(Creepypasta) Super Mario Bros.: The Red Floppy Disk (by UltraGreasy)
Watch on YouTubeVideo summary
The narrator, a minor known only as Gabriela, recounts how her older brother Enzo and his neighbor's son, Mateo, escalated their annual April prank war from harmless antics into malicious cruelty over the years. Initially indifferent to their rivalry, Gabriela eventually became a victim of increasingly dangerous pranks, such as having bicycle brakes cut or being locked in a basement with false reports of death. Despite her attempts to warn her parents and neighbors, who dismissed the behavior as innocent childhood fun, the situation deteriorated until she finally intervened by sabotaging Mateo's thumbtack prank during a family dinner. Although this temporarily stopped the pranks and grounded Enzo, Gabriela sensed that Enzo was still plotting something sinister behind his forced apology.
Following Mateo's hospitalization for a seizure, Enzo began acting suspiciously, isolating himself while claiming to conduct "research." He eventually gave Gabriela a floppy disk containing a corrupted recreation of *Super Mario Bros.*, instructing her to give it to Mateo as a gift. Upon extracting the file using an old computer adapter, Gabriela discovered a glitched game with poor physics, lagging graphics, and disturbing imagery, including a floating head resembling a young boy and a grotesque, bleeding version of Mario. As she played through the levels, the game froze and displayed a countdown on Mario's hands, which increased from four to eight fingers while accompanied by hysterical laughter and static noise, leaving Gabriela terrified before she unplugged her computer to escape the horror.
After confronting Enzo via phone call, he admitted to creating the prank but claimed it was merely intended to scare Mateo into seeking medical help again rather than to harm him. He further threatened that if anything happened to Mateo, Gabriela would be held responsible because her fingerprints were on the disk while his were not due to wearing gloves. Realizing that Enzo had weaponized Mateo's epilepsy and set a trap designed to frame her, Gabriela decided against destroying the evidence. Instead, she called the police to report the crime, leading to the confiscation of the floppy disk as evidence and the neighbors' decision to press charges against Enzo.
The story concludes with Enzo facing trial for his actions, which transformed a simple prank war into a serious criminal case involving the endangerment of a child with a medical condition. While Gabriela expresses relief that justice is being served and hopes Enzo will be sent to prison, she also notes that Mateo was not entirely innocent given his own history of cruel pranks. The narrator emphasizes that this traumatic event has left her with lingering questions about the origin of the disturbing images on the disk and what might have happened after the game's countdown ended, but she remains determined to let the legal process unfold without further interference from curious internet users.

The formidable robot.
[music]
Greetings everyone. Gosh, where do I
even begin with this? So recently, my
family and I were made aware by the
authorities that my older brother has an
account on this place called Reddit. I'm
guessing he wanted to keep it a secret
because he never mentioned it to me or
anyone else in my family. The account
I'm referring to is Enzo the Titan 586.
I'm not exactly sure what he even posts
there, but honestly, I couldn't care
less as that's not [music] the reason
I'm making this post. The reason I'm
making this post is that I saw that he
apparently hasn't made a post in over
[music] 3 weeks and a lot of people on
here are worried and wondering if he's
okay. So, since apparently no one else
has informed you guys yet, I decided to
make an account and be the one to do so
myself. To put it as matterofactly
[music] as possible, he's in jail. And
if there's any justice, it's eventually
going to be prison. I'm the one to blame
for it. And honestly, I don't feel bad
at all. He and his inflated ego were
leading him down a dark path that would
cause years worth of misery and regret
for himself later down the line and for
everyone else, especially my neighbors.
[music] And I felt I had to do what was
necessary to prevent that from ever
happening, especially since another
person's [music] life was also going to
be at stake. So why do I say all this?
[music] Well, I'll start from the
beginning and try to make it quick. As
I'm sure many of you just want to know
what happened already. My name is
Gabriela. Of course, that's [music] not
my real name. I wouldn't be dummy enough
to state my actual one as a minor to
strangers on the internet. [music] So,
that's why you can call me. For a while
now, my older brother Enzo and the
neighbor's kid, who I'll refer to as
[music] Mateo, have made it a personal
tradition of theirs where throughout the
whole month of April, they have a prank
war. I'm not sure who started it or how
far back it even began, but they seem
stubborn about one uping the other
whenever the time comes around. I'll be
the first to admit that I personally
never cared for it. [music] Not to sound
boring, but I'm not a huge fan of pranks
myself. I always found them to be dumb
and immature. [music] How they even
managed to keep up with that nonsense
for so long is still beyond me to this
day, [music] but it wasn't hurting
anybody, and I saw they were having a
lot of fun doing it, so [music] I just
kept my mouth shut and minded my own
business. I could let it slide at first.
Just [music] two boys doing something as
silly and dumb as a prank war. That was
until their pranks in question slowly
[music] started to become more malicious
over the years. Before they were mostly
just petty yet harmless pranks, but
recently [music] they have been nothing
short of mean-spirited and cruel. And as
if that wasn't bad [music] enough, I've
even been getting caught in the
crosshairs of some of those pranks
myself. Just to name a few, Enzo once
pranked Mateo by cutting the brakes off
his bicycle, which made him fall off and
break his ankle on the way to school.
Mateo once pranked Enzo by stealing his
phone during class and sending [music]
an inappropriate video to a teacher's
email, which almost got him expelled.
And [music] Enzo would get Mateo back by
taking his pet Kevin and locking her
behind a fence with the other neighbors
dog, which [music] thankfully didn't end
as badly as it could have. And Mateo's
idea of revenge for that was inviting me
over to his house, locking me in [music]
the basement, and then calling him and
telling him that I had been hit by a
truck and died. I'm not joking. [music]
I have countless more examples of these,
each worse than the last. But I hope you
get the point by now. Having to deal
with [music] and be the subject of these
pranks every year was mentally
exhausting. Sometimes I found myself
genuinely wishing they went back to how
they did things before or just never
even started their stupid prank war to
begin with. Though I wished the latter
more, if anything, it was always stupid.
But at least people weren't getting
harmed or being forcefully victimized in
anything they did. I always wondered why
they even started all this in the first
place. [music]
Was it to prove some point? Was it
boredom? Was it to see who was better
than the other? Either [music] way,
given how out of hand this has gotten,
they must have completely forgotten
themselves. As soon as [music] Enzo did
that prank with the Kevin, I knew I
couldn't let this go on any longer. So,
I finally informed both mine and Mateo's
[music] parents about everything. But
unsurprisingly, they ended up being no
help whatsoever. Both my parents and the
neighbors were aware of Enzo and Mateo's
prank war, but they somehow thought it
was just innocent fun between the two.
Have they not seen what they've been
doing recently? They also accused me of
lying about the pranks they did. And
then I got the same lecture for the
hundth time [music] from my parents
about letting my brother have fun
because he was a kid and that people
aren't young forever [music] and they
could spend their time as a kid however
they want. Even if I didn't like it or
whatever. [music] That's the thing. They
always babyed Enzo and treated him like
some child regardless of what he did. I
never understood it. But [music] after
that, I just gave up and let the
harmless angels have their so-called
fun. Looking back, that might [music]
have been really selfish and ignorant of
me. I knew that those two were actively
putting each other and other people in
danger, and I was the only one who knew
enough about it to stop [music] him.
Yet, I already tried to tell my trusted
adults about it, [music] and they didn't
even care. So, what else could I do at
the time? It wasn't until this year when
my family invited the neighbors over for
dinner and my dad went to the bathroom
and cocked Mateo blowing thumbtacks to
the toilet [music] seat that their
pranking days finally came to an end.
And yeah, it went exactly how you'd
imagine. My parents and the neighbors
were absolutely livid, [music] but
honestly not as much as they should have
been. They even got the dimwits to fess
up about almost every [music] horrible
prank they've been doing up until now,
including some I hadn't even mentioned
to them before. After [music] they got
bered for what felt like an hour and
then half-heartedly apologized to each
other, [music] both of them got grounded
and Mateo and his parents went home
early. [music] Although I still got
scolded as well for not telling anyone
about what was going on, which [music]
obviously wasn't true, but I didn't
care. I was just glad it was all finally
over. And that day was probably the
happiest I felt in April in a long time.
Before the neighbors left, my parents
made Enzo and Mateo promised to end
their obnoxious prank war for good.
Mateo reluctantly agreed, and so did
Enzo. But I could tell by the subtle,
angry look on my brother's face that
this was far from over. The next few
days after that [music] were unusually
peaceful and quiet for the most part,
but my suspicions were as high as ever
now. [music] I knew Enzo was planning
something, but I just couldn't figure
out what it was yet or what was taking
him so long to do it. Maybe he knew I
was watching him and wanted to wait
until my suspicions lowered to pull off
his next [music] prank. But they only
got higher as the days went by. And
anytime I got the chance to ask him
about it, he'd play dumb and act like he
had no idea what I was talking about.
But I continued to keep my eye on him.
Around a week later, my family and I got
some terrible news from the neighbors.
[music] Mateo was in the hospital
because of a seizure he suffered. This
news was definitely a surprise to Enzo
and me as we both never knew Mateo had
epilepsy. Our parents must have known
because they didn't seem too shocked
when they heard about it. My parents and
I [music] went to visit him in the
hospital and Enzo came along too, even
though he was supposed to be grounded
and didn't even want to go, but they
forced him to anyway. When we got to the
hospital room, I could hardly bear
seeing him the way I did, lying on a
deathbed, [music] shaking and struggling
to breathe. I know I've spoken ill of
him a lot so far and his pranks, [music]
but I hated seeing him like that. He
made a lot of bad decisions, yes, but no
one deserves to go through anything like
that. I didn't know what to [music] say,
so I sort of just sat there for a while
staring at him while trying to find the
[music] words to express my sympathy to
his parents, who, just like me, stood
[music] there and didn't say anything
for a while. Eventually, I left the room
while my parents stayed behind. I felt
terrible and helpless at that [music]
moment, thinking that I could have said
anything, but I had never been in a
situation like that before in my whole
life, and I didn't know what to do.
[music] When I got to the hallway, I saw
Enzone talking with someone, a doctor.
He seemed [music] really amused and
interested in whatever they were talking
about, while the doctor just looked
increasingly upset as their conversation
went on. I couldn't hear what they were
talking about, but the [music] whole
scene felt off-putting to me, and I was
going to ask him about it later. I
wasn't in the mood [music] to confront
him right now. The drive back home was
more silent than it had [music] been at
the hospital, if that was even possible.
I sat there lost in thought. The radio
was off, and the rain outside was just
beginning to set [music] in. A quiet
atmosphere like this for me was usually
rare, and I could have appreciated it if
not for what I just got back from. My
mind was racing in all different
directions at that moment, and [music] I
couldn't help but fear the worst, even
though I knew he would be okay. I didn't
know much about seizures, but I knew
they could be extremely deadly.
Desperate to focus on something else, I
looked towards Enzo, who I just now
noticed had been grinning as wide as a
watermelon since we left the hospital.
Did he find all this funny? Maybe I
shouldn't have immediately assumed that,
but I was getting to a point in my life
where I expected nothing more from him.
Then I remembered that [music]
conversation he had with the doctor
before we left. Unable to contain my
curiosity any longer and desperate to
break the silence, I [music] finally
asked him,
>> "What the hell are you so happy about?"
I didn't mean for [music] it to come out
that rudely or to swear at him. But if
he was hiding something from me or
coming up with another dumb idea of his,
I wasn't up for it. [music] He
eventually turned to me and said,
>> "Nothing. It's just one of the doctors
told me some pretty interesting [music]
things about epilepsy, and soon I might
find some use for it."
>> He probably said more, but I went back
to my own thoughts after that. I didn't
even try to understand what he meant by
that at the time. Looking back on it,
maybe I should have. When we got back to
the house, the neighbors called my
parents an hour later and told them that
Mateo was doing fine and they were
taking him home now, much to my relief.
But that relief didn't last long. The
next few days after that, Enzo was
acting more suspicious than ever. He and
Mateo officially got ungrounded after a
while, and he spent most of that time
locked in his room or visiting Mateo's
house to, in his words, do some
research. I didn't know why he was doing
either of that stuff. I figured once he
got ungrounded, he would be outside with
his friends or something, not staying in
his room or nosing around the house of
someone he clearly showed no respect
for. Something strange was definitely
going on. But on one fateful night, I
would begin to understand everything in
the worst way possible. Our parents had
to leave for the night, and they left
Enzo in charge of me. He was merily
typing away on his phone in the living
room while I sat at the kitchen table
hungry. [music] Truth be told, he was an
awful babysitter. For only the 2 hours
they'd been gone, he was acting like I
was completely invisible and hadn't made
any dinner like he was supposed to. He
would occasionally laugh for no reason
to, which only made me more annoyed. I
was going to say something before he
suddenly got up from the couch and put
some disposable gloves on from the
kitchen cabinet and walked back to his
room. I heard him rumaging around in it
for a bit before he came back with
something and held it out to me. A disc.
>> "Next time you see Mateo, give this to
him," [music]
>> he said, and then he handed it to me. I
took it, but a ton of questions began to
stir in my mind. One thing I immediately
asked him was what was on it. He only
replied,
>> "Don't worry about it. It's just a small
gift I made for him."
>> And he went for the door knob. I
remember asking him where he was going
this time of night, and he quickly said
he was heading over to a friend's house.
I had a feeling he was lying, but before
I could press him any further, he was
gone. "Wonderful," I thought to myself.
Now I'm home all by myself. I directed
my attention back to the disc. The
question remained, what was on it? And
why did he want me specifically to give
it to Mateo? This had to have been
another one of his dumb pranks in
disguise since our parents forced him to
call it off. I knew he wouldn't have
given up the prank that easily. His
ignorance would never allow that. Though
given how weird he had been acting since
the day we saw Mateo in the hospital,
his [music] research, him isolating
himself in his room all week long, I had
a bad feeling about all of it. If I was
going to be the one to give the disc to
Mateo, then I at least wanted to see
what was on it first. I didn't care what
Enzo would think of that. When I took it
back to my room, I ran into an issue.
Obviously, no one made this gift
anymore, so my modern PC didn't have any
support for it. It made me wonder how he
even got one or why he decided to put
the gift on it. I knew the neighbors had
a very old computer in their attic that
they never got rid of, and it could
probably support that. I guess Enzo
meant the gift to be for that, but who
knew if it even still worked. Knowing
him, he could have also put it on there
because he knew I wouldn't be able to
view the contents of it that way.
Unfortunately for him though, our dad
actually bought a floppy to USB adapter
a few months ago for work that was kept
in the master bedroom. It didn't take
long to find it. Once I got back into my
room, I was starting to debate whether
this was a good idea or not. What if
Enenzo actually had turned over a new
leaf and just wanted to do something
nice for once and I was snooping for no
reason. But for better or worse, I'm
glad I did because who knows where I'd
be right now if I didn't. I finally
plugged it into my computer's USB port,
but not before setting up a virtual
machine just in case there were viruses
or anything illegal on it. I had no idea
what I was getting myself into. So, I
took as much precaution as I could. It
took a lot less time to extract than
expected. At last, I clicked to view the
contents of the discit. All it showed
was a single folder named something that
looked like complete gibberish. At
first, I thought it could have been Pig
Ladden or Caesar Cipher, but I didn't
think Enzo would be smart enough to know
how to encode text, so I'm calling it
gibberish for now. Inside the folder was
a file simply called Super Mario
Brothers.exe.
I noticed the file name was misspelled,
but I didn't pay much attention to it at
first. I opened the file but then an
error message appeared saying the file
couldn't be found or something like
that. I tried correcting the spelling
mistake in the file by changing brush to
bros and that seemed to work. The file
was able to be opened after that. I
suddenly remembered that Mateo was
actually a huge Mario fan which sort of
pacified me and I thought maybe Enzone
did really change and wanted to give him
something related to the red plumber as
a gift. I'm not too crazy about video
games myself, and I didn't know much
about them, but it would have been
really sweet of him had he done that. I
was more wrong than I could have
prepared myself to be. When the file
finally opened, it went to black before
a yellow loading bar suddenly appeared
in the middle of the screen. It's a
game, I thought to myself, not being too
sure how to feel at this point. I waited
for the bar to finish and it eventually
showed the usual vibrant 16-bit [music]
scenery of the Super Mario Brothers NES
game. The NDES and its games were 8bit
though. The game logo was visible above
in a brown border with Mario sitting
idle on the ground. Right where it
usually said 1985 Nintendo was now just
more gibberish like the folder. The
usual menu options like one player game
and whatnot were missing and it only
said press enter. So, I did exactly
that. What followed next was level one
one from the original game. I only
recognized it because I used to watch
Enzo play the original Mario game all
the time on this thing called an
emulator when I was younger, but it was
a lot different than how I remembered
it. The graphics were more saturated and
high contrast, which almost made the
game hurt to look at as I was sitting in
the dark while playing it. The physics
felt very choppy and sluggish, and the
audio and sound effects sounded loud,
get crushed, and off key, which even as
someone who doesn't play video games,
made for a pretty awful gameplay
experience. Had he made it this terrible
on purpose, or was this a result of
reducing the quality so it could fit on
the discit? I didn't know much about
video games, but I knew Super Mario
Brothers probably wouldn't take up that
much space on a discit for that to even
be necessary. It took me a long while to
figure out the controls. They were A and
D to move left and right, space bar to
jump, S to crouch, F to shoot fireballs,
and shift to run. Pretty simple, but I
got them mixed up and died a few times.
[music] One thing I noticed while
playing is that whenever I destroyed any
enemy, they would completely stop moving
and just stand there for a few seconds
before spilling out a bunch of blue
circles and then disappearing. It was
pretty annoying as it caused the game to
lag every time it happened. Even more so
if multiple enemies were doing that on
screen at once. I knew it wasn't a
glitch and it was added there on
purpose. Why? It only made the game with
bad physics even more difficult. Halfway
through, I was almost starting to
believe that this joke of a game was a
prank in end of itself. It took me
probably 30 plus minutes to complete the
first level alone. It wasn't even that
hard. But the aforementioned physics
[music] and lag threw me off more times
than I'd like to admit. I finally got to
level one, too. However, instead of the
level name being displayed at the
beginning like it usually was, it was
replaced with more gibberish. This time,
it was typed out so much that some of it
got cut off. Once the level started, I
slowly began to notice a picture in the
background that became less translucent
as I progressed through it. And once I
was about to reach the pike that led to
the flag pole, it fully revealed itself.
The image was a floating head of a young
boy, probably no older than six. I
couldn't make out the exact details as
the image was compressed pretty badly,
but it appeared to be photorealistic and
possibly edited. The boy to me looked to
be pupilless and filming at the mouth
and had on Mario's head and mustache. It
was pretty disturbing to say the least.
It reminded me of a story the neighbors
told my family and me a day after
Mateo's seizure about how he first had
one when out trick-or-treating as Mario
when he was younger and that's how they
all first found out about his epilepsy.
Apparently nothing like that [music]
happened again for years until the
recent incident. Is that why this was in
the game? It was at this point that I
was starting to remember a question of
mine that had been building up the
entire time I was playing. [music] Where
did Enzo get this game from? Not
everything was entirely accurate, so it
[music] was clearly a recreation of
sorts, but he also couldn't have made it
himself as he was no programmer. One
thing [music] I knew for sure was that
the image was definitely his doing in
some way. For a gift, that [music] would
be pretty insensitive. I still kick
myself to this day, forever beginning to
think it [music] really was that. When I
went into the pipe, the music stopped
and the screen suddenly froze. the UI,
the ground, and everything else vanished
completely in one second, [music] save
for my player and the image in the
background. I heard a low beeping sound
that [music] slowly got louder as that
image started to grow bigger behind me.
I tried to move or [music] run, but my
player was stuck in place. The screen
gradually filled with static, and I
eventually saw a bright white and red
flash flicker over the screen, [music]
and everything went black. It was harsh
and made my eyes sting a lot when I
first saw it. And the fact that I had
glasses on at the time only made it
worse. By this point, [music] I wanted
to close the game, but I figured I was
too far in to tap out now. I only stared
[music] at the empty screen in dismay
whilst wondering if Enzo had truly lost
it. Now, what was this? Suddenly, it
[music] did a hard cut to another
compressed image. This time it was a
head shot of Mario edited in gross and
[music] excessive detail like something
you'd see in those close-up scenes in
Spongebob Squarepants or Ren [music] and
Stimpy. This time I was unfortunately
able to make out more of what he looked
like. [music]
His mustache was gone and his nose was
more human- shaped instead of being
round and it was leaking out [music]
tons of blood from the nostrils. The
space where his eyes were meant to be
was now replaced with what looked like
two enormous [music] scabs that barely
even resembled eyes. And he had a giant
grin that took up nearly most of his
face, showing [music] disgusting green
and black teeth. As if that horrific
display wasn't bad enough, it was
accompanied by the sounds of a male
hysterically laughing loudly, which
slowly dissolved into balling over time.
The [laughter] screen violently jittered
up and down, and I saw some text briefly
flash by. It went by too fast for me to
fully read it, but I only cked the words
you get. And after that, it was then
followed by more text slowly flooding
the screen that said lol until the
entire screen was filled and it went to
black again. I took that [music] moment
to try to process everything I saw up
until now. The bad physics, the edited
images, and the gibberish that I kept
seeing, it was all starting to make
sense now. This really [music] was a
prank. It was just as vile and
abominable enough to be one of his. That
was the only logical explanation for
everything I'd seen [music] so far.
Can't say I was too surprised as I
suspected that even before I ran the
game, but I still felt [music] stupid
for ever starting to believe otherwise.
It was like I had become a victim of one
of their pranks yet [music] again.
Except this time around, it was on me
for stepping in the crosshair when I
wasn't meant [music] to. Suddenly, the
Mario from before reappeared on my
screen. This time, he was a little
further from [music] the camera, so I
was able to see his full body. Both of
his arms were [music] tucked behind his
back, and his chest moved up and down as
if breathing. I heard absolutely no
sound during [music] this, which only
made it more unsettling. I really didn't
want to have to [music] look at that
again, so I quickly looked down from my
screen. However, I began noticing a
weird stretching noise coming out of my
computer speakers every few seconds or
so and [music] hesitantly looked back
up. I then saw him holding his gloves
out. They had five fingers on each hand
instead of four. Do the thumbs count?
After each of those few seconds I
mentioned, he would put one finger down.
He seemed to be counting down with his
hands, [music]
and he already had four fingers down by
the time I looked back up. What was he
counting down to? All of a sudden, I
felt a horrible knot in my stomach so
excruciating I could have puked. My
palms furiously sweated and breathing
[music] became difficult. I had the most
horrid gut-wrenching feeling unlike
anything I'd ever felt before [music]
that something awful was about to
happen. Whatever it was, I didn't want
to stick around and find out. Mario was
now down at Five Fingers. I looked
around, desperate for anything I could
hide under. Now it was six fingers. With
all the strength I could muster, I threw
myself onto the ground, my chair going
down with me, and I struggled to breathe
for a moment after I fell. Now it was
seven fingers, eight [music] fingers. I
quickly crawled underneath my bed and
shut my eyes as hard as I could, as if I
were in a nightmare. I was far away from
my computer now, but I could still hear
it. Suddenly, everything went fully
silent. I opened my eyes again, but I
couldn't see anything. The countdown was
over. I heard a violent snap and
something being peeled off like a
sticker. And then that giious male
laughter from before, but this time it
was reverberated and bass boosted so
much to the point of being loud,
unintelligible noise. I quickly closed
my eyes again and covered my ears as
hard as possible, but only the former
made any real difference. The whole
ordeal felt like it went on longer than
it should have. I wanted to cry, but I
physically couldn't. My head was
beginning to hurt from clenching it.
Eventually, I decided I had enough. I
crawled back out of my bed and reached
for my computer's plug and took it out.
I did the same with the adapter and then
threw it across the room as hard as I
could. The torment had ended. I was
still shaking pretty badly and my
headache only got worse by the time I
stood up. I lay back down flat on my bed
and sat there in the dark for what felt
like some time. relieved, but still
physically and emotionally in pain from
what I just went through. I eventually
got back up and turned the lights on in
my room and everywhere else in the
house. I didn't feel safe being in the
dark anymore. After going into the
kitchen and pouring a glass of water to
help with the headache, I went to the
living room and got out my phone.
[music] I decided that before I did
anything else, I was going to talk to
Enzo. I wanted answers for everything I
had seen in that game. And most of all,
I wanted to berate him for being sick
enough in the head to create it in the
first place. I looked him up on find my
location and saw that he was at an
address I didn't recognize on the other
side of town near a forest. I was
confused, but I tried calling him anyway
to see if he'd answer. After the third
time, he finally picked up. I didn't
even wait for a hello. I immediately let
him have it. I screamed at him and
insulted him in one long angry rant with
words that I didn't even know were in my
vocabulary. I said a lot of horrible
things, including that I wish he wasn't
related to me. But I had that anger
built up in me for some time now, and I
couldn't suppress it anymore. Once I was
done, he was completely baffled and
asked what my problem was. So, I told
him everything about how I took the disc
and played the game on it. I was
expecting him to laugh at me and say
that's what I got for playing it to
begin with, but now he was only more
confused and questioned why and how I
did that and said that I wasn't even
meant to play it in the first place. I
ignored his questions and told him about
the edited images of Mario and that
other young boy who, now that I
remember, could have possibly just been
a real picture of Mateo as a child. And
finally, I asked him if the gift was a
prank or not. Regardless of what he
said, I knew what the real answer was,
but I wanted to see if he'd lie to me or
not. Surprisingly, he was very upfront
about it and wasted no time admitting
that it was. But then he had the nerve
to make me promise not to tell Mateo or
anyone else about what was on the disc
until I actually gave it to him. Was he
serious? I obviously said I wouldn't.
After everything I just saw on there,
there was no way I was going to give
that to Mateo, especially since I now
had 100% confirmation that it was in
fact another prank of [music] his. Then
he made a snide remark about how I was
always doing things I had no business
doing and that I almost ruined the
entire prank. [music] That first part
was Rich coming from him, but I kept
quiet to avoid saying something I might
regret later. After that, he told me he
was coming back home shortly, which was
no good news to me. I didn't want to be
anywhere near him at that moment.
Suddenly, I remembered something during
the countdown of that game. When I
briefly opened my eyes again to find the
plug, I saw a bright flash of light
through my computer screen. No, it
couldn't be. Was there supposed to be
flashing lights on screen after that
countdown ended? Once I pieced it all
together, my earlier rage turned into
pure dread. I must have been quiet for a
long time because he was starting to ask
if I was still on the phone. Finally, I
hesitantly asked him what happened at
the end of the countdown. I was
expecting another honest answer like
before, but this time he just stood
there and didn't answer. I then repeated
the question, but there was still
nothing. So, I asked again, but this
time I nearly yelled at him. I was
starting to get scared because I thought
he put some gory image in or something,
but I couldn't prepare myself for what
he said next. Finally, he said there
were flashing lights after it ended. But
the way he said it made it seem like
there was more to it than that. I almost
dropped my phone to the ground. I
couldn't believe what I was hearing. Was
this really what their prank war had
come to? I knew their pranks were only
starting to get worse over time, but I
didn't think it would ever get to this
point. [music] Of course, they were
harmful before, but it always boiled
down to them just being mindless and
reckless. But this was a whole other
level of cruel. This wasn't even a prank
[music] anymore. This was just blatantly
ridiculing someone with a condition they
didn't ask to be born with and
weaponizing it to your own advantage.
all for some stupid prank war [music]
that at the end of the day didn't even
matter. Not only that, if he ever
received that discip and played what was
on it, he would be in danger. Enzo
clearly never thought this whole prank
through. Once I finally got over my
initial shock, I went off on him again
and told him something that he needed to
hear, that his and Mateo's pranks
[music] aren't funny and that they put
real people in danger. I told him how
insensitive and disgusting this prank
was and that if Mateo actually received
that game and played it, he could have
been hospitalized or killed. I didn't
even want to think about that, but if I
was going to illustrate my point, he
needed to understand that. He then
scornfully responded by saying that his
intention wasn't to kill Mateo, but to
at worst scare him or get him sent to
the ER again to, in his words, teach him
a lesson or two. Unbelievable. I almost
didn't regret saying I wish I wasn't
related to him earlier. I told him it
didn't matter what his intention was and
that either way he could still go to
prison for giving it to him. He only
scoffed and then told me that if anyone
would be going to prison, it would be
me. Apparently, he never touched the
disc without gloves, so his fingerprints
weren't on it, but mine were. And he
left nothing in the game that would lead
anyone to believe he was behind it.
Basically, he was saying that if
anything happened to Mateo or his family
because of his prank that I'd most
likely take fault for it instead. I
guess he thought the whole prank through
after all. Once I realized that my
headache was starting to come back on. I
knew he was right, but I didn't want to
admit it. Instead, I just shrieked at
him and told him to go to hell before
hanging up the call. I know that was
probably extremely childish of me, but
at the time I was in such an
overwhelming and sudden state of terror
that I wasn't thinking straight. The
last place I ever wanted to go was
prison. Out of panic, I rushed back into
my room to look for the discit. It was
still inside the adapter and on the
floor from me throwing it earlier, but
it didn't have as little as a scratch on
it. I was going to change that. I slowly
removed it from the adapter and I was
planning to destroy it by any means
necessary. I was not getting arrested,
especially over one of Enzo's stupid
little pranks. But suddenly, I had a
different thought. No, I wasn't going to
destroy it. If I did, I would only be
getting rid of the proof and letting
Enzo get away with what he was trying to
do. And I was tired of letting him do
that. I decided that today it was time
for him to finally face real
repercussions for his actions. So I got
out my phone again and called not my
parents, not my neighbors, but the
police. What he was doing was a serious
crime, and he clearly intended for me to
take full blame for it. I was going to
have to set the record straight later,
but for now, I only informed them about
Enzo's prank and hoped that if my
parents somehow got involved in all this
that they would tell them about the
other pranks that Enzo and Mateo had
done as well. I'll spare you the rest of
what happened days after that, as it was
basically long, boring legal stuff that
I'm sure none of you care for. But in
short, me, my parents, and the neighbors
were eventually interviewed about Enzo
and the disc. Speaking of the biscuit,
it's since been confiscated by the
authorities as evidence, and they are
currently going over the contents of it
to confirm my story. I was more than
glad to see it go. In addition, the
police asked my neighbors if they wanted
to press charges against Enzo, and once
they heard about everything going on,
they said yes without any hesitation. My
parents didn't take it personally,
though, and even said that it was the
only way he could learn his lesson. And
for once, I agreed with them. So yeah,
that's how Enzo ended up in jail. He has
a trial coming up soon, which I have to
attend as a witness, and it's going to
determine if they send him to prison or
[music] not. I honestly hope they do
because what he tried to do still
disgusts me to this [music] day. And to
think this all started from a prank war.
Also, I want to make it clear that even
though what Enzone did was beyond messed
up, Mateo still isn't any [music]
better, as he too did some pretty
terrible pranks that he should also
probably be tried [music] for. But
hopefully, this finally makes him
realize how far this has all gotten.
Moreover, I plan for this to be the only
post I ever make on this Reddit. So,
please don't try to ask me any further
questions or pester anyone involved in
all this, as I might have said too much
already at this [music] point. There are
still a hundred questions buzzing in my
mind to this day about that disc. Where
did those strange images come from? How
did he get a disc in the first place?
Did he make that game or did he get
someone else too? Did something more
happen after the countdown? And was the
text I kept seeing really gibberish or
did it actually mean something? [music]
Hopefully, it will all be answered at
the upcoming trial. I'm frankly nervous
about it as I've never been in a real
court's house before. But in the
meantime, I hope that explains
everything. [music] If you read this
far, thanks for taking the time to hear
everything. I haven't talked about it
with anyone since it all happened, and
it was good to finally get it off my
chest. This is Gabriela signing out.
Heat. Heat.
