Do you remember the good old days of Yu-Gi-Oh? Back when you'd bust out your favorite stack of cards at the playground to have legendary duels without a care for a ban list? Back before cards had an entire encyclopedia of text on them? Well, we do. So much so that we're going back to that time right now. In this series, myself and Quick Panic will be traveling back to the year 2002. We will each start with a starter deck available during that time. Each episode, we will spin two wheels, the event wheel and the punishment wheel. These two wheels will simulate our lives as kids in the early 2000s, and in doing so, will change our decks in different ways. Excited to relive the early days of Yu-Gi-Oh. So, huge shout out to everyone who's been watching for this long. It's been a great fun series for me to record. And I know Kyle's had fun as well, even though he likes to complain about snatch deal. Well, uh, they did have one specific card that I was looking for. I figured Kyle could use a signed copy courtesy of myself. So, I'm going to be sending him this. Let me sign it real quick. It's an original Magic Ruler card. So, you probably shouldn't sign these kinds of cards, but I think with the meaning it has for Kyle, how much he loves it, I think he's really going to appreciate this right here. Welcome back to Childhood Yu-Gi-Oh. Today's episode is brought to you by the letter W because I'm winning so much right now. Today, we delve into a brand new set, Flaming Eternity. If you will remember last episode, I actually had a really cool relative bring me a couple packs. So, I had a little little sneak peek and pulled a really cool copy of a spell card that I think is going to be pretty influential in replacing like Ryeki and Dark Cold. There's also some trap cards that help with battle phase shenanigans and some really cool monsters with some powerful effects like rescue cat. But before we get into those really cool cards and that really cool set, we've got to spin my favorite wheel of all time. And actually, we have added some new slices to both wheels that we've been using regularly. So, we're listen, we're watching in the comment section. We saw you. It is March of 2005 and Flamingy Eternity is releasing today. So, I'm going to spin the wheel and see what our punishment is. I have added a couple of new ones. So, we'll see if we see something. We're not going to be repeating punishments. Uh oh, we're getting a new one. Okay. So, how this works, cuz this is the punishment wheel. Our opponent Kyle gets to declare one of my cards and I have to remove it from my deck. So, snatch steel is not going to be used today. So, funny enough, I just gave him the snatch deal. He's about to steal it from me. Uh, it's kind of weird. Stealing my Snatch Steel. Kind of crazy. So, do I even put it in my deck is the question. I might just leave it out, you know. Maybe I'll big brain him and just leave out the snatch deal so he can't uh, you know, steal anything from me. So, I don't know. Maybe I'll try that. Maybe I'll build with one extra. I'll keep the snatch deal and if he doesn't call it, but if he does call it, I'll, you know, I have to replace it. So, I'll have a plan of what is what is going to go in. So, I'll have a backup plan. Probably not snatch dealing today, but that's okay. I think he cares more about snatch deal than I do. That's why I'm sending him this awesome uh this awesome card, cuz I know he's going to feel good about it. I don't remember what all we agreed to add, but Rxen and I were were texting each other the other day and we're like, "Let's add some stuff." So, there's stuff added. Who knows what, though. Let's spin the wheel. If we get a duplicate, we'll respin. I you know, you know how it goes. Today, [laughter] cool. Um, this doesn't apply because this is not a playground episode. So, uh Oops. Sorry. Rux's going to have to remake the wheel. This is That's on me. I'm not supposed I I didn't mean to. Okay. Anyway, um, [screaming] okay, that was almost monster fan. Uh, you trade one of your ultra rare secret cards for fake god cards. I think this this means we have all of the god cards now. I think this gives me raw. Um, I'll let you guys know what what I lost. Oh, and also last episode because I only got to use like one of every card, I added zaborg to my collection. So, I have two zaborgs now. Uh, I think I forgot to add that into the deck profile, but anyway. Okay. Next up, we have the event wheel. So, we've added one new event here as well. There's a trade up option. So, that'd be really cool. Look it. Dude, I no, as I Okay, let's get back to what I was saying before. I was rudely interrupted by the first wheel. We will not be repeating uh W wheel spins because I get my older brother quits Yu-Gi-Oh every single week. I mean, I I might have 12 older brothers or my older brother is just very finicky. I just go back and forth. So, because I've had that like seven episodes in a row, we are respinning until we get something else. Uh because a lot of comments were requesting that like, hey, don't my older brother. I must have 20 older brothers. That's the only explanation here. That's the only explanation for what's going on with this wheel. Let's see what what will happen next. Come on. All right. We're not going to get it this time. Good. Okay. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh. Oh, who's it going to be? Friend, I think is a common or something, isn't it? Or a rare. Oh, super rare. Oh, I just got my mirror force and now I get this. Uh, let's go see what kind of cool things can happen to us. We've got the big time happy wheel. H, can we call it the happy wheel? I'm going to call it the happy wheel. Let's see what happens with the happy wheel. We um, we have a new a new spin for me. There are new ones on here. Okay, I know Roxson got this. I must have 20 older brother. >> Older brother quits you. Obtain one secret rare card for free. Must be at least two sets older than the newest set. Okay. I'll look at what my options are and I'll let you know what my selection is. But let's look at Flaming Eternity. >> Okay. No, we got ultra rare last time. Oh yeah, Mirror Force is an ultra rare, not a super rare. I was thinking master duel SR. Yeah. Okay. Yeah, I'm dumb. So, technically, we didn't get our brother quits Yu-Gi-Oh last time, so we could do that. But honestly, I'm thinking about removing that one because the secrets are, you know, there's not any secrets anymore. It's all ultimate rares. Uh, and we've had that a lot. So, I think this is fine to go with the friend quits Yu-Gi-Oh. Uh, let me know how we should should we remove the brother now or the brother because one, we've spun him like 12 times and two, the secret rares are no longer being made. It's all ultimate rares and stuff like that. So maybe we'll change it to an ultimate rare, which would be really good actually because then you could pick almost any card from these big these recent sets. So I think that actually might be the thing we do is change older brother from secret to ultimate rare. And there's so many ultimate rare prints in there it would make. There would just be a lot of options and the secret rares weren't as good as they should have been. But yeah, Fred Quitsukio. So let's figure that out. What are we going to get super a lot of rambling today. So not Flaming Eternity, not Rise of Destiny, not Dark Beginning. So I got to go before that. I got to go solo duelist or earlier for my super rare. Now, we've already gotten two Mobius. I don't know that we need three of those. Ancient Sanctuary, we have Zaborg. We already have one. Super rares and invasion of chaos. Not thinking of anything too crazy. Dark Crisis, DD Warrior Lady. A second one of those could be really good. That would be really solid. Okay, I pulled up every set except Legend of Blue Eyes, which would be Darkhole or Reyaki. probably trap hole, but you know, we already have a regaki, darkhole, and they're banned, so it's only playground usable, so maybe not. Here are all the super rares. So, Horus, if we wanted to get the level six, we could do that and play the Horus stuff. I really don't think that's the best choice, but it is an option. Mobius, we have two of. I don't think we're going to do Soul of Duelist. Ancient Sanctuary, Zabor, we have one of. I think that's good enough. I don't think we want anything there. Invasion of Chaos, super rares. We have a freed. Could get a second one. I don't know how good that is. Uh I don't think we're getting invasion of chaos. Dark crisis. Diddy warrior lady number two. It's at one for quite a while. So it would be good for playground, but we already have one, so I'm considering that. Uh magicians for spell shield type eight's a nice card. Uh some of these skill darks are good. Tribe is good, but it's at one for a while. [music] Uh Feronic Guardian Book of Life would be pretty awesome. That's one we don't have. And I love zombies. Unfortunately, we had to give Kyle the zombie deck last time, so we didn't get a free book of life. So, would be cool to get one of those. I think that could be a great choice. Uh, Necro Valley is pretty annoying, but I'm not really trying to pick Floodgates, you know, just for the fun of the series. Uh, then in Legacy of Darkness, a second ROA could be really good, but I do imagine we're going to get more ROA in like structure decks at some point. So, here we go. Dark Beginning 2. We have a chance at ROA. It's a rare, and that's this year, 2005. Structure Deck Warriors Triumph. Later in the year, we're going to get one as a common, so it is a little bit easier to get, I should say. Book of Life, uh, TP5 as a rare. We do have a couple more chances of TP5, so that would be super sick. Structured egg zombie madness. We missed Dark Beginning 2. It's an SR. That'd be pretty cool. The uh, Zombie World structure deck comes out uh, 2008. So, this is, you know, because we missed that one, it's just starting getting to an SR. So, this is looking like a strong choice. Uh, Lymer, the nightmare. We could get Jared, another Kaiiku. Get two of those. That'd be pretty good against his chaos stuff. We have a bazook pharaoh servant. Uh, dust tornado is really strong. We could go for a I think we have two noblemen already, don't we? Or at least one. So, we could go for a second one of that. I think Dust Tornado would be one of the better choices. Uh, Ferro Servant. We're done with that. Spell Ruler. I don't need any of these. Giant Trinade's a good card, but I don't think we're doing that. Metal Raiders. These are yeah, pretty much unplayable except heavy storm. We already have one of those. So, honestly, I think it's looking like Book of Life. I wanted a second Roto, but I think Book of Life is more is a little bit more tough to get. And also, you could always use three Book of Life. Like, oh, I already have Wait, I have two. Why did I not remember that? I could get a third one, though. Interesting. So, I already have two. I don't remember that at all. But grabbing a third one could be pretty sick for the zombie deck. And yeah, I think I'm going to do it. I think I'm going to do it just because it's a little bit probably not getting the SR out of Dark Beginning, but maybe we will. Or do I grab the It's really tempting to grab a second Roa. Having two of those would be pretty strong for the warrior package. And having two Book of Life already, and we might get another I think I'm actually going to do the second Roa. I know it's we're probably going to get another one, but having two Roa like from now on is pretty awesome. Flaming eternity is a pretty cool set. There are some brand new cards like Insect Knight. Um, actually Insect Knight is a card that we use way later on. I think in like 5D's era. Uh, but we do see Sacred Phoenix of Nephus, which is a really cool card. Um, if it's destroyed by a card effect, you can special summon it from the graveyard uh, during the next standby phase and just heavy storm. That's crazy in a format with very little spell trap removal. Uh, it's only 2400 and you know it's a level eight so that's a little bit hard to get out. But we have hand of Nephus which is really I think it really changes things up in terms of boss monster strategies uh because you can tribute it and another monster and special summon a sacred phoenix of nephys from your hand or deck. This is pretty big because a lot of these effects historically, like with level up strategies and other boss monsters, they had to be special summoned from the deck only or from the hand only. And giving you that nice little bit of versatility means that you don't have to max out on copies of Sacred Phoenix of Nephus because if you draw it, that's fine. You can special summon it, normal summon it. Uh if you don't draw it, that's fine. You pull from the deck with Hand of Nephis. Um and I really like these cards. I had a a really good friend [music] as a kid who played this strategy for a very long time. Uh, notably it's a spellcaster and can be special summoned out by apprentice magician, which was something he did pretty frequently. That's pretty cool. We see more level monsters. I don't think any of them are super influential. Um, but silent swordsman is a cool card that Yui uses. Grandmar, the rock monarch is the worst monarch. We finally got a bad one after having like Zaborg and having Mobius. And we we see Grand Mark and this guy is almost unusable. If we come on down, we see a bunch of new beast monsters. So, there's a good amount of beast support here, but the one that matters the most here is going to be a little bit farther down. I'm skipping so many things. Rescue cat. Rescue cat can special summon two level three or lower beast monsters from the deck. That is huge. It it this becomes really big in strategies later on, like in um synchro formats where we have the ability to summon out like Xaber Arabellum and we can synchro. But there's still some really cool strategies you can use with this. It's earth type. It's beast. It has a lot of friends that it can play with. We have the addition of blade rabbit, which notably it can be summoned by rescue cat. Uh but this guy is like a dream clown situation. I remember people using blade rabbit instead for some reason, and I don't remember why, but he's here. Um we have Chiron the mage, which is actually a fringe utilized card in formats like goat format because it is an 1800 earth, which is pretty cool already. Uh, but you can discard a spell and pop a spell or trap card on the opponent's side of the field. That's pretty huge, especially in a format where Mystical Space Typhoon and Heavy Storm are at one as well as Breaker. Ben Kai has an OTK and um it would be very funny if Roxson tried to play this. I'm not I don't want to play that. We have a couple more uh flip effect monsters like Golem Sentry that lets you flip it back face down after its effects been utilized and it lets you bounce a monster back to the hand. That's a pretty powerful effect and it has 1,800 defense. We have hex sealed fusions. Um, notably these got a little bit of use in some middle power formats. I remember people using this in like disaster dragon to summon out uh King Draon, which I think comes out in this set. It does. We have Gatling Dragon and King Draon. King Draon is really interesting. I don't have any Lord of D, I don't think. Um, but Divine Dragon Ragnarok comes out in this set. If you had divine dragon Ragnarok and you had the dark sealed, hex fusion, hex sealed, dark fusion, you just saw the name, you know what it is. Uh, you could special summon out King Dragoon and just forgo polymerization. It's something. It's something. Feather the Phoenix comes out. We won't care about this till Diamond Dude Turbo, which I don't think we'll have the cards to play. Lightning Vortex comes in to save us from the very low amount of monster removal, especially like widespread monster removal that destroys more than one monster. Uh, Lightning Vortex is huge and I pulled one last episode. Finishing things off here at the bottom of the list, we have Threatening Roar. Uh, you just your your opponent doesn't get to attack that turn. It's better than Wabaku in some instances. And we have Phoenix Wingwind Blast. This card is a tempo changer. If you have a strategy that allows you to play a bunch of cards that allow you to pull more cards to your hand, you can discard those cards to fuel your own strategy, uh, but also set your opponent behind a turn. Using Phoenix Wingman Blast on like a boss monster or like a spell or trap that can't be played in response to it, like Sakuratu armor is pretty huge. I think this card will see a good amount of play in this format. So, let's get into the pack opener. Okay, so the good part about my opponent being tired of me using all these cards is I only lose one card. I mean, I don't have to use six vanillaas, you know? [laughter] It's actually kind of nice. I'm like, cool. I I'll trade snatch you don't have to use uh six vanillaas. Let's open our Flaming Eternity packs. We're doing pretty good so far in this episode. Uh I I like where where it's going. So, Blast Magician. I Flaming Eternity, I think, does have a couple good ones like Phoenix Wing Wind Blast is pretty cool. [music] Uh the Centuries. Oh gosh, I hope we don't have to play against the freaking flip deck. Uh, let's see what else. Uh, Meteor Destruction, Pin Kai, the OTK. Threatening War is good. That's a nice pickup. Deck Devastation Virus. Whoa, that's an Edison staple right there. That's scary. Not Not staple because it's only used in some decks, but when it's used, it can be used with Zombyra, by the way. So, maybe we try to pull off Deck Devastation with Zombra. Threatening roar. That's cool. [music] Uh, Swords of Concealing Lights. Good. Rescue cat. It is a rotted because we're using master duel so it's definitely worse. Concealing lights pretty decent. Pole position ultimate insect level five. Uh gaku panda whirlwind prodigy. Grandmar. I don't know why this one came out after. It's so much worse. Uh another rescue cat was up there. Another swords of concealing light as a rare. Rescue cat. I think we have three of those. Okay. Ben Kai. Chiron the mage I've always loved. I don't think it's that great, but it is it is a fun card if you're using the beast warrior or whatever. Another Chiron the mage. Okay, I'm just complimenting him. Get two of them. Behemoth. Have we gotten any high rate? We gotten one. Oh, wow. A lot of supers. Oh, that was an ultimate. Blast Magician ultimate is a fire looking card. Three threatening roar, I think. There we go. Phoenix Wingman Blast. That's fantastic. That's one of the cards we want to see. Uh Big Tusk Mammoth, Space Mambo. Yeah, a lot a lot of crappy cards in this set. Another grandmark. I've got a monarch deck, that's for sure. I've had one, but I have even more now. A third Chiron the Mage. They love to give you the same rares over and over. Great big Tus or Great. Yeah, Big Tus Mammoth. Isn't Great Tus Mammoth also think last pack. Three grand mark. Three grand mark. I would have preferred that, but that's okay. Uh, honestly, a pretty good opening. We can't really complain about that. We did get two ultis, including Meteor of Destruction. Also, a pretty cool looking ulti. Now, let's build my deck. I have pretty big flexibility. Only one of my cards is going to get ripped out of my grip. Um, and I'm going to have to replace it. But I I can imagine what that's going to be. Oh, I just noticed second Phoenix Wing Wind Blast. Wait, this is crazy cuz I got a rare and a super unlike the old school packs, which it's not possible to do. But that's okay with me cuz we're using the simulator. So, incredible stuff. Honestly, looking like a pretty awesome episode. Maybe we can actually win one this week and break Kyle's streak. It would be really nice. All right, 24 packs of Flaming Eternity. I did win the last episode and we haven't been doing the anties for our our wins on the playground just because it feels like I don't know. It's pretty difficult to like make a deal. Like I'll put this up if you put this up. So if you have a recommendation for what we should do for wins on the playground, I would love to hear it. Something that we can remember and something that's like a little bit more easily enforced. Uh, and also for those deck versus deck strategies. I was thinking that maybe if when somebody wins a deck versus deck game, they could like choose one card from the other deck to like have a copy for their collection. I don't know. Let me know what you think. I think there should be a reward. I just don't know what it is yet. All right, first pack of Flaming Eternity. I would like to see, you know, Phoenix Wingman Blast and Mass. I'd like to see two of those. That'd be great. I want to try Sacred Phoenix Neph this. I already have one Lightning Vortex, but having another would not hurt. Let's see what we get. Forced ceasefire is fine. I got the light hex sealed fusion uh and ben kai if I decide I want to go in so mode. Pack number two, swords of concealing light. This has a little bit of play uh with things like nobleman across out. I don't think I'll play this, but it is super interesting. Gatling Dragon. This is a really good card. I think we can actually Yeah, this is a level eight I can get out with Metamorphosis, and you can toss a coin three times and destroy as many monsters as possible. um up to the number of heads that you flip, which is really cool. We also got Dark Hex Sealed Fusion. Uh if I want to try and play the King Dragoon strategy, Chiron the Mage, that's a good one. I'm glad to pick up one of those. And a copy of Threatening Roar is huge. Good Goblin Housekeeping saw some play in like some Exodia strategies cuz drawing cards becomes rare later on in the format. I don't think it'll get any play. Shadow Slayer and another copy of Threatening Roar. Another Gatling Dragon ultimate rare. I I'm gonna look at this and say PSA 10. Easily PSA 10. [laughter] Spell Absorption. Um, nothing really to talk about here. Another Ben Kai. Ultimate Insect. Um, another Golem sentry. I did get a hand of Nefus, so if I can pull a Nephus, that would be that would make me very happy. Deck Devastation Virus. I actually skipped over this. And Rescue Cat. deck. Devastation virus really didn't see its heyday until we had like dark world prevalent for a while. Um, but this is a pretty good card. So, this is something that we got to keep in mind that we have in the deck. Phoenix Wingwin Blast and another rescue cat. Love to see it. Spiral spear strike. This is also another incredible ultimate rare. I know this has nothing to do with strategy, but I pulled this and like the the ultimate rare foiling follows this little spiral from Guy Gaia. I need one of these for my collection. That card is beautiful. Halfway point. Cross counter a blade rabbit. Another hand of Nephus. Lightning vortex. We have two now. That's pretty huge. I don't know if we'd ever play more than one, but it's an option. Ultimate rare. Lightning vortex. Okay, so I have three Lightning Vortex. I'm going to I'm going to say it again. This one also has a gorgeous ultimate rare. Like the way it outlines the lightning. Oh, it's so good. I need one I need one of those for my collection, too. Okay, pack number 15. Another copy of Swords of Concealing Light. Can we see one Sacred Phoenix and FS, please? Why not? A fourth Lightning Vortex. Uh, penalty game. Um, that's a new rare, but nothing good. Blast Magician. This guy wishes he was Breaker. It's like he collects spell counters. Yeah. Yeah. And then you can destroy a monster and it's attack has to be like 700 times whatever number of counters. I don't know. It's not good. Pack number 19. Um I'm losing hope for my sacred phoenix. I'd like one more Phoenix Women Blast. Shadow Slayer and a third hand of Nethus. King Draon ultimate rare. This ultimate rare is fine. This is I mean this is a cool card to get. I think this card is very interesting. Number 22, we get Silent Swordsman. The wrong ultra rare. Darn. Second to last pack. Penalty game. Not what we're looking for. The ultimate pack is Phoenix Wingwin Blast and a Sacred Phoenix nephice and cross counter. [laughter] All right, so I pulled three ulties and two ultra rares. That would be a crazy real life box. Um, two copies of Lightning Vortex. So I have I have four copies of Lightning Vortex. So, we can play as many as we want. Um, I got one wing blast, which I'm going to slot into the deck. And I don't Oh, we only got one Earth, but everything else we got at least three of. Okay. Um, let's see what I get ripped off for and what kind of deck I'm going to play today. All right. Here is the deck. And I'm really excited to play this. We finally get to play nearly full power zombie for the first time. And you guys know I really like the zombie deck. So does Kyle. So, we're just both big zombie fans. He's always played the zombie deck since back in the day, and I couldn't pass up a chance now that we're only going to be losing one one to three cards. I guess if he calls a card that has the three of, uh, then we'll have to remove three. But, I'm pretty happy to be able to be able to play a lot of this. So, this is going to be a super fun deck because not only does it have the zombies, but it has my warrior package in here that we added the second Roa for. I think it's going to be a pretty strong one. We have Magician of Faith, Mystic Swords. Well, let's just go through. Magistr faith is a generic one as a light, but it's going to get back a lot of our strong spells which we are using for zombies like book of life, creature swap, etc. We have an ejection fairy lily in here. Can be floated in off of our rats, which also float into the pyramid turtle. Spirit reapers can be floated off of pyramid turtles. We've got zomb, which can be searched by uh reinforcement in the army. It's also a target for deck devastation virus, a new card that just came out. It's over 2,000. It's a dark. We also have our vampire lords and our rayukis if we want to deckdev my opponent, which is Kyle. So that would be pretty awesome to pull off. Get to see the hand. He's got three turns. He's got to discard everything above 1500. It's pretty annoying. Kaiiku in here to deal with, you know, chaos stuff. Exiled force uh was in the warrior package. Can pop anything. I put a blade knight in here. It's a little bit weird, but if we don't have more than one card in our hand, we activate roto. We get that. We have a 2,000 attacker. We can negate flips, which would be pretty awesome. I also have the mystic swordsman level two in here uh to if they they can never flip up if this attacks. It just removes it completely. So, I love that uh warrior toolbox effect uh or being able to toolbox everything with the roas. So, then we have the tribe infecting virus just too good. DD war lady also part of the warrior package. Same thing with Sasuke. Uh the big zombie guys. So, really this is like half zombie half warrior. So, I think it'll be pretty cool. Uh pot of greed, heavy storm, the two noblemans deal with sets were really anti- set in this. We'll see if he sets a lot of cards, but usually when you're playing chaos, you're playing Magician of Faith, Old Vindictive, etc. Uh we can swap over and grab some of those a creature swap. We can give him Pyramid Turtle. We can give him Giant Rat. We got the Book of Lives. I have two of those. I just realized. I I guess I knew that at some point in the series, but I totally forgot. Snatch Deal is going to get removed, I assume. And we're going to have 41 Primats. Uh my height might try to big brain us and pick something else, but we'll see. M uh Mystical Space Typhoon, Mirror Force, the One Dust Tornado, Ring, Torrential to the Trap, Dust Shoots to try to see his hand, know what's going on. Sakuratu armor, and Call of the Haunted. So, I think this is going to be a pretty awesome deck. I'm excited to play it. It should be a fun episode. All right, before we get into the deck profile, um I've decided, you know, these these punishments are a little bit weird because you got to you got to determine what you lost. Um I'm going to I'm going to take Imperial Order out of my collection. It's a card that I don't think is super fun and I think it's a good card. So, I don't have Imperial Order anymore. And I got myself a copy of Wing Dragon of Raw. Additionally, I've got to find a a secret rare to add to my collection uh for my my win. My uh my my brother, I think somebody quit. Who Who quit? Older brother. My older brother quit. So, I'm grabbing a copy of Lava Golem. I think this will be the most uh beneficial card that I can add to the collection right now that I don't have. On to the deck profile. All right, deck profile time. Uh I'm doing something a little bit different. I know Rxen expects me to just play BLS for the rest of my life, but I I got my first ever regional win using zombies and I have been addicted ever since. And we just got a whole bunch of new cards that help out the zombie strategy in the last episode. So, I'm going to keep playing the zombie strategy. Uh, notably, we got access to three copies of Card of Safe Return, which is a huge card in a format where there is like no draw power. Um, notably, this is at three. It's not limited yet. And so, uh, I'm going to talk about the strategy here. We are running three Master Konhi, which is like a four-star 1750. It can be special summoned by Pyramid Turtle and by Soul Resurrection. We don't have access to Call of the Haunted. Um, but we can get into Master Konchi pretty easily through drawing it or special summing it out with Pyramid Turtle or discarding it with one of our card effects. Or I'm going to play Painful Choice. It's been in the collection for a long time and I think this is a perfect time to add it. So anyway, um we can use Soul Resurrection and when you couple that with Master Konchi, it allows you to special summon him back from the graveyard, but also it triggers card of safe return. So we get to draw bring a guy back. It's pretty interesting. It brings him back in defense mode, but if we use it at the end phase, we can just swap him later. Um we're playing two giant rat to help us get to our pyramid turtles. Uh it also lets us special summon Exiled Force. Um, I'm playing Breaker cuz he's my favorite card in the world. And then I'm running two regenerating mummy, which don't have effects that are really going to pop off unless we get Spirit Reaper, I guess. Um, but I think this card is like an 1800. It can be special summoned off of Pyramid Turtle. And it's just a good like attack point guy. Uh, we're running one copy of Vampire Lord and two copies of Ryuki, which we can use off of Pyramid Turtle, or we can tribute for them with Snatch Steel or Change of Heart, which are both in my collection now. Very cool. Um, we're running good spells. I'm adding one of those copies of Trunade because I don't want to run Heavy Storm with all of the continuous spells and traps in the deck. Um, I now have a second copy of Nobleman Across Out, which should help us against monsters that are put face down for battle destruction or, you know, like a DD Warrior Lady, something to that effect. Uh, and that couples really well with the two copies of Book of Moon that we now have. Uh, I think Dark Beginnings buffed out a lot of this, or something did because now I have two copies of Book of Moon. I don't know. >> [laughter] >> Uh we're running two creature swap to work with our pyramid turtles and our giant rats. Lightning vortex is newly added to the deck because of uh flaming eternity and this helps us discard maybe zombie monsters we can't get out of our hand. And then you know we can use book of life or we can use uh soul resurrection if we discard a master konchi to special summon something back and then trigger card of safe return which is really cool. Um and then the rest is just like pretty decently good stuff. if I do have a new copy of Phoenix Wingman Blast in the deck. Also, I only pulled one and then I'm using my two copies of Skill Drain here because I don't really care about the effects of any of these monsters on the field except for Breaker. And uh I think that's pretty huge. Rxen has access to a whole bunch of Monarch monsters. Um I know he's been playing Kaiku because he thinks that BLS is going to end his life. So uh I think it's going to be pretty cool to have uh Skill Drain and then just like an infinite parade of bodies. So, I'm excited to see what this deck can do. And uh I don't know.
