Video summary
Marshall Lever from Redback Connect introduces the Society & Culture Association NSW as the creator of an educational video designed to guide HSC students through their research projects. The committee members felt inspired to produce this content after experiencing the high-quality facilities and webcasting capabilities offered by Redback, leading them to view the studio environment as a unique and meaningful platform for communication. By utilizing these professional resources, the association aims to craft a compelling story that can be effectively shared with teachers for classroom use and allow students to access valuable online advice on maximizing their project outcomes.
The collaboration between the two organizations is built on a strong relationship that has developed over several years, fostering a supportive and friendly atmosphere during the production process. Marshall describes the experience as a blend of teaching and creative storytelling, noting that while addressing a camera differs from speaking directly to a classroom, the staff at Redback have been incredibly encouraging throughout the sessions. This positive environment not only helped the team navigate the technical aspects of filming but also provided a relaxed space for downtime, exemplified by casual moments like playing pool with Alicia between recording breaks.
Ultimately, the project represents a significant step forward in how the association engages with its client base, offering a modern and accessible way to deliver educational support. The video serves as a practical tool that empowers students with the necessary skills to excel in their HSC research while giving educators high-quality materials to integrate into their teaching strategies. Through this partnership, the Society & Culture Association NSW has successfully leveraged Redback's expertise to create a resource that bridges the gap between professional media production and student education, ensuring that both teachers and learners benefit from clear, actionable guidance.

hello
my name is marshall lever and i'm
working here at redback connect with
the society culture association today
our group of committee members have been
inspired to create
a video to instruct hsc students how to
best do their research projects
and we were really taken with redback
they do a lot of our webcasting of our
big events but we saw their studios and
we thought
this would be a different and meaningful
way to communicate with our
client base with our students and our
teachers to be able to create a story
that we could share that
teachers can use in the classroom
students can log online and
get good advice on how to
do their hsc research project the best
they can
we've had a good relationship with
redback connect for quite a few years
now
and uh really enjoyed today it's kind of
a little bit
a little bit like teaching but a little
bit different and um
talking to a camera it's a little bit
different from talking to a classroom
but uh
staff here have been really supportive
really friendly
i've even had a game of pool with alicia
who's
supporting our project so just in
downtime relaxing between sessions so
