Grant, do you still collect and buy newer trading cards like Pokemon and sports cards? No, nothing newer. I haven't been I don't buy I really don't buy anything new cards. Um, new comics, yes, to a certain degree, but I'm mainly been buying older comics since that conversation came up. Since that came up, gang, let's do a comic book haul. Okay, let's do a comic book haul. Let's do a comic book haul. I'm going to put this baby down. I want to take a sip of the drink. All right. Salute for bringing up comic books. Since you brought up cards, I'm going to show you two decks of cards that I just bought. Okay. Uh trading cards, but they're the trading cards from I pulled it out of the box because I wasn't sure what came and it came out of it came out of the box. I looked at I go, "Oh, I got to I'll leave in the bubble wrapper. show you guys. Like I said, right now there's a there's a lot of things that you can get on the cheap because the oligarchs and the technocrats have been collapsing the economies of many nations and uh tapping out people with their extra expenses because inflation's been kicking through the roof, right? So c certain things you can get on the cheap. One of them, check this out. What kind of cars I've been collecting? Eclipse comics trading cards. And I bought these two babies. Check this out. Check this out. Coup deta the assassination at JFK. And we've done a full reading of this these cards. And these cards are clips conx, right? and they're beautiful artwork and they have history written in the back, right? And we did a full reading of 36 cards. They have lots of we did a full reading of these and they're amazing amazing history, right? And then this is friendly dictators trading cards. Both of these came out in late 1980s, early 1990s from one of the best independent uh publishing companies, comic book publishing companies ever that was ever around. And these are 36 cards as well. We haven't done a reading on these, right? But they have history written in the back as well. We'll probably at some point read through these as well, right? And I bought these for $12.50. Oops. $12.50. 50 and it was $20 shipping, right? So, I paid basically $33 for both of these. Most of it went to shipping and it's an amazing deal. It's an amazing deal. So, I'm keeping my eyes out for getting amazing deals when it comes to comic books. what I collect. And this is, as far as I'm concerned, comic book related because it came from one of the best phenomenal independent publishers, comic book publishers that's ever been around, right? As far as comic book goes, let me show you these guys. It's only three comic books and those were from the United States. Um, and they need to be shipped. These three comic books I'm about to show you were local pickup, right? Were local pickup. Oh god, your favorite affecting my personal life. I want to Okay, I'll I'll read that comment later. So, check this out. I bought two CGC graded books, right, for ridiculous price. When I went to pick this up from the local comic shop owner, he's like, "I can't believe you got these for this. The CGC alone." And he I he looked at my face like he was about to say the CGC alone cost way more than what you pay for these books. And he looked at my face. I was like smiling. I was like giggling. He just started laughing. Right. Check this out. This one is This one I didn't have. And it's I have the black version of this black cover. The first print of this and the third print of this uh and and the second print of this, but I didn't have this. This is Amazing Spider-Man 55 in the sequence of things is really Amazing Spider-Man 8566 sketch cover. Check this out. Graded at 9.6, right? This is a 1 in 50. So you had to order for every 50 of the second print of this issue, Amazing Spider-Man 55 that came out in 2021, right? For every 50 of the regular second print issue you you order, you would get one of these sketch cover, white covers, right? I paid $16 Canadian for this. [laughter] Like ridiculous price. Ridiculously cheap price. Ridiculously cheap price. It's a beautiful cover. The black one is actually amazing as well. The cover, the red cover is really good. And this white one is just phenomenal. So one in 50 paid $16 Canadian. That's like I don't know $12 US. $12 US for this. Greater than 9.6. God dang it. Right. So happy about that. Happy about that. And then check this one out. This one is Donnie Gates. And one of my favorite Spider-Man villains is Carnage. This is Absolute Carnage. And this series was pretty damn good. I read some of this, right? Absolute Carnage number four. Okay, this is one in 25. So every for every 25 issues of Absolute Carnage number four, the retailer ordered, they would get one of these. Okay. I paid $15.50 Canadian for this. Graded at 9.8 9.8 88 and a one one in 25 cover, right? So, this is like level deal. This is insane. It's great level. I don't know if it's level. Like, if you find a red rat that's willing to sell you this at $15.50, grab it. Buy it. Right. 9.8125 cover came out in 19 uh 2019. Okay. Fantastic codec codeex variant cover. Fantastic. Very happy about this. Right. Sorry about the glare. They're like nice new casings and whatnot. Right. And I love Carnage. Carnage is one of the best uh Marvel comics uh villains, right? Pure psychopath, right? very much like our politicians and bureaucrats and the math scientists, right? And the third book that I bought and I've been collecting this one. This is like either the fourth or I think it's the third um third one I have is Amazing Spider-Man number 42. Amazing Spider-Man number 42. This is a lowgrade one. He graded it at good. I would say this is more good plus or good very good but he's a good grader. So he graded it good. Okay. This is the first appearance of first facial appearance of Mary Jane Watson. Okay. Spider-Man's love. One of his loves, right? His wife, right? Or used to be wife. Okay. Uh it's got a panel. I'll show you the panel of one of the iconic memes, right? And it's the second appearance of Rhino, right? I picked this up for $44 Canadian. That's a really good price. Really good price. Uh for $44 uh Canadian, and it came out 1966. And I'm going to show you the panel, the first appearance of Mary Jane Watson, right? And it's it's a meme. It's become a meme. So, check this out. I think he graded as a good because it's got minor water damage, right? Nice. And one of the things I've been thinking about doing as long as I, you know, I don't bury these in boxes. Awesome. Awesome. Awesome. Right. is because of the shipping to the United States. It's so ridiculous now that you have to load up Trump's app to be able to ship to the United States and all that crap. Uh, I've been thinking about right buying some of these lower grade comics and cutting up some of the panels and sending those to the community as an appreciation for joining our little community. So, that's a second appearance of Rhino, right? Fantastic. And I'm going to flip all the way to the back. And here's the first appearance of first facial appearance of Mary Jane Watson. And this is it right where she says, "Face a tiger. You just hit the jackpot." So this is the first time we see Mary Jane Watson close up, right? It It's beautiful the way they do it, right? Peter Parker, I'd like you to meet my niece. You mean that's Mary Jade? Face it, Tiger. You just hit the jackpot. Those red heads. Come on. Come on. So great, great buy. And I will continue to try to get my hands on this. I think the highest grade I have for this is like very fine. Very fine. Right. So, super cool. Super cool. Super cool. Super cool. Right. And this is the full page where she appears at the back. And Marvel and DC did a lot a lot of comic books that this in the last page that would introduce you to a new character and whatnot. Right. Fantastic. Face a tiger. You just hit the jackpot. Peter's like, "Oh my god. Oh my god." My blood just pulled out. Nice. I love it. I love it. So, if you got the funds, there's some amazing deals to be had. There's some amazing deals to be had. Who knows if you know they will still continue to be amazing deals around or if they're going to flood the system full of money or not. But that's our comic book call. Okay. A quickie but a goodie.
