Had to go do a thing today. So, we
stopped by a couple antique malls that
we go to. Uh first one, we got skunked.
Didn't get anything.
Second one, we got a few things. I'll
show you just a quick video of what we
got here.
We got this uh Sony hi-fi stereo 19
micron head auto clock set and auto head
cleaner. This is a VHS player.
We gave five bucks for it. We bought
this because we bought something for
that. Um this we got this to try this
out. That way if it eats this I don't
care about it. Uh, this was $4.95.
Um, because we got this because
we we've been seeing this and we've been
wanting it, but we didn't have any way
to to play this. Which, now that I'm
thinking about it, I do have a way to
play this monk.

>> Oh, yeah.

>> Huh.
>> But, so anyway, if this don't work,
whatever. It's five bucks. things. Won't
worry about taking it back or anything.
I just cut the cord off and so we wanted
to
been wanting to get this. So, we got it
and um so we're going to be doing a
video on checking this out and see if
this plays. Um yeah, it's got some
scratches on it. Is a Sony
again. If it don't work, no big deal.
Then
had my eye on this for
Boy, how many months? Probably Well,
probably close to a year
when that's

>> it's been there.
>> Oh, yeah.
>> It's been there because they got 150
bucks on it. And the last time we was
there, monkey was like, "Man, you sure
you don't?" I said, "No, I don't want to
get that." I mean,
they only made these in 1990.
Um, but I'll go through more of that
later when we try this out and I'll
explain more to you about it. And um,
but I was like, "No, I'm not giving 150
for it." We've seen them on eBay and
they're still on eBay. There's one for
115. I've seen one somebody's got on
there for $85, but it's incomplete.
Uh, and then of course there's one
that's factory sealed for $225.
Um, they are pretty rare, but to me
they're not $150 rare, let alone $225.
So, she said, "Well, take it up there
and maybe they'll call the owner and see
if they'll they'll take a
an offer on it." So, like the last time
I said, "Man, you know," I said, "If
they had $75 on it, I'd get it and I'd
feel okay about it. Uh, I wouldn't feel
like I was getting a great deal, but I
would be getting a fair deal at 75." So,
I was like, "All right, let's just take
it up there." And we did. And he he
called the owner, and I heard the owner
over the phone say, "Yeah, that's no
problem. Yeah, I'll take it." So, I got
it for 75 bucks. Um, so we are going to
I did open this one time during the
store and it seemed like it was all
complete. The box has a little wear in
it. Um, it's not perfect by any means,
but you know, I I felt comfortable with
75 cuz I don't have this set, you know.
So, but anyway, so that's what we that's
what we got.
So this this will be fun me and monkey
to play cuz we got the regular clue
game. Like I said, I got this just
because, you know, because
to try this out. That way if this eats
us up, then I know not to put this in
it. So, but yeah. Um
but we'll do a video on seeing if this
works. We may do that here in a little
bit.
It's Friday. And then tonight we'll
we'll set this up and check it out and
try it out.
Um, but if I remember right, I looked
through it and I believe it was all
there. So, like I said, this thing, you
know, I thought they had another one
there. I forget what it was. It wasn't
Sony, but it was another name brand
uh for $4. So, if this don't work, we'll
run up and get the other one this
weekend for $4 and try it. But I do have
I think I do have a camera, a video
camera that takes these kind of tapes
and uh
and I know it works. It could uh maybe
possibly do it for us. But anyway, just
a quick, you know, thing. It is missing
that little knob off of there, but I
really don't care about it. This is a
VCR Plus
Pl+ plus.
So anyway, should be fun to try out.
We'll try that out. Uh Monkeyy's mom got
home yesterday and the doctor wants to
see her again today. So
um when they go and she takes her to the
doctor, we'll hook this up. I'll bring
small TV out here because um fun fact a
lot of things happened over the last
week when we went camping. Um so when we
went camping have a a DVR system in
there for you know the security cameras
and stuff and I noticed a couple of them
wasn't working right and I got four of
them hooked up to that DVR and it's it's
several years old. Um it just it was
acting strange. I said, "Well, that's
that's going bad." So when we went to uh
when we was camping,
I you know, sometimes I take her dad's
old laptop, which is a Windows 10, and
it can't be upgraded to Windows 11. It
was very slow, but it worked. It did
what I had to do. It worked. Right. So,
but anyway, we're there and it was
working. I was editing the first video
on this computer
and I had to wait, you know, for it to
do its thing all night long. The next
morning, Monkey got up to
um Well, the night before, see the
memory card reader is over here. The
night before that, Bruno jumped up on me
and he put his paw here and he broke my
memory card. Well, it was in a sleeve,
so technically just the sleeve broke.
So, I was like, "Well, thank God I
didn't lose all my footage, you know."
So, it broke. Then this, the next
morning, he knocks this over. He gets
tangled up in the cord. He knocked this
over and then all at once when I went to
use, I noticed it was acting real weird.
And when I went to use it, it just
blanked out and that was it. You can't
take the batteries out of these and
I couldn't get it to, you know, shut off
or do anything. So, it froze up. So,
monkey bought me a a new one. Um, so I
can use when we're camping and stuff to
edit videos. So, we get home. First
thing I seen in the garage was not the
cameras. The cameras wasn't showing on
on the TV in there. I was like, "Oh no."
Well, the DVR puked.
Broke my memory card sleeve, which we
had to buy. You can't just buy the
sleeve. So, she bought me a new memory
card, which was 45 bucks, but it's a
good one. Um, so, and then this, you
know, broke. So, there's three things.
And then uh then I went in, turned the
uh TV on in the bedroom. Not the big
one, but the one that used to be her mom
and dad's that I that I use as a
monitor. Turned it on. Was getting ready
to do my thing. It blanked out and would
not come on. So now I got a little old
TV that actually quit working in the
camper one time. We had to put a new
one. We put a new TV in there. And then
one day monkey tried it and uh
and it came on. But so I'm using it
until I get another beggar screen to,
you know, hang on the wall in there
where I do my video editing. So yeah, a
bunch of stuff was blowing up on us. So
but anyway, yeah, this will be next
video. We'll try this with this movie
and see if it see if it works. you know,
no remote, but you know, I mean, it does
have buttons. So, um yeah, and then this
evening, I think we'll we'll get this
out and try it out and see if it works.
And then, um sometime we'll play this. I
don't know if we'll do this, if we'll
ever film this or not, but it seems to
be all here. All the cards and
everything seems to be in here.

seems to be here. I'll have to check and
make sure, but anyway,
