So now the ministry of statistics and program implementation released the index of industrial production for the month of July. We can see that the industrial growth in India is currently standing at 6.7%age which is much lesser than the the previous month that is in June. And next is Javelin anti-tank guided missile system. So now the India has signed an agreement with the US for the purchase of Javelin anti-tank guided missile system. So we'll be discussing the key features of the system and its significance. And the third article is about the demarcation of Ganga flood plane in UP. So the UP government informed the national green tribunal that is they have completed the physical demarcation of Ganga floodplane zone. So in this background we'll be discussing what is the significance of this news and what is the significance of demarcating the flood plane zone and what are the major functions of the flood plane zone and finally the mains article it is about the transboundary Himalayan disaster Indochina Nepal cooperation. So the wreath and flashlight in Nepal you know was so devastating and this incident is highlighting the need for a trilateral collaboration between Nepal, China and India for the disaster management in the uh Himalayan region. So we'll be discussing what is the significance and what are the major challenges in the cooperation and way forward and finally we'll be discussing the prelims focus for the day. So if all set let's begin the discussion with the first article. Coming to the first article, IIP's lost to 6.7%age in July. Article is taken from the Hindu. So now we can see that the India's industrial growth got fell to 6.7%age in July 2026. So comparing with the month of June, we can see a significant fall in the industrial performance of India in the month of July and the growth is standing at 6.7%age. Even though there is a fall in the industrial growth still it is the second best growth recorded in India since the December 20125. So comparing with the month of June there is a fall in the industrial growth but even though there is a fall still it is the second best growth of industry industrial growth that we have recorded since December 2025. So in this background let us understand more about this article. So first we'll start with the basic that is the index of industrial production. So we know that it is a macroeconomic indicator released by the ministry of statistics and program implementation to assess the short-term changes in the volume of production of basket of industrial product. So simply it will be assessing the industrial performance the short-term industrial performance in India through calculating the pro the production of certain products in the basket and this index is released by the ministry of statistics and program implementation and recently we have updated the base year from 2011 till to 2022 23 to reflect the recent changes in the industrial uh production as well as the the changing nature of the industy. industrial structure and talking about the key indicators used in the uh index. So we have the sector wise uh classification to assess the industrial growth. So here we will be considering the manufacturing which has the highest weightage of nearly 80 76.6%age followed by mining which has a weightage of approximately 11 percentage and then electricity and gas industries 10%age water supply and waste management 2.02 02 percentages. So this is how the IIP will be classifying the the sectors in the economy. And next is the product. So it will classify the industries or the products based on the consumption like primary goods, capital goods, intermediate goods, infrastructure and construction goods and also consumer durable and consumer non-durable goods. So we can see that in the in the month of July in the month in the in the month of July IAP we can see a significant increase in the demand of the consu consumer durable goods and a significant fall in the consumer non-durable demand and also it will be calculating the production from the eight core industries of the economy and they are called crude oil, natural gas, refinary products, fertilizers, steel industry, cement and electricity and this eight core industries has the first has a total weightage of nearly sorry it it constitutes nearly 40%age of the total weightage of the IAP and talking about the key findings from the July month of uh IAP we can see that the headline uh growth is standing at a 6.7%age compared to the revised 8.8%age 8%age in the month of June June 2026. So I already mentioned that comparing with the month of June there is a significant fall in the industrial growth. So in the month of June we expected an industrial growth of approximately 7.6 uh sorry 7.3%. In the month of June we expected an industrial growth of 7.3%age but the actual production the actual growth was 8.8%age 8% much higher but we can see that in the month of uh July the production again fell to or the growth again fell to 6.7%age against the revised 8.8%age of the month of June so that is mean that is meant by the revised 8.8%age 8 percentage and next so like I mentioned before even though there is a fall still it is considered as the second best growth that we have recorded since the December month of 20125 and next is the sector wise performance so we can see that due to the increase in the production in the electrical equipment and also the automo the manufacturing sector of the uh IAP has witnessed a growth of nearly 7.3%age and uh in the case of electricity electricity maintained the usual growth that is 8.7%age but the sector of mining witnessed their contraction by minus 0.9%age. So the the the sector in the sector wise performance the manufacturing is leading because of the production in the electrical equipment and automoil and we have to see that this automobile and electrical equipments these are considered as durable goods. These are considered as consumer durable goods and we can see that most of the time this type of equipments are highly purchased by the people of urban area. Therefore this IP of 2026 is also sorry the IIP of June July 2026 is also indicating the the uh the the difference between the rural and urban consumption. So look at here we can see that the consumer durable goods witnessed a growth of nearly 10.8 8 uh sorry 10.5 percentage. So consumer durable goods includes big big tickets, credit linked items like home appliances, vehicles. So these are the items that we usually purchase using the credit right. So in the urban and these items are mostly purchased in the urban area. So in the urban area for the durable goods there is an increase in the demand uh in the month of July. uh and this is reflecting high urban demand and on other side the consumer non-durable goods got fell by minus 1.0 minus 1 percentage. So that is indicating so what are the non-durable goods daily essential items. So this essential items are mostly purchased in the rural area and that means uh this is indicating or this is reflecting the fall in the rural mass consumption. This is indicating the fall in the rural mass consumption. That means there is some issue in the rural conception or in the rural demand. So these are the major findings that we can see from the IIP of July 2026. So considering with the month of June there is a fall. Even though there is a fall still it is the second best growth that we have recording since the December 2025 and we can see that the manufacturing sector because of the production in the electricals and work automobile there is an increase in the manufacturing sector sector performance and on other side the electrical sector performed as usual and we we saw a growth of nearly 8.7%age but mining sector alone is falling you know it got contracted by minus0.9%age And talking about the mass consumption so in the urban area for the durable goods there is a high demand but in the rural area we can see a significant fall in the mass consumption. So these are the major findings that we can see from the IAP of July 2026. And now we are going to see what are the things that we can understand from this AP 2000 July 2026. The first is economic health. So we can see that the industrial production itself is falling. So comparing with the uh there's a short-term part. So this is indicating some issues in the industrial uh structural problems in the industrial sector of India and second is the consumption gap. So we already saw that in the for the durable goods there is a mass consumption but for the non-durable goods there is a significant fall. So this is indicating uh you know uh division the increasing division between the uh the rural area and the urban area when it comes to the conception and also concern about the private investment. So we know that private investment is very important but the industrial sector is very you know unpredictable. If it is not performing up to the mark then eventually the corporate will withdraw their fund from the economy. So this will increase the risk of uh you know uh part of the long-term corporate capital expenditure and this will affect the sustained economic growth and next is the need for policy. So we can we we can see uh you know uh a fall in the rural demand. So it is time it is time to look into that area that means we have to take adequate step to boost the rural income as well as the rural consumption. So these are the major uh takeaways from the IIP July 2026. And now we will see a prelims practice question. The question is with reference to the index of industrial production. Consider the following statement. Statement one IP is compiled and released by the national statistical office under the ministry of statistics and program implementation. And statement two manufacturing has the highest weightage in the IAP. And statement three, the core industries together account for more than half of the total weight of the AIP. So how many of the given statements is or are correct. Option A one only, option B two only, option C all three and option D none of the above. So we can see that it is compiled and released by the national statistical office under the ministry of statistics and program implementation that is correct and manufacturing has the highest weightage. Yes, if you take the sector wise weightage the manufacturing has the weightage of nearly 76%age. So that is also correct. And third statement the the eight core industries together account for more than half of the total weight of the AP. Now it is 40%age. So I the core industries has the constitute nearly 40%age of the total weight of the AP. We have discussed the point. So the statement three is incorrect. Remaining two statements are correct. So the correct answer is going to be option B2 only. Yes. With this we will move to the next article. Coming to the second article, India signs javelin in procurement deal with the United States. Article is taken from the Hindu. So on Friday, the United States of America and India signed a letter of offer and acceptance for the purchase of Javelin anti-tank guided missile system. So what is mean by letter of offer and acceptance? It's an instrument used by the United States of America during the time of foreign military deal. So we can see that this letter of offer will be accepting about know it it will be talking about the guidelines for the purchase the sale and also about the features of the uh you know the equipment which is going to be in the deal and we can see that the procurement will take place through the US foreign military sale route and the Indian army will procure the missiles in limited number under emergency procurement power. So simply we have signed the letter of offer and acceptance with the United States and it is an instrument used it's a government to government instrument used by the US during the time of military uh deal with the other countries and uh uh and now we have signed a deal for the Javelin anti-tank guided missile system. So what is mean by javelin? So it's a medium-range anti-tank guided missile system designed to destroy armored vehicle and engage fortified positions. So it can be used in urban warfare you know it can be used for destroying the the shelter of the enemies uh and also at the same time it is specifically made for destroying the tank during the time of battle. And we can see that it is based on the fire and forget technology. That means there is no need to guide the missile throughout its course. Once the target is fixed it will automatically destroy the target. And second is it will carry an explosive system called tandem warhead. So what is mean by tandem warhead? Does it carry any explosive system? Yes, it is carrying explosive system and that is called tandem warhead. So tandem warhead it is an explosive system with two charges. So in the first charger the first strike from this missile will be destroying the armor of the tank. It will be destroying the armor of the tank and the second will destroy the target. Okay. So the first charge will be destroying the armor of the uh tank and the second charge that will be that will be following the first charge within mill in a gap of milliseconds and that will destroy the the target and this javelin is made by javelin join join venture that is loed and loed Martin and RTX and this is the these are the major features of the javelin anti anti anti-tank system. So we can see that it is based on fire and target technology. That means once it is fired there is no need to guide the missile and uh the range is approximately 2,000 m that is nearly 2 km. So it is a medium range guided missile system for the tank and we can see that the propulsion so it uses two-stage solid fueled rocket motor for for the thrust and we can see that the length of this javelin missile system is approximately 1.76 m very small which is know which makes it more portable and the weight is just 28 kilometer and the warhead weight is just 8.4 four sorry the weight is 28 kilogram and the weight of the warhead is 8.4 4 kilogram and we can see that talking about it attacking style it has a pattern called top attack. So once the tank is here so it will be attacking the tank. It is one of the weak points. It is one of the weak point. So it will be attacking the tank from the top and then it will destroy the tank completely. The second charge that is second uh the the second charge from the tandem warfare will sorry the warhead will be destroying the the uh the tank completely. So this is the attack pattern of the javelin. So this is the how the Javelin will look like. This is how the Javelin anti-tank missile system will look like and only two two people uh is needed to handle this and the significance of the Javelin deal. So we have signed the letter of operate acceptance. So what is the significance? First is anti- armor capability. So you know we can uh it is increasing India's strength against the tank and second is post operation synindur. So we we know that it it enhances critical operation preparedness. Yes, we have you know the the operation Sindur and the Pahulgam attack it is you know it is pointing towards the changing nature of terrorist terrorist attack and all. So therefore it is it is an additional to the Indian defense. Next is it will boost the defense ties between India and the United States of America and also it opens scope for co- production and the stronger defense industrial collaboration. So we know that in the recent times we are not just consumers of the defense equipments. We are joining with other countries for manufacturing the defense equipments right using our own advantages and they we will get expertise from other countries. So based on this agreement we are now moving towards co-manufacturing of defense equipments with other countries. So maybe in the in the few in the coming days we can uh engage with the United States for co-manufactur co-manufacturing of various or co-production of various defense equipments and designing various defense equipments. Now we have a prelims practice question. The question is with reference to Javelin missile consider the following statements. Statement one, it is a medium-range anti-tank guidance missile. Yes. And statement two, it uses fire and forget guidance system. Yes. And statement three it does not carry any warhead. No it carries warhead. It is the the know the incoming threat is destroyed using the help of tandem warhead only. That means it has two explosives. The first charge will be destroying the armor. Second charge will be silencing the threat. So the statement three is incorrect while statement two and statement one are correct. So the correct answer is going to be option A one and two only. Let's check yes. With this we will move to the next article. Coming to the third article, demarcation of 700 kilometer river Ganga flood plane complete. Article is taken from the Hindustan Times. So now the Uttar Pradesh government informed the national green tribunal that is they have completed the government of Uttar Pradesh have completed the physical demarcation of Ganga flood plane zone and that covers nearly 700 kilometer covering 13 districts starting from Unawa to Balia and after the demarcation the government has installed nearly 7,315 pillars for demarcating the uh the flood plane zone. So what is the importance of this? So before that what is mean by flood plane? Flood plane is a low-lying region that is the plane that is located between uh sorry that is that is located on the either side of a river. So this region is highly fertile and this uh once upon a time this region and even today the flood plane zone is uh you know supporting the agriculture. It it also has certain ecological functions like groundwater recharge, supporting the aquatic habitat in this region you know um protecting the region from the flood. This this region will store excess flood water and this will protect the surrounding regions from the flood. So the flood plane is one of the important ecosystem and we can see that now the government of Uttar Pradesh have demarcated this flood train zone of the Ginga to protect the uh flood plane region and what is the purpose the ultimate purpose is identifying and demarcating to protect the region from unauthorized encroachment and construction and other human activities. And uh talking about the Ganga flood plane. So it is a low-laying land that is located on the either side of the river Ganga. And this region will experience you know flood during the time of high flow period. And we can see that it performs ecological functions like flood water storage, groundwater recharge, sediment deposition and supporting the aquatic and terrestrial habitat in this region and also it helps to maintain the natural flow dynamics of the river. And we can see that talking about demarcation, it is the physical and legal process of mapping, marking and dividing the low-winning land next to the river Ganga river that collects the overflow during the high water period. And based on under the national uh mission for clean Ganga, we have divided uh the the flood plane into three category. The first is active flood plane. So if the flood plane is submerged at least once every 5 year this region is active flood plane and therefore the construction and all other human activity is strictly prohibited and this region is highly protected. And next comes the regulatory zone. So if the flood plane is flooded every once uh once once in every 5 to 25 years then this region is classified as regulatory flood plane zone and we can see that construction allowed with a specific approval. So we can construct certain infrastructure or certain structures here but they are regulated. And next we have the warning zone. So here the flood if the flood plane is uh you know uh flooded once in every 25 to 100 years then that is classified as warning zone. And here the development is allowed with the official clearance. So this is how we will be classifying the flood plane. So in summary flood plane is nothing but it is a region that is a lowlying region or plane that is located on the either side of the river and during the high flow period this region will collect the excess water from the river and protects the surrounding region from the flood and this also has ecological functions like flood water storage groundwater recharge protecting the aquatic and terrestrial flora and fauna in this region and also it will help us to maintain the the natural flow of the river. So we know that if the river suddenly changes the course if there is no flood plane zone then there is a high possibility that the impact of this flood will be reaching the people directly. So this is how the flood plane is acting as a acting as an important ecological uh sorry an important ecosystem and uh look at this picture you can see the flood plane. So this is the fret plane and once the river is overflowing once the river is overflowing that time the excess water will be stored in this region. And talking about the Ganga river system so we know that it is the largest drainage network in India spanning across 2525 kilometer from Himalayas to the Bay of Bengal. So it is starting from the Gangotri glacia as BRI river and once it reaches the once the BRAI merges with the Alagan Alaganandanda at Deva Priya it becomes Gena and we can see that it then it flows through Uttakand Uttar Pradesh Bihar Jarkan and West Bengal and finally it will be discharging in the Bay of Bengal along with the Brahmabutra river. So this is the short you know introduction about the Ganga water system. It is the largest drainage system in the country spanning across 2525 kilometer and it is starting from the Gangotri glacier as Bagrati river and once it merges with the Alaganandanda in D Praa it becomes Ganga and from there it will cover the Uttakand Uttar Pradesh Bihar Jarkand and West Bengal and finally discharges into the Bay of Bengal. So this is the Ganga water Ganga river system. Here you can see the Gangotri glacia and it is starting as BRI and in the in the D pra it is merging with the Alagadanta river and from Harido it will be entering into the plane region and from there it will discharge into the Bay of Bengal. So this is the picture of or diagram of the Ganga river system and now we have the prelims practice question. The question is with reference to Ganga flood plane consider the following statements. Statement one, the Ganga the flood plane performs functions such as flood water storage, groundwater recharge and sediment deposition. Yes. And statement two, the Ga is formed at Draak by confluence of the Birati and Alaganandha. Yes. And statement three, the Ga enters the plains at Harido after flowing through the Himalayan region. Yes, that is also correct. And statement four, the Ganga flows through Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jark and West Bengal before entering into the Bay of Bengal. Yes, that is also correct. Coming to the fourth article a sh disaster beyond borders and geopolitics. Article is taken from the Hindu. So we know that on 26th of August 2026 a massive glacial collapse near the Nepal China border triggered a devastating flash flood and in this flash flood many villages in the Tibetan region and in the Nepal got destroyed and hundreds of people lost their life and thousands of the people are still missing and we can see that in in India also we had to displace the communities living near the banks of Himalayan rivers including Kosi, Gandak and Banga. So this devastating flash flood this disaster is highlighting the need for a trilateral collaboration between Nepal, China and India in the Himalayan region. So in this background let us understand more about this article. So talking about the incident so we know that on 26th August uh a massive landslide happened in the Nepal China border and that triggered the flash flood and we found that this created an earthquake this this collapse of the glacier created an earthquake with a magnitude of 5.2 2 and we found that this earthquake was not triggered by the tectonic movement. It was triggered by the collapse of the glacier. And talking about the flash flood, we know that it is a sudden rise in the water level in the lowlying areas. And this happens within 6 hours of a heavy rainfall. Sometimes this flash flood can be also triggered by earthquake, landslide, glacier, glacier collapse or avalanches or due to many other reasons. Sometimes it can be also triggered by the uh you know break of um dams. So this can be the you know uh this can be both man-made or natural. So we can see that this incident this flash flood. So this is a picture of Nepal village on 26th August 2026. So from this we can understand that the the the severity of the the the situation right so how this happened how this uh Nepal flash flood happened. So we have already done an article but let's recap how this happened. So we know that this is the spot. So in this region glacier collapse happened and that triggered uh you know uh uh instability in this region and the glacier the debris entered into the lake lentola river and then from the lender and that triggered the flash flood and the debris and the water entered into the Girong Girong port. This is a major trading point between the Nepal and China and we can see that from there it entered into the ras rasub district of Nepal. So this is this is the this is how the incident happened. So glacier collapsed in this region and then the glacier and the debris uh entered into the lenticola river and then the water the the the water and the debris entered into the girang border port between the Nepal and China. It's a major trading point and from there it reached the debris reached the the Ruba district of Nepal and we can see that nearly 626 people as as per the present data nearly 626 people lost their life and thousands of people are still missing and hundreds of people who went to Nepal from India they are also missing the the the search for the people is still going on and we can see that Nepal lost a mega uh you know uh electricity capacity of nearly uh 470 75 megawatt and other infrastructures also got destroyed and in the case of China their major you know affected region is the Girong county in Tibet. So the Girong county and is the major affected region because of the splash flood rescue operations are still going on and the Girong port was totally destroyed. So this is how China is impacted and in the case of India we can see that the flash flood entered the downstream river systems like Koshi, Ganga and Gant and this led to a you know a rise in the water level and we had to displace many communities from uh many communities uh in the state of Bihar and Uttar Pradesh who are living near to the uh the Ganga water system like we had to displace communities from Maharaj Genj you know Pushinagarano. So we had to displace vulnerable communities and this uh we we have uh deployed a national disaster response force and we have also sent the ration and other assistance humanitarian assistance to the Nepal. So this is how three countries are affected because of this flash flood. So this is highlighting the need for these three country know the need for a trilateral collaboration between these three countries in the disaster management of the Himalayan region and why it is important why this incident is important or what it is reflecting. First is transboundary disaster. So the the disaster is not just limited to any one country. Three countries China, India and Nepal. These three countries are affected. So it is highlighting the need for uh you know collaboration between these three countries. And second is it is highlighting the vulnerability of Himalaya. So we can see that in the recent time there was a report which which found that there's a significant fall in the water level of Indust basin. So Indas river the water level is falling in the indust river the water level is falling and the the report also highlighted another concern that is sometimes this glacier collapse that means the weakening of the glacia can trigger disaster. So this is this flash flood in this region is highlighting the the the vulnerability of the Himalayan region that means the the faster melting of the glacier and how this is affecting or how this is uh you know impacting the lives of the people and second is need for disaster diplomacy. So we we know that Nepal, China and India these three countries have their own ambitions and their own areas of conflict but it is a time to you know uh take a step for disaster diplomacy you know putting aside our uh other interests and ambitions uh to save the life and then and the next is importance for regional coordination that means coordination between the disaster management authorities and institutions for better intelligence sharing data sharing and also for better monitoring and management of the glaciers in the region. So these are the major things that we can understand from this or that we can learn from this research. So second is challenges. What are the challenges in engaging or what are the challenges faced by the trilateral know coordination. So the first is geopolitical tension. So we know that geopolitical since the galvan valley incident the Chinese Indian relation is not that good but in between we have done lot of we have taken a lot of step uh for rebuilding the India China relation. Since 2022 the Galwan Valley incident the the relation is not strong and now we are going for the representatives meeting which is led by the the national adviser and security adviser Ajit Dwal. So we are taking a lot of steps to rebuild the the the relation with the China but still there are tensions especially there is a tension with the you know uh the the demarcation of boundary and next is trust deficit that is concerns over sharing sensitive hydraological systemic and infrastructure data. So we know that China is acceler in the recent times China has accelerated many infrastructure projects in this border region especially in the higher altitude regions of Himalaya. So they may the countries may not be you know comfortable in sharing these uh data but these data is very important in preserving or protecting the stability of Himalayan region. And next is border dispute. Yes obviously Nepal and China and Nepal, China and India all these three countries have their own areas of conflict. For example, you know the the the Kali river issue between Nepal and Nepal and India and border demarcation issue between China and India. So the border dispute it is one of the hurdles in the cooperation. And next is different priorities. So security and development interest differ among the three countries. So yes you know Chinese interest in this border region will be different from Nepal's interest. Nepal's interest will be different from India's interest. So u for example China is transforming the Himalayan region using infrastructure but on other side Nepal may have a concern about him because they are highly vulnerable to the they are a Himalayan state and they they are highly vulnerable to any disaster. So the different priorities will huddle the the cooperation and next is weak institutional mechanism that means we have only very limited trilateral disaster management framework. In 2014 there was a trilateral track meeting and after that there was no major development in that. And next is difficult terrain. So we know that anyway. So so this Himalayan region is highly you know it is an active sesmic zone and also it is a vulnerable region. Therefore even though if we take lot of step till the disaster will happen and we can see that it but we can limit the impact of this disaster in the people on the people. So therefore we can collaborate in in that region but the difficult terrain will uh will be always a challenge that means the topography the structure of Himalaya the composition of Himalaya always it is always you know a challenge for these three countries in preventing the natural disasters that means we can take lot of steps but still the region is vulnerable and it is highly prone to disaster and next is data symmetry that is unequal technical capacity and differences in data sharing standards can hinder the joint action. Yes. So this this is a reflection of the uh we can bring standard but still the countries may not be interested because of their different ambitions and interest. So these are the major challenges in engaging or bringing a trilateral coordination for the disaster management between these three countries. And next is measures for him stability. So what are the measures that we have to take for ensuring the Himalayan stability? The first is echosensitive infrastructure. That means we have to bring a Himalayan specific building code for the construction uh for for construction of buildings to maintain the stability in this region because the land is highly vulnerable to uh uh subsidance. So therefore in that situation we have to bring and also this region is highly prone to uh earthquake. So in in that situation we have to conserve this region and at the same time we have to prevent the cascading impact of this uh disaster. Therefore we have to bring Himalayan specific building code. And next is regulated tourism. That means limiting the tourism to limit the pressure and stress on the ecology of Himalaya. And next is technology enabled disaster management that includes strengthening early warning system satellite and glacial lake uh you know moni monitoring and all. So we we know that in 2024 23 uh 24 the the Lohang lake glacial lake outburst. So we constantly monitoring this glacial lakes are very important to prevent the the the or to protect the marine dam and to protect the life of the people. And we can see that we have launched an initiative that is NISAR NASA through synthetic aparture radar. So this NISAR project but still the launch of this Nissar satellite is still you know facing lot of delay but once it is launched it will be very effective in in monitoring the stability of the Himalayan region. Next is basin level planning that means shift from project wise to landscape and watershed based planning. So instead of just focusing on bringing a mega an infrastructure or a mega conservation plan uh we have to focus or we have to conserve the region from the grassroot level and next is springshed management that includes restoring the mountain springs through scientific and community participation and it is promoted by the Nidi yoga. So we can other countries like Nepal and China they can adopt these type of measures. And next is community conservation. So we know that communities conservation is very important to protect the nature right. So without their participation we cannot uh you know uh make a make a sustainable or progress in the disaster management. So this includes providing training to the communities you know teaching them about the the signs or symptoms about the the disaster and also uh teaching them about the immediate immediate measures has to be taken in case there is an disaster. So these are the uh uh initiatives that we can take under the community conservation and next so we have challenges but at the same time it is inevitable as of now because we can see that these three countries has to take step to make sure that the the lives of this the people's lives in this region is saved. So disaster to an extent we can prevent it through various measures but you know uh it is still Himalayan region it is highly vulnerable. Therefore we have to take some measures to reduce the severity of the situations or the disasters. So what can be done or what is the way forward? So what we can consider in our policies in the coming days for the better management of Himalayan region. So the first is trilateral disaster mechanism. That means establishing a permanent uh you know uh place or a permanent body uh that includes Nepal, China and Bhutan and other Himalayan states for you know to protect the the Himalayan region. And the next is realtime data sharing that means bringing a standard that is acceptable for all the three countries to so they can share information and intelligence regarding the Himalayan region. And uh the next is joined early warning system. That means like I mentioned the NISAR it is getting delayed. It is developed by NASA and ISRO. So instead of focusing on such larger scale project these three countries can focus on some small scale projects for better management and the uh surveillance of the Himalayan region. Next is joint exercise that is conducting regular search rescue and relief exercise. So that will you know increase the capacity of the rescue team during the time of disaster. And next is climate resilient infrastructure for better you know uh echofriendly uh infrastructure development and the settlement. And next is depoliticize the disaster cooperation. That means do not bring the politics into the disaster management. So this will help us to put aside our ambitions and interest the nation's ambitions and interest when it comes to the disaster management and it will offer a scientific based disaster management cooperation between these three countries. So these are the measures or these are the principles that we can consider uh when we frame a policy for disaster management in the Himalayan region including the Nepal, China and India.
