Bronson Reed Has Returned And Cody Is A Dumb Babyface

What's good, Josh? Ross back at again with another video. And we got to talk about what happened on Sunday night's main event tonight. Shout out to everyone that was uh joined us on uh YouTube, Patreon, and Twitch. We got to talk about what happened tonight. There was really only two matches that I was really invested in, and I'm going to start with those matches. I normally start, you know, with, you know, how the matches played out in order, but tonight is a little bit different because I got to get some things off my chest. So, we're going to start with the main event and then we'll talk about Oba and um and Braun Breaker and then we'll get into the uh the matches with the the ladies and and what happened with uh Lil Yachty and Drake Williams and Baron Corbin. We'll we'll talk about those other matches later, but I got to talk about obviously the main event. This was the match I was looking forward to the most. And I will start off saying I did enjoy this match. I enjoyed this match. This was very entertaining. I like how they started it off. I love how Cody came out there. He's He's focused. He's fired up. He's ready to, you know, confront Randy Orton. Randy Orton music hit. Randy doesn't come down the ramp. He tries to come from behind and hit him with a RKO, but Cody knew that was going to happen. So, he turned around at the right moment because he knows Randy Orton. Now, this is why I brought this particular part of the matchup. He knows Randy Orton. He knows him very well. He spent many years with him. They have been good friends. He knows the type of person Randy is. He know he knew Randy would try to attack him from behind. So when Randy is at the mercy of Cody, he is busted open, Cody hit him with steel steps, busted it open while the referee was down, punching him over and over and over, making the blood, you know, spread across his face. This is after Randy was taunting Brandy uh uh Cody's wife and Cody's mom was sitting at ringside after he taunted him after Brandy threw a drink on Randy Orton. All this stuff is happening. R Cody finally gets the advantage and packing him up. Referee's down, beating the crap out of them. Bloody mess. Shades of Wrestlemania. And you mean to tell me the guy that knows Randy Orton damn near more than anybody else, he has him in a great situation. He's about to punt kick him. He's about to pack him up. As soon as he's about to land the kick, Ry's begging for mercy, pleading with him not to do it. At that moment, it took me out the match. And you want to know why it took me out the match? Not because I don't know where the story is probably heading, but for the simple fact that it it just doesn't make sense for a character that knows his opponent as well as Cody does to fall for the oldest trick in the book. I know wrestling has rehash stories many many years, many generations, but this is one of those situations where it's like it takes you out of it because you force a character to do something that a normal human being wouldn't do. I want to ask you guys a question that's watching this video. If someone that you grew to trust and care about starts disrespecting your mother, disrespecting your wife, disrespecting your family, and you have the opportunity to pack them up. When you're in the midst of beating them down, they're pleading no, you're stopping. Especially in a match, you're you're gonna stop after everything they said. just randomly you're going to stop even though you know how they are and how they'll do anything to try to trick you. You know this about this person. Would you stop? Most people wouldn't stop. Most people would fall through with it and end the damn match. Pack them up in the damn match. Right now I get that's not the route of the story that they're taking. So I understand that. Honestly, I thought the route they were going to take was have Cody get so distracted with with trying to pack up Randy that he slips up, he loses focus, and that's how Randy was going to capitalize. That's what I thought. I honestly thought that was going to be the case. So, when I saw Brandy and his wife out there, I mean Brandy and um his mother, I'm thinking he's going to get so caught up in Randy to taunting them, he's going to get distracted and it's going to cost him, right? That's where I was thinking they were heading, but instead they go with the possible double turn because if you paid attention when Ry's bleeding on the canvas, the crowd was adamantly cheering Randy Orton and was booing Cody. So, I'm thinking this is possibly a double turn. Awesome. We didn't get that. We got He does all of this only to prove Randy right and only to prove everyone else that doesn't believe Cody can get to that to that darker side. Oh, he really won't fully commit. He proved everybody right in that sense. And once again, from a character standpoint, it just I find it hard to believe someone wouldn't would fall for that. Like what? I'm falling for the don't do it. And I know that's the story they want to tell. And I don't know, maybe they go, you know, have another match and then Randy, not Randy, Cody finally snaps. But I to be honest with you, they've done this story so many times with Cody. The only time I think it's really been successful of him like kind of snapping is this feud with Kevin Owens where he legitimately packed him up in the match. That ladder match. That was a crazy spot. I was like, "Okay, that was cool." I enjoyed that. And here it's like they got so close and then they went with another direction. And that's my only problem with this situation is how many times we're gonna do this. Will they won't they with Cody T's because at this point for me it's like it's kind of hard to invest in a character that you know or that they seem to be putting in that that line of they may go to that limit but they probably won't. And it's like especially the story that they're trying to tell here that Cody won't pull the trigger. Now, it may lead to the down the road that Cody finally does pull the trigger and does go to that dark side. And once again, it's not even about him being a heel. It's him adding a little bit of layer to his character where it's believable because a human being acts off of real emotions. And if someone is doing harm to you, your family, or whatever the case may be, a real person is going to want to get revenge. a real person's not going to want to stop for the most part. So, that was my only like disappointment is they they went this route of teasing him going full, you know, I'm going to pack up Randy Orton, you you know, you think just because, you know, I've always been this good guy or whatever that I won't get to that place. And then he finally gets there and then he falls for the don't do it, please, bro. I'm I'm just Randy Orton. please have mercy only to get hit with a lowb blow RKO and lose the match in front of his wife and his mom. So that's just my thing. That's my issue with what they did there. Other than that, I still enjoyed the match and I'm still enjoying the feud and I'm looking forward to seeing how things are going to play out probably in their I I'm guessing they're going to have another match. It'll probably be a stipulation of sorts. Will Cody finally pack up Randy? I don't know. We'll see. But nevertheless, that was I had to get that off my chest because I just was like, ah, what are we doing here? What are we doing here with with uh Cody, man? Like, where's this character progression going? That's that's where I'm at with it. So, uh y'all let me know how y'all felt about that match with Cody and Randy. Did you enjoy them finish? Um are you liking what they're doing with the story so far? Y'all let me know. Next, I want to talk about Oba versus Braun Breaker. They actually gave them decent time. They gave him some time. It wasn't going to be no squash match, which I'm glad they didn't do. It was a back and forth. Oba actually had to dig deep in certain parts of this match. And the same thing with Braun Breaker. So, I can appreciate them doing this back and forth situation because if it was more one-sided, it would have, you know, especially if it was one-sided for Oba and Oba was really getting all the offense in, it would have looked bad for Braun Breaker. So, I'm glad there was a they there was a kind of a a tussle there. There was definitely a tussle there. Um, of course, you know, Division was going to be involved. So, what's his name? Um, was it Austin Theory? Austin Theory tries to get involved. He gets packed up. Logan Paul uses the distraction. Uses distraction. And then, um, that's when Maxine comes in there with the brass nucks. She gives it to Braun Breaker. Ref doesn't see it cuz he's distracted with Logan. Bron Breaker tries to use the brass nooks on Oba. Oba scouts it, picks him up. Skin sends him skyhigh to the ground. He's charging up. And then out of nowhere, he gets hit in the back with a chair and it's none other than Bronson Reed. Bronson Reed has returned. And I'm got to say this, Bronson Reed looking pretty healthy, looking more slim. Love to see that for Bronson. Been seeing like some of the pictures he had been posting on X of just his workout grind. So, he's looking good out there. Packs him up. He's beating down Oba with multiple chair shots. goes up top, hits the tsunami, and the match is already thrown out. The match, you know, they've been uh Bron Breaker was disqualified. The match been thrown out. Then, um, Bronson picks up Oba and Bron Breaker runs the ropes to hit him with the spear. Then they Bronson go up top to hit another tsunami. Fishials coming out there. Then Bronson goes up top again to hit another tsunami. Fish's trying to break it up. Then Bronson goes up top again to hit another tsunami. I think he hit four tsunamis on Oba. And the one thing I can say about this, Oba still was moving around. He still was trying to stand up. So, they're still making Oba look strong. Even to even though it took like four people essentially to kind of take him down. And guess what? Bronn Breaker didn't beat him. He got beat down. He, you know, he, you know, Braun Breaker, Bronson Reed, you know, assisted in beating him down, but they didn't beat him, so it still protects him. Oba still looks like a a a strong threat. It took so many people to take him out. And honestly, I'm ready for the chaos on Monday Night Raw. Oba is going to destroy them. He's going to make sure he gets his heads on Bronson Reed, Braun Breaker, Logan Paul, and Austin Theory. I can't wait. They're gonna extend this. He's gonna do whatever he can to destroy division. I'm here for it. So, I thought everything else in the match was dope. I enjoyed it. And honestly, that was that was probably the best decision to go with. I think they're most likely to have another match, but we'll see what's going to happen because ultimately Braun I mean Oba is going to have to go through multiple people in division to probably try to get his hands on Braun Breaker. Depends on how they set it up. But can't wait till Monday Night Raw to see how pissed Oba is going to be. And now that Bronson Reed's back, Vision's looking uh a little bit more formidable. So interested to see what they do there. Now we got to talk about the matches obviously didn't too much care about. Uh we can talk about Lil Yachty going against Baron Corbin. He had the last five minutes. Um Lil Yachty came out there with his entourage. I think Caribou Gia Gio or something like that. I think Gia she used to be um what's um Playboy Card's uh girlfriend or something like that. They I think they all hang out together. So he had his entourage with him. They come out there and you got a nice reception from the crowd in Atlanta and basically it was not really much of a match. It just Yachti had to last for five minutes. Uh Yachti got in in a couple offensive moves but he was getting packed up majority of the time. Got hit with two end days. I thought they were going to do some crazy like have him kick out of that. That would have been insane. But ultimately, Baron Corbin is the reason why Baron Corbin lost because all he had to do was pin Little Yachty on the first end of days. He didn't do it. He could have did it on the second end of days. He didn't do it. He wanted to get a table to really embarrass Lil Yachty. But Lil Yachty lasted the five minutes when he end up hitting Baron Corbin on the top rope cuz I think Baron Corbin was going to try to do some type of move uh from the top turnbuckle all the way to the the table that was propped up in the ring. But since he got hung up on the ropes, he wasn't able to beat Lil Yachty in the time limit and Trick Williams ends up getting his championship opportunity. But before that happened, Lil Yachty got put through a um slim gym table for his trouble. So they had the match Trick Williams versus Baron Corbin for the United States Championship. I can also be brutally honest here. Even though it was a fun match and the crowd was really behind Trick, I think this match went on a little bit too long in my personal opinion. I thought it went on just a little bit long, but it did pick up towards the end and there was a nice little false finish. I think uh the ref was distracted. I think he was distracted with Lil Yachty and Baron Corbin hit Trick Williams with the title, United States Championship. Ref didn't see it. Goes for the pin. I thought it was over, but Lil um not Lil Yachty hit Trick Williams, but Trick Williams kicked out like 2.9. I thought the match was over. He kicked out. Ultimately, Lil Yachty was able to use, you know, create another distraction and in uh Trick Williams hit him with his finishing move for the one, two, three, and Trick Williams has regained the United States Championship, which I'm okay with. I honestly don't think maybe he probably should have lost it at all in the first place, but nevertheless, I'm okay with how, you know, things ultimately played out. Trick Williams is back as United States Champion, and uh it kind of makes sense why they didn't change the first straps on the United States Championship because Trick Williams was most likely going to get the title back anyway. So, what was the point of Baron Corbin's title run? You tell me. But hey, cool. Trick Williams, United States Champion, back on Smackdown. So, I'm here for that. And last but not least, we had the uh threeon-ree match with the ladies. Um, what's her name? Can't even think. Jade and Mein and BAB versus Tatum Paxley, Alexa Bliss, and Charlotte Flair. Once again, didn't really too much care for this match. Wasn't really that invested in it. I was surprised that Jade and the baddies won. I did not expect that. I think Michael Cole said a stat that that um the baddies have not lost in a threeon-ree match yet. So, I was thinking, oh well, that was going to be like the red herring like, oh, then they're probably going to lose this match. No, nope. That did not happen. Jade and the baddies won. So, I don't know what that means for them going forward, but I'm guessing the feud is still going to continue on. I hope, and this is my fear, I hope this doesn't lead to a uh war game situation. I really do. Please don't. Please, cuz you know they're going to do a women's war games because they if the men's having one, the women's going to have one. Please, I hope this does not lead to these ladies being in a War Games match in some form or capacity. Please, please don't do that to me. Please don't do that to us. No. But nevertheless, Jade and the Baddies, they ended up winning, which I was very surprised by. And overall, that's the end of the show. Honestly, the matches I cared about the most was the Baron, not Baron Corbin. Um, Braun Breaker versus Oba. Definitely cared about that. and um Cody versus Randy Orton. Um overall, I'm okay with how the finishes played out. Not really tripping too much. And this was a it was an okay show. Just those two matches definitely sold the show for me. Everything else was just like it was okay. And the fact that we got some blood in the main event, I can appreciate that. Hopefully they can extend the story and maybe finally Cody will not be a dumb baby face and finally pack up Randy. But knowing them, probably not. But yeah, comment down below.
