Video summary
Corey Russell shares his radical testimony of being saved and baptized in the Holy Spirit in 1997, describing an immediate freedom from addiction and a subsequent spiritual awakening that transformed his small town. Following his salvation, he developed a deep "holy addiction" to God's presence, spending hours daily reading Scripture and memorizing Psalms while struggling to replace worldly lyrics with divine truth. During his first two years of faith, he was mentored by older intercessors who taught him the disciplines of prayer, fasting, and praying through burdens, leading him to dedicate nearly twenty years to a life focused almost exclusively on ministry through prayer rather than traditional career paths.
Russell argues that the baptism of the Holy Spirit is not merely a one-time event or limited to speaking in tongues, but an ongoing, ever-increasing immersion into God's power, conviction, holiness, and glory that believers must continually seek throughout their lives. He emphasizes that true spiritual power comes from being filled with the Spirit rather than relying on manipulation or pseudo-realities, noting that Jesus spent forty days after His resurrection teaching before sending fire to baptize His disciples. The baptism of the Holy Spirit is described as the greatest event in human history because it crowns the work of Christ's death and resurrection, causing Jesus to go viral by disrupting industries, shaking apathy within the church, and releasing glory that unnerves wickedness.
The speaker warns against the danger of treating the baptism as a badge of accomplishment that leads to self-righteousness or arrogance, asserting instead that it works the soul of Christ into the believer and produces division from worldly values rather than fake unity. Drawing parallels between Hannah's desperate prayer in 1 Samuel and the experience of being mistaken for drunk due to intense spiritual fervor, Russell illustrates how God often uses seasons of bitterness, weeping, and anguish to break open a person's heart before releasing a fresh outpouring. He encourages listeners to move beyond superficial experiences and religious routines, urging them to embrace a deep, desperate prayer life that allows God to consume the chaff of dead religion and fill them with His own fire.
Ultimately, Russell calls for a generational shift in how the church approaches prayer, rejecting the notion that one has "arrived" after an initial experience and instead embracing the reality that God is an endless ocean of supply for those who remain dependent on Him. He challenges the audience to recognize when their spiritual river has turned into a trickle due to addiction to worldly things and to seek a fresh baptism that restores their capacity for intimacy with God. By opening their vulnerable areas to Him, believers can experience the fullness of the Spirit that empowers them to be witnesses globally, ensuring that what they receive is given back to the Lord rather than used for personal influence or online popularity.

My name is Corey Russell and I got
radically saved in 1997.
Come on.
Strung out drug addict hit by the power
of God. I had a praying mother and my
best friend had a praying mother and
they stormed the gates of heaven and
hell for us.
And uh I got hit by the power of God
February 18,97.
It's a radical testimony.
And uh uh immediately set free from
everything, born again in a moment,
baptized in the spirit, and then we saw
a move of God hit our small town. Over
the next 6 months, we would see half the
high school come to Jesus.
Five meetings a week till 3:00 in the
morning. And I got a holy addiction to
the presence of God.
Anybody love the presence of God?
I had just gotten my second DWI right
before I got saved. So, I couldn't drive
anywhere for my first year and a half of
being saved.
So, I would just read my Bible for eight
hours a day. And this is way back in the
old days where we just had like horse
and buggy and all kinds of stuff back
then. It's craziness.
But I was saying I was going to read the
Bible and especially I wanted to
memorize Psalm 119.
cuz I'm like, "God, I got to get rid of
all these Tupac lyrics in my head.
I'm still working on a couple, but
that's beside the point."
And I just read the Bible and I began to
connect to these older women
intercessors.
Couple of And I spent the majority of my
first two years with the Lord hanging
out with two 50 year olds and one
80year-old woman.
I'm a 20-year-old freak out of the world
and all I wanted to be was in prayer.
>> And and when these women prayed, I could
feel God.
>> I believe the greatest disciplehip that
you can give is what happens when you
close your eyes or what happens when you
lift your eyes. Do atmospheres change?
Do atmospheres change when you talk to
God?
>> Because you can't fake that. I can fake
you out today with the gifting on a
stage.
>> But Leonard Ravenhill said, "No man is
greater than his prayer life.
Who you are alone with God is your
reality."
>> We can fake everybody out in public
spaces, but who you are alone with God
is your reality.
And I connected to these older women and
they taught me how to pray. They taught
me about early morning prayer and late
night prayer and praying through burdens
and praying the Bible and praying in the
spirit and fasting. And I just got
addicted to it.
>> I loved it. I didn't have any other
plans. I didn't know about ministry. I
just wanted to minister to him.
>> I didn't know about ministering to
people. I just knew about ministering to
him and got married to my beautiful
wife. We just celebrated 28 years here a
couple weeks ago.
Had our first daughter in 99. And then
we moved into ministry to to give
ourselves to prayer. And that's where I
spent the better part of 18 to 19 years,
30 hours a week of prayer and fasting
and reading of the word and not really
having any other plans. But when you
know this that when you get connected to
God, you start getting filled with the
things of God.
Everybody uses God as a step ladder to
their destiny.
>> But when God becomes the source, he
unlocks everything that he wants to do
through you.
And so we did that and we've been on
journey. We're currently in Denver and I
have I feel like I'm on earth to awaken
prayer in this generation.
>> We've written nine books on prayer.
We've done seven prayer albums and then
we're going after it with Corey Russell
online. We've got over 300 hours of
content
to strengthen you in your life of
prayer. Thousands across the earth doing
this.
I'd encourage you if you want to jump
into that. That's at Road to Emmas.
We're walking through the Bible. But go
ahead and turn with me to Acts. Turn
with me to the book of Acts. Are y'all
ready? I want to talk to you about the
baptism of the Holy Spirit. Come on.
>> Want to talk to you about the baptism of
the Holy Spirit. You're like, I got
that.
>> I'm like, you ain't got nothing.
>> I'm grateful for tongues. But friends,
if we relegated baptism of the spirit to
some dribblings at an altar call 5 years
ago, then you have sorely missed the
full purpose of the baptism of the Holy
Spirit.
The baptism of the Holy Spirit, it's
tongues, but it's a lot more than
tongues. It's power.
It's conviction. It's holiness. It's
glory.
>> And it's not a one-time experience at
youth camp 10 years ago.
>> It is an ongoing everinccreasing
>> outpouring and baptism immersion into
God.
>> And the baptism you got at 20, friends,
you need another one at 30. And you need
another one at 40. And you need another
one at 50. AND YOU NEED ANOTHER ONE AT
60.
YOU NEED ANOTHER ONE AT 70.
YOU NEVER GRADUATE.
YOU never arrive.
IT'S NOT A BADGE THAT YOU WALK AROUND
SAYING, "I GOT IT." Do you?
>> My question is, DOES IT GOT YOU?
THE SAME SPIRIT OF RELIGION THAT WILL
REST IN SOME denominations will rest in
the Pentecostal denomination BECAUSE WE
GET A ONE-TIME EXPERIENCE AND THEN WE
WALK AROUND LOOKING DOWN OUR NOSES AT
OTHER PEOPLE WHO HAVEN'T ARRIVED AT THE
LEVELS THAT WE'RE AT.
And I would submit TO YOU THAT IF THAT
IS YOUR AIM, YOU HAVEN'T BEEN BAPTIZED
in the Holy Spirit yet.
CUZ IT DOESN'T PRODUCE
SELF-RIGHTEOUSNESS or arrogance or
pride, but it works the soul of Christ
into you.
Good to meet you, too. Everybody smile.
I'm really funny.
I've got some good jokes, but I don't
know if I'm going to come out today with
them.
>> All right. Acts one. Let's read this. I
love it. Acts one. It says this. And
being assembled together with them, he
commanded them not to depart from
Jerusalem,
but to wait. Everybody say, "Wait." Wait
for the promise of the Father, which he
said, "You've heard from me." John truly
baptized with water, but you shall be
baptized with the Holy Spirit not many
days from now. Therefore, when they came
together, they asked him, "Lord, will
you at this time restore the kingdom to
Israel?" I think that's a pretty
interesting question. After 40 days of
Jesus teaching in a resurrected body,
note how Jesus answers their question.
He doesn't tell them, "No, all that Old
Testament stuff doesn't matter anymore."
>> He didn't correct them and say, "No,
it's not about that anymore." He
redirected the timing of the restoration
of the kingdom of Israel.
And he said to them, "It's not for you
to know the times or the seasons which
the Father's put in his own authority,
but you shall receive power."
>> Everybody say, "Power."
>> Power.
>> See this? When you don't have power, all
you got is manipulation.
>> When you don't have power, you know how
to manipulate algorithms.
>> We've become professionals at the art of
persuasion.
manipulation,
witchcraft.
>> When you get WHEN YOU DON'T HAVE POWER,
YOU GOT TO COME UP WITH A PSEUDO reality
to manipulate you of thinking it's power
when it's not. But the true baptism of
the spirit is a baptism into power.
Paul didn't come with a nice little TED
talk, but he came in power.
When the Holy Spirit come upon you.
Everybody say on you.
>> See, Holy Spirit in me is for me. Holy
Spirit on me is for you.
>> You shall receive power when the Holy
Spirit's come upon you, and you're going
to be witnesses to me in Jerusalem,
Judea, Samaria, to the ends of the
earth.
All right.
The baptism of the Holy Spirit is the
greatest event in human history.
>> Why, Corey? Because it crowns the
ascension of Jesus.
>> That crowns the resurrection of Jesus.
>> That crowns the death of Jesus.
>> That crowns the life of Jesus. And it
will only be surpassed by the second
coming of Jesus.
>> The baptism of the Holy Spirit is when
Jesus goes viral.
We're used to reals and shorts and
everything else going viral. But the
baptism of the spirit is when Jesus goes
viral.
>> When Jesus's name disrupts industries
and cities. WHEN IT BEGINS TO UNNERVE
unrighteousness and wickedness, WHEN IT
BEGINS TO SHAKE THE CHURCH OUT OF apathy
and lethargy and begins to release glory
upon the church. That's the baptism of
the spirit, friend. And it's the
greatest event in human history.
Who would have loved to have BEEN AT THE
40-DAY conference of Jesus in a
resurrected body?
Let's talk about that Holy Spirit
conference. THREE OF YOU. WHO WOULD HAVE
LOVED DO YOU KNOW THAT AFTER THE
RESURRECTION, hear me? AFTER THE
RESURRECTION, JESUS SPENT 40 days
walking around translating, walking
through walls, eating, and teaching on
the kingdom of God for 40 days. WHO
WOULD HAVE LOVED THAT NOTEBOOK?
I don't know how those disciples did it.
I'd have just lived on 20-minute naps
for 40 days.
I wouldn't miss one second cuz Jesus
ain't sleeping.
>> He's hanging OUT IN A RESURRECTED BODY.
>> AND THIS IS WHAT BLOWS MY MIND. I would
have loved that. And you would think
that that notebook would be enough to
start Christianity.
I want to submit to you that the
information alone was not going to
change the world.
The information concerning his death and
resurrection was not going to change the
world. That's why he said, "TAKE YOUR
NOTEBOOK, GO BACK TO JERUSALEM, go up
into a little room, and begin to wait
because I want to send fire to this
information.
I WANT TO BAPTIZE YOU WITH THE HOLY
SPIRIT AND FIRE. IT'S NOT GOING TO BE
TED TALKS AND GOOD information that's
going to change the world. It's going TO
BE WHEN THE INFORMATION has become one
with the vessel and they are baptized in
the Holy Spirit.
>> See, I've got to crack through
Pentecostal language in here cuz we all
know it.
>> We're so familiar with the word Holy
SPIRIT. HOLY SPIRIT, HOLY SPIRIT. so
used to saying it, we get inoculated to
him.
>> We get inoculated to fresh baptisms,
>> fresh feelings of God.
If I were to ask you, what was John the
Baptist favorite title of Jesus
recorded in all four gospels? What would
you say?
>> Lamb of God.
>> Lamb of God. Some might say, "Lamb of
God."
>> God. Some might say Messiah.
Some might say bridegroom, son of God.
In all four gospels, Jesus quotes it in
Acts and Paul quotes it later.
It's I baptize you with water.
But him,
I can only clean the outside of the cup.
>> I can ONLY GET YOU READY for repentance
AND GET YOU READY TO COME IN.
HE'S MIGHTIER THAN I.
>> He's mightier than I.
>> WHEN HE COMES,
>> HE'S GOING TO BAPTIZE YOU WITH THE HOLY
GHOST AND FIRE.
Hear me? Which means this, it's not an
outward reality. He's going to burn up
ALL THE CHAFF OF DEAD religion on the
inside of you. He's going to rearrange
something on the inside of you.
Come on.
>> The baptism of the Holy Ghost and fire.
The Holy Ghost synchronizes you from
within.
Burns up the chaff of dead religion.
Burns up the secret sins you run to in
rejection.
Consumes and confronts the areas of lust
and pride and envy and jealousy.
and it begins to get up in your
business.
I love Luke 12. Can y'all run with me
this morning?
>> Pull on the word. Luke 12. I got a
question for you. Why did Jesus come to
the earth? To seek and save the lost?
Yes.
To lay down his life and give it as a
ransom for many? Yes.
To die on a cross? Yes. But in Luke
12:49,
Jesus said, "I came to send fire on the
earth."
>> AND HOW I WISH THIS party was already
started. Can you feel this is about 6
months before Calvary.
>> Can you feel Jesus's longing TO BREAK
OUT OF HIS BODY AND GO VIRAL?
He couldn't stand
the LIMITATIONS of being localized IN
ONE BODY. HE WANTED TO TAKE HIS SPIRIT
AND MULTIPLY IT.
>> I came to send fire
>> and how I wish it were already kindled.
>> He said, "I have a baptism to be
baptized with." Keep going. I have a
baptism to be baptized with. I have a
baptism to and how distressed I am until
it is accomplished.
He's in pain.
HE'S IN GROANING. HE'S IN AGONY. JESUS
WASN'T RUNNING FROM THE cross or running
around the cross. Friends, he was
running through the cross.
Do you suppose, keep going, that I came
to bring peace?
Yes, Jesus. That's what the the angels
sang to the shepherds.
Peace on earth, goodwill towards men.
Not at all.
But I came for division.
And from now on, I'm going to mess up
family Christmas.
DID ANYBODY GET ON fire in here and
things get weird at home?
Come on. I'm serious.
>> I want to make something very clear to
you. Have you heard a message on
divisive Jesus?
The Jesus who brings division
because I want you to understand
something. I feel like this that the
Pentecostal church, we're we're working
so hard to fit in.
>> We're working so hard to be accepted by
the masses.
We want to lay down the the the awkward
parts.
And the thing about Jesus is he will
first divide and lay hold of you with
his fire.
And his fire will begin to consume you.
And he will pull you and deliver you
from the fear of man. He will deliver
you from the manpleasing spirit. He will
deliver you from putting Pentecostal
reality under a bushel. and he will
claim you for himself.
AND JESUS IS OKAY WITH THE AWKWARDNESS.
>> And when the FIRE BEGINS TO LAY hold of
you, because this is the thing about
Jesus, he hates kumbaya unity.
He hates fake unity.
>> He hates fake. He hates plastic. He
hates INSTAGRAM PICTURES AND POTLUCK
dinners
and we're all getting along.
And he GOES, "NO, THE FIRE WILL PULL YOU
TO HIMSELF, ABSOLUTELY obliterate you
AND SAYS YOU'RE NOT GOING TO THEM.
They're going to come to you."
I want you to know that he is restoring
a hunger for the fire of God. He is
restoring a serious baptism of fire. And
friends, I'm seeing the denominational
walls breaking down. I'm seeing
denominational walls breaking down. I've
got Baptist friends.
I got Baptist friends that are calling
me and spending days with me saying, "I
need the baptism of the spirit."
See, I think this next generation, WE'RE
GOING TO SEE ALL THE WALLS AND ALL THE
STUFF BECAUSE AT THE END OF THE DAY, I
WANT THE FULLNESS OF THE WORD AND I WANT
THE FULLNESS OF THE SPIRIT.
I WANT THE BAPTISM OF GOD AND I WANT THE
WORD OF GOD. I WANT THE WORD OF GOD
CLEAR. I WANT DOCTRINE. I WANT THEOLOGY.
I WANT CHRISTOLOGOLOGY, NEMATOLOGY,
ECCLESIOLOGY.
I WANT ESQUETOLOGY. I WANT THE WORD AND
I WANT THE FIRE.
AND WE'RE NOT GONNA HAVE TO. YOU DON'T
HAVE TO CHOOSE.
TIRED OF PENTECOSTALS WALKING AROUND
WITH A COUPLE OF EXPERIENCES, BUT THEY
DON'T KNOW BIBLE.
>> THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY. WELL, GOD,
I DID RUSSIAN ROULETTE. I DID I DID A
BIBLE ROULETTE. GOD, TALK TO ME
>> AND I GOT A WORD. HE'S SO KIND. HE'LL
TALK THROUGH ANYTHING, BUT HE WANTS TO
TAKE YOU DEEPER THAN A NICE LITTLE BIBLE
ROULETTE ONE DAY. HE WANTS TO FEED YOU
ON HIS WORD.
This is why I'm doing Bible studies. I'm
tired of your opinions. I'm tired of
your cool phrases. I'M TIRED OF YOUR
ONELINERS that can get a lot of likes.
WE'VE JUST GOTTEN ADDICTED TO A BUNCH OF
PATHY oneliners that says nothing.
>> We don't EVEN KNOW WHAT IT SAYS, BUT IT
FEELS COOL.
>> It feels cool. But who IN HERE KNOWS THE
BIBLE?
I WANT YOU TO BE BLASTED IN THE HOLY
GHOST AND THEN I WANT YOU MEMORIZING
WHOLE CHAPTERS OF THE BIBLE.
I came to send fire. Is not my word a
fire? Is not my word a hammer?
>> Oh friends, do you love the Bible?
Has your heart began to burn yet?
Put your hand on your heart. That's the
goal of the Bible is to set your heart
on fire and open your understanding.
I came to send fire.
It's the longing of Jesus.
I want you to know that it's the promise
of the father.
Luke 24:49. I'm going to send the
promise of my father upon you. But tar
in the city. Luke 24:49.
Hallelujah. Promise of the father.
Father told us in Isaiah 44, and I want
everybody to begin to pray in the spirit
right now.
I want you to begin to open up your
spirit.
I'm going to send the promise of my
father. He said, Terry in the father
told us in Isaiah 44, I'm going to pour
out my spirit like water on the dry
ground.
Isaiah 59, he said, "The spirit that's
on you is going to be on your
descendants and descendants descendants.
JOEL CHAPTER 2, I'M going to pour out my
spirit in the last days, says God.
And your sons and daughters are going to
prophesy.
>> I'm going to release signs and wonders.
I'm going to release signs in the
heavens and wonders in the earth.
>> And everyone who calls on the name of
THE LORD WILL BE SAVED.
WELL, THOSE DISCIPLES GOT absolutely
destroyed by the death of Jesus.
I want you to know when those 120 GOT TO
THE UPPER room and you know over 500 saw
him go up in the cloud,
over 500 saw him go up in the cloud
and 380 of them thought that was enough
to start Christianity.
120 got to the upper room and they were
absolutely destroyed.
They weren't struting into the upper
room. They were crawling.
Every idea of Jesus got obliterated.
Peter had just denied Jesus and just
gotten shame broken off of him and he
was starting to lean in again.
You've got brothers who didn't even
BELIEVE IN JESUS 40 DAYS EARLIER ARE NOW
in the room.
Come on.
>> The thing, Vlad, that I love about the
120, we only know 15 of their names.
A bunch of no-namers got the baptism.
>> Guess who else was in there? Mary.
>> How many mamas we got in here?
>> You need the baptism of the Holy Ghost
to be a mom.
Come on.
>> The other thing I love about Jesus is he
got family in the room.
>> How many here we've got family members
that are away from the Lord?
>> Yeah.
Jesus is into getting the whole family
in the room.
They crawled to the upper room and look
at Acts 2:1. You know this verse, but
you don't. And when the day of Pentecost
had fully come, everybody say fully.
>> Fully.
>> There's something about the fullness of
time.
There's something when God has done his
full work of breaking you and making you
and shaking you.
See, I got mighty baptisms in my 20s and
30s and early 40s, but this is the
temptation.
You'll get a breakthrough in God, ride
the wave of that, and then begin to live
in the residuals of last season's
breakthrough,
>> and then because America tells you how
anointed and awesome you are, you'll
ride that for 20 years with no gas in
the tank.
And then I'll preach from books I wrote
15 years ago and nobody will know the
difference.
>> But there's a fullness of time. There's
a fresh outpouring.
>> There's a fresh outpouring.
>> The full the day of Pentecost had fully
come. They were all with one accord in
one place. God's into anointing
addresses.
There are addresses when God gathers
people to the same room at the same time
in the same place with the same vision.
I want to be filled with God.
Isuza 3:16. We've got
>> we got Isuza Street Mission.
>> You've got Alders Gate where John
Wesley's heart was strangely warmed. the
Heb's islands
addresses in history when God comes
down. There's something about God taking
you to a place of complete sitting in
the presence of God, of resting, and of
giving away all self-righteousness, all
human energy.
>> And that's what opens the heart to be
filled with God.
>> God's got to get you sitting. So, he
might take a decade wearing you out.
You know, God doesn't have a problem
wasting a decade on you just getting you
delivered from your energy.
>> He'll take your 20s and wear you out
till you're finally sitting, sitting on
the inside at rest in Christ, completely
dependent on him, desperate to the core
of your being.
And they heard AND THEN THEY SAW DIVIDED
TONGUES OF FIRE. Matt people had divided
fire over their heads. Tongues. And they
were all filled WITH THE SPIRIT AND THEY
BEGAN TO TALK IN OTHER tongues of the
nations.
All the Jews had come for feast of
Shabaw or weeks.
THEY HAD GATHERED TO JERUSALEM AND GOD'S
GOING TO BIRTH HIS CHURCH WITH 120
GALILEAN FISHERMEN
STUMBLING OUT A ROOM WHEN EVERYBODY'S
THERE talking in the languages of the
nations
looking drunk at 9 in the morning. Jesus
chose and I want you to know there's a
misunderstanding over the fanaticism.
There's a drunkenness that's coming back
to the church. There's a holy
inebriation that is going to fill the
church.
There's a holy inebriation that's going
to flood the church again. Because when
you're wholly inebriated, you're
delivered from the opinions of men.
>> You're delivered from selfrespect.
You're delivered from looking having it
all together.
And
>> God's got to wear you out from your
weirdness so he can fill you with his
weirdness.
Uh,
all right. Well, Corey, they got it on
on THE DAY OF PENTECOST. PRAISE GOD.
GUESS WHAT THEY WERE DOING TWO years
later in Acts 4? They were seeking a
fresh baptism.
>> Put Acts four. AND WHEN THEY PRAYED, THE
PLACE WHERE THEY WERE ASSEMBLED TOGETHER
WAS SHAKEN.
>> AND THEY WERE ALL FILLED WITH THE HOLY
SPIRIT AND THEY SPOKE THE WORD OF GOD
WITH BOLDNESS.
I thought it was a one-time experience.
No, friends, it is crossing a threshold
into a new world that there's fresh
outpourings, fresh fillings, fresh
baptisms.
Many of you don't even know what I'm
talking about because you saying, "I got
tongues.
I got it."
Acts 8, Samaria got filled with the
spirit.
Acts nine, Paul got filled with the
spirit.
Acts 10, Cornelius got filled with the
spirit. Acts 19, Ephesus got filled with
the spirit. Acts 13, Antioch, the Holy
Spirit said,
"What kind of prayer, because this is
what I've got to crack through, is a
desperate, deep prayer
that attracts the fullness of God.
>> Can y'all lean in with me for 15 more
minutes?
>> I want you to pray in the spirit again."
Yeah. Yeah. You pray in tongues at
conference. If you don't pray when
you're alone in your room
and all you can go is two minutes. Then
you're done.
Yeah. Sounds like a library in here.
I didn't know we were in a library.
>> Have you ever wanted anything so bad?
The older I get, Vlad, and I don't know
if this is inner healing. I might need
you to pray for me later,
but the older I get, the more it takes
to move me.
We I've been in a lot of services. I've
seen a lot of stuff. Not a lot. You
know, you just know. And it takes a lot
like, oh my good, God's on this. I can
feel it. It's different. It's different.
Think about how much it takes to move
God. HEAVEN'S HIS THRONE.
HE'S SURROUNDED WITH CREATURES FILLED
WITH EYES WHO ARE ALWAYS BRAGGING ABOUT
HIM.
>> HE'S BEEN HEARING THE SAME SONG ABOUT
HOW AWESOME HE IS FROM BURNING CREATURES
FOREVER.
>> AND THEN HE RESTS HIS FEET ON THE EARTH.
Everything is upheld by the word of his
power.
Everything, the galaxies are upheld by
him resting his feet on the earth,
heavens and throne. Then he goes this,
where's the house you're going to build
me?
THERE'S SOMETHING I REFUSE TO make
that you must make for me.
Where is the PLACE OF MY REST? ALL THOSE
things my hands have made, says the
Lord. I love this. But on this one will
I look. Who would love to catch the gaze
of God?
Three of you. Good.
I've been married 28 years. We got
married before dating apps.
But apparently in dating apps, you can
say I want her 5'9, 510,
blonde hair, loves long walks on the
beach.
There's a type.
You know, God has a type
cuz he's we there's 7 billion people in
the world.
There's burning creatures around the
throne.
And he goes, "Yeah, yeah, yeah, that's
all cool, but I'll tell you what my type
is.
Poverty of spirit,
contrition of heart,
tremblers. This is what they look like
in the spirit.
>> At the core of their their being, they
are completely in need of me.
THEY ARE IN TOUCH THAT APART from me,
they can do nothing.
>> NO. NO. THERE IS A GROAN IN THE CORE OF
THEIR BEING for the depths OF ME THAT NO
AMOUNT OF SMOKE can create,
NO AMOUNT OF ENERGY OR SOUL CAN CREATE.
BUT WHEN OUR DEEP CALLS OUT TO HIS DEEP,
GOD, THAT'S WHAT MOVES ME.
IT'S PSALM 42. DAVID'S LOOKING AT A
PANTING DEER AT A RUSHING WATERFALL AND
GOES, "THAT'S HOW I FEEL."
DEEP CALLS OUT TO DEEP AT THE NOISE OF
YOUR WATERFALLS.
WHEN I HEAR THE WATERFALLS,
WHEN I hear the waterfalls,
ALL YOUR WAVES AND BILLOWS ARE CRASHING
OVER ME. AND ALL IT'S PRODUCING IS A
GROAN FOR GOD. SEE, WE GO THROUGH SOME
WAVES AND BILLOWS AND WE START
COMPLAINING, "HOW COULD you let this
happen, God?"
IT'S BECAUSE IT'S A GOD YOU MADE IN YOUR
OWN IMAGE AND HE AIN'T SERVING you the
way you want him to. IT'S AN IDOL YOU
CAME UP WITH.
IT'S AN IDOL YOU MADE.
YOU HAD A HARD WEEK. GET OVER IT.
Get changed.
>> GET OFF YOUR HIGH HORSE.
>> WE HAD THREE THINGS GO WRONG AND THEN
GOD GETS ON TRIAL.
Who do you think you are?
>> Guys, I want to tell you there's two
places in the Bible to where SOMEONE WAS
MISTAKEN FOR BEING DRUNK.
And in both times they weren't.
>> The first the first one I'M GOING TO
TALK TO YOU ABOUT NOW. THE SECOND ONE IS
the day of Pentecost.
>> MISTAKEN DRUNKENNESS ON THE OUTPOURING.
Which means this WHEN THE HOLY GHOST
COMES ON YOU, you you become another
man.
>> You're out of your mind.
>> Paul told the Corinthians, "IF I'M OUT
OF MY MIND, it's for God."
We need to get out of our minds.
>> We need We need God. I don't need weird
for weird's sake, but I'm like, God,
would you do something that would
deliver us?
The first one in the Bible
was IN A VERY DARK hour of Israel's
history.
The priesthood was in shambles.
THE LEADERSHIP WAS GIVEN OVER TO
IMMORALITY.
The priests were taking more than they
were supposed to.
And their father Eli would not do
anything about it.
When you've GOT LEADERS NOT DISCIPLINING
SONS.
>> WHEN YOU GOT LEADERS LIVING IN APATHY.
AND HE WAS A HEAVY MAN. SO HE WAS GIVEN
OVER TO EATING ALL OF THIS STUFF.
And in THE MIDDLE OF A BARREN HOUR,
GUESS WHAT ELI'S grandson was name was?
Icabad.
And in THE MIDDLE OF THAT HOUR,
God brought forth a woman.
And the and the woman came with a
painful issue. Put your hand on your
belly. Her womb was barren.
And in 1 Samuel 1, IT SAYS, "GOD closed
the womb."
I don't know if I believe in that. Well,
deal with Samuel then.
God closed the womb.
And on top of it, the other wife was
talking trash all the time. Look at me.
Look at you. Blessed, cursed, blessed,
cursed. And for a season, Hannah goes,
"I don't want to focus on that. I'm
loved by my husband. I've got a good
life. Life's good. There's just one
painful elephant in the room. I'm
barren.
But I don't want to look at barrenness.
I'll just come up with bigger Instagram
reels.
See, we have mistaken
popularity on the social media algorithm
as true power and true glory and true
impact.
>> We don't know impact anymore.
We know influence. We don't know impact.
>> This woman went through it for years.
And then all of a sudden, the damn began
to break on the inside of her.
Put 1st Samuel 1:10 up here. And I want
you to open up your hands. I believe God
wants to birth this on the inside of
you. I think 1st Samuel 1:10 may be one
of the most important verses in the
Bible.
And she was in bitterness of soul. She
was in bitterness of soul and she prayed
to the Lord and she wept in anguish.
Have you ever experienced bitterness in
your soul?
Have you ever prayed with weeping and
has anguish ever touched your heart?
When one thing becomes the predominant
primordial cry of your life?
When one thing begins, one cry, all of
your energies is given and a cry COMES
FROM THE DEPTHS OF your soul
and you've run out of words and all YOU
HAVE ARE TEARS and groans
for that.
Has God ever blessed you with that?
Cuz religion won't. Religion will let
you live in your little cathedrals of I
got it, I got it, I got it. But there
ARE SEASONS WHEN GOD wants to blow open
wombs.
WHEN GOD WANTS TO OPEN WOUNDS AND BEGIN
TO BIRTH SOMETHING APOSTOLIC,
that's this season, Vlad. It's Galatians
4:19. My little children
for whom I labor in travail
until Christ is formed in you.
See, men can travail.
Men can travail. Here's the problem.
Nobody's getting pregnant with anything.
You can't give birth to wind.
That's when I start questioning
everybody's intimacy. I don't see nobody
getting pregnant.
>> There's something about biology.
>> Intimacy produces pregnancy. Come on.
>> Come on.
>> And God is shifting the prayer movement
cuz there's a big difference between the
newlywed intimacy room
and I set my four bursts
and it's not nice little violins and
little sheep in the grass.
WE DON'T HAVE AN APPETITE FOR THAT kind
of praying. BUT THAT PRAYING IS COMING
BACK TO THE CHURCH.
That kind of praying BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT
BIRTHS APOSTOLIC MOVEMENTS.
THAT'S WHAT BIRTHS THE GROWTH OF CHRIST.
>> Put this up here. Y'all ain't ready for
these next couple of verses. You ain't
ready. Verse 11. Keep going. Keep going.
Verse 11. She was in bitterness. Verse
11.
Verse. Yeah. And she made a vow. This is
what this kind of praying does.
LOOK. EVERYBODY SAY LOOK.
>> And then the second phrase I want you to
see say is I will give him to the Lord.
>> I will give him to the Lord. So look
and I'll give him back to you.
The kind of praying that is coming is
not for your ministry influence to grow.
It's not hiding,
but it's opening up the most vulnerable
areas and vulnerable painful areas of
your soul to God.
And what God's going to release in this
last season will be given back to God.
IT'S NOT GOING TO BE used so that you
can look cool online.
It's not so that you can walk around
talking ABOUT HOW BIG AND great and
awesome you are, but it'll be given back
to the Lord. Hear me.
Look at verse 12.
And it happened as she continued praying
before. Keep this up here. Eli watched
her mouth. SO ELI IS ENGAGED WATCHING
THIS. He's not dealing with his sons,
but he's watching this woman. And let's
hear what one of the greatest prayers
and see what one of the greatest prayers
in history look like.
Hannah spoke in her heart. Her lips
moved, but her voice was not heard. Eli
thought she was drunk.
Can I tell you? Because you know what's
going to happen. Samuel, David, Jesus.
BUT IT ALL STARTED WITH a woman.
>> Hear me. CAN I SHOW YOU WHAT ONE OF THE
GREATEST PRAYERS IN history looked like
and sounded like?
It was so loud it wasn't even audible.
So loud it wasn't even audible.
So deep.
In Genesis 6, the ground broke
underneath before it opened up above.
God's got to break open something here
to open here.
Will you speak in tongues when you're
baptized in the Holy Ghost? Yes, you
will. But you'll do an awful lot more
than that.
>> Come on.
>> You will speak with the soul of Jesus
Christ.
You will fill with the heart of the son
of God.
Your heart will beat with a heavenly
desire to bless the world.
Because it's the pulse of Jesus that is
throbbing in your soul.
And you will not walk around looking
down on others because they don't have
it.
John G. LEG MOVED IN HEALING FOR 10
YEARS AND STILL KNEW HE WASN'T BAPTIZED
IN the Holy Ghost yet.
HE OPERATED IN HEALING AND EVERYBODY
AROUND HIM SAYING, "JOHN, YOU GOT A
BEAUTIFUL BAPTISM." THIS IS WHAT HE
SAID. I KNEW THAT MY SOUL WAS ON THE
BORDERLAND OF A GREAT EXPANSE
AND I WAS NOT SATISFIED UNTIL I'D FULLY
crossed over.
Him and a friend go to pray. Him and a
friend go to pray for a woman with
rheumatoid arthritis.
The guy's over here interviewing the
woman. John's over here sitting down. HE
HAD BEEN CRYING OUT FOR A YEAR. GOD, I
WANT THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY GHOST. SEE,
WE'VE WATERED THIS THING DOWN TO A
COUPLE OF DRIBBLINGS.
GUYS, there is a realm of power.
There is a realm of intimacy.
There is a realm of holiness.
There is a realm OF CONVICTION.
THERE IS A REALM THAT WE HAVEN'T EVEN
GOTTEN CLOSE TO.
AND RELIGION TELLS YOU YOU ALREADY GOT
IT.
I'm grateful for what I have. I've been
praying in tongues for 30 years and I've
written books on it.
And God's GOING TO FILL SOME OF YOU
TODAY.
THAT'S BEAUTIFUL. BUT FRIENDS, the even
greater BURDEN THAT I HAVE TODAY IS THE
OTHER 80 TO 90% WHO got it.
There is so much more.
There is so much more in God.
There is so much more in God. Charles
Finny calls it liquid love.
John G. Lake sitting over here in this
corner and the Lord says, "I've seen
your tears. I've heard your cries.
You're now to be baptized in the Holy
Ghost."
A warm tropical rain started coming
through him.
It turned into volts of electricity.
God wants to There is a realm of
electricity.
There is a realm of electricity.
The power volts of God touching your
life.
There is a place to where all you care
about are lost souls
where you weep over men
and you weep over women.
I'm a candidate with you. I haven't
gotten there, but I refuse
to buy into THE LIE THAT I GOT IT.
I want more in God. I want more in God.
HE'S AN ENDLESS OCEAN.
HE'S AN EVERLASTING supply
according TO THE RICHES OF HIS GLORY
that you would be strengthened WITH
MIGHT AND THAT CHRIST WOULD DWELL in
your heart.
If you want to say that's what you want
this morning.
And some of you like, man, I've never
prayed in tongues. cuz I want to pray in
tongues. If that's you across this room,
raise your hand. Wave at me.
Come on, wave at me. Y'all come up here.
I saw your hand, too.
No, no, no. That's religion. You ain't
clapping for them.
We're about to clap for you when you
come up.
We're about to clap FOR YOU WHEN YOU
COME UP. Is that okay? Can we clap for
you?
Can we clap FOR YOU WHEN YOU'RE LIKE
SAYING, "WHAT USED TO BE A RIVER IS NOW
A DAM.
WHAT USED TO BE AN OCEAN ON THE INSIDE
OF ME.
It's now a little trickle. I'm addicted
to Netflix. I'm addicted to food. I'm
addicted to everything BECAUSE MY SOUL
IS LONGING FOR GOD.
BUT RELIGION SAYS, "I GOT IT ALL."
Push in here. Come in. Push in. Yeah.
Just let him in.
>> Yeah. Yes. Son of David, have mercy.
Son of David, have mercy.
Now, who in here saying what used to be
a river, it's now a trickle and you need
a fresh baptism of the Holy Spirit. If
that's you, raise your hand. Can we clap
for you?
Can we clap for you?
CAN WE CLAP FOR YOU?
Let's all open our hands. I'm going to
pray for us.
Ah,
hallelujah.
He's going to open up some of your wombs
today.
He's going to open some wombs today.
He's going to open up the depths of your
heart today.
Come on. Come on. BEGIN TO PRAY. Put
Psalm 130 verse one. Everybody begin to
pray in the spirit.
Louder.
I want the room leading us.
Hannah.
Hannah,
IT'S TIME FOR A GENERATIONAL SHIFT.
It's time for a generational prayer.
