Video summary
Pastor Pazarnsky from Verity Baptist Church is excited to announce an upcoming mission trip to Cebu, Philippines, scheduled for February 17th through the 27th of 2027. This significant journey will take place in close coordination with Brother Dave Cabantala, a dedicated missionary who has been serving the Lord in Cebu for approximately ten years and is celebrating his church's anniversary in October. The primary goals of this trip include visiting Brother Dave's church community and engaging in soul-winning efforts within his area. A video introduction features Brother Dave sharing details about his family, their ministry history, and the various challenges they have faced, including natural disasters like super typhoons and earthquakes, as well as the personal struggle of his wife battling cancer. Despite these hardships, the family has witnessed God's faithfulness, grace, and provision, which continues to sustain their ministry work.
The Cabantala family demonstrates remarkable dedication through the active involvement of all its members in ministry activities. Brother Dave's wife, Angel, remains faithful in her service despite her health condition, leading ladies' meetings and providing devotionals to help women grow in their spiritual walk. Their four sons are also deeply committed; Tai serves as both a song leader and youth leader, organizing programs to encourage young people to serve God, while Jay assists with media and graphic design for the ministry. Additionally, Jay preaches and supports youth programs, Kai is involved in preaching, and the youngest son, Ace, has expressed a desire to preach in the future. Beyond traditional church services, the family runs a basketball ministry every Sunday where they invite young men from the area to play, using the time after games to share the gospel and have seen many souls come to Christ as a result.
The ministry in Cebu is strategically located near major schools, markets, malls, and popular spots like the Baywalk, offering numerous opportunities to engage with students and families enjoying ocean views. Through consistent soul-winning seminars and weekly outreach groups, the church has trained many members to become effective evangelists, resulting in numerous visitors who have been saved, baptized, and joined the congregation. The video concludes with a heartfelt appeal for prayer, love, and financial support from the Verity Baptist Church community and beyond. Due to rising fuel prices, there is an urgent need for donations to cover the costs of sending soul winners to Cebu in February, with 100% of contributions designated specifically for this mission trip. Whether individuals can join the physical trip or not, the church encourages everyone to consider supporting these efforts to ensure that more people can be saved and plugged into a healthy church community in Cebu.

Hi, this is Pastor Pazarnsky from Varity
Baptist Church. I'm excited to announce
our upcoming mission trip to Sabu,
Philippines in February of 2027. The
exact dates are February 17th through
February 27th. This is in coordination
with our missionary in Sabu, Brother
Dave Cabantala. We're excited to partner
with him and have a big trip coming up
in 2027 to visit his church and to do
soul-winning in his area. Here's a quick
video introducing brother Dave
Cabantala.
>> Hello, Pastor Pzarnski and Verity
Baptist Church family. Greetings from
Cebu, Philippines. This is missionary
Dave Kabentala here and I would just
like to share a little bit about myself,
my family, and our ministry here in
Cebu, Philippines. We've been serving
the Lord now here about 10 years. Matter
of fact, we're going to be celebrating
our 10-year church anniversary this
coming October. Through the years, my
family and I faced and experienced many
challenges such as super typhoons,
earthquakes, massive flooding. But the
greatest challenge that we are facing
right now is my wife's battle with
cancer. But through it all, we have seen
God's blessings. We have experienced his
grace, his protection, and provision for
our family. God has been so good and has
been so faithful to us. So we also
remain faithful. The ministry is still
continuing on and we thank the Lord for
that. My wife Angel, despite of her
condition, she was faithfully serving
the Lord. She's very involved in our
ladies, holding ladies meetings, giving
devotionals, and helping them with their
spiritual walk with God. Also, my four
sons are heavily involved in the
ministry as well. My oldest son, Tai, is
our song leader. He is also our youth
leader as well. And alongside with my
wife, he holds youth programs to help
encourage our young people to serve the
Lord and to live their life for the
Lord. My other son Jay is also involved
in the ministry. He preaches. He also
assists Tai during our youth programs
and also he is very uh gifted when it
comes to media and graphic designing.
And he used his talent for the ministry.
My other son, Kai, also preaches and my
youngest one, Ace, also has a desire to
want to preach one day. So, God be the
glory. And it's just a blessing to see
how my boys love and have a heart for
the ministry. Every Sunday after church,
my sons started a basketball ministry
where they would rent out a basketball
court and they would invite young men
from the area to come into play. And
after the game, they would use that
opportunity for them to present the
gospel. And we have seen many souls come
to Christ. and we have seen many fruit.
Matter of fact, there were some who even
came and visited our church. We also
have the majority of our church members
who've been trained through our
soul-winning seminar and have become
effective soul winners. We have groups
from our church who goes out soulwinning
several times a week. Our church is
located around major schools, markets,
malls, and one in particular place uh
the Baywalk where many students,
families would hang out just to enjoy
the ocean view. And it's a great
opportunity for us to talk to people and
to present the gospel. Through our
soulwinning efforts, we have seen many
people saved. We have seen visitors come
to our church, baptized, and actually
some of them have joined our church and
are faithfully serving the Lord even
today. I want to thank you so much for
all of your prayers, love, and financial
support. And thank you so much for
allowing us to be part of your missions
trip. And I'm looking forward to see
what God is going to do. See you soon,
and God bless. We've got all kinds of
