Dueling In Duelist Kingdom Gets INSANE In Master Duel | Duelist Kingdom Conquest EP5

In this series, I am entering Yu-Gi-Oh anime's Duelist Kingdom arc and will be attempting to make my way to the Duelist Kingdom finals. I start with 20 star chips and must obtain 80 more by defeating other duelists competing in the Duelist Kingdom tournament. Each episode, I will take on a fellow YouTuber in a duel using cards from the Duelist Kingdom Arena Draft with a twist. Before each game and after seeing their opening hand, the turn player must select a number of star chips to wager on the duel. The winner of that duel steals that number of star chips from their opponent. Once one duelist is left with zero or the 1-hour time limit ends, the match is over. If I'm able to reduce my opponent to zero star chips, I can steal a card from their deck to use in the next episodes. But if my star chips are reduced to zero, I have to completely restart the challenge. Once I have 100 star chips in the series, I can move on to the Duelist Kingdom finals. Welcome to Duelist Kingdom Conquest. Hello everyone. Welcome back to Duelist Kingdom Conquest episode 5, life number three. I have not won a single episode of this series yet. I've won some duels here and there. They're always the duels that don't matter most. Last time I clawed my way back from being at one, was it one star chip or something? Uh, I clawed my way all the way back to having 17 star chips and my opponent just needing one. Spoiler alert, go watch the the video. Some crazy stuff happened and I lost all 17 because of the double whammy punishments going on. They were compounding on each other. We were risking all our starships. It was a nightmare. So, what that means once again is I have to respin the boss monster wheel. I have to reddraft. I have to redo everything. And our deck last time had some pretty awesome cards in it. So, I'm probably not going to get that good of a draft again, which is very worrisome. So, let's start. I mean, I can definitely play better. I played pretty poorly in every episode. So, that is where we can make back the fact that we have a worse deck. Harvey Lady Sisters. Okay. And as you guys saw in episode 3, I know everybody was upset with me for not using gate guardians pieces. So what that means, we changed the rules. I have to use everything. I have to use harpy lady's sisters. I have to use elegant egotist. So that means I need at least one harpy lady. But uh cuz it doesn't technically mention it, but it needs elegant egotist, which needs harpy lady. So therefore, we get to use all of that. And I'll probably just rock three harpy lady or something. Okay. Harpy lady is one result. Then harpy's pet dragon. Harvey Lady Sisters, Harby's Feather Duster. We do not get Feather Duster. That I think that would be as cool as that would be, it's not required to summon the boss monsters. So basically, we can use three Harvey Lady, Harvey Lady Sisters, and three Elegant Ecotist, three Harvey Lady Sisters, whatever we want. We could honestly use nine cards of our deck. So if our deck's really bad, we might remove a lot of those and just run three of everything. But we'll have to see how we draft. Well, well, well. Another Rxen series. When I see Ruxen playing Yu-Gi-Oh on YouTube.comruxen34, I do one thing and one thing only. DM him to beg to be on the show. And that's just what I did today. So, before we do anything else, it's time to spin the boss wheel. Oh, please give me pumpkin. I can really work with pumpkin. Okay, instead they gave me Serpent Night Dragon. I can maybe work with SMG. Okay, let's start our draft. We are starting it off strong. So, I've seen a I mean, now that I've lost four episodes, I've seen a lot of different decks, right? So, I've seen a lot of the different cards. I've kind of figured out what some of the most powerful cards are, so let's keep an eye out for those. All effects of defense monster negated. That's weird. Uh, does that count as flips as well? I guess that's not too bad, but if they flip face up on their turn, it's not great. But not a horrible card cuz there are a lot of flip effects. Um, I don't know how that works with like blastphere because it goes to the, you know, spell and trap. So, I feel like it wouldn't work. It would work on maneater bug. It would work on morphing jar, assuming we attacked. It doesn't seem that good to be honest. And a 1500 is pretty strong. So, I'm going to grab that. Uh, blacklister soldier can be spun on the wheel, so I don't know that I need to grab that. But, if I spin it, I get both. So, it's actually better to not pick that. Uh, this has 1300 1350 attack. It does. It is dark so it does work with dragon nails. So if we get those we can have a target shadow spell ruyoku. I think stopping the attacks is the best in this. Is there anything that stops Harpy's feather duster? Cuz Harpy's Feather Duster is so good in this and it doesn't seem like there's any real way to negate it. Okay, Shadow Spell, Flying Elephant, Exodia. This is an easy choice. Unfortunately, this is my favorite card, you know, back there. Um, it is the ugly artwork. I still kind of like it, but compared to the OG like this one, it's not as good. Uh, it has to be Flying Elephant. This card has proven to be really, really good. Just 1850 attack. And if you don't read like me, you might try to pop it with a mirror bug and just be really stupid. Okay, Harpy Lady. We already have a guaranteed three of those. We don't need to pick that. Killer Needles 1,200 2k defense is what we grab. This has proven to be one of the best cards in the format. I have all this info, so hopefully this helps me not be terrible. Dragon Nails. I've already got one target for it. Uh, I do have one dart, so let's grab that. Sand Gan is incredible. Plus, it's a dragon nails target, so we grab that. Uh, these don't really matter too much. I usually get all of them, so I'm just going to grab some variety. Axra, horn of the unicorn. Horn of the unicorn's good, but it does blank your draw. Axraers being 1,700 is just really nice. So, let's grab that. Oh, another couple darts. Cannon soldier is not in Master Duel, so we can't pick that. Summon Skulls, an incredible dart, but which searches, and then you combo with Dragon Nails. It's pretty awesome. So, let's grab that. I would like to get another summon skull though if we can. We're up to three darks which is very solid. A lot of things use on dragon nails. Horn of the unicorn again. I might actually take it this time. How many spellcasters? We have two spellcasters. We have uh what do we have besides witch of the black forest? Mystical elf. So we could use the eye of illusion card. [snorts] This is a quick play and doesn't let you steal a monster in your opponent's turn. Cannot be destroyed by battle this turn. Can change the attack target. Uh, yeah, that's not bad. But horn of the unicorn just boosting 700 is pretty powerful. I'm going to grab this. I'm going to grab this. I might regret that, but it is a little specific needing the spellcasters. This is a dark with 1300. It is a dark, but it's only 1300. I think shadow of eyes can be really good if they're setting manerbug multiply. Unique kuribo. No, this is great except then they always have a spell and then you just give them so many life points. I'm going to grab graoku. It gets rid of a lot of monsters. Gardian. Gay guard, as much as I love you, I got to say no. This card actually is one of the main reasons that I did not win in the last episode. I think I was probably still going to lose, but this made it where my only hope was gone immediately. So, I think Horn of Heaven. I might have been okay, though, cuz if it stuck, I could have dragon nails it twice. I could have attacked over the uh the ghoul and then he would have had to brain control and I could have mirror forced because I controlled the dragon nails card. It would have destroyed my curse of dragon, kept me alive. So, it would have lasted one more turn. It would have come down to the final turn. So, it actually might have caused me to lose. Sorn of Heaven, not the worst card. I mean, negating a summon in this is crazy. If they're summoning something really big, I'd like it because Tribute to the Doomed does the same thing but slower, though. It does have the option of doing it when they're not summoned. I'm going to do Horn Heaven. Okay, now I'm thinking about I already have Ryoku. This is so good with Dragon Nails, though. And I don't have a tribute yet, do I? I have no level fives, so this goes with dragon nails. It's a one tribute, which is pretty easy to pull off, and it just gets power more and more your p your uh monsters die. I kind of like using this. Let's grab the shadow ghoul. Another dragon nails with the four darks. I feel like I got to load up on dragon nails. I did it last time and I didn't have as many darks to work with, so I kept breaking on it, but I only had three darks in the whole deck. Now I have four, so I kind of like that. Copycat is nice, but I'm going to go Dragon Nails. It's proven to be really good. Okay, let's let's just make sure we get a few of those. Another one I have in blast sphere is a dark also has a good effect. Brain control though. Oh, I have to pass on a brain. I might get another blast sphere. We already have Horn of Admin. We don't have to worry about that. I I mean, there's hardly any special summons in this. This card is crazy. I have to grab it even with the Arata. Oh, another Sangan. That's good. Mask of Darkness gets back traps which is pretty powerful in this but having two Sangan's pretty crazy. I think I'm going to grab that 2k defender was also not bad. Walsh I could play this almost with magical labyrinth. Sword Armor of Dragon is 1750 attack boost and in this is so bad. It has to be sword armor of dragon. I'll probably cut that. Okay. Tough choice. Really tough choice here. Uh morphing jar is really awesome but I had two last time and it there are times where it's not good. There's almost no timer where Harvey's feather duster is not good unless they just literally don't set back row and then you're playing without them having back row, which is awesome. So, you have knowledge of nothing. You know, you don't have to worry about set cards. So, this card's amazing. Monster Reborn I have not had yet. And obviously, it's incredible if you lose a big monster, but I think that removing all these pesky spells and traps is absolutely the best. So, we got to grab that. Oh, and oh, this is so tough. Barrel Dragon is a dark. We're obviously not picking that, but if we could pick it, it'd be pretty good. Call the haunted brings back guys from the grave. I have not had the ability to do that yet, but I've got to go with old faithful mirror force. The back row is so strong in this kunai with chain. We already have one. How many monsters do I have? 10. I want to take blast fear, but this card is literally one of the best cards in the format. Maneater bug shadow spell. We got to go with a maneater bug. This card is such good removal. Uh a third s. Yeah, we're going to take that. Uh zombie warrior. Whoa. Okay, this is sick. Another double mirror force draft. We're not paying a magical hats. Not a very good card, which is incredible. Already have one. Already have mirror force, but we're taking two of those. Mirror wall. Dude, I always want Blasphe, but there's always something that I want more, which is Mirror Wall. Battle Tricks in this is are so good. Blasphe, I hope I get you again. Chain energy. It's the only good card, but it's so annoying. H. The problem is it's not very fun. There is Harby's feather duster to remove it. It also affects me, too. So, it's not like it just affects my opponent. It's just annoying for both players. It's a pain. It will speed up the games a little bit though, which could be good. We're obviously not picking gay guardian by itself. It's a 100% brick. Uh we could do Yeah, honestly, like in the drafts, like maybe you should be able to draft it and get the extra cards as well, just so there's like you even consider it because some of these cards are like, you know, they're really bad. So, that might be a thing I do like in the future, but for now, I haven't implemented that rule yet. So, I guess we're need to chain energy sap. I thought our deck was good last time. I I think our deck's going to be really good this time. I need this cuz I haven't won an episode. I need literally the best cards. Okay, I need literally the best cards. Mirror wall. Dragon Nails are a third mirror wall. Uh, we only have we have six darks. I didn't even clock what the last ones were, I think. Is it Wait, is it counting? It's counting those. So, we only have four darks. Okay. [sighs] Three. Mirror wall is pretty crazy. Dragons is crazy, too, though. But, I mean, it is sometimes a brick. Mirror wall is never really a brick. I'm going to take it. A double maneater bug. Yes. Uh, okay. Here's a here's a rough one. Oh, you're a dark, but you're a 1450 star. Why? This equips to insect monsters. Okay, this dragon monster. How many dragons do I have? None. Okay, that counters dragons. I'll do that. Rabbit Horsemen. Magician of Faith with our incredible spells. I hardly have any monsters though. Like none. Dark Chimera. Dude, I could if I drafted the wall shadow and this I would only be one card away from being able to pull that off, which is funny. Uh these all require something. This is a dark and a tribute, but I guess Oh, finally blasphere. I think blast fear is better in copycat in my deck especially. Another witch. Oh my brain control. I don't know why I don't draft three Harvey's feather duster. I think I have to do that. Change of heart is great, but I have to draft that. Uh, Mask of Darkness is a dark also gets our traps back. We have 11 traps, by the way, so let's grab that. Another trap. a brain control. Oh my gosh. And a copycat. This is insane. The only thing is we don't have a lot of monsters, but we can use the harpy ladies. All right. Come on. Surely I can't screw this one up. Right now, it is time for Left. We're going to begin with a Maneater bug followed up with a mask of darkness followed up. Okay, so they can't all be winners. I guess I can technically summon Armored Lizard. It's a Brain Con all the way. It's a S. Oh, this card's really good, but it's a Sand Gan all the way. It's a Brain Con all the way. I'll take Saggy, I guess. Okay, first one of these that just sucks all around. I guess ancient tool is the least frustrating. Let's grab Labyrinth Tank. Grab feud. Oh, you know, we got to be grabbing Skeleagon. No, it's Empress Judge here. I love Scalangle. Big Scalangle fan. It's, you know, it's Brain Con. Big big one. Big one. Oh, Flying Elephant's a really good card. I'm going to have to do Mirror Force, though. Another stinker. Wow. I guess I'm taking Jellyfish here. Shadow Spell. Not bad. You know, it's got to [laughter] be Change of Heart. I need some tribute monsters. Uh, Mirall's fine. Uh, I think I'm taking Kaagin here just to have something to do. Let's get Rabbit Horsemen. Let's get flame swordsman. Let's get Galishia. Another horn of the unicorn. Actually, shadow ghoul is not bad since we have so many like steal your monster stuff. These are all terrible. I guess I'll take big insect. Um, magical hats, I suppose. Swords unbeatable in this format. Sand gun again. Witch negate attack. We are not doing good. We're like halfway done and we don't have a direction. I don't want any of these cards. Uh I could take I could take Doma. Block Attack is almost a removal spell. Uh Blastphere is almost a removal spell. Uh Time Machine is almost Call of the Haunted. Catapult Turtle is an FTK. Let's grab Sandan again. That's all three Sand Gans. Fine. I'll buy a Dragon's Nail. You got it. These cards are so bad. I could see Gorgon's Eye coming up. Cards are terrible. cards are really unplayably bad. Oh, well that's interesting. Grabbing another mirror force here. Grabbing a another time machine here. I kind of like moth. Grabbing a jellyfish, I suppose. Oh, big one. Uh, going to have to be Harpy's feather duster, though. Mirwall. Only two cards left. Ooh, yikes. Neither of these are very good. Um, what do we not have? Bay rocks, a curry box. Okay, well, this sucks. Um, however, I think we've actually built around our uh boss uh pretty well in that we have triple brain con and change of heart. We'll just summon a monster, stick it, hopefully steal our opponents and tribute summon serpent night dragon. So, I mean, we'll figure it out, you know. Okay, we spin the wheel. We get to add something. I kind of need to look at my I I haven't looked at my full deck together. Ritual. Ritual. I don't really want ritual, but uh it I mean it can be good. People were mad at me last time for picking relinquished, but with dragon nails, you know, you can equip the dragon nails as well. And it sucks up a monster. It avoids destruction thing. Like flying elephant doesn't matter. You're sucking it up. They have dragon nails. Can't be destroyed. Doesn't matter. You're sucking it up. It's just so good in this format specifically that it feels like I have to pick it because like these are cool, but now I don't have the the gay guardian either. So, it's even worse. So, definitely relinquished. One relinquished and one black illusion ritual will be going. Well, this is optional. You don't actually have to play these, but I am going to play relinquished. All right, we can grab one extra card from the Duelist Kingdom pool based on our spin here. And our spin here is going to be an effect monster. pretty much as good as it could get. Please don't go to fusion. All right, we'll have to pick a specific one there. Actually, not a lot of very good cards here. Okay, here are the 51 cards. We drafted 40. We got two from the wheel. And then I have nine cards from our boss monster. I have to decide exactly how many we're playing. But playing three harpy lady is not too bad because it is 1300. You add that with one of the unicorn, it's 2k. Plus, we need this to use with elegant egotist to summon out the harpies harpy lady sisters. So, right off the bat, what are we going to cut? That's terrible. We're going to cut the sword arm of dragon because it's an earth and it's 1750 for a tribute. So pretty bad this one. Uh the dark chimera is also bad, but it does pair with dragon nails and like brain control tribute summon add dragon is a three card combo. But if we do pull it off, it's 21 2210. So a little bit annoying to deal with and then you have to like remove it with a like battle. So I don't know. I haven't considered getting rid of that one yet. We're definitely not going to play I think three RV Lady Sisters just because they are hard to summon. We're going to play two of each of these and three of the Harvey Lady, I think. Funny enough, we're playing the Harvey deck. We have three Harvey Father Duster, so I do have to craft those because obviously they are ultra rares, but well worth it for the series to potentially finally win a game. Now, what else sucks in our deck? The problem is not much sucks in our deck. It's really hard to decide what I'm going to cut. I could cut this dragon capture jar. I could see it being useful though if they do have some powerful dragons, which are mostly tributes. It'll be like a blue eyes, maybe a curse of dragon, something like that. Very niche though, and we have a lot of good traps. So, I think I cut this. We're still at 47 though, so I've got to cut a lot of stuff here. And honestly, it might be destroyer golem at 1500 just because his typing doesn't fit. 1350 is pretty rough on the clown zombie, but it is a dark and I'm playing two dragon nail. I thought I had three for some reason, but I only have two. So, only having two. I mean, I have a lot of darks. It's like I got all these guys can go with dragon nails and they kind of do better with their, you know, searching ability. That's better. That's fine if we can pull it off. Uh we could do the shadow ghoul. So maybe it is the clown zombie trying to make it a little bit too dark heavy when it's just the dragon nail. So I'll cut the clown zombie. I mean 1610. Is that really worth it? I think that's got to go even though it is dark. We have a lot of options to equip with the dragon nails. And really the scariest one is shadow ghoul. I don't have a lot of tributes though if I don't keep the dark chimera. I kind of like having those shadow spell. Wait, is that in here? I did not put shadow spell in. Okay, let me fix that. That puts us at 46. Yeah, I definitely wanted to cut that other trap then if we have all that. I think it's destroyer golem though. It is 1,500 normal summon. I think that one needs to go. These are worse, but they have, you know, elegant egotist and harvest is, you know, they have a lot going for them. And this one really doesn't have anything besides just the 1500 attack points. So, I think we're going to cut you. But we do have the flying elephant for a normal summon. That's pretty awesome. Five more cards to cut. Yeah, it's got to be We're not playing this Dark Camera. I I'm trying to talk myself into it, but no, we're not playing that. I could just play one, but I I think it'll be more fun, you know, trying to get Arby's Lady Sisters out cuz I think we'll actually pretty consistently get it out if we play two of each. I think Shadow of Eyes, as much fun as it is, is not really that good. You know what's not fun is Chain Energy. I'm honestly just not going to play that. It's I mean, I I've got enough good cards. I don't need to play it. Two more can be cut. Let's cut. Am I missing something? That's really bad. Pretty good. Pretty good. Pretty good. Pretty good. Pretty good. Pretty good. Pretty good. It's got to be monsters. I think we're not cutting the floaters. That's 2k defense. This guy gets back a lot of awesome traps. Removes cards. I mean, in if we're like going best, it's probably one of these, but we're we're not going to do that, I don't think. Let's do uh maybe I just run two regular harpy lady. use 2 two two to make it even odds. Uh it is kind of weak. We need a three card combo for the sisters which sucks but that's why you kind of want to play three but I think two of each will work. Just so hard cuz all these cards are really good. It's so hard to decide what to cut. I I want to make it where you have to play 40. That is one of the rules actually. You can't play more than 40. [sighs] Maybe Ryoku horn of the unic. I mean I have dragon nails. This works on everything though. And it's also good for like potential deck out with all these morphing jars running around. This could help. It might be Mask of Darkness. Like we can get back all these traps, but the thing about getting back traps is they they knew you have them. So, I guess I'll cut that. It doesn't feel good cuz I think it is pretty good in our deck. But our deck's pretty awesome overall. So, I think this will work out. Let me go craft these Arby's feather dusters and spin the wheel. And then finally, a duelist kingdom event. Let's see what we've got here. Kaiba calls you a slur. Oh, a dweeb. [applause] Oh, don't worry. I'll summon it. So, here is the list. Unfortunately, because Kaiba called me a dweeb, I have to max out on Serpent Knight Dragon. Uh, but I'll be honest, I'm not too beat up about it. That's because we got four really specific incredible pulls. I'm talking about triple brain control and a change of heart. By using these cards in particular, as long as we can stick anyone, even like a Sand Gan or a Witch of the Black Forest, something through a Mirror Force or a Time Machine, we can just take one of our opponent's monsters and tribute summon for Serpent Knight Dragon. Think of it as Monarch, but instead of Monarch, we're summoning Serpent Knight Dragon. I feel really confident in this list, and I think that uh that Ruxen's going to die. You got anything to say, Rysa? Yeah. Yeah. She has torn a bamboo leaf. >> Yeah, that's good enough. Okay, time for the conquest wheel. Let's see what craziness is happening in dual skin today. So I guess I just use cards I already had. No, we just started. I haven't got the duel yet. Okay, we're not going to count fusions cuz as much as they could count, we're not going to do that. Well, I mean, I guess we do use them, so technically we should put them in there cuz sometimes that will matter. 55. I guess I'm like kind of Yeah, they they kind of need to be in there because they get rid of like certain things and we kind of want to hit fusion right now. Okay, three 34. Oh no, it's a trap. And we actually have unlimited harpy ladies. So, that's like pretty sick. Okay. Okay, that's good. One more. One more cuz we use our third Harvey Lady there. It just went to two. Destroyer Golem comes back for a little bit of attack strength. No, that was disastrous. Bones, why would you do that? I LOST MY CARDS in the dark. This is so not good. All right, Duelist Kingdom. Third times a charm. How you [laughter] doing? >> Uh, I'm doing good. I heard that you're not doing so good. I heard you're doing quite bad. >> Yeah, I'm doing awful actually. Uh, Duel's Kingdom has really showed me that you can't just You got to be pretty serious. Okay. Like, there's a lot of things that can happen. >> That's true. And I was super excited about my draft. Like, this is a great I spun the wheel and immediately removed three cards from my deck and they RNGed right into two of my best cards, which was great. >> Oh, good. [laughter] That's ideal. Now, I I did want to ask you, um, do we So, what is it? First of five or best of five? >> No, no, no, no. So, we So, it's a timer. So, this is how this works. We we have a maximum of 1 hour. We're starting with 20 star chips each >> and they will slowly uh the the bets will go up every time. So, it's one star chip to start and then it'll double every single time. And you the turn player could reduce the amount like if it's it has to be a max of eight, they could say, "Well, I only want to do one or whatever." But, uh, I've kind of thrown that out the window and now I think we just double it every time. It's just more fun. So, [laughter] so we're we're starting with one. That's this is the least important of the matches and I'm keeping up with that over there. But, you have 20. So, we have 20 to work with. >> Oh, are they Is it fake first? >> Uh, it is. The second time it was crazy good, but not nearly to this level. And really, it's like if you get Harby's feather duster on in a duel, you're in a much better spot because you just wipe everything and then they have to play around it and it's just a pain. But so many games I was on like a Brain Con and like a Kazogen. And I was like I wish I could just establish a guy. Like I think that definitely I was supposed to be picking that up. But >> yeah, with your your three brain cons and change of heart it would been multiple one tributes. Yeah. because then you can like just keep and and change of heart's so good because it as long as it's not Witcher s which it would have been in our duel because we had three of like a million of them but you know you take like Maneater or especially I did this against somebody magician of faith and then you flip it you get your thing and then tribute them off it's incredibly good >> well congratulations >> thank you I appreciate that now if I I I'm going to try not to lo also harpies harpy lady harpy's lady sisters while bricky compared to some of the other you know guys like serpent knight dragon. At least it has a card that summons it out of deck and it's like decently powerful. So I I kept drawing after the first game. I would go Harpy Lady Sisters. Then the next turn would be Relinquished, which is in my deck. [laughter] So I kept drawing those alone. I was like, "Okay, this is sick."
