Video summary
Minister Tunisha Bruce opens the service by inviting the Holy Spirit to take full control, anointing the congregation, musicians, and specifically praying for healing for those facing difficulties, including her daughter and a sister named Milan. Following scripture readings from Isaiah that emphasize God's protection and guidance, she urges believers to say "yes" to the Spirit, warning against allowing distractions such as careers, finances, relationships, or social media to become the primary drivers of their lives. She illustrates this point with an anecdote about her daughter who prioritized Sunday worship over work schedules, demonstrating that while trials may occur, those who submit to God's leading are covered by His protection and can live by every word of Scripture rather than relying solely on physical sustenance.
The sermon deepens the understanding of spiritual leadership by explaining that entering a "secret place" through worship, praise, and quiet reflection prepares believers for daily life and safety from the devil's schemes. Minister Bruce shares her own experience of waking in the middle of the night to speak with the Lord, advising attendees to turn off devices and sit in silence to hear God's voice clearly without the hindrance of noise or technology. She cites biblical examples such as Noah building the ark, Abraham leaving his homeland, and Jesus resisting temptation in the wilderness to show that true obedience involves yielding human will to divine instruction, trusting that God orders the steps of those He blesses even when they stumble.
Central to this message is the distinction between permissive will and perfect will, with Bruce teaching that believers must trust in God's all-encompassing perspective from beginning to end rather than succumbing to fear or economic pressures. She encourages the congregation to stand firm on God's Word during spiritual battles, noting that speaking His promises repeatedly causes the enemy to flee, much like a child trusting the care of a grandfather. The service concludes with a strong call to surrender all things to Jesus, illustrated by songs of dedication and a teaching on tithing based on Proverbs, where honoring the Lord with the first fruits is linked to receiving abundant blessings and remaining faithful through life's challenges.

The Lord is worthy. At this time, we're
going to go before the Lord in our
scripture reading this morning. We'll be
coming from Isaiah 54,
and we'll be reading verses 11 through
uh 17. Isaiah 54 verses 11-1 17.
Amen.
I ask that you uh read along with me.
Amen. In Jesus name. Beginning at verse
11. Oh thou afflicted, tossed with
tempest and not comforted. Behold, I
will lay thy stones with fair colors and
lay thy foundations with sapphires. And
I will make thy windows of agots, and
thy gates of carbunles, and all thy
borders of pleasant [music] stones. And
all thy children shall be taught of the
Lord, and great shall be the peace of
thy children. In righteousness shalt
thou be established. Thou shalt be far
from oppression.
For thou shalt not fear, and from
terror, for it shall not come near thee.
Behold, they shall surely gather
together, but not by me. Whosoever shall
gather together against thee shall fall
for thy sake. Behold, I have created the
smith that bloweth the coals in the
fire, and that bringeth forth an
instrument for his work, and I have
created the waste waster to destroy.
No weapon that is formed against thee
shall prosper, and every tongue that
shall rise against thee in judgment,
thou shalt condemn.
>> This is the heritage of the servants of
the Lord, and their righteousness is of
me, sayaeth the Lord. Amen. May God
bless the reading of his word.
>> This time we'll have Minister Marilyn

morning,
Minister,
Tanisha Bruce.

to this congregation.
I can verify that she's been sent.

>> Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
I feel led to do this, but let us pray
real fast for our sister Milan. While we
were worshiping and praising, she was
encountering difficulties. I don't know
what the difficulties was. Hallelujah.
But it's been impressed on my spirit to
lift her up right now. Hallelujah.
Because that's what we were called to
do. Hallelujah.
>> Let us pray.
Oh, some oil.
>> Yes. Yes.
Hallelujah.
Hallelujah. Father God, we thank you.
Hallelujah. We thank you. Hallelujah.
Lord, you are our healer. You are our
deliverer, God. Hallelujah. By your
stripes, we are healed. Hallelujah. And
we lift up our sister Milan, Father, in
this challenging time of her life. Lord,
we ask that you touch her like never
before. Touch her from the crown of her
head to the SOLES OF HER FEET. REMOVE
the anxiety. Remove the discomfort.
Remove the pain. REMOVE ALL THAT SHE'S
ENCOUNTERING IN HER EMOTIONS. HELP HER
TO GET OUT OF HER HEAD AND into the
spirit. GOD, WE GLORIFY YOU AT THIS
OPPORTUNITY, GOD, to see you.
Hallelujah. Be the healer that we know
you are. That we've encountered you to
be
doing and when he wants to do what he
wants to do because it's his program.
It's his program. Hallelujah. I don't
know much about what she's going
through, but I know she's 17 and she
could have been at home and she pressed
her way.
>> She pressed her way to get here
>> to hear THE WORD OF GOD BECAUSE HER
PARENTS BEEN RAISING HER UP IN THE WAY
they should that she should go. And she
came here to praise and to worship the
Lord. And her body is being afflicted.
Her mind is being afflicted. And so we
gather. Hallelujah. In the presence of
one another and in the presence of the
Lord TO LIFT HER UP TO LET YOU KNOW WE
LOVE YOU MILAN. AND YOU are healed and
you are okay in Jesus name BECAUSE WE
SERVE THE HEALER. We serve the great
healer. Hallelujah. The great I am.
Hallelujah. You may be seated.
Hallelujah. In the presence of the Lord.
Hallelujah. Thank you Lord. Thank you
Jesus. I give honor today to [sighs]
Jesus Christ, God Almighty, the head of
my life, the author and the finisher of
my fate and my faith. Hallelujah. I
thank you for this opportunity, God, to
give honor to Bishop, my pastor and
first lady, beautiful, lovely, wise
first lady. Hallelujah. She's in the
house today. Thank you, Lord.
Hallelujah. Pastor Ross, the ministers,
the saints. Hallelujah.
Hallelujah.
My son said, "Mama, why you don't give
acknowledgement to us?" You know how
when speakers come up and the when they
married, they say, "I want to give honor
to my wife. I'm not married yet. Y'all
keep praying for me." Hallelujah. But he
says, "You don't acknowledge Tanila and
myself." I said, "Why should I?" HE
SAID, "WE YOUR CHILDREN." SO, I want to
give a shout out to my children,
[laughter]
Michael James Jr. You're into Nyla
Janelle Hunter Bulock. Hallelujah.
Hallelujah.
[laughter]
Hallelujah. Hallelujah.
So, hallelujah. I've cleared everybody.
I've cleared everybody. I'm in the good.
[laughter]
[gasps] Hallelujah.
Let me pray. Father, I thank you for
this opportunity. I don't take it
lightly. I thank you for placing us on
your mind, for caring for us and and
wanting us to be better and wanting us
to do better. Lord, I decrease that you
may increase in me. Help them to hear
you and not me. Help them to see you and
not me in the name of Jesus. Amen.
>> Hallelujah.
The songs that we sang,
Amen, was yes. My soul says yes to my
Lord. My soul says yes to my Lord. And
the other song we sung was yes Lord. Yes
Lord.
The Lord
has placed it on my spirit
to encourage us to be led by the spirit
of God.
We have to say yes in order to allow him
to lead.
>> We have to say yes. And we just saying
yes. My soul says yes.
Hallelujah. And the Lord says, "Well,
let me lead you. Allow my spirit to lead
you."
>> We already said yes. So, he's going to
lead us and we must follow.
>> We must follow. Hallelujah. Being led by
the spirit means allowing God to guide
us. allowing God to be in the forefront
of our lives in the front of the
situation situations because they keep
coming.
Allowing God to direct us
ing
this word means to continue.
So this allowing is not just a one-time
thing or a two-time thing. It's a
continuous thing that we must do day
after day,
>> minute after minute, hour after hour,
second after second, is allow God to
lead us. Allow his spirit to guide and
to direct us. Hallelujah.
Thank you, Lord.
When we allow something, we are giving
permission for that something to act,
that person to act. We're giving
permission on our behalf. We're
surrendering our will. We're
surrendering our way. And we're saying,
"You go ahead. You do it." The Lord
wants us to allow him to lead us by his
spirit.
>> In 2026, we we're in the second month.
We just started. We what 32 days in.
We are allowing many things to lead us.
Even at this juncture and we just
started, we just got started with the
year. We are allowing distractions to
lead us and to guide us away from the
Lord and his purpose for our lives.
I'm going to mention a few things that
we're allowing
to get in front of
our walk with the Lord job. And these
are things that we prayed for and God
has favored us and blessed us with. And
some of them God may not have blessed us
with, but we went out and got it on our
own. And he in his permissive will, he
allowed us to have it,
>> but he gave it to us. He allowed us to
have these things. And yet we are
allowing them to lead us jobs. We prayed
for the jobs. And yet when we get it, we
don't come to church on Sunday. We don't
come on to Bible study on Wednesday
nights. Even though Bible study is
online, we can log in from at home at
the grocery store. We can log in while
you driving, picking up whoever you
picking up. Just click the link and and
listen. But we're allowing what we ask
for the job to keep us from coming.
>> The money, Lord, I need money for my
bills. I need money to take care of my
family. And then he gives us the money
and then we don't pay our tithes. We
don't give our offering. We make excuses
as to why we can't and why we won't.
These are things that we're allowing to
distract us from allowing the Lord to
lead us. Relationships,
husbands, we want husbands, we and the
wives want husbands, the husband want
wives, we want relationships, family, uh
companionships. And the Lord gives these
things to us and and then we get busy.
We stop praying like we were. We stop
reading our Bibles like we were. We're
hanging out. We're doing other things.
And there's nothing wrong with hanging
out and having these things. But when we
place them before God, it's a problem.
>> And I want to go back to the jobs for a
moment. I I remember when my daughter
started working at
Knoxberry Farm. And many of our youth
was working at Knoxberry Farm. And I
don't know what they were doing, but I
know what the Lord had her to do and
what he had me to do. I told her, I
said, "Tanyla,
when they ask you what are your
availabilities, tell them you cannot go
to work on Sundays. If they want you to
work, you will go in after 12:30, 1:00."
And that was during the time we were in
um worshiping. It was during COVID and
we was outside and service was from 11
to 12. And so I said, "Tell them you can
come anytime after 12:30." Now she was
18. She could have did what she wanted
to do, but she listened and she told
them, "I I need Sundays off or if you
schedule me, schedule me after church,
and they did that." There was one time
in particular out of her four years of
working there that they scheduled her on
a Sunday. And I think it was a new
scheduleuler. I don't know, but she went
that day. But what I'm saying is when
God gives us these things, yes, they're
going to schedule you on Sundays maybe,
but you tell them your availabilities
and if you are following the spirit of
the Lord and what he wants you to do,
he's going to make a way where they
won't schedule you on Sunday or it will
be after your time with him in his
house. Right.
>> Social media. We're watching IG,
Instagram, and and Facebook, and we're
allowing all these distractions, and
we're listening to what these people are
saying. These influencers who not saved,
who's not seeking the Lord, but their
opinion matters. What they found or what
they say they researched and found.
We're believing them. But we won't
believe what God say.
We're picking and choosing
what we want to receive from the Lord.
The governments trying to scare us with
all these different things that they're
doing. We see the bigger picture because
we've been informed. The Lord said, "The
world, as my day draws closer, as it
draws nigh to my returning, the world
will wax worse and worse." And that's
what's happening right now. But as
children of God, we're supposed to be
prayed up. We supposed to have the word
of God in us so that we can rebuke these
things and we can see the Lord in all
these situations. Yes, rent is high.
Lord, I thank you that you have blessed
me to pay this high rent and still take
care of my household. Yes, food is high.
Lord, thank you for blessing me to still
BE ABLE TO FILL MY refrigerator and and
bless me with the money to buy these
things in spite of the high prices. We
have to look for God in these things.
Yes, it's happening. But we can't allow
it to distract us. We can't allow it to
get us fearful in operating like the
world is operating
>> in material things. And the list can go
on and on. These are things that God has
given us, but he don't want us to place
it before him. He don't want it to lead
us. He says, "Let my spirit lead you. I
will lead you and guide you."
At any moment in time, God can take
these things away from us.
>> Excuse me. He can take them away from us
because we are not taking good care of
it. We're not being good stewards over
what he entrusted us with.
>> But it's because of his grace and his
mercy that we still have them.
>> Thank you, Lord. Hallelujah. God wants
us to allow him to guide and to lead us.
He wants us to take the back seat and
allow him to be in the driver's seat to
do all that he wants to do
>> in our lives. He wants us to trust and
commit. He wants us to submit and he
wants us to actively follow.
These are key themes in letting God
lead, lead us, trust and commit,
submission,
and actively following. When we're
trusting and committing, we're actively
trusting and committing our plans to
God's plan rather than ourself.
When we're submitting submission, we're
submitting to his authority even when we
do not understand all the instructions.
Even when we don't know what he's
instructing us to do,
active
actively follow.
We're not we're following him
recognizing God before us. He acts on
our behalf and he's guiding and he's
ordering our steps.
Psalms 32:8,
the AV room is going to assist us with
placing the scriptures up. Psalms 32:8
says, "I will instruct you and teach you
in the way which you shall go. I will
guide you with my eye." God is telling
us, "Allow me to lead you. I know what's
going. I know what's happening. I know
the intentions in the hearts and the
motives of others. You don't know." But
he says, "I'm seeing it with my eye. And
I'm giving you instructions, and I want
you to follow me.
>> Follow my instructions because I know it
all. I know the beginning from the
ending.
>> And in following him, we are covered.
We're safe. We're in good hands.
>> We are in good hands when we are
allowing the spirit of the Lord to lead
us. That's not to say that trials and
tribulations is not going to come. It's
not going to be challenging. Yes, it's
going to be challenging. But the Lord
have already made provisions for that.
>> Once when we are doing what he asked us
to do,
we're covered. We're in his safe haven.
We're under his wing. He's going to
protect us. And he's protecting us
because he's protecting his word.
>> He's not going to allow you or me or
anyone, government, anyone to embarrass
him.
>> So he tells us to trust him, to prove
him. And so in doing that, we are
yielding our way, our understanding, and
we're saying yes, and we're allowing him
to lead us. And in that, we're covered.
Isaiah 48:17.
Thus says the Lord, your redeemer, the
Holy One of Israel. I am the Lord which
leads you by the way that you should go.
Now in Isaiah it's it's read and we know
red writing means the Lord is speaking.
He's speaking and he's telling us what
we already know and he's reminding us
but he know who he is. We sometimes
forget we sometimes don't know who he
is. So in this scripture he says thus
says the Lord your redeemer. He says I
sacrificed my life for you. No one else
did it. I allowed them to crucify me for
your deliverance for your healing for
you to be reconciled to God the Father
to have a relationship. He says I'm your
redeemer whether you acknowledge it or
believe it or not. I am because no one
else did that for you. He says, "The
holy one of Israel." He says, "I am the
only perfect one that ever walked. I am
the only sovereign one. I am holy."
He says, "I am holy." You remember, I'm
your redeemer. I'm holy. So, I know
what's right. I only do what's right.
>> I only operate in justice just.
I am love. I am right.
>> It says, I am the Lord. I'm Jehovah.
I am the God which leads you by the way
that you should go. He says, allow me to
lead you. I'm telling you which
direction to go because I see the
distractions. I see the snares before
you. But if you follow me, I'm going to
cover you. I'm going to protect you and
you won't go into that snare. And even
if the enemy puts you in a snare, he
says, "I will make a way of escape
>> and it won't hurt you.
>> I will make a way of escape. And I and
if he allows us to be in that snare,
it's not that he couldn't prevent it."
He says, "I want you to allow me to lead
you
blindly.
>> Let me lead you.
>> But then I want to show you who I am. I
want to show you that there's no weapon
formed against you that can prosper.
>> Even if the enemy has you in a snare, he
says, "I'm going to make a way of
escape."
>> He says, "I did it for Shadrach, Mach,
and Abedneo. I did it for Daniel. I did
it for the many patriarchs before you,
the patriarchs that of are of today and
yesterday and of right now for you. He
did it for me.
He's continuously doing what he do. And
sometimes, and I'm learning this, he
allows us so that we can see him in a
different light. We put God in this
category and we put him in this box and
we put limits. When you put something in
a box, it can't come out of that box.
>> It it can't move outside of it. But we
from TIME TO TIME PUT HIM in this box
because of lack of knowledge or our
experience to that point. But he says, I
want you to get me out of this box. So
I'mma allow you to be shaken up. I'mma
allow something to to disturb you, to
shake you up a little. But in the
shaking up, I want you to know that I
have you.
>> I have you covered. I'm going to protect
you. I'm not going to allow anything to
happen to you.
That's the God we serve.
>> If we are being led by the spirit,
we we're good. Allow the Lord, the
spirit of excuse me, the spirit of God
to lead us. Philippians 2:13.
Philippians 2:13.
For it is God which works in you both to
will and to do his good pleasure. God is
working. Whether we acknowledge it or
not, whether we understand it, he's
working. He's working right now while
we're listening. He's working while
we're sleeping. He's constantly working,
>> but he's working for his purpose.
>> It's outside of our comprehension, our
understanding. But it's his perfect
will. It's his perfect will. It's his
way. It's his show. Right?
>> He says, "I'm doing it for his good
pleasure, not yours, not mine's. It's
for his pleasure." And so, because it's
for his pleasure, and we know that he's
the redeemer, he's the holy one of
Israel, he's the Lord Jehovah, he's the
great I am, he's El Shadai, he's Jehovah
Rafi, HE'S JEHOVAH NI, HE'S ALL these
things and more. He says, "I'm working
for your good pleasure. I don't owe you
anything, but I'm doing it because I
love you. I'm doing it because I want a
relationship with you and I want you to
understand that I'm for you. That I'm
not against you. That if you listen to
me and you allow me to lead you, he says
you are in great hands."
And that's where his perfect peace comes
in. We don't understand it, but we say,
"Lord,
just la this week, I was feeling a
little down and I said,"Lord, I need the
comforter to come and comfort me. I need
you to regulate the thoughts that's
coming through my mind." I began to give
him his word back.
>> And then all of a sudden, everything was
turned around. My perspective was
different regarding what I was going
through. I began to allow him.
>> I allowed him.
>> I allowed him to stir up the spirit of
God in me.
>> I received his word. He comforted me
>> and I felt better.
>> We have to allow.
>> We have to yield.
>> We have to yield. And in yielding, we're
saying yes. My soul says yes. I'm not
gonna sing to Nyla and Michael. My soul
says yes to the Lord. And in that yes,
we're being led by his spirit.
>> A few minutes ago, I shared with us an
exhaustive list of things that we are
allowing to distract us, things that we
are allowing to lead us. Now I want to
share with us a list of great leaders
who were led by the spirit of God.
Yes, they were humans. Yes, they sinned.
Yes, they fell short of the glory of
God. But God's mercy and grace saw them
through. His mercy and grace favored
them in their situations.
and he saw fit
to favor them and to allow their ways to
be acceptable enough, pleasing to him.
We're trying to please him, not each
other. We're trying to please him, not
each other. We have to keep that. I have
to keep that in mind because sometimes
we're I'm doing it for bishop. I'm doing
it for first lady. I'm doing it for my
son. We name everybody
>> but the one we should be naming. I'm
doing it for Christ. And when we do it
for him, he says, "All your deeds should
be done unto me."
>> When we do it unto him, he strengthens
us to continue to do.
>> And then we're representing him. We're
in his image and in his likeness. So,
we're showing love. We're showing
forgiveness.
>> We're operating under him and under his
covering when we're being led by him.
Again, these men and women allowed the
Lord to lead them. Let's go to Hebrews
11,
chapter 11
verses 7 through
13.
Hebrews 11
7 it says, "By faith Noah being warned
of God of things not seen as yet, moved
with fear, prepared an ark to the saving
of his house, by which he condemned the
world and became heir of the
righteousness which is by faith." By
faith Abraham, when he was called to go
into a place which he should after
receive for an inheritance, obeyed, and
he went out, not knowing whether he
went, by faith he sojourned in the land
of promise.
As in the strange country, dwelling in
tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the
heir, with him of the same promise. For
he looked for a city which hath
foundations, which builder and maker is
God.
Through faith also Sarah herself
received strength to conceive seed and
was delivered
of a child when she was past age,
because she judged him faithful who had
promised. Therefore sprang there even of
one, and him as good as dead, so many as
the stars of the sky in multitude, and
as the sand which is by the seashore
innumerable, these all died in faith,
but having received the promises,
I'm sorry, these all died in faith, not
having received the promises, but having
seen them aar off, and were persuaded
hated of them and embraced them and
confessed that they were strangers and
pilgrims on earth.
These among many others, they were led
by the spirit of the Lord. They allowed
the Lord to lead them.
Noah, it had never rained before.
He allowed the spirit of the Lord to
instruct him to all the way down to the
specific type of wood, the length of the
wood. He followed the spirit of the Lord
instructions to the tea,
>> while people mocked him, why people was
talking about him. And he kept going.
He kept going and he built this ark and
he saved himself, his three children and
their wives and the male and female of
every animal that the Lord created
>> because he allowed the Lord to lead him.
The spirit of God to lead him. Abraham,
he his family was wealthy. They were
rich. They had but they worshiped pagan
gods.
He was under his his family and and and
all that they had. But the Lord told him
to leave your family, to go to a place,
I'mma tell you where to go. I'mma
instruct you. He didn't know.
He had everything. He walked away from
everything
because he listened to the spirit of the
Lord and allowed the Lord to lead him.
And the Lord blessed him and made him
father of many nations. When I was a
kid, we we sung that song, Father
Abraham had many sons and many sons had
Father Abraham and I am one of them and
so are you. So let's just praise the
Lord. The Lord allowed he Abraham
allowed the Lord to use him and he
yielded to the spirit of God. And now
we're singing of Father Abraham.
Now we are under that covenant and that
promise because of disobedience.
Sarah, she didn't understand. She was
old. I can't have kids. What you talking
about? But the Lord favored her because
she yielded and she allowed the spirit
of God to have his way. And she fathered
I mean father, she motherthered
a child in her old age. These among many
are men that were led. You and I, they
they're human. They made mistakes. They
missed the mark like we do. But they
allowed the Lord, the spirit of God to
lead them. And in their lead, in his
leading, in them following, they
persevered.
Did they have problems? Yes. Was it
trials and tribulations? Yes. But the
Bible says, "No weapon formed against me
shall prosper."
>> Because we are under his covering. We're
in his protection. We're obeying him.
Because we're obeying him, he says, "I
have you. Don't worry about what the
enemy is going to try to do. It's a try.
A try is a failed attempt. It's a failed
attempt.
We are not just living by food, bread,
and water alone.
We are living and eating on every word
that proceeds out of the mouth of the
Lord.
>> Your mother, father, aunties, uncles,
family members that was before you, they
were praying for you. That's why you and
I are here today. They prayed the word
of God over you, over your name. And you
are to do the same for the next
generation. We're not living by the
food, the crabs, the lobsters, the
juice, the water. That's not why we're
here. We're living by the word of God.
His word, when it goes forward, he says,
"My word will not return unto me void."
Let's go to Deuteronomy 8:3.
>> [snorts]
>> And he humbled you and allowed you to
hunger and fed you with mana which you
knew not. Neither did your fathers know
that he might make you know that man
does not live by bread only. But by
every word that proceeds out of the
mouth of the Lord does man live. We are
able to live because we are operating
under the word of God.
God wants us to allow his spirit to lead
us. Allow him to guide us. Allow him to
strengthen us. And in this obedience, we
gain, we win, we benefit. We get life
and we get life more abundantly. We get
eternal life in heaven with God. And
then we get the benefits on earth that
comes with our obedience. Just like we
reward our children, the Lord rewards us
when we obey.
We are extremely blessed and well taken
care of when we allow the spirit of the
Lord to lead us. On Wednesday night
Bible study, the Lord used Pastor Ross
in a mighty way to encourage us about a
secret place. For those of you that was
not in Bible study, you can log on to
YouTube or our um website, Shield of
Faith Long Beach, and you can listen to
that Bible study teaching. It was
awesome. For those of us that was there,
this is just a recap.
with going off your notes and what you
obtain um from that in this secret place
he spoke about
this secret place in the presence of the
Lord.
It's in his word.
The secret place establishes a personal
relationship with God. He instructs us
there and in those instructions he's
trying to lead and guide us to the next
level in him.
Let's go to Psalms 91, which is where he
came from.
Psalms 91
1-13.
I had it marked here.
Here we go. It says Psalms 91. It says,
"He that dwelleth in the secret place of
the most high shall abide under the
shadow of the Almighty.
I will say of the Lord, he is my refuge
and my fortress, my God. In him will I
trust. Surely he shall deliver thee from
the snare of the fowler, and from the
nosome noisome pestilence. He shall
cover thee with his feathers, and under
his wing shall thou trust. His truth
shall be thy shield and buckler. Thou
shalt not be afraid for the terror by
night, nor for the ma the arrow that
flieth by day, nor for the pestilence
that walketh in darkness, nor for the
destruction that wasteth at noon day. A
thousand shall fall at thy side, and
10,000 at thy right hand, but it shall
not come nigh thee. Only with thy eyes
shalt thou behold and see the reward of
the wicked. Because thou hast made the
Lord, which is my refuge, even the most
high thy habitation. There shall no evil
befall thee. Neither shall any plague
come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall
give his angels charge over thee, to
keep thee in all thy ways.
They shall bear thee up in in their
hands, least thou dash they foot against
a stone. Thou shalt tread upon the lion
and add and young lion and the dragon
shall thou trample under feet.
Here
this is being this is being in that
secret place. And these are the benefits
that comes when you're in that secret
place. When you obey and you allow the
Lord to lead you. Because when we are in
that secret place, we're worshiping.
We're praising. We're reading the word
of God. And he's preparing us. He's
strengthening us to go on tomorrow and
all the other days throughout the week
and throughout the years. And he's
giving us instructions on what to do.
How will we know what to do if we're not
spending time with the Lord? If we're
not reading, if we're not consulting
with him who sees. We already saw
scriptures earlier. He sees and knows
everything. It's his eye, not my eye,
not your eye, not your neighbor's eye.
It's his eye that goes beyond. His eye
is from the beginning to the ending.
When we are led by the spirit of the
Lord, we are safe. Safe from all the
devil's snares, tactics, and devices.
Does that mean he won't try? No. But no
weapon formed against you. No weapon
formed against me shall prosper. I can
do all things in Christ that strengthens
me. You can do all things through Christ
that strengthens you.
But this is where you find out your
instructions in that secret place. You
get the instructions in the word of God.
You get the instructions when he wakes
you up in the in the middle of the
night. I couldn't sleep for nothing last
night. I was a little irritated and and
and I was in in the flesh. And then when
I woke up and I got up, it dawned on me.
I said, "Lord, you've been trying to get
me up to speak to me. you've been trying
to get me up and I know this, but at
this moment I was trying to sleep. I I
was under a lot of things was going
through my mind and I just wanted the
rest because I was real tired and I
guess the Lord allowed me to sleep for
the amount of time he allowed me to
sleep for because I literally didn't get
no sleep last night. I was up. But I
said, "Oh Lord, you want to speak to me?
I'm so sorry." I began to repent. But
it's in those moments that if we allow
our flesh to take control, we will miss
those moments.
It's God tapping, knocking, trying to
get our attention because we're so busy.
We have all these distractions. The
world is so loud. Have you ever taken
the time to be quiet? Turn your phone
off. Don't put it on vibrate. Put it on
silent or turn it off. Don't watch TV.
Don't do nothing. Just sit in silence.
is the most challenging thing if you
haven't done it.
>> But it's when you can hear the Lord.
>> You can hear him clearly
>> and you're like, "Is that me, Lord? Is
that you?"
>> You hear him and you can see things in
ways that you never saw them before. He
begins to give you revelation. He begins
to instruct you and guide and direct
you. But we won't get that if we're not
spending the time with him. We won't get
that if we're not allowing him to lead
us.
>> Let's go to Psalms 37
22- 24.
Psalms 37:22-
24. It says, "For such as be blessed of
him shall inherit the earth, and they
that be cursed of him shall be cut off."
The steps,
the steps,
the steps of a good man are ordered by
the Lord. And he delights in his way.
Though he fall, he shall not be utterly
cast down. For the Lord upholds him with
his hand.
When we are allowing the Lord to lead
us, we're good men. were good women. And
in that leading, he says, "I'm ordering
your steps. I'm telling you where to go
and what to do." And he says, "And in
that, I'm delighting in you because you
following me." He's really delighting in
his word, but if we're following his
word, he's delighting in you.
He loves us. He wants us to get it. And
he's constantly meeting us here. He's
constantly meeting us at Bible study.
He's constantly meeting us everywhere we
go. Even if you don't have the Holy
Ghost, God is still talking to you.
>> He's talking all day long, every day.
But are we listening? Can you hear him?
Turn the radio off. Can you hear him?
And in your listening, he says, "Your
steps are ordered."
Your steps are ordered when you are
covered and you're following me.
>> That's the only way it can be done.
That's the only way we prosper is when
we are yielded to him because it's his
instructions
is his reward is his consequences.
So if we're following them to the tea,
even though the enemy comes and tries to
distract us, he comes to try to to to
get us caught up. The Lord says, "I have
you. I'mma cover you. I have you." And
he gave us many patriots in the Bible to
see that. And even in your time, God has
provided a way of escape for you. I
don't know from what, but I know because
he's the same yesterday, today, and
forever more. He did it for the
patriarchs in the Bible. He's doing it
for me today. He's doing it for our
leaders and our patriots today. He's
doing it for you. And he's going to do
it for your children. He's going to do
it for your grandchildren and your
greats and and generations to go on and
on and on.
>> He's following his word.
>> He's following his word to see if his
word is being done in the way he
instructed it. He says, "And if you are
following me to the tea, you good." When
we allow the spirit of the Lord to lead
us, we are safe. We are covered and we
are good. We are in good hands because
we're in his perfect will. We're not in
his permissive will. We're in his
perfect will when we are being led by
the spirit of the Lord.
>> There's no weapon that can form against
us that can prosper.
>> Who do you know where a lion won't eat
you when it's hungry? Who do you know
where you in a fire and the fire they
don't even smell the residue on you and
you come out not touched? Who do you
know can do that?
>> They obeyed.
>> They allowed the spirit of the Lord to
lead them. And God is saying, "I'm
trying to get you and me. Allow me to
lead you. I'm going to cover every which
way. You can't even think of the
different ways in which the enemy is
going to attack you, but I know. And I
have them all covered.
>> I have them all covered.
There is one more cloud of witness.
This is the one,
the perfect one, the ultimate example
that we should be mirroring after. The
perfect example we should be looking up
to is Jesus. Let's go to Matthew 4:1.
Matthew
4 verse 1.
Then was Jesus led up of the spirit into
the wilderness into into the wilderness
to be tempted of the devil. And when he
had fast 40 days and 40 nights, he was
afterwards and hungered. And when the
tempter came to him, he said, "If thou
be the son of God, command that these
stones be made bread." But he answered
and said, "It is written, man shall not
live by bread alone, but by every word
that proceeds out of the mouth of God."
Then the devil taketh him up into the
holy city, and setth him on a pinnacle
of the temple, and said unto him, If
thou be the Son of God, cast thyself
down, for it is written, He shall give
his angels charge concerning thee, and
in their hands they shall bear thee up,
least at any time thou dash thy foot
against a stone." And Jesus said unto
him, "It is written again,
Thou shalt not tempt the Lord thy God."
Again, the devil taketh him up into an
exceeding high mountain, and showeth him
all the kingdoms of the world, and the
glory of them. And said unto him, "All
these things will I give thee, if thou
will fall down and worship me." Then
said Jesus unto him, "Get thee hence,
Satan,
for it is written, thou shalt worship
the Lord thy God, and him only shall thy
serve." Then the devil
leaveth him, and behold, angels came and
ministered unto him.
Jesus an allowed the spirit of the Lord
to lead him.
The Lord does not ask us to do nothing
that he didn't do.
Everything that he's asking us to do, he
did it and he led by example.
Here we know Jesus and God are the same.
We we won't get into that. But we know
that in his deity, he's God, but in his
humanity, he was Jesus. and he allowed,
he submitted, he surrendered his way and
he allowed the spirit of the Lord to
lead him. He was tempted, but in his
quality time with the Lord, in his
secret place with God Almighty,
the Lord poured into him and gave him
the word of God to fight in this battle.
This battle is not ours.
It's the Lord's.
>> This battle is not ours. It is the
Lord's. He has given us everything that
we need to stand.
The word of God. We're standing on the
word of God. We're standing on his
promises.
He gave Satan the word of God and he
fled. Are we giving our situation the
word of God so he can flee?
That's the key.
When we're up against situations,
speak the word of God. And after saying
it once, it the devil might stay you. He
He He stayed here a couple of times. He
He stayed three times, but then
the word says um after hearing the word
of God, you keep hearing it, you hearing
it, and it's supposed to transform you.
The enemy didn't want to keep hearing
it, so he left. He gonna leave you alone
if you continue to give him the word of
God and you just keep saying it. Say it
two or three times and watch he leave.
Say it four or five or six times. He
going to leave you alone probably the
rest of the day.
We have to allow the Lord to lead us.
Because in that leading there's
provision. In that leading there's
reward. And I'm not saying don't do it
for the reward. Do it to put a smile on
his face. Do it to make him proud that
he chose you. Do it so that he can say,
"Look at my servant. Look at Sister
Lois. You You thought you can get her,
but look at how she stood and
represented me." And then your family is
looking at you. And then they're friends
and so forth and so forth. And then we
become that cloud of witness. I can't do
it. You can do it. I did it last week.
And we began to share our experience.
give your testimony of how he saw you
through, how you allowed the Lord to
lead you and it was in his leading that
he provided provision and now you
witnessing and now that person tries the
Lord and then they experience the Lord
for themselves.
This is an example of not allowing the
cares of the world to get you choked up.
The enemy presented all kind of things
to Jesus. everything, but the Lord
rejected it. When he come when the enemy
comes to tempt you and me and and offer
us all these marvelous things that we
want and we desire,
turn it away if it's not representative
of God. If it's contrary to holiness and
righteousness, speak the word against it
and watch the devil flee.
The beautiful thing about Jesus, he's
not asking us to do anything that he
didn't do.
He's not asking us to do anything that
he did not do. He's letting us know if I
did it, you can do it.
He is the ultimate example that we
should be following.
Let's allow the spirit of God to lead
us. And I have two more scriptures.
Let's go to Psalms 37.
Psalms 37. Verse
five, it says, "Commit your way to the
Lord. Trust also in him, and he shall
bring it to pass."
Commit your way, my way. Let's surrender
and allow him to lead us. And then we
have to trust that everything is good.
We have to trust that he's going to make
it come to pass. And it says, "And he
shall bring it to pass."
He's bringing it to pass because we
obeyed. He's bringing it to pass because
we yielded to him and we followed his
instructions.
And then he says, "I'm going to reward
you." So, we get a double reward on
earth and in heaven. Our last scripture,
Proverbs 3
5-10.
And we know this. Proverbs 3, "Trust in
the Lord with all thy heart, and lean
not unto thy own understanding. In all
thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall
direct thy paths. Be not wise in thy own
eyes. Fear the Lord, reference the Lord,
and depart from evil. It shall be health
to thy navl, and marrow to thy bones.
Honor the Lord with thy substance and
with the first
excuse me the first fruits of all thy
increase. So shall thou so shall thy
barns be filled with plenty and thy
presses shall burst out with new wine.
New wine.
The Lord says, "When you follow me, when
you allow me
to lead and to guide you, you're saying
yes. I'm going to bless you. I'm going
to keep you. And there is no weapon
formed against you that will prosper
when you are under my covering, my
perfect will."
Let's allow the Lord, the spirit of God
to lead us.
Amen.
>> Amen.
>> The word has come to us
great fashion
>> and it should touch each heart.
So,
I've taken notes and so many notes and
good notes.
I want new wine.
And what we have to do after we put
these things in action that we've heard,
it's time to surrender.
>> The Lord is able to
meet every need that we have in our
lives.
And so what I I will say at this
particular time, you need to surrender
to the Lord.
>> I surrender all to Jesus.
I surrender all to him. I freely give.
I will ever love and trust him
in his presence daily live. Let us
stand.
>> [clears throat]
>> All to Jesus [music]
I [singing]

[music]

I [singing]
[music] surrender
all
[music]
all to thee I surrender.
We've been challenged [music] today
to do it right.
We've been challenged
>> to let
the very
tempting things in life.
And we have to be perfect.
We have to do the things that the Lord
commands. The Lord doesn't
suggest.
>> He says, "If you're going to be mine,
you've got to do what I say do."
>> And you got to do it, you can't do it
almost.
>> He said, "You got to do it perfectly."
And when we struggle and try,
temptations come to us.
We miss the mark.
Missed the mark means we didn't get it
right.
There's grace [snorts] and there's
mercy. Thank you. Thank you, Jesus.
>> Thank you.
>> Thank God for grace.
>> Thank God for mercy. Thank God that we
missed the mark, but he said, "Come unto
me all ye that labor."
>> He said, "And I'll give you rest." He
said, "I'll [snorts] set you free. I'll
give you another chance.
Is there anyone here today
and you need
comfort,
you know, the devil, he he'll fool with
you and mess you up and and you'll be
all out of your head.
But if you come to Jesus,
he will save you. Save you
completely.
Is there one?
All right. If there's anyone
who needs prayer for any anything,
sickness, [snorts]
help, grace, mercy.
Maybe if I sing that one more time.

>> for
>> the service today. All right,
it's time to receive our offering.
>> Praise the Lord. Get ready for your
blessings.
Praise the Lord, saints. Hallelujah.
Hallelujah. It's time for our offering.
As Minister Tanisha Bruce was speaking,
she read in the Proverbs chapter 3.
Hallelujah.
Two verses.
They said chapter 3 verse 9 says,
"Honor,
honor the Lord
>> with thy substance
and with the first fruit of all thy
increase as the Lord has given to us.
It's our responsibility to give back to
him first. first even before we pay our
bills.
>> It's his right off the top. It says,
"Sur shall thy barns be filled with
plenty,
>> and thy press shall burst out with new
wine."
>> You want to be blessed,
pay the Lord his tithe. Give the Lord
what's blown to him, and the Lord will
open up a windows and pull you out a
blessing that you won't have room to
receive.
But if you withhold from him,
he going to withhold from you.
>> You going to have holes in your pocket.
I don't care how much money you have.
Before you know it, that money is gone
and your bill still has not paid.
>> So we give the Lord what belongs to him
>> as he has given to us.
>> Honor the Lord. He's worthy of it.
>> He's worthy of it. You know, in every
area of our lives, the Lord is worthy of
our tithes. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. And
she mentioned obedience.
Being obedient to the word of God. Give
the Lord what belongs to him and watch
the Lord bless you. You won't have room
to receive all the blessings that he
will pour out unto you. Please stand
with me in Jesus name.
Let's hold our offering up to the Lord
in Jesus name. Father, we thank you, we
praise you, we glorify, Lord, we magnify
your name. We thank you for this
morning, Lord God, for giving us a mind
and the desire, Lord God, to be here,
Lord God, to sit at your feet, Lord God,
and hear from you, Lord God, in Jesus
name. Lord, we ask you this evening,
Lord, that you will bless this offering.
Multiply. Let it continue to meet the
needs, Lord God, in Jesus' name. Lord
God, we thank you for those that had a
mind to give, a mind to be obedient to
your word, Lord God. In Jesus' name,
Jesus name we pray. Amen. And amen. He
may come and bring you offering
>> and
ever
for all
you done
you done for [singing] me.
[music]
Blessing and glory [singing]
and honor
may all belong [singing and music]
to you.
Thank you Jesus
for blessing
me one more time.
Just want [music] to praise you
forever
[music] and ever
and ever.
[music]
for all [singing]
you done.
You done for me.
[music]
Glory,
>> blessing and glory
[music] and honor
they all [singing]
[music] belong to you.
Thank you Jesus [music]
for bless.
>> Hallelujah. Let's pray over all the
offering. Father we thank you. We praise
you. We glorify. We thank you for this
offering that we have received Lord God
in Jesus name. Lord God multiply it Lord
God. Multiply it Lord God. Let it
continue to meet every need Lord God in
this church Lord God. Hallelujah. Lord
God we thank you. We praise you. We

God. Hallelujah Lord Jesus. Hallelujah.
We thank you for this offering in Jesus
name we pray. In Jesus name. Amen and
[music] amen.
>> Praise the Lord. Amen. Thank you,
Minister Tanisha.
>> Amen. The the the the Lord had really,
you know, when you're praying in your in
your personal prayers and the Lord had
really um put it on my heart how the
saints need to say yes.
>> They need to obey God.
>> Trust his leading.
>> Trust his lead. Listen, he got you.
>> He got you.
All you have to do is just lean in.
Lean in. When um my my my uh grandbaby,
a little girl,
she has
she has a special attachment to her
grandfather.
when he comes along,
her whole countenance changes
and she grabbed one of his legs and just
hold on to it. You know
the um she calls him daddy too just like
she calls her daddy daddy. They look
alike
and so she calls him daddy.
and
to see her. She listens to what he says.
She has this little thing where she
knows he's in trouble. She'll drop
stuff. She'll throw it and run.
And he tell her, "Come back here. Pick
that up." And she comes her little happy
self right on back and pick it up and
put it where it needs to be. Trust God.
Yes.
>> Trust God.
You know, if if we put confidence in our
parents,
which sometimes don't have the best, you
know, sometimes, you know, but their
intentions are well, but God is always
intentional about what he's does. He
minister said he knows your beginning
from your end.
So, come on. Come on and trust him and
lean on him. Be led by him. Obey him. He
has your best interest at at heart.
Thank you, Lord, for sending us a
beautiful word of God. Let's give him
another hand praise.
Hallelujah. Come on. It's time for us to
get ready and get out of here. Come on.
Amen. Listen. Listen. If you don't have
the link for Bible study, you need to
get it. I know Sister Terry has it. I
know it's probably on the website or you
know, but get it so you can come to
Bible study because there's a lot that's
going on in Bible study and you need to
be a part of it. Amen. Come on.
[music]
Okay. I am determined to walk with
Jesus. Yes, I am.
I'm determined to walk with Jesus. Yes,
I am.
Through all trials, tribulation,
persecution, I'll be faithful. I'm
determined to walk with Jesus. Yes, I I
am. I am determined to walk with Jesus.
Yes, I am.
>> Come on. I'm determined to walk with
Jesus. Yes, I am.
through hard trials, tribulation,
persecution. I'll be faithful. I'm
determined for Jesus.
>> Yes, I am.
>> Hallelujah. Come on. Hold my hand, Lord.
Hold my hand.
Hold my hand, Lord. Hold my hand.
[music]
Why?
Cuz I'm still on it. Yes. I want Jesus.
to hold my hand. Walk with me. Walk with
me, Lord. Walk with me.
Walk with me, Lord. Walk with me.
[music]
I want Come on.
I'm [music]
>> keep me on. Keep me on this
journey.
I want [music] Jesus [singing]
to walk with me.
Come on, walk with us, Jesus.
Walk with us, Jesus. [music and singing]
Walk with us, Jesus.
God bless you. We love you. We'll see
you on Bible study on Wednesday night.
Hallelujah.
