BREAKING NEWS: RAVENS LOCK UP ONE OF THEIR BIGGEST PLAYMAKERS! | THIS IS A MASSIVE MOVE!
Watch on YouTubeVideo summary
The Baltimore Ravens have officially secured their wide receiver Zay Flowers with a significant four-year contract extension worth $140 million, including $108 million in guaranteed money. This deal establishes an average annual value of $35 million, tying him with elite peers like Justin Jefferson and placing him among the highest-paid receivers in the league alongside players such as Ja'Marr Chase and Jerry Jeudy. Notably, Zay Flowers becomes the first Ravens wide receiver to sign a major contract extension following his rookie deal, distinguishing this agreement from previous non-market deals signed by other teammates. The move cements his status as the team's number one target for years to come, ensuring financial stability that allows him to focus entirely on performance without distraction.
Despite recent reports showing Flowers sitting quietly on the sideline during practice after receiving news of the deal, commentators emphasize that this is merely a continuation of his consistent high-level play rather than a sign of complacency. The analysis highlights that Zay Flowers has not yet reached his prime and still possesses significant room for growth, having already made an immediate impact as one of only two Ravens wide receivers to make the Pro Bowl in team history. His ability to produce big numbers even when quarterback Lamar Jackson was dealing with injuries last season demonstrates a reliability that makes him indispensable. With the new offensive scheme expected to feature him prominently through various route concepts and play designs, fans anticipate he will exceed expectations by scoring at least ten touchdowns this upcoming campaign.
The video also touches upon broader themes regarding player compensation in today's NFL market, where salaries continue to rise rapidly for top-tier offensive talent. While some viewers expressed surprise that Flowers' deal was finalized before other star receivers like Puka Nacua or Mike Williams secured their own extensions, the consensus is that locking up a number-one receiver at this salary level represents a fair reflection of his current ability and future potential. The discussion further explores how Zay Flowers has evolved from being one option among several in 2023 to becoming the focal point of the offense as Odell Beckham Jr. departed and other receivers have moved on, effectively making him the undisputed leader at wide receiver for Baltimore moving forward.
Looking ahead, there is immense excitement surrounding the upcoming season as Lamar Jackson returns from injury to reunite with his dynamic playmaking partner Zay Flowers. The duo's chemistry was evident in their explosive performances during last year's playoff run against Pittsburgh, and expectations are sky-high for them to replicate or even surpass those achievements this time around. Beyond football success, the narrative celebrates Flowers' positive character, noting how his family shares a similar joyful demeanor that contributes to his nickname as a "golden retriever." The successful conclusion of negotiations is seen not just as a business victory but also as an emotional win for the entire organization and its fans who have supported him since he was drafted out of Boston College in 2023.

So, in breaking news, it is official. Z
Flowers ain't going nowhere. We lock up
another Florida Raven for a long time.
We got one more to take care of in the
next year. So, hopefully that gets done.
But on to Z Flowers. Let's read the
report that came from Adam Sheff said
the following. Justin, oh, look at that.
Justin. Anyway, said Baltimore's twotime
Pro Bowl wide receivers, Z Flowers,
reached an agreement today with the
Ravens on a 4-year, $140 million
extension that includes a $108 million
guaranteed per his agency. So, Z Flowers
got paid. And when you break down that
extension, he's getting $35 million per
year. Now, it's funny because Declan
Doyle talked about it, Jesse Mentor
talked about it, Lamar Jackson talked
about it. They've all been saying how
they expect Z Flowers to have a big
season when you getting paid like that.
Yeah, we would all expect the same
thing, too. And it would just be a
continuation of what Z Flowers has been
doing for the entirety of his career
with the Baltimore Ravens. Making a big
impact, getting a lot of targets,
getting a lot of yards, making a lot of
plays. And it's funny because today it
was said that Zay Flowers was at Ravens
practice, but he wasn't participating.
But they showed a picture of him just
sitting there chilling on the sideline
smiling. Even though Zay Flowers is
always smiling. That's why they call him
a golden retriever cuz he always running
around and he always happy. But I was
thinking like could he had just gotten
paid? Nah, he ain't just get paid. But
he had just gotten paid. So I'm glad
that this is done. I'm glad that this is
official. I'm glad that the Baltimore
Ravens took care of Zay Flowers. And Z
Flowers becomes the first Ravens wide
receiver ever to get a significant
second contract with the team after his
rookie deal. And that wording is
important. He becomes the first to get a
significant
contract after his rookie deal. We know
with Rashad Baitman, he he's on his
third contract with the Ravens right
now, but it wasn't a market setting. It
wasn't a market offer or market deal
that he got. It was way below market.
But with Zay Flowers, it's right up
there. So, that's a beautiful thing. Uh
oh my goodness. I didn't know this part.
Whoa. Okay. I'm I'm I'm a little shocked
by this. I I did not realize this. says
that. Okay, never mind. Okay, it makes
sense now. Adam Shaft also said the 35
mil per year extension for Z Flowers
ties him with Justin Jefferson in new
money average per year. I already know
what people are going to say. I already
know, oh L, he not Justin Jefferson.
It's not about that. It's about who's
the latest to get paid. Who's the most
recent one to get paid? The market
doesn't care who the best is. The market
cares about who's most recent, whose
contract is coming up. [snorts] So he
also listed the following. Jackson Smith
and Jigba, he got 42.15 mil per year.
Raven cell,
they said, "We ain't touching that. We
ain't even coming close to that." And
and we understand that. Like Ra, we knew
Raven wasn't going to pay him that much.
Like that's a 42.15 mil per. Woo. That's
That's why he got that 99 and Madden
because the Seahawks literally paid for
him to be a 99 matter. Anyway,
continuing Jamar Chase, he gets 40.25
mil per year and that's Woo. But when
you see Jamar Chase, oh well yeah, he is
annoying in like a really really great
way because he's just a straightup
baller, man. Jamal Chase is I in my
opinion, this is just my opinion, my
opinion don't hold no weight to nothing.
I think Jamal Chase is better than
Jackson Smith in the Jig, but that's
just me though. Maybe it's cuz we see
him at least two times a year, but I
think he's better. Anyway, Drake London
gets 35.25 mil per year. So, that's
interesting that um Zay Flowers, he
comes just under Drake London.
Interesting there. Uh and then Justin
Jefferson, he also gets Oh, Z Flowers
and Justin Jefferson get 35 mil per
year. And then CD Lamb, he got 34 mil
per year. Now, we know he did get his
contract a couple years ago, so I'm sure
obviously when that gets readed up, then
his number is going to go through the
roof, but it also depends on what
happens with George. Anyway, we ain't
worried about the Cowboys. We worried
about Z Flowers. Now, um what to expect
from Z Flowers? Continuity.
Continuity. his usage to remain as it's
been just continuing to be involved.
Like Zay Flowers is just
he's he's really good and in my opinion
and I think a lot of other people would
share this opinion too, but he hasn't
even scratched the surface yet. Zay
Flowers ain't even hit his prime yet.
Zay Flowers ain't even been the best
that he could possibly be yet. He He's
still got more heights to climb, more
ladders to climb, more more goals to
hit. Zay Flowers, but for him to still
not be at his best, but to be where he
is right now, he's really good. He's
really good. We always talk about it,
and I know somebody made a counterpoint
to this, but we always talk about how
the Ravens, they run a runheavy offense.
That's what our offense has been in the
past. We don't know how offense is going
to be now. We'll see soon, but the
Ravens have been in a runheavy offense,
but ZFlowers still put up numbers. And
[snorts] I know somebody made a
counterpoint to that. They were like,
"Well, if we in a run heavy offense,
then that means quarterbacks are looking
at the receivers less. They're covering
the receivers less or whatnot." And I'm
like, "Uh, well,
that could mean the receivers have less
opportunity to make plays." So, that
would make Zay Flowers look even better.
And then you look at last season with
Zay Flowers, his yards, his numbers,
they they they all increased, but Lamar
had missed some time with injury and Z
Flowers was still doing his thing.
Obviously, his best games came when
Lamar was out there, but Lamar missed
time. Zay Flowers said, "All right,
cool. I'mma still do my thing this
year." And that's exactly what he did.
And I'm [snorts] really looking forward
to Lamar Jackson and Zay Flowers picking
up right where they left off at last
season because they left off with a bang
last year in that Steelers game. Zay
Flowers was going crazy. Lamar was going
crazy, too. And it was just a beautiful
thing to see. Then we just envision Z
Flowers making it to the end zone a
whole lot more. Like five touchdowns in
a season for Ravens number one receive.
No, we got to get more than that. Like
you you bet at 35 mil per year now. Oh,
give me at least 10. Give me at least at
least 10. A minimum of 10. And I'm sure
they could exceed that for sure. Like
because you know that there'll be some
games where Lamar he'll be like you know
what [snorts] I don't feel like throwing
for a whole bunch of yards today. I'm
gonna throw for like 198 yards in this
game but you know what I'mma throw for
like five six touchdown. Lami just doing
crazy stuff like that and he said you
know what Z Flowers how about you get
about two or three of them. So you have
a couple games like that and then he has
some other games Z Flowers go crazy.
Some other games he might be a little
quiet or whatnot cuz he might be getting
bracketed a little more. we might be
getting a little paid attention to a
little more and but he still does his
thing and that reminds me too of Zay
Flowers and the attention that he gets
because Zay Flowers been on this team
since 2023. He was a first round pick at
Boston College in 2023 and that was his
rookie year. We had Odell Beckham Jr.
that year. Uh we still had Rashad
Baitman too. So Zay Flowers wasn't
getting all the attention in the world
that year and I think he got about 900
yards that year around 900 yards. Um,
but then the second year Odell was gone.
He he he was gone. He was out of there.
Um, and we I don't think we had Nelson
Agar. I don't remember for sure. But no,
we did have Nelson Ag in 2024. Anyway,
Odell was gone. Uh, we still had Rashad
Baitman and Z Flowers. So now it's like,
oh, Zay Flowers and Rashad, y'all are
up. It's your turn now. So now all the
attention it's on you. What does Z
Flowers do? Uh, you know what? I'm going
to go to the Pro Bowl. I'm going to go
to the Pro Bowl. He became the first
Ravens wide receiver to go to the Pro
Bowl as a wide receiver. That's a big
deal for us, man. It really was. It's
crazy that it took so long. But hey, we
got to start somewhere. So then they
say, "Oh, Z Flowers, now you a Pro Bowl
receiver, so you getting a lot more
attention. How you going to follow that
up? What you going to do next?" Z
Flowers said, "You know what? I think
I'm going to go to another Pro Bowl. Now
I'm getting all this attention. I'm It's
so nice that I'm going to do it twice."
So that's another thing that stands out
to me about Z Flowers is the fact that
he's garnering so much attention now.
It's so much eyes on Zay Flowers now,
but he's still producing.
So now in this new offense, it's going
to feature Z Flowers. Like that's not a
question. How they feature Z Flowers is
to be determined. I'm sure like we heard
about it in in the practice from
yesterday that Z Flowers even though he
got stopped but they were already doing
the end of round the reverses the jet
sweeps and all that. So they
incorporated him in different ways but
hey like you paying somebody 35 mil per
year you're going to use that person in
a lot of different ways. So shout out to
the Ravens. Shout out to EDC for making
it happen. Shout out to Zay Flowers and
all his people for taking care of this.
Shout out to Zay Flowers family, man. Um
because
he he deserves it. Z Flowers is amazing.
His family, they amazing as well. Um we
talked about this before, but at the Z
Flowers event, I didn't get to go to the
one this year um because we were busy,
but we went to the one the the past two.
Um, and his family is you, if you meet
even just one person from his, we met
his dad and I think two of his brothers.
But if you even meet just one person
from his family, then what? The reason
why Z Flowers is always smiling, it
makes sense because all of them are
always smiling. They just cheesing. They
they super they were super super super
super nice. They were extremely nice.
And that's this Florida heat like he can
make you unkind to some people. But his
fan extremely nice. So we happy for Zay
Flowers. We happy for his family. We
happy for the Ravens that they got that
guy locked up, locked down. Hope he
ain't going to be locked down this
season cuz Z Flowers, that boy run some
nasty routes to get them quarterbacks
going bye-bye. Especially you Christian
Gonzalez. Cuz Christian Gonzalez one of
the better quarterbacks in the league. Z
Flowers. Oh, Christian, see you. But
anyway, shout out to the Ravens and
shout out to Zay Flowers for getting
this done because this was something
that was being talked about all off
season. Eric Dcasta, he said he he said
it. He said it. He said, "Hey, we want
to get this thing done with Z Flowers
before the season starts. We want to
work on this thing this offseason. We
want to make it happen this off
seasonason." Eric Dcasta said that from
jump. He let it be known from jump. He
trying to make it happen. What did Eric
Dasa and them do? They made it happen.
So now Z Flowers will not say, Z Flowers
cannot say, even though we ain't want Z
Flowers to say it anyway, but there is
no possible chance, at least for the
next like 3, four years, that Z Flowers
says, "I'm out." Why? Because he just
signed a fresh new contract extension
with a high APY average per year and
$108 million guaranteed.
That boy Z got paid. One thing I always

help us celebrate, let's get to some
questions from y'all. First one came
from my guy Eddie who's a team keep a
clean patron. I appreciate you, my
friend. He said, "Uh, hey, engraven.
Hopefully, you've just seen the news on
Z Flowers. Yeah. Yeah, I think we might
have caught it. He [snorts] said 4 years
140 million. I think that is a smart
move because that price is climbing
higher and higher. Yes, it is. And they
didn't even get it at the highest. Like
they didn't even get it at the second
highest contract. So, it could have been
more than that, but they got it for a
bargain. Anyway, continuing. Uh he said
when I think about JSN's contract, so
Jackson Smith and Jigba, he said
[snorts] uh he was 168 uh mil and Alec
Pierce at 114 mil. This seems like a
pretty fair contract as the receiver
market value has exploded.
Yeah, it has. Uh it it it really has. Um
cuz then that's the life in the NFL.
That's the business the the NFL business
has exploded. So these markets,
especially since it's an offensive
league, the markets for those offensive
players, they ain't been doing nothing
but going up. But the NFL's income, the
NFL's revenue, it ain't been doing
nothing but going up. So woo, they they
be making some. And you know what?
Players get paid some money, but them
owners,
filthy, filthy. Anyway, uh he also said,
"I know a lot of fans may feel some type
of way about it, but it means we have
locked up a number one wide receiver for
35 mil a year, putting in the him in the
top eight, which I feel is a fair
reflection of his ability, which in a
year or two may be even more considering
Puka and Pickkins still need to get
paid." That's true. So, Ravens caught
it. I for sure thought Puka was going to
get his deal before Flowers, but Raven
said, "Uh, hold up." And obviously
thought with with JSN getting his deal,
I thought that that would really impact
Zayfl. I didn't think that ZFL was gonna
get paid nearly as much as JSN, but I
didn't think it would be that big gap
like that, especially with how the
market works. But hey, Ravens got it
taken care of. Z Flowers got it taken
care of, and now it's done.
>> Next question came from my guy Will. He
said, "What's up, Graven? What's
happening, Will?" He said, "Hope you and
the family are doing well. I am more
than excited for the season to start.
Can't wait for another day." Uh, he
said, "But I just wanted to get a quick
question in while I'm at work. Uh,
yesterday in training camp, we heard the
offense struggled in pass for the first
day. If this continues tomorrow, I ain't
worried." And guess what? It didn't
continue today. But we're going to talk
about that uh in another video. He said,
"Let me tell you why. I frankly remember
our defense was bullying our offense and
we were worried about our offense, but
this was in the year 2023. Do you think
this could be another year where we
shouldn't doubt our offense early, even
when they have had good days, and also
be high on our defense this year? Thank
you for everything that you do for Flock
Nation on the internet. God bless you.
Hey, appreciate you, Will. Uh, yeah, you
you had every reason not to worry and
I'm glad that you didn't worry because
literally the very next day in pads
again, Jesse man said it was going to be
even more physical, but the offense,
they were doing their thing today. And
there's a certain name that we just keep
hearing about over and over and over.
Again, we we talk about that in another
video cuz this video is all about our
guy Z Flowers. But it's nice that our
offense offense, like you said, offense
going to have some days where they
winning. Defense, they going to have
some days where they winning. Uh, but
it's all about iron sharpening. I I see
you, John Har, right? But [snorts] it's
all about them making each other better.
So, that's going to happen as long as
both sides of the ball can have great
days against opponents.
