Air Jordan August Sneaker Release Update 2026 Watch Before You Buy

Today we're going over all the Jordans set to drop this month in August, and honestly, it's a pretty solid month. First up, we have the Air Jordan 13 Flint Grays. Now, these actually just came out yesterday. We're a little bit late on the upload, but it's okay. You know, today's Sunday. So, I have this shoe. This is the old retro. Well, not old retro, but like last retro, and then they just came out again. I haven't picked up the new pair yet, but I do plan on picking up the new pair and kind of switching them out. So, give me your thoughts and impressions about these. We'll talk about it in a second. >> This shoe was iconic in our group of folks. >> Mhm. >> This was one of the ones we went down there and got everybody some shoes. >> For sure. [laughter] For sure. >> When this shoe came out, everybody got this shoe. [music] Nieces, nephews, whoever was with me. [laughter] >> He literally went to the store and whoever was with him, they got these. [laughter] He was buying them for everybody. >> Everybody gets them. >> I remember that. >> Yeah. >> I was rocking those back [clears throat] in the day when the OG came the OG pair came out. I've had every single retro iteration of this shoe and obviously the new one just came out so I got to get those too. But I don't for and you know like I got like every one for all the ones. Sometimes there's certain models that I'm like it's just taking up a lot of space. I don't need to have every version of it. I just need like the most recent one and I'm cool with that. This is one of those ones where I'm like I don't need to get everyone. I haven't even gotten around to wearing this one. I wore my last pair before that. That was like 2010 or something like that. >> And you didn't wear these? I haven't worn these ones yet. So, I'm probably going to get rid of these, get the new pair, and then switch them out type situation. You know what I'm saying? Like do my reviews and everything and then get rid of them. That's kind of where I'm at with it. But instant classic, instant grill, mustave. One of my favorite 13s of all time. >> The color combination is so nasty on this. >> So good. They're so good. >> I mean, this is I know it's not a normal Warren shoe. the black, you know, black and red and other color. This is a part of the Wings program. So, this is where they kind of have that scholarship program. They bring the kids in, they get them like into their system, and then they work with them throughout the years, and they come back [music] and have alumni and all other stuff. And it's it's a dope program, right? So, with this, we've seen multiple models before with Jordan 12s and other models as well, and they make fun elements to the shoe. So, you see all the design aspect to the shoe. Is that on the back? >> This is on the box. Heels. >> This is on the box. >> So that's [snorts] the side panel of the [clears throat] shoe. So when you look at the shoe, you see this right? It's all black murdered out. And it's got some cool details. They got that branding on the inside of the sock liner. The different colors on the uh bottom of the shoe. And then there's no photos. Oh, I thought there was going to be photos. >> What is that? Go to what? On the side of the shoe right there. >> This material. >> Yeah. >> What is that? >> That's kind of hard to see on this. when the other picture was bigger. >> Let me see. Right here. >> Yeah. Oh, this is a jean material. >> Kind of look like a denim style. Yeah. So, you can actually take that entire thing off. You can cut it off. And that >> I see it got holes in it. >> That picture that you saw on the box is behind that on the shoe. [music] So, you I seen it on Instagram where people already was cutting it up and doing all the stuff. Um, but apparently there's no photo. So, I'll try to find a picture on Instagram as well. But that's the whole concept of it. You know, still doing that. Now again, some people say they're over that era of those things. You know how it's like the two shoes in one? You can like distress it or like cut something off and turn it into another shoe or whatever. We've been seeing that more and more over the years. Not as much like 10 years ago, but now more in these past like 5, seven years especially. So, >> I'm not mad at it. >> But it's like a convertible top, right? >> Yeah. >> If you have a convertible, you can choose to take the top off or uh turn it on, make it go down. M you got a hard top, you don't have no choice. With these shoes, at least you got a choice what you want to do with it. >> Yeah, but once you go, you ain't going back. >> You ain't going back. Okay, next up right here, we have a looks like mainly just kids in small toddlers, preschools, grade school sizing right here. So, it's called Play Your Way. This is the Air Jordan 3 >> and it's a clean looking shoe. >> Okay, >> there's no way you going to put this shoe on a little kid and expect this shoe to stay clean. >> That's the tough part. The kids shoes should like always be dark. [laughter] >> This is getting trashed. >> Yeah. >> You know, if they going to school in it, trashed. >> Yeah. >> But if it's like a day with the parents, you can control what they doing. >> They out with you now. They going to look fly. >> Yeah. Yeah. Overall, this kind of like I don't know how to explain it. This looks like one of those like colorways that could have potentially been like a PE or something. >> Yeah. >> Like some random like story line to some. You know what I'm saying? Like it kind of got that vibe to it, >> but it's also like I don't know what this means in any capacity like at all. It's just like you could throw any story. So they call it play your way, but like what does that mean when it says play your way? You know what I'm saying? Now, I could be wrong cuz I don't read everything, but I think they need to explain more about the shoe, how they came up with the concept. >> Well, that's the thing. Like, typically, you can interpret the shoe um by things and elements on the sho. Like, even the Jordan 13, right? So, all black, but then you look, it says wings on the on the tongue, and you're like, "Okay, this is part of the wings program." You kind of see where it's going. You understand like the different ones from the past and stuff. And then you see something like this and you're like, I don't know like where it came from, where it's going, what it means, like all stuff. And it's fun, too. Like, not every shoe has to have a crazy story. This is a kids drop, all the other stuff. So, there's those elements, too. But just the initial first impression, that's what I always think of. Like, >> where does my mind go when I think of any shoe in a colorway and everything like that? >> Next up right here, we have >> This is funny because >> these trash ass shoes. This shoe right here was the shoe that a lot of people was hating on when it first came out, >> right? >> And y'all know I love my sixes. So, when these came out, I was hyped about them. I got them. I also got the Piston sixes, the Lakers sixes. Those were trash. Like, those were for sure garbage. The the Pistons were hot garbage. The Lakers, they was cool, but they was pretty ass. >> It was recycling. Yeah, but these the Oreo sixes, this was one that I was hyped about, >> but the Oreo 6 has always been like the >> But, okay, so look, like I always said, it's kind of like a carmine, but it's not black and white version, more universal, be able to wear it with a lot of things, right? >> So, for me, I had fell in love with it with the initial like upper color blocking element to it. Then they came out with like these other Oreo sixes, but they weren't the Oreo sixes. It was like different versions with the white with the red and the splatter and stuff. It just wasn't like [clears throat] >> making any sense. I'm like, what are we doing here? So then we got news that these were going to be retro. So I still have mine >> up there. There we go. >> Yeah. >> So I'll grab my pair. You tell them what you think about those. >> No, I think this is one of the shoes that must have. I think you should have it in your collection. I don't have it yet. I tried to get them before. They tried to knock me over the head at one of the sneaker cons. I still this is my pair from high school >> and I didn't get it. >> So I still got them. I wear them. You can see they yellow. They dirty and everything. But >> they still clean though. >> But I try to keep them clean over the years. I like the shoe a lot. I'm excited about this one. Get a refresh, get a update. You know, these are still wearable. I've wore these actually not that long ago >> and good shoe overall. Again, it's not a must have. It's not like a grill or anything like that, but I would say the tables have turned a lot from the original drop and all the you get roasted and the negative all the stuff that came with that. And then now everybody's like hyped about it coming back out and all this stuff. So there's certain like the Wolf Grey Fives and certain other shoes that's like coming back. >> It's like y'all wasn't really rocking it like that like that. But then and >> but you got to remember a lot of people always late to the party. And then they had a great time at the party, >> but I'm like, people was not rocking with the Oreo 6es like that. >> But we still in an era of bandwagon >> Yeah. >> So you take something we know that happened in several different shoes like that. >> Yeah. >> And there's some shoes I say, "Let me see it in hand." This is a kids colorway. What you think about these? >> I think it's cute for kids. Honestly, if this was a men's color way, maybe the color blocking was just slightly tweaked a little bit on the bottom half. Like instead of the light pink, it was maybe just white with the darker pink. >> You know what I'm saying? >> Yeah, >> that would be clean for like a adult low top version. >> Um, but this colorway is this this is smooth. I like how it got the rose on the front on the little dub in the front too. Give a little accent hint. It's cool how they've been adding like other elements to the kids pairs too with the little charms and the keychains and all that stuff. Cuz before I wasn't like that as much, >> but I think kids [clears throat] would wear it more because of it. >> Yeah. Also, the shape is like okay. I'm not mad at that too because >> there's certain kids shoes that just have never been good shapewise. >> They block them square. Yeah, they just look trash. It's going to be hard to find. A lot of people's going to be mad. People that get it is going to be happy. It's going to check all them boxes, right? which is going to cause like conversation for that and then it's tough for again a sneaker of the year conversation when a lot of people can't get their hands on it because then they go gravitate to something else even though they wanted that thing >> but how do you judge it? >> So they they're like well this is better because more people could have it and I'm like I guess but it's like is the sneaker itself the best shoe not based off of how many people can have it cuz technically it was still a release that came out to the public. It's not like a PE or a sample or something. So, it should be qualified in that batch. Just like the Dorreer 17, I still say that's sneaker of the year still. But it's like they only made 10,000 pairs. Not everybody gets their head. >> So, they don't get a count. >> Yeah. I never ended up reviewing them and got rid of them and then did cuz it wasn't my size and then just next thing you know, didn't have them no more. Now, these ones, I would for sure keep these, right?
