The formidable robot [music] nat. If you've been on the internet for some time like I have, you would have experienced one of the many internet memes and videos on YouTube. Nancat needs no explanation for those who heard about him. But for the few people who don't, Nancat is a video created in 2011 by Chris Taus that exploded on the internet in the early 2010s. Nancat is still around as a memes a day. In fact, it has grown slightly in popularity recently. However, I'm not here to talk about Nion Cat's recent comeback or anything big. I'm going to tell you my experience with a certain website in 2015. How is this related to Nancat in any way? Well, surprisingly, Nion Cat does have a website. It's mainly used for Endless Ning and its various versions of Nion Cat. I loved that site. I could spend all day ning away. However, on a day in June of 2015, something changed. I went onto the site and discovered a new nine cat on the front page. Its body was pale with mold growing on the back end of the pog tart. Its eyes were soulless, leaking black fluid. It was also lacking its smiling mouth and blush, which from its appearance certainly makes sense. I was a little caught off guard by the new nine cat, struggling to find a reason for its appearance. It was in the middle of summer, so there's no way it was an early Halloween variant like the pumpkin mummy and zombie ones. It didn't take long before the audio loaded, playing a playful but disturbing tune that sounded like it was being played on an out of tune piano. Oh, and the background was still the same blue, but with red stars instead of white. I tried to exit the page trying to find somebody else on the pick a flavor list other than this new ny cat. Unfortunately, it didn't go as planned. When I opened up the sidebar, the other nine cats were all distorted. I figured it was just a part of this new Nion Cats page coding, not thinking much of it until I clicked on the Game Boy Nion Cat. Oh, was I very wrong. The page loaded and revealed what was left of the Game Boy Nion Cat, showing a disturbing version of the original page. The cat itself was offcreen. The torso that resembled a Game Boy was left where the Nion cat originally should be. Its green colored rainbow trail died to be a dark red. The background was still blue, although slightly darker. It only took me a moment to process before it seemed to redirect itself back to the moldy nan cat. Weird, isn't it? I tried to go over to other nan cats on the site. However, they all met the same fate. Load showed their corpse. Redirect. Repeat. It was the same pattern just with different deaths. Figured I had enough time on the internet already today. So I tried closing the browser. Nothing happened. No matter. The browser is probably very slow. I thought as I waited a few seconds. The website was still functioning normally. No slowness or freezing whatsoever. Something was wrong. I tried closing the browser multiple times, but it wouldn't let me. The websites kept on running as if everything was completely fine. The backdrop finally turned to a very dark blue, almost black, with the red bursts still present. The music was getting unbearably loud, like it was progressively being bass boosted to oblivion alongside screaming sound effects. The torment continued for around 5 to 10 minutes until it finally closed the browser. Needless to say, I won't be going back there again. Well, it was all fixed when it came back up after the breakdown. Weirdly enough, the incident wasn't recorded on any devices, so I wasn't able to find any footage of the incident. However, I was able to find the gift for the cat and tried recreating the background and the rainbow from memory. Did anyone else experience this? If you did, please feel free to let me know.
