BALOGUN WALKS OUT ON EVERTON | FANS WANT ANSWERS ON DISASTROUS TRANSFER WINDOW

Welcome to Toffee TV. It is4 to 1 in the morning and um we've just had the news that Floren Balagan will not be signing for Everton. And yeah, quite frankly, I I'm I'm lost for words how bad this situation has turned out. Um, first of all, let me just say unbelievable effort by the lads tonight. Well, the last 24 hours um doing doing the um the stream and today's just been an absolute mess. Um yesterday it looked like it was going to be like a really promising day of getting players we wanted to leave the club and bringing some into the club. possibility of bringing Malison back whether he wanted him or not. Balagan obviously was the big one. Um possibility of getting a right back. We got a right back even though it wasn't the right back that we didn't really want but we thought we were getting in Tete. We obviously got Maitlin Niles. We obviously got Jack Le which we all knew and then Jai left. Abunam left. Patterson left. Um but and then there was the turbulence of the whole um bal Balagan situation of um there being a problem. It looked like the clubs had addressed that problem and apparently sometime sometime um probably around midnight or something like that the player just got up and left. Um, Everton apparently renegotiated the deal to the point where Monaco actually stopped the player from signing for Chelsea, which you know has caused loads of problems for Chelsea um after they sold uh player to obviously Man City. But this is this is a farce. This is an absolute far. I mean, this is not like this is not like fans moaning for the sake of moaning or moaning because they've missed out on a player, which we've done plenty of times on deadline day. This is this is genuinely serious. This is really really serious. Um Evan have got one fit striker um till January. Now you could say well Brennan Johnson could play there or or or or what or that's it, isn't it really? It's Brennan Johnson could play there. Um but this is this is scandalous. This is this is absolutely scandalous that that that this has been allowed to happen. Um this has been a disaster. This transfer window has been an absolute disaster. Um seriously, you know, again, this is not me complaining for the sake of complaining. This is this looks like a complete disaster. This looks like a set of people who have got no idea of what they're doing. This is a set of people who are in complete conflict with each other, the manager and everybody else. You know, this is we've got a right back. He's a 29year-old that has never pulled up any trees anyway. We give him a three-year deal and it look seems like he was the last resort because Kenny Tete who didn't pull up any trees. You know, the player he wants has ended up going to Germany for like 37 million pound. They're the players we should be buying. They're the players that Everton Football Club should be capable of buying. We've brought obviously Jackes back. Everyone knew that was going to happen and it was probably going to happen because we lost in Jai. Okay, that's happened. We let Beta go. How on earth could we let Betto sign for to go to Florentina without having his replacement signed? That is that is scandalous. I mean whether you like better or you don't like better you can't let a play it's all about dominoes on transfer deadline day and if you let your business go down to transfer deadline and listen this has happened to us and it's happened to so many clubs you set up you line up a player we didn't get set because Fulham never got a right back this is absolutely scandalous and heads must roll and I'll be honest I am not I'm done playing nice on stuff like this is an absolute absolute disaster. I don't know who it is, whether it's Angus Kenya or whether or whatever it's David Moyes um not playing nice Jord. This is a disaster. The right back situation is appalling that we've ended up with a 29year-old fell who wasn't having the best time in France. Okay, we sold in J. That was always likely to happen and we've brought Greish in. Okay, understand that. that was always bound to happen. But just a general like Norard wasn't like there's no thing that he was that that that fell in our lap. You know, Brennan Johnson that fell in our lap. Um the only ones that it seemed like the the the only sort of signing that felt like was actually had any plan to it was Hayden Hackne. That seems like the only signing we planned, you know, the to get to deadline day and or the day before deadline day and then suddenly start going, "Oh, we going to have I mean, we were 3 hours ago. We were trying to get Xerxy because we thought this deal was off again. What are we doing? This is absolutely scandalous. Everton are down to, you know, we've got two fullbacks, one right back and one left back. We've let we've let um Adam man as new go on loan. So fullbacks we've got one on either side. Um we've got yeah we got four center backs. One of them last week we were told was we were open to offers for him. Excuse me. So what's that relationship with like with the manager? Harrison Armstrong fan power kept him at the football club. Um this is this is a disaster. Like we know we've only got like one game a week apart from the Cabal Cup till till um December, but we better we you know we better really hope that we don't get any major injuries. You know Barry being our only center forward. One center forward at the football club. That is a disaster. That is an absolute disaster. And to let Betto leave, that is that is like absolutely an appalling decision considering what has happened. That as I said, it's about dominoes and I'd love to be doing this video live and and seeing your reaction. I really would. Um because I just feel like everyone out there at the moment would be absolutely going ballistic. And that's why I felt like I had to do this video. Um because I didn't I just needed to do some reaction to it cuz I know Baz and the lads have been unbelievable all day and you know I'm sure Baz will probably be up and do his show in the morning because that's that's his feeling towards these things. This is a disgrace. Like I I I've got to be quiet. It's it's 10 to 1 in the morning. I can't be like scout shouting me head off, but I probably would have. I feel sick by this. I feel sick of what we've been left behind as a squad. We had we we this is our squad till January and in some areas it's it's paper thin and one of them being the center center forward position. Um, it's Listen, I don't know what why the lad walked out. The lad might have looked around and just gone, I've got a bad feeling about this. I've got a a terrible feeling about about this situation. You know, they're saying that they found something in the medical. Well, the lad's been injured since the World Cup, so that's not really surprising. And then Evan trying to re renegotiate. Maybe he just looked around and thought, "Nah, this is not where I want to be." they you know the all the shines well I don't know whether how much shine there is on Jack Greish but Jack Greish is coming and I don't think anyone cares and by the way the announcement that they did on um on socials about that with the donut boxes um absolutely in my opinion you might have difference in my opinion tasteless and class um you know making lights out of these donuts that cost £650 which I've always said is an absolute disgrace and going oh you all bought them like like we're all mugs um like just nah just leave that and then when they signed Nathan N they didn't even have a picture of him in an Everton kit cuz they probably just got the medical done and just gone to sign it and he's probably still in Manchester so they probably haven't even got him a kit probably didn't even get a kit from him in Manchester so they probably thought it was going to be a big grandio sign of Gish no one's asked no one's asked people are just relieved because we've sold in Jai um and even that how could how could you get that wrong as well I mean why wasn't Greet the sign before and Jai went. So you could people would go well we've got this. This is this is the club can just like like you know the club have just they better be batting down the arches because because listener came on our show and I'm grateful that he did come on our show but most of the things he said are relevant now. They're absolutely relevant. um that absolutely relevant to things he said because this idea of this club football club um being you know on the on the on the up and over the last couple of days you know the fans now are the owners are they're looking at the owners and just going you don't care you don't care they're looking at people who run the club and thinking you haven't got a clue and what's actually flipped I think for a lot people is a lot of people were having were angry about David Moyes and what happened with excuse me what happened with him last season. People now are probably feeling um really people are probably feeling really sorry for him now because of what he's had to put up with. I would imagine this whole transfer committee, even though they don't call it a transfer committee, and the people in charge, it's it's not worked. It's a it's it's a disaster. It's been an absolute disaster. Today, I'm watching clubs go out and buy the players that we should have bought. I'm watching Hull Leads all having a really good window, successful window. I'm watching basically the owner of Hull going on Sky boasting about how well they've done. um Sunderland, how well they're doing, how literally within the space of a year, they've transformed their team into from a championship team that scaped up in the playoffs to a team that are playing in Europe and are buying players that we tried to buy last summer and they laughed at us. The players laughed at us. Um, everybody, I heard Baz say this before, everyone seems to make it look easy. It's the most powerful league in the world. It's where all the talent wants to go. It's where all the money is. And we just seem to just it up all the time every year. Jamie Cariger said on Monday Night Football and listen, I don't care whether you like Jamie Cara or don't like Jamie Carragher when he talks whether you think he's being bitter, he is being truthful. Everton Football Club for the entirety of the Premier League have been a absolute joke apart from a few years um under Joe Royal and or a couple years under Joe Royal and under Moyes the first time but even that the fact that we had no money and now we've got a now we've got a stadium and you know what like the thing with the stadium is I feel stupid about the stadium, about like how much hope I had about it and how much I thought it was going to change us as a football club. And I just feel I feel I feel like I feel like a tit because because yes, there's people at the football club and they're doing like, "Oh, we're getting this, we're getting that." So what? We like I said the other day are getting on the season tickets. We're getting on the drink, on the food, on the donuts. We are being every way we can. And what are we getting for it? Nothing. And they spend send the PR spin doctors out. Like you know, oh everything's okay. Everything's not okay. Everything's not okay. We are down. So I think we've got about 18 players. We are on our asses as a we've got no squad. We've got one center forward. We've got no fullbacks. It's an actual disaster. And I actually thought I know what the thing about it was this year. I was thinking the three teams who come up, but you know what? Hull have had a really good start and are buying plays and are trying to be competitive, you know, so straight away there's when you see that and you think I'm not saying they're going to be some run, but you're like that's what they're being brave and they're buying good players. I'm not saying they're going to stay up, but they're going to be going to try and make it competitive as possible. I just don't get it. I I just I just don't get it because we're being told by the CEO that everything's rosy in the garden. We're never going to have to struggle again and blah blah blah. And yet, why didn't we just sell in Jai? Why didn't we sell them a month ago? Why didn't we just encourage clubs to come in and buy them? Say this is the price. Do you want them or not? You know, cuz two month a month ago or so, you know, I said, let's just sell them and let's just spend the money now. And then you know most I think most people actually agree with that but you got some who were like no we got to keep him like we were never keeping him. We were never keeping him. He wanted to leave. So why didn't we let him go on our terms a month ago so we could bring in the players. We could bring in the players and start rebuilding our team instead of waiting till the last day. What? Because we knew we were going to get Jack on the last day and we're paying an absolute fortune for him. This is a disaster. It's one of the worst transfer windows I can ever remember. It's one of the worst transfer days. You can sit there. Don't get me wrong. I've sat there when we needed players and we haven't bought anyone. But this is a disaster. We've Okay, they players have gone out, but they have to be replaced. The players have to be replaced and they have to be replaced with quality. We got Oh, we're going for Europe. How are we going to go for Europe when we've got play? We've got no players and we've got no depth and our you know, we've got four center backs. Look at them. You know, we've got one left back. We've got one right back. What are we? We've got no guard. He who knows when he'll be back. This is a disaster. And I'd love to say head well really head should roll but I don't I don't the owners did he care? Did he do did the owners care? Did he really really care? Or are they just have they bought a stadium that has got a football team attached to it and they just go keep that team ticking over. Doesn't really matter. Make sure they're still in the Premier League but the stadium we'll get all the big concerts. That's where we'll make our money. And you know what? Maybe in two or three years when the stadium after the Euros and it's getting concerts all the time maybe that's when we can go do you know what we'll sell these now and we'll get X amount for them because Liverpool has just been is about to be sold for6 billion pound well this club's got a stadium so we we might get we might double our money we might double our money because of the stadium because we'll prove that the Euros will prove it and all the concerts will prove it and we'll double our money and we'll get out and we haven't actually had to put any money in. All we've had to put in is nothing really because we've mortgaged everything for 30 years and we've sold a load of the players. So actually that's paid for it. So there's no point going oh these need chasing and that need chasing and you know I said the other day everything needs to be reviewed. Review by you. Review by you. Who is there to review it? The people who own it are to sell Harrison Armstrong and the people who are on the board or who or whatever the committee have led us to this transfer window. It's an absolute disaster. I I I want to just like scream me head off. And what makes it worse is I was watching the live before and the lads are all like delirious. They've been up for like two days. Unbelievable. But they're going home knowing it was a show. But it's still in the thought that the Balagan deal is going to go through. He's he the deal she's gone in. So that's it now. And the lad gets up and walks out. I mean, I don't know where he's going, but you know, he's got up and walked out cuz he's and I don't know why I but he's obviously just gone, this isn't right. And you know what? He he might be 100% right, but we're in the And Tino Barry now has so much pressure on him. He is playing every single game. And unless there's players that are available on a free or unless Richardson terminates his contract at Spurs or I honestly don't know. Benn Johnson's our new second forward. Let's get it right. He's our new second forward. So I don't know what that means for who plays on the right hand side. Tyler Dibland suddenly might have to step in there. He might be or you know I don't know. But this is a disaster. It's an absolute disaster. And that is not me just being hyperbolic and oh he's just a YouTuber looking for I'm not sitting here looking for clicks. I'm generally sitting here wondering how we got to this point. Wondering how we set out in the summer to buy a right back. And we got a right back. Yes. A 29year-old at 12:00 who's And yet we've Yeah, I don't have to repeat it. You just know. Um Yeah. this I'm just I'm just such I just don't I just don't know. I just don't know what to say. I'm just I'm just absolutely flumxed by the whole thing and Saturday sorry is going to be very interesting at Manchester Man United. It's going to be very very interesting. The reaction in the stadium David Moyes on Friday I imagine when he does press conference. It's going to be very very interesting. I imagine it'll be put on spun on Balagan because because obviously he's the one who walked out. But why did he walk out? What what did what what what was the feeling he got about the football club? And what is this going to say to other people? The next guy we try and sign, next time guy we try and convince to come to our football club. And when we are at that point where Where will we be? Because we're going to have to buy in January. It's as simple as that. That market that no one ever wants to buy, we're going to have to buy in January. And this is it's a disa it's a disaster. It's a disaster. And they just they just kill me off bit by bit. Honestly, they just I'm just falling so much out of love with the game. It's Yeah. honestly because it's just it's they just they just make it so hard for you to they make it so hard for you to to enjoy it cuz isn't that what it's supposed to be about? Isn't it supposed to be about enjoying it? And they just make it incredibly difficult. It's not fun anymore and we're paying extortionate amounts of money cuz it is extortionate by the way. It is extortionate. It's an extortionate amount of money to go and watch something which for me I just think is becoming less and less fun and it's becoming less and less fun because number one the teams at the top it's it's just it's a closed shop. It's a closed shop. You know Aston Villa I've had to I think I say before Aston Villa have sold six players to teams in the top six. It's a close shop and if it's a closed shop for them then what is it for us and I'm just and then when you see your club have very little ambition to try and do anything about that. I just don't I just I find it really hard and I and I work in I work in football and I work on a on a channel talking about a club every single day and I just think maybe if I didn't do that I wouldn't I would just walk away from it because at times I just don't see the point. I just don't see the point. You just don't get anything back from it. And I know you're not supposed I know it's not supposed to give back, but it's supposed it's supposed to just be fun.
