Brock Has Retried Forreal This Time

What's good y'all? It's your boy Ross back at again with another video. So, apparently it's official this time. Brock Lesnar has announced his retirement from professional wrestling. He talked about it on the Pat McAfee show. Now, I know we've been down this road before earlier this year, but Brock didn't verbatim say he was retiring after Wrestlemania. He just took his gloves off, took his shoes, you know, his wrestling shoes off, hugged Paul Heymon, shed some tears, and waved by to the fans as if he was retiring for good. But no, this time Brock has officially announced himself. He's hanging it up for good until TKO says, "Hey man, we're having Wrestlemania and Saudi. You want to pull up?" But nevertheless, we're going to check out this short clip. He was on the Pat McAfee show talking about this and I'm going to give my opinions on this. You know, Doug, he's been enjoying this. You know, Dub's, you know, been enjoying the news. He still has his guard up cuz he's not 100% sure because once again, we we've been through this before, but nevertheless, this may be a different situation because Brock himself has come out and announced this. This was on the Pat McAfee show. I'm play this clip for you guys. Can you tell us a little bit about Saturday with Oba back in Minnesota, how emotional it was for you? >> Yeah, I mean, I'm I'm here today to to to do this interview to let the world and everybody know that that I am retired and I wanted to say a big thank you to everybody. Uh, Saturday was a very emotional day for for me. It it kind of weird cuz I did I I my heart when Ova Femi uh slammed me at WrestleMania I was like I can't do this again. I was like I think I'm done. >> That's kind of crazy that he said that. That he said at Wrestlemania, hey, yeah, I think I'mma chill. And then TKO was like, "No, you can't do that." No, no, no, no, no. I don't I don't I don't think you can do that yet. Just not yet. You can chill. Just not yet. We we got to get to Somerset, Brock. >> But the the business and and the I think I'm done. Slam me at WrestleMania. I was like, I can't do this again. So, I was like, I think I'm done. Uh but the the business and and the I still had some fuel. >> I mean, I'm not going to lie to you. His accolades are pretty crazy, not going to lie to you. >> In the tank. But Saturday for for Brock Lesnar, that's it. That's that that's it for for me in the squared circle and and and uh for everything else too. So I just want to give a shout out to everybody on this universe that has followed me from since I was a little kid all the way till Saturday. I was just a farm kid from South Dakota with a big dream and a big heart and a big ass chip on my shoulder. And um I uh yeah, I'm just grateful grateful to be uh >> hell yeah. >> Congratulations. I appreciate the hell out of your message about a work ethic being the most important part of this. We appreciate your commitment to sport. I appreciate your drive. I appreciate how kind you were to us. I uh I appreciate everything. You putting your body through a lot for our entertainment. >> Well, and that's it, ladies and gents. Brock Lesnar has signed off from professional wrestling from what he says. Now, is there a chance that he could come back? Of course, it's wrestling. And I mean, if the money's right, the situation's cool. I mean, we seen HBK come back. Unfortunately, he came back. Now, should he come back? Probably not. I'm going to be honest with you. I think the Wrestlemania one should have been the last one, but you know what? They didn't after this. I think this, you know, should be it. Granted, I know there's some people that want to see Gunther and Brock or maybe a Braun Breaking Brock. No, I don't think Brock needs to, you know, be taking more losses. Granted, I'm pretty sure some of us wouldn't complain. I'm being one of them. But I also understand that it's only makes sense if it's one person that's able to do it. Now, the fact that Oba has been the person to beat Brock, not once, but twice in one year and essentially made him retire multiple times, twice in one year. Hey, that's something dope to have on the resume. That's something dope to tout and to push. And hopefully WWE and Creative can, you know, keep that momentum going for Oba. Brock putting him over the way he did. Hopefully that can be something that Oba is able to carry for many years to come. He's the guy that put down Brock Lesnar. So, let's let's run with this guy. He should be a world champion no later than I mean I [ __ ] I I would put the belt on him as soon as possible, but no later than next year's Wrestlemania. If he doesn't leave next year's Wrestlemania as champion, what are we doing? I would prefer before, but hey, if he doesn't leave next year's Wrestlemania as champion, this was a a waste of [ __ ] time. Seriously. So, that's just my thing. Um, honestly, even though Brock is saying this himself, and I do believe he wants to hang it up. Hill. I I believe he wanted to hang it up at Wrestlemania, but I'm sure they they like, "Hey, come on. We need you for SummerSlam." I do believe in his mind he's done. In his mind, he's he's he's hanging it up. He's calling it quits. Doesn't want to do it no more. Cool. He's had a an illustrious career. Cool. My only concern and it's going to always be my concern be is TKO. Will TKO adhere to it? Will TKO, you know, respect his wishes or will they throw a buttload of money because they're going to Saudi next year? And you know how they get down in Saudi, bro. You know how they get down. They're all about making the show the biggest possible and they're willing to throw millions of dollars because money is not a problem for them. Think about this. You're dealing with a company that's super money hungry and you're dealing with uh a group of individuals that have just an infinite amount of money to just throw away. I think you kind of understand where what could possibly happen there. I can easily see them throwing a huge bag at Brock. It really comes down to what Brock wants to do. Does he say, "You know what? I'm good. I'm not stressed for cash. I'm cool on it. I don't want to do it." Does he say that? Or does he say, "You know what? [ __ ] it. They paying me 20 plus million, 30 plus million, however much to just do a five minute match. [ __ ] why not?" I mean, anybody would want to do that if it's not even that much work. But it just depends on what Brock says, how he feels when Wrestlemania come around next time. So, do I believe he's retired? I think he actually is done. I just don't think I just don't know how much it will it cost to unretire him because and we've seen wrestlers plenty of times say they're do they're done they're good and if that money is right they come back just one more time you know so I wouldn't be surprised but personally I do think he actually is done it just depends on how much money TKO and that Saudi government for next year at Wrestlemania willing to throw at him and will he say no to that We'll have to find out next year. But nevertheless, hey, I will say this. Wasn't always the biggest Brock fan, but I can respect what he did with Oba. I can totally respect what he did with Oba. I can also respect what he's done in the ring. He is a freak athlete. I'm not going to lie to you. There's some other stuff he did outside the ring, but we're not going to talk about that because, you know, you know, you know. But I will say when it came to, you know, him wanting to work matches with certain people, when he actually showed up for work, he showed up for work. And he showed up for Oba. And that I appreciate. If you're a Oba fan, you can't take nothing away from at least him doing that. Because from what Oba has told us and other people has said about this whole build, this whole feud, Brock was hands on and he was doing everything he could to get Oba over.
