Video summary

The video begins by celebrating a major day for fans of the Legend of Zelda series, highlighting recent announcements from both the Zelda 40th Anniversary Direct and the Nintendo General Direct. The primary focus of this summary is the release of eight minutes of brand new footage featuring full audio from the upcoming Ocarina of Time remake, which was sourced directly from the Japanese Nintendo website. This exclusive clip offers a rare glimpse into the game's sound design and atmosphere, providing viewers with an authentic experience that goes beyond typical visual leaks. The host emphasizes the significance of having direct feed audio, noting that this content is highly anticipated and will be discussed in detail alongside other updates revealed during these recent events. A significant portion of the discussion revolves around the updated character profiles and official art comparisons between the original game and its remake. The video showcases redesigned appearances for key characters such as Sheik, Epona, Impa, Princess Ruto, Darunia, and Saria, noting that while some designs remain faithful to their roots, others have been modernized with fresh aesthetics. For instance, the new design for Young Link is praised for feeling fresh and new, even if it differs from the original sprite art. Similarly, Ganondorf's redesign is highlighted as a strong improvement, complemented by incredible voice acting that brings depth to his character. The host also points out subtle changes in Impa's muscular build and Ruto's enhanced visual appeal, suggesting that these updates successfully blend nostalgia with modern graphical standards. Beyond character designs, the video explores interesting gameplay and world-building details, such as a humorous inflation joke regarding Deku Nuts now costing 20 Rupees instead of the original 15. The host also presents an updated map of Hyrule, revealing that Nintendo has made landscape adjustments and repositioned certain areas to enhance the player's experience without strictly adhering to a one-to-one remake approach. These changes indicate that the development team has embellished the world with new elements and refined layouts to create a more immersive adventure. The overall tone is one of excitement and appreciation for the thoughtful updates, acknowledging that while not every change will appeal to everyone, the collective effort to honor the legacy while innovating is commendable. The video concludes by directing viewers to watch the full eight-minute audio-visual clip embedded in the description, which serves as the main attraction for those eager to hear the game's soundtrack and sound effects firsthand. The host encourages the audience to explore this official footage from the Japanese site, as it represents one of the few instances where complete audio has been made available to the public. By sharing this exclusive content, the video aims to build anticipation for the game's release and foster a deeper connection between fans and the evolving world of Hyrule. Ultimately, the presentation balances detailed analysis of artistic changes with genuine enthusiasm for the project, inviting viewers to join the conversation as the remake continues to generate buzz within the gaming community.

Hey everyone, uh we are giving away a Nintendo Switch 2 right now. You can enter through the link down in the pin comment or the description. The only requirement is to be subscribed to the channel in order to enter. And today, guys, what an exciting day. Uh look, we had two directs, obviously. The Zelda 40th anniversary direct yesterday. We had the Nintendo General Direct today. Lots of great stuff from that. You're really going to want to watch tonight's Nintend podcast when we come up with it because my lord, we have some massive discussions coming your way, including a huge one on Ocarina of Time. And that is what we're going to be talking about in this video because since yesterday's direct, we have gotten our hands on eight minutes of footage with sound. I kid you not, we have direct feed audio. This is awesome. Can't wait to show you guys that. You're actually probably going to see it a couple of times. One obviously on its own and then one obviously just overlapping anything else I feel like talking about. But uh we have a lot of other updates for Ocarine Time as well. We have some character profile updates we got to go over. Uh we have a look at the comparison of the official art compared to the original art. Uh we have a look at one change in the game that I don't know why it changed but really cool. And then actually the map of Hyrule from the Japanese Nintendo website. In fact, a lot of these updates come from uh well Nintendo and Japan because that's where they're doing a lot of stuff. And the first thing we're going to get to is the character profiles. We're starting here over on the Zelda official uh Japanese well basically the official Zelda Twitter account here. And it says, "Seek, a mysterious young man." This is obviously Sheic uh who claims to be a survivor of the Shika tribe. He frequently appears before Link playing music on his harp while teaching him various Ocarina uh melodies. And that's cool. Uh the hashtag is a little weird because they spaced it out, but hey, uh we all know who Sheic really is, but that is the character profile description. Next up, we have Capora Gabbora says, "A giant wise owl. He frequently appears by the side of Link who has set out on a journey and shows him the path he should take." Pretty cool art there of Capora Gabbora. We're not done here because next up we have Impa and it says, "Zelda's nursemaid said to be a descendant of the Shikica tribe who once swore loyalty to the royal family and serve from the shadows." Pretty neat design. I really like uh what they went for with that design, but you know, everyone's going to view things a little differently. Uh next up though, I guess technically betroved to Link himself, RT. So, the princess of the Zora tribe residing in Zora's domain, she is free spirit. She is freespirited and often causes trouble for those who serve her, but at heart she is honest and straightforward. And if you don't understand the tease I said, you're about to find out when you play Acarine of Time for the very first time. Next up, Darunia. He is the big boss of the Goron tribe, living in Goron City. A stubborn fellow, but a brotherly figure beloved by his clan. I would say that is a pretty apt description of one of my favorite Gorons of all time. Next up though is the one that many people thought Link might end up in this game, his childhood best friend, Sara. So a girl from the Kieri tribe and Link's childhood friend. She has a kind heart and is always concerned about Link. She loves music and often plays the ocarina in a secret place. And again, she has that really cool Kieri garb design going on. I really, you know, there's been some discussion over whether people like the design of Link and the garb. I got to say, I actually do like the change. I think it makes it feel fresh and new again, but I know not for everyone. You know what character has never meant for everyone? Na'vi. So, the fairy who guided Link to the Forest Guardian deity Deutree Sama, a reliable partner who provides hints for the adventure and information on enemies, characteristics to Link, who continues his solitary journey of hardship. And this time they got the hashtag correct. So their social teams are slowly getting it together over there. Uh and that's actually it for um that part of the art update because we're going to look at another part of the art art update that actually looks at a comparison of official art to the original Ocarina of Time art. Uh just cuz this looks cool. So you can definitely see there's a massive design change in Young Link here from the original one. Obviously we all know the one on the left. The one on the right though is what he looks like today. I think that looks pretty fascinating. Next up here we see the design change in Princess Zelda. I think the one on the right actually does look pretty good. The face to me maybe a smidge off. You can argue the eye colors off a bit. I don't know. I think as I play the game it's going to grow on me. So I'm not too concerned about what she looks like. Over here you see Ganondorf. Obviously the one on the left being from the original game, the one on the right being the new one. I think they did Ganondorf some pretty good justice here. And his voice acting in the game sounds incredible as well. Here we obviously see well you know who. Good old Saria here with her change. Obviously, I love the new design for the Kieri. Uh, next up here, you're seeing Impa. Again, really liking the design. Bit more muscular than the original Impa, I'd say a bit, but also Impa's always been kind of a muscular figure, so it all works for me. Uh, next up here, we obviously have Ruto. The designs are obviously very similar. It's a fish lady, but she obviously looks even more stunning in the modern game. Next up here is Darunia. Whether you like the old design or the new design more, I don't know. I think they both have their own unique charm. Uh, next up here we see Link himself. Obviously, some people prefer the one on the left. I do prefer the one on the right, but everyone has their own personal taste. And then next up, we see young Link, and this is with Na'vi shooting the boomerang with the old boomerang pose and the new boomerang pose. Think they both look good. I think they're both serving their p purpose with the eye closed, trying to aim the slingshot. So, yeah, guys. I don't know why I said boomerang slingshot, guys. My gosh, it was right on screen. What was I thinking? Uh, that being said, guys, what if I got to tell you that uh we get to get back to making a joke about your nuts, the Deku nuts, because apparently in Hyrule, they cost more than they once did. This is actually funny. So, the original deu nuts were five pieces for 15 rupees. For some reason in the remake, they moved up to 20. So, inflation apparently exists in Hyrule. It just took 30 years. So, okay, maybe not quite 30 years, but you get the idea. Pretty interesting. And I thought that was a really cool thing. And the last thing I wanted to look at here was the map of Hyrule uh before we get to the actual footage. So here is the map of Hyrule. Uh according to the Japanese website, looks pretty cool, guys. You could see when you look at it, there's clearly some some changes to the landscape a bit. Um they actually kind of move things around uh a smidge, but I think it looks pretty good. I think it looks really good actually. Uh, and as we have seen, if you actually compare the original game to the remake, and not just the map, but the actual like gameplay and all that, there are differences. They move things around. They've added things. Uh, they've done some interesting stuff. It's not a straight one to one remake. They definitely embellished and did a lot of cool stuff. Now, all of that's really fascinating and I love it to bits, but what you're probably here for is the eight new minutes of brand new footage with the full audio. So, I'm actually going to let that close out the video. Eight full minutes. Please enjoy all of it off of the Japanese website. This is all official stuff, including the audio. Uh, not a lot of people have the full audio, so I just wanted to get that out to you guys. Thank you so much for tuning in. Uh, go ahead, watch that footage, and obviously when it's all done, I'll catch you in the next video. Up. Heat. Huh? Sorry. Yeah. Yep. Yep. Yep. Stop. Hey. Yep. Go. >> Listen. Take that. Yep. Let's go. Let's get you. Come on. Hey. Hey.
