Claude AI Can Now Edit Your YouTube Videos In 20 Minutes

Video summary

The video introduces a streamlined workflow for using Claude AI to edit YouTube videos, primarily by integrating it with the Descript platform. The presenter demonstrates connecting these two tools so that Claude can drive the editing process within Descript, handling tasks like removing filler words, cutting dead air, and identifying repetitive segments. While this automation can complete a full edit in about twenty-four minutes, the video highlights significant limitations when relying solely on AI for visual adjustments. Specifically, Claude struggles to understand context regarding facial expressions or camera movements, often resulting in awkward zooms that obscure the speaker's face or misplaced captions that do not align with the spoken words. To overcome these visual shortcomings, the presenter argues that users should leverage Descript's native AI features rather than depending entirely on Claude for the final polish. By using Descript's built-in tools to shorten silences, enhance audio quality, and manage text overlays, creators can achieve a professional result much faster than by correcting Claude's mistakes. The core philosophy presented is that editing itself accounts for only a small fraction of a video's success; the true value lies in selecting a strong niche and an idea that solves a specific problem for the audience. Educational content focused on helping people solve problems requires minimal editing, allowing creators to focus on substance rather than flashy production values. The transcript emphasizes that high view counts and revenue are driven by compelling ideas and effective packaging—specifically titles and thumbnails—that convey the video's value proposition instantly. The presenter illustrates this with examples of videos that achieved massive success despite poor camera quality or lack of editing, proving that the content's utility is what drives engagement. Consequently, the recommended strategy involves using AI to handle the tedious mechanical aspects of editing while manually ensuring that the visual elements and messaging are perfectly aligned to convert viewers into subscribers. Ultimately, the video concludes that while AI tools like Claude offer impressive speed for removing filler content, they cannot replace human judgment in creative direction and strategic planning. The presenter invites viewers to a free live training session where they can learn how to identify winning video ideas using specific metrics, such as finding videos with high view-to-subscriber ratios from smaller channels. For those ready to take the next step, options are provided for one-on-one mentorship to develop a comprehensive business plan, reinforcing the message that treating YouTube as a serious business requires both smart tool usage and a deep understanding of audience needs.

I found a new way to let Claude Aai edit the entire YouTube video that's showing on the screen right now. And I'm going to show you what it can actually do. And the results are incredible. But I'm also going to show you what it can't do. Cuz I watched a bunch of YouTube videos about how Claude edited the entire video or I fired my entire content team. And the videos are either complete AI slop that looks terrible or it's very clear that an actual human being was editing the lion's share of the video. I tried just about every AI editing tool out there. I watched just about every tutorial out there and I tried all of the workflows and this one is the best. So, I promise you that this will save you a bunch of time and there's at least one thing in here that you're going to start using this week that will blow your mind. So, everything I show you I ran myself. I'm going to show it on the screen. And every resource, every tool, every instruction is going to be on the screen as well. And in the end, there'll be a 10-second test that'll tell you whether or not your next video is going to work when it comes to AI editing. So, if you appreciate me making this type of content, then let me know by gently cheersing that like button. and let's jump into it right now. Okay, so first thing you want to do is set up your Claude account and you're just going to go to claude.com. And now you've got two options here. You can download the desktop app and use it that way or you can just use it right in your browser. I've actually got the app downloaded on my computer, but honestly, I do prefer the browser version. There's nothing to install and it works from anywhere. So from there, you just click on continue with Google, pick your account, and that's it. You're inside Cloud. Now the next thing we need to do is connect a script to Cloud. But before we do that, let's set up Descript real quick and go over it because that's the editor that Claude's actually going to be driving and it's the one that is the best out of all of the AI editors that we tested. And by the way, this video is not sponsored by Descript or sponsored by Claude or anything like that. These are just the tools that we have tested and we found to be the best. So yeah, just go ahead and log into Descript and just continue with Google. Pick your account and you're in. Okay, so now that you've got your descript account, let's go back to Claude and connect the two together. So, just click this tab right here on the left called customize and then go to connectors. And in the search bar, you just type in descript and it'll show up right there. Then you click connect and it'll ask you to allow it. Then you go ahead and click allow. And that's it. It's connected. You only ever have to do that once. Now, there's one thing I want you to pay attention to here because this is where people mess it up. When it asks you about permissions, you want to find underlord and set it to always allow. Underlord is descripts AI and it's the thing that's actually doing the work. Now, if you don't set that to always allow, Claude is going to stop and ask you for permission on every single step and you'll be sitting there clicking allow over and over again for 10 minutes. So, just set it up once and then let it run. All right, so now let's get a video into Descript. So, let's go to Descript and click new project, then video project. And then you can just drag your video file right in and it's going to create the project for you and transcribe it automatically, which is one thing that descript does. That's pretty cool. So, okay. So, let me show you that this video that I uploaded is not yet edited. Now, notice these gaps at the bottom. Every one of those is dead air. And that is me pausing, thinking, taking a breath, all of it. So, what you want to do now is let it finish transcribing and then just copy the URL up at the top of your browser. So, now let's go back to Claude and click on new chat. And what I like to use here is co-work. Now, you can use the regular Claude chat if you want. That's totally fine, but I do prefer co-work because it's got more capability and it handles a job like this a lot better. So, in the chat, let's go ahead and paste this prompt that I have here. So, I'm going to go ahead and put the prompt on the screen. Additionally, this prompt, as well as any resources that go along with this video to make all of this make sense, will be in the pin comment and the description below. So, click down there to check it out. It should be the third link down there. And then I'm just going to paste this link that we copied earlier in the descript. So, then you just hit enter and let Claude do the work for us. And as you can see, it's going through it and it does the filler words first, then it goes after all the dead air, and then it goes through and finds the repeated tasks. Now, the last part takes the longest by far. And there you go. It's done. All in. That took about 24 minutes to get it done. And just so you know, the longer your video is, the longer all of this is going to take. So, if you're trying this out for the first time tonight, use something short. Don't feed it a 40minute behemoth video right out of the gate. Now, it handed me a link. So, let's go ahead and click and see what we got. You know how everyone tells you to get a job that's exciting and one that you're passionate about and they tell you to follow your dreams? Well, the truth is most of the time when you try to do that, you're going to end up broke. And at the end of the day, somebody's got to be the garbage man because that's what's good for society. And to be honest with you, the highest paying online jobs in 2026, most of them are boring. So, in this video, I'm going to be talking about nine boring but easy online jobs that are quietly paying people six figures. All right, so that is promising, but there are a few things that went wrong there. So, let me show you exactly what went wrong because it's not random. There's definitely a pattern to it. You're going to end up broke. And at the end of the day, somebody's got to be the garbage man. Now, did you catch that? I said cut that part out loud on camera and it left it in. And to Claude, that's just another sentence. Then the zooms. Look where it decided to push in. Nothing's happening there. And it knows when every word was said down to the millisecond, but it doesn't know what my face was doing when I said it. So, it zooms into nothing in a place that doesn't even make sense. And the words popping up, well, the word it picked is fine, but where it put it isn't. And it can tell you which words matter in a sentence, but it can't tell where that word should sit on the screen or whether it's covering my face. So, three different mistakes and one reason. It read my video, but it never watched it. Okay. So, now I'm going to spend some time messing around with Claude and trying to fix some of the problems like where the text went and some of the awkward stuff that it automatically edited. and we'll see what I can make it do. YouTube and building your personal brand just got 10 times easier and nobody's talking about it. And the reason it got 10 times easier is because of AI and specifically cloud AI. And that's what we're going to be talking about in this week's live training that we're doing. Click the link down in the description in the pin comment below. I will be there. I'll be answering questions before, during, and after. We'll also be giving you an AI that's been designed to help you pick your niche if you don't have one in the first place or if you already have one that's going to help you make it 10 times better. So, we worked very hard on this AI. People absolutely love it. We've literally gotten hundreds of comments from people that love it. So, you do not want to miss out on it. And if you're watching this in the future for whatever reason or it's already past the time of the live training, still click on that link because we will be having more live trainings in the future and you will be the first person to know cuz it'll put you on a wait list for that. But with that being said, it's completely free. No reason not to attend. Click that link in the description, the pin comment below and I'll see you on the other side. Okay. So, I spent some time messing around with it and trying to make it look better. and it does look a lot better now. So, I'll go ahead and show you what the new one looks like. You know how everyone tells you get a job that's exciting and one that you're passionate about and they tell you to follow your dreams? Well, the truth is most of the time when you try to do that, you're going to end up broke. And at the end of the day, somebody's got to be the garbage man because that's what's good for society. And to be honest with you, the highest paying online jobs in 2026, most of them are boring. So, in this video, I'm going to be talking about nine boring but easy online jobs that are quietly paying people six figures, right? So, it removed a lot of the mistakes, but it's still not something that a professional editor would do. And honestly, guys, it took me longer to fix this just by typing to claude than if I just would have went into the Descript app and used the native AI features, which I'm going to show you how to do right now. So, the fastest and honestly a much better way to do this is just to do it yourself inside of Descript. So, let me just create another project in Descript and go ahead and edit it myself with the help of the AI in Descript. So, I'm going to go ahead and upload the same video into descript again and wait for it to finish transcribing. There you go. It is done transcribing the video. And let's start with this feature called shorten word gaps. Now, I'm just going to click this option to find all word gaps. And I'm just going to click shorten all. And it will automatically shorten the silences on your video. And then, if there are words or sentences that you don't want, you can literally just highlight it like it's a Google doc and click delete on your keyboard and it will automatically edit it for you. Right? It's gone out of the actual video. And that took me 2 seconds. So, you're just reading through it and deleting what you don't want, like as if you're editing a Google doc. Now, you can also go ahead and press this button right here, which is studio sound. And what this will do is it'll make your sound really good, even if you're recording from a mediocre microphone. Now, another thing you can do, and this is very quick. I mean, it might take you a few minutes at most to go through this and do this, is you highlight the words, then you go to change layout. Media is going to pop up. You can go to something like this and have the words pop up on the screen as you're saying them and it'll look something like this. So, I'll play it. >> Honest with you, the highest paying online jobs in 2026, most of them are boring. >> You can just see how easy it is to edit this. It would take a few minutes max. Now, by the way, here in a few minutes, I'm going to tell you a secret way of editing that involves almost no editing whatsoever so that you can actually just do very simple editing like what I just showed you and still get a lot of views. And this is exactly the tool that most people in our community are using right now. And I'm not promoting them or anything like that. I don't get paid anything at all. I just love the app so much that I want you guys to use it. Just like nurse Jen, right? Jen is in her 60s and she was working as a telealth nurse and she was just burned out on it. Completely done. She wanted income coming in that wasn't tied to a shift somewhere and she found one of my videos, came to our live training, which by the way, we are doing a live training this week where we're going to dive deeper on this type of stuff, help you pick your niche or if you already have a niche, make it 10 times better. and we're going to be giving you an AI tool that took us thousands of hours to help you do this. So, click the link in the description in the pin comment below to check that out. But yeah, Jen ended up going to this live training, joining our community. And three of her videos have gotten over 700,000 views. One went over 800,000. And the first month that Nurse Jen was monetized, she had a $6,000 month, then an $8,000 month, and then $10.5,000 month. And she was watching a video just like this a few months ago, like I said before, with pretty much zero YouTube experience. And the best part isn't even the money. She quit the nursing job that was burning her out. And right now she's traveling around the country in a camper van. And she literally records her videos inside the camper van and edits in there using to script. And it takes her almost no time whatsoever, which I just think is awesome. And nobody edits her videos for her. She does it alone and she does it in her 60s in a van doing exactly what I just showed you. And she's been committed to uploading three videos a week, which she does easily. So, if the reason you haven't started yet is that you don't know how to edit, sit with that one for a second. Now, here's the thing, though, and this is going to sting a little. If you think the editing is the most important part of a YouTube video, you're wrong. I mean, look at this one right here. This guy sits in front of a potato for a camera. The quality is absolutely terrible. And the video is about 4 minutes long, and it wasn't edited at all. Not even a single edit in the entire video. He just recorded it and put it straight up on YouTube. He even used a still shot from the video as the thumbnail. And the video is called How to Make Pickle Pepsi at Home for Free. And that video got 10 million views and made him somewhere around $53,000 just from AdSense alone. No cuts, no graphics, no captions. Nobody watched that video because of the edit. There was no edit. They watched it because the idea was irresistible. Now, I know exactly what you're thinking right now. Great, Shane. So, I'll just upload whatever and get lucky. No, because here's the part that that number leaves out. It took him over 400 videos before one of them actually hit and got a lot of views. 400, right? He was consistently uploading for four years before that video took off. Now, compare that to my brother Zach, whose very first video blew up right when he uploaded it. Now, for context, Zach is in his 50s and he's been in the trades for almost 30 years, and it's been taking a real toll on his body. So, he told me, "Hey, bro, how do I make money without wrecking my body anymore?" And he thought I was going to recommend a remote job or some kind of cushy office job or maybe some sort of certification. And I told him, "Just start a YouTube channel." And of course, he gave me every excuse in the book. He told me, "Oh, I'm too old for YouTube. YouTube's for teenagers dancing around doing pranks. You know, I'm not tech-savvy enough. You I don't know how to set up a camera, right?" He never even recorded a single video in his life besides just recording random videos on his phone. And I just said, "Bro, just trust me. Just do what I tell you." And he did. And the very first video that he did blew up and got 822,000 views. 29 days after it was uploaded, he made $214 in a single day. That's a $78,000 year run rate. So, he went from zero to a full-time income in less than one month. And to end his first year on YouTube, he made over $18,000 in a single month. So, that's 400 videos versus one. Same platform, same year. And neither one of those guys outedited the other one. The only difference is that one of them knew what he was going to make a video about before he ever hit record. And he had the right niche and the right idea, which meant he didn't have to overedit his video. And you can do the kind of editing that Zach does on his channel with the script on a short video in a matter of minutes. But the whole thing is you have to pick the right idea where you're actually solving problems for people. Because the types of videos that are easy to edit and the types of videos that don't need a lot of views in order to make money are the types of videos where you are helping people solve problems. See, if you're making an entertainment video, yeah, you're probably going to have to edit that because the purpose of the video is to entertain. But if you're making a video where the purpose of the video is just to simply share your knowledge and help someone solve a problem and educate them, then you don't need to edit the video that much. And that's exactly what I'm going to be talking about in the live training that we're going to be doing this week. And we're going to be talking about how we've helped people in our community generate over $100 million in revenue using these methods. Now, remember how simple Nurse Jen's editing is. And also, she literally recorded that video on her webcam. So, that just proves that when you're helping people solve their problems and educating them, you don't have to have fancy editing and you don't have to even record with a nice camera. The idea is everything. So, let me show you quickly how to find the right idea. So, I'm going to use Cloud for this, too. And honestly, this is where it's genuinely good. This is the job that it should have been doing the whole time. Now, there's one thing you need in the first place, and that's your niche. And you've got to know who you're making videos for before you go looking for what to make. And I'm going to be giving away the exact tool that I use for that at the live training this week. So, if you haven't nailed that down yet, go register. The link's down below. It's the Niche Validator Pro. So, let's say my niche is right here. Although, honestly, what I'd actually recommend is using this right here, the little mic button. Instead of just sitting there typing everything out, you can literally just talk to it. Kind of like you're talking to a friend, and it picks all of it up. And I use that way more than I type. It's faster, and you end up explaining things a lot more naturally than you would if you were typing them out. So, we'll send that off. And while it's working, let me tell you exactly what it's looking for, because this is the important part. is looking for videos that got 100k views or more from a channel that has 100,000 subscribers or less with at least a 5:1 viewstoscriber ratio. And what that combination tells you is really simple. It means that the video did not blow up because the channel's subscribers. It blew up because of the idea. And let me show you what that actually looks like because we did this for one of our community members recently. So this is one of the videos that we found for our community member. And you can see that it got 109,000 views from a channel with 4.5,000 subscribers. So, greater than 100,000 views, less than 100,000 subscribers, and at least a 5:1 views to subscriber ratio. This one's about 20 to1. And that's a video with every single one of those filters, which tells you that the idea did the heavy lifting, not the channel. So, we brought that to Weldon, our community member, and he made his version of it, and it blew up and it has over 170,000 views, which is 75.9 times what his channel normally does. And that's the icon method. So, as you can see, wasn't a fancy camera. Super simple editing. probably didn't take him hardly any time at all to edit this video. And Descript can do that for you, right? It takes out a lot of the busy work of editing out the silences and the ums and the a's and all that kind of thing. And then you can just literally edit almost like you're just editing a Google doc. So that's what you do, the icon method. Find the video that already proved that the idea works, then make that version for your people. And there we go. It came back with these options right here. And I really like this one in particular. So what I'm going to do now is copy that and paste it right back into Cloud. And then I'm going to use the holy trifecta skill and that's going to take the idea and give me four things. First, it gives me a title that's in the same lane as the one that already proved that it works. Then it gives me an actual thumbnail mockup. And it even tells me what my face should be doing and exactly what words go on there. And then at the end of it, it gives me a few intro options that I can use for the video. And let me show you what this looks like when somebody nails it. Look at this video from one of our community members, Dr. Danny. The title is for ages 60 to 80. If you still have these five abilities, you're beating aging. and the thumbnail just says, "You're beating aging." So, over 970,000 views, and that is a hundred times more than what her channel normally does. Now, look at what she did there. Right? The title and the thumbnail are saying the exact same thing. They're not fighting each other. They're not adding to each other. They're the same message. The title tells you who it's for and what you get. The thumbnail says the payoff in three words and points right at you. Now, you might be thinking, "Hold on. You spent this whole video telling me the idea is the most important part. So, why am I now messing around with the thumbnail?" Fair question. Here's the answer. When somebody's scrolling, they are not reading your title. Not first. The very first thing that hits them is the picture, the thumbnail. So, you can have the best idea on the planet, but if the thumbnail doesn't get that idea across on its own, then they're never going to look at the title, and they're never going to end up clicking on the video. They're just going to scroll right past you. So, your job is to make sure the idea in your title actually shows up in the picture, right? So, essentially, the idea needs to be expressed in the thumbnail, the title, and the intro. So, I hope you get the point now, right? Because yes, you can let Claude edit your videos, but it's not going to look good. And you're going to spend more hours going back and forth with it, trying to get it right, than if you just would have spent some time doing it yourself using the native Descript features, both the AI editing, of course, as well as some of the manual features. And on top of that, the editing of your video is maybe 5% of whether it actually succeeds. And that might be being generous because what actually matters is the niche that you pick. Actually, making sure that you're making a channel where you're solving people's problems. and then the idea of the video and how you package that idea so that somebody can look at your thumbnail alone and know exactly what you're showing them and then they're just watching the video for educational purposes. They're watching the video because it helps them to solve a problem, not because they want to be entertained. So, if you want to get that down, come to my live training this week. That's where I'm going to be walking you through the most important parts of a channel and your videos. It's completely free. It's super valuable. You can ask me questions before, during, and after the live training. and I'll be giving away my niche validator pro which will either help you pick your niche in the first place or if you already have one, it'll help you make it 10 times better. Plus, I'll be showing you how you can actually monetize your channel. So, links in the description and the comment below. It should be the first link down there. Now, I know that 99% of you are going to enjoy my free videos, get a ton of value out of them. You're going to download the resources in the description, the pin comment below, get a ton of value out of that, and you're going to attend my live trainings and get a ton of value out of that. And all of that is completely free. And we are never going to end up working together. and that is totally fine. I always want to give 10 or even 100 times more value than what I receive. With that being said, there's going to be 1% of you out there, maybe 0.1% of you out there who want a one- on-one mentorship experience or you literally just want us to do the work for you. And so, if that sounds like you, go ahead and click the second link in the description in the pin comment below to book a one-on-one call with us. On this call, we'll figure out where you are right now, where you want to be. We'll make a plan to get there, and we'll see if we're a good fit to work together or not. But only book the call if you are very serious about growing and making money on YouTube and treating it like a business. We'll let about 18% of people who apply into the call. And we are very picky about who we work with because we want to make sure that you're the type of person who's going to get results. And that's also why we have a 90-day money back guarantee as well. So the types of people that we typically work with are going to be professionals with at least 10 years of experience or overachievers. Basically people who have something that's worth teaching, problems that they've actually solved in their life, experiences they've had that they can help other people solve as well. But we also work with business owners who want to get more views, grow their brand, get more leads, get more sales from YouTube. We also work with YouTubers who are getting a lot of views, but they're struggling with monetization. And we also work with YouTubers who are crushing it, but they want to crush it even harder. And we work with people who have large followings on other social media platforms, or they have like an audience cuz they wrote a book and they want to bring that audience over to YouTube cuz they know that YouTube is the absolute best when it comes to monetization. So, if that sounds like you, go ahead and click that second link in the description, the pin comment below to book a call and we look forward to talking with you. With that being said, check out this video right here to see exactly how we helped my brother Zach go from zero to full-time income in less than one month.
