Competing With EPIC Anime Characters In Master Duel! | Wheeled Anime Tournament EP15

In this series, I'll be challenging a fellow YouTuber to a duel with decks used in Yu-Gi-Oh! anime. But this time, the stakes are higher. I have chosen 32 of the most famous characters from the Yu-Gi-Oh! anime and placed them in a March Madness style bracket. I will spin a wheel to determine which character I play, and the episode's guest will take the other character from the bracket. Then, each player will build their decks using cards the character used in the anime with a couple of special editions. After each deck is built, then we duel. Have you ever wondered who would top a tournament that included characters like Kaiba, Zane, and Pegasus? And was Yugi actually the best duelist in Yu-Gi-Oh! history? Just watch the series and you will find out. Hello everyone, welcome back to the first round of the wheeled anime tournament where there only two matchups remaining, and they both include a Yugi. And the other two options are Bakura and Rex Raptor. So, I think we're going to have some pretty awesome matchups here and some iconic Yu-Gi-Oh! characters. Let's go ahead and spin the wheel and see what I'm [music] going to be playing today. I really don't care cuz I like all of these. I think I would actually pick Bakura. Like, I'm on a fiend kick right now. Make sure you check out uh uh childhood Yu-Gi-Oh! Wildwood Yu-Gi-Oh! Uh Bakura. Just as I asked for. So, Bakura is going to be facing Yami [music] Yugi. So, this is actually pretty anime relevant matchup here. It's a pretty main characters starting in the very first round. So, I get to be Bakura, and I'm going to be facing Yami Yugi. >> Welcome back duelists to another Roxanne video. This is Luke Von Karma ready to activate Swords of Revealing Light, Mirror Force, and iconic cards like Gazelle. I'm Gazelle. Just imagine that. This is Yami Yugi. I'm playing as Yami Yugi. I'm very excited. Pretty much grabbed any anime card I could. Slot this bad boy in. We got We got my Royal Slaifer. We got my Royal Breaker with the with the art with the beautiful majestic art. Ooh, oh my goodness. Summoned Skull, one of my favorite guys ever. Powerful spells. Man, Yami had some broken stuff. Pot of Greed, Monster Reborn, Brain Control, Graceful Charity, Card Destruction. I just got to do something with it. I did put Slifer in. I hope I hope Roxanne isn't mad about me putting Slifer in. But it's just so funny. It's just too funny not to put in the big man himself, the big divine beast that sometimes has like a thousand attack that can't beat over like Force Raider. Then we have Dark Magician Girl, of course, and Dark Magician is nowhere to be seen. Just kidding, he's over here. Anyway, let's get into it. Let's get into the duels. Okay, here is the deck profile for Bakura and you're going to see this before, but just know that after the first duel some things got changed, so I'm updating the deck profile so you see what was played after the first duel. So it's mostly the same as the first duel, but just an FYI. And now I'll use my fiend monsters. I love Bakura, he's so cool. This was actually a really tough one because I know the point of the series, I say it over and over, is to have the absolute best deck. The problem is Bakura's deck is so good that I didn't know if I should really actually play all of his cards because it would be a very very very hard to watch episode because he plays Dark Sanctuary, which is an absolutely insane card. And if I play this at three, if we draw it, we're in a really good spot to win because there's not a ton of removal in this series, and if you can't remove this, you have to risk taking half your life points of the attack points of the monster. It's just a really really good card. Then if I played like three of the Spirit Shield, we'd be able to protect ourselves with all of our zombies. I can play the Spirit Illusion at three. There's just so many really good cards that if I played all these at three, then I could do Dark Door and just floodgate them out. I really don't know. Like 3-D Bound Kernel and just summon this thing and be really annoying. I don't know. For the next round of Bakura, let me know. Should we be maxing out his absolute potential? And maybe if he makes the winner's bracket, that's when we do that. Or if it's the loser's bracket, we chill a little bit. But I guess in the loser's bracket, then you want him to win so he can come back. So, I don't know. Maybe he should just be maxing out his potential. We'll go through it in a second and talk about why it's so crazy. Let's go through the bad stuff, which is the the regular fiends from the anime. They're all from the anime, but you know, just bad vanillas. Gross Ghost of Fledreams, Headless Knight, Earth Bound Spirit. 2K defense is pretty good. I mean, these guys all have decent stats, pretty good defenses. The Earl of Demise. This guy's really cool. He's made an appearance on Childhood Yu-Gi-Oh! 2000 Attack to a One Tribute. We have Masked Darkness to get back the trap cards, which we do have some decent ones here. Man-Eater Bug. The you know, you guys remember Tristan, you know, saving Who was he saving? Lokuba? And then the Man-Eater Bug like ate the guard. It was kind of crazy. Morphing Jar is like three Morphing Jar could be insane. Sangan. I am running two Sangan. I don't know if that should be at three, at at one. I ended up cutting it down to two because there's way too many cards in this deck. White Magical Hat to rip a card from your opponent. Goblin Zombie is also pretty cool. It can float into another zombie, which is only Goblin Zombie in this. I don't think he has any other zombies. Diabound Kernel is insane. When it attacks, it becomes 2400. It has a quick effect to target one face-up monster your opponent controls. It loses attack equal to this card's current attack until the end of this turn, then you banish this card into the standby phase. So, all you have to have is a face-up card on the opponent's side of field. So, if they attack you, you can lower them down to zero. Or, if they attack and you lower them to zero, and the other one then tries to attack you, well, they can't because you've already lowered the attack and banished yourself. So, this thing's like unkillable by battle. You can only use it once per turn, but I mean, you're just banishing yourself and it doesn't matter anymore. You're safe. Dark Ruler destroyed by battle with any fiend. So, once it's on the field, it's like a a whole aura of all your fiends on the field. It's crazy. Puppet Master is kind of goofy, but I figured I'd throw it in cuz it's funny to summon back some of your cards. Two Dark Necrofear, which is one of the most awesome boss monsters ever. It's not really that amazing, but it is a really cool and crazy artwork. You got to check this out. I mean, that is very scary. Then the Dark Holes, the Polymerization for the Duke of Demise, which is only two Fiends or or Zombie included in there. Like, it's kind of insane. It's an easy Summon, and then you do have to pay a 500 Life Point cost to keep it on the field. Cannot be destroyed by battle, which is absolutely insane. And then during your Main Phase, you can Normal Summon a monster. Then you can banish it from the graveyard, get a Zombie or a Fiend level four or higher back from the graveyard. It's a very strong card, and yes, he does use it in the anime, Luke Von Karma. Pretty crazy. Then we have Pot of Greed, Change of Heart, we've got the Shallow Grave, we've got Premature Burial, we've got Spirit Illusion Equip only to a level five or higher Fiend or Zombie monster. This is level five or higher, so it does have to be, you know, the Earl of Demise, the Dark Ruler Ha Des, the Puppet Master, the Dark Necrofear. But if you can equip it, when attack is declared involving the equipped monster and opponent's monster and an opponent's monster, you can make that opponent's monster lose attack equal to the equipped monster's attack, which is crazy. You can activate one of these effects, Fusion Summon one Fusion monster from the Extra Deck using monster from your hand or a field. Special Summon one Doppelganger Token with the equipped monster's attack, attribute, and type. So, that's actually insane. If you pull that off, that card goes insane. Then of course the Dark Sanctuary, which is nuts, and it also allows you to play Spirit Messages on your monster zone, so you don't have to fill up your entire Spell and Trap Zone, which makes it actually possible to pull off Final, which would be a cool to do in today's episode. Ectoplasmer is one of his iconic cards, you start burning each other. I always think of Arcana with this, but also Bakura uses it. Then there's the Chain Energy, which is annoying. Floodgate, same thing with Dark Door. Then the Mirror Force, Torrential Tribute, Magic Cylinder, Dark Spirit of the Silent, which is one of his OG cards, Multiple Destruction, A Battle City Bonanza special. If you guys haven't seen that series, this card actually went off many times. Speaking of Battle City Bonanza, definitely check out Duelist Kingdom Conquest, a new series I just started this week. Then the Destiny Board of a minute to talk about Spirit Shield. So, as you can see, there's a lot of really powerful cards in here. There's also some terrible vanillas, but Bakura could even have a better deck than this if I really you know, I don't need puppet master. You know, let's cut that out. We really maybe one Dark Ruler Had Ez, two two or three Deep Bound Kernel, maybe just one Dark Necrofear. We have three Dark Sanctuary. This deck could be really insane if we really wanted to. And because it is a tournament, it really probably should be insane. And I've been struggling with how to build this deck, especially knowing I was playing Yami Yugi, who's going to be summoning Celtic Guardian in attack mode. Yami Yugi, are you ready to duel? Necrofear is not really that good. There's not that many fiends in here, to be honest. I drew it a couple times, and I would have like one fiend in the graveyard. Um but if it gets out there, it's decent. Uh the spells and traps are what are so powerful. Like >> Yeah. >> I I didn't I didn't want to play three of these. And this card's crazy, too. Spirit Illusion. When an attack is declared, declaring the the equipped monster, you can make that opponent's monster lose attack equal to the monster's equipped attack. And then you can fusion summon with it, or summon a token. It's pretty crazy. So, that That card's really good. Obviously, Fiend Sanctuary is ridiculous. >> I obviously should have just cut the Gallis Alpha, Gamma, Omega, and then like the Valkyrion, cuz it's just it's just so bad. They're like >> Yeah, I would have cut them. They They're They're kind of Yugi Moto cards, but it So, you probably would have been fine cutting them. And then you'd be at 40 anyway. >> Yeah, I didn't know if it was like Yami or Yugi. It's See, that's also hard to determine, cuz like >> Yeah, the the Yugi the Yugi decks are really hard, because they make it super hard to figure out what you're supposed to play and what you're not, because there's two of them. >> both, right? Like Yami sometimes switches, or like they Like it's it's kind of hard to be like, you want to play Yami and not Yugi. >> much have to do If you do one thing Yeah, you have to base it on that last duel they do. But even then, it's like Does that count for both of, you know >> Right. >> So, it's tough to determine, and their decks are usually not very good. >> They're terrible. >> you're you're putting in like, you know, Dark Magician, Summoned Skull, you know, if you try to play Gaia the Dragon Champion and its materials, like they're both awful. >> Oh my god, I was like Celtic Guardian, you know, they're just a lot of vanillas. Yeah. >> If you If you summon your vanilla, and your opponent goes, "Okay, like torrential." You like insta lose. >> And he has a bunch of >> Literally anything is like any removal, like simple even is like >> Yeah. >> It's just it's game-breaking cuz you summon like You saw when I fused for like Dark Paladin. I'm like it doesn't matter. I minus two to summon a guy who dies, right? Like >> Yeah. Yeah. >> It's just like that's that's Yugi. He he summons a big dude that's terrible and >> [laughter] >> he dies. >> And he had he gets a lot of like re-trains. So that's like the big thing. It's like all of his good guys are re-trains. They're not as stuff like the real cards never got printed cuz his stuff got printed so early. They >> So he's so awesome. He's so awesome. >> And like a lot of these like niche characters they didn't get to until 2022 or whatever. They're like, "Oh yeah, let's print out their cards now." And so they had to print them as good cards because they're so new. So they get a big advantage there. >> freaking demise who is so insane and extremely easy to fuse into. >> Yeah, but he's so generic. Just two fiend and zombie. That's what makes it good because they you go with the Goblin Zombie, too. >> Triple Goblin Zombie. Like I I don't know if um I should have like I don't I didn't feel comfortable, you know, I'm like, "Oh well, I'll just triple mystical elf um summon skull summon You know, I was like, "No, that doesn't like work, you know?" If your deck it's like perfect cuz zombies zombies do that. They like flood the board. >> Yeah. >> And then I have to hold Archfiend of Gilfer who is a 2200 attack tribute summon. >> He's good with Graceful Charity, though. That was cool. >> It was fun. It was funny. There's so many things where like, "That's awesome." It's awful, but it's awesome. >> And it's like a minus 500 attack. Not necessarily great, but it was cool. >> Slifer and it was like instantly owned by like a spell. >> [laughter] >> No, not instantly. It did dodge the one torrential on summon. So that was pretty cool. >> summon and then I'm like, "Okay, well, there goes my board, right?" >> Yeah. Yeah. We don't get like >> Yeah, the erratas really suck, too, cuz you could have like a really good Brain Control like if it weren't for the errata. >> There's like spells like Dark Magic Curtain. I don't even know if it's half your life points in the anime. Probably is, but like Dark Renewal's probably better. Like Um there's so many things like that where you're like oh my god, like Baphomet being like a five star. He probably just normal summons Baphomet or whatever. >> Yeah, yeah, cuz it's so early.
