Circulate Positive Energy Through Your Chakras | Qi Gong
Watch on YouTubeVideo summary
This lesson demonstrates how to integrate the Grand Tai Chi movement, also known as carrying the cauldron, with a specific up-and-down energy flow technique to circulate positive energy through the chakras. The practice begins by connecting the crown chakra at the top of the head to the pineal gland, then guiding the energy down through the throat and jaw to the heart chakra located in the sternum. From there, the energy continues downward past the solar plexus to the dantian before finally grounding itself through the feet into the earth. This downward flow encourages a sensation of relaxation where the feet feel connected to the ground, allowing the practitioner to visualize a blanket of light or water washing through the entire body before focusing that energy into precise points within each chakra center.
The instruction emphasizes shifting from a general, diffuse feeling of energy to a highly focused awareness by imagining small marbles of light at specific locations such as behind the sternum and solar plexus. Once this precision is established, the practitioner learns to move through these centers in one smooth, continuous motion without stopping, ensuring that each point is still felt even while maintaining fluidity. The lesson then introduces the upward flow, starting by gathering energy from below the feet and squeezing the perineum, legs, and gut to propel the energy up the spine. This rising energy passes through the ming men at the base of the spine, travels up the back past the shoulder blades, reaches the base of the skull, and culminates at the crown chakra before relaxing again.
To master this circulation, the video combines breath, physical movement, visualization, and meditation into a single cohesive practice. Practitioners are advised to move slowly enough to distinctly feel the connection between each energy center while maintaining open eyes during the upward flow to expand awareness. By repeatedly squeezing the perineum and visualizing the small ball of energy traveling up the spine to the crown, the student learns to control the direction and intensity of the energy. This dual-directional practice allows for both grounding energy into the earth and drawing it up from the source, creating a balanced flow that integrates the body, mind, soul, and spirit.
Ultimately, the goal of this exercise is to help individuals integrate their entire being by mastering the art of directing energy with precision and intention. The instructor notes that while beginners may initially experience a broad washing sensation, advanced practice involves pinpointing exact locations within the chakras to refine energy awareness. By combining these techniques, students can effectively circulate positive energy through their chakra system, fostering a deeper connection between their physical movements and internal spiritual states. This comprehensive approach prepares the practitioner for further levels of study by establishing a strong foundation in moving energy both top-down and bottom-up within the Grand Tai Chi form.

In this lesson, I'll show you how to
combine the grand Tai Chi movement
or the carry the cauldron movement
with the
up and down energy flow that we just
learned.
So,
let's start with the grand Tai Chi.
So, as you're doing this,
now that we've connected all those
energy centers, every time we do this,
we're going to connect
the crown chakra. As we come here, we
feel that crown chakra. Connect to the
middle of your head, the pineal gland.
Then connect it
to
your heart chakra.
So, your
your sternum or your thymus gland, okay?
We're going to make a quick stop there.
Which is a little bit above your solar
plexus.
Okay, right
in your sternum, the hard part here.
Basically, in between your nipples.
Right here.
And then come down to your solar plexus
in the middle.
Then go down to your dantian.
Okay?
And what we'll do now is we're going to
actually
connect it to the feet. So, we're going
to go down to the feet.
Okay, so now we're not going to go and
stay with the dantian. We go down to the
feet. So, once again, feel the crown
chakra.
Now it's connecting to
the middle of your head.
Pineal gland.
Now it's going down your throat, down
your jaw, down your throat.
Down to your heart
chakra.
Okay, the heart chakra should feel
kind of expansive and warm.
And then you come down to the solar
plexus gland chakra.
Then down to the dantian.
Feel that and then just let it flow.
Spit up and then go through the feet. As
you go to feet, relax the feet and they
should feel it going into the ground.
Okay?
So, do that. Right now, I'm making the
stops
at each one.
I want to make sure I feel each one.
And the smaller you can make that ball
of light, then the more precise
your energy awareness is going to be,
okay?
So, at first, you may feel just like
a washing sensation,
just like a blanket of light that just
flows through your body,
your entire body, like your entire head,
entire shoulders, your entire torso,
entire leg, which is good, too. You want
to feel that.
Okay, just feel
like just a
like a like a very blanket
blanket feeling of
energy or just
could be just water, just
washing through your whole body, okay?
But then, you what you want to do is
focus that into a little marble, into
specific points. So, focus down there,
little marble. The smaller the marble,
the more precise.
Down to the ear, pineal gland.
Down to your heart
chakra, sternum.
This is inside your sternum, so behind
your sternum, about an an inch.
And then, solar plexus, behind the solar
plexus, about an inch.
And then, tan, and then, the feet.
Okay?
So, whenever you're doing this to ground
Tai Chi,
instead of just having it wash down,
now we're going to go through precise
chakra centers and use your awareness to
imagine those points.
And now, instead of stopping in each
one,
I'm going to just slowly connect them
all together.
In one smooth motion without stopping.
But I want to feel
each center as I go through it.
So you have to go slow.
So that I can feel the energy and the
connection through all the centers.
One more time.
Breathe in.
Crown.
Pineal gland.
Heart.
Solar plexus.
Dantian.
And bottom of the feet. Okay.
Now let's do the opposite.
Going upwards.
So gather energy. Imagine you're
gathering energy below your feet.
Then start squeezing the feet, squeezing
the inside of your legs, squeeze the
perineum,
squeeze your
your gut.
And it's going up.
Open your eyes.
Wide.
Expand.
And then let it fall. Okay, so we're
just going to
feel just the general
energy through your whole body. So just
imagine the whole energy
rising up
through your torso.
Okay. So do that a few times.
And relax. Breathe in.
Feel it going up your spine.
And relax. Okay, so do that a few times
so you can feel
just the general energy rising through
out your whole body. Now let's start to
do the pinpoint. You want to pinpoint
the perineum.
Then your dantian.
Then your ming men.
then up to the back of your spine then
up to your Jade Palace then up to your
crown, okay? So, we're going to go
squeeze
Okay, go to perineum. Feel that
little ball
of light.
Now go to
your Ming Moon, the back of your spine.
Behind your
don't turn right here.
Now feel the middle between your
shoulder blades.
Now feel the back of your neck
base of the skull.
Now your eyes should be open. Now feel
the crown chakra.
And then at that point
uh I should be here and then let it fall
everything.
So, once again
squeeze I feel
perineum
back of the spine
going up the back of the spine, back of
the neck
crown.
And then relaxed.
You can just relax let it just fall down
to your don't turn again.
Okay, so
once again squeeze
perineum back
back of the head
Okay, and then
crown and then relax, okay?
So
one more time
going to squeeze
perineum small ball of energy
connect to your spine
shoulder shoulder blades
back of the neck
base of the skull
I'm not
talking fast enough. Base of the skull
crown
and then relax eyes kind of close a bit.
Okay, so do that.
Probably better be doing without
talking.
So
All right, so now we're combining
our breath,
movement,
visualization,
energy centers,
and meditation
all in the same practice.
We moved energy from top down,
connecting
the energy centers, and we also move
energy going up from the bottom up.
So, I hope this helps you to integrate
your entire body, mind, soul, and
spirit.
I'll see you in level three.
