DAY 1 & 2 | Go Wild 2025 | Travel Day(s)

Hey, it's go wild week. Um, I need to put you guys down cuz I'm still getting ready, hence the uh really wet hair currently eating eating my breakfast, drinking my breakfast. But it's been a long time. I haven't seen you guys since last year for Go Wild. Ryan and I are going to vlog again. So, I am taking today, which is travel day. We've got some really fun things planned and um we're like mixing it up travel-wise. So yeah. Um so Ryan and I both live in Minnesota, so like Minneapolis, St. Paul area. Go Wild is in Indianapolis this year. However, we've got a little detour that we're going to take care of this time around. We're actually flying into Chicago and we are going to be staying with our friend Nina for tonight. We're actually going to go out to dinner in downtown Chicago tonight and we're meeting up with our other friend Becca who's flying into Chicago. And then we are going to Nina's house. We're going to have a sleepover and I haven't had a sleepover in my gosh decades. But we're so so excited. And then um from Nida's house we're going to road trip it to Indianapolis. So, we're so excited. So, yeah. Very, very fun. Very, very fun. All right, I need to start to drink this. Getting ready here. I figured I'd give you guys like a little life update while I like kind of do my makeupish. Um, really not much changed since last year. I am on Instagram, but I don't really I mean, I post, but I don't post a ton. Um, I just haven't been into the like YouTube stuff in a while, but I mean I'm always like someone of like the never say never, you know, like not that I'm never going to come back full time, but I don't know. I mean, maybe, maybe someday. I don't know. Who knows? You guys always ask the question like, "Are you ever going to come back to YouTube?" I don't know. I don't know. I will for go wild because it's like a special thing. I love documenting it. I love documenting it for you guys. um and sharing what the experience is like for me personally um from my perspective and my point of view and um it's just like a way to preserve memories too, you know, like why not, right? Still living in the same place, still working at the same place. Rupert is a wild man. He's actually at daycare right now. Grandma is going, my mom is going to be taking care of him while I'm gone. So, she's going to pick him up from daycare uh later on this evening. Yeah, that's kind of about it. I don't I don't know. I mean, other things are happening, but I just like can't think at the moment. I don't know. I'm actually going through my like travel makeup thing and pulling out everything I'm using and then like repacking it cuz I always feel like the dayh hold on. Okay, so like the day of travel I always have like a million little things that like I don't need like do I need this many concealers? I mean maybe. I don't know. But I feel like I need one, which is like this one that I'm going to use today. So, yeah. And I am going to bring I'm going to bring an eye pencil even though I'm not using it right now because I don't know. I feel like I just feel like I should. So, we're going to bring that with. And then I'm going to bring lip stuff even though I'm not using it right now. But we'll we'll cross that bridge. You know what I mean? Okay. What else did I tell you guys about? Okay. So, Ryan and I are going to the airport. not together, but we're going to meet there at 3:00. Our flight gets in kind of later, which actually ends up working out perfect cuz my mom is coming over here in a little bit. Um, I got to just show her something with like my community dog park. You actually need like a key to get in. And last time, um, she was here, we forgot to do it. So, we're gonna do that again. And then I got to show her a couple other things too. Um, in my place before we ski daddle out of here. I'm using this. I don't know. I got it at like it was in like the travel section of Ulta or Sephora a long time ago. Natasha Denona mini starlet palette. I think it looks cute. I probably need to, you know, learn how to do my makeup a little better, but it's fine. Um, but yeah, Ryan and I are meeting at 3:00. U my mom's going to come over, drop off some of her stuff, and then she's got to go. And then my dad is actually picking me up at like 2:15. Uh load up all my luggage, and then we're heading out to the airport cuz the airport's about, I don't know, 30 to 40 minutes away. So, just want to make sure um there shouldn't be too much traffic at 2:30 in the afternoon, but you never know. It's Minneapolis. Like, you just you never know. So anyway, my mom will pick up Roert later on this this evening from daycare after she's done with her thing. And uh yeah, they'll hold my mom's going to hold down the fort while I am gone with the Roert. But love that he goes to daycare. Doyle would never, by the way. Um like he would never go to daycare, but Rupert loves playing with other dogs and loves daycare. He's like definitely afraid of other people, but he likes the likes the people enough at daycare to like hang out. Plus, he's like obsessed with my mom. So, love that he gets his um grandma time while I'm out. So, he's the only person that when she comes to the door here that he is like, "Oh my god, like please come play with me." Everyone else, it's like the world is ending and I'm going to die. So, yeah. and he goes and sees like an animal animal I can't talk an animal behaviorist and all that like I don't know I mean he was a rescue you would think he would just get over whatever his issues were but I mean I got him when he was like 6 months or something but you know some dogs are just different you know so anyhoo but we're working on it we're working on it I'm always working on it with him just rest assured we're always we're always working on something with him so yeah but Rupert's good work is good. Life is survivable. Um, you know, I don't know. I started doing this new thing with this. I don't know. I found it or like it was recommended on TikTok. I know. Like this thing, this rock, whatever. Like if you have mature skin, um, which I'm getting there. Actually, I probably have like way mature skin, but um, I'm in denial, guys. I'm in denial. uh you put it like underneath your eyes to like uh moisturize and like kind of avoid the crepiness and I feel like it helps. I don't know. I feel like it like kind of helps a little bit. And then you like, you know, do your concealing of the things. I don't know. I'm sure I do things wrong, but I don't care. I don't know. I feel like I don't have much to update you guys on, but so many fun adventures happening. Ryan's vlog tomorrow is gonna be amazing because we're road tripping tomorrow and we've got some fun stops already planned. Um, and then on so when so tomorrow or tonight, sorry, tonight we're staying at Nina's house and we're going to have a sleepover and it's going to be great and so much fun. Um, but then Wednesday night we are going Yeah, Wednesday night we are going to be staying at the Fairfield Inn. It's actually like in the same parking lot where the conference is taking place, which is the JW Marriott. However, there wasn't enough rooms for Wednesday night in our like go wild room block. So, we had to make other accommodations for just Wednesday. So, actually, um, Nina and friends are also, um, staying there as well. So, yeah, the Wednesday rooms get snatched up really, really fast. And even though Ryan and I were part of the pre-sale, it didn't matter. They were all gone. So, anyway, it's all working out. And they like like literally the two hotels are in the same parking lot. They're all like Marriott hotels, too. So, I don't know, whatever. And then on Thursday, then we check into the hotel where the conference is being held at. So anyway, um and this is going in the garbage now because I've been using it for way too long and I have a new one for travel, but I'm just going to keep using it after my travel. So good time to rotate the things. You know what I'm saying? Rotate and get rid of things that you don't need anymore that are probably full of just nastiness. you know, just But um I think that's where I'm going to leave you now. I'm going to finish my face and then blow dry and do my hair and then when I see you guys again, I'll probably be at the airport probably. Oh, you know what? Hold on. Come with me. Come with me. I got to show you things. Okay, so here's my packing list of basically all of my clothes. And then over here are like all my toiletries, uh cosmetics, extras, all the carry-on, all the things. So, everything I've packed so far has a check. I've got to check a couple more things. And then just there's a couple things over here I got to check, too. So, anyways, and then I've got my toiletries. I've got my other bag in the bathroom that I showed you that's getting ready. So, anyway, I have one of my bags packed to the brim right there. And then here, um, what I like to do, and I think Ryan basically we do the same thing, is that we pack like a bag and a half because we never know how much swag we're gonna get. Um, and then here's my jacket, but this side of the bag is basically not going to be filled with anything. This is my other side. So, I've got um some clothes right here, and then I've got my steamer. And then I also have my sound machine cuz you know about the crickets and all that good stuff. And then over here is my carry-on. I just got this from Amazon not too long ago. I'm testing it out this time, but it does fit my big old laptop, which I said it didn't fit the laptop, but I was kind of curious. And then I just have some pouches for um like this is all my cords. And these are just like what is in here? Oh, these are all like Lysol wipes, things like that. I have some mices cuz I'm a toddler. And I got my sunglasses. And what else is in here? Oh, this is like jewelry in here. And then I'm also going to bring this. I'm just going to tuck that inside. And then it's got like my ID and crap like that. So yeah. So that's what's going on over here. Okay. So that is going to be it from my place. Uh again, like I said, I will see you guys when I see Ryan. Bye. Guess who I found? This guy. We are at our gate. E6. And we are in the back of the plane because we're balling on a budget here. I think we're in the back, aren't we? I don't know. I don't think so. I don't know. We're in like boarding group six or Q. Yeah. Like it's the last one. So, we are we're patiently waiting over at Kudoba. And uh Yeah. So, one of our friends, Becca, is already in Chicago. And then Nina's picking us up and we're all going to dinner. And I'll show you dinner and all the things. And we just have to take off first. Yeah, that's we we have to keep going in the air. One flight today and then 2 and 1 half hours of driving tomorrow. Yes, we're going to have an amazing road trip tomorrow. So Ryan's going to have that vlog because it's going to be full of shenanigans. I had to dust off the vlog camera and everything. I had to dust this thing off, too. So anyway, is this thing on? Anyways, two lanes to turn left onto the I65 South ramp. We're going places. We just went and got some gasoline and got some coffee and now merge on. We have all the snacks over here. Hold on, let me show you this situation as well as that situation. Our bags are underneath there somewhere. And we are headed to Indie. Yay. Um, we're also going to the cake is it the bake shop? Is that what it's called? Continue for $49. the cake bake shop in Indian. Indianapolis, right? Yeah. Yeah. Normal Indianapolis. Okay. Um and I'll show you what we get there. It'll be delicious. I've heard rave reviews from at least one person in this car. I've looked at the menu. It looks really great. So, anyway, welcome to day two, which is still day one because it's traveling. Okay. Oh, and don't mind our friend Deborah 2.0. She's She's taking a nap, but she's buckled into She is She's literally buckled. Her tail and back leg are buckled. So, we'll see you soon. We're just kind of getting settled in and going to do a little bit of unpacking, but just like just for tonight and just for today. So, yeah, that is the plan. And um yeah, we're just going to kind of chill for a little while. We're actually going to dinner with a friend of ours, Sam, tonight for dinner. And we're going to go to Old Spaghetti Factory. And I guess it's like a 10-minute walk from the hotel, so that'll be really fun. And um yeah, just doing all the great things. And uh lunch was delicious. Uh the cake was outstanding. So if you're ever in the area, make sure to check that place out cuz it was really, really good. Um, so yeah, but this is my bed for the night and um going to unpack. Very, very exciting. I'll do like a bigger or one of us will do like a bigger hotel room tour thing tomorrow when we actually get that hotel cuz that's the hotel we'll be in for like the remainder of our trip. So anyway, that's it. And we did get a little mini fridge which is wonderful. I love refrigeration. Anyway, I will see you guys in a little bit. Bye. I'm on my way [Music] home. I don't know if I showed you a clip from dinner, but we did go to Old Spaghetti Factory, which was really fun. I haven't been in an old spaghetti factory in years, like at least a decade. There was one in Minneapolis a long time ago, but it had since closed. Um, so it was really good. Yummy Italian. All the cheesy carbs. You know, I love a cheesy carb. And then we went to a place called Howl at the Moon, and they it was like a dueling piano bar. Um, it was kind of fun. There were some a couple good songs that they did, and then I just like didn't know what was going on, and it was so crowded in there. And there was also like half the bar was closed for a private event and there wasn't a ton of people in the private event. So everyone else like the general public was just kind of like sardined into like one little section. So it just made moving around really hard and it was really really loud in there. But the funny thing is when you got outside the audio was great because they had audio speakers outside of like just the dueling piano people. I was like this is actually nice out here. I don't know. It was just kind of funny. Um, but met some other people at the Marriott cuz we dropped um Sam off and um yeah, now we're back in the hotel hanging out here. Oh Look, look who Look at that fashionista. Hello. Just piecing out. Hello there. Just taking it all in, you know. Yeah, it's been a day. How was your day? It was lovely. Yeah, it was lovely. Yeah. Woke up, went on an adventure. made it to road tripped. Made it to fabulous Indianapolis. I feel like we had a sleepover like a week ago. Like it doesn't feel like it was today. This is cuz it's like been it's been a while. Like isn't that wild though? Like we pack in so much and like it's just it's hard to like differentiate what day it is. When you're only here for like 5 days, but then like something that happened in the morning of the same day, I'm like, "Well, that was weeks ago." Like it was 3 days ago. Nope. It happened like less than 24 hours ago. like, oh crap. Yeah. So, yeah. But anyway, we stopped at the um front desk and got a late checkout. So, we're going to check out here at 1:00 because we're transferring over to the other hotel. So, they were kind enough to give us a free um complimentary checkout. And there is complimentary breakfast tomorrow until 9:30. So, we're going to head down and get that and then probably come back and snooze a little bit more um and get ready for the day and then we'll check into the other hotel um when we can. So, anyway, just wanted to close out the vlog here. Do you have anything to add, Mr. Ryan? No. Uh I will be vlogging tomorrow, though, so buckle up. Uh Man with the Plans will be dusting off its YouTube cobwebs and we'll be capturing all of registration day and the welcome party. Yes. Um, and I'm just excited to meet all of you that are there. And if you're like, I just think this is such a fun, strange phenomenon that we're a part of where I'm like once a year all my planner folk converge on a city we didn't pick and have the best time ever. And like that's how I have to explain to folks and I don't know. So I'm looking to bring you all the fun for tomorrow. Nice. All right.
