Desperate Republicans Have NO IDEA How to Attack Abdul El-Sayed Without Being Racist
Watch on YouTubeVideo summary
The video transcript presents Abdul El-Sayed as a progressive Democratic nominee for the US Senate in Michigan who faces intense opposition from Republicans accused of resorting to racist and Islamophobic tactics due to an inability to critique his actual policy positions. The speaker argues that Republican attacks labeling El-Sayed an extremist are baseless, noting that his platform includes mainstream proposals like Medicare for All, abolishing ICE, taxing the rich, and supporting affordable housing rather than extreme measures. Instead of engaging with these policies, opponents allegedly attempt to frame them as horrifying or suggest voters should reject essential services like healthcare in exchange for nothing simply to avoid being associated with "extremism." The speaker contends that this strategy is a dishonest pitch designed to scare away working-class families who prioritize safety and economic stability over ideological purity.
Beyond policy disagreements, the transcript highlights how Republicans weaponize identity politics by attacking El-Sayed's Muslim faith and conflating his views on Israel-Palestine with anti-Semitism or support for Sharia law. The speaker refutes claims that using phrases like "Inshallah" (God willing) indicates extremism, pointing out that even former President Joe Biden used the term publicly without issue, while noting that Republicans often apply double standards based on race and religion. Additionally, false accusations are made regarding El-Sayed's alleged support for terrorism or a desire for 9/11 to happen, which the speaker dismisses as fabricated quotes invented by opponents like Mike Rogers who have no evidence of such statements from El-Sayed but instead campaign alongside figures with controversial histories themselves.
The analysis concludes that despite these aggressive and often dishonest attacks, there is significant concern within parts of the Democratic Party about electing a Muslim candidate, revealing deep-seated Islamophobia even among Democrats. The speaker contrasts this with the record of Mike Rogers, portraying him as an out-of-touch corporate puppet who has supported policies harmful to Michigan residents, including raising opioid flows and prescription drug prices, while seeking Trump's endorsement through sycophantic behavior. Ultimately, the video frames the upcoming election not just as a local contest but as a crucial test for progressive politics in swing states like Michigan, arguing that defeating Rogers would set a vital precedent for future campaigns by proving that voters can choose candidates based on their policies and moral stance against genocide rather than identity-based fears or dark money interference.

Abdul Rakman Els sayed who wants to take
away their gun rights. He wants to he
wants to cottify Roie Wade and overturn
the DOS decision. He wants to abolish
ICE. And a lot of the working-class
families in Michigan, just like in
Indiana and around the country, these
families just want to keep their the
these men and women just want to keep
their families safe. and Elsed wants to
abolish ICE and allow the drug cartel
gangs to take over the streets of cities
in Michigan. You look at the extreme
positions that Elsad has staked out. And
if he would happen to win in November,
he would be the most extreme Democrat
radical United States senator that we've
ever had. He would make Bernie Sanders
look squishy.
You just got a preview of some of the
GOP attacks against Abdul Elsa now that
he is officially the Democratic nominee
for the US Senate in Michigan. And it's
clear that they very clearly don't know
what to say about him or how to attack
him. So they're just calling him an
extremist when the policies that they're
pointing to like bringing back Roie
Wade, that's not extreme at all. In
fact, that is a majority position in the
United States. But if you look at the
table that they put up on Fox News
comparing his platform to DSAs as if
that's proof that he's extremist, it's
just laughable because these policies
are fairly mainstream. Medicare for all,
abolishing ICE, taxing the rich. And
just look at the last two columns.
Capitalism. He supports it but wants
regulation and affordable housing. Oh
no, that just sounds utterly horrifying.
So, their pitch to Michigan voters is
that they should reject health care and
affordable housing in exchange for
nothing so as to avoid quote unquote
extremism.
Sounds like a great bargain. Sign me up.
I mean, what a wonderful pitch that
they're actually trying to offer to
voters. But if that's not convincing
enough, well, he's also a Muslim. So,
there's that. Elsad is also an Islamist,
as is Mandami. And and look, you see the
green red convergence where the
communists and the Islamists, they want
Sharia law. They hate Jews. They hate
Christians. They hate capitalism. They
hate America. All of this is coming
together in a way that is really a toxic
toxic stew. We actually do want Sharia
law. Ted, how did you know? Which one of
you told Ted Cruz that we want Sharia
law on the left? Because that was
supposed to be a secret. Now, he also
said that the communist left hates Jews.
And Trump echoed that same line of
horseshit on Truth Social where he
called Elsa a communist loser who hates
Jews in Israel. And just to translate
that for you, he's calling Elsa
anti-semitic because he doesn't think
that the terrorist state of Israel
should be allowed to blow up children in
Palestine. You have to support their
genocide, otherwise you're anti-Semitic.
Just like how if you don't support Saudi
Arabia's 2018 genocide of Yemen or the
UAE's complicity with genocide in Sudan,
you're Islamophobic. And if you don't
support Russia's invasion of Ukraine,
you're rousobic, too, because that's the
way that it works. Apparently,
Republicans are the ones doing identity
politics now. As it turns out, but what
else are they going to say? Because
like, how do you make the case for
genocide without coming up with some
sort of disingenuous argument? Are they
just going to say genocide good? Because
they can't really say that. So they're
choosing to weaponize identity politics
to provide cover for an apartheid
ethnostate. But I think that by now most
Americans know the game that's being
played. So when all else fails, they
just can fall back to their go-to
strategy, which is classic Islamophobia.
Libs of Tik Tok tweeted that Elsa said,
"Inshallah," adding, "We are so [ __ ]
if this Muslim wins." And if you listen
carefully, you can almost hear her
clutching her pearls and puckering her
[ __ ] from across the country. That's
how outraged she is that he dared to say
inchah. Now, for those not living in a
cave, inchaha is Arabic for godwilling.
And it's a popular phrase even among
Americans. Joe Biden even said it on a
debate stage back in 2020, I believe.
But thankfully for him, he had the uh
appropriate skin color to say that
phrase without warranting suspicion
because, you know, to Republicans, just
being Arab or Muslim is a scandal in and
of itself. But Elsa's opponent isn't
stopping there. He's accusing him of
being proter terrorist. Writing in a
statement, "I spent years hunting
terrorists and bringing Osama bin Laden
to justice. Never in a million years did
I think that I would be running against
someone who believes America deserved
9/11." Now, for those who don't know,
Elsa had never said that. He did
campaign with Hassan [ __ ] who said that
before but Mike Rogers campaigned with
Donald Trump who's a pedophile. Does
that make him pro pedophilia? Like is
this what we're doing? So Mike Rogers is
literally making up quotes because I
mean what else is he going to do? Sure,
Elsa wants to give you health care and
affordable housing, but do you really
want those nice things from a scary
Muslim? You may die poor, but at least
you'll have the satisfaction of knowing
that you stopped a Muslim from winning a
race in Michigan in 2026. It is just
astonishing. And in case you didn't know
how racist Republicans really are, last
week I posted this video to YouTube
where I talked about blowback that
Donald Trump received after endorsing a
Republican running in Michigan's 8th
congressional district. Now, to spoil my
video, the reason why Trump's own voters
were pissed off that he made this
endorsement was because the Republican
in question's name is Amir Hassan. In
other words, they think that he's
Muslim. Now, to be clear, he is not
Muslim. He is a Christian who explicitly
stated that Jesus Christ is his Lord and
Savior. But it didn't matter because his
name was enough to warrant suspicion.
And in the end, Trump's endorsement made
zero difference because Amir Hassan's
Republican opponent who literally
suspended his campaign ended up beating
him in a [ __ ] landslide. I [ __ ] you
not. So, having Trump's endorsement
wasn't enough to get a born-again
Christian with a Muslim sounding name
across the finish line. That is how
racist Republican voters are. But I
mean, that's not surprising. The real
question is, will these lazy, racist,
Islamophobic ass attacks be enough to
sway non- voters and independents in
Michigan? And look, we're not going to
know until November. But I will say that
Elad, he's going to put up a hell of a
fight either way. Mike Rogers is the guy
who wants to put a data center in your
backyard so he can make himself feel a
little bit more manly by making an AI
video. [laughter]
Mike Rogers is a guy who has never shied
away from a DTE check so he could turn
his face in the direction of Florida.
Mike Rogers is a guy who will do
anything Blue Cross Blue Shield wants
him to do, including raise your rates.
Mike Rogers is a guy who introduced
legislation
to increase the flow of opioids. He did
that while I was in high school.
Mike Rogers is a guy whose politics and
vision and perspective are old.
Mike Rogers is a guy who has never shied
away from a corporation he could do a
favor for. Mike Rogers is a guy who,
believe it or not, went back to Florida
so he could lick every single boot
Donald Trump owns to beg for his
endorsement. I'm so sorry. If you want a
senator who's going to lick some boots,
fine. Go vote for Mike Rogers. But if
you want a senator who's going to stand
up to Donald Trump, then you've got your
option right here. He took I don't know
how much money, nearly a million dollars
from the pharmaceutical industry, voted
to raise prescription drug prices,
helped to architect the legislation that
kicked off the opioid epidemic. This is
a guy who's never seen a corporate
dollar he did not want to use to corrupt
his office. He made $14 million after
leaving Congress and moving to Florida
to play golf. If we bring people
together around a movement to take our
politics back, we really can beat him.
And what he's missing is that politics
has changed since the year 2000 when he
got to office. Now, it's not enough to
just get what, $70 million and run
30-cond ads on television. You actually
have to stand for something. And this is
a guy who doesn't want to actually
explain why he's backing Donald Trump on
the worst, most ridiculous war that
we've seen that they swore up and down
that we'd never fight. He doesn't want
to explain why he drives an EV, but
doesn't want you to. He doesn't want to
explain why he's okay with everybody
paying $5 gas because of adventurism
abroad. So, we're looking forward to
forcing him to explain all of those
things to the people of the state of
Michigan and then sending him back to
Florida so he can golf with his buddies.
He's so good at this and he's very
clearly ready to take on this fascist
buffoon. And I think this really is
going to be the ultimate test, not just
for the electability of the progressive
left, but also for the intelligence of
the American people. Because when given
the choice between a fascist genocide
supporting Republican with no policy
solutions and a progressive doctor who
opposes genocide and wants to give
everybody healthcare, I mean, what are
voters going to choose? To me, maybe I'm
living in a bubble. It feels like this
is the easiest decision ever. It's like
if I asked you, hey, would you rather I
slap you across the face or give you
$100? I think most logical people would
opt for the $100 as opposed to the slap.
But in all fairness, you know, as easy
as this decision is on paper, there's
going to be a lot of dark money spending
to obscure the difference between Elsa
and Rogers. And I say that because Alex
Solander of Axios reports that Apac is
gearing up to spend big against Elsa in
support of Mike Rogers. So they lose the
primary, then they immediately pivot to
supporting the Republican in the general
after they didn't get their way because
their goal is to support a rogue
imperialist terrorist state. And party
affiliation makes no difference. still
support a progressive or a straightup
fascist so long as that individual is
going to be a solid vote for Israel
reliably. It is truly outrageous. But
one thing that I will say is that I am
really impressed by Mallalerie McMurro
and even Haley Stevens who immediately
got behind Abdul Elsed in order to
defeat the fascist Republican. And that
is important because the Democratic
party really does have to be united. And
I appreciate his former opponents doing
what they expected of us because in the
event it were Stevens, we all know they
would be saying vote blue no matter who.
So I'm glad to see his opponents
actually practice what they preach,
which isn't always the case because we
saw with mom Donnie and we're seeing
with Daria Le and other DSA members, you
know, some Democrats aren't willing to
fall in line as they would expect us to.
And listen, I know how hard it is to
suck it up and vote for a candidate that
you don't really like. That sucks. This
is the first time that leftists like
myself haven't had to do that. So, I
empathize with the liberals who don't
want to vote for Elsa. But with that
being said, as much as we try to welcome
liberals and Stevens voters in
particular into the fold, we're going to
have to acknowledge that we may have to
cut our losses with some Democrats who
just aren't getable. And I think that
that number thankfully is fairly low.
But we have to face the fact that the
Democratic Party, like the Republican
party, has an Islamophobia problem.
Racism is alive and well in the
Democratic party. Now, even though you
have his opponents getting in line
behind him, you have some Democrats who
are going to refuse to support him just
because of who he is. In fact, some
Democrats like Federman, for example,
they're just implicitly endorsing his
Republican opponent. Are you willing to
unify with Abdul El Say for example,
who's now the Democratic nominee, the
Democratic candidate?
>> Oh, yeah. [laughter]
Yeah. The tough guy. He he called me
ugly and then I should be on a pike. And
I'm like, "Chief, I own mirrors. I know
I'm an ugly guy. Uh, but if you want to
put me on a pike, I mean, he has like a
really like a little man syndrome kind
of energy." And now he was really
arrogant in that race. And now we have
just fig found out that you know less
than a majority of Democrats want him
and he has a serious responsibility
between now and November to to hold that
seat.
>> So you think he could lose to Mike
Rogers?
>> Oh 100% that's possible with without a
doubt. I mean the polling seems to
indicate uh that uh that it is in
danger.
>> So he's not going to unite behind Elsa
because why would he? He is basically a
Republican for all intents and purposes.
And I think there's going to be some
voters in the Democratic party who are
going to agree with him because quite
frankly, they're [ __ ] racist pieces
of [ __ ] Now, the only thing surprising
to me about that clip is that Federman
was at least self-aware enough to know
how ugly he is because he is.
Objectively speaking, he is as ugly on
the outside as he is on the inside. But
it's surprising that he's smart enough
to realize that because he somehow isn't
self-aware enough to know that he would
get obliterated in a Democratic primary.
Just just watch.
>> If a Democratic uh Senate primary were
held in Pennsylvania today, the
Commonwealth as you like to call it, of
Pennsylvania, do you believe you would
win
>> if there was a primary, a Democratic
primary in Pennsylvania
>> like today?
>> Yeah. Uh yeah,
I I mean uh I mean that that's uh we
don't we don't know ex exactly, but but
but overall uh it's 2026, so it's it's
really kind of a theoretic.
>> Well, by all means, Fatterman, feel free
to run in a Democratic party primary in
2028 then. I'd love nothing more than to
see you get your cheeks clapped by
Summer Lee. Nothing would make me
happier to watch her drag you through
the [ __ ] mud during a Democratic
primary debate. That would be wonderful
to see. But to get back to Elsad, this
race is very important obviously because
if he's able to actually pull off a
victory here, the Democratic
establishment, they're not going to be
able to come up with some [ __ ]
electability argument about AOC in 2028
and whether or not she's viable in swing
states in 2028 if she chooses to run for
president. So, we need to take that
argument away from them and elect
somebody who can actually win in one of
these battleground states. And it's also
important to elect somebody to take
Bernie Sanders place in the Senate
because let's face it, he's getting up
there in age. And even though he did
already file the paperwork to run in
2030, believe it or not, I still think
it's important that we have somebody
there as a backup to carry the torch
should he choose to retire or god forbid
anything happens to him. But I do
believe that Elad can pull it off
because as William Lawrence put it,
organized people can beat organized
money. And he's living proof of that. He
was able to harness anger over data
centers to propel himself to victory in
Michigan's seventh congressional
district and I'll say it is already
deploying the same strategy which I
think is smart because that truly is an
issue that unites people across the
political spectrum. So we need all hands
on deck to pull off this victory. If you
live in Michigan, sign up to volunteer
if you can and if you don't live in
Michigan consider donating or phone
banking because this has to happen. We
have to make this happen. If he wins,
this would be a political earthquake and
really set the stage for a strong AOC
presidential campaign in 2028. So, we
simply cannot afford to lose. We have to
get this man across the finish line. And
I will use my platform in every way that
I can to make sure that that happens
because Senator Elsid has a nice ring to
it. And the policies that he supports in
particular, that sounds even more
wonderful.
Hey, hey, hey. [music]
