I loved having an iPod touch during my
childhood days. [music]
I remember playing all kinds of classic
games such as Plants Versus [music]
Zombies, Temple Run, Hill Climb Racing,
and Reirds, and a lot more. I could go
on and on about the games I play on it,
[music] and how much I want to revisit
the good old days. However, nothing
really lasts forever, [music] and it's
hard to let go, but that's just how life
is. But recently, I've been hearing
rumors on Reddit about a strange company
in Russia being responsible for a
[music] mysterious massacre of several
people after producing bootleg after
bootleg of various old games. [music]
The very thought of such has been
intriguing me for quite a while up until
now. Now, before anyone reminds me, I'm
not one of those monkey see monkey do
type of guys as I don't magically
believe what I see on the internet.
Heck, I don't believe anything on the
internet unless further evidence is
given. But I've seen screenshots sent in
by users about this blog containing said
apps and various people being [music]
shocked and impressed about said blog.
If you ask me, I was this close [music]
to thinking this entire thing was all
set up as if it were an ARG. The idea of
such [music] thing even sounds like such
on paper. Unfortunately though, I've
learned the hard way that this [music]
is no ARG. I've looked through
screenshot after screenshot posted by
various [music] Reddit and Twitter
users, even videos posted on YouTube and
4chan. I wish I was joking, but I can
confirm that all of this is definitely
real. But the thing is, [music] this all
has to start somewhere. At least for
this case scenario. Back in 2010, a
Russian company named

[music] opened up and released eight
games onto the App Store. The company
was ran by four people in Moscow. Two
people [music] who recoded and published
the apps and two people who re-edited
and added malware into the apps. [music]
From what I've researched, the malware
was added to trick others into
downloading cracked or [music]
jailbroken apps. At one point, they also
had a website that also contained these
[music] games that could be accessed via
clicking one of their ad banners that
were widely spread out for a short
while. Upon clicking the ad [music]
banner, it'll take you to a website
known as hosquito.ru, which has the
[music] same name as the company's
mascot. If I remembered correctly, the
website looked like this. The website
itself isn't [music] anything big, but
it was rather a ticket to the actual
website itself. Glancing upon this
screenshot of the website alone, there
wasn't much to see other than a static
image of Hosku, large white text of his
name, a copyright handler, and a piece
of dialogue with the said website link
below the string of Russian text. What
does the dialogue itself entail when
translated? There's not much to be
[music] seen here. However, there's much
more to be seen at our website. We
publish things. Upon going to
huskyapps.ru, R. It gets right to
[music] the point. There are seven app
icons that can be seen circling around
some Russian text that welcomed you to
their website. The seven individual
icons appear to be modified to where the
characters scare a word blue like
mosquitoes and a [music] faint blue
letter that was barely visible somewhere
around the app's icon. The seven games
that were on the [music] website were
Doodle Jump and Reirds Cut the Rope
Cause Loop through Ninja, Rayman 2, The
Great [music] Escape, and Bejeweled 2.
most of, if not all of these apps were
considered to be loved by many, which
gave [music] the company a perfect idea
to trick others that were fans of these
games into buying modified versions
[music] of them. If you were to download
one of these apps, it would ask
permissions to edit and make changes to
files. If one were to press deny, it
would act as if you pressed allow
[music] instead. I don't know why this
happens, but I guess it's to prevent
people [music] from thinking that it
doesn't do anything. Starting one of
these apps upgreads you with a logo
featuring Hoskino's head with some
Russian text below that translates to
the following. Published by Husky
Enterprises. For more stuff like this,

After 3 seconds, the logo disappears and
you're thrown right into that game.
There isn't much [music] that has
changed other than any visible text
being translated to Russian and any
music heard in the game being in
slightly lower quality, if not a bit
janky. The game play itself [music]
isn't modified at all either, or so I
thought. If one were to continue playing
said game for 7 minutes and a half
straight, the real modifications would
begin to show. The game play would
freeze for half a second, cutting to
black for 3 seconds. Once the darkness
disappeared, the game play would become
horribly corrupted. The textures would
begin to corrupt and shift into mixed
colors that didn't look like actual
colors. The text would crumble and warp
into incoherent gibberish. And any music
that was heard would distort into a mess
of instruments [music] and consistently
change in pitch, sometimes going silent
and becoming audible again every few
seconds. At this [music] point, the
visuals of the game play were impossible
to dissect or comprehend. If you tried
to [music] exit the app, you would find
out that it would reopen directly after.
After after 40 seconds of
incomprehensible gameplay, it would cut
to black and the [music] music would
freeze notes and gradually slow down and
become more quiet. It would go silent
for a good 10 seconds until the screen
lit up again. However, there was no
gameplay to be seen at all. The only
thing that could be seen was a dark blue
background with black snowy static
covering the majority of it. There was
no music to be heard, but instead a loud
cold, wintry ambiencece akin to that of
a snowstorm or a blizzard. As this
background up, some barely
visible images would flash every 2
seconds randomly around the screen. One
image showcased a stained canine skull.
Again, one image showcased a body
riddled with large gashes and bite
wounds. And yet again, one image
showcased intestines being ripped apart
and tucked on by a large wolfike figure
that looked identical to mosquitoes with
an open rib cage in the corner. Every
image was a collage of graphic autopsies
that were nearly incomprehensible due to
the low opacity each one had. After 10
seconds of nothing but a cold ambience
and slight flashing imagery, a darkened
figure that looked exactly like Hosku
walked to the center of the screen,
facing towards the camera right after.
The figure's eyes stared directly at the
player, not making a word. Around two
seconds in, he began speaking in
Russian, translating to the following.
You have exiled yourself into unknown
territory. The world around you is made
up of nothing. Nothing but greed,
corruption, and sin made up by mankind.
The cause of this is you and your
curiosity lurking into an area you
weren't supposed to see. I can see
humanity wreck itself like this. The
human race is doomed and it's your
fault. After Hosku has said his message,
the darkness around him fades as his
entirety is now fully shown. However,
there are various splatters around his
paws that were red so dark you couldn't
even tell there was blood on his paws.
It implies many incidents that follow.
Mosquito raises one of his paws up to
the screen, revealing that there were
sharp claws covered in the thin blackish
red liquid. He let out one last word out
of his mouth to the viewer. Farewell.
And as Hosku said goodbye, he raised his
claw popup and impaled the screen with
his claws, giving the illusion that he
shattered the glass.
At the mere second he impaled the
screen, it showed the one frame where
the shards went flying around the screen
for a second and the screen cut to black
for the last time. However, any attempts
to back out or switch off the device was
now futile as the iPod touch would boot
loop. This is most likely because the
modified app had corrupted the cache
files on Q. The app would also delete
itself at this time to hide any evidence
that the app was even there to begin
with. Now, for a malware disguising
itself as an old game, there seems to be
a lot of effort and thought put into it.
It seems almost impressive and
astonishing in a way. But as you do
know, this wouldn't be the end of Husky
Enterprises infamy. This is where 4chan
and Reddit come into the picture. The
origins of those graphic images from
earlier come from pictures taken by
adults that went missing [music] and
were killed by a figure that looked
exactly like Hosku. A total of 82
unfortunate adult humans fell victim to
the website's menacing charm, [music]
and only half of them were able to tell
anonymous users on the X threads on
4chan and underground [music]
blogs about this Russian website, and
that they kept hearing loud barks, the
voice of hospites, and even howls from
outside, some of which even heard
knocking, growling, or clawing coming
from their door. The next night, after
[music] the victims suspected strange
sounds from all around, their mental
state had deteriorated [music]
from these thoughts in an instant and
ran away from home into the woods,
suspecting that they [music] had met
Tosquito and got their bodies torn apart
by him. Surprisingly enough, there were
a total of eight recordings of these
victims documenting the sounds they
heard throughout the night.
Hallucinations of a large
anthropomorphic husky walking around
their houses in the darkness. And the
[music] most infamous ones of all, the
victims getting ambushed and tortured to
death by mosquito. It didn't take long
for the whole ordeal to begin spreading
on 4chan like a wildfire as it reached
[music] Reddit, YouTube, and even
Twitter. The internet began arguing
about whether this was all fake or
[music] not. and began speculating
rumors and theories. The entire
situation was so much of a hot mess that
around a month after husky apps. reached
4chan, the website, including their apps
on the app store and its ticket website
shut down and disappeared without
warning. I didn't really know who or
what to believe in once I first heard
about this website and its infilly, but
I've seen everything and even the videos
on 4chan. I've even tried speculating if
it was just a bunch of special [music]
effects and Hollywood editing, but
unfortunately the news I've been told is
all real. I don't know what the thought
process was when it came to creating a
full-on crypted in malware that followed
its victim's home and waited out in
[music] the forest to see them coming
towards them then proceeding to kill
them. No [music] other types of malware
have a crypted attached to them. But
this one is like a needle in a
haststack. surprisingly [music] cuz the
apps doroo and its ticket website itself
can be found on the way back archived.
However, all the downloads to the
archived website have been removed for
pretty obvious [music] reasons. You'd
expect a site like this to be
blacklisted from such after the news
spread out. Still, for everyone's
safety, I'm not going to put any links
to the archived site since I know a few
who are a little too curious. If this
whole ordeal has taught me anything,
[music] it's that you should never trust
the following Russian websites,
suspicious links, and anthropomorphic
huskys wearing luchankas. Stay safe on
