Classroom Set Up Day 4 | Adding the Finishing Touches to My 4th Grade Classroom | Little Helpers 💕✨
Watch on YouTubeVideo summary
On Day Four of her classroom setup journey, the creator welcomes two enthusiastic fifth-grade helpers who assist with various finishing touches despite their busy schedules. The day's agenda includes fine-tuning organizational systems and preparing for upcoming tasks like printing materials. Key projects involve hanging new rechargeable battery-operated light bulbs to improve lighting without needing external power sources, completing a birthday wall that tracks student birthdays both on the main display and inside cabinets, and sorting colored pencils into drawers. Additionally, they address minor maintenance issues such as scrubbing pencil marks off walls and organizing library books onto newly assembled shelves or carts designed for book storage.
A significant portion of the video is dedicated to testing two new Niimbot smart label printers sent by the company, which serve as a game-changer for labeling supplies efficiently. The creator demonstrates how these Bluetooth-connected devices allow users to customize fonts, designs, and clip art directly through an app before printing on various media like vintage-style ribbons or thermal stickers in colors such as pink, yellow-brown "baked," and multicolor options that match her aesthetic. She showcases practical applications of the labels for organizing remote controls, planning personalized birthday cup decorations, and managing folders from previous years to create new ones if needed this school year.
The video also features a fun furniture swap with another teacher named Mercedes, where desks are exchanged to better fit each classroom's theme; one room adopts a dark academia style suitable for wooden desks while the other embraces a lighter vibe matching gray tables. This adjustment allows the creator to use her pink gaming mat in her new teacher space and move document cameras to positions where they can be seen from standing height. By mid-afternoon, most physical organization tasks are complete, including cleaning boards, assembling student cages, and deciding whether to repurpose an extra cart or take it home for bathroom storage needs.
Although some loose ends remain regarding math game organization into a filing cabinet and finalizing paper-based materials, the creator feels satisfied with the progress made on her favorite classroom yet. She acknowledges that while there is still work left involving administrative tasks and printing, the core setup is nearly finished after weeks of effort supported by student helpers. The video concludes with an invitation for viewers to engage in the comments section using a specific emoji if they enjoyed the update before signing off until the next installment of her classroom transformation series.

>> Good morning everyone. Welcome back to
another Apples and TR's vlog.
Today is day four of classroom set up
and we are ready. I have two little
helpers in here today. I don't know if
I'm allowed to show you guys on YouTube,
so
>> Okay.
>> Come over here.
Don't So for number one
and come on. Go.
And helper number two.
There's my babies. My babies.
This is my little sis.
>> Yeah.
>> We decided we were sisters on day What?
Day one? Day two of school?
>> Mhm.
>> Yeah. Um
they are
big old icky fifth graders now.
Um but they're here to help. So we're
very excited. They have They have their
little jobs they're going to start
working on. Katie is washing cabinets
and then she's going to touch up the
paint on the cabinets cuz they're all
chipped.
Katie's going to wash cabinets and then
touch up the paint cuz they are chipped.
>> I'm not good at painting.
>> I'll teach you. I'll teach you how to do
it.
>> I'm ready.
>> And Max, why don't you start doing the
clipboards?
>> Um what do you
>> Yeah? Okay.
>> Wait, but
>> Put them in the seat sacks.
>> Wait, but I have to be like careful.
>> Yeah.
>> I have to be careful cuz
>> Yeah. I think I have a sponge. I might
even have an apron you can wear.
>> Yeah.
>> I'll find the apron. Okay. So today's
day four. We made a lot of progress
yesterday. When I say we, I mean me.
Around. Okay. So this is what we're
working with. We don't have a ton to do.
It's mostly just fine-tuning stuff and
organizing and then I have to start
printing everything. Um so this is what
the room is looking like. We're going to
do the birthday wall today. We're going
to organize the colored pencils today.
Well, we are not. Katie has decided she
is going to champ that job. Uh I am also
going to hang the lights cuz I have
fishing wire and a a stool.
A ladder. I have a ladder.
We're going to reorganize the library
books cuz those need help.
We're going to
put these new books away.
We're going to Ooh, there's some walls
that need washing, too. So, Katie, maybe
before you finish with the sponge,
just kind of cruise around and look at
all the walls. There's like pencil marks
that like
icky, gooey stuff. Just give it a little
scrub.
No.
I don't I don't wash the roof. This is
my current favorite purchase. These are
rechargeable battery-operated light
bulbs in the correct size and they
actually work in the light bulbs. So,
you literally just turn it on and so you
don't need a light um lamp attached to
power and then they come with
rechargeable like cords. And then so I
put them in these lamps over here
and I cut the cords out of the lamps so
that they could sit on the counter top
and the remote turns them on.
You just point
>> to the lamp and it turns them on. Isn't
that cool? That's my new favorite toy.
All right. Something else we got in the
mail today. Well, we got it last night.
Niimbot has reached out to me and has
asked me to check out their smart label
printers. So, I have two different ones
here that I'm going to try.
Um one of them is called
This one's the Niimbot N1 label printer,
battery-operated.
And then we also have the smart label
printer.
Um and this is called the B31 Pro. Look
how cute it's like vintage. And so these
are label printers. We're going to try
them out. They also came with the ribbon
and carbon tape set. So I'm assuming
this is supplies you need to print your
labels. And then they also came with two
thermal label
uh
packs. So we're going to check those out
and potentially use them for some
labeling projects. I will have both of
these labels uh these label makers and
their supplies linked at the top of the
description box below so you guys can
check them out. I will also have a
coupon code uh written down there so you
guys can get some money off if you need
a little label maker in your life. So
we're going to check those out in a
little bit.

>> Okay, friends. It is 10:30. We haven't
been filming much because I have all
these rugrats in here and they're
talking a lot. But that's okay. So, what
we've accomplished is the ceiling
lights, which are not finished. I need
to order more hooks cuz I don't like the
pattern that they're making at all.
But it's fine.
Um so, it'll be okay. We hung the disco
ball. It's up there by a magnet. Please
pray that it doesn't fall on anyone's
head.
The magnet's pretty strong though. I
think it'll be okay.
Uh we finished the birthday wall, so all
the birthdays are written on there now.
And I went ahead and hung the birthday
list inside of the cabinet, too, just so
that I know when the birthdays are.
What else have we accomplished?
>> I don't know.
>> They have started sorting the color
pencils, but nobody wants to do
>> And then
>> that job.
Katie's finished the waiting room.
>> I
>> We finished numbering all the ducks.
>> I have painted the wall.
>> All the ducks
>> I decided to use these for student
numbers. Um and then the extra animals
are in here. We don't know what we're
going to use them for yet, but we have
an idea.
>> Two little animals like a crab.
>> What else? Oh, yes. We have labeled all
of the remotes that I have
that I have.
And oh, you lost the back of one.
We've labeled all the remotes that I
have for all of my gadgets and let me
show you what I used to label them.
All right. So, I used the Niimbot B21
Pro labeler as well as the Nimbot N1
labeler. These, can I just tell you, are
so cool. So, you connect them via
Bluetooth using the Nimbot app. And
then, there's tons of different
templates and styles that you can choose
from, but they just print the cutest
little labels. I went very basic for my
first try cuz I was just kind of playing
with it. Um but you can pretty much add
like any design, any font. They have
little like pictures or clip art that
you can add to the different um labels.
But you just print them
using these little label makers, and
they're so nifty. This one So, these two
labels came from the Nimbot 91 Sorry,
N1.
And then,
these three came from the B21 Pro.
I'm I'm not 100% sure, but I'm pretty
positive you can purchase different
color label tapes.
Um
and probably different colored ink. I'm
going to have to check on that before I
Okay, so this is pink ribbon. Oh, they
sent me pink.
>> [gasps]
>> Cute. Okay, so you can print on ribbon,
on stickers. And then, they also sent me
the thermal labels. So, I believe that's
what goes in this guy. And they sent me
yellow. Oh, this is called baked. Okay,
so this is in the shade baked.
Oh, that's so cute. It's like a
yellowy-brown color. And then, they also
sent
multicolor.
Oh, this is awesome. I love this. Okay,
so multicolor comes with like,
obviously,
multicolor tape
uh and pink
They clearly know my my style. And then
more of the baked color. So, this is
really cool. If you check out there I'm
I believe that they have an Amazon shop
um as well as their own website.
But from what I can tell here, you can
purchase different colored ribbon and
labels. This is ribbon. This is like a
creamy ribbon.
And then you just print your labels on
either ribbon or the thermal label label
stickers.
And then again, you can change the font
and the design for each of your labels.
You connect them both via Bluetooth. And
then you just put it in the app what you
want, and then you hit print.
And it's good to go. This is so cool.
Look how cute this one is. It's like
vintage
looking.
We played around with this a little bit
this morning. I'm very eager to play
with it a little bit more and see what
cool things I can label. So, I started
with just my remotes. But I had the
cutest idea. Well, actually Nimble had
the cutest idea. They thought it would
be super cute to print a personalized
label for all of the birthday cups that
I'm going to be making all year. But I'm
probably going to end up using this to
label
like folders and supplies.
And it's just going to be such a great
tool. I don't have a label maker.
Um I was just doing kind of like old
school printing on sticker paper and
then cutting it out, but this is such a
game changer. So, anyway, if you guys
are interested in either of these Nimble
label makers, I'm going to have them
linked right in the description box
below as well as a a
coupon code for just you guys, for just
my viewers.
And I'm pretty sure like I'm going to
have to go on the website or on the
Amazon store and check it out, but it
looks like you're going to be able to
purchase a lot of different colored
ribbons or carbon tapes and also a lot
of different colored thermal labels, so
the stickers that you actually print.
So, we're going to play around with this
a little bit more in the next week or
two and I'll continue to check in with
you guys and show you what I'm using to
label. Um using it to label. But, this
is so cool. So, Niimbot, thank you so
much for sending this over. This is a
complete game-changer.
Um
yeah.
>> [laughter]
>> My [gasps] dreams just came true.
Mercedes just came in
and was like, "Hey." I said, "You're
going to hate me, but can we switch
desks because it doesn't fit my vibe, my
dark academia vibe."
>> [laughter]
>> These desks are going to fit her
classroom theme so much better. She's
doing dark academia with sprinkles of
Harry Potter and Hogwarts and
the the wooden desks just fit her room
so much better and the gray and black
ones that match that table are going to
fit my vibe so much better. So, we just
I just I win-win. So, since we have all
these little tiny humans, we're we're
doing the great furniture swap. Good
job, guys. You're crushing it.
>> Again.
>> Crushing it.
>> For the third time.
>> You guys, I'm obsessed with my
classroom.
I think this is my favorite classroom
I've ever had. Like
my heart feels so happy.
All right, let's talk. So, the girls
have finished
the colored pencil job. They emptied all
the colored pencils from this bin into
the respective drawers.
We still have a little trash pile and
stuff to clean up, but
that task is done.
We swapped desks with Mercedes and so
now everything is a little bit lighter.
We did have to make a little bit of a
change because, and this is probably not
a bad thing,
I have too many books for the
bookshelves that I have. So, I decided
to bring this library cart over here cuz
that's kind of what this is intended for
anyway.
I did put it together weird, but I
already threw out the
extra little basket thing that goes on
top. So, what I might have to do is put
some book bins up here or a basket.
And then
this is just another
bookshelf, um an extension of this. So,
I got to figure out where I'm going to
put it.
Um it'll be fine.
No one ever complained having too many
books. Or maybe I need to go through my
books and like
chuck the ones that nobody reads. That
is an idea, too.
So, what we ended up doing was we had
more of these gray desks. So, I ended up
just putting one over here like I used
to do. Um
and it's just going to be
you know, used for what I needed it to
be used for anyway.
Um and it was fine because I wasn't
finding anything to put on the two lower
shelves because they lean um because it
is made for books. So, this works out
better.
Um
and [clears throat] we had an extra
desk.
So,
uh yeah. And then I also swapped out the
short desks for the taller ones back
here in my teacher space. Which is
perfect because now my legs will fit
under it. I found my pink
um
gaming mat that I used to have when I
was a gamer. Um and so I put it on top,
so now it's way cuter.
And then this little checkered one is
going to live over here.
I'm thinking about
moving my document camera to this end.
That way I can like stand here and see
what it's projecting because if I stand
right here, I cannot see what it's
projecting on the TV. Like I literally
can't see it. So, I think I'm going to
just swap sides
um
of this, that way
this end is kind of where I can be
so I can see everything.
And then, what else?
Um
There's a lot to do left, but I don't
know where to start. So, I feel like I'm
just in that stage where I'm like doing
circles again, which is fine.
Um but I need to like tie up some loose
end projects here. I have this extra
cart. I might take it home
cuz I don't have a use for it
anymore.
And I could probably use that in like a
bathroom.
All right, it is 2:15 in the afternoon,
and I'm pretty much done for the day.
We're just going to putz around and
maybe print some stuff and
work at the desk and do some admin
stuff, but let me quickly just show you
around the room.
And I think we're pretty much finished
here
with the classroom. I think everything
else is just paper stuff.
Okay.
So, [snorts]
we got Mia's cage put up and put
together.
We got the board all wiped and cleaned.
Supplies is all sorted. Teacher desk is
done.
Little worker bees.
The library is is probably as good as
it's going to get.
I need to figure out what to do with
this cart, though. I'm not a fan of it
just sitting there in the middle of the
room.
Not a huge fan of that.
Um
This is all stuff I don't really need.
Uh it depends on how many kids bring
folders. These are folders from last
school year that we collected um instead
of sending home. And so, if any kids
this year don't bring a folder, I can
pull from here and make them one.
Um
But, yeah, the place is pretty much
done. I have to
put These are um
math games that I need to organize and
put away.
Um I'm thinking I might create
a filing cabinet that has all of them in
it so that I can just pull
them when I need them.
Um but, yeah, I think
I think we're done.
So, that is going to end today's
classroom setup video. So, if you stuck
it out to the end, drop a
dinosaur emoji in the comments.
And don't forget to follow me on all my
socials, and I'll see you in the next
one. Bye, guys.
