Video summary

Melissa Armo from The Stock Whisperer hosts this back-to-school special as an invitation for traders of all ages and experience levels to return to the markets with renewed focus on learning rather than blind execution. She emphasizes that human nature drives us to understand *why* a trade works before risking capital, noting that many people mistakenly believe they are too old or experienced enough to skip education. Armo argues against this mindset, asserting that even seasoned veterans have gaps in their knowledge and can always learn new strategies from her unique approach. The core philosophy presented is that successful trading requires understanding market mechanics, specifically how institutional money moves within price gaps, which allows traders to make informed decisions rather than gambling blindly. The video details Armo's specific methodology for identifying high-probability trades during the volatile fall season, often triggered by events like geopolitical tensions affecting oil prices or earnings reports causing stock splits and gap openings. She illustrates her strategy with a recent example involving Apple stock, where she identified a significant downward bias early in the trading session between 9:30 AM and 10:00 AM Eastern Time. By shorting the stock at $306.80 after it gapped down on Monday morning, she executed an exit just minutes later near the day's low, securing a profit of over eleven thousand dollars while risking only five hundred fifty dollars. This example serves to demonstrate her ability to enter and exit positions quickly with precise risk management, turning small risks into substantial returns by following confirmed directional biases in both bullish and bearish environments. Armo also addresses common concerns regarding trading mechanics, particularly the role of margin accounts which she describes as a powerful tool that does not require millions in capital but rather allows traders to access significant buying power with less upfront cash than previously required at retail brokers. She clarifies how stop-loss orders function within these accounts, ensuring that potential losses are limited strictly to the difference between entry and exit prices rather than wiping out an entire account balance if a trade goes against expectations. Furthermore, she offers flexibility for those who prefer options trading over margin shorting, explaining her strategy of buying weekly or Friday expiring puts on stocks like UPS to capitalize on price drops while maintaining strict risk-reward ratios that often yield high percentage gains in a very short timeframe. To support these teachings and provide ongoing guidance, Armo is offering the "Golden Gap Course" alongside a massive back-to-school promotion that includes free subscriptions to her trading room and options newsletter through 2027 for those who enroll before Friday the fourteenth. The course itself serves as an intensive two-day event where participants learn how she scans markets daily to build watchlists of gapping stocks, rates them based on specific criteria like a twenty-point move potential, and executes trades with precision. She highlights that this special offer is highly cost-effective compared to standard tuition fees, allowing students to master her system while gaining access to live trade ideas for over eighteen months, effectively removing the uncertainty of what to focus on each day by providing a consistent strategy tailored for working from home or building a new career in finance.

Hello everyone, welcome. This is Melissa Armo with The Stock Whisperer and I'm doing a huge back to school special this week. It's that time of the year, people are going back to college, people Some people are already back in school if you can even believe it. And before you know it, it's going to be fall. So, it's a great time to learn, get prepared for fall trading. One of the busiest times of the year, and I love the fall in New York City, just absolutely beautiful in Central Park. If you have questions or you're interested in the special, email me at melissathestockwhisperer.com or you can always call me at 929-3200 gap. You can follow me on X, which used to be Twitter, Facebook, or YouTube. And again, I'm on TV. I talk about the stock market, I talk about the economy. I mean, there's been so much news this year. 2026 has been a banner year for fluctuations and volatility in the market, mainly due to the Iran war. Uh we did uh oil long yesterday. It was a nice trade. I mean, this is the type of environment when you have volatility where you can make money. So, anyways, I'm doing a huge back to school special. For those of you that have been following me and want to trade, again, good time to learn and you can start getting in and trading. We'll talk about the special at the end, but like I was saying the other day in a lecture in the trading room, learning is so important. You can never know enough. Do you know what I'm saying? And I think people after a certain age feel like, oh, they don't want to be bothered learning. They just want to take trades blindly. You can't be successful and do that. You really have to understand what's going on. As human beings, our human nature is we want to understand why it does help us take a trade, put the risk on, hold the trade. It allows us to make money. I try my best to make teaching really fun for people so that they can learn and they can enjoy it. And for me, I always thought learning was fun. I never thought it was a drag, but for a lot of people, again, they think, "Oh, I'm this many years old or I'm too old to learn." That's just not true. You're never too old to learn something different. And even if you have years and years of experience in the market and trading, the fact is that you don't know what I know. So, when you come and take my class, you're going to learn what I know. What do I know? I know how to trade gaps, and I focus on institutional money in a gap, and I'm mainly short. And again, I'm shorting in a bullish environment and a bearish environment. And don't forget making money is fun, too. So, that's the goal, that's the reason we're doing it. But if you understand what to do, you will be able to make money. This was yesterday's trade. It was a really, really, really nice short. We shorted Apple 306.80, boom, got the drop. Risked 5,500. This was a nice job. It was only a buck. 304.65 was my exit. Had a beautiful exit on this yesterday. Almost the low of the day. Profit was 11,825. So, again, what did we do? Stock closed here on Friday at one price, gap down on Monday at a different price, and we shorted it. We actually shorted this tail, got out in the tail, boom, done. We were done like in less than 5 minutes. It was a really, really beautiful trade. Again, this is something that I'm very good at doing. Seeing the fast trades, seeing the quick trades, and doing it. Now, if you took a smaller size, 1,200 shares, again, you could have done a daily put. Actually, you could have made 25.80. This is a pretty trade. This is a phenomenal trade. It's taking your risk and turning it over twice. What more can you ask for? I mean, my goal every day is just try to turn it over once. So, whether you're a small trader, a beginner trader, an advanced trader, your the size depends on your size of your account. How much can you take? Again, you could have bought a put. Apple has puts for Monday, Wednesday, and Friday expirations. That's something new. But you could have done that, too. So, for me, I trade in the morning between 9:30 and 10:00 a.m. Eastern time. You got to be able to trade if you want to be in the room during that time. If you're thinking about trading with me, again, do you want to do day trades? Do you want to do options? You have to decide if this is for you or if it sounds like something you might want to learn, my method. Do you need daily trade ideas? A lot of people do. They have no idea what to focus on. I focus on usually one thing a day. Like, I know what I'm doing today. Actually, you're ready and it's not even 8:00. Do you like to make money quickly and be in and out of trades fast? Again, Apple was a quick one yesterday. I love that. If I can make money in 5 minutes every day and thousands of dollars in 5 minutes every day, that would be fabulous. That's what I strive to do. Do you need a consistent trading strategy? A lot of people are all over the place. That's a big mistake. You got to get focused. Do you have a passion or interest to learn the market and trade? Do you want to work from home? Very convenient. Very convenient. I had to go to jury duty last Wednesday. Oh my god, I had to commute all the way downtown and then get back uptown. I thought, "Oh my god, people do this every day. I'm so lucky." So lucky, I thought to myself when I came home from that that I don't have to do that every day. Do you want a new career that offers unlimited income potential, which of course the market does? So, if you come and want to learn my system, you will learn a 26-point checklist. This is how I knew Apple would drop. It measures gas by reading them in the daily chart to find stocks to trade that have number one, a high probability of directional bias for the entire day. Very important. Big move on the day. Again, extremely important. Really confirmation of the bias and move between 9:30 and 10:00 and precise entries with follow-through and a good risk-reward target potential. Now, I was talking about options. If you want to do options, I do options, too, but I'm not in and out of options for in 5 minutes and I'm not doing the daily expiration, so you know. I'm doing the Fridays. So, we did the UPS puts. This was back on the 28th. Now, again, if you take if you sign up for the back to school special, you will receive not only the room subscription, but also the options newsletter subscription, which means you're going to get these trades emailed to you in live time. So, we did this here. Stock closed here, gap down, open dropped, fell. So, this was again a short. You would have bought a put. Again, you would have gotten a put in the morning pre-market. Can't do it until after the open. Here was the trade. Really super cheap. $1.25 was the cost, sold it to $2.25, made a dollar. Good enough for me. In and out. Do do do. Made 80%. Here was the drop. So, this continued continued continued continued. You could have got out here on the first day. Actually, you were still up here on day two. Get out of it here. Actually, you were still up the last day where I'm looking cuz it was still down the last day. Well, that was a nice trade. We did the 105 puts. So, if you're thinking about I don't know if I want to do margin trades options, you don't have to decide before the class. If you're familiar with doing day trades, great. If you're familiar with how to take options and you like them better if it's your retirement account and you can't short a margin, you can only do puts, fine. But again, trading on margin is very advantageous and now everyone can do it. You don't even need the normal 25,000 that you used to have to have. That used to be a requirement at retail brokers. You're going to get 4:1 margin at a retail broker and can have a margin account even with 5 grand, which would give you essentially 20,000 dollars in buying power. And we put a stop in. And I'm flat every day before 4. I mean, most of the trades, like I said, I'm out in the morning. But I think a lot of people don't understand margin, so I'm just going to go through like a brief lesson here. A thousand shares, say of a stock that costs $100, costs what? $100,000 in buying power. Does that mean you need $100,000 cash to take the trade? No. Why? Because a broker will give you four to one, okay? And again, I'm using this example with $100 stock, but you could use any price point. So, in this example, you would need 25,000 cash in a margin account, and you could take the trade. So, what if you take 1,000 shares? You have 25,000 in the account. If the trade loses, do you lose all the 25,000? If the trade loses, do you lose 100,000 the position? No, you do not. You only lose the difference between the entry and the stop. And again, going back to the Apple, if you're taking 1,200 shares, you would have stopped out, and if if it had stopped out, it didn't, but if it did, you would have lost $1,200. You wouldn't have lost the cost of this. Okay? Does that make sense? So, that's important for people to know, and I don't think a lot of people understand that. I I I If you really Margin trading is fun, easy, it allows you to take positions in stocks and getting in and out very quickly. Um and again, not have to have millions of millions of dollars in an account. So, if you did this trade, for example, just showing you, when I call the trades in the room, the entry if it was a $100 stock, okay, and you entered it, paid that, put the stop at 150, took 1,000 shares, what's your risk? Your risk is $500. That's it. So, if you lost, you would have lost $500. And that's the benefit of trading on margin. Truly, really. And this is a benefit I've taken advantage of ever since I started trading. But for most people, they have no idea what to trade every day. Again, I know what I'm doing today, and it's not even 8:00. So, I get up in the morning and I scan, and I make a watch list of stocks that are gapping. I rate them and make my pick. If the stocks rate rates 20 points or more, I take them in the direction of the gap. This is what you learn from me. You'd also learn how to enter the trades, how to exit the trades. You can do them as options or day trades. The class is called the Golden Gap course. So, the class for August is a great class to take if you want to trade in the fall, but you can start trading now. Cuz the class isn't for another week and a half. Class tuition is $69.99. It's August 22nd and 23rd, 9:00 to 5:00. Again, class is online. You can be anywhere in the world and take it. But, the huge back-to-school special, which I think a lot of people are very excited about because I've never done this actually, gives you everything free for my subscriptions through the end of next year. That is absolutely huge. So, you can start trading now, get to trade with me, get all my trades through the end of 2026 and all of 2027. That is huge. This ends on Friday the the 14th. You have a couple of days to decide, but many people are already following me and know they want to join. So, this is a no-brainer if you've been thinking about doing it. Really very cost-effective because you will take the class, learn, and then be able to just relax, focus on learning, and trade with me for the next year and a half. So, the class is $69.99. Everyone pays the same. This special, though, ends on Friday the 14th. Do not delay. If you want to sign up, email me at melissathestockwhisperer.com, and have a great trading day, everybody.
