2016, that's when everything went to
[ __ ] Not only for internet culture as a
whole outside of the circles you're
probably reading this post in, but for
our relationship with our friend Nick
Kedi Cat 93. I will be referring to them
as Nick just for brevity. They were one
of my friends who used a sloppily
recolored to red Crusty J Peg the Kitty
Cats from a Nick Tunes bumper from 2005
on their accounts at the time. I met
them on Roblox in 2013 when I was 11
alongside Agent Princess Twilight. I
haven't kept in contact with any of
these people as my life has drifted away
from this sort of thing, but recently
I've returned to the logo community as
people call it now. I didn't know it at
the time, but as you can probably guess
by the 93 in their name, they are about
a decade older than I or Agent who was
eight at the time. Before anything is
commented below, no, Nick was not a
predator nor did they have a cult of
logo editors making and uploading videos
to their channel. They just had hundreds
of custom presets and way too much free
time for someone their age. I checked
the logo editing wiki for some of their
effects and it seems you guys have
already erased their contributions or
changed who actually created the effect.
I'll give you a hint if you intend on
locating or guessing which ones were
Nick's. They started editing in 2008 and
really liked changing the colors to red.
I think they were also one of the very
first people to use the short scan Vegas
project file or veg for short. I
remember them sending it to us via our
Skype group. Our whole friend group was
comprised of me, Block Boy 99 who was a
major object show fan and lived a few
towns away from Nick, Agent Princess
Twilight, who from their name you can
guess what they enjoyed, was one of the
most active editors besides Nick,
Frosted Ice Warrior, who focused on
building and mostly played a game called
After the Flash on Roblox, and of
course, Nick Harry Cat 93. Outside of
making edits and the rare Skype call
hosted by Nick, watching something like
Windows errors or green phantom, we
mostly played on Roblox on our PBS. It
was, of course, hosted by Nick and named
Kitty Town, creative I know, and plagued
with crappy bright colored houses,
Microsoft Paint made textures, and all
of our special interests. I still have
my house from that era, which is filled
with decals of My Little Pony object
shows, various logos, and MS Paint
[music] furniture. Nick's house wasn't
that notable other than the fact that
there were odd edits of their Kitty Cat
in situations, like shooting a gun at a
firing range, swimming in a foggy lake,

>> or one where they were being humped by a
base dog. Most of the time, when we
would play our game, it would just be us
building or talking about what we did
that day. The bothersome behavior you
got when playing with Nick was the fact
that they had the luger gear that would
slow you down or make you drop your gun.
They loved that stupid [ __ ] [music]
thing so much they had it equipped on
their profiles Roblox scene. Whenever
you got into an argument with him in
game, they would start shooting you.
They would say it was a joke after the
fact, but they would calm down after
killing our character. It got so rampant
at some points that we would just stay
still at the spawn points and let him
vent out. We jokingly called it a snack
break. Looking back at the situation, I
wonder if it was some odd coping
mechanism they developed over time. They
were a very immature person, what I
retrospectively would expect for the
whole adult in the logo community sort
of thing, but seeing some of the people
I was once in the sphere of influence of
still being around in the community, I
probably could have done without saying
that. They were someone who had a
fixation [music] on three major things:
editing, logos, and World War II
history. They often combined all these
things in their edits. It wasn't odd to
see wartime reenactment footage or title
cards from World War II training films
[music] spliced in their compilations of
logo variants. We often got into fights
over how appropriate it was to use that
kind of material in logo edits, but
otherwise it was just a weird quirk of
theirs. In the summer of 2016, our
friend Block Boy 99 got his driver's
license and planned to visit Nick
Kerrigan Cat 93 [music] so they could
play Roblox in person on their laptops.
A lot of us were starting to wind down
on making edits by this point in time,
and Frosted Ice Warrior had recently
left our friend group due to being
promoted in one of the ATF war groups,
becoming one of the events ghosts as a
new ATF game had recently been released.

In the months leading up to Block Boy
visiting Nick, both B and A started
changing our content creation to focus
on YouTube Poops, or YTPs for short,
instead of logo variants.

>> This was the era of cringe culture,
Filthy Frank, Super Mario Logan, and
disregarding everything you liked as
cringe while doing it. Still,
ironically, we were scared by some
anti-troll group that was just after
people they saw as cringe, which
included some of our former friends who
had been harassed off the internet. The
day came for Block Boy's visit, and when
he arrived at Nick's home, he told us
that Nick lived [music] in a small shack
that was behind their parents' house,
which honestly explained a lot about how
they got away with their behavior.

>> The next part I deeply regret, and I do
accept that I have to take
responsibility for how I acted, but I do
not take responsibility for what [music]
Nick did afterwards or what has happened
in the years since. The four of us got
on a call and started [music] to play
Kitty Town, talking about our day and
what we planned to do. We eventually got
to the topic about edits, and Nick asked
me and Agent why we had slowed down on
making [music] edits and started to
focus on YTPs. Agent knew my answer and
tried to dance around the [music] issue
and said how school was getting in her
way, and she wanted to try doing more
advanced edits. I regret saying this,
but I said that I thought making logo
edits was extremely childish, and
weren't they [music] a bit too old to
still be making logo edits? Nick started
to yell in the call about how it was
fine for him to be in the logo
community, and we were going against
what made us friends in the first place.
Their yelling had been a constant thing
that's kept happening over and over, and
we did not have the patience anymore to
deal with it. Agent and I left with
Block Boy staying on the call. After a
few hours, Block Boy sent a message
saying he was able to calm Nick down,

>> and we thought that things would just go
back to normal after that. A few days
after Block Boy drove back home, Nick
uploaded a video to their channel
called, all capital letters, "My Last
Effect Ever." [music]
The description told about how Agent and
I were the worst members of the logo
community, and [music] the only person
they had left was Block Boy. It was
filled with spelling errors and was
typed [music] as if they were holding
the shift key with a few words
non-capitalized. It started with the
classic Pooh logo rippling like water
across the screen, the whole thing in a
not curly effect that showed up bright
red with crimson replacing the darker
colors. The audio was put in G major and
made to sound as if it came out of an
old unfocused radio. Its colors pulsated
[music] from that to the opposite, the
bright sections becoming crimson to the
fresh blood red back to crimson once
again. It had a hard cut to Kitty
[music] Cats bumpers with the same
effect applied, but something was fading
in the background. It only became clear
what it [music] was as the warped alien
sounding music started to become audible
in the background. To this point, Nick
had not displayed anything like this in
any of their video. An actual corpse. I
tried to convince myself that it wasn't
that, but I could see its empty eye
sockets. Its appearance looked
disheveled, like it's had gone through a
fist fight, or at least that's what I
thought I saw. The whole red coloration
made it hard to see details, which I
thank God that 600 did. The body
twitched [music] and moved from impact
behind the dancing CGI cat. Bullet holes
were put in its lifeless body. Agent and
I [music] spread the message throughout
the community that Nick had gone too far
and had uploaded a video with actual war
footage in it. A lot of the community at
the time silently went along with us
flagging the video, which led to both
the video and their channel being
deleted. I stumbled back into the logo
community after seeing a retrospective
video about it on YouTube. Curious, I
looked for Nick's old channel, and there
were only a few archive channels. Most
of them lacking the context of
everything. Our Roblox town, the effects
we made, not even any mentions of the
last video. I guess everyone just wanted
to forget about Nick and everything. I
wish I still didn't remember. I know for
some [music] people, I even posting this
probably brings back bad memories from a
decade ago. God knows the gen alpha
making [music] up stories about them
isn't healing any wounds, and I would
otherwise scrap all this hoping they
haven't come back under another name.
But I have one thing I've been trying to
figure out since I started looking back
at this era.
Why the [ __ ] didn't Block Boy respond to
us after the video was released?
