Applied Science for Global Impact | ICTP Science, Technology & Innovation

The Science, Technology, and Innovation Unit at ICTP focuses on applied research supported by three specialized laboratories designed to foster collaboration with universities and other institutions. The Marconi Lab concentrates on telecommunications, while the Scientific Fab Lab addresses science communication and STEM education initiatives. Additionally, the M Lab is dedicated to advanced instrumentation and microelectronics, providing a robust infrastructure for technical innovation within the organization. A central goal of this unit is to create an inclusive environment where young researchers, particularly those from developing countries, can access these facilities and conduct joint research projects with established experts.
