Video summary
The narrator recounts their long-standing friendship with Dylan Martin, known online as MuppetsDCFanBoy1920, whom they met in high school and shared interests in niche internet communities like YTPMVs and GoAnimate. Initially, Dylan was characterized by his distinctive typing style, where he capitalized every word, and his creation of flip-book animations featuring a teal-colored Kermit the Frog persona in slapstick scenarios. While the narrator found Dylan's obsession with his own work irritating, particularly when he would relentlessly beg others to watch his videos or deflect conversations about their problems onto his own, they remained friends until college. Their dynamic shifted after Dylan befriended Nutter Butter Animates, a popular animator who helped boost his subscriber count, leading the two to become close online friends while the narrator felt somewhat indifferent toward Nutter Butter at the time.
Tensions escalated when the narrator noticed Dylan becoming increasingly withdrawn and spending excessive time on his laptop, which coincided with Nutter Butter's sudden inactivity. The situation took a dark turn when the narrator discovered a drawing of Dylan and Nutter Butter in wedding attire and later received a frantic Discord message from Nutter Butter pleading for help against Dylan's harassment. Upon confronting Dylan, the narrator witnessed him engaging in a prolonged campaign to force his way into Nutter Butter's life, sending hundreds of messages asking her out despite repeated refusals, flooding their chat with photos of himself, and even sharing their apartment address online. The most disturbing evidence was an SWF Flash file Dylan sent, which contained an animation depicting the two characters dancing in wedding outfits before kissing, a scene that revealed Dylan had not only obtained Nutter Butter's real name but also likely used malware embedded in the file to track her location.
After realizing the severity of Dylan's actions and his disappearance from their apartment, the narrator rushed to the police station with Dylan's laptop, only to find that all digital evidence, including his alternate accounts and chat logs, had been wiped clean by Dylan before he vanished. Despite the lack of concrete proof, the investigation led to a chilling revelation when Nutter Butter uploaded a final video showing her tied up in a room, duct-taped and terrified, being forced to dance with a bearded man wearing a Superman shirt who was revealed to be Dylan. In the video's climax, Dylan removes the tape from her mouth, whispers "I love you, Eve Rosemary," and kisses her before the footage cuts out, leaving Nutter Butter's channel inactive indefinitely and raising fears for her safety.
The story concludes with the narrator expressing deep frustration that despite nearly a decade passing since the incident, Dylan has resumed uploading his old YTPMV content and flip-book animations without any change in behavior, proving to be a dangerous individual who remains oblivious to the harm he causes. The narrator issues a stark warning to viewers: if they encounter MuppetsDCFanBoy1920 online, they should not engage with him under any circumstances but instead immediately report him to YouTube and authorities to prevent further victimization. The narrative ends on a haunting note as the narrator reflects on the lingering mystery of what happened to Eve after the video was released, admitting that knowing the truth would only boil their blood, leaving the fate of the victim unresolved and the threat from Dylan very much alive in the digital space.

The formidable
Dylan Martin, Muppets DC fanboy 1920,
whatever you want to call him. I thought
it said Dylan McDermott in the beginning
of the first paragraph. I hate that I
stayed friends with him for so long. I
hate that I could have done the simplest
thing anyone else could have done to
prevent what happened. I hate that
despite everything, he's still active to
this day. I know what he did before, and
I know he'll do it again, and I'll be
damned if I'm going to let someone like
him off the hook. I first met Dylan back
at around the 10th grade or so. It
didn't take long for us to warm up to
each other. We attended most of the same
classes. We lived close to each other
and we also shared the same interest in
Sparta remixes and sharks and YTPMVs. A
very random topic I know. He even gave
me his YouTube channel name when we
became friends, which was, as you'd
probably guess, Muppets DC fanboy 1920.
When I checked his channel for the first
time, I saw a lot of those YouTube boot
music videos, or YTPMVs for short, we
were into. Keep in mind, they were
different from what I expected. I was
more into those videos that were
strangely pretty catchy to listen to
every once in a while. All Dylan did was
take videos he enjoyed watching, such as
classy chupo logos and hoops and yo-yo
cards, and add them in Sony Vegas
templates. a lot of others did in that
small community he was in. In fact, he
was in a lot of online communities that
were rather niche like Go Animate videos
and logo edits. Much like most people in
those groups, he typed with capitalizing
the first letter of every word. That's
the same way I used to type on the
internet when I was 10 to 16 years old.
I personally didn't get it. Those aside,
he made animations. They weren't flash
animations or 3D ones. Instead, he drew
multiple frames on paper and spliced
them together to make it look animated,
kind of like a flip book in a way. They
all had his persona, which was a teal
colored Kermit the Frog in a generic
superhero costume in slapstick comedy
scenarios. They were admittedly
impressive for someone like him. When he
wasn't quiet around those who bullied
him, he was usually narcissistic. Aside
from the interests we had in common, the
flip book animations he did were all he
talked about. The more he talked, the
harder it was to get him to stop.
Whenever I vented to him, he would
somehow find a way to connect it to his
own problems, and the topic [music] just
switched to that. I didn't want to argue
against this since I didn't want to
sound like a jerk, but it was irritating
to say the [music] least. If I wasn't
walking with him, I would usually see
him in the hallways, begging others to
watch his flip book animations. He
[music] didn't care if they wanted to or
if they weren't in the mood. All he
wanted was the attention. Even if one
would say no to him, he would keep
asking them over and over like a broken
record. It was like he wasn't listening.
Eventually, when we became roommates in
college, his animations would get the
attention of someone online. a woman who
went by the name Nutter Butter Animates,
a cool way to spell the plural for
animate with a zed. Nutter Butter's
content was a lot different compared to
Dylan's. She would post animation
[music] memes of popular songs with her
emo character animated in Adobe Flash.
She was one of the more popular ones
we've seen, but what made her special
was her hobby of getting others
recognized. Basically, what she did was
find an animator out there with less
than a thousand subscribers and make a
short video of her trying to replicate
their style. Each video would end with a
message encouraging her wide audience to
subscribe to the person she mimicked.
Shortly after her fan video of Dylan was
posted, his subscriber count would go
from around 900 to less than 2K in a
couple days. 2K sounds like the most
Jenzy way to say 2000. Half of them were
praising the style of his flip books, if
you could even call it those, while the
other half stayed for his YTPMVs.
From what I remember, Dylan was really
happy about the [music] news. In fact,
ever since then, he would check Nutter
Butter's YouTube channel constantly for
any updates about her, and after a
couple weeks, they [music] would become
close friends on Discord. I didn't
really care for Nutter Butter at the
time. I was just glad Dylan had a new
friend. A few weeks flew by and I begin
to notice Dylan using his laptop he had
since I met him a lot more than usual.
While I was studying for college, I
would see him typing and staring at that
laptop for hours on end. He was smiling
a lot more, too. Of course, this was
when I actually saw him in that
apartment I stayed in. In those weeks,
he would spend his time locked in his
room. I had no idea what he was doing,
mostly because he always told me to not
worry about it when I tried to talk to
him. Keep in mind, this started
happening after he met Nutter Butter. I
had my reasons to suspect she had
something to do with his behavior. I
checked her channel and I discovered
she's been inactive for weeks. No new
comments, no recent posts, nothing. She
usually uploaded twice a week and she
would have made an announcement to her
fans just in case. So, what happened?
The latest video she made was the video
she made for Dylan. But, of course, I
just thought it was just a coincidence.
The next day, I returned home from
college, and one of the first things I
saw was a colored picture on the ground
in the same style of Dylan's animations.
[music]
The picture had Nutter Butter and him in
their personas, both of them in wedding
attire. They stared at each other and
leaned forward and were about to kiss.
As you'd expect, I was concerned about
the drawing. [music] It was odd to see
Dylan make something like this,
especially since from what I knew about
him, he was [music] single, nor did he
have any interest in romance. I opened
his door to see him on his laptop like
usual, and I [music] asked him about the
drawing in my hands. To my surprise, he
became frustrated, snatched the drawing
from me, and slammed the door. Not one
word was muttered from him. Again, it
felt concerning. A week passed and I
began to realize that Dylan had started
to skip class entirely. When I went
[music] to the same classes we took
together, he wasn't there. I went back
to the apartment and find Dylan in that
same room he's been [music] in for
weeks, screaming at me to get out
whenever I asked him what he wanted to
[music] eat. Rinse and repeat. It wasn't
like him at all, and I didn't want it to
continue. The final straw came when I
got a Discord friend request from none
other than Nutter Butter herself.
Thankfully, I still have the messages
saved. For the sake of things, I'll
transcribe how the conversation went.
I'm DJ Teddy Z. Nutter Butter Animates.
Hi. You know Muppets DC fanboy 1920,
right? DJ Teddy Z. Yes, I do. He's my
roommate. Nutter Butter Animates.
Please, please get him to stop. Get him
to stop. Please, please, please, please,
please, please, please, please, please,
please, please, please, please, please.
I didn't know what to do, nor did I know
what she was talking about. All I knew
was that Dylan was apparently bothering
her or something. But still, I wanted
her to be safe. So, I decided to tell
her what anyone else should do when it
comes to something like this. DJ Teddy
Z, why don't you just block him? Nutter
Butter Animates. He doesn't want me to.
After that, she just stopped responding.
That was it. The last straw. I didn't
care if Dylan was going to scream at me.
I had to know what he did to drive
Nutter Butter to become like this. Was
he bothering her? [music] Was he
harassing her? Did he say something?
Whatever it was, I had to know. Without
any hesitation, I immediately stormed to
Dylan's room and burst the door open. He
didn't scream at me like he always does.
Instead, he stopped packing his things.
I had no idea why he was packing in the
first place, nor did I give a damn about
it compared to what I wanted to tell him
about. As soon my eyes met his, [music]
he tried to grab his laptop and pack it
with him, but I clenched my hands on it
before he could even think about it. We
had a tug of war over the [music]
computer, and I managed to pull it out
of his hands. I immediately booked it to
the nearest closet and barricaded the
door for obvious reasons. The pounding
and yelling [music] at me to come out
was deafening to hear, but I didn't
care. All I wanted was what Dylan was
saying to the poor woman. And my [music]
god, was it infuriating. It was a lot. I
can tell you that. But I'll write down
what I saw. [music] Firstly, every
message that I've seen was Dylan asking
Nutter Butter if she wants to visit. She
kept on refusing, telling her as polite
as she could ever be, saying the [music]
word no again and again. But no matter
what she said, the bastard didn't
listen. Scroll after scroll, the same
request over and over, the poor woman
becoming more uncomfortable by the
minute. If [music] it wasn't that, he
would talk about how they were meant to
be together, referring to [music] them
as man and wife, and so on. Secondly,
his face. Caucasian, short blonde hair
with a beard. So many messages of photos
taken of his face polluted their chat.
All of them were captioned with one
message. I know you love me smiley emo.
Third of all, it wasn't [music] just his
account. There were several alternate
accounts he owned. All of them were used
to send her the same message. Muppets
[music] want to meet you. And finally,
he even went as far to send our address.
Yes, the address of the apartment we've
been renting for months now. carelessly
messaged for some random woman online to
see. He somehow found a way to drag me
into it as well, mentioning my own
Discord username while he was talking
about how great the place was. I was
already angered enough for what Dylan
had done, but telling our own location
online. Do I even need to explain what's
wrong with that? But that wasn't even
the worst of it. The worst was a file he
sent before he started packing. I love
you so was the title. The file was an S
SWF shockwave flash suggesting the whole
thing was done on Adobe Flash. The file
had an animation not in his typical
paper flip book style. It was entirely
done using brush [music] tools sprites
animated via tweening. Classic
Newgrounds eat your heart out. It had
both Dillons and Nutter Butters personas
dancing to a slowed version of the song
by Snuffle sharing the same name as the
files. They were in wedding attire
similar to the drawing I found earlier.
Once the I could never let you go was
heard for the second time. Dylan [music]
placed his pawn behind the poor woman.
The two smiled at each other widely,
slightly giggling on what they were
about to do. The post chorus starts to
echo around the video and Dylan pulls
nutter butters head closer to him,
ending the animation with a shared kiss.
Red hearts started [music] to appear and
flooded the screen, only stopping as
soon as it became completely red. Black
text followed for my Nutter Butter. I
saw more than enough and it seemed like
Nutter Butter was on the same page
[music] as me. She straight up told
Dylan that she doesn't love him. They
were friends and just friends. That was
all there is and that's all it will ever
be. I definitely couldn't blame her. In
fact, if I were to be honest, I was
expecting her to do a lot more than
that. And I'll never forget how Dylan
responded. Don't worry, I'll be with you
forever, Eve. Then he sent a picture. A
picture of a house. It wasn't [music]
any house. It was Eve's house. At that
moment, I began to panic. How the hell
did he manage to find Nutter Butter's
real name, let alone her own location? I
didn't know what to do. I didn't know
what to say. All I could do at the time
was think to myself, there was no way he
would be able to pull something like
this. It obviously wasn't a [music]
prank since he stopped responding after
that. It just wasn't possible. Unless I
took a closer look at the SWF file and
upon scanning it, everything made sense.
It wasn't just any ordinary flash
animation. It was a virus. Not just a
virus made [music] to infect Eve's
computer. It was made to track her down.
I couldn't believe Dylan would be that
desperate to [music] meet some idol in
person, let alone in a way that ruins
her privacy. It was infuriating,
obviously, but [music] I still pondered
on how Dylan would make something like
this. Last time I checked, he didn't
have any interest in [music] coding.
Then it clicked. The time he spent
locked in his room, the classes he
[music] skipped, the weeks that passed,
the wedding drawing. It was all for that
damn file. I see more than enough. I
bolted out of the closet, but not
without Dylan trying [music] to take the
laptop from me, got in her car, and
slammed the gas pedal all the [music]
way to the police station. I didn't call
911 at the time because if I did, God
knows what Dylan could have done to me.
Somehow upon investigating, the police
weren't able [music] to find any
evidence. For a couple minutes, I
thought the internet just wasn't [music]
working. But as it turns out, Dylan's
DMs when he had been completely wiped,
including his alternate [music] accounts
as well. Even after I told them, they
couldn't find any evidence besides that
animation, likely because I [music]
didn't save any screenshots. I could
have done the bare minimum to prove it,
but I didn't. And I [music] left someone
in danger because of it. I'm such an
idiot. Regardless, the police still
wanted to know who this Dylan [music]
Martin was. We drove back to the
apartment to look for him, but somehow
he was gone, and so were all his
belongings. His drawings [music] were
gone, his pencils were gone, everything.
The only few things that remained was
his laptop, still held in my hands, and
a [music] smashed photo of us at the
park during 10th grade. His face was
scribbled out, though. We [music] were
dumbfounded on where he was, especially
me. I used the only car we had, and if I
recall correctly, Dylan didn't have a
[music] license. The police started
looking for him after that. I didn't get
any sleep that night in fear of what
would happen, and [music] I asked my
professor what happened to Dylan. He
told me that he dropped out because his
heart wasn't in it anymore. I already
knew that was a lie, and that wasn't the
end of it. A few days later, after
months of inactivity, [music] Eve would
finally upload one last video on
YouTube. I love you. So, the video
started with a pink CD player on a dark
wooden table recorded on phone. The
person holding the camera reached for
something on the shelf above, revealing
a [music] snuffle CD jewel case. Whoever
was recording struggled to open the case
with one arm, but they [music]
eventually figured it out, putting the
CD in the player in the process. The
person hits play and the recording fades
to black. Sounds of setting up the
camera could be vaguely heard before the
video cuts to a disco [music] ball lamp
turning on. Eve, now in person instead
of animated like usual, could be seen
tied up to a chair. She had dyed blue
hair, duct tape on her mouth, and it was
hard to tell from the awful recording,
but she looked like she was crying. A
tall bearded man walks towards her
[music] wearing a Superman shirt and
untied the rope. She tried to book it a
second after she was freed, but not
before the man grabbed her by the wrist
and pulled [music] her towards him. Cue
the song. Instead of being concerned,
most of the comments would be left
confused on what was happening. A few of
them assumed it was some cheap horror
video, [music] and a lot of them would
question whoever this man was since he
was never [music] credited in the
description. None of them could identify
who he was since his face had been
pixelated. But I knew that man [music]
was Dylan. As the song with the video's
name continued to play, Dylan and E
forcefully slow danced around the room.
Unlike in the animation where he had the
same affection towards Dylan, she was
terrified. [music]
I could make out her trying to pry out
of Dylan's hands as they danced. [music]
And it was a bit harder to see for
anyone else, but I could see her trying
to cry for help, but she couldn't. Not
with the duct tape strapped on her. Once
the first verse [music] starts after the
post chorus, Dylan reached for that duct
tape in Eve's mouth and tore it off. A
loud ripping sound echoed with the song
[music] still playing. With the way he
finally wailed from the pain, I didn't
even want to think how long that tape
could have been on for, ignoring [music]
her obvious agony, the bearded bastard
shushed her, placing his index finger
[music] on her lips. One last line was
said before it was over.
>> I love you, Eve Rosemary.
He places [music] his hand behind Eve's
head, still tightly grasping one of
Eve's hands with the other. He then
pulls her [music] head closer to where
their lips meet and kissed her, lips
locked, leaning [music] forward. The
video abruptly ends there, leaving
Nutter Butter Animates [music] this
channel inactive indefinitely. Before
you ask, it's not the video that angers
me the most about this situation. What
frustrates me more is what Dylan's doing
now. Even after almost a decade, even
after [music] what he had done to a poor
innocent woman that did nothing more
than make a fan animation of him, he's
still uploading [music] to this day,
churning out the same YTPMV content that
has since been long past its peak and
the flip book animations that [music]
haven't changed one bit. The whole
reason why I wrote this is because of
what I saw last night. Sometimes
whenever I have a break from work, I
occasionally scroll [music] and watch on
YouTube for a while. An animation meme
caught my eye and it looked appealing
from the thumbnail. I checked the
comments and that's when I saw him.
Muppets DC fanboy 1920 asking the
uploader to make a Muppets animation for
him in that [music] same typing quirk he
always spoke with. I'm just going to say
this. If you see Muppets [music] DC
fanboy 1920 online, just know he isn't
some kid with odd interests. He is a
dangerous oblivious individual [music]
that's been doing this for god knows how
long. If you get his attention somehow
and he starts asking you, don't respond.
Don't interact with him. Don't even
click on his icon. Report him to [music]
YouTube staff and the authorities
immediately. Let them know what he did
and don't let him get away with it. With
all that said and done, [music] one
question still lingers in my mind. One
that makes my heart beat faster the more
I put thought into it. One I can't stop
[music] thinking of every day. And even
if I found out, I know the answer would
boil my blood. What happened to Eve?
[music]
