I did a little bit of reading this weekend on universal high income. >> Yeah. >> And um I just hadn't considered that there. It was really my first time considering it. I heard uh I heard Elon Musk talking about that in a podcast and I was like, "How have I not heard of this concept before?" >> I haven't either. And >> really embraced it. say if they >> yeah anymore >> well universal high income was you know whatever since like 20 since the 20 like whatever 1617 AI um exploration um picking up heat universal basic income became popular and then people started to conceptualize what other forms of that could be and one of them was universal high income or some People have been calling it luxury communism, which is kind of funny, too. >> That is funny. >> Luxury communism. >> Yeah. >> Okay. >> Yeah. That doesn't ring very well. >> Sounds like a mockery of it. >> Yeah. I'm just I'm just a messenger anyway. >> Um >> No, no, no. I get that. It's just it's >> it's funny. >> That sounds like a somebody who's definitely mocking it. >> I don't know. Some some people say that that's taken off steam as well. But um so then um uh you know whatever abundance economics is also whatever there's that there's there's other ways or post scarcity economics is another um way of describing kind of >> how do you describe what would an economic situation look like? How would you describe it with no ownership? >> Well, >> you don't have money. >> Yeah. Well, but see, this is where this is where there's so much noise in my opinion. Your access to electricity, your access to any good or service becomes like accessing a music file, which is that it's basically become a public good. you having access to it does not preclude anybody else from having access to it and everybody can have access to it at the same time and it's free. >> Yeah, >> that's what the future of all goods and services can be like. So that's not universal high income. It's not luxury communism, not post scarcity economics, not abundance. >> Yeah. I'm just saying all those words are just words trying I don't know. Some of them aren't even getting us there in my opinion. Some of them are just perpetuating the wounding, but in another flavor of it, and it's still gonna have >> it's not going to be the >> light city utopia. Um because what you're describing is it still takes time and energy to create a music file, >> but once it's created, >> to disseminate it >> and for everybody to own it and have access to it is virtually >> pennies or dollars total. Anyway, anyway, we don't actually even need to get even to even the the the Bitcoin white paper was an attempt to to to decentralize a a monetary system, >> but a monetary system is still a monetary system. It's more proliferating. and I proliferate. >> Yeah. >> So, let me play with that for an ideoquent. Um his argument was that because of AI and technology and robots, the ability to produce goods and services will be so robust that the economy itself will become so um valuable that there's plenty enough opportunity with the because of the the value of goods and services that enter the marketplace to be able to just simply print money to pay a high income to every member, you know, everybody in the United States. >> Yeah, I'm very familiar with his um way of describing universal high income. Um again um um you can view it from the angle of you know AI and robotics generating so much you know abundance you know again right currently it's privatelyowned companies and um I think I think I love I love Elon tremendously um and he's probably one of you know the better of the um AI oligarchs um and um um to to try to take a um a multi-trillion dollar AI and robotics company that makes um everything at very very uh at hopefully very very low cost. There's again no guarantee even that. Um um and then to you know to somehow shepherd through a decentralization of ownership of that tr multi-t trillion dollar company um by all people and then all people again you know why why why are we printing money for universal high income if all of the objects that a multi- trillion dollar um AI and robotics manufacturing company is already producing at very very very cheap if not no money. So some of the mental models themselves are not there. I would >> the way that in my in my understanding the way forward is what I call supply side deflation. It is decreasing the cost of all of the basic goods and services through a tremendous amount of increase in the supply of them. Supply of electricity so abundant. Supply of food and animals so abundant. Supply of housing so abundant, unbelievably abundant to where the cost is basically nothing. Then what you do is you use that one, two, three trillion dollars every year that you're not expending on war and all of those other um you're using the benefit of supply side deflation to then pay off the United States debt. Um, and within, you know, 20 years, if you pay off the United States debt and you have regenerative communities that have sprouted up across the US and have blueprinted themselves across the world, you can actually completely close the federal bank. So that's the way that um and you can let those those uh what we call intelligent infrastructure systems that are totally decentralized and owned by everybody where everybody has access to Bohemian Raps City. You can play right now. It doesn't preclude anybody else from playing it. Everybody owns it like a decentralized file. The same thing being true for housing, internet, food, water, healthcare, education, virtual reality, immersive things, choices, games, everything. You're you're set. Once an intelligent infrastructure is placed for all eight billion people, there's no need for a Chinese yuan or a United States dollar or a Russian ruble. >> We really do have to make the first one. The first one is the the thing that makes everybody see that this is possible. >> Yeah. >> And they it gives >> see their reflection. >> It Yes. It gives them something to visit. It's it becomes like a national landmark. It becomes a global landmark. Basically, this is the first >> global imprint. >> It's a global imprint. It's the first intelligent infrastructure community that is built where children wake up with zero dollars in debt and they don't have to sell a minute of their life to pay for a basic need. >> They don't have to contract immediately open their eyes. >> Yeah. >> You open your eyes and it's >> Yeah. Yeah. So that's we need to go that example needs to be lived at. So five, 10 houses, whatever, >> you know, lived at with people and um >> my children. >> Yes. So I mean yeah it's it's totally you know it's totally there but it needs again you need it needs to be like a global landmark that people fly to travel to to see with their own eyes and then they >> then they see it out and then they see it outside of their metros. They see it in Japan. They see it in Saudi Arabia. They see it in South Africa and in California, Oregon, etc. Is it proliferation to to wonder where exactly on Earth's grid lines these would be the most effective? >> Is that just >> No, not no >> or invention. >> No, it's not. It's it's it's a great question because it it does it takes you know every community is going to to some extent be different primarily >> harmonics place. Well, the you're correct. There are harmonics, but there are, you know, the intelligent infrastructure is predicated on, you know, on on on a lot of things. You know, one of them is weather. Weather is an important one. >> Um, soil is an important one as well, even though, you know, green houses can have in interior soil systems. But, um, anyway, there there are aspects that are important also. You you know, I don't know. Yeah, you want to work with places that are willing to give you um very good, you know, treatment for this as well, so that you're not, you know, if you can get some sort of special development zone designation and at least for 99 years until renewal or 30 or 60 years until renewal, if you can get some sort of an a comp a 100% property tax abatement, that would be most ideal. So there are a lot of nuances like that that need to be put into account with that. >> Yes. So the more points we have like that, the closer we bring our bring it to appear to us. >> Yeah. Andy, did that help um with the universal highinccome understanding? >> Yeah. Yeah, your perspective was um a good perspective. >> All right, cool. >> Mine is just a little simpler take. It's just like, yeah, just build the infrastructure for basic needs and make those basic needs actually super valuable in a way that the basic needs outweigh the value of anything else. So water instead of being a dollar, water becomes $100 because we start to value clean water as a primary major focal point of basic need. Healthy food, we start valuing it at a hugger amount. >> Yeah. >> So it prices out the uh in our lives. So like in my mind the way that you do that is you start valuing clean water and clean electricity and clean food >> at way higher than any other cheap stuff like cheap Chinese toys. >> Mhm. >> Um or or any of the other stuff. And then you create a new layer of of basic need value where the standard becomes so high that it actually can break off its own layer and become its own uh its own system. And this was kind of the goal of home DAO was that you you actually only pay for basic needs using the DAO token. >> Yeah. >> You don't use US dollars. US dollars become frivolous. >> They become the things that you buy like >> ice cream cones and jet skis with. >> Yeah. And the things that have like the real >> the real >> true value >> you you pay for in home dow tokens. >> It makes sense. This is making more sense to me now that you can describe it like that. Because if you're inherently placing value where it originates, where it really is, you are understanding that it's your time, not money. It's your experience. you know uh your values are not set by oh money is more important than my time. It's the reverse >> right. Yeah. It resets value >> in a different >> category so that you think of it it with a whole different paradigm of like >> whoa whoa whoa basic needs like we don't with those. >> Yeah. Yeah. And it's sort of a in a funny not not sneaky, it's a cute way uh incorporates those that are functioning developmentally in a very egocentric state. >> Yeah, you figure it out quick because you're like, "Oh, well that's a totally different financial system for >> you know extra purses." >> Yeah. Uh-huh. Yeah. And you're sort of declaring by with that uh declaration of value, >> right? >> Where does that where does what you were saying and what this idea is where's the fuzziness? Um um the fuzziness is I don't know like seems like from um the models that we built in 2022 I think I've I've taken a pretty strong um shift. Um I think I've I've really started taking economics a lot more ser like I started taking physics and then economics a lot more seriously after consciousness. Um and I think my um I think my understanding of freeing consciousness has shifted from the home downow model that we built in 2022 to um to something else. Um, and I think that the model I think the model that we built I think was phenomenal and fantastic and I think it still has a tremendous amount of um value idea potential. Um, I just I I I wouldn't see that as the the the quote ultimate bodhicattva timeline. I wouldn't I wouldn't see it that way. I wouldn't see it I wouldn't >> I wouldn't see it where where where where ba where basic needs would become the you know multi- gazillion bajillion um asset that everybody you know equally owns and then everything else is um um peanuts compared to that. And um and we're still like, you know, using money to buy the peanuts stuff. Um yeah, or even if you don't use money to like it just none of that makes sense to me anymore. The universal high income method doesn't make sense to me any like no to me. Yeah. No, to me it's to me it's all about supply side deflation, regenerative communities, people living in those communities completely. >> You don't even bring money into it. >> Yeah. Completely extinguishing the United States debt and the global debt through regenerative communities and supply side deflation. >> You pull it out by the root. >> Yeah. Then then the the whole notion of a monetary system given if everything is um like accessing a music file there's no monetary system a monetary system like an alien advanced alien civilization has everything accessible to itself like a music file. >> Okay. Yeah. >> Yes. You don't even pander. >> Well, yeah. So, at at that point, you don't care if you know, you you literally don't care if Bo wants this and Raj wants that. You You just don't care at all cuz everybody has access to Bohemian everything. Yeah. >> Yes. But that level of abundance and carving out all of the prior systemic delusions is a [ __ ] [ __ ] And it has sent me down a lot of very um there's a lot that has to be scrapped out of oneself to see that. It's really [ __ ] up. like the I mean the main thing that's like the easiest one for people to understand is that like people people got addicted in the last you know 50 years of um a tremendous amount of their quote net worth being associated or tied to their real estate um and in this sense it's literally their house because of the debt based and inflationary based monetary system they watch the price of a house that they bought for $20,000 50 years ago somehow magically turned to $450,000 50 years later. And then now everybody is going to have to witness the increase of the housing supply through AI and robotics and through the proliferation and investment into the proliferation of an abundance of housing to such unprecedented extents that the price of their $450,000 house will literally plummet. Mhm. >> So, they're going to have to give up the imaginary notion that their house is worth some x or y amount of fake money. Um because they want their children and their children's children to have access to their own houses to raise their own families and to um not have to uh go into a monetary system to work 40 hours a week to um >> reify that you are your house. >> Yeah. To spend 57s of your life paying for a house. Um and then and then still not owning it because of property taxes. So um >> yeah. So, and again, even describing to people that, you know, a school teacher and a firefighter and a police officer and a city administrator and a city works employee and your grandparents who are 65 years old who are on social security and Medicare that you see what I'm talking about regarding that's all property taxes, that's state taxes, that's federal taxes. All of that money begins to deflate. Yeah. >> So, you don't need a $5.5 trillion tax base. You don't need a $7.5 trillion budget. You don't need a $2 trillion deficit year after year. That's what I'm saying. You curb that back through all of those people we just listed living in regenerative communities in in the supply side deflation of housing. So when the supply side deflation of housing is so abundant and those same houses have access to geothermal or hydraological energy whatever the source of energy wind solar whatever that um they don't have they can go the person can still go be a teacher or a janitor or a city administrator or a firefighter or your grandparents can still live without necessarily needing for the property tax people within the local town to be paying $12,000 per pupil. per year for the child to go to school because your $12,000 that you're paying per year is just literally going to like 80% of it is going to the salaries of the school district employees. And what do the school district employees do with the money? They pay for their mortgages. Yeah. >> Do you see what Yeah, that's there. >> So, >> and in the future, schools are not going to be like this. >> Yeah. >> Neither are jobs. Yeah. >> It's uh everybody will be able to do everything everyone else does can do. >> Yeah. >> You serve in your highest capacity wherever you are >> naturally. >> Okay. So >> So that's the that's where what you asked the the 2022 version of me that built what what Andy and Jonathan and the rest of the Home Dow organism was putting together. the version of me that supported that and helped put that together is very [ __ ] grateful for the brilliances that that instilled in me and whatnot. But I don't see that as the I don't I don't see to tokens won't tokens won't be a part of the not not in my right >> way of seeing it. There's not going to be >> well it's like a cell. It's just like life inside a cell. >> How can the orchestration of all of these these functions they don't they don't exchange money. >> Yes. Yes. Yes. >> They are called upon resonance. >> Yes. I know that true >> because again like what I just described was I just described a I described the dismantling of the taxation debt and monetary system into a regenerative utopia system where everything is like a owning a copy of a music track. The feeling of the clarity of that being the trunk inside of you that you will never shake from because it makes the most amount of sense for the bodhicattva oath of the maximum amount of Yes. of alleviation of suffering for the maximum amount of beings in the quickest amount of time possible for the perpetual utopia. And >> that's what I started to describe there and what will show up on that board in those classes that I'm putting together right now because each one of those Each one of those classes is a huge packet of information because you know the first the moment that you start talking to anybody about you know oh you know smallcale nuclear fusion you know has the potential to be able to you know provide us all with electricity for free forever or whatever that it's a it's like an LLM conversation right and so what I'm saying is everybody's you know everyone has these conditioned response like when you start saying oh like you know we don't need to you know uh pay you know county administrators or Congress people like you don't what do you mean a representative democracy after 250 years that has went from representing like one person represents 10,000 people to one person represents 300,000 people or whatever you know there's no way that that works and it's the very thing that makes corruption available and present so you have a direct the the local the localities those little micro communities, each one of them has its own form of a direct democracy where only those, you know, 10 families or 20 families or 30 families or whatever. If if you choose to live in a light city, the consensus model will be something else. >> You know, if LA alchemizes itself into a light city, it will have some sort of other consensus model. They'll probably have a liquid direct democracy consensus model. is probably what we'll ask. >> Explain the liquid part. The liquid part of the direct democracy is that if I live in LA and and there's like an AI report that is published that says that hey the LA um light city ecosystem wants to publish a code update which is that you know on the Santa Monica boardwalk we are looking at establishing some sort of a massive mango grove or something like that right >> and with some beautiful childlike parks or whatever right >> and then there's opt option A which is don't do it. Option B which is do it. Option C which is more time. We want to look at these other options of things we can do with an option B. There's B1, B2, B3, B4 with the designs of how it would look, right? >> Yeah. >> And let's say that I'm [ __ ] swamped on a bunch of other things, right, that I don't have time to look at this. But let's say that you [ __ ] love this and you're all about it, right? and you've done all your research and I [ __ ] love and trust the [ __ ] out of you. Yeah. Right. >> A liquid direct democracy means I can give my vote to you to vote with two votes on that issue and then you can have >> four or five of your other friends who are too busy doing their things to give you their votes because anyway you don't want you don't want it to turn into the thing where now you know Rockwell WY is up on a billboard because you know she's got the best thoughts about this thing and give her your vote. you know, you don't want to turn into that again. But so anyway, there's issues with de democ there's issues with there's yeah, there's it's it's fundamentally it's the consensus mechanism that is one of the hardest things within democracy to get right. But the whole notion of a moneybased representative democracy that anyway, we don't need to keep getting into the weeds of >> No, it's not the weeds. is very important and it's it seems like maybe there's that's an ordering like that's an evolution of something even more >> sure. >> Yeah. There's 330 million people in the US. The population of the US will eventually start declining. Japan is currently looking and going through the same problem. Europe has many countries going through the same problem. Africa is the only continent right now that has a replacement fertility rate that is Yes. It even it even decreased from like six to >> Well, India. >> Yeah, I said continent. Sorry. >> Yeah. But yes, >> parts of Southeast Asia have the same um going um for them too. But anyway, what what I'm what I'm getting at is that you you you know, there's there's like a hundred million there's a little under a 100red million housing single family housing units in the United States and then there's something like 30 million or something condos or 40 million I don't remember what the exact number there is or condo apartment units in the United States. Um, and you know there's 330 million people. So what what I'm what I'm what I'm getting at is that is that um even with a tremendous amount of increase in the supply rate supply side deflation of housing and there's a fuckload more single family housing and all this stuff there's not even really a guarantee that people are going to want to live in the light cities of New York or LA or Miami or Chicago or Seattle. Some of them might just live in rural Alabama or you know rural Texas or rural New Mexico or rural >> I think those are the ones that have seated bird like those are the reser no there there's it's not going to get seated in New York LA Miami it's not going to get seated there first those are those systems are economically grooved in an insanely difficult to un uh rattle rattle direction but they will they'll have aspects that'll will come online. But um so so why I why why I why why I bring that up is that um even having an increase a drastic supply side deflation drastic increase in the housing supply and allowing single families to have these hyper micro local. So you see the the the issues about a liquid de democratic consensus mechanism in LA kind of falls apart a little bit because you start really more and more people to some extent get gravitated towards these 10 20 30 40 50 potentially um family communities. >> Um it's possible that it goes that way. I I think the grooving of it is going to end up going whoa that was insane. Okay. Okay. Okay. That was an insane like shake. Okay. Um >> I felt >> like the whole like the whole thing got rocked for a second. It was really interesting. Like the space timelines themselves got adjusted. It was really interesting. Um, so what why why I'm saying that is there's still no guarantee that people living there would even even if you're living in a 10 20 30 40 50 hyper micro local the thing is there's no guarantee that you will be going above the replacement fertility rate. That's what I was trying to get to. Yeah. So meaning meaning there we might get such radical abundance where everything is accessible like a music file and there's not even h there's not even humans having six babies anymore as a family. >> Yeah, >> that's what I'm saying. Humans might only have zero, one, or two babies. >> Yeah, max. >> Maybe max. We don't know if they're gonna still want three, four, five, six babies. Well, no, I don't. >> So, so meaning the population might >> over that's what I'm trying to get to. The population might we might have such radical supply in housing and such radical supply in all of those categories that we described. And then we might have a significant population over time. By the time 2150 rolls around, we might have, you know, 200 robots or sensors, you know, to every single human. I don't know. >> Yeah. >> If if if if if if the world has um found and I've been looking at how to create nuclear propulsion. There's chemical propulsion, there's nuclear propulsion, and then there's the exploration of a gravitational propulsion. If you get to a nuclear propulsion, you can potentially take humans and robots and start populating the rest of the solar system at least if you can get to Yeah. the Yeah. >> There there and then there. Yeah. So that way that's that's the way that you can go from an 8 billion human to a you know a 50 billion human you know potentially future if you have humans living in moon Mars you know and and beyond yeah yeah anyway that's a long tale next hundred years But chemical propulsion is fundamentally out of whack because 90% of the mass of the rocket goes to fuel. It's completely out of whack. >> It's forced. >> Yeah. >> What's not forced? So if you can if you can take at minimum what's happening in the tokamach style nuclear fusion reactor and if you can at least on a small scale replicate that and then use the propulsive force of that replication of what was happening there on a small scale in a rocket. You could go potentially downwards to five or 10% of the total rocket weight is on the nuclear propulsion system. Meaning 90% of what's in the rocket is goods humans. >> That's what I'm saying. Right now only 10% of what's in the >> Yeah. So these these are the conversations that we need to have with with Elon and SpaceX as well and with China and Japan and the other European Union, the other world powers, Russia, because we all need to work together on that phase as well, the nuclear propulsive phase of space technologies. >> What about gravitational? >> Yeah, that's later. Okay, >> that's later because it's it's >> it's pure Yeah, you're we're we're we're not even sure if we can if we can if we can replicate, you know, gravitational propulsion means getting to Alpha Centuri in a footstep. >> Yeah. >> That's in a footstep. >> Okay. >> Yes. >> Okay. Anyway, nuclear propulsion means if you got to the speed of light, if you got to the speed of light, you could get there in four and a half years, but it would still take a lot of work to figure out how to slow down. >> Yeah, there's a lot of [ __ ] that's going on. It's in space understanding. We don't yet really understand. >> Yeah, we can't go. Yeah, but good to still have all of that cooking in the pot because it's that's all the stuff cooking in the pot. You know, if you think about Raj and Love and Bo and Maxwell for a second, you know, what is the likelihood that any of them have more than two babies, >> if any? Yeah, >> that's what I'm saying. Yeah. So, but regardless, they need to grow up where the ability for them to have anything is like having a music file. >> Yes. So if you want to have a fancy purse, rather than taking up all the time and space and energy of manifesting that into the physical space, >> yeah, >> you just get your fancy purse in a in your digital world, in your digital realm rather than in your manifestation realm. >> Yeah. Now on the digital side of it, if if the if the 50 people that live in these hyper communities in, you know, across the world, these people who live in these communities, if they want to do this recursive immersive simulation technology experience thing that we've been talking about where they go and they play choices and it's like an esport and a lot of other people watch them and consciousness transformations happen and then you can go and learn like Andy and I talked about how to be a city engineer, how to be a plumber, whatever you can learn all these other things and those things can be esports too and all this [ __ ] If you want to do that then you if you want to get your you know like it's like it's then it turns more into like Mark Zuckerberg's you know metaverse thing that's an advanced version of it. So you'll have your, you know, your digital thing that, you know, maybe you'll have your little purse hanging on your little, you know, your little digital thing that, you know, that people see.
