Video summary
In this video, the host shares a detailed breakdown of various vintage items she purchased from estate sales, garage sales, and Facebook offers that she successfully flipped for profit on platforms like eBay, Poshmark, Mercari, and Whatnot. She begins by discussing her wedding dresses, which were acquired years ago when a small shop closed down and offered them to her for free; despite the tedious process of photographing and disclosing defects, she managed to sell several units, including one that sold for $45 with shipping paid by the buyer. She also highlights her strategy with embroidery floss, utilizing multi-quantity listings where she sold five blue spools for a total of roughly $50, noting that vintage colors often command higher prices and encouraging viewers to research specific items before buying.
The host continues by showcasing a diverse range of finds, including Fisher-Price dollhouse accessories that were purchased as a bundle for $28.27 by an art enthusiast, a realistic Yorkie dog figurine bought for three dollars at a garage sale and resold for thirty, and a Germany Hermann horse signed on the bottom which sold quickly after she removed its broken rocking mechanism to sell it as standalone vintage decor. She emphasizes the importance of spotting potential fixes, such as removing damaged parts from items like the rocking horse, rather than listing them as-is. Other quick sellers included a Gerber baby product identified via Google Lens, a Patterson Universal Tank System for film photography bought at an estate sale for about a dollar and auctioned for $22.50, and various small toys like a lovey security blanket that turned a one-dollar purchase into a seventeen-fifty sale.
A significant portion of the video focuses on verifying materials to increase item value, particularly with Bakelite plastics and sterling silver jewelry. The host explains her process of using a Simichrome test and weighing items to confirm they are authentic Bakelite, a detail she believes builds buyer confidence, which helped her sell a piece for $100. She also notes that while some Avon products are plastic, others like the Sarah Coventry ring she sold were made of sterling silver, allowing her to turn a fifteen-dollar purchase into a fifty-eight-fifty sale. Additionally, she discusses her experience with knives and silverware, admitting that after failing to identify valuable pieces individually, she bundled them into mixed-pattern sets that sold well for $24.99.
Finally, the host wraps up by sharing tips on cross-posting inventory between eBay and Whatnot using tools like List Perfectly to maximize sales opportunities during live shows and buy-it-now periods. She promotes her referral links for both Whatnot and List Perfectly, offering viewers discounts and free shipping credits to help them grow their own reselling businesses. Throughout the video, she maintains an encouraging tone, reminding viewers that even damaged or seemingly ordinary items can be profitable if researched correctly, and she invites her audience to explore her channels on Whatnot where she frequently sells bulk lots of Avon earrings and other nostalgic collectibles like Build-A-Bear pins and Tahari Koala Bear loveys.

Hey, Bolo Buddies. Thanks for watching.
All right, you guys, in this video,
we're going to talk about my what sold
items that I bought and flipped for a
profit on eBay. I'm going to tell you
where I got it, what I paid for it, and
what it sold for. I also sell on
Poshmark, Mercari, and Whatnot. If you
guys remember the wedding dress story, I
got these wedding dresses a long time
ago. Somebody reached out to me on
Facebook, said their little shop was
shutting down, said if I came and got
them all that I could have them free.
Well, I sent my husband to get them, and
I am still selling them years later. I'm
ready for them to be gone. Um I don't
have a whole lot left. I've made a lot
of money on these, but
what I will say is they were a pain to
list. I had to take tons of photos. I
had to look for defects. I had to point
them out. I had to disclose all that in
the descriptions. They were tough. And I
thought about just taking them all and
donating them, what I have left, but I'm
like, you know, I've already done the
work. I'm just going to let them sit,
and when people like them, I'm going to
make offers. So, I made an offer on this
one, and I sold it for $45, and the
buyer paid shipping. So, happy to have
another wedding dress gone. I I don't
know. Maybe I have less than 10 left.
So, I'm super excited about that. This
is a listed and forget it multi-quantity
listing. Now, the blue, I only had five
of these, but
I sold this for $9.94. So, if you
multiply that by five, that's about $50
embroidery floss. One listing,
multi-quantity. I've done this with a
bunch of different colors. Some of them
I had 20 or 30 quantity, and they just
keep selling.
Uh I think it's the vintage ones. Maybe
certain colors sell for more than
others, but definitely do your research
on embroidery floss.
This one is a welcome mat.
Uh it's a Play School Dollhouse welcome
mat. This one is the Fisher-Price
Ottoman
and another Fisher-Price Loving Family
Ottoman. The one person bought all three
items for $28.27
and she left me feedback. She uses them
for art. Some sort of art she does. I
can't remember what she said, but yeah,
she was really happy to get these items
for that. So that's pretty cool.
This one is a little Yorkie dog. It's by
I don't know if you if it's FAO or FAO
Schwarz, but I always pick up anything
that looks like a realistic animal
because people look for things that look
like their animals. And I got this at a
garage sale for three and I flipped it
for 30.
This one here I bought strictly to put
on my other reseller channel where I
test products. And what's nice about
that channel is you're basically testing
products and then when somebody wants to
know how something works, they look for
the video and then it shows them how it
works. They're really basic, simple
videos and I was like, I could do that
with this. To my surprise, this thing
flew out of my store.
I got it at a garage sale for a dollar
and I sold it for $19.50.
This is a Germany Hermann horse and it's
signed right there on the butt and this
also sold very quickly. I got it at a
garage sale for $3 and I sold it for
best offer of 26. Now,
this was actually a rocking horse, okay?
But when I went and searched, I saw
other horses that were free standing and
the rocking part was broke. And I was
able to just take it off of there and if
you look at the bottom of the feet, like
it looks normal. It didn't cause any
damage and I'm like, I'm not going to
leave a broken rocking horse on it. So I
took it off and I sold it as a just
vintage decor without the rocking part.
So, yeah, $26 on that. But I remember I
bought it at a garage sale and I
remember seeing it seeing it at the
garage sale the year before and I didn't
buy it because it was damaged. And um
I was just going to list it damaged to
see if I could sell it and then I
thought, "Why would I do that? If it
comes off of the rocker." So, yeah,
definitely keep your eyes open for
things that you can sell damaged or
potentially fix.
This is a lovey and this one sold pretty
quick. I got it at a garage sale for a
quarter and it sold for a best offer of
$10. This one is a Gerber
um organic baby. And again, I had to uh
research this with Google Lens to figure
out who made it.
The next item are these knives. All
right, so I had big plans for these
knives. I was going to look them up, see
which ones were worth money, which ones
weren't.
Maybe clean some of them and I mean,
look how pretty that is.
But I didn't.
>> [laughter]
>> I think I listed one of them separate.
The one I listed separate I did sell for
$19.99. So,
I don't know. I just
I I it just kept sitting and I'm like,
"I don't want to do it. I don't want to
do it." So, I ended up bundling up a
bunch of silverware and it all sold. Uh
so, hopefully some people got some good
deals and they'll be able to make some
money on it. But these are mixed
patterns of butter knife spreaders. Most
of them are silver plate. I sold these
for $24.99.
The next item, again, flew out of my
store. It is a Patterson Universal Tank
System. I got this at an estate sale.
The person was really into film and
cameras and I bought a big tote of stuff
and I'm like, "I don't know. I'll look
it up when I get home. I got it cheap
enough." Probably have a dollar into
this and I put it up for auction and it
sold for $22.50.
Now, here was is thing in there.
What? It's opened, partially used quick
splice. I still don't know what it is,
but I went ahead and just used the info
that was on the up here, put it in my
title, and put it up for auction, and it
sold
for $9.99 on auction. Super fast sale.
Probably had a buck in it.
Bakelite for the win. All right, guys.
If you don't know, I think this is Yeah.
So, they call this end of the day
bakelite. It's where I think at the end
of the day they take all their plastics
and they melt it down, and that's why
this one has like the swirling and the
differentiation in the color.
But, I did do a Simichrome test,
and I did weigh it. I've seen people
weighing their bakelite. I don't know
why. Maybe just to tell how heavy it is.
If anybody knows why people weigh it,
but I went ahead and weighed it.
But, the Simichrome test, if you do the
Simichrome and it shows this color, that
verifies that it is indeed bakelite.
People like to see this. I think it's
important to put in your listing because
it gives people confidence to buy your
item.
And I don't remember where I got this
one, but I sold it for a best offer of
$100.
The next item is this Avon glowworm
incomplete puppet in the box. Alls I had
was the puppet in the box. I think it
comes with something I don't know if
it's like a chapstick or a perfume or
something, but I didn't have that. So, I
just had the puppet. But, these are very
nostalgic. People like these, and I got
this at a garage sale for two and took a
best offer of 28.
I got the ghost at the same time, and
the ghost is a bolo. So, look that one
up so you know what to look for.
Sarah Coventry ring. I did pay up for
this one because it was sterling silver.
I paid $15 for it, and I sold this one
for $58.50.
So, if you didn't know, Sarah Coventry
does have some items that are sterling,
and Avon does as well. So, be on the
lookout.
The next item are these Avon apple
earrings. I bought a big bulk buy and
these were in it and sell these all the
time all the time on Whatnot. Probably
two, three, four, maybe five dollars if
I'm lucky and I sold these for $13 on
eBay.
If you're not following me on Whatnot,
come on over guys. It's lots of fun. I'm
bolo buddies over there and I do have a
referral link down below where you can
get $15 to shop if you use that. Also,

items over to the Whatnot buy it now.

Bundling is great over there. So, I use

taking all my items from eBay and
putting them in my Whatnot buy it now
with List Perfectly. I do have a

you guys want to check that out. So, if
you are Whatnot sellers, but you sell on
other platforms, fill up that buy it now
guys. People will buy when you're not
doing a live show, but they will also
buy during your shows. So, uh
keep that in mind and all those referral

use for my business. Check it out.
They're in the description of the video.
This one here is probably knocking your
socks off, right? It's a Build-A-Bear
Workshop pin.
Who would have thought that I could have
got $22.75
for this? And this is the second time
I've sold one of these.
Um I sold one the first time and I was
kind of surprised at how quickly it sold
and then I found more. So, I've sold two
and I have some other ones listed.
$22.75 for that. Let me know if you guys
have ever sold those. Here's another
lovey. This is a Tahari Koala Bear
security blanket. Got it at a garage
sale for $1 and I sold it for a best
offer of $17.50.
Again, easy to list, easy to ship, easy
to find. I love selling loveys. The next
item, 925 sand dollar earrings. Uh
these are signed and I did do the acid
test right here. I test both um the
earring back and the actual sand dollar
part and I took a best offer of $25
on these.
All right, you guys. Thank you so much
for being here. Thank you for watching.
