I know there was an accident from a police chase. Two officers passed away. Five suspects passed away. There was a car crash into a house. A house rammed. Um, and I don't want to allege anything, so I just want to look at the videos and of course give my commentary on what like how I'm connecting it. You know what I'm saying? So, let's get into this, man. So, I guess we'll start with the oldest video I have from three days ago. This from Sky News. Uh, let's check it out. Let's bring in our correspondent, Katie Barfield, who's in Middlesbrough for us. And Katie, we now know the identities of the five in the car, the Volkswagen Pat. >> So, it's a Volkswagen Pat. Okay. Normal vehicle. >> We do indeed. that update just within the last half hour from Cleveland police confirming the names and the ages of all of the five people who were in the Volkswagen Patat um at the time who lost their lives in this deadly crash as their pat uh careered head on into a police car that was being driven uh by >> head on into a popo car. I was literally just before she said that I was wondering like how did all five like I feel like that's a god forbid it happens to anybody but I feel like it's a rarity for everybody to you know what I'm saying [snorts] and guaranteed at least two maybe at least one one of those people in that car didn't want to be there 100% that's normally how it go like dang there's one person in there that just went off Peter pressure at least. So like this is a serious subject. We watch a lot of police chase videos on this on this channel. It's a it's rare that I see I've never seen actually I'm not saying it's not possible, but I've never seen a police car willing to play chicken with the suspects. I've never seen it. Never seen it. I don't think I've ever seen it. Like that's high risk. That's too high risk. Like nobody's coming out of that. That's messed man. Keep going. >> Also died. We now know that all of the occupants of the Volkswagen pass were male. They were all either teenagers uh or in their early 20s. I'll just run through the names of them. Uh again, Michael Robert Cahill was 23. >> I'm going guess this is Michael Roberts Cahill. Theo Ray who was 17, Cole Robert Worthy who was 16 years old, Jacob Matusiaak who was 23, and Mai Saddington who was 18. Now an incredibly sad day. >> That's messed up. These two are full grown men. Still got their frontal lobe undeveloped, so they can't they make rash and stupid decisions. But I don't know, man. These dudes are super young up here >> for the community around here. This is a very tight-knit community in this part of the northeast. And all day we've watched people coming to lay flowers and tributes uh both for the police officers who lost their lives and also for the people who died uh in the Volkswagen pass out. Some of the balloons uh behind me here have been left for Michael who of course uh is one of the people Michael Cahill who lost his life in the pass out. Several notes have been written uh in memory of the people who lost their lives. We've also seen a couple of police officers in uniform coming to lay flowers and pay tribute. >> My initial thought was why why were both of them driving or was one sitting still and one just was going like boom and hit him. Like what? Like what? Like I need more info cuz I just don't see the police playing that type of game with anybody. No, nobody. I don't see that. I don't see that ever being a tactic of the police in no country like that. I don't see it. So, I just need more like I need more. I need to know what happened. >> Their colleagues. Now, the investigation here is still ongoing as well. There is still a large section of the A66 that's closed behind me at the moment while police continue their investigations. We've been watching over the past 24 hours. police forensics teams coming in combing through uh the debris from that crash. We saw a car being moved on uh by a recovery team yesterday uh evening. So they >> had to be a devastating crash like it had to be stuff like parts everywhere from the vehicles >> will be continuing their work uh to piece together their investigation. There also is an investigation simultaneously ongoing uh by the independent office for police conduct. standard in any case where there are deaths, where the police are involved. >> And that's going to be important because that ties into my line of questioning. Was the police sitting there or were they really playing that game of chicken? Because that cannot be standard protocol in any office across the UK. So, it leads me to like I just don't like that would be shocking if they did that. That's what I'm saying. They will be wanting to look not just at the crash itself, but in the moments leading up to that and the decisions that were made. We understand that PC Blades and PC Kluff were not invol involved directly in the pursuit of the Volkswagen pass as it hit them. Well, it was driving the wrong way down the A66, but that other teams of officers had been >> Oh, he was driving the wrong way down the A66. I thought it was like for some reason I'm thinking it's like a like a one of those thin roads and you got to pull over and they just No, this is okay. You were literally on the wrong side of the road. So, we've seen that in a lot of police chases. But what time did this occur? Hold on. Okay, because I have to go get a look at the road. It is a dual carriageway. It is separated by a clear median, but I do do I do know for sure whatever it takes in a criminal's mind to get away, they're gonna do. They're going to put themselves at high risk so the police can back off. And from this, here's the Volkswagen right here. Crunched. Crunched. Devastating. Had to ignite. Police cars flipped over from Van. I know the police car stopped and it's had a bend. This is a bend in the road, too. But I'm wondering if like they got to this. No, this is a long bend. So maybe this car was the Volkswagen was gone, gone, gone. And they probably didn't see each other, but the police knew cuz they're on comms. They knew what was happening. Maybe it just they didn't expect her to be that close. And I'm pretty sure that Volkswagen came around this corner and didn't know that that car was the police car is right there cuz this is a crazy bend. Like you going at speeds that would do this to your car. It had to be super fast. Had to be. [clears throat] That's that's crazy. And the fact that these officers are over here having a cup of coffee, like get off the scene of the crime. Get go home. Go sit in your car and do that. I'll be taking stuff like this as disrespect lowkey, but but whatever. That car. So, the IOPC will be wanting to look at the decisions that were made, often split-second decisions, of course, in a high-speed pursuit like this. Uh they'll be wanting to look at the communication uh between officers and >> was that it cuz this looked different this road >> possibly whether there was any communication uh with PC Blades and PC cloth. >> Was that picture I pulled up the correct one? Cuz that it kind of look a little bit different >> as well. So the investigations uh are continuing here. What we don't know at the moment is the circumstances of the crash. Although we have been told the names uh and the ages of the occupants, we haven't been given any details about the circumstances that led uh to this impact other than Cleveland police saying uh that family liaison officers are continuing to support the families of everybody who lost their lives. >> Katie, we had that emotional uh statement from the chief constipal of Cleveland police, Victoria Fuller, yesterday. Just give us a depth, the sense of emotion as well even today within the local community. Yeah, you could just hear it, couldn't you, in the Chief Constable Victoria Fuller's voice as she named the two police officers who had lost their lives yesterday, visibly and audibly uh emotional as she named them. Uh she spoke about having visited their families personally uh to break the news to them, which we can imagine must have been very difficult, particularly as Cleveland police is quite a small force and quite a tight-knit community around here. I spoke also to the local police and crime commissioner, Matt Sto. >> We've seen This is not a um this is not like an isolated incident in Middlesborough either. There's a ton of police chases in Middlesborough. This is Middlesboro like just from my research on our own on this channel. Middlesboro, they have a lot of police chases. Like we they're they're in they're I I follow their police force like on YouTube. like I follow their channel because I know they're going to have something >> very early and he was talking about that about how it is a small area. It is a close-knit area. It's likely that many of the officers and also many of the other emergency services uh who worked here uh may have known each other. So, this will be a loss really felt hard uh in the cle Cleveland police community, but also in the wider community here. Plenty of people who've come down to lay flowers said this is the kind of community where everybody knows each other. So, this is like the beginning of the site because the road is closed. Cleveland police says it has arrested uh 12 people that is in connection with a head-on car crash on the A66 dual carriageway on Saturday which killed seven people including >> Wait, 12 people was arrested. So were 12 people initially committing a crime? So were were 17 people initially committing a crime and then five hopped in the whip and ran off or something? ing two police officers. The police are launching a widescale investigation into what they say is the criminality which took place. >> Yeah. Yeah. That's the part that I heard. Okay. The criminality in America, we got something called a Rico. The whole gang going down and because of there was a loss of life and there were officers involved that loss of life. Oh, everybody. It's a it's it's done in about three years. Middlesboro is going to be a place they go that's going to be the the best place to live. Ain't going to be no crime. So on the morning of Saturday the 22nd of August, Cleveland police received reports of two vehicles being driven dangerously in the local area in the northeast of England. The first vehicle was a Volvo and that was ramming properties in a town called Middlesbrough. The second vehicle, a Volkswagen >> ramming properties >> sat is believed to have been associated with the activities of that Volvo XC60. Now, >> number plate recognition cameras picked up that these two cars were using clone plates. The Volvo had been involved in the initial reports has been traced and recovered in Middlesbrough as part of this investigation. Police inquiries have resulted in 12 people being arrested across T-side. Nine men and three women aged between 19 and 61 have been ranging >> 19 and yeah, they got everybody. Somebody's snitching. All they need is one person to snitching. Everybody's going down. aged between 19 and 61 have been arrested on multiple offenses ranging from possession of a firearm to participating in the activities of an organized crime group. And the police have also pointed out that at this current time there is no evidence to suggest that filming of the activities that took place on Friday and sat Friday night and Saturday morning has taken place for the purposes of Tik Tok and that four of the occupants of the Pat for who died had previous police convictions. >> Here's my thing. I'm pretty sure the town and its residents have been complaining for years about this stuff that's been going on. And I'm pretty sure the policing was, you know, spotty to say best. Well, as we've heard, the government has told social media companies, including Tik Tok, to take content down that shows dangerous driving. Dangerous driving has existed for a long time, but the problem is now you're able to film it, post it, and potentially reach a huge audience with the algorithm. And there's a growing concern about these videos that are showing young people fleeing the police, young people going up the wrong side of the street and showing reckless behavior. And I think what's now the question is that is social media the incentive for doing more and more extreme types of driving because people are getting likes, they're getting shares. Uh and they're being known for either being cooler or notorious on >> You know what this reminds me of? I could drop a song dissing this person and this person and this person and you going to get it and a bunch of people going to like it and it's going to piss you off. It's kind of similar. It's kind of similar. I I will say that it would be tragic if they took that off. I mean, it wouldn't be tragic. It would be it I can't even say they wrong in this because I'll be I'm I'm here. I watched them. I watched them. I react. I but I I watch mostly police's videos though. You know what I'm saying? Like the ones the police and the news post. But I can't I will say like that's probably she's on to something. That's what I said. Um it's rare that I have somebody like somebody's material from there and it's just posted on their channel and I watch it. I normally go to the police channels and watch or like BBC News. They've put the police up and there the other footage. So listen, no matter what, that footage is going to be obtained. There's a lay there is a layer of protection on social media, but sometimes it gets through and even if it's there for a slight second, somebody has screenshot it, screen recorded it, put it somewhere, the news be on that same thing. They be scouring looking for that type of stuff too to put in their report. So, I mean, it's it's still going to get there. And let's not act like the news these big these big news stations are not perpetuating it, too. Because if I'm a criminal and I see y'all talking about me on the news and I see my clip, boy, I'm lit. Within minutes, the Volkswagen pating got who how do you say his name? Ge worthy son Cole and four friends was caught on CCTV racing at between 80 to 100 miles per hour down Lime Road in Tesville pursued by three police vehicles. So, was guy was Cole even home or did he just immediately call the guys, hop in the car, or was he even home? Is this a case of ma'am, they they plan, we can't catch him. All five passengers were when the Volkswagen Pat going the wrong way down the A66 hit a Cleveland police armed response vehicle. heading in the opposite direction at 3:39. Dang, it's only 40 minutes 39 minutes later. Two police officers, PC Matthew Blade, 37, and PC Tom Cloth, 38, were also in the collision. RIP to both of these officers, man. And the line of duty is tough. Um, prayers up to the families, prayers up to the kids. Um, that's tough. There is no suggestion that Gworthy 39, a company director, was involved in any criminal activities, but the attack on his home appeared to be the flash point for the chase between rival. Yeah. See, here we go. It just it just makes me wonder, was his son Cole already outside? And how old was Cole? Did they say we at 141? How old is Cole? How old is Cole, y'all? 17. Okay, so 17, man. You very impressionable. Could probably be outside at this time. And it's Saturday. Yeah, he was definitely outside. Videos online show used in Middlesbor wearing bllo clouds and setting off flares and fireworks and a noisy tribute to the five following the crash. A gang of around 20 mass use on motorbikes and quad bikes roared around the field in an honorer in honor of Jacob Mataus Matasic 23 who had convictions for motoring offenses. The scene sparked fury and in social media. First and foremost, I don't like the fact that they just called this a gang. It could be, it could not. But the fact that they went with the latter, like, can't we remain neutral and not, you know what I'm saying, point the finger to this being a gang? This just might be the culture around there. Like, I've been to the UK, people ride motorbikes in the in the areas like [snorts] that just that's just the culture, the vibe. That's like in Florida, too. They they ride motorbikes. And I know for sure this is like I live right now currently I live in an affluent neighborhood with a bunch of Caucasian kids that be on motorcycles, ballet claws with motor helmet like and I don't call them gang members. The last time a woman in a hospital in critical condition with three people suffering life in the blaze happened about 2 miles from the scene of the crash on A66 last weekend and seven people that unlive seven people including two police officers. Cleveland police said they cannot rule out any links to wider organized crime at this point. No, they can't. What I tell you in a previous video, like it's a Rico. Everything's going to connect now. It's over. Everything's connecting. Let me move this to this side, man. I don't like it on this. But they going to connect everything possible. And I found this community uh that uh routinely glorifies reckless driving and also displays this palpable disliking of the police.
