Video summary
The video centers on the creator's emotional reflection on BlizzCon, emphasizing that the event's true value lies not in game announcements or demos, but in the profound sense of community it fosters. Despite feeling physically exhausted from the long weekend, the speaker passionately argues that attending to meet fellow players, guild members, and content creators is the primary reason fans travel to the convention. This sentiment is illustrated by an anecdote where the creator ignored their own fatigue and physical pain to rush over and take a photo with a fan's guild at the Dark Portal, demonstrating that these brief human interactions hold immense significance for everyone involved. The experience highlights a desire to find a better balance between streaming duties and in-person community engagement, ensuring that both attendees and remote viewers feel valued while preserving the special feeling of meeting people after years of virtual connection.
A significant portion of the discussion shifts to the developer updates for "World of Warcraft: Classic," specifically addressing the controversial name change to "WoW Forever" and the technical implementation of new Paladin mechanics. The creator expresses strong dissatisfaction with the name, describing it as difficult to say and feeling like a futile attempt to slow down time, while also criticizing the current "Twist of Light" talent for Paladins. Although the developers listened to feedback regarding the loss of the Seal mechanic upon using Judgment, the speaker feels the new implementation lacks the tight timing and tactile satisfaction of the original Burning Crusade rotation. The core argument is that the game should maintain its identity as a rhythm-based class experience rather than being simplified into a "one-button" system, which diminishes the skill expression and fun derived from precise button presses and weapon swing timers.
The speaker concludes by reaffirming their commitment to providing honest, constructive criticism because they have the security of a supportive community and do not need the game for their livelihood. They believe that Blizzard is genuinely listening and that persistent, well-articulated feedback can lead to the best version of the game ever created. Looking ahead, the creator announces the return of "Classic Cast," a podcast featuring new hosts who they hope will elevate the discussion on Classic WoW even further. Ultimately, the video serves as both a celebration of the dedicated fanbase and a call to action for developers to respect the original design principles of Vanilla and Burning Crusade while continuing to evolve the game in ways that preserve its core identity and playability.

There's a lot to talk about. I felt so
bad Saturday night talking to you. You
seem so drained. I got a picture with
you while you were eating canes in the
lobby. Low key, I felt so bad. No, dude.
That that is why I'm here. I love to see
people I I don't know how anybody else
does it, but for me, like a big part of
Blizzcon is, hey, this is like one of
the only times for a lot of people that
they get a chance to like, hey, like I
watch this guy. I'm I'm a part of this
community. Is it exhausting? I'm not
going to lie. I I I get very tired at a
certain point. Okay. I used to not think
I would ever get tired. I slept for 14
hours yesterday. Okay, [laughter]
I'm like, you know what? Maybe I maybe
sometimes I do get tired and I'm just
lying to myself. Do I dislike it or
anything like that? Absolutely not.
That's why I'm here. That's why that's
why people go to Blizzcon. People don't
go to Blizzcon for the announcements.
They don't go to Blizzcon for just to
get to demo the games or anything. Like
those are all like little things and
they're nice and they're fun and all
that stuff, but like look, I can see the
announcements online. I can watch the
show. The reason why you go to Blizzcon,
you're going to Blizzcon for the
community. You're going to go see your
guildies, right? People that maybe
you've been playing games with for
years. Uh I saw Ava, who's one of
Swifty's mods. First time in 15 years
she's ever gotten to meet Swifty and
she's like I'm pretty sure she's like
Swifty's like head mod. Like I I got to
meet people that I I've known for almost
10 years and I got to meet him for the
first time and that's that's cool,
right? That's that's a very special
feeling and it's great cuz at the end of
the day like when you're streaming when
you're any sort of content creator and
it's on on different levels but like you
have a community you know and and you
really get to build that up and there's
got to be a better way to balance
certain things. Absolutely. Getting a
way to like balance doing the stream
content versus like meeting people and
all that. Like I'll tell you Sunday I
didn't get to see any of Blizzcon.
Like you know what I got to see at
BlizzCon? I got to see some of the WoW
stuff but I didn't really get to do a
proper like walk around and get to check
out all the different games and
sections. Maybe there's a way that I
have to figure out to do stuff like that
because just because the people are
there in person, like you don't want to
disregard the people at home who are
watching, right? Or the people that want
to go back and watch the VODs or the
videos on YouTube and all that kind of
stuff. So there's some kind of balance
that I have to figure out. But at the
same time, the reason why people are
there is to get a chance to see people.
That's why even after like almost 10
years of streaming, I still walk the
floor at Blizzcon. I like to, you know,
hey, somebody wants a picture, get a
picture with them. A lot of times I'll
ask people if they want a picture
because sometimes people are shy. Uh,
other times I ask people if they want a
picture just to boost my own ego.
But but for real, like that's that's
what it's about, dude. That's what it's
about. It's about the community and kind
of bringing people together. And it's
like, look, that I might be tired. I
might be exhausted. I mean, obvious I I
almost I almost [music] couldn't stand
up by the end of the day Saturday.
That's why I didn't do it every Sunday.
That's why I didn't do a night stream. I
I literally like I I was it was crazy.
Like I had somebody message me and it
was like at the end of Blizzcon when I
was carrying all that stuff, you know, I
was carrying the microphone, all that
stuff in my hand and they were like,
"Come get a S, man. Get a picture with
us at the Dark Portal." And what did I
do? I was like, "You know what? F it. I
will." I took my stuff, put it around
the corner, put it on the ground. And I
ran over and I got a picture with them
in their guild. They got a picture at
the Dark Portal. It was that big line,
you know? They messaged me afterwards
and they're like, "Dude, in hindsight,
you know, I feel like I shouldn't have
asked. I I know you retired and all this
stuff, but like I can't express to you
enough how much that like [music] one
minute interaction meant to not just me,
but like everybody in the guild and like
it was literally that's like the the
thing that everybody talked about. If I
can if I can take a minute and do
something that that can mean that much
to somebody. Like yes, I'm I'm in pain.
I'm tired. I'm beat. Ankle hurt, knees
hurt, freaking hips hurt. Ass hurts. I
don't want to talk about that one.
Everything hurts. But if I can push just
a little bit more and make someone's
weekend. I meant the cheeks, not the not
the the muscles. I meant the muscles.
Okay, the cheeks, not the not the hole.
Anyway, that can mean so much. All
right, that can mean so much to
somebody. Proof. We don't need to go
into that. Thank you guys so much. Like,
everyone's being so so nice. This video
is brought to you by boot.dev. You guys
are used to leveling in game. Now
[music] it's time to level in real life.
If you ever wanted to learn how to code
but didn't know how, boot.dev Dev is a
fun and engaging way to get started.
They have courses covering things like
Python, Go, Linux, databases, backend
development, and so much more. So,
instead of watching hours of videos,
you're actually writing code, and you're
solving problems as you go. The whole
thing is set up like an RPG. You earn
XP, you complete quests, you unlock new
content, and you work your way through
different courses. When you're used to
leveling up an XP bar in game, now you
can fill your XP bar and gain new skills
in real life. The nice thing is you can
actually start from the beginning with
Python or something and work your way
into more advanced topics. So you don't
need to already know how to code. So if
learning to code is something you've
been wanting to do, whether you want to
understand more about games or you just
want to pick up a new [music] skill,
make sure to check out boot.dev. You can
go to boot.dev/sfand [music]
or just use the code svand to get 25%
off your first payment. Huge shout out
to boot.dev for sponsoring us today.
Let's get back to it. Dude, I just be
walking around Blizzcon. People will be
like the people's paladin.
[laughter] It's so funny. [gasps] It's
so funny, dude. It's so troll, dude.
It's It's funny. Like, it's troll, but
it's funny. Like, I don't know. Haven't
played WoW Forever yourself now. Do you
see it as a good entry point for someone
like me who has bounced off of retail
for years? I'm in half decent shape, but
I'd be willing to get fat for the right
reason, the right game. Yeah, there you
go. Here's the thing with WoW Forever
for a new player. I I want to make this
clear because like a lot of times people
mistake my criticism for negativity or
for displeasure but I am a massochist.
So the criticism is my pleasure.
[laughter]
So so like it's it's it's [laughter]
fun for me to break something down and
to talk about hey I think this is not
good. I think this is good. We should
break this down. I think this could be
better. That doesn't mean that I don't
like something, right? Like I like I'm
It doesn't mean that I'm out on
something. If you hear me say that I
think Classic Plus, Wow, Forever, worst
name ever, by the way. Like absolutely
worst name ever. I don't really care
what the name is. But the reason why I
don't like this name is because it's so
hard to say. Calling it Wow Forever, it
feels like I'm trying to run downhill
and stop myself from going too fast
whenever I'm saying it. It's the same
sort of feeling that I get. Like I wish
they would have called it like classic
plus. [laughter]
I wish they would have called it like
something like WoW. I mean even if they
called it Eternal, WoW Infinity, maybe
they didn't want to call it WoW infinite
or something because of Halo Microsoft.
Maybe if they called it like WoW the
badge of destiny or something like I I
think these would have all been great
names. Hold on, let me keep this in
front. I look I I think I think there's
just a lot of other options that you
could have had other than WoW forever. I
don't care. You could call the game
literally anything. And I and if the
game is good, I will play it. Oh, look.
It's Sand. I invented World of Warcraft
TV. I did not invent World of Warcraft,
but you know who did invent World of
Warcraft? The guys I got to hang out
with last night.
Me and uh me and Big Mike, that's what
we call them. Me and Big Mike hanging
out last night. [sighs] If you're uh if
you follow me on Twitter, you can see
this. Yeah, that's right. This is this
is the OG, the original. This is this is
the the John Blizzard. And then this is
Omar. Omar is the guy that made WoW
Classic possible. Those of you guys who
don't know the story, for years they
thought it was impossible for you to be
able to play like for them to be able to
remake Classic WoW. They thought you
couldn't do it with their tech, their
architecture. They had like a hackathon
thing or it was like it was like a side
project. I don't remember exactly what
it was, but somehow or another, one
thing led to another. and Omar Omar
Gonzalez, who who he now works at Secret
Door, which is a uh studio under Dream
Haven, which is which was started by
Mike Moore and his wife Amy, who
originally started Blizzard. Okay,
connecting the dots. But at the time, he
was like on the classic team in vanilla.
He was like on the vanilla WoW team in
2005. He was like, "Hey guys, uh look
what I did. I got this server to run on
our current architecture." And people
were like, "Wait, what?" It's like,
yeah, like it works. You can run around.
You can do stuff. And Omar, this is
literally the man that made it to where
we could play Classic WoW. He's the guy
that figured it out for Classic 2019.
Yes, he is the He is the Yeah. W Omar.
My worst part of Blizzcon was meeting
Grayson. Best part was meeting you. I
think that's how a lot of people
probably feel that way. Olympic. Do you
think TBC will roll into wrath? I don't
know anymore. And I'll be honest, I'm
kind of pissed. Why are they putting it
out right before whenever the Sunwell
patch is probably gonna hit? I hate that
because I love Burning Crusade and I and
I want to finish it and I will. I'm
still planning on raiding in Burning
Crusade. See, that's like one of the
things with me, dude. I love Burning
Crusade. It gameplay-wise, it is the
most fun version of of WoW for me. I
love the difficulty of the raids. I love
the feeling of like the tactility of the
twisting and and everything else like
the Paladin rotation. And I played
Paladin and that version of Paladin that
you guys saw, that's [music] like the
Hey, you know who that was made for,
okay? It's not all the way there, but
you know damn well. [laughter]
You know damn well who that was for.
Okay.
But it's not quite there yet. Yes, it
was McConnell. Yes, it's McConnell. It's
not quite there yet. One of the things
that I noticed when I'm doing the
rotation and I'm playing the game, I
have less buttons to press than in
Burning Crusade. It feels like sloppy
and loose and and I don't like that.
Like the thing with a rat rotation in
TBC, especially like once you get some
of the haste going, blood lust, all that
stuff. It's like boom boom boom boom and
it's like it's really tight and it's
it's all timing based. [music] So, it's
very fun and unbelievably rewarding. The
tactility of it, it just feels so damn
good.
>> They judge, you lose your seal. I don't
like that. I don't like keeping your
seal whenever you judge. And and it's
it's it's funny because a lot of people
in the crowd cheered and they're like,
"Oh, you don't lose your seal anymore."
But the problem with this is it means
two things whenever you don't lose your
seal. Something has to give. And there's
like a balance thing for this between
all classes. when you don't have to
recast your seal. The idea behind losing
your seal when you judge, not only is it
like a good roleplay thing from a design
standpoint, but it also means, hey, I'm
losing something. So, this constitutes
it doing a lot of damage or having a
high effect, right? I did like that it
stayed off the GCD. Like, if if it if
you if you kept your seal and you didn't
stay on the GCD, it would feel horrible.
It still doesn't feel great. It's like,
why are you why are you talking about
something that nerfs paladins? It's
like, it doesn't really just nerf. It's
not It's not really just a nerf. It's
about the feel. Not recasting seal is
better for mana though if it's the same
mana cost. [music] Imagine how feral
feels. I looked at feral. I looked at
feral and druids a little bit. Not
enough to make a video out of it. I've
had a level 60 druid. People people
don't know this, but I had a level 60
druid in original vanilla. I think
getting rid of power shifting. And this
this is a conceptual thing. I don't
think that you should get rid of the
current play styles of vanilla WoW. You
can you can tweak them. can update them,
but it should if I play the class a
certain way, I should continue to be
able to play the class that way.
>> And that was a big point of emphasis
that I had whenever whenever I've had
the opportunity to talk to talk to
Blizzard. And they care. It's not easy,
but they listen.
>> From what I saw in the Paladin talents,
>> that was like 75% what I would do
because to me it was a big point of
emphasis to you have to maintain
reckoning builds. They were going to
kill reckoning. They kept it. You're
welcome reckoning vanilla paladins. I
think that if you want to have the seal
twist game, they were gonna have no seal
twisting at all and they kept it. I just
think the implementation is bad, you
know, like these these are things that
are like whatever, right? But they they
they have seal twisting, they have
reckoning, they built on like the
underserved, underdeveloped builds like
Shockadin, which is really cool. And
they added alternate play styles. Like
let's say I don't want to be a seal
twisting rep paladin because there's a
lot of retail rep paladins that don't
don't like seal twisting and they like
hitting their buttons. Well, now you
have the option of not going all the way
down and then using the class fantasy of
having holy power, of having spell power
because there's a lot of spell power on
gear in vanilla for rat paladins. Well,
now you have that that spell power and
those spell power coefficients are
utilized more heavily because I can go
down and I can get holy shock at the 21
point talent. This is huge. This is
great. I think there still needs to be
more work done for the paladin, but it's
very close. There's some things that I
don't like. I I I don't like this like
AoE holy shock style of gameplay. Uh I
think I think the AoE holy shock style
of gameplay is not it doesn't feel very
classic. I liked my sort of
implementation or like how how holy
paladin should be like I I wanted to
take the seal system and apply it to
holy paladins. That's what I think would
be cool kind of kind of going around
around thematically with play the class
not the spec and building on that where
now the seals 31 point talent your seals
also empower your heels in some way I
think is a very cool RP thing and
whenever I talked about it I I think
that there was a lot of good reaction to
that I think a lot of people really
enjoyed that. What do you think about
holy shield being the last skill in the
prot tree? I I don't like that at all. I
think it should be the 11point talent. I
I really don't like that at all. Why do
they focus so much on undead paladin but
nothing about dwarf shaman? I think
Undead Paladin is like the big it's like
a big marketing thing combined with like
the RP of why it's possible with the new
Warcraft 3 expansion, which by the way,
I do think that is sick. Like the way
they announced that was actually killer.
I I think that was great. I might play
Undead Paladin in the beta cuz beta is
going to be a little bit different than
actual launch for me. I think beta
content is going to be like it's going
to be the content guild, but for for a
launch, I don't know yet. I think
Paladin, there's two parts of that. One,
Paladin is like the most popular class
I'm pretty sure in retail. So, they
probably knew that it was like good for
you'd have a big audience of people
interested in what they want to do with
Paladin. Another I think they probably
had a a very heavy borderline
autistically heavy amount of feedback
for Paladin and what's important to
Classic and and I don't know where it
would have come from,
>> but it was probably incredibly
persistent. Just borderline annoying. I
don't know. It's just a guess that may
have happened. What's funny, the
funniest part was running into Ian
Hazos. One of the nights we ran into Ian
has a hostess and Ian's like [laughter]
I was like, "Can I tell them?" And he's
like, "Yeah, you can tell them." I'm
like, "There's a channel. We have a
Discord. There's a channel in the
Discord called Old Man Yells at Clouds."
And it's it's literally the SFAN
channel. So, we have like all the
channel and then there's the old man
yells at Clouds channel. So they don't I
don't spam cuz I just It's literally
just blocks of text talking about not
just Paladin, everything. Everything.
It's just Yeah, it is so funny cuz I
dude I just care. I care so much, dude.
But they love it, dude. I had so Dude, I
had so many devs come up to me and tell
me they were like, "Hey, thank you for
being so persistent." Like, actually,
thank you for being so persistent with
everything with this game because it it
makes such a huge impact. Like you have
no idea. like like it it makes such a
huge impact and it's it's so valuable
and it's hard to get that out of a lot
of people because of I mean there's a
lot of reasons, right? But like
thankfully for for somebody like me, I
love WoW. I will always love classic
WoW. I I I love this game. Being a
Paladin means something to me, okay?
Like it's it's like a big part of my
identity as a person. Whether I'm
playing the game actively or not,
whether I'm maning the game or not,
whether it's like my version of the game
exists or not, I will always love the
game and I will want people to be able
to enjoy the game and care about the
game in the same way that I do. I'm in a
very fortunate position where I don't
need it. I don't need WoW. I I can play
whatever I want. I can do whatever I
want for stream content. There's so few
streamers in the grand scheme of things
that have the same opportunity that I
have. And I'm so unbelievably lucky to
have gotten to this point. I'm so
thankful that I have all these different
avenues and all these different types of
content that I can explore and that I
can do and and people appreciate it and
they enjoy it and it's it's it's
awesome. WoW has really big highs, but
regularly it's like I for all intents
and purposes I shouldn't be playing WoW.
Okay. Like a lot of big streamers
[music] are like, "Why is SN still
playing loud?" I'm like, "It's cuz I
It's cuz I care. I'll play whatever I
care. I do what I want to do." When you
have that level of security, you can be
just brutally honest. And you can do it
in a way that's I'm not being rude. It's
grounded. I'm not saying f this, f that,
whatever. But I can give feedback on
something in a way that is direct and
constructive while also criticizing
maybe something that's already there.
The reason that is possible, the reason
that I can do that is because I have the
security of you guys being supportive
and watching everything else that I do.
In fact, more times you guys are
watching the other stuff I do more than
wow, [laughter] you know, whether it's
whether it's GTRP, whether it's IRL,
travel stuff, Gamescom, all this kind of
stuff.
>> How do we feel about no blessing of
sanctuary? It's not in the talent tree
anymore. And I didn't hear anything
about baseline sank. Uh, I think it's
okay to not have Blessing of Sanctuary,
actually. Uh, I think Blessing of
Sanctuary is just a weird blessing in
general. I'm not opposed to I I'm not I
don't feel really strongly either way
about having it or not having it. But
yeah, dude, I I'm so I'm so thankful,
man. I'm so thankful for you guys and
and how supportive you guys are cuz if
if you guys weren't like that, then I
couldn't I mean, I could, but it'd be
it'd be it'd be bad for me and I would
probably do it anyway because that's
just how I'm wired. But the fact that
you guys are so supportive of every
single thing that we do here and there's
there's a community of people that watch
and they they care about everything and
it's just a good strong community allows
me to have the security of being able to
just let it rip. Be honest like that.
You have the best Blizzcon content.
Thank you. I appreciate that. What
server are you going to play? I just
can't see myself playing on a PV PVE
server. Is RP RPVE or RPVP? I don't
know. I just I just can't see myself not
playing on a PvP. I think there's some
work that needs to be done on talents.
Some of the classes still kind of feel
like Wrath of the Lich King mashed into
vanilla and I and I don't think that's
good. I I think that that's something
that u really needs to be adjusted. I
looked at the mage talents and it looks
like some people think mage is getting
nerfed but they're getting more stuff so
they're not as much one button rotation
as in vanilla. But I feel like
conceptually they are pretty like wrath
mashed into vanilla and I don't know if
that's good in particular. I don't know
about the fire mage talents. I have
looked at at the other classes, not I I
haven't really gotten to go as in-depth
as Paladin, obviously, because that's
that's like my wheelhouse, but uh I
still know enough about all the classes
to look at them quite a bit. And I do
think that they're on the right track.
Paladin definitely needs work, but these
talent trees are very close. I'm working
on something to be able to edit the
talent trees. You guys know I had that
tool myself uh that was like I was using
to build the talent trees. And if you go
back and you look at what I wanted, I'll
show you. It kind of sucks because we
got this video out late. If you look at
what I came up with and my talents,
>> so these are mine. Kind of see kind of
like
what I would do is very similar. These
are the key things that I have. This is
actually crazy that they did improve
seals, increase the damage done by all
your seals and judgments by 15%.
Cuz I was like, I don't think they
should do that here. But then they
actually decided to do that. They went
with a whole different sort of concept
of like having holy strike and having
seal of fury which I did not think they
would do that. That is a they went a
different direction with it than I would
have because I thought that you can see
where I'm coming from, right? They
decided to add something called twist of
light. I also think that they should
have had a seal twisting talent. So I
said there should be some kind of seal
twisting talent and I didn't really have
this thought out but twist of light seal
twisting talent. They added a seal
twisting talent. Now, [music] I think
this is something that they that they
implemented in season of discovery that
a lot of people call seal stacking. I I
call it the easy twist. I think this is
seal stacking. I don't know. I I I
skipped like half of saw, middle of saw.
And I came back at the end. Beginning
and end is what I played. I did not like
this. I saw it and I was hype and I was
like, "Yes, cool. They're going to
enable you to seal twist." But then
whenever I played, I thought this was
dog. I thought this sucked. When you
replace your seal of command, seal of
righteousness, seal of fury, or seal of
justice with a different spell, you gain
an echo. Your next melee attack applies
the replace seal's effects, consuming
that echo. So, the reason why I don't
like this, and the reason why I think it
felt sloppy. Now, this is actually
better than the seal, like on paper, you
think it's better than the version of
seal twisting that we have in Burning
Crusade, but it's actually not. The
reason why on paper it's better is this
is what you call a two-way twist. So, a
two-way twist is something that I can go
from this seal to that seal and that
[music] seal to this seal. I can go back
and forth. You can use a much faster
weapon and be able to go like like like
a metronome like boop boop bop boop
boop, but how it plays because it's an
easy twist and the timing doesn't
matter. It feels really sloppy. like the
rotation's not tight and that sort of
like skill expression that you get to
have and you get to feel like you're
really playing your class isn't there.
It just felt bad. And on top of that, I
had no mana to do anything. It was
crazy. And the reason for that, there's
a few other factors to this. One, it's
because it's not exactly like burning
crusade twisting. You go from rank one
seal of command because seal of command
ranks they they do all the same thing on
the auto attack to seal of blood or seal
of the martyr. And so [music] you go
command within point4 seconds right
before you swing.4 seconds is a lifetime
by the way. It's super long but within
04 seconds you switch seal the blood
command overlaps.
You hit it twice. So you get a white if
command procs. This is what happens.
white blood and then if command procs
you have your command and then you have
your blood. If you do this with seal of
righteousness which seal of
righteousness in burning crusade is a
two-way twist. Same thing. White
righteousness command righteousness.
Righteousness scales with spell power
and it cannot crit. Blood scales with
weapon damage. It's half the damage of a
seal of command and it can crit. So what
you do and it's not a two-way twist. So
you go command into blood, judgment,
cast command again. Actually, it kind of
depends. You go command into blood and
then judge. So you lose your your blood
and these do return damage to you. And
then you go command into blood again for
the next twist. Or you go blood for the
auto hit with a crusader strike and then
and then after you swing, switch again
to command. And then right before you
swing again, blood. and then judge
again. So, it's like that that that that
it's like when when it unlocks just the
dopamine hit of having your stuff land
with the timing and like the the
tactility of the button presses, there's
like a lot to do and it's very cool.
What is blood talking about? bro.
You already know. So, it's it's really
really cool. Twist of Light takes away
all that timing element. You keep your
seal so you don't have to recast your
seal. you uh are burning mana like crazy
because you don't have the same sort of
rank one to like the the how the ranks
work. It's not there. It just felt
really really not tight. It's too
complicated for classic players. No. No.
That's the classic Paladin. Now, part of
the problem part of the problem, Seal of
Righteousness doesn't work like it did
in Burning Crusade. It It's like
completely different. Somebody said they
saw Seal of Righteousness crit on my
combat log. I I didn't go back and see
it myself, but somebody else said they
saw Seal of Rises crit. So, it's like
its own new version of Seal of
Righteousness, which is not good. So, it
only applies once. So, the way seal
twisting works right now isn't even
worth doing. It's it's like a it's like
a waste of time. Also, you're twisting
too much because if you want to twist
every swing, you can, especially with a
two-way twist. But, we don't have
Crusader Strike. We have Holy Strike.
and holy strike is a very long cool down
and it just doesn't really feel very
good. Real talk, what other classes have
similar timing mechanics? Hunters with
melee weaving. I think part of the
problem is add-ons are needed to track
it, but like it's it's [music] a weapon
swing timer. I mean, this is like the
main thing. Like what they did is they
they made this talent to where you don't
need a swing timer to track it, but it's
just kind of lame. Why not add a swing
timer into the UI? I mean, dude, we're
we talk about, hey, we need to modernize
the game or not modernize, but we need
to update the game and continue to
update the game as it was. You're not
trying to modernize it. You're not
trying to update it to retail. Wow. You
want to build on the same principles.
And if you want to build on those same
principles and account for the times, I
think adding a swing timer, which has
existed, by the way, since 2004, I mean,
I remember it was in like the first set
of add-ons that I ever remember
downloading was a swing timer in
vanilla, like 2004, 2005, like early
early early. Stop treating WoW as a
rhythm game. No, it's not about that.
It's about it's about classes having
identity and classes being able to
maintain their play style. And also
another thing that I'm a big proponent
of is not everybody likes seal twisting.
And that's okay. That's okay. That is
why instead of getting the 31 point
talent for twist of light, what you
would do is you would stop right here
and then you would go down to holy shock
which is now moved down to the 21 point
talent and you would have holy shock as
another direct attack on a 10-second
cool down. So now you have holy strike.
Holy shock, which by the way I I don't
like holy strike either. I think what
they should have done because like you
have holy strike and you have sacred
arbiter increases the damage of your
holy strike by 10% and cause it to
refresh all judgments on the target
which effectively makes it the same as
crusader strike. I feel like holy strike
should not be baseline. They should get
rid of this improved holy strike because
now this becomes a mandatory talent.
Like you have to go two points in holy
like two second reduced cool down on
holy strike is huge. So so you have to
do this. What I would have done is I
would have taken Seal of Command and
made it the 16-point talent and Sacred
Arbiter, I would make Crusader Strike
and make that the 11point talent or vice
versa. Okay, that's what I would have
done. And I would have had Crusader
Strike work as the original 2.0 version
of Crusader Strike, which was 100%
weapon damage plus a 40% holy damage
coefficient. [music] So that way
whenever you judge Crusader, cuz now
also another point, there's no point in
judging Crusader. It's not there's no
point, but like your judgment of the
crusader is like not really helpful for
the whole raid anymore. And I think that
was that was kind of like that's an L to
get rid of that because it feels good to
be able to have like light, wisdom, and
crusader on the target and then you're
refreshing it for the other paladins.
You're you it's a really strong synergy
that is nice. It feels good to have like
three paladins in a raid and then have
one red. So like what I would have done
is I would have done that version of
Crusader Strike with the reduced
cooldown that you get later on and I
would have made it holy damage. So, it
would have been something a little bit
in between of the holy strike that we
get [music] and the crusader strike of
Burning Crusade patch 2.4. I think it
would have felt very nice. Do you take
the arbiter talent if they don't change
it? Yeah. This is like some paladin
nitty-gritty stuff and I really want to
get into it more. Uh, overall kind of
continue to talk about like Blizzcon and
what it meant to see everybody so
supportive and everything. Blisscon was
amazing, but there's still a lot of ways
to go. There's still some things we're
going to react to that we didn't get to
react to in person. I thought I was
supposed to have a computer for two
days, but I think there was like a
scheduling issue or whatever, and I
didn't have a computer the second day,
unfortunately. So, I'm going to go back
and react to some of the the panels that
I missed. So, we're going to watch
those. And uh I hope you guys are as
excited about Classic Plus, about Wow
Forever. I hate the name, but I'm
excited about it. And I'm hopeful. And
I, as crazy as it sounds, I actually
believe that they care and they're
listening. And I think it's super
important that we give that good,
strong, constructed feedback. It's It's
so important. If we can do things the
right way and hopefully get our message
across the right way in the next few
weeks, hopefully we can get the best
version of Wow that we've ever had.
That's what I'm hoping for. Classic Cast
is coming back. Just a reminder, I'm
bringing back Classic Cast. It's the
podcast we used to do years ago. I'm
bringing it back with Guu and Ampi. And
our first episode will be Wednesday,
tomorrow, the day before the beta
launches. And there's some work that I
want to do on this. I'm I'm going to
make a separate YouTube channel. I'm
going to post all the episodes on a
separate YouTube channel and stuff for
that. So, that'll probably be done by
the time this video is posted and if it
is, you can check the comments for a
link that you guys can go subscribe to
that channel. So, Classic Cast will be
there. But, myself, Guu, Ampie, if you
don't know them, they're two guys I have
a lot of respect for. I think they're
smart guys. I think they understand what
Classic WoW is about and I'm I'm very
excited cuz I think this is going to be
a incredibly good podcast. bit. I was
talking to Tips out a little bit who I
used to do the podcast with. And Tip
said, he's like, "Man, we did a lot of
really good things back then with our
crew. We kind of just accidentally kept
doing good, but he's like, "Man, with
you, Guzo, and Ampy, I actually think it
could be even better than it used to
be." And I'm like, "Damn." Okay. So,
yeah, I appreciate that. We got some big
shoes to fill. We do, cuz that was a
that was a really, really good podcast.
There's a lot of expectation. People
have been asking me to do it again for
years. So, uh, if you guys want, make
sure to go subscribe to that channel. It
should be in the comments below by the
time this video is out. We'll see you
guys soon. The first episode will be
tomorrow, Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. Texas
time. It's going to be wonderful. So,
you guys should be very excited for
that. Thank you guys so much for
watching. YouTube, Instagram, Discord,
Reddit, Twitch, Tik Tok, uh Kick,
Rumble, Twitch, everything is SPF TV. Uh
make sure to follow, leave a comment,
like, subscribe, all those things.
Thanks for watching and we'll see you
guys on stream.
