BAD NEWS ON BALTIMORE RAVENS!

Man, I started off this practice hype because we kept on getting so much good news on several different Baltimore Ravens being back. Travis Jones, he passed his physical. We know he been MIA for the longest, but he was back practicing. Anias Peeles, he was practicing as well. So, I was like, "Okay, let's go." Keon Martin, who been silently balling this off season, he was back, too. But the one that we all been waiting for, the one that we've been anticipating, Jesse Mentor did say he was going to be dayto day and it was literally like what two three days and Z Flowers was back in the building. So I'm thinking, oh yeah, we starting off today, right? Ravens had off yesterday, but they came back with a bang. But then later on it felt like we all had got shot because I started seeing reports on Nate Wiggins from nobody that was official. I started seeing reports on Nate Wiggins from fans. Fans were saying, "Oh, that didn't look good." Fans were saying, "Oh my goodness, Nate Wiggins is hurt." Fans were saying, "Oh man, Nate Wiggins got caught off." And I was thinking, "Ah, come on now, man. Come on now." Now, like not not Nate Wiggins. like obviously we don't want it to be no anybody getting carded off whatsoever. I said not Nate Wiggins. But then we finally got something official uh from the Ravens from Jame Jame Jameson Hinsley. He said uh Ravens quarterback Nate Wiggins was ced off the field an hour into Tuesday's practice after suffering what looked like, excuse me, what looked to be a left leg or knee injury. The 2024 firstround pick couldn't put any weight on his left leg when heading into the team facility. He had his arm draped over trainers to go inside. Wiggins, Baltimore's top corner, was injured during one-on-one drills with wide receiver Jacobe Lane. He got his feet tangled with Lane while covering a goal route and fell hard to the ground. Trainers looked at the left leg and knee of Wiggins who is in visible pain. He is the first player to be carted off in this year's training camp and hopefully it will be the last. Said Wiggins is one of the players that the Ravens can least afford to lose. The other experienced quarterbacks on the roster are Marlon Humphrey, Shidobia Auier, and TJ Tampa. If Wiggins has to miss anytime, Auzier would likely replace Wiggins and start opposite Humphrey. I said, man, Nate Wiggins, man, we had and still have high hopes for Nate Wiggins. We obviously don't know the full extent of the injury yet, but I'm like, man, this dude, he was just talking about how he been playing at 60 70% uh throughout his really his whole career, and he just had the surgery this offseason. He feeling 100%. He all the way back and now this. And to get a I can't even say a clear update on what it is. Let's hear what Jesse Mentor had to say about it. >> Um go down during the oneonone portion. Don't have a ton of information on that yet. We'll kind of get it get it looked at, see where it's at. >> And see Jesse Mentor, he doesn't have any clear answer on Nate Wiggins injury as of yet. But see, it's much different than Z Flowers injury because when Zay Flowers got injured, that same practice, they're like, "Hey, it's a quad contusion. He's dayto-day." Boom. They had the information out right away. But with Nate Wiggins, he said, "We we still got to get it looked at. We don't know yet. We getting more details on it." So, I can't lie. I'm him being carted off. I'm not very hopeful on it, but I I hope that my feelings are all completely wrong and then we can come back here. Whether it be today, whether it be tomorrow, soon and be like, "Oh, Jesse going to clean it up. Nate Wiggins going to be back." Oh, and we straight because I remember last season this happened with another prominent player on the Baltimore Ravens. That was Isaiah Likely because he got carded off and what I was hoping that they were just being extra precautious that they were just being extra careful with Isaiah Likely. And then yeah, he basically had a broken foot and then he missed like a month's time of football and then he came back and Okay. Yeah, let's go. So hopefully with Nate Wiggins, it ends up being something where it's not major. I know that the part where they said they said he couldn't put any weight on his leg. I said, "Oh." So, we just got to wait and see on any updates that we get when it comes to Nate Wiggins. We hoping for the best, embracing just for anything, but we certainly hoping for the best for Nate Wiggins because he is such a big part of these Ravens, of this Ravens defense. Um, we just anticipated seeing him use the right way. It was going to be such a beautiful thing and it is, you know what, it is going to be a beautiful thing to still see him use the right way when he plays this year. We're just going to say it. Nate Wiggins is still going to play this year. He's still going to be suited up in the Ravens uniform. We will see that number two jersey out there on the field for Baltimore this upcoming season. So, Jesse Mener, give us some positive news on it ASAP, please. I in my last question, I stated that he could catch pneumonia in the middle of the summer in the Sahara Desert because he's just that cold. And I was waiting for everyone to catch up and see him ball out. And man, does it feel great to be proven right so far. I know that he still has to do it in the game, but I was convinced a long time ago that he that this was going to translate. And I know people have doubts because of that ye that year that Proce and Duven were going off in training camp, but this ain't that. And yeah, there they've been there've been some uh offseason superstars at wide receiver for the Ravens throughout the years. So, I can understand why a lot of fans are a little bit hesitant. They like they don't want to crown Jacobe Lane just yet. I get that cuz we done been burned before. But hopefully this one is different, especially with this coaching staff. He said, "This just feels different, man. He is the big body 50-50 guy that we have been begging for the Ravens to give Lamar for years, and I feel like he will be Lamar's new quicker version of Isaiah likely." Just think about it. Some Lamar's biggest plays of his career all had Isaiah likely on the other end. Steelers fourth down catch with the season on the line. Yeah. Like Isaiah Likely, he's clutch, man. That man is a clutch. Like Lamar with everything on the line when he Isaiah likely will be right there. And you even think like I know the the 2024 that season the 41 touchdowns the four interceptions that gets remembered but so much of what people remember from that season is the way that it ended obviously because that's how the season ended. It sucked because Mark Andrews dropped a two-point conversion. Then on the the the little drive right before that Mark Andrews fumbled the ball. So it was a double whammy. He was like messing up is so nice. I don't want to do it twice. But anyway, um, in order to even for the Ravens to even get back in the game, in order for them to even get in position to tie the game up, Lamar Jackson threw a touchdown to who in clutch time when they when they needed it. It was Isaiah likely. Oh, he brought up uh he said the Steelers fourth down catch with the season on the line. Yeah, that was last year. Isaiah likely. He said uh Chiefs togate. That was Isaiah likely. Amazing c the game on the line. M throws it back and it looked like a touchdown, but yeah, the the tote Isaiah likely he said Lamar Stiff arm hover touchdown on the Bengals. Oh, that play was crazy. That's that's one of my favorite. That was from 2024. That was I think that was the best play of that year for the Ravens. But yeah, that was amazing. That was Isaiah likely said Lamar's spinning escape. Then likely double cover catcher on the jack. Oh yeah. Oh, that one was crazy. cuz I just knew when Lamar threw that up. I said it's about to be a pick. Isaiah likely say, "Nope, I got it. I got it." It's crazy, man. He said now he finally has a receiver who really can go and get it like that. I'm just so excited, man. I think that uh with big play Z, a confident revitalized Baitman touchdown tears and Mr. Jack of all fade routes. Oh, I like that. Jack of all f I like that. Hey, that that's nice. He said, "Oh, I'm sorry. I had I had to. It might stick." No, that that was a good one. I I like that one. He said, "I think this will go down as one of the best offenses in NFL history." Ooh, he said NFL history. He talking like my guy Emanuel cuz Emanuel been saying the same thing. Okay, not Acho, Emanuel S from Team Keep It Clean. Like nothing good. Like even today, there were reports that um Lamar tried to get get the ball to Mark Andrews twice. Said the first one was broken up by Kyle Hamilton, second one by Maron Humphrey. Now, that could just be kudos to them for playing some amazing defense. But even outside of that, we have not been hearing like anything about Mark Andrews whatsoever. If y'all heard something, then I I missed it cuz we ain't been hearing nothing about Mark Andrews. Like, there was one practice where they said he made like a diving catch, but it got ruled out of bounds. But that was like a week and a half, maybe two weeks ago. It was a little while back, but we ain't been hearing like nothing about him. It's been very, very quiet. So, I don't know, man. Anyway, he said, um, he said, "Much love to all the team. He said, "I had a question about this tight end room, especially with the news coming out every day about uh how Andrews hasn't had a strong camp and has been dropping most everything thrown his way. It seems out of the tight ends on the roster, who do you think can be the next man up?" Uh because I think at this point, Andrews is just a liability on the team. I believe his extension was more of a hard ball signing than something that will help the team in the long run. Well, it was definitely I can't even necessarily say it was just a hard ball signing because the Ravens, they tried to sign Isaiah likely. They tried to they tried to sign Isaiah likely, but I think with Isaiah likely, he wanted to go see what was out there. He wanted to get an opportunity in free agency and he got that and he ended up going with Harball. So, that was that. But again, they did prioritize Isaiah likely first before Mark Andrews, but it obviously didn't work out. So again, the same thing I've been saying, I what I think it is, I think that they just didn't want to be caught without no veteran tight end at all. I think they wanted to make sure they had somebody on a team rather than having to start all the way over at tight end completely and like re having to redo the whole room. Um, but with Mark Andrews, yeah, like we were just talking about, we just we have not been hearing much good about him at all. Um, what I'm hoping is that he just he is not the best practicer and he just shows up on game day cuz like we seen Mark Andrew, we've seen what he can do. We've seen what he's done. But that's what we hoping that he just will show up on game day and like it'll be like, "Oh, okay. We remember all that stuff that we ain't hear much about Mark Andrews in training camp and whatnot. He had a quiet training camp and Okay. Well, oh, there you go. He's back though. He's good though. That's what we hoping. Keep it a secret. What's he talking about? Next question came from my guy Melo. He said, "What's up, Gra? Keep it clean. It's been a year since I wrote." That's a long time, my friend. But I I appreciate you checking in a year later. You were right. Every day there's a new highlight, but that only puts teams on notice even before we play them. I much rather them not know much about the rookie, then bam, there he is down the field running past DBs into the end zone. As much of a fan I am, I'd rather hear a little a little about progress and see it happen on the field when it truly counts. Now, our expectations are high and he needs to live up to the hype because people will judge you quickly if you don't. Just my two cents, but Ravens, don't let the don't let air out what could possibly be a sleeper gym. What are your thoughts? Much love and respect from the Far East. My boy Melo over in Japan. Appreciate you, man. Um, I get what you're saying, but at the same time, it's like he he will be judged regardless. And people will be quick to judge regardless whether they hear stuff or not. Because get this, if Ravens reporters, beat writers and all that, they didn't say anything on Jacobe Lane at all. They just kept it quiet on him. And then he went out there and did amazing, people be, "Oh man, he's doing his thing. He's doing good. Oh man, this such a surprise. Wow, this is great." On the flip side, if they went out there, if they were quiet on Jacobe Lane and he went out there and he wasn't looking so good, people would be like, "Oh man, this guy sucks. This is our third round pick. Oh, what a waste. We need to get rid of him. Move on. We need to get somebody." Cuz you know how fans are. Fans like a lot of fans don't have patience. They want the right here, the right now. So, and I mean, yeah, we do. Now, we ain't going to write somebody off after one or two games. And are we going to crown somebody after one or two games? Hey, you know what? That hype is there, so we just might. But I I I see what you're saying. But either way, whether he's a secret or not, he got to show it on the field. Whether he's a secret or not, he got to go against NFL DBs. Whether it's a secret or not, he still and the Ravens still have to make it happen. So whether he came out of nowhere or whether the team seen him coming is still somebody that you have to account for. It's like with Lamar Jackson. Lamar Jackson is going into year nine. He ain't no secret, but we still seen how he you still got to go out there and stop him. And not many people have had success doing that. So with Jacobe Lane, I'm not calling him Lamar Jackson. Obviously, he he does got to prove it on the field in regular season games and then hopefully playoffs and so forth and all that. But with Jacobe L, he's an NFL player. Teams, they know that he's on the team. They know that he's going to get some opportunities and he got to prove it. But teams still got to stop it, too. So, secret or not, they still got to pay attention to him. And I'm sure that they will. But hey, let's hope that the Ravens can counter each and everything that these other teams do to try and stop Jacobe. to try and stop JL6. >> The flock flies to the wise. It's a wonderful thing.
