Video summary
The closing remarks for the Mini Tus event highlighted a successful gathering centered around Debian, where attendees enjoyed free food featuring Italian truffle sausages and cheese. Despite taking fewer items than usual, which helped keep costs within budget, organizers were able to provide T-shirts as well. The atmosphere was described as happy and smooth, with many people presenting their work; however, the speaker admitted a minor oversight regarding compiled slides for one presentation while expressing gratitude to those who made jokes and asked questions during the event.
Looking ahead, several upcoming conferences were mentioned that might interest the community, starting with Decon 25 in France followed by FOSDEM Backstage in Berlin focused on running free software projects. Further international events include a meeting in Brazil from May first to fourth, which welcomed participants traveling long distances from places like India and Uganda, as well as an Open Source Experience event also taking place in France. Additionally, there is a dedicated configuration management conference scheduled for Gent shortly after the current one, along with C Computer Camp in Germany during August for those who enjoy hiking alongside technology discussions.
The speaker extended sincere thanks to the five sponsors—Evan, Dat, Cabora, and others—who made it possible for the event to generate revenue rather than operate at a loss. Special appreciation was given to the video team, capital D Li crew behind the camera, questioners, speakers despite any minor hiccups like forgotten slides, and most importantly, all attendees who contributed to making the gathering valuable. The speaker emphasized that organizing these events relies heavily on volunteers using their free time, acknowledging the difficulty of scheduling but expressing a strong desire for more frequent meetings in the future.
As the event officially closes with about seven minutes remaining for final discussions before capital D concludes around thirty minutes later, organizers wished everyone well and hoped to see them again soon. The closing sentiment was one of gratitude for the shared experience and encouragement for continued collaboration within the free software community despite logistical challenges. Cheers were offered as a final farewell, marking the end of this particular chapter while looking forward to future gatherings where similar camaraderie can be enjoyed by people from various continents coming together in spirit.

yay oh no it's closing
a a I don't like

comes Tulu sorry I like puns uh first
thing the main track was about Debian
you will be surprised from it but of
course there is a real
track thanks
B um there was also free food because uh
the events means free food or food at
least so first we had at M de con lots
of food wine Italian truffle sausage I
wonder who brought that Italian cheese
too huh and happy people which was
probably the most important thing so uh
we were 45 which was actually quite good
for the de comp you were actually quite
reasonable
you took less than a lot of
things and therefore we were quite
within budget we almost could have
offered uh yeah maybe t-shirts oh
actually you got some T-shirts freely oh
that's fine so we did well I guess um we
are very happy to have welcome everybody
at the Min tus it went smoothly we had a
lot of people were happy to present
stuff uh we will thank speakers at the
end um but first let's talk a bit about
what's to come next that might interest
you first thing is Decon 25 which is in
France I
think uh very is for them to which is
almost in
France of by some margin of 100
kilom uh and if you want to talk about
something it's your place right now do
you think there is something interesting
for the people that will H happen let's
say in few
months it's your time go yeah
uh there's a conference called f
backstage about running free software
projects which is in Berlin in March
okay I mean Berlin's not France but you
know
yeah uh yeah we won't talk about what's
in France or not when it comes to
Germany because I think we have a
problem
here but we love everybody that's that's
what
matters hi hello probably the next
meeting that will will be in maso Brazil
in May 1st to 4th oh everybody's to go
to Brazil so actually I mentioned it at
some points but some people were very
courageous to come from very far away
like India Brazil ug it's a long trip
and for a short time so I know that you
for some people took the time to visit
and things that but it's really cool to
have got some people from other
continents it was really great I'm happy
to see that something will happen in
Brazil thank you very much for welcome
us it was very nice to be here quite
happy uh also in France there is open
source experience if some people are
curious about it it can be interesting I
didn't want to mention it explicitly but
uh I think it's worth it yeah and I've
heard there is a configuration
management dedicated conference in Gent
just after for them oh okay that's just
a few days after for them nice that
might interest you
okay um I think there's also C computer
camp for people who like hiking in
Germany B Congress Congress Congress
Camp is in August yes indeed yeah for
people who don't do something between a
Christmas yeah if you love to give time
to people they look for Angels every
year okay that that that makes a nice
list does somebody else want to addit
something okay so it comes to the thanks
part first of all thanks to our sponsors
this year we had five sponsors Evan dat
cabora and
thanks to them it's quite possible that
actually the event will make money so
it's
great uh the second thing is thanks to
the people who made it valuable so first
of all the video
team also the capital D
Li the people behind the camera we are
not part of the video team but who
helped a
lot the people asking
questions hello the speakers were
supposed to be there but I think I
forgot to compile my slides again so
shame on me the people
love the people think are bad jokes
thanks to you otherwise I would feel
alone
and of course yoga team that I kept last
because I'm part of it so I don't want
to to throw too much flowers to
myself but what would be an event
without the people who attend it so
please Applause
yourself so thank you very much
everybody it was really nice to see you
I hope we do that much more frequently I
know it's hard because we need a lot of
time to organize stuff and we all alling
it on our free time that being said it's
sadly the end so the event is closing in
7 minutes of course you will have some
time to discuss together but the capital
D also ends in let's say I think it's 30
minutes something like that so it's
quite
soon uh we wish to see you all again
very soon cheers thank you
