I want to be able to summon my boss monster, not just have it as an unplayable brick in my hand, he says as he plays four bricks and makes it an unplayable brick in his hand no matter what. Actually, I'm looking at this. You can't You literally have to have all three on the field to summon this. There's no way I'm [laughter] h Okay, maybe I don't try to play the B. I mean, I you have to play the boss monster in your deck. So, maybe I just play Sa and just have gate guardian is 100% a brick. Do I have anything that discards cards? I don't think I have anything that discards. [laughter] Oh, no. Tribute to the doom. So, he is a combo with tribute to the Doom. You have to discard gate guardian to destroy a card. That is the key. Okay, that will happen. It's going to get discarded by morphing jar anyway, so it's all good. I am going to play one SA in honor of the gate guardian. This is our mini boss monster that's honoring his father, gate guardian, who's too old now to fight. Honestly, I might cut the just desserts that we just added for all that that, you know, hoopla. We're going to cut that. We're going to cut two more monsters probably. I have a couple. So, one tribute dead card, two tributes. But these guys are actually like decent stats, so I'm probably gonna keep them. Plus, this is a dark, so we can have dragon nails. This one's not. This is a lot. Wait, this was a light. This could have had elf's light. I don't think we need it at 2600 and with its effect. Probably not going to be attacking over it. But, uh, yeah, let's do I think Jig and Bakadan's terrible. Let's get rid of that. Oh, yeah. And cannon soldier is not actually a card in our deck. So, we're actually at 40. This deck actually looks insane. If you, you know, just ignore the fact that there's a gate guardian in this deck. Deck's really good. This deck's way better than what I had last time. two swords revealing light, two change art, three dragon nails, two kunai and two mirror force and a mirror wall. The only problem with having a deck this good is now everyone's going to expect me to win. I'm supposed to be the underdog. So lot of pressure. I'm going to have to lock in take advantage of this awesome opportunity that we have. The problem is we do have a very difficult opponent this time. That's Joshua Smith and he is probably going to make me lose all of my star chips and I'm going to cry. We're going to have to go to life three. But life two I believe in. It's going to be amazing. Mirror force, change of heart, swords, revealing light, gate guardian in attack mode. I don't I really wish I could summon the gate guardian. Tributing six, though, you have to tribute six for the other guys. Keep them on the field, then some. No, it's just not happening. I can't do it. I I can't do it. Sue me. I don't know what to tell you guys. All right. And here is the wonderful Relinquish deck that I've come up with. I feel like Relinquish is actually one of the better cards to hit because you actually get some that this is a solid boss monster if you get to summon it. and we can summon it. We've got draw power, we've got searching power from Sangen and Witch. Uh so, as long as we find the ritual spell, we'll have no problem finding the relinquished itself. Uh and then we pair that with some good stuff uh spells and traps and some the best I kept the best speed sticks around. And uh and yeah, I even in I noticed I had a royal rare barrel dragon, so I kept it in the deck. That was the real reason I kept it. I hope I'll be able to summon it. Um but yeah, we'll see how it goes. I'm looking forward to it. Let's get started. We are back in the duelist kingdom and my second life has begun. I I just found out that I forgot to spin the second wheel, so I didn't pick up a free card from anything I spun. But I'm pretty happy with what I ended up with anyways, so I think it's okay. >> That's good news for me. That makes it I mean slightly easier hopefully that you didn't get a free card. Uh but it seems like you got some pretty good stuff. So I'm a little worried because it seems like from the three this is the third episode but first episode of this one. Uh very big variance in the decks. You could have awful, you could have really good, you could have in the middle. So I'm interested to see where you are at on that. >> Uh I I'll have you know that I I was pretty happy with the boss monster. Like >> that is a big v that's a big variance, too. >> Yeah, cuz pretty underwhelming. >> I I'm not going to lie to you. I have an underwhelming boss monster. And I will begin with this. >> Wow. >> And call it a day. >> Classic. >> I got to focus in cuz I I I lost in two episodes last time. So, I can't be doing that. Oh, wait, wait, wait.
