Bengals Defense Is Good, Jets Have An Offense, Arch Apology | Week 2 2026 | Full Show

[music] Off the coattails of one of the highscoring week ones in NFL history. We're going to recap that week, talk about some performances, whether they were legit or they were a fluke. Plus, we're going to preview week two, the games that are ahead, and give you my weekly picks on a brand new episode of Time 2 Football. Glad you guys are able to join us. I also talked about in that episode whether I uh or what I'm going to be doing a weekly podcast every Wednesday night. I'm thinking about doing some sort of format like this on Tik Tok because Tik Tok is my main platform now on Tik Tok live have people call in. and it'll be lots of fun. Uh, so I might do that like as a Monday morning reaction show to everything that happened on Sunday. Um, maybe before Sunday Sunday slate of games. I don't know. I'm still thinking through it. So, I I would love if people called and vented about their team. Speaking of venting about their teams, I saw a video that I want to share real quick about a Titans fan. Uh I saw this on TikTok. I don't know exactly the name of the show or the podcast that he called into, but I just want to play a little snippet of it about him uh venting about the Titans and then I'll uh I just thought it was hilarious. >> And I think what we've got there's 30 NFL teams out there. Then there's 50 feet of horse manure. Then there's the Browns and the Titans. [laughter] This season's over. Okay, th this season is over. So, congratulations to Amy Adams Strunk. >> Okay, that's all I wanted to play was just that line where he said 30 teams and then 50 feet of horse manure and then he said the Browns and the Titans. He didn't just single out his team, he brought the Browns along with them. Gosh, man. Those teams, it's it's not looking good. I know everybody wanted a sophomore season breakout for Cam Ward, but if you guys followed offseason news, training camp reports, watched in the preseason, it wasn't optimistic. Hopefully, I'm wrong. I I never want to root for a team's uh unsuccess, I should say, but it doesn't look good for those uh teams. We are going to talk about some teams that it did look good for a little bit later on, but first, we talk about this every week. NFL news and notes that's going on around the league. Give you updates on injury statuses, who's practicing, who's not, roster moves, all that good stuff. Uh Zay Flowers, Baltimore Ravens wide receiver, could miss a game or two because he injured his hamstring. Now, he had 150 yards before the half. Incredible. Seems like he's going to be a big part of that offense. Unfortunately, he might miss a game or two. He might play through it as well. I've heard mixed things like if it wasn't week one, if it was the playoffs and he needed to go back out there, he would have done it. But I think they're going to be very cautious with this and they're going to miss at least one game. Jacobe Lane uh injured his wrist and he's going to be placed on injured reserve. A lot of wide receivers are being placed on injured reserve. A lot of players in general, we'll get to that list a little bit later on. But another wide receiver that is dealing with an injury is Lad Manunki. Fortunately, he's not in injured reserve. He doesn't need surgery of any sort, but it seems like he injured his rib and it's going to be daytoday at this point. That's what Ian Rapaort is reporting. He can play through it. It seems like it's just a a pain tolerance issue, but it seems like he could play through it. So, just be on the lookout for his practice status. I will say today, Wednesday, he did not practice. So, not good, not a good start to the week for Lad Man. Trey Harris would step up in his place. Aaron Donald is contemplating returning on the field as early as this Monday night against the New York Giants. He It's just a matter of him being in football shape. It's his comfortability whether he's good uh with it or not. Obviously, he's not going to play a full-time role. He's going to be rotated in and out in this game and the next game and probably for the remainder of the season. I wouldn't be surprised if that's the the case, but Aaron Donald is contemplating playing on Monday Night Football. As of right now, the Falcons quarterback situation is undecided. That's all that needs to be said. Hey, I will say this. They're probably on the other side of the horse manure. Like just made the cut. Like they're their the back of their head is touching it. Uh so they're the 30th team, but it does not look good. I'm a Falcons fan, so you can obviously understand my hatred that I have uh for my television whenever I watch them play. Gosh, man, it sucks. Mansour Delane, who doesn't suck because he had an interception in his rookie debut on Monday night against the Denver Broncos. He did land on his shoulder awkwardly and he might miss some time. However, Andy Reid came out today and he said he looks pretty good and he might play as early as this week. If you've been keeping up with Monster Delane's injury status throughout the spring and the summer, he injured his scapula. He landed on that same shoulder area. So, that's the cause of concern, but Delane could play as early as this week. Unfortunately, there's a slew of players that will not be returning anytime soon. That includes Landon Dickerson. He's been placed on injured reserve because of a knee issue that he suffered a couple weeks ago during practice. Uh he actually came out and he said I was a complete liability in that game against the Commanders. It was my fault. I should not be out there until I feel healthy. So took accountability and he said, "Hey, just put me on injured reserve while I heal up a little bit for the next four weeks at least." Drew Kendall, the fifth round rookie, is going to be stepping up in his uh place to replace him. Omar Cooper Jr., talented rookie wide receiver for the New York Jets. He sprained his ankle. Uh it's a week-toeek status for him right now. He had one catch for 30 yards, played on about 7% of snaps, but he's going to be placed on injured reserve. Deon Stribbling, rookie wide receiver for the 49ers. It did not look good for him. He had an ankle injury. It seemed like he was going to miss a month. He was placed on injured reserve this morning. However, I just got a notification by the time this video is being filmed. And Kyle Shanahan just said that Dejon Stribbling is going to be missing about 10 weeks. So that's more than a month. Not good for the talented wide receiver Demarcus Robinson would step up. Obviously Debo Samuel as well. And then more targets for Mike Evans and George KD in his place. Jordan Mason uh recently was just placed on injured reserve due to a thumb injury. Aaron Jones will now be the lead back. They're working out three different running backs now at this point trying to see who can uh who they can bring in for a veteran presence, but Jordan Mason is on injured reserve. Josh Jacobs, the saddest for him and his his potential suspension, it just got interesting. His ex-girlfriend that he's involved with in this case filed a motion to seal the evidence. So that video that has been looming over his head has been the determining factor on how many games the NFL could suspend him for. Legally, they're done with the video. Does it not matter for the NFL and the suspension that they determined for Josh Jacobs? They're trying every legal man uh matter that they can to circumvent any ways to get that video they want to see before they make a determining factor because they don't want this video released. and it just looks bad for the NFL to only suspend him for like maybe four games when it looks a lot worse. I don't know. It to me this tells me that if the ex-girlfriend is trying to seal this video, it tells me that she got some legal advice saying that this video does not look that bad. Just move on. That's the best thing. Just protect your privacy at this point. You don't want to have this video out there, have embarrassment, whatever. like for any sort of reason, just if if you don't need to put the video out there, don't put the video out there. And that's what it seems like. That seems like or that tells me that Josh Jacobs is going to be returning to the field soon. The NFL is going to have their hands twisted and be like, "Hey, I have no choice but to just give you the minimum sixgame suspension and then after that, you can return for the Green Bay Packers." So, good news for the uh the Packers and Josh Jacobs. And then the last little bit of news that I thought was really interesting that they revealed on Monday Night Football prior to the Broncos playing was that Drew Brees was reached out to by Shawn Payeyton and his coaching staff on a potential comeback to replace Shawn replace Boicks after he injured his ankle and was out for that game. So instead of Jared Stinnham starting against the Patriots, it could have been Drew Brees. Here's actually a tweet that I read by Ed Warter on on X. You can follow him at word ed NFL. Hall of Fame quarterback Drew Brees tells me he was contacted by former Saints coaches on Shawn Payeyton staff about playing in the AFC Championship game for injured Bow Knicks the morning after Dan Fouts did the door knock, informing him that he was voted into the Hall of Fame. Crazy couple days for Drew Brees. Breeze jokingly checked with the Hall of Fame CEO Jim Porter to confirm coming out of retirement wouldn't create delay in his Hall of Fame status. Once assured nothing would change regarding his 2026 Hall of Fame induction, Breeze took his son to a near nearby field to throw. Mentally, he was all in for the Denver offer if he could perform physically and planned to convey that directly to Payton. Instead, Bree said his right wrist and shoulder were so damaged he couldn't throw 15 yards with necessary velocity. That was the end of it. So, there you have it. I mean, that was insightful NFL information. Worder ed NFL. Like, dude, you got to freaking love that kind of journalism right there. Uh, speaking of journalism, I want to let me talk about this before I move on to the next segment. Have you guys been keeping up with everything going on with Arch Manning and Holly Row? I know I talk about NFL, but this has just been all over Twitter. So, there was an AI video where Arch Manning was at a press conference and he said, "Oh, I saw the AI video with uh Sarkc and and and Holly Ro. Did you guys see that?" And everybody laughed. And he kind of laughed and he said, "Oh, that was gold or that was amazing." Or something. I don't know. I've only seen the video once and um I've actually seen more AI videos of like response to that. It's like Sarc and Holly making out also uh her like getting up on a horse and like running away. I don't know. Whatever. It's It's just the internet. Whatever. Um you know what? I'm actually gonna since I haven't ah I don't know if I should show it. Well, I got demonetized. I'll play the audio. I'll I'll play the audio. Hold on. Hold on. Let me watch this because I haven't seen All right. Here it is. [screaming] >> Is that it? He had to apologize for that. [screaming] >> What is that? What's everybody's going crazy over? I'm seeing like the comments and it's like 5050. Like some people are like, "Oh, y'all are overreacting." And others are like, "I would never." What? That's not that bad. It's fake. It's not real. And Arch had to apologize. Dude, this reminds me of Holy crap, man. I'm going to get in trouble, but whatever. I work for myself. I don't care. Cancel me. Sure. Um, they didn't give me good engagement. You know, it's like uh uh you know how a person will have a dream and they say, "In my dream, you cheated on me and I'm mad at you." Now, I'm not saying whether it's a a man or a woman that's having this dream, by the way. I'm not trying to put any gender roles on anything. Uh, but a person has a dream and they say, "You cheated on me in in my dream and I'm mad at you." H, same thing. Same exact thing, except Arch is not in the stream. Where's Arch? I don't see him. He had to apologize for what? It's not real. I'm very curious now. Hold on. I want to read some comments. Uh, hold on. I clicked out of this. No, no, no, no. I got it. I got it right here. Okay. Okay. Yeah. Yeah. Uh, anybody laughing at this is sick. This promotes domestic vi are they together? Is Sarkc and Holly Row together? How's a de probably because it's like a man hitting a woman. First off, how inconsiderate to assume that Sarkc is a man and Holly Row is a woman. Unless you give me clear defining evidence where they claim that they are a man and a woman, I'm not buying it. I am not going to put that label on them. How dare. So, we got to look at them as people. And I can see this video because I know the situation. I know the context. I know that Stark blew her off in the interview. And this is just someone replying with like an a little bit of an overexaggeration to that situation. Oh my gosh, I'm going to get cancelled if people actually um are mad at me. But who cares? This is all fake. It's not real. to the moronic hyena's likely grown men. I guess that's me. Uh, laughing at the juvenile and and irresponsible comment by Arch Manning. What if Holly was your sister, wife, mother, or daughter? Would you be laughing then? I'd probably be more confused. I would probably be like, "Hey babe, why are you being roasted by the internet?" Because I know that I Hey, I have common sense and I know that the video is fake. So, if there's a fake video out there of uh my wife getting hit, um it probably won't be visually appealing for me personally, but I'm not going to go like I'm not going to be all up in arms because I know it's a fake video. I know that somebody is just like Now, if it's a real video and somebody's hitting my wife, yeah, I'm going to be freaking pissed. I'll be upset. But it's fake. Oh my gosh. Oh, and somebody responded. I could share this video. I'll show this video. Oh, she pushes that reporter out of the way. Been there. Been there before. Dude, journalists are the absolute worst cuz like especially the older ones cuz they're so freaking cutthroat and they want like that like first one to break the news, that kind of sort thing, first one to get the interview, whatever, blah blah blah. I understand that in this situation and this is like a journalism uh a journalist telling you guys and giving you guys some inside info. TV journalists have uh rights exclusive rights to interview whoever they want. Uh first come first serve or not first come first serve first rights I should say and then after that it's first come first serve. So, I understand that she works for ESPN and she can do that. But in my fair share of events that I've been uh to and trying to interview players there, there's been so many people, so many journalists that will like just cut you in line and like cut you off when you're trying to talk to somebody. It's extremely rude. I actually had like I was standing in line with Rasheed Rasheed Shahed and this was actually earlier this year uh interviewing him prior to the Super Bowl. nicest guy in the world. And I was waiting in line to try try to talk to him. And then Adam Shfter cuts in line in front of me. It's Adam Shfter. I'm like, what the heck? Maybe I mean, he's a big deal. So I'm like, maybe he's got something important to do. Whatever. Like maybe like I don't know. He has like obligation with ESPN. It turns out that it was just like another journalist that he knew was like wanting to interview Rasheed and so he like cut in front of everybody to try to like grab Rasheed's attention to be like hey interview this person next. At that point, it's like, "All right, that's kind of I didn't really whatever." It didn't make me upset because I got my time with Rasheed Shahid. But I understand that she needed to get that interview first, but the best thing to do is while he's the coach is talking to that other journalist. Just grab the coach, interrupt if you need to, just be like, "Hey, so sorry to interrupt you. We need to do this interview real quick." And just leave it at that instead of like pushing her out of the way. Oh my gosh, dude. It's always the older ones, too. Always the older ones that are like just stuck in back back in the day. I don't know. Whatever. Anyways, I'm going to move on from the situation, but I just thought that was funny for that video. He had to apologize, dude. It's fake. Oh my gosh. All right. Now, let's do a segment called legit or fluke. I like to do this early on in the season. talk about some teams and some players, whether their performance in the previous week was legit or it was a fluke. First up, the Cincinnati Bengals defense. Legit or fluke? Oh, it's legit. And that's so weird to say because I don't think I could have said that ever since 2021, the Super Bowl days. Ever since then, it's just been a little bit of a mess. But Joe Burrow has been begging the front office to do everything that they can to build the team around him. and they finally, it took years, took some time, but they're finally at that point. It was a bold move by the Cincinnati Bengals to keep Al Golden as their defensive coordinator, but towards the end of last season, the Bengals defense started to turn around. It started to show flashes enough for him to retain his job. Then in the offseason, it was big. It didn't start off great because of Trey Hendrickson and the drama with the money. They let him go. He goes on to the AFC North rival, the Baltimore Ravens. But with that money, they freed that up to sign players like Boy Maf, who had a sack and a forced fumble in that game and that victory against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. So that paid off. And then another guy in Jonathan Allen. Oh, and by the way, the 10th overall pick in the NFL draft. It's a little rich, but they used it to get one of the best defensive tackles in all of football, and that is Dexter Lawrence. Mike Florio and Chris Sims on NBC, Pro Football Talk, I think is the show. they uh put this up and I just kind of want to show you guys this graphic, but since 2021, the players, the top five players that have faced the most double teams, number one is Dexter Lawrence and number three is BJ Hill. You can't double team both of them, but hey, there's another defensive lineman on that list that plays for the Cincinnati Bengals. the other side of that graphic, the most QB pressures after they were double teamed, four and five, Dexter Lawrence and Jonathan Allen. That defensive line is legit. They also have some young upand cominging stars like Demetrius Knight who looked good, Shamar Stewart. The secondary they added some pieces like Brian Cook at safety, Takario Davis that drafted the 6-4 corner in the third round. The Bengals defense looks great. And that's a scary thing to say for the rest of the NFL because if that offense has just at least a decent defense, middle of the pack, they're going to make a deep playoff run. It could potentially be a Super Bowl contender. If everybody stays healthy, I am all in on the Cincinnati Bengals this season. The next team, the Denver Broncos, their offense in particular, that performance, lackluster, only scored 10 points, I want to say. Maybe it was seven. I want to say it was 10. Is it legit or is it a fluke? That performance by the Broncos offense, I think it was a fluke. I think that better days are ahead for the Denver Broncos. Shawn Payeyton said this with Colin Coward in an interview prior to that Monday Night Football game. Davis Webb has gotten a lot of flack recently with the offensive play calling and the performance that he had and calling plays uh Monday night against Kansas City Chiefs. Sean said that he would not make a decision to hand over the play calling duties to Davis Webb unless he knew that it would lead to them winning games. Webb had a lot of offers out there to be a a play calling offensive coordinator in the NFL. The Broncos just did not did not want to let him go. Shawn Payeyton wanted to keep him in house and so he decided to give him the play calling duties for that. Better days are ahead because you spend a first round pick on Jaylen Wadd because if you are spending that kind of draft capital on Jaylen Wadd, you're going to force feed him the ball. You're going to make sure that it was worth it, that it was not a big mistake. He's going to be the the focal point of that offense. I'm not concerned about that. That rushing attack though, it does lack some sort of identity. I think they want JK Dobbins to be the early down back and they want RJ Harvey to mix in, get some rushes, get some passes, be that pass catching back and then Jonah Coleman will mix in in line with JK Dobbins to be on the ground kind of ground and pound kind of rusher. But I don't know, a three-headed monster right now, it just may not be the best move going forward. I understand you want to keep the defense on their toes, but it might be good just to pick that one guy and center your whole rushing attack around that one person. But the Broncos offense, better days are ahead. And Shawn Peyton, even if it takes three or four weeks of Davis Webb calling bad games, there's going to be a point where Shawn is going to be like, "All right, let me just take over or at least something has to happen. The Broncos offense is going to get back to their usual selves." The Jets offense coming off a victory against the Tennessee Titans, legit or fluke. I'm going to say that they're somewhat in the middle and it's a leaf fluke. Going into the off season, they wanted to do everything that they could to enhance this Jets's passing attack. They drafted Kenyan Sadique in the first round. They drafted Omar Cooper Jr. Unfortunately, he's going to be out for a few weeks with an ankle injury. But Kenya Sadi getting that ender round for a touchdown. That shows the willingness that Frank Reich and Aaron Glenn have to get him involved in some sort of capacity. So, better days are ahead. He's going to be a lot more involved. But they already have an established wide receiver in Garrett Wilson who had seven targets uh six receptions uh and went for 79 yards. Adini Mitchell three for three uh on receptions, 60 yards. Omar Cooper before he got hurt had one catch for 30 yards. These are deep passes that they're completing. Gino Smith only 24 uh passing attempts, completed 19 of them for 215 yards. That's nine yards per attempt. So, they're going to be chucking it intermediate to deep. Then for the run game, you already have an established runner in Bree Hall, 22 carries, 102 yards rushing, and one touchdown. Brilan Allen, their backup, almost got a rushing touchdown himself, but he got 10 carries. So, it seems like he's going to be involved in some sort of capacity. And I'm not going to say that they're one of the best offenses in the NFL. Obviously not. I'll reserve that for the Bengals, the Bills, the Ravens, uh teams like that. But I will say that they could play spoiler come playoff time when they're matched up against teams that are lacking in defense. And the next five out of six games that are on the schedule for them, Green Bay, Detroit, Chicago, Cleveland, New England, and then Miami. So outside of New England, those five defenses that they play, these are defenses that you could have a good passing attack, good offensive attack in general against. So, the Jets are going to surprise a lot of people coming up, especially within the next six weeks against those opponents. The Arizona Cardinals coming off that victory, they are 1 and0 after beating the Los Angeles Chargers. Was that victory legit or was it a fluke? I'm going to say it's someone in the middle and call it a leaf fluke. If you watched offensively during the preseason, Mike Laflur, he likes to run this offense kind of similar to the Rams. You knew that this offense was going to be good after you watched them in the Hall of Fame game. And I think there was another preseason game that they had against the Raiders. Mike Laflur likes to take a lot of things from the LA Rams, which is his previous team. He likes to use a philosophy of the Rams, but also mixing in just utilize your best players. So for instance, Michael Wilson is being utilized in that puka nua role. He's going to continue to be util utilized in that sort of fashion. However, Laflur is not dumb and he realizes that Terry McBride is obviously the alpha in that offense and he's going to be the most targeted player in that offense. And then defensively, they're great. So, last off season was when they made so many big moves in free agency to add to this defense. And even during the draft, they drafted Walter Nolan. Uh Will Johnson was supposed to be a steal. They added Josh Sweat and free agency. Like, this Cardinals defense had top 10 potential. Unfortunately, it didn't work out for them for whatever reason. and Jonathan Ganon gets fired, but the defensive coordinator that he brought in, Nick Rallis from the Philadelphia Eagles, he retains his job and so far so good for Nick Rales and this defense is looking better. Now, it's only been one week, but if 2025 and that offseason meant anything, then it should tell us that, hey, you're never wrong. You're just early in predicting that the Cardinals defense is going to be pretty good this season. So that's where I say that they're going to be legit or fluke somewhere in the middle leaf fluke because I still don't think that they're going to be a playoff team, but they might be just like the Jets playing spoiler come time for the postseason. And then the last player that I want to talk about because I talked about teams and I want to talk about one specific player is Jaylen Coker, wide receiver for the Carolina Panthers. His performance, was it a legit or was it fluke? It's legit. Jaylen Coker is that guy. eight receptions off of nine targets, 138 yards receiving, and two touchdowns. And this is coming off the coattails of his postseason performance against the Rams, which was the very last game that he played. Last time we saw him versus the Rams, he had nine receptions for 12 targets, 134 yards, and a touchdown. There's not much much else to say except, hey, I mean, Adam Felin said this himself. Uh, he said that he believes that Jaylen Coker is the best wide receiver in Carolina, and that's saying a lot with a first round talent. and Tedaro McMillan, but he's riding with Jaylen Coker. So, Jaylen Coker's performance is legit. The next segment that I want to get into is my week two pick. So, what I like to do is kind of I I write a script and I like to narrate while showing some cool graphics and tell you who I'm going to be picking to win that week. But let's just go ahead and get into the uh week 2 picks and tell you guys who I think is going to win. First, before I get into week two picks, let me show you how I did in week one. A staggering 14 out of 16 of these picks were correct. I guess I just got lucky. Let's just keep that momentum going with week two. My week 1 survivor pick was the Raiders over the Dolphins. The game of the week might be the first game of week two between the Detroit Lions and the Buffalo Bills. The Lions escaped a close one against the Saints while the Bills made a statement against a challenging defense in the Texans. This should be one of the higher scoring games of the week. And because of that, I'm picking the Bills. I've said this multiple times on last week's show, but the Lions secondary is going to have a tough time this year against high-powered offenses. And Josh Allen always keeps up and those back and forth games. Over to Sunday and the Carolina Panthers versus the Atlanta Falcons. Carolina did a very good job offensively, but it just wasn't enough against the Bears. Meanwhile, the Falcons defense actually looked better than anticipated, but the offense was disappointing as we expected. I'm digging the Panthers to win this week. Things will still look murky with a quarterback situation in Atlanta. Until Tua or Michael Penn get a game or two under the belt, it's going to be a long season for the Falcons. The New Orleans Saints versus the Baltimore Ravens. The Saints almost pulled off a remarkable comeback but fell short due to a ballsy decision. For the Ravens, they looked incredible on both sides of the ball. I'm going to give the momentum in the favor of the Ravens. Even without Jacobe Lane and potentially Z Flowers, the run game in itself is effective enough to win. What a comeback it was for the Minnesota Vikings, but they have a tough challenge ahead with the Chicago Bears. Ben Johnson's keeping his word when he said that he wants to make this the best offense in NFL history, but the Vikings defense is no slouch. I'm going to pick the Bears to win this week. Last week, I picked the Vikings to beat the Packers because of the home field advantage, but on the road and no Kyler Murray makes this tough. The Cincinnati Bengals versus the Houston Texans. The Bengals not only looked like their usual self on offense, but it seems like the defense has heavily improved. The Texans defensive performance last week I believe was just a fluke and this week will be much better. The Bengals on the road is who I picked this week. Again, the Bengals defense seems like it's the real deal. They'll be the factor in why they win. The Pittsburgh Steelers and the New England Patriots. Mike McCarthy picked up his first victory as a head coach of the Steelers while they were led on defense by TJ Watt. For the Patriots, can they rebound this week? The answer is yes, they will rebound this week. The bad offensive performance last week was more so because of dumb decision-making rather than a lack of talent. Despite no AJ Brown, I'm still picking them to win. Coming off a loss, the Green Bay Packers travel to East Rutherford to take on the New York Jets. The offensive line of Green Bay has some blaring issues. While the Jets offense looks a lot better than people anticipated, giving me the Green Bay Packers to win this week. There's going to be a little bit more stability in this game, and the Jets defense can't overtake a game like the Vikings did last week. And speaking of last week, that was one to forget for the Cleveland Browns and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. We got an answer on how the Browns defense looks without Miles Garrett, and it's not good. The Bucks offense sputtered at times as well, but they're going to look much better, giving the Buccaneers to win this week. Todd Monkin has confirmed that Shawn Watson will start another week, but it begs the question, when will they move on to Shador Sanders? A solid defensive performance from the Philadelphia Eagles last week, and they look to keep that up against the Tennessee Titans. So far, it doesn't look like a sophomore breakout is in the books for Cam Ward. It was just one week, but if they struggle against the Jets defense, this one, it's going to be even more difficult. The Eagles are heavy favorites in this one. Offensively, the questions continue to rise about the Eagles. Thankfully, this may not turn into a shootout. The Jacksonville Jaguars versus the Denver Broncos. Jacksonville looks like the real deal on offense. Wish the same could be said about Denver, but last week might have been a fluke against a tough Chiefs defense. This honestly to me is 50/50. So, I'm going to favor the home team and say that the Broncos are going to win. Denver's defense is good, but their run defense might be their weakest point. I don't believe the Jaguars have the run game capable to expose the Broncos defense. An AFC West battle between the Las Vegas Raiders and the Los Angeles Chargers. One of these teams is 1 and 0 and it's not the one that you think. On both offense and defense, Vegas surprise a lot of people, but I do think that this is going to be a batback week for the Chargers. Ladaki is dealing with a rib issue that seems like it's going to come down to pain tolerance. With or without him, I'm picking the Chargers. From the AFC West to the NFC West, the Seattle Seahawks versus the Arizona Cardinals. Looks like it's going to be Drew Lock's offense for the time being, which isn't too big of a downgrade, believe it or not. But speaking of offense, the Cardinals are showing that we should respect them a little bit more. Even with no Sam Darnold, I'm still picking the Seahawks to win. It's hard to imagine this, but the Seahawks defense looks better than it did last season. Wouldn't be surprised if this is low scoring. Another division matchup between the Commanders and the Cowboys. Two teams coming off a loss against the NFC East rivals. Commander offense is still trying to find their identity, while the Cowboys defense is still struggling for a second straight year. I'm going to have hope that the Cowboys are going to turn things around. I don't particularly see this as a shootout with the commanders still learning a new offense, but I do expect the Cowboys offense to make some noise. The Miami Dolphins versus the San Francisco 49ers. Unfortunately, there's not really many positives around the Dolphins. Devon is great, but the team around him will prevent him from getting a healthy workload. That's why I'm picking the 49ers to win. Not only because this is a good matchup, but because of how dominant San Francisco looked on both offense and defense, they'll definitely be competing come playoff time. Sunday Night Football between the Indianapolis Colts and the Kansas City Chiefs. Like we mentioned last week, the Colts offense can get to the success that they had last season, but it's going to take a few weeks with Daniel Jones coming off a major injury. For the Chiefs, how incredible did they look on Monday night? They finally have an established run game and Kenneth Walker. I'm rolling with the momentum in the favor of the Chiefs. This will continue to be a balanced offense with an underrated defense. Make no mistake about it, Kenneth Walker is the real deal. And finally, Monday Night Football between the New York Giants and the Los Angeles Rams. An impactful victory for the Giants on Sunday night against the Cowboys. While the Rams thankfully are well-rested and looking to brush off their week one loss, I still believe the Rams are one of, if not the best team in the NFL, so I'm picking them to win on Monday night. Miles Garrett missing this game will hurt, but they still have a championship caliber defense. The survivor pick for week two, the Buccaneers over the Browns. I'm trying to choose the middle of the pack teams with the easier matchups so I can save the elite teams for the very end. And those are my week 2 picks. Uh so what I'm going to do in this segment is I'm going to show you how I performed last week and then I'm going to give you six players every week on whether you should take higher or lower based off of what their line is for this week for week two. So let's show you how I did last week. Last week I went three out of five. Not the best. Uh I was right on Tyler Shook throwing over 246 yards. Uh Gino Smith over 212 and Joe Burrow under 20.15 fantasy points. However, I was incorrect on Bejon getting under 18 fantasy points and Josh Allen under 19.45. He looked incredible against the Houston Texans. What an what an anomaly he is. But, uh, this week I'm going to give you six players and give you my confidence level on as well on whether you should take higher or lower on their line. So, first off, we have a kicker, some kicker love with Eddie Pinero of the San Francisco 49ers. Seven and a half kicking points. I'm taking higher on that because last week he had nine kicking points against the Los Angeles Rams. He almost had 12, but he didn't miss a field goal. Now, imagine instead of the Rams defense, it's the Dolphins defense that they're going against. Uh they were sixth worst in time of possession. The Dolphins were uh and the 49ers were top 10 in time of possession. So the opportunities are going to be there for Eddie Pierro to score. Also imagine the turnovers are going to be in field goal range. It's a lot of opportunities for Eddie Paneer. Whether it be uh five extra points in a field goal, whether it be three extra points and two field goals, whatever the situation is, I'm riding with Eddie Piro this week uh higher than seven and a half kicking points. The next one that I have, and I might be a little bit of a [ __ ] for saying this, but uh Parker Washington, higher than three and a half receptions. I say that because I'm playing scared because his regular line is four and a half receptions. I took out lines and I took that alt line with three and a half receptions. Last year against Denver, he had six receptions for 145 yards and a touchdown. That's awesome. that would give me the confidence to take the four and a half, but I just want to be on the safe side because the Chiefs wide receivers, I know they ran first, but the wide receivers just weren't really involved against the Denver Broncos. So, I I think Parker Washington, he's going to get at least four receptions, five, I don't know. By the way, the confidence level for Eddie Pierro, I didn't mention it, but it's seven and a half out of 10 for Parker Washington. My confidence level, seven and a half out of 10. For 3.5, for 4.5, it's probably like a six out of 10. Uh so just keep that in mind if you wanted to go down that route. Uh someone that I'm extremely confident, probably the most confident this week is Caleb Williams. His passing line, it's one of the lower ones and I don't know why. On underdog it's 225 passing yards. Last week he had 269 yards passing and that blowout. Uh Jordan Love had 387 yards last week against the Minnesota Vikings. The Vikings defense, they're good against the run. So, this could be a tough week for DeAndre Swift as far as a rushing yardage total goes. But passing, I mean, they were being exposed last week by Jordan Love. So, Cale Caleb Williams, I expect that's the only or or the best way at least I should say for Ben Johnson to move the ball down the field is to pass the ball. And I'm going to say that he's going to get higher than 225 passing yards. And my confidence level for that is 8.5 out of 10. So, I'm definitely riding with Caleb Williams this week. Uh, Chase Brown is someone that I'm really high on all season long. His line is 76.5 re receiving yards and rushing yards combined. In 16 games with Joe Burrow since week nine of 2024, that's how many games that he Chase Brown has played since he became the starter with Joe Burrow. He has hit this line 13 out of 16 games. So, I'm pretty confident in it. Now, it is the Texans defense, so keep that in mind. They're still a very tough defense. So, my confidence is 6 and a half out of 10, but if it were any other uh game, I would say eight out of 10. Uh David Montgomery, speaking on the other side, the running back, we have been talking about some positives with some overs, highers, I should say. I'm going to take some lowers and go with David Montgomery and say that 66.5 rushing yards he's going to get under that. Um he was inefficient on the ground as far as a yards per carry metric goes. He was averaging three yards per carry, 20 carries, 60 yards against the Buffalo Bills. Now he faces a tough Bengals defense. And if you get 20 carries against that tough defensive line, I don't know. I'm not really confident in it. My confidence level, however, is six out of 10 because you never know. But I'm going to say that even if he gets a high volume, he was inefficient last week. He's might get a touchdown. That's awesome. That's cool. But as far as rushing yards, I'm going to take lower. And then the last one that I'm going to take lower, again, it's someone with rushing yards, and it is Tony Pard. Boy, oh boy, it is not looking good for the Tennessee Titans. He only played on 51% of snaps. He split that with Taj Spears. He might be behind Taj Spears and or at least the the Titans will be behind as a team. So, it might be a low rushing volume again. and he only had seven carries last week for 35 yards. And this might be more Tai Spears that gets involved in those passing situations. My confidence level in that is 6 and a half out of 10. But I'm going with the lower on 45.5 rushing yards for Tony Pard. Now, what I do every single week on underdog is I don't just talk a big game. I actually bet real money or place real money on these uh legs, on these parlays. So, I have these players selected uh on the app, and the best way that I found out is instead of doing six and one, just do two or three. Like, you got to play small. Yeah, you may not win as much, but your chances of winning increase and it's just going to add up slowly and surely. And I also like to risk low. I only do five or 10 dollars at a time. So, I'm going to do two or three and only do5 or $10. So, um, let me remove some that I'm not that confident in. I wasn't concerned or too fairly confident in David Montgomery, so I'm going to go ahead and get rid of him. Caleb Williams I'm keeping for sure. Tony Pard 45 and a half is just kind of low. So, I might get rid of that. Now, it comes down to Chase Brown, Caleb Williams, Parker Wash, Ed Pinero. Um, I'm gonna keep Parker Washington. and three and a half receptions. I like that. Chase Brown. Yeah, maybe the Texas defense uh steps up. So, I'm going to go ahead and get rid of him. Should I just stick with these three or should I get rid of Eddie Pinero? Let me see. So, if I put in five, it could be 2470. But if I get rid of Eddie Pinero, it'll be 13 uh 1330 that I win. Let me do this. Let me go to Parker Washington. Let me remove him right now. Parker Washington here. Let me go with two, but instead of the three and a half, I'm going to go with four and a half. So, it's 1.99 so I can increase my chances of winning more.
