Cody, how significant was it for you
tonight to kind of set the tone
offensively?
>> Yeah, absolutely. Um, you know, always
nice to get runs early and uh Max shut
him down. So, um, got him early,
continue to add on and it was a good
day.
>> You mentioned Max, not only did he
bounce back from the last one, but just
what impressed you about the way he
worked tonight?
>> I feel like all the pitchers are
working. Um, I mean, he's got so many
pitches and he's just able to control
them. uh finished guys with two strikes
and um you know pitch really deep into
the game and uh that was just a great
game.
>> What do you make of what Spencer Jones
has done against lefties?
>> It's been amazing. I mean his swing is
it's really good swing and um mentally
he understands what he wants to do
against them. He understands what he
needs to do against him. Um righty lefty
on the mound,
>> you know, he doesn't seem phased. He he
has a good approach. He knows where he
wants his body and his swing to be and
it's showing right now. Do you have any
pointers for those matchups? Any advice?
>> No, not really. Um, I feel like he's a
guy that just uh he's a quick learner.
He's a quick adjuster. Um,
>> he's just a talented player.
>> What have you thought about the way
Ramos has handled himself? Not always
getting consistent at bats, but seems to
find meaningful ways to contribute.
>> Yeah, it's hard. It's it's it's hard to
to not not play every day. it's get in
there and face, you know, a baseball
coming at you, but he's just done a
tremendous job. He's think he's done a
great job in right field. Uh he brings
the energy every day in the locker room
as well. And um it's just fun to fun to
be around him and uh today was was good
for him today for sure. How do
>> you feel about where you guys are at
trying to chase down the division now?
It seems like the Rays win every night
that that you guys went to.
>> Yeah, obviously uh you know, control
what you can control. Um, we got to show
up and win and uh we expect to win every
day and we got to keep on rolling.
