20 years later and we got the retro of a
shoe that we thought might never ever
retro again, but the way the floodgates
have opened recently, I'm not mad at
this pickup. Today, we're looking at the
Tour Yellow Air Jordan Force. And there
is so much to cover when it comes to
this shoe. As you can see from the box,
first switch up from the original
release. You guys remember it was the
black and silver box era with the Jordan
branding on the side of the lid. This
time you have the face box era. We've
been going with this more often now with
the newer releases. So, I see the theme
that they have going, but again, not
really aligning with anything from the
past. Size tag reads Air Jordan 4,
white, tour, yellow, dark black, gray.
Size 13 just for me. And retail on these
bad boys was 220 bucks. Now, flipping
open the lid of the box, you're going to
notice you have your all over cement
print paper. And then peeling that back,
you have a set of white paper. And then
peeling that back, you have your shoe.
Oh, you got the shoe. Oh, yeah. And if
you didn't know by now, my name is DJ

but most importantly, put you guys in
the best financial position when it

and talking about the 2006 original
release, you know, we got to go over the
history first. Back in 1989, the Air
Jordan 4 released in four original
colorways. You had the Fire Red, the
black cement, the white cement, and the
military blue. Since then, it feels like
we have seen hundreds of different
colorways when it comes to this model.
But specifically in that early 2000s
era, there was the LS series, also known
as the Lifestyle series. And as you can
see on that list, a lot of great shoes
during that time. And that's not even
including the other Jordan models from
the Lifestyle series. And during this
time, I vividly remember going after
these shoes when they dropped. You had
the Thunder and Lightning pack that hit.
Now, technically, it was a pack, but it
came separate with two different pairs.
So, you didn't buy them together like in
a countdown pack era or the DMP pack.
more of like you purchased them
separately but you called them a pack.
And then after that, we also got the
rare air Air Jordan 4s, which a lot of
people considered this a part of that
pack as well. And as a collector then
and now, I feel like it's a mandatory to
have all three. But one major piece that
stood out on the Tour 4s back in 2006,
the Velcro patch. Behind that patch, you
saw the Jordan Rare Air branding in the
white text. And this right here was like
a next level of collecting during this
time and era. The Undefeated Forests was
one of the ones that was floating
around. people knew about it. It was
very expensive and obviously hard to
find and some people had never even seen
the shoe in person before. So to
incorporate the Rare Air branding on
such a rare model that we knew in that
time. This was a very meaningful shoe to
a lot of collectors. And I will never
forget the first time I had ever picked
up a pair. I went and met somebody at
the mall. I was so excited about getting
these and I ended up selling some shoes
to get the cash to be able to purchase
this pair and add them to my collection
during that time. And it was such a
great feeling because at the time like
nobody really had them like that. Not to
mention that I'm a go Steelers type of
guy. So, you know what I'm saying? This
matches perfect with the colors. And I
was already in love with the Tour yellow
Air Jordan 7s, which was a whole another
topic. I think they need a retro those
in the men's sizes because I had a pair,
but then I couldn't technically fit them
cuz they were too small. But I just got
them cuz I liked them. And these went
good with them as well. Like, yeah, that
was a good time. Good era. But since
then, I've been through three different
pairs of these, which is completely fine
with me because you guys know over here,
this is a great opportunity for me to
teach you guys the styles, cuts, and
differences between the two shoes, which
we will cover a little bit. But I feel
like we need to take a deeper dive into
the history and breakdown of these two
shoes. So, I might have to make another
video on that topic. But for now, let's
talk about this 2026 retro. Many of you

inside. Looking at the bottom of the
shoe, you're going to notice classic to
your Air Jordan 4 style. Now, when it
comes to the overall colors and the
pattern on the shoe, this is going to be
identical to your old release in 2006.
Everything the same there. Again, you
got your yellow Jumpman on the bottom,
which means what? Jumpman on the back
tab. Whenever you got Nike branding,
that means you got the Nike Air on the
back tab, which is another conversation.
We'll get into that in a bit. Now,
wrapping up to the midsole and the side
of the foot, similar thing here. You got
your tour yellow right there with the
black splatter. And then you got your
white right here on the bottom half of
the midsole. I'm glad they didn't give
it like some aged look or anything like
that. And then you got your all-white
air unit exposed on the back end around
the heel as well. Now, when it comes to
the leather on the upper and the
materials, honestly, I feel like they're
solid. They're cool. I'm not mad at it.
Is it the best? Is it the worst? No.
It's kind of like right there in the
middle. There was one thing about this
era that just made us feel like this was
such more of a premium shoe compared to
examples like the military blue Air
Jordan 4 and the leather that they use
on those or the Mars Blackman Air Jordan
4s and the leather that they used on
those. That's just a couple different
examples. So, when we had got these in
hand, we were like, "Bro, this is
amazing." Like, this is some of the
great leather right here. They did such
a good job. And obviously since then,
that's been 20 years ago. There have
been a lot of changes over the years.
And that's why again, we need to do a
deeper dive on these two shoes side by
side. Now, besides that, this is going
to have that original cut from 1989. So,
that's going to give you that higher,
bulkier stance right here in the
midfoot, the toe, and the shape,
everything on the front end of the foot.
And then obviously the mesh, the nets,
everything is going to be more similar
to that OG style which we've seen on all
the Air Jordan 4s recently in the past
few years especially. Now going to the
center of the foot, you're going to
notice all white mesh, white nets, white
laces. Everything is coked out there.
And then in the middle of the tongue at
the top end, you're going to see same
thing here with the tumbled leather. And
you have that same patch right there
with the Jordan rare air. Somebody said
they got a pair and it said pair air and
the R was messed up at the beginning. I
feel bad for them. I saw that on a
comment earlier today on one of my
posts. And then you have your patch
right here. Again, so many different
ways that you can wear it. On, off,
upside down, sideways, vertical, you
name it, whatever people like to call
it. There's so many different ways you
can wear this patch, which I think makes
it unique and cool. Now, I know people
have some relation with the rare air
Jordan 4s with that recently releasing
last year and was a great take on how
they did it. I was a fan of that as you
guys know. I think they did a good job
on it, but I don't think those amounted.
I feel like they played respect to that
old era in a shoe like this, but this
one and the undefeated Air Jordan 4,
absolutely mandatory for the collection
in my opinion, just because of old days
and putting the stuff together. At the
end of the day, buy what you like.
That's the most important thing. Now,
looking at the eye stage right here,
you're going to see a semi-transucent
smoky gray right there. And then on the
arm, this is a big difference that I
noticed from the previous pair. It's a
lot bulkier. It's like ashy looking and
it doesn't look as, I would say, nice or
premium compared to the rest of the
upper. So, this is one part of the shoe
that I immediately noticed and I was
like, "Ah, I don't know how I feel about
that." But again, we'll talk about that
in a deep dive on the comparison. For
now, let me know what you think about
that feature down below in the comment
section. Now, looking at the back of the
tongue, you have your all gray here
instead of the white color like you see
in the inside of the collar. And you
have your white patch with the yellow
Air Jordan branding upside down. This is
going to be a dream cell insole. Not the
best, not the worst. Can't complain. And
then on the sock liner, all white with
the yellow jump man. Now, looking at the
back tab, typically you have your
plastic tab that you see on the Air
Jordan 4s, but we know with the LS
series or man, everybody's waiting for
them Columbia 4s and the Oreo 4s to come
back out, but they, you know, that
leather on the back end and then you had
that plastic jump man right here in the
middle. And then there's actually cool
elements to the details that they have
done and really bringing that leather up
inside and with the stitching and
refining it and really making it a lot
cleaner. I like how they went about this
and the presentation on it. But this is
the other question. We have been in the
middle of the transition of going back
to the old style, giving us Nike Air on
uh retro models that weren't OGs, but
then it's a OG cut, but then the box is
a face box era, and we're trying to
figure out what the difference is
between the two. And some shoes are
getting Nike Air and other shoes aren't
getting Nike Air. So, for this one in
particular, I feel that this is a great
job that they kept this true to the
2006. But again, I understand the side
of people that are saying, "Hey, well,
what if uh we got the Nike Air on this,
right?" Like, and I talked about this
before, like with the Wolf Grey Air
Jordan 5s, how they have the Nike on the
box, but not on the back, and then the
back makes sense why they would put the
Nike on there typically with the
branding and how they go along with
that. Again, another conversation that a
lot of people are kind of confused about
still, but I just wanted to open the
door for the conversation to you guys in
the comment section. Now, it's time to
check the poll results on these bad boys
and see what everybody else thinks.
Obviously, yes, you can tell I bought
the shoe for retail. Wasn't worried
about getting them on sale or catching
them online for the discount, whatever
that may be. I think the shoe is fire.
Let's see what everybody else said. 87%
of the people chose fire and 13% of the
people chose trash. Honestly, that's a
very high rating considering the value
of the shoe online and how people
perceive it. I think this is a prime
example of not only where the shoe game
is at, but the fact that a lot of people
can still like a shoe whether or not
