Dueling With RED HOT Decks From 2005 In Master Duel! | Childhood Yugioh EP30
Watch on YouTubeVideo summary
In this thirtieth episode of Childhood Yu-Gi-Oh, the hosts engage in a high-stakes duel utilizing iconic 2005 Structure Decks, pitting the Fire attribute's Blaze of Destruction strategy against the Water attribute's Infernal Flame Emperor lineup. Before the match begins, they spin a bonus wheel to acquire additional cards from the recent Dark Revelation 1 set, with the host securing a second copy of Skill Dark Magician and the opponent obtaining the powerful Blackluster Soldier - Envoy of the Beginning. The duel quickly evolves into a clash of burn strategies, where the Fire deck leverages aggressive damage dealers like Foxfire, Inferno, and Solar Flare Dragon, enhanced by the extra damage effects of Dark Room of Nightmare, while the Water player counters with high-attack monsters such as Legendary Ocean Dragon Neodylus and Ultimate Baseball Kid alongside defensive stall tactics using Level Limit Area B and Gravity Bind.
Throughout the intense battle, both players demonstrate deep knowledge of their respective archetypes, activating key effects like Molten Destruction to clear Spells and Traps and Snatch Steel to steal cards from the opponent's hand. Although the Fire deck possesses significant offensive potential through combos involving Raging Flame Sprite and its ability to utilize banished monsters for summoning Infernal Flame Emperor, it faces criticism for design flaws that create a conflict between needing graveyard resources for revival effects versus the requirement to banish them for summons. The Water player successfully stabilizes the match by utilizing their superior defensive lineup and high-attack monsters, ultimately outlasting the aggressive burn tactics of the Fire deck despite the latter's powerful synergies with Chimera and other support cards.
Following the conclusion of the duel, the hosts conduct a detailed analysis of the mechanics and balance issues inherent in these classic decks, noting that while the Fire attribute offers impressive attack points and burn effects, it often lacks proper counterplay compared to its Water counterpart. They draw parallels between this imbalance and other archetype matchups like Zombies versus Dragons or Warriors versus Spellcasters, expressing hope for a more balanced future format where neither side holds an overwhelming advantage without specific interactions. The episode also marks a nostalgic milestone as the hosts share a personal story about attending their first pre-release event in a mall, reflecting on the evolution of the game and thanking their supporters before teasing the next installment which will feature the Lost Millennium deck.

Do you remember the good old days of
Yu-Gi-Oh? Back when you'd bust out your
favorite stack of cards at the
playground to have legendary duels
without a care for a ban list? Back
before cards had an entire encyclopedia
of text on them? Well, we do. So much so
that we're going back to that time right
now. In this series, myself and Quick
Panic will be traveling back to the year
2002. We will each start with a starter
deck available during that time. Each
episode, we will spin two wheels, the
event wheel and the punishment wheel.
These two wheels will simulate our lives
as kids in the early 2000s and in doing
so will change our decks in different
ways. Excited to relive the early days
of Yu-Gi-Oh. Welcome to Childhood
Yu-Gi-Oh. Hello everyone. Welcome back
to May of 2005 where we are in childhood
Yu-Gi-Oh and we have another structure
deck release. Whether you like fire or
water, there's going to be something for
you guys today. And for me, I am a fiery
duelist. So, I'm going to get the what's
it called? Blaze of Destruction deck.
Now, I'm pretty sure the water deck's
much better, but we're about to find out
right now. We get to use the Infernal
Flame Emperor. We get to use the Great
Angus, Blazing Impachi, UFO Turtle. I
never get to use fire stuff, so this is
fun. Inferno can be special summoned by
removing or banishing a fire monster
from your graveyard. They used to call
it removing from your graveyard. Now,
it's called banish. I feel like molten
solar flare lock if we get two of those.
I don't know how many of each we get.
We'll see that in the deck profile.
Bunch of cool stuff here. a bunch of
staples that we're going to get to add
permanently. So, another snatch deal.
That'll be fun for the uh playground
episodes for quick panic. Then we have
another nobleman. Anything else we
actually need? Another heavy storm is
interesting. Level limit area B. That's
going to be fun. Uh Call the Haunted A
second one. And so the spell shield type
eight's cool as well. Another jar of
greed. There's a few cards in here that
I don't have multiples of that I now do.
But this is Wait, I just realized we
didn't anti again. We're really bad at
remembering to do that. Okay, we're
going to spin this wheel and see what I
get uh for the event wheel. There's no
punishment wheel on these because we're
only using a single deck. Um, somebody's
going to quit Yu-Gi-Oh again. It's not
our brother. It is our cousin. I feel
like this like a rare or something. Uh,
one ultra rare. Our cousin had the
bling. It must have been a rich cousin.
Must be at least two sets older than the
newest set. Okay, the newest set is Dark
Revelation 1. So, two sets older than
that. So, it can't be Dark Revelation 1,
Flaming Eternity, or Rise of Destiny, it
looks like. So, we can get anything
before Rise of Destiny and ultra rare. I
got to think about this. There's a lot
of great options. I think actually we
normally don't count the days episode
and then two. So, technically it would
be Dark Revelation 1 and Flame Eternity.
So, we could pick Rise of Destiny if we
wanted to. I don't think there's an
ultra rarity one out of there, but just
to clarify, I think that's how that
would work. Let's check out a few of the
older sets and see if there's anything
crazy that I didn't get that I can now
get for free.
>> What's cooking, duelist? Welcome back to
Childhood Yu-Gi-Oh, the only Yu-Gi-Oh
series on YouTube that is going to
remind you to drink your water, hydrate.
It's important. Today is a very special
episode because we're going back to the
structure deck showdown. I'm calling it
that. It It's working. I think it's
working. We're doing a structure deck
showdown again. Last time we saw zombies
versus dragons, and this week it's water
versus fire. But before we get into
that, I think it's time to spin a wheel.
Let's spin a wheel. Because this is a
structure deck showdown episode, we are
not going to spin a punishment wheel.
Yippee. Today, we are going to spin a
little bonus wheel. And as a reminder,
for these structure deck showdown
episodes, we are not going to be able to
use any other cards other than the ones
that we pull out of our structure deck.
Um, I texted Phil yesterday and I was
like, "Which one do you want?" He's
like, "I don't care. Choose whichever
one you want." I chose water cuz I like
water. And guess what? Guess what
happened to me? Since the last time we
saw each other, I found a card on the
pavement. So, I'm going to add a common
or rare from the most recent set to my
deck. Common or rare. What was the last
set? Okay, turns out last set was Dark
Revelation 1. I totally forgot. We get
to choose a common or rare.
Let's see. Let's see. We can choose this
together right now. I feel like this set
wasn't super chalk full of bangers. This
is why I was on the pavement, guys.
I know we're also looking through the
commons, but
I filtered to commons and rares, didn't
I? Or this is just commons. Okay. Do I
care about any of these commons?
I feel like I don't. Okay. What was a
rare? Oh, you can only filter to one at
a time. Okay. Um, rare reaper on the
nightmare is interesting.
The fusions are kind of interesting.
skill dark magician, a second tribe
infecting virus. Um, we could get our
third skill drain. I'm going to be a
little goofy guy and I'm going to grab
another copy of Skill Dark Magician. I
think this makes my second copy. Um,
just in case I want to play some Dark
Magician later, so I I just snagged a
skill Dark Magician. Let's look at the
decks.
>> Okay, here's some of the sets. Uh, in
Dark Beginning one, which we do have
access to. We haven't gotten United We
Stand, but we're getting close to that
just being aged out of being any good.
Mage Power, same thing. Thousand Eyes is
one that we are going to get in. Well,
no, wait. I already got that. I got that
in master collection one, didn't I? I
have not used that yet. That's something
I need to consider. Okay, Thousand Eyes.
I could get a second Torrential Exodia
would be funny. We have Monster Reborn.
We have one Ryeki. So, really, it comes
down to I mean, big shield guard.
Another third snatch deal. Anybody? Uh,
it comes down to if we want really
nothing in here. There's nothing.
Ancient Sanctuary,
Enemy Controller is a good card. That
could be pretty decent. Uh, not much
there. We could just grab the BLS and
just go for it and have it. I don't have
a Demock. That could be kind of cool.
Manticor, sure. Dimension Fusion is
pretty crazy if we wanted to grab that.
That I don't believe is even limited
yet, or at least not in the upcoming ban
list that's going to be happening soon.
That could be a pretty wild card to play
with. The question is, am I gonna hold
out for BLS this long or should I just
go ahead and grab it because we are
still a few episodes away and it's just
a free BLS. Now, same thing here. Dark
Crisis is nothing crazy. I could get the
Breaker finally. Could go ahead and grab
that. Dark Paladin is a cool card, but I
don't think I'm going to grab that. I
think just make it easy. Let's just get
the VLS. Let's just go ahead and have
it. The problem is I want to surprise
him and he's going to see this episode.
We're not going to use it this time. Um,
so I might just have to just bite the
bullet and take it. So, let's let's go
ahead and grab the BLS. There's no
reason to pass on it this time cuz
there's nothing I really need cuz I
pretty much have everything right now.
Okay, let's add the Blackluster Soldier.
We finally have it in our arsenal. We
don't have to wait for Master
Collection. In the next few episodes, I
will actually be able to use it and Kyle
will feel the wrath. And I already
pulled a a Detalus from my IOC packs and
I was trying to jam like a water
strategy previously. This is going to
give us another datalus. Uh, but I get
an Ocean Dragon Lord Neodyilus, which I
think I remember not being as good as
the other one. Um, I have to
I have to special summon this by
tributing Adetilus. So, mine's already
harder to get out. You know, it was my
turn. It was my turn. Anyway, I can send
Umei and um send all cards in both
players hands and on the field to the
graveyard except this one. So, I send us
into top decking having a 2900. this. I
mean, if I pull it off, that's pretty
huge. Uh, I've got some big beers just
like FAS. I've got a a tutor. I get
tribe infecting virus. Fenrier comes
back for me. Uh, bug Roth. I wonder how
many of these datalus I get. Uh, Mermaid
Knight. I get my own copy of Mobius,
which is huge. Um, Snatch Steel. Uh, so
that's going to be like my second or
third copy. I get another Primat. Um,
another creature swap for me is pretty
cool. Salvage, hammershot is pretty
huge. Small wave, big wave, small wave
is a pretty cool one because this lets
me just special summon monsters from my
hand without tributes. So that's pretty
interesting. Dust tornado, I get another
call or I get my first call to haunted
actually. Tornado wall is really
irritating. I think this is like my
third torrential zing. Who is crazy and
I get another spell shield type eight.
This is going to be pretty cool. I'm
excited to get into this. Let's see how
it goes. All right, Blaze of Destruction
has been built. I think that's the name,
not Blaze of I keep calling it the the
the modern set name. What was this
called? Bla Blaze of Let me double check
that I got that right. Blaze of
Destruction. Yeah. Okay. So, we I did
get right. That was just a bunch of
extra for nothing. This is a pure fire
deck, as you guys can tell. 100% fire
monsters. We have two vanillaas here
with a lot of attack points. We have
little Chimera, which is basically like
the star boy of fire. So, it adds 500
attack to all fire. It also loses water
attack monsters. This will actually be
good in the battle against the d the
fury from the D because they're going to
be all water monsters for the most part.
Foxfire, I can't quite figure this card
out. When it's destroyed, and if it's
face up at the start of the damage step,
destroyed by battle, it can special
summon itself, but it can't be tributed.
It does kind of have some synergy with
things that need fire on the field. Like
if you uh this card gains five 1,000 for
each face up fire monster on the field,
so it'll help ultimate baseball kid. You
can tribute it for Gaia Soul. There's a
couple of things you can do with it, but
it doesn't really seem that good.
Overall, the ultimate baseball kit, if
we have multiple fire guys on the field,
this guy can be 2500, 3,000, 4,000,
1500, whatever it needs to be. It's
going to gain a lot of attack points for
each fire card on the field. It's going
to make it really powerful. You can also
send a fire monster you control to
inflict 500 damage. So, another thing we
can do with boxfire, direct damage,
which there's a lot of things that kind
of synergize with Dark Room of
Nightmare, which says each time your
opponent takes damage from a card
effect, except Dark Room Nightmare
inflict 300 extra damage. So if we did
this 500 burn damage it would do 800 if
dark room was on the field as well. So a
lot of burn go like from a fire deck.
Not surprising but there is a lot of
burn strategies here. It gives us three
UFO turtle which is awesome. And that
can pair with the backfire which if a
face up fire monster is destroyed it's
like 500 damage. So if we lose UFO
turtle we float into another one. I
don't think that would miss the timing.
If it would that's awful. I'm assuming
that it's going to burn for 500 and
we're going to get to float into another
fire. Then if you have Dark Room of
Nightmare up, that's 800. You float
another guy. It's a lot of burn damage.
And speaking of burn damage, the
Inferno, if it does destroy a monster by
battle, it's only 1100 attack. Then we
inflict 1500 damage to our opponent.
Also, this is a special summon by
banishing a fire from the graveyard. So,
it's a pretty cool uh way to get a free
body out there. There's two of these.
And the more free bodies we get, the
better Ultimate Baseball Kid gets, the
better uh you know, we can use Guaia
Soul to tribute monsters, become more
powerful. It's pretty good. Then we have
the Molten Zombie. If it's special
summoned from the graveyard, draw one
card. We have a primat and we have a
call of the haunted to work with that.
Two solar flares for the solar flare
lock. If you have two of these up, your
opponent cannot attack you. And then we
have 500 damage for each. If there's
only one of these, then this card can't
be attacked. So, if you have both, then
neither of them can be attacked and
nothing can be attacked because they're
both up and they both say, "Well, you
control another pyro monster. This card
cannot be attacked." And it it gets
pretty crazy. So, then it burns 500
every turn. Uh, then we have aos to
tribute summon and burn. So, another way
to burn and, you know, dark room
nightmare, etc. The Infernal Flame
Emperor. We can tribute summon, banish
up to five monsters, destroy all spells
and traps on the field. Uh, it's just a
tribute summon without that though. Two
tributes. As a kid, I always thought
nine star meant it was three tributes.
It's just two unless it specifically
says three. But we can destroy all back
row. Then we get pottery. We get tribute
to doom, heavy storm, noblemen, meteor
destruction. Another way to do damage.
They have to have over 3,000 life
points. You can do a,000 damage. Uh,
snatch steel. That'll give them life
points, but we will get to steal uh some
amazing stuff, and I'm sure Kyle will
appreciate that. Premature barrel,
necklace of command. a good way to draw
a card or discard a card depending on
what we need in the situation. Molten
Destruction to power everybody up. We've
already talked about dark room. Two
level limit area B. This deck's pretty
annoying. Burn and stall. MST reload.
They love reload in these old decks.
It's just terrible. You minus one every
single time. Two dust tornado, a jar, a
spell shield type eight, call the
haunted, and then the backfire to do
more burn damage. So, this is certainly
going to be an interesting game uh or at
least match. Hopefully, we can at least
burn him to death once cuz that's sort
of the goal of this deck. LET'S FIND
OUT. I'M ON FIRE. I'M HOT. I'M GONNA
BURN EVERYTHING AROUND ME. WELL, in a
nice way. Not like scary. Not a scary
way.
>> Before we start dueling, it's really
important that you stay hydrated. Have
you had some water?
>> Oh, good point. Wait, is this a trap?
>> No.
>> I'm a fire guy. I CAN'T DRINK.
OH GOSH. OH, IT'S DOUSING ME. OH, IT'S
NOT GOOD.
WOW. The water guy versus the fire guy.
Just wait. This is the kind of deck
you're going to love. You're going to
love this fire deck.
>> I I So, I went over the I went over the
deck lists as a good co-host would
>> and I noticed you have some burn cards.
>> I have a lot of burn cards. I have a lot
of floodgates. It's great. Yeah. Not a
lot. I have a few floodgates. So, it's
going to be really fun. I think you're
going to enjoy this.
>> I have a couple copies of one of our
least favorite cards. So, that's going
to be cool.
>> Ooh, that's good. Uh, do you have any
You got your event this week. Did you
get anything interesting? Oh, I found a
card on the uh side.
>> Wow, that that's an old school one. Oh,
>> yeah. So, that was pretty fun.
>> I I I also found a card in a way.
>> Oh, how
>> 2,000 points.
>> Look at his points.
>> Holy crap, that's a lot of points. Well,
I found a card because a, as we know, my
cousin,
>> he got tired of uh the old Yu-Gi-Oh. So,
>> what's up with my family? They don't
like Yugi. Do they like it or not? Pick
a lane.
>> They hate Yu-Gi-Oh. Well, he quit, which
was an ultra rare. He had a lot of
ultras. And uh I finally gave in and I I
decided I would be a BLS guy, too. So, I
FINALLY HAVE ONE.
>> OH, WELCOME TO the club, buddy.
>> So, now we can both look at the cool
artwork. Uh not today, though. We're
going to have to save that for later. Uh
do I want to do this this early? I
guess. Why not? I mean, level limit area
B. Super fun.
>> Okay, enjoy. My guy's level three.
>> Yeah. Yeah. That's Oh, that's actually
crazy counter. That's a crazy counter.
So, only it only works on your big guys.
I don't know what I do then.
Legendary ocean. Why are you like this?
>> That's a little bit funny.
>> You counter my deck. That's crazy.
You're 2,000 guys level three now.
>> Uh, that's that's hilarious.
>> Well, my guys are not. So, this is kind
of bad for me. It probably hurts me more
than it hurts you.
>> Well, I'm gonna summon one of these.
>> You have that in your deck.
>> Isn't that cool?
>> No. No.
>> The cool reprints kind of Yeah, I
figured. So, you get three turtles and I
get three bears. I think it's pretty
cool.
>> Mhm.
>> That they released these decks because
the last set of decks was like
supporting types, right? Zombies and
dragons. And now they're supporting
attributes and these decks become like
way more cohesive.
Yeah, they are more cohesive.
Unfortunately, uh yours has a lot more
attack points right now.
>> Flare dragon is not my favorite card.
I'm going to
>> really You don't like floodgates?
>> Um no. And if you have two of them on
the field, you can't attack either of
them and then they both burn you for
500.
>> Yeah. So, it's a lot of damage straight
to your life points.
>> That's pretty nasty.
Speaking of life points, I will
activate, this is not unfortunately an
ultimate rare, but I'll activate my
Meteor of Destruction.
>> That card has a gorgeous ultimate rare.
That is such a pretty one.
>> It does. And I'll summon this.
>> Yeah, this is great. This is going well.
>> No, not my life points. Please
>> take 500.
>> I guess I don't have any choice.
>> Okay.
Oh,
>> all of the haunted
>> dude.
>> Solar flare dragon. I figured you might
have that.
>> If I just did this instead.
>> That is really not good for me.
>> I could have waited till my turn and
tribe infecting it, but
>> yeah,
>> I don't want to discard any cards.
Really?
>> Yeah, it's unfortunate for me.
>> I wanted to at least have a cool lock
for at least a couple seconds, you know?
>> Just like 2 seconds of lock.
>> Yeah, two seconds of lock. My level
limit putting my own guys in defense and
not your guys is pretty sick.
>> That is hilarious, actually.
>> I'm just saving I'm saving my life
points. What can I say?
>> Don't worry, I've got some really good
cards in my hand that will definitely
defeat these.
>> Hey, we both got a free monarch. That's
pretty cool. And you really needed
yours.
>> Yeah, I I don't have any monarchs, so
this is really good to get.
>> You barely had Didn't you get three
Thealos or something? Yeah, I have I
have I think I have three of those.
Three like three Mobius now or two at
least. I think I have three.
>> Oh, okay. Time time to feel my wrath.
Foxire and attack mode.
>> Wait, wait, wait. Be cool. Be cool. Be
cool.
>> Foxfire. Look at this little tiny light
on the end of his tail. This is like a
baby like Charmeleon or something.
>> Ooh. Do you remember like in the early
days of Pokemon where Charmeleon was
always in this pose where he had like
one of his hands on the ground and his
like tail was arched over his back?
>> Yeah,
>> dude. That was that was sick. And
Charmander had like a little spine on
his back.
>> That was fun.
>> But they kind of made Charmeleon
boneless.
>> He was very flexy.
Speaking of Flexi, Foxfire is back.
>> Oh no.
>> Oh yeah. You feel the wrath of the fox.
I'll draw this. Oh, interesting.
>> Oh, now you're in big trouble.
>> Probably.
>> I think you're in big trouble if I do
this UFO.
I wish I could go in attack mode. That
would be great.
Level limit area B. Incredible card for
me right now.
>> Dude, I'm dying.
Unshaven Angler.
>> Let me put you out of your misery buddy.
>> How could you do this to me?
>> I'm trying to help you out, brother. You
You locked yourself. Let me help you
out.
>> What do you mean? I have Foxfire. It can
go in attack mode.
>> This is what friends are for. We got it.
>> Thank you. Let's get this to the next
game. Let's just get I I don't even know
how do I beat your attack points.
They're so strong.
I need you to not get legendary ocean
because then I can use my level limit
and not have to
>> You need That's true. You need to draw
Blazing. Didn't you get blazing and
patchy? He's 1850.
>> I have Blazing Pochi. He has a lot of
points. He'll He'll be ready.
>> Those are some good points.
>> Yeah, Foxfire's ready though. This time
Foxfire is going to go crazy.
>> I like that Foxfire has to be in face up
as during the damage step.
>> Otherwise, it'll be too broken.
>> Too broken if you got a 300 every turn.
>> Can't it like not be tributed or
something silly, too?
>> Yeah, it can't be tributed either. Yeah,
>> they're like so against giving tribute.
>> They're like, "Dude, this card is way
too good. You can't be doing that."
Yeah, absolutely never.
>> Wow, what an amazing hand I have here.
>> Yeah, I have cards in my hand that you
would go, "Wow, those are trading
cards."
>> I would go Yu-Gi-Oh!
>> Yu-Gi-Oh!
>> Wow! another Yu-Gi-Oh card. This one is
going to be very helpful. I'm sure this
will matter a lot.
>> NO.
>> 1,000 points.
Um,
>> dude, Alistister, calm down. I get it.
>> I'll set a card.
>> Oh, Reicho. If I summon a card,
>> you just touch Reicho and he's like,
"I'm a good boy." And he is.
>> He is not as good as my molten zombie
though.
>> Uh-oh. When this card is special
summoned from the graveyard, draw one
card.
>> Oh, no.
>> Sacred Crane. Feel the pain.
>> Oh, I see.
>> But a fire version.
Interesting.
>> This is not great.
>> Okay, that's good. That's good. I I I
like to hear that you don't have a 2,000
attack monster this time.
>> I guess I'll just do this.
>> Setting a card face down.
>> Sadly,
>> it's my turn.
>> Oh no.
>> Ah, now you're going to feel my wrath.
Wow, my cards suck. Okay,
>> your divine wrath.
>> LITTLE CHIMERA TO THE FIELD.
>> UM,
oh my goodness, little Chimera.
>> I guess that's fine.
>> It is quite fine. And then I'll activate
this dark room of nightmare from Ferotic
Guardian.
You're going to get burned
and you're going to like it. All right,
mold zombie attack.
>> Can you stop laughing at my cards?
>> I mean,
can you stop laughing at my deck,
please? This is not funny.
It's not funny to laugh at my deck.
>> I wonder if the guy who like put
together this deck really thought
Oh, good choice. All right, I'll I'll
draw. Oh,
>> I'll draw a card.
>> Did you think I was going to use it on
your dark room of nightmare?
>> I can't believe you didn't. Why wouldn't
you? I get extra 300 damage. You're
going to You're going to You won't laugh
when that 300 comes up. Okay,
>> you make a really good point.
>> I know. I know. I do.
>> I guess I do something like this.
>> Oh my gosh. Oh, wait.
>> You've been weakened.
>> No, no, no. We're good. We're good.
We're good.
>> My little chimera.
>> Yeah. Okay.
>> Okay. This is not cool.
>> Now we're on even footing, I guess.
>> This is not cool.
>> Look size.
>> This card. What a great card. That was a
fantastic card to draw.
>> Okay. Okay. Jeez.
>> But that was not the one. Now you feel
the wrath OF DARK ROOM OF NIGHTMARE.
THESALOS. TRIP A MONSTER.
Uh
huh.
Got a few monsters over there. Prepare
to feel an extra 300 of damage.
>> Uhhuh.
>> I will rip away your levia dragon. Oh,
nice.
>> Use that.
>> Extra 300 to the face. And now I attack
into your trap card.
>> Okay, no trap card. Good, good, good,
good, good, good, good. Thesallos, use
your aggressive feelings.
Look at him. He's holding fire. He's
literally holding fire.
>> He is.
This doesn't help, does it?
No.
>> No, it doesn't. Not in the face of
Thesalos, the Firestorm Monarch.
>> Yeah, man. It's a good card.
>> He's great and powerful. And he calls
upon his loyal servant, the UFO turtle.
>> Oh, finally. Okay, I'm going to use this
now.
>> No.
The one time.
>> The one time.
>> I just didn't want you to get cheeky,
you know.
>> Oh, man. I always play super
conservative. I get a little aggressive.
This is what happens.
>> That's true. That's true. All right.
>> This is what happens.
>> Fenrirer, come on out, buddy.
>> Okay, there are no monsters to destroy,
so that's good.
>> And this
Kchow,
>> I'm safe.
>> And
>> oh, come on.
>> Legendary Ocean, baby.
>> Not this time.
>> Get him.
>> I think he gets the power boost not from
Legendary Ocean, but from Reicho. I
think this is like his cousin.
>> Yeah, it is. They're related. They're
like definitely the same guy. All right,
I'll draw this. That's nice.
>> They obviously made this mate for me.
Dude, Reicho is so
>> I could sit here just petting him all
day.
>> Why would you do this to me?
>> So mean. I got to get rid of Ultimate
Baseball kid.
>> Brother, what?
>> How am I going to play baseball?
>> All right. Solar flare dragon to the
field. I don't love that for me.
>> Oh, did you hear about dark room of
nightmare?
>> Yeah.
>> Dark room of nightmare, my goat.
>> Okay, I take this.
>> I mean,
>> it's adding up, buddy.
>> It's doing it. It's doing
>> It's adding up.
>> All right.
>> Better be careful.
>> I
I guess. Uh, sure.
>> Why does everyone have so MANY ATTACK
POINTS?
OH,
>> BECAUSE HE didn't shave.
>> Where's my fire field spell? I need
that.
>> This guy can be treated as two tributes
for the tribute of summon of a water
monster. But when I have legendary
ocean, nothing is a two tribute water
monster, so it doesn't matter.
>> Wow, that is really great. That is
fantastic.
This is great. This is really good.
>> Okay,
>> everything's good.
>> Hey, at least you got Dark Room and
Nightmare.
>> Mhm.
>> That's sick.
>> Hey, just watch out. Seven more
activations of Dark Room and Nightmare.
You're in trouble. Hey, don't threaten
me with a good time.
>> All right,
get him.
>> Come on. We got so many great cards in
our deck. Let's draw one of them. And by
great, I mean, you know, there there's
28 of them. Let's just say that.
>> 28 options.
>> Good options.
>> 28 options indeed. All right.
>> Oh no.
>> Oh no. Pass.
>> Uh, I don't like
>> activate my effect. Cool.
>> Whittle him down.
>> Yeah.
Don't Don't absolutely love that.
>> You already activated your meteor
destruction, though, so you're boned
guy.
>> Well, it doesn't matter because that
would have to be over 3,000 life points.
>> So, it sucks.
>> Star boy,
>> look at this guy.
>> How can I face the great star?
>> I don't think you can, man.
>> No. Look at him.
>> Can't believe this. The tragedy has
struck.
>> Don't worry, there's plenty of great
cards I could draw right here.
>> Yes, just what I was looking for.
>> Can you beat my unbeatable combo?
>> How will you stop this?
>> Oh no.
>> Yay.
>> This is great. This is awesome. Are you
serious right now?
>> Uh, just in case.
>> What if you activate something?
>> What are you doing?
>> I'm going to chain my gravity bind.
>> Oh my gosh,
>> that's so mean. This is even meaner.
This is just mean,
>> is it?
>> This is just This is just mean, man.
>> Um, well, at least you have Dark Room of
Nightmare.
>> I know. I do have it. It's It's up. It's
face up. Did you have any other
monsters, by the way?
>> Nope. This was it.
>> That sucks. So that Ziggings and Who
went so crazy. Oh my gosh,
you get so many good cards. I love Zing
and who.
>> All right, it's fine.
>> Just just the one of them. But uh
>> I just want the comments to note that I
played aggressive and I lost because of
it. All right, I want them to note that
every time they say you're
>> Hey, Roxen, you're always so
conservative, man. And you sit back on
your one card. You should definitely
summon another one. Is that Morty?
Ricko told me it's like a mixture of
that and Mickey Mouse or something. I
don't know what it was.
>> Well, that that was really fun. Ruxen,
you should
>> Why do you have a card that lowers your
level and you have gravity bind when I
have level limit?
>> It's Come on. That's so mean to the fire
deck. Can we be nice to the fire deck?
>> You know what, Morty? You just got to
You got to summon littleer guys. That
That That's what you got to do.
>> Oh my gosh.
That's amazing. That's incredible.
>> Do you have the combo?
>> Oh no.
>> WHAT WILL YOU DO NOW?
>> IS IT the meteor? Did you start with the
meteor every game?
>> Uh, no. I wish I had the meteor.
>> That would have been hilarious.
>> I don't even know what I want to start
with to be honest.
>> It's not dark room nightmare sadly, BUT
>> I ACTIVATE THE LEGENDARY. STOP STARTING
WITH THAT. I GUESS YOU did the last game
and that's why it was close.
>> And no fear. I got the space mambo,
baby.
>> You got 1,900 points with a space mambo.
>> Wait, this guy's 1,700 originally.
>> Look at this mambbo.
>> Dude, this is this is great. This is
good. Good stuff. Let me draw this.
>> Dude, did you know that he's a living
relic that was found in the ruins of a
super civilization on Alfard 4? Dude, I
had no idea about that. Actually,
>> did you know that,
>> dude? A lot of people don't know that.
>> A lot of people don't know about that uh
that lore, but it's pretty crazy.
>> You know what's really sad?
>> No.
>> Is space mambo? I I can't do anything
about space mambo. So,
>> um
>> I have really bad news for you. That's
not a good trade.
>> I I know that. I know that, BUT I CAN'T
DO ANYTHING ELSE. WHAT DO YOU WANT me to
do?
>> Oh, no.
Solar flare dragon.
I can't beat a 1,900 attack point.
>> Who made these decks?
>> You're going to get 800 points of
damage. But
>> whoever made these decks hates fire.
That's all I've learned.
>> Why are they so mean?
>> I didn't even know this. For the record,
when I was talking to Ruxen about this,
I was like, "All right, which one do you
want?" He was like, "I don't care." And
I was like, "I don't care." Neither of
us looked at the card lists,
but this happened.
>> Seven colored fish. Oh, that guy's under
level four. This is good.
>> Yeah, he's level three.
>> Sick. This is great. Yeah, this is
awesome.
>> This is cool. This is
>> Wait till I draw this one right here.
This is the one.
>> Uhoh.
Ah.
Ah. Yay.
Well, just in case that card was good.
>> STOP DOING THAT.
>> IT'S JUST IN CASE. OKAY.
>> I HAVE ONE PLAY. ONE PLAY.
>> Oh my gosh.
>> Hey, listen. I'm going to be nice. I'm
going to be nice. You don't like gravity
bind? I don't like gravity bind. Let's
just fix that. Okay.
>> Okay. So, okay. It didn't. Wait, it
actually sort of mattered, but it didn't
matter.
>> Okay.
>> You know, that dust tornado would have
been cool to use just like last game
when you pinned it down at the end. You
know, that'd have been great if you
didn't do that both games in a row.
>> Would it have?
>> Yeah, that would that would have been
nice.
>> Okay, that's good to know.
>> Close. This is great. Yeah, 2600 points.
Yeah, I can beat that 100%.
>> Okay, didn't do it.
>> Nothing to worry about. Um,
all right. Let's uh let's do this.
>> Ooh, good start.
>> Let's bring back a really powerful
monster. The raging flame spring.
>> Oh no. Oh. Oh.
>> Oh yeah. Take that.
>> Oh no.
>> 100 points. Now I'm,00.
>> Oh, buddy.
>> Oh, you you better watch out. I'm
getting rid of one of your cards.
>> Uh-oh. Too bad I don't have enough
points to do anything. Oh, salvage, too.
Oh my gosh.
>> Two of them.
>> That's crazy.
>> You could just get those giant guys
back.
>> Whatever will I do. If only I could
activate my Levia Dragon's effect again.
>> OH NO.
>> WAIT A WAIT A SECOND.
>> WOW, that's a really cool boss. Like I
drew my boss last game. The boss that
requires two tributes and doesn't do
anything. That guy's pretty clutch.
Wait, he destroys spells and trap cards.
>> Yeah, if you banish five fire monsters.
>> Is it up to five and then you destroy?
>> Maybe it's up to five. But I have to
summon him first. That's the real
problem.
>> You should summon him next time.
>> Yeah, I should try summoning him. That
would help.
>> I summon my boss monster for the record.
>> Your boser is the bigger datalist.
>> Neody requires me to tribute one.
>> Time out. We got to do one more. I got
to do something with fire. Okay. Yeah,
let me let me let me draw some good
cards. Okay.
>> Okay.
>> I have I think I have a couple in here.
>> Do it. You draw some good cards.
>> Okay.
>> All right. I'm ready. I'm ready.
>> And guess what? You can go first.
>> Thanks. I appreciate that.
>> Cuz I'm so nice.
>> I can't wait to draw a level limit
again.
>> That was hilarious. Game one. I'm not
sure anything.
>> I've got it every game. I've got it
every game. This is good. Yep. Oh wow.
Hey, if you don't win this one,
>> I got bad news for you.
>> Um, I got different cards. That's good,
I guess. Um,
>> dude, this card is so cool.
>> Wow, that's amazing. What a great card.
>> Yeah.
>> Okay.
Okay.
>> Okay.
>> Yeah.
>> Okay.
Uh,
I hope your hand is really bad.
>> It's really bad.
>> Okay, cool. Go ahead.
>> Oh, good. Okay, so
>> unless this card is good.
>> Hey, a playable card. LET'S GO.
>> NO, DON'T DRAW PLAYABLE CARDS. NO,
>> let's go. Playable cards.
>> Oh, that's so playable.
>> This is super playable. That's very
playable.
>> This is as playable as it gets.
>> No.
>> And then one just throw down
>> the mother grizzly.
>> I'll draw this card.
>> I imagine her like
>> Oh, yeah. Now playable cards.
Time to get hungry. Who wants a burger?
>> Oh no.
>> How about this?
>> That Angus is great.
>> Wait, this card is so bad.
Why is this card so bad? Well, let's use
this. I have a field spell, too.
>> Molten Destruction.
>> I have a lot of points. Wait, if I
attack you, you're going to float into
something and then it's going to be bad.
>> But I have to do something at some
point.
>> Yeah,
>> don't worry. I I've got Great Angus.
What What could go wrong?
>> Dude, he's huge and great.
>> Great Angus.
>> He's a great violent beast. Just for the
record, it's always Berserk is what I
hear.
>> Yeah. Yeah. I don't even think a person
has ever seen it silent.
>> Just like
>> I know for a fact no one's ever seen it
silent.
>> Where' you
>> People say that actually. So you really
can't trust them.
>> Really?
>> It might be might not be true. Unshave
an angler.
>> Oh, this is good. Getting tributed for
two monsters. Great.
>> This guy's got a beard.
>> Uh, that's good. I love when they get
tributed for a lot of monsters.
>> Okay. Well, you're making it sound like
you don't, just for the record.
>> All right. Yeah. I don't know why. Yeah,
just
>> okay. Just in case that's something.
>> Stop doing that.
>> Hey, you could have activated something.
That would have been bad for me.
>> No.
>> So,
>> my Angus.
>> Oh, let's go ahead. I'm going to tribute
this guy.
>> And he counts as two, which is cool. I'm
just gonna do one of these.
>> Good. Yeah. 2600 points. Yeah, we can
handle that.
>> Yep. And
>> I only have 23.
>> This is probably fine. We'll just do one
of these.
>> Okay.
>> Mhm. Mhm.
>> Dang. Wish I could bring my Angus back.
That'd be pretty sick.
>> Dude, that'd be great.
>> Would be great. Would be cool.
>> But he's too violent.
>> He's too He honestly is too violent. I
had to banish him. I had to get rid of
him.
This is a good card. Yeah, this one
should this one should be super relevant
here
>> raging flame sprite.
>> Oh no,
>> he has so many points. He's about to
have even more potentially.
>> Wait, does he have book on the table? I
never noticed that. That's pretty cool.
>> I don't know why is there,
>> but it is.
>> He just wants to He wants to have it,
>> dude. The ultimate combo. And you think
you're going to attack my monster?
Necklace of command.
>> Okay, first off, this is a gorgeous
ultimate rare. I don't know what this
does. The
>> nothing. It's really bad. I mean, I'll
draw a card or something card. Oh,
>> it's so good. It's amazing by battle, by
the way.
>> Couldn't be everything. That would be
way too broken.
I'll set a card.
>> Okay. Well, just in case that one's
good, I'm going to do this.
>> Thank goodness. Get that crap out of
there. Yeah, just thank you. Why do you
always have spell and trap removal or
something?
>> I don't know. I'm just really good. I
guess
>> Nobleman's very good against a deck that
never sets cards. I love that.
>> I don't think I don't think you mean
that.
>> Um,
>> what do you mean?
>> I don't think you mean that, man.
>> Are you going to attack destroy me by
battle so I can draw a card with
necklace? I'm trying to figure out how I
don't Wait, you know what' be funny is
if I did this.
>> Why don't you just do it? Just attack
it.
>> No, watch this. This is funnier.
>> I have so many good cards. You should be
worried about
>> this. Hey, this is funnier.
>> Creature swap. Okay, you're going to
take it. Okay.
>> Mhm. Mhm.
>> All right, that's fine.
>> Yep. And then Mother Grizzly goes there.
>> That's fine. Yeah. Wait, creature swap.
Did I get those?
>> I don't know. I only got one.
>> Why would I get anything good? No, of
course I didn't.
So, I'm going to use this now.
>> Oh my gosh.
>> And I don't know this. Wait, that
weakens my flame sprite. Oh no.
>> Oh no. But you still have enough points,
I think.
>> Oh, thank goodness. It's getting more
points. Oh, I was scared for a second.
>> Oh no.
>> The raging flame sprite is raging,
>> dude.
>> I'll draw this.
>> Got that book of ta you.
Ah, it's about time I got that card. The
best card in my deck. Uh
>> oh.
>> Dark Room of Nightmare.
>> Oh no.
>> Quiver in Fear against the great, the
powerful
INFERNO IN ATTACK MODE.
>> WHAT DO I EVEN DO about this?
>> And then Ultimate Baseball Kid is
Sidekick.
>> Oh, wait.
>> With 2600
points.
>> Oh, for
>> 1,000. Thanks for raging flame sprite
for becoming powerful.
>> That's
>> first I'll do this. I'll attack star
boy.
>> Are you kidding me right now?
>> Crazy.
>> Are you kidding me? What is wrong with
you?
>> Hey, I was using that.
>> There is something wrong with you.
That's all I know.
There is something wrong with you. All
right, I will tribute this. Wait, this
is bad for me, but I'll do it.
>> You're going to weaken your guy.
I know, but take that.
It didn't matter cuz you have raging
flame sprite which can attack directly.
>> My own monster used against me.
>> Let's
>> You want to level him to level four? Can
you bump him up a little bit?
>> Hold on. Wait. I could do Hold on. How
do I get him stronger?
>> How did Gravity Mine do this to me? We
were actually killing it right there.
>> Hold on. I need to let me try again.
>> Reload one guard.
What the?
HOW? THE BEST RELOAD OF ALL TIME.
Oh my gosh. That's insane.
>> Incredible,
>> dude. Raging flame sprite, stop being
mean to me.
Watch this. I'll draw this card. This
will save me.
Is it saving you?
Oh, wait.
Hold.
He's not saying anything. So, it's got
to be good.
It's got to be really, really good.
It's got to be super good.
It's got to be really, really good.
DUST TORNADO.
>> OH NO.
>> OVISCERATE THAT GRAVITY.
>> WHY? Raging flame sprite. I thought we
were on the same team.
>> I I think you should have reloaded into
a pot of greed at some point.
>> I should have tried that. I should
>> I should have tried it. I forgot all
about that strategy. The reloaded a pot
of greed strategy. How could I forget?
>> It's It's a common It's a common uh
strategy back in the day, but I guess
now that this is so far in the future,
we've forgotten the old.
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. Now that it's 2005, you know, uh
>> as a big fire guy, um Justice for Fire
Decks, I believe we're going to get
better support. We need something.
>> Like,
>> you know, you know what I'm saying? Like
>> you're going to get some support.
>> Yeah. in the future. Like I fire decks
are going to take over the meta after
2005. I have a strong feeling that we're
going to have really amazing cards that
will be added.
>> Yeah.
>> You think you think that might happen?
>> Just like wait a decade.
>> A decade or two or three or
>> Well, yeah. Maybe they'll make like a
bear and like a gorilla and then they
got like a cool spell card that you can
like search with and it gives them a
passive boost. I don't know. We'll call
him like the brotherhood of the fire.
Never mind. That That's dumb. We We'll
never do that. So, how do you feel about
fire now?
>> I feel very fiery about fire. I've got a
lot of opinions. I am uh
>> Do you think next week play like three
Dark Room of Nightmare with three
Theestoloal to
>> That was the problem. They only had I
think there was only one Dark Room of
Nightmare in here. If I had three, I
would have won. You know,
>> that was the problem. I I only know.
>> Hey, I did play two level limit area B.
That worked out super well.
>> Yeah, that was smart.
>> That was cool. I never got backfire. the
the two of some never got that. Not that
that would have mattered, but
>> Oh, dude.
>> Yeah, I I didn't get that. Um, did I
What else did I not draw?
>> I should have gotten Foxfire more. That
definitely would have That would have
worked.
>> Would have helped you more.
>> Oh, here's my reload. I could have
gotten my Pot of Greed. That would have
been good.
>> You should have reloaded into Pot of
Greed, I think.
>> I didn't even know about that.
>> My My deck list had like tribe infecting
and Mobius. I didn't draw Mobius. That's
pretty sick.
>> But tribe infecting and Mobius Salvage
is insane. Big wave, small wave I wanted
to play, which is a really cool one
where you destroy as many water monsters
on your side of the field as possible
and then just get to special summon
guys.
>> Yeah.
>> Um,
>> wait, you didn't play necklace of
command.
>> So, I thought about it, but I felt like
winning this week, so I decided not to.
>> Oh, wow. I don't know why that's in
here.
>> Yeah. No, that makes sense for a fire
deck because um you get burned by having
that card in your deck.
>> Yeah, I think that they took that theme
a little too seriously and just burned
my entire
>> deck. Yeah, I mean I did at least
Ultimate Baseball Kid got to have 2600
points at one point, which was pretty
sick. But
>> what So what did you get? Okay, you got
noblemen that I didn't. You got Jar of
Greed that I didn't.
>> Jar greed is nice. Yeah. And so was the
nobleman. Like thinking back in time to
like when these came out, that was a
meta card. The reprint was great.
>> Level 11 area B. That was cool. Yeah.
>> See, I had two.
>> I like that my guy that I banished to
summon has,00 attack points. That's
great. I love that.
>> What does Infern do?
>> Uh,
>> it burns. If it if if I had destroyed
you actually and you had not had gravity
bind, it would have done 100,500 burn.
Yeah. Dark room of nightmare 300. Then
it would have powered my Yeah. my
baseball kit would have powered up. It
could have attacked over uh one of your
guys, Levia or Raging Flame Sprite, and
I actually would have been in a pretty
good spot at that point. But grab, you
know,
>> Yeah, that doesn't sound terrible.
>> Yeah. So, well, that's why it's 1100 cuz
it inflicts so much.
>> Well, you don't want it to be too good.
>> I'd rather it be 1,800 and do 500, I
think.
>> So, all you can actually kill something.
You just get molten destruction up on
the field and you get your little
chimera on the field. So all my monsters
are too small,
>> right? So I I get UFO turtle up that
floats into little chimera. I have
banished uh to summon Inferno and I have
Baseball Kid on the field. Then Baseball
Kid's up to, you know, a thousand plus
the other two monsters. So he's 3,000
plus Chimera. So then he's 3,500. Then
Inferno is attacking people with 1600
attack to burn them for 1500. Yeah,
that's an easy setup, right? No problem.
That should easily happen.
>> Makes
>> sense. Did you know
>> You know the problem is I'm just
noticing.
>> I'm listening.
>> I didn't I didn't I didn't look at your
deck, so I didn't know you had
torrential. I was expecting you'd have
nothing when I did walked in that.
>> No, I have no trap cards. I have Call
the Haunted.
>> Okay. Backfire, buddy.
>> No, I Okay, I have no battle trap cards.
So like you just you have more attack
points and I have no way to stop them
except level area B.
>> Listen, backfire can activate during the
battle phase. So
>> actually true. Yeah, good point.
>> Completely even.
>> Yeah, good point. I'm just wondering why
>> with no attack points.
>> I guess the whole they're like, "Yo, you
want your monsters to be destroyed for
Backfire and it I mean at some point you
want to keep your guys on the field for
Ultimate Baseball Kid, but apparently
not.
And there's nothing like salvage for you
to like re
>> Right. Yeah. You don't get monsters
back. So like when they're in the
graveyard, they're just like, "All
right, cool." You know?
>> Yeah. They put salvage in mine, they're
like, "I guess we'll just give them
necklace to command."
>> Yeah, that should work. Like Yeah. You
just equip it. You get to maybe draw a
card, you know? Or discard.
>> You have to play a card, equip it, hope
it gets killed by battle to get your one
card back that you just played. That's
so stupid.
>> Yeah. The fire deck doesn't know what it
wants to do. You have like some you have
like some pretty good synergy with like
burn stuff, but then they're like molten
zombie
>> if you if you special card.
>> Yeah, but I have primat and call the
haunted. That'll definitely happen. And
like why would you ever want to bring
that one back other than
>> you want to you want to power up
baseball kid, but then you also want to
be burning guys. So, and then some
things want to come back from the
graveyard, but then inferno wants to
banish from the graveyard. So, I'm like,
and then you want to attack directly
with the flame sprite. I'M LIKE, WHAT AM
I SUPPOSED TO BE DOING HERE?
>> SALVAGE. SEE, salvage in mine is like it
makes sense with my discard cards. You
would almost think that I I should have
tribute to the doomed and you should
take something like creature swap,
>> right? Like you'd expect that.
>> Yeah, you discard it and then get it
back at the same time because you get
two.
>> So, it actually makes sense to use that
card because it's a one card, you get
two back. And like stuff like Zing Xen
Who, it couples really well with like
Mobius because you pin them down so it
makes their back row not chainable. Same
with Levia Dragon, Datalus. I think when
they designed these decks, they didn't
consider like a room of kids where half
of them chose fire and half of them
chose water because the fire kids just
go home crying.
>> Yeah, I picked the wrong deck, bro.
>> Yeah. So, I think
>> I've always loved Zing X and who that
card's so good. Espec cuz like when they
set their their cards and then you can
always just uh you know pin your own
card if you have to and and if it's
chainable like a lot of your cards are
then you just flip that up or you just I
don't need this card right now. I can
just win now cuz I pinned down the last
card or whatever.
>> Yeah, water unfortunately was better. I
was kind I was kind of hoping they'd
even out. It's we're seeing like a
similar theme here where like the water
deck is obviously better than the fire
deck. The zombie deck is obviously
better than the dragon deck. I I don't
know if it ever happens, but it'd be
cool if we had one. is warriors and
spellcasters as one that comes in the
future.
>> The warrior deck so good though.
>> Warrior even those out. Yeah,
>> I don't know if spellcasters gonna be
able to keep up with that, but
>> I think I remember warriors better too.
>> Yeah, warrior I mean just warriors so
good in general. So
>> yeah.
>> Uh we'll see. But uh it's always fun to
see side by side when you actually duel
with these like how different or similar
they can be. But well this was the 30th
episode. So that was cool. You know,
