AI, Fake Miracles, and Private Revelations: Discernment in the Digital Age
Watch on YouTubeVideo summary
The video explores the critical challenge of discerning truth in an era saturated with artificial intelligence and deceptive claims, using a recent viral video of a "miraculous" light beam over the Eucharist in Italy as a primary case study. The host, drawing on his extensive experience with AI tools like voice cloning and image generation, demonstrates how easily supernatural events can be fabricated. By conducting a simple investigation involving frame-by-frame analysis and checking local news sources, he reveals inconsistencies such as inconsistent lighting physics, objects swapping positions, and static backgrounds that betray the video's digital origin. The discussion emphasizes that while believers should maintain a childlike faith in God, this must be balanced with healthy skepticism when evaluating claims made by others online, especially those involving private revelations or miracles that could damage personal faith if proven false.
Beyond specific examples of AI-generated content, the transcript delves into the theological concept of diabolical influence and deception, referencing teachings from Church scholars like Father Gabriel of St. Mary Magdalene. The speakers explain that while the devil cannot perform true miracles—which require power beyond created nature—he can mimic them through feats that exceed human capability but remain within the realm of natural laws or slight-of-hand tricks. These deceptive acts include producing fake visions, simulating levitation, causing bodily phenomena like stigmata or heat, and even mimicking spiritual gifts such as speaking in tongues. The dialogue highlights that these illusions are designed to appear as angels of light, often targeting vulnerable individuals or those seeking answers, thereby leading them away from God's will under the guise of doing good.
The conversation also addresses the financial incentives driving the spread of fake miracles and hoaxes on social media platforms. Creators may fabricate sensational stories about demons, aliens, or mystics to gain views and monetize their content through ad revenue programs, turning spiritual deception into a profitable enterprise. This commercialization is compounded by the fact that many people share these stories without verifying them, relying on emotional reactions rather than logical scrutiny. The hosts argue that even if a source seems reputable or if a story has a kernel of truth, it is irresponsible to share unverified claims that could mislead the faithful. They stress the importance of testing all spirits and doctrines against established Church teaching and common sense, noting that legitimate prophets can still make errors due to human frailty, making verification essential.
Ultimately, the video concludes with a call to action for believers to cultivate a spirit of reasonable skepticism and rigorous investigation before accepting or sharing extraordinary claims. The speakers urge viewers to remember that God is on the throne and that true faith involves testing revelations against Scripture and the Magisterium rather than blindly accepting every new vision or prophecy. By applying these principles, Christians can protect themselves from deception, avoid being manipulated by false narratives, and maintain a clear conscience in their spiritual lives. The episode ends with a reminder of the ultimate victory promised to believers through Christ, encouraging them to stand firm against the ongoing efforts of the enemy to confuse and deceive humanity in the digital age.

The greatest trick [music] the devil
ever pulled was convincing the world he
didn't exist.
>> I didn't know this was a fight. That's
why you're losing. Today we are
beginning [music] either to domesticate
the devil or else to deny him. He is
most [music] powerful when he is denied.
>> Welcome to the devil's in the details.
The devil may be in the details, but God
is on the throne.
>> God is on the throne. God is on the
throne. I'm going to keep doing that
until you get an echo. I don't know if
our editor is ever going to put an echo
in there. Maybe just to get you to
continue doing that.
>> He is capable of doing that.
>> He is very capable.
>> Yeah.
>> Um, so we wanted to We're going to go
back to the Devil in the Castle series.
However, this uh has been on my heart
personally. I just made a video on this
topic.
>> Fake AI.
>> Well, fake miracles.
>> Fake miracles.
>> And you know, I've been working in the
AI field for years now since it came
out. Whether it's generating video,
you'll remember, we won't say who I
whose voices I cloned, messing around,
trying to learn this software, but I've
cloned I've been cloning people's voices
for years,
>> not putting anything out, just for fun,
>> just learning the how all this stuff
works because
>> I saw very early on that this was not
going to go away.
>> Yeah.
>> And as we talked about with Dr. Mary
Ruth Hackett in our our summit, which
you can go find that, I'll put a link to
our our summit vault if you want to
catch those uh talks. Um, Pandora's box
is opened. We're not putting this thing
back in the box. AI is here. It's here
to stay. And if you are not learning how
to discern,
>> you're gonna get fooled.
>> You're gonna get fooled.
>> And it could be devastating to your
faith or the faith of people that are in
your sphere of influence.
>> Yeah.
>> So, can we talk about the most recent
thing that you discovered?
>> Yeah. So, I made a v video recently uh
not to date the show, but uh there is a
image that's floating around. Uh
sometimes the video is floating around
of a supposed mass in Mulfetta, Italy.
Apologies if I'm mispronouncing that
where a blue beam of light is uh
seemingly shining down or from you can't
really tell the eucharistic host
>> as the priest holds it up.
>> As the priest is holding it up and and
in the video it kind of, you know, as a
priest moves from left to right, it
follows the host or you can't really
tell where it's coming from. Anyway, um
I let me let me say I had I not seen the
video and I'd only seen the picture, I'm
not sure that it would have really
triggered my AI spidey sense. I h and
maybe just because I would have swiped
through and saw, "Oh, that's
interesting." and kept swiping. I'm I'm
not usually drawn to those sorts of
things.
>> Yeah.
>> Um but I do want to say that because it
is becoming increasingly more difficult
to discern what's generated and what
isn't. Yeah. right now. The video is
where my spidey senses went off. And
then as I did the normative checking, uh
it became very obvious very quickly.
>> Um and to be clear, I even went this and
this is more I guess more of a practical
way
>> just googling it.
>> Yeah. And I ended up in Italian
newspapers from that area in the diosis
and websites and from that area where it
claims to have happened trying to find
any information even on a outdoor mass
at that time or maybe a procession
because they have those sorts of things.
So anyway, yes, it takes time and
effort, but that's kind of
>> nothing appeared basically.
>> Nothing appeared. Yeah. So I'm I'm
pretty confident in saying that
>> it is entirely AI generated. I'm I'm
still somewhat on the fence whether or
not there was an initial image that was
altered, but based on what I saw, which
I'll link the video, we don't need to
get into it here, but based on what I
saw in the I I just don't buy it at
>> Well, there were there were telltale
signs, [snorts] I think it's worth
talking about.
>> Yeah,
>> cuz you and I looked at it and the beam
doesn't say perfectly over the
Eucharist. So if it's emanating from it,
that would be like having a if you have
a if you have a car light in the dark
and the beam is coming out of the grill
or partly out of the grill instead of
all out of the light.
>> Yeah.
>> So that was there.
>> Well, I'll steal man that. So just so we
come off as totally fair.
>> Yeah.
>> If it's a otherworldly
miracle beam from God.
>> Yeah.
>> I'm not prone to believe that it's going
to necessarily follow physics.
>> Okay. and like subsurface scattering,
right? So, you know, subsurface
scattering is things that I look for
when I'm looking at this kind of stuff,
which is like how light reflects. And I
think subsurface scattering,
particularly with how it reflects off
material and like skin, um there's
another word for it. That's all very
highly technical, but that that one I
would say, okay, I'll I'll put my
skeptical hat aside because if it is a
miracle, it may not it's probably not
going to follow the laws of physics like
incorrupt saints or uh the the um the
blood that liquefies every, you know,
that sort of thing.
>> That being said, buildings can't change
[laughter]
>> and roof lines can't change, investments
can't change uh within the span of a few
seconds without someone changing them.
the video.
>> Yeah, the the crucifix swap sides
multiple times and there's anchor
points. So, you can again Steelman, you
can say
>> um someone Well, maybe they moved it.
Okay. Well, or maybe it's sorry, maybe
it's mirrored. Maybe they mirror the
image.
>> Yeah.
>> Well, the alter boy with glasses,
there's only one is on the same side in
every image in video
>> and he doesn't move. And yet the large
crucifix swap sides multiple times. Um
the the priest is holding a patent and
the host is standing up on its own. And
then on another one he's not holding a
patent and suddenly the host is in his
other hand. It was swapped from left to
right, right to left. The chalice the
the chalice was a bellshape at one point
and then suddenly it's not a bell shape
anymore. It's it's more cylindrical.
>> All these sorts of things that u just
don't make sense. You know, the crowd
doesn't move. There's a lot there's a
lot of stuff. So that's Yeah. So I think
it's important to say both of us believe
in miracles, right?
>> Both of us have experienced miracles and
so it's not about unbelief
and it's about a growing problem that's
going to get worse
of Christians making fools of themselves
>> and believing things that are not true
which could damage their faith.
>> Yeah. And and I would say being taken
advantage of.
>> True. Both. Yeah.
>> I think that's, you know, I think that's
a big because I want to be sensitive
because I know people who and I'm not
saying you're not being sensitive, but I
know really good people who shared it.
>> Yeah.
>> And part of me aches for them because
it's like, well, we shouldn't we have a
childlike faith? Shouldn't we have
wonder? Right. But also test all
spirits. Yeah. So, there's there's just
this fine line. But the childlike faith,
how that works is it's a belief in God.
It's not it's it's a belief in what he's
doing for you, with you, in you,
>> in the context of your life. I I
>> So my application is a little bit off.
That's fair. I'm struggling with it.
>> I don't think it's a big problem what
you're saying. I just think
>> I because I never really had to think
this through,
>> but childlike faith for me has always
been a personal thing. And it's like,
well, is this a miracle or is it not?
It's in my life. This is what happened.
>> And just being prone to believe. A
disposition to believe is very good.
>> I don't think that that applies to the
internet and other people's stuff. I,
you know, like I said, I I haven't
thought this much through, but uh it's
fascinating because when you said maybe
we should talk about this today, I
started to think immediately. I remember
when I was a young Christian, they found
a hole that supposedly had been or I or
>> they dropped a microphone down
>> down it. Yeah. And there was screaming
like from hell.
>> Yeah. Yeah.
>> Like hell is in the middle of the earth
or something, you know.
>> And it was crazy how many people believe
that. And I'm just going really. And
then
>> and it still makes the rounds today
before the show. There's there's one
that uh we talked about on this show of
you know just hoax people. Michael
Warkey is the the big one. He claimed to
be a Satanist. That was in the 80s or
90s and he wrote this book called Satan
Seller and you know all of that. And uh
and then and the the
Focus on the Family was the organization
that picked it up and had him on and all
that. And I'm not criticizing them
because they learned from this. They
actually had this happen several times
and they decide, okay, we're done. We
need to check one, we need to wait, give
it time when people are new, newly
converted. Two, we need to check more
detail in their background. So they so
they did, but initially they had a few
people on that ended up being hoaxes.
>> And this guy was an incredible
storyteller,
but uh but a liar through and through.
And whatever his motives are, there's
there's another one. and I don't want to
mention his name, but supposedly former
Satanist who claims that he's not had to
go through exorcism, you know, um claim
and then claims that he infiltrated all
these churches. And if you just start
doing the math, it's just ridiculous.
There's another one uh a Catholic
um seer mystic uh not too long ago
um was making the rounds in a similar
situation. And all you got to do is
check the math of oh I was here I did
this that and just start doing your
calculations. And look I'm histo I am
chronologically impaired. That means I I
am almost incapable at getting
chronology right. But when you're
writing a book and you're making claims
you either [clears throat] have to or
you're or you're writing articles and
making claims and doing that you either
have to say upfront okay look I I'm you
know terrible about this. So just
recognize some things could be a little
bit out of order. I've been writing a
book myself and and I've made that about
some chronology in my own life. But this
person who was, you know, was supposedly
people are becoming prepper and ready
for, you know, the three days of
darkness and all this other stuff. Just
impossible things. Um there's there's so
that one there's another one a priest.
This that person wasn't a priest.
There's a priest. won't say his name.
>> But real quick, you're not saying that
the three days of darkness is
impossible. You're saying that the
claims in which the person made around
them Yeah. is impossible.
>> Yeah. Around the apocalyptic sort of
>> I had a vision of multiple YouTube
comments. Are you saying you don't
believe? [laughter] No. Um I like what
Taylor Marshall said about three days of
darkness. He said, "Look, I've got a
fire extinguisher in my house. Why not
have three three beeswax candles?" you
know, which I thought was kind of a
funny comment, [laughter] but um so uh
another one, a priest in Canada and just
uh just really bizarre offthe-wall stuff
and and but of course very popular and
and until you get a skeptical thinker
who starts going, "Okay, so if that you
said that, you said this, you said that,
you predicted this, that didn't happen,
you know, and you you just you it starts
to unravel and and I just think that we
need to have we need to be skeptical and
we should never
share
anything like this on the internet in my
opinion unless we've checked it out our
due diligence well and that's where I'll
get a little bit more harsh and not in
this case just in general because I see
this with um quote unquote private
revelation or I I see it more with
writings I I did. You know, I said in
that video, I predicted over a year ago
that this we were going to see more fake
miracles. We're going to see more fake
demonic things as well. By the way, I've
already seen one. I didn't make a video
on that cuz I it died pretty quick. And
that's kind of where my
>> I'm like if I I don't want to bring
attention to something, if it's going to
die on its own, let it go away.
>> But if it starts gaining traction, then
you need to talk about it.
>> Um but yeah, people sharing this stuff
without doing research. We live in a
time where, like I mentioned before, I
was on Italian websites that Google
translated for me in the browser, so I
can search through and see if there was
any type of information. And it took me
I mean, I went deep, but I have an
investigative background anyway.
>> Yeah.
>> So, I'm probably going deeper than most
people would think to, but it took me
less than an hour to find all this
information. just looking through the
video, downloading it, looking at it
frame by frame, going and looking, okay,
did this actually happen? Can I find it?
Here's a here's an easy one for you.
What is the source? So, if you Google
like in this instance, uh, Eucharistic
Miracle, Lightbeam, if you want to go
hyper specific, Mulfetta, Italy,
>> yeah,
>> you're going to see that the only things
that are floating around on this
>> is Facebook groups,
>> right?
>> Catholic Facebook groups. I'm using air
quotes because we don't know. Uh, and
they're copy pasting the same caption.
>> Yeah.
>> And it's always the same uh video. It's
always the same image.
>> Yeah.
>> Okay. Well, let's think logically.
>> But it doesn't say dascese of reports.
>> It doesn't say in front of which church.
>> Yeah.
>> Let's think logically. If there was
thousands of people there.
>> Yeah.
>> Why would we not should we not have
hundreds of videos? Maybe 20. How about
20 different videos? You're telling me
that thousands of people saw that and we
only have one angle and it's the one
angle that's being shared
>> right with today with iPhones. You
kidding me? Right. There'd have been
there would have been a thousand videos
and pictures out there and it had been
exploding like crazy.
>> EW10 would have picked it up. Life would
have picked I mean
>> so that's I'm picking on this video
because it's it's most recent. This is
the same thing that happens with various
private revelations which are a little
bit harder to to dig through but as you
mentioned
>> or people's stories you know doing the
timeline where so this is this is a
talking about what the enemy does for
deception. I think in this case this is
a money grab. I don't necessarily think
it was malicious. I think that people
know that if you post on Facebook and
it's interesting enough especially to a
niche group of people like Catholics and
they spread it like crazy that person
just got a payday.
>> Mhm. So, it's disingenuous. It's
dishonest. I'm not
>> And just so folks don't understand, what
do you mean payday? Why? How?
>> Uh, so all these social media platforms,
Facebook, Twitter, you name it. Uh, if
you if you get a lot of uh plays, so
people are sharing it and it goes to
more people, gets played more times,
it's more viewed, you get paid,
>> so they'll pay you. Like I get I don't I
actually personally don't get any money
from it. It all goes to the high calling
program. It's all donated to the high
calling program. even on Instagram if
people watch my videos for I don't know
how they calculate it but I get these
emails it's like hey you got 25 cents
today [laughter]
came to that program but you get paid so
there so there's a financial incentive
for these things to be made now
this isn't new so when we were talking
about I'm shifting here and and if you
want me to go back or if you want to
pause or whatever let me know but when
we were coming over to the studio
talking about this I mentioned mentioned
um how
there are you know the [gasps]
the enemy can appear as an angel of
light.
>> Yeah.
>> And scripture says to test all spirits.
>> Yeah.
>> And we should have a nature of uh
healthy skepticism.
>> Mhm.
>> What does that look like? We're
commanded to in scripture, which is why
it says test every spirit. Test all the
spirits. Says there are doctrines of
demons. It says there's deception. You
know, all that. So scripture is very
clear inspired by the Holy Spirit. Don't
just believe everything you hear. Test
the spirits. It's interesting. One of
the cases too that I thought about which
or you mentioned at first I can't
remember but also came to mind was one
with John of the Cross and you had this
poor Clare nun who was supposedly living
only on the Eucharist. And the church
had John of the Cross investigated and
>> because they were rightfully skeptical,
right? And he determined she was
possessed.
>> Yeah. that it wasn't it wasn't true.
>> Right.
>> So you you
>> which which by the way I got to pause
you there. Yeah.
>> We have some Catholic commentators out
there who say if you take the Eucharist
>> which and I don't want to I got to be
careful how I say this.
>> We've said many times the normative
means of protecting yourself from the
enemy is having a healthy sacramental
life including partaking in the
Eucharist, including going to
confession, all those sorts of things.
That is true.
>> Yeah. But it is also true that you can
be possessed and take the Eucharist.
>> Yes. That's a whole different issue. But
of course, you know, I've been in a mass
with a pos fully possessed person.
>> That was Yeah, I was there. It was very
recent.
>> Right. [laughter] Right. Right. So God
God have mercy on them. But yeah, no,
you can you can Yeah. So it just and I I
just have to say I think that
you know given like that situation there
are some media outlets one in particular
who sensationalizes everything.
>> Yeah.
>> There are some podcast personalities who
sensationalize everything. Why do you
give time to that stuff? I mean, just
all you all you got to do is check the
headline and go, "Oh, you know, is is
that really what happened?" And I've
done that and oh, wow. But I what what
is shocking to me is that there are
people who say they are devout Catholics
who blatantly
lie.
>> Yeah.
>> Blatantly lie in headlines. Blatantly
lie in the thing. And some are deceived.
That's different. They're not as
culpable.
>> And and for people who maybe this is
their first episode, you know, news
probably better than any
>> I used to run the largest news Catholic
news organization in the world,
>> right?
>> You know, so yeah, I
>> it's worth it's worth saying.
>> Yeah. No, I knew and I you know I I and
I can one of the reasons I'm not as
easily deceived by AI is my healthy
skepticism from probably from that job.
But I've always had I've always had a
test every spirit sort of thing. And and
you know at the same time, you know, I
saw miracles very early as a Christian.
I've been healed. I've seen the demonic
experiences demonic, been in exorcisms,
all that. So I've seen all this
supernatural stuff. Um, but yet and and
I guess I just know
have this sense of wait, you know, some
somebody
said the other day
um and I I got to be careful about how I
say this, but somebody said the other
day that the blessed mother said X
>> and what was conveyed to me came from a
very devout person
reasonably discerning
um from a seer. Someone is considered as
a seer or a mystic or whatever. And I
said, "I don't believe she said that."
>> Yeah.
>> And the person like, "What do you call
that?" I like I like everyone's huh
>> fell out.
>> They stalled out.
>> Blue. It's the Windows blue screen.
[laughter]
>> It was like they went
>> You just said that.
>> Yeah. But this but this but but you know
right
>> and I'm like yeah I just said it. I
don't believe she said that right
>> now. What's interesting about that is I
believe the seer that was in question
has actually said true things.
>> Why would I think but but if they say
true things don't
>> that's the danger of our time man. It's
so dark.
>> Yeah. But but go follow this logic.
Can someone who's a legitimate prophet
of God say things that are wrong?
>> Yeah.
>> Yeah. That bec we're imperfect beings.
This is one of the reasons why Teresa
Babala warned in the Interior Castle and
it's in the book we're we're going
through right now.
>> Not today, but in
>> not today. But she said, "If you get a
vision and Jesus is standing in front of
you and tells you to do something and
it's contrary to what your spiritual
director told you to do, do what your
spiritual director told you to do." Why
would she say that? Because she knows
the human person is just has an infinite
capacity for self-d delusion. Infinite
capacity to believe lies is basically
what that means, right? And and what is
tangible in front of you should have
greater weight in holiness because your
your spiritual director is holy, devout
Catholic, right? You're a devout
Catholic. The tangible stuff in front of
you, I can taste, touch, smell, feel, I
can touch your skin. I can hear that is
far less likely to deceive you than
something that's that that's in a v a
super of supernatural origin.
>> Right. Right. Well, in our own human
psychology, which is perpetually
justifying our own uh emotional
reactions. I've been reading a bunch of
books on this and talking about it in
different places and yeah. So,
[laughter] yeah, we have to be very very
careful. Um, so do you want to get into
I pulled out visions and revelations
from father Gabriel of St. Mary
Magdalene because in the back of the
book there's an appendix and it's it's
titled other pastoral considerations in
the discernment of visions and
revelations and I always found and this
is from Aman theology of Christian
perfection which is a a long kind of
renown
>> Jordan Alman yeah
>> how do you pronounce it
>> or Alman
>> Alman okay
>> yeah he was at the angelicum in Rome
trained the Dominicans brilliant
>> so you know the book I've I've said that
this book is worth the price alone just
for this appendix.
>> Yeah. And this now so
the the theology of Christian perfection
was both Jordan Alman and uh Antonio
Royo Marin OP who's also famous for
uh his excellent work on the realm of
mysticism.
>> Yeah.
>> Uh and they are believers by the way.
They're they're scholars, academics.
They're both uh Dominican priests and
God rest their souls but they are
believers in these things.
>> So
>> um so the first rules for discernment of
mystical phenomenon uh they say the the
following norms are offered as rules by
which the spiritual director may be
guided in the discernment of spirits so
far as it pertains to revelations and
prophecies. I I guess the the context
here is how do you navigate what's true
and what's false? Right. Is that
>> the easy oneline, you know, elevator
pitch?
>> Oh, you want me to read the first one?
>> Sure.
>> Any revelation contrary to faith and
morals must be rejected as false. God
does not contradict himself. So, this is
an interesting one. Um, so the question
of aliens
is is if you
>> That's a whole show. That's a whole
show. People ask for that.
>> But but in general, just ask one simple
question. What are they teaching? If
there's alien human contact, what's the
message the person got?
>> Right. Uh, and if they got this message
of, oh, I was just I'm going to go to
heaven and I, you know, I don't have any
religion, but I'm fine.
>> Yeah. You know what? I'm marking that
down because there's a particular name.
I believe his name is Chris Bledsoe.
>> Uhhuh.
>> And what he teach, he has a massive
following. What he teaches on aliens and
faith
>> is I I I will say purely demonic. It is
it's and it's [snorts] crazy. And I know
people have asked about about that. So,
I'm writing that down and maybe that's
like a teaser for people listening. But
anyway, so the second one,
>> any revelation contrary to the common
teaching of the theologians or
purporting to settle an argument among
the schools of theology should be held
gravely suspect. Most authors maintain
that it must be rejected. Pope Benedict
16th while while referring to both
opinions does not settle the question.
meaning if you have okay is Mary uh
co-mediatrics [snorts] or or or is that
an inappropriate title for her or or
something a disputed question that's
never been resolved by the magisterium.
If you have a a vision or a revelation
that solves that it it should be held as
under skepticism.
>> Right. Okay. Um, three, just because one
aspect of the revelation is found to be
false does not serve as grounds to
reject the entire revelation. The
remainder of which or the remainder of
what is revealed can be possibly
authentic.
>> See, this is this is this is what I was
referring to earlier.
>> You know, there are some people who will
look at certain modern revelations or
modern mystical things, and I'm not big
into any of this stuff at all. So, I'm I
don't have a dog in the hunt. I'm I'm uh
I sort of just follow the church. If
it's not condemned, fine. Go do what you
want. But I you're not going to find me
going with you or hanging out and
looking into it. I don't need everything
in our faith that we need to get to
heaven is already present.
>> Yeah.
>> I don't need any new revelations. I'm
not saying they're bad,
>> right?
>> Um I do pray, you know, I do pray in
accordance with Fatima every day. So,
you know, private revelations have
affected me, but um but I just don't,
you know, they need to be vetted before
you're going to find me running around
with them. But that said, there are
people who uh as an example
who say, well, uh let's just use Mugoria
as an example. Well, this one thing was
false, so everything must be false. and
that it's just not the way the church
thinks about these things because it
understands
>> that the human person is is frail in its
interpretation or whatever. And so they
could say some things that are true and
some things that are not,
>> right? I don't know if we need to go
through all of these initial ones
because they're talking about
discernment sorts of things. I think
more appropriate to what we're talking
about is probably moving on to two
>> the diabolical influence
>> and people should should go to Sophia
Institute Press and buy this book
anyway.
>> Yeah. visions and revelations by father
Gabriel of St. Mary Magdalene who used
to be the director of the tricanum in
Rome before the second Vatican council
which was like the spiritual formation
center of the universe at one time.
>> And by the way you can also get it on
sanctify s a i n t i fi.com and listen
to it if you
>> that's an amazing service.
>> It is actually
>> I think I think our
>> we haven't talked about it in a while so
I had to throw that in there.
>> I think most of my books if not all of
them are on audio. They're all available
through and if you subscribe you you get
access to whatever you want. Yeah. So,
I'll tell you. Sorry, guys. I know this
is such a a forced ad. I didn't mean for
it to be. I literally just bought three
more credits for Audible today, even
though I get monthly credits, and I get
I think three a month, but I go through
so many books.
>> Yeah.
>> Um, with Sanifi, it's it's one time. You
pay you get as many books as you want.
Right.
>> So, it's it is
>> No, it's a subscription though, isn't
it? Once
>> it Yes. Yeah. Yeah. I'm sorry. You pay
your your subscription,
>> your monthly,
>> but you get as many books as you want.
Your subscription. Yeah. I'm not buying
extra credits or anything like that. So,
all right. So into diabolical influence
which is kind of more on point of what
we're we're talking about here with you
know whether it's the AI whether it's
the discerning the mystical revelations
or private revelations or whatever um
they start with the study of
predinatural is so vast and complicated
that a thorough treatment of the subject
would take us far beyond the scope of
our present work. We shall content
ourselves with the enumeration of the
main points of theological doctrine
concerning diabolical influence and
refer the reader to other works which
treat the subject in greater detail. So
uh long story short, it's such an
complicated and vast topic that this is
only a precursor.
>> Um so they talk about devil being real.
Two is with God's permission the devil
can exercise an evil influence over men
even to the extent of invading and
tormenting them in bodily manner. We
know that Padre Pio St. John Viani
that's all obvious should be obvious to
all of us. Three in the midst of the
assaults of the devil man's will always
remains free because the will can be
moved only in two ways. So it goes into
that. Um the good angels and devils can
intrinsically act upon the imagination
and this is the key.
>> Yes. The good angels and devils can
intrinsically act upon the imagination
and other internal and external senses
because these are all organic powers and
the devil has power to exercise his
influence on anything material. And I
think I can say unequivocally this has
been my greatest experience. My the most
common experience in my life of the
demonic
has been to try to divide me from
somebody else by twisting an
interpretation
even in my own mind changing words
>> in a text or in an email or whatever
>> um than any other
>> right
>> kind of diabolical influence I've
experienced. But this also means that
anything material, light,
>> yeah,
>> air,
>> yeah,
>> smell,
anything material can be manipulated.
>> Which is [clears throat] why, as you
said, it's the key because when we're
talking about being discerning, there
may be in the future some miracle blue
beam that comes down and and you know,
lands on the Eucharist and it's not
clearly an AI video. You still have to
be skeptical and you still have to test
that
>> and see because the enemy can appear as
an angel of light and can manipulate
these things.
>> And the key to you keep saying this and
I think it probably worth some
extrapolation or expanding I mean is he
can work as an angel of light which is
something that St. Paul revealed in the
New Testament. uh meaning and and
spiritual writers and teachers over the
years have interpreted that as saying
that
when you are a person of good will and
moving from good to better, that's
actually more likely what he's going to
do is try to convince you to do good
things that are not God's will.
>> Yes. Well, and uh and maybe I'm maybe
I'm giving a little bit more broad of a
definition than initially intended, but
you think of all these people who have
been involved in the occult and they're
looking for some sort of answer
>> and something presents itself as oh this
will solve it. It presents as a good.
>> Yeah.
>> That is not a good.
>> Yeah.
>> Right. So there's there's that reality
too.
>> Yeah.
>> Um it's just you know the norm normal
deception.
>> So five this is interesting. The devils
cannot work through miracles because the
definition of a miracle surpasses the
power of all created nature. But since
the angelic powers far surpass human
powers, the devils can perform
predigious feats which arouse men's
admiration so far as they exceed the
power of knowledge of human beings.
The devil can create fake miracles is
essentially what that's saying. Well,
can't
>> Well, I'm using miracle, you know, with
the
>> the devils cannot work through miracles
because the mira but since angelic
powers far the devils can perform feats
which arouse man's admiration as far as
they exceed the power of knowledge or of
what can be done right.
>> Yeah, I see what you're saying.
>> So, there are limitations which is this
is also super helpful. Um,
by some reason of by some reason of or
sorry, by reason of some contradiction
involved or because they surpass the
power of an angelic being, the devils
cannot do the following. Produce any
kind of truly supernatural phenomenon
because the sup because the supernatural
by definition exceeds all natural
creative powers. That's going to confuse
some people.
it it they're they're def they're
defining a true miracle
>> in ma in you know slight of hand
actually is probably better way to say
it
>> right
>> the slight of hand is I'm making it look
like this thing
>> what some people may think is a miracle
but it's not actually it's just slight
of hand
>> um the devils cannot create a substance
because creation requires an infinite
power and no creature of any kind can be
used even as an instrument of creation
>> so can I summarize all Yeah. Yeah. Go
for it.
>> They can twist or distort what is, but
they can't create
>> right
>> new. They can't really heal.
>> Right.
>> Um I'll I'll pull
>> Somebody's going to say, "Well, but how
but I've heard of people being healed
by a demonic power." And the answer is,
well, how do you know what the diagnosis
was before they were healed? So, you
know, if they're suffering all kinds of
pain, how do you know that the the pain
wasn't caused by the demon? I was about
to say that's actually been documented
in multiple cases,
>> has it?
>> Yeah. Where the enemy will create some
sort of illness in the person, persuade
them to go to like a Reiki or something
like that in order to get those claws in
deep,
>> right? To to to deceive the person and
believing certain kinds of, you know,
it's interesting you say this and it's
this is another thing with with
people who come out of yoga and have
testimonies. This is one of the most
common mistake they make. The yogi said
therefore,
>> right?
>> And and you know the yogi said it had
power or whatever. I give a
>> right
>> you know blank what the yogi said,
>> right?
>> He doesn't know what he's talking about.
He's deceived.
>> It's interesting as m in so much as it
teaches or it reveals what they believe.
>> Yeah.
>> But it shouldn't be held as truth
because it is deception. you know, um,
the devil cannot know the secrets of a
person's mind and heart since the devil
does not by his own power have access to
the human intellect and will. But
obviously people think, well, what about
the sermon of spirits? If you have a
demon, a a being that has been following
you around since you were born, knows
every single intricate thing about you,
every detail, every movement, like a
superhuman computer.
>> Yeah.
>> Uh, they can intuitit things and suggest
things and whisper in your ear.
>> Yeah. So that's why we say not every
thought is your own because you know
when this is also maybe I'm going a
little bit off the off the rail here but
you can you can rein me in. It's not
it's not saying
it's not saying they can't suggest
things to you in your mind.
>> They can.
>> Which they can. It's more so that like
if you're thinking something
doesn't mean that they can read your
thoughts.
>> That's right. they can observe and and
and deduce and they can, you know, if
you want to get a good comparison of
that, you think of
>> of uh what is what is that sleuth um
series uh Watson and
>> Sherlock Holmes.
>> Yeah.
>> So, if you think of Sherlock Holmes as
as the greatest, you know, detective
ever. I know he's mythical, but
>> that's one of my all-time favorite
books.
>> Amazing power to detuce
things. Well, a demon can do that times
a million.
>> A billion. Yeah, that's that's really
what it is. Okay, so I'm going to skip
ahead. This is this is what's really
important for people. I think all this
has been important, but this is really
kind of brass tax.
>> Here's what the enemy can falsify.
Uh produce corporeal or imaginative
visions, but not intellectual visions.
So, they can create visions. They can
falsify ecstasy. Produce rays of light
in the body and sensible heat. There
have been examples of what is called
diabolical incandescent.
They can cause sensible constellations
and tenderness. They can instantaneously
cure strain sicknesses which have been
caused by diabolical influence which we
already talked about. They can produce
the stigmata and all other kinds of
bodily extraordinary phenomenon and any
phenomenon dealing with physical objects
such as crowns, rings, etc. They can
simulate miracles in the phenomenon of
levitation by location and uh co
competent. I don't know that word.
What's What's this one right here? My
ignorance.
>> Co-penetration of bodies. Yeah.
>> All right. Uh cause person or objects to
disappear from sight by placing an
obstacle in the line of the vision or
acting directly on the sense of sight.
Um produce bodily incombustibility by
interposing some medium between the fire
and the body of the individual. Anyway,
some of that gets a little bit out
there, but
>> you know, the last thing I want to talk
just mention as we we're probably going
to wrap this up now is uh they can
produce
uh the gift of tongues, which is I
shouldn't say I said that wrong. So,
they can produce a a a manifestation of
tongues because that's I heard that for
the first time when we were together at
that mass. that person I was dealing
with them with a priest after the mass
and they spoke in a language that they
didn't understand nor did I was clearly
a language I want to just say publicly
here because I know many people have
heard Father Riper say that um you know
this is one of the signs of demonic
possession and and and it and it is but
it is nothing
remotely like what I've heard in uh
charismatic circles No, I'm not saying I
don't speak in tongues, but I'm not
against it.
>> You're also not giving a green light to
what's happening there as well. You're
just saying I'm neutral. Yeah, I'm
neutral. I believe in the gifts, you
know,
>> but wow, is there a difference, right? A
huge difference.
>> Uh, and quite a chilling difference
actually the the from what I heard. But
anyway, so back to the whole point of
this show from the beginning, we started
with AI.
Um,
please stop sharing this stuff. Uh,
you're really are you're you're just
sharing deception.
Uh, if it looks legit and you want to
share it, um, go find out, you know, if
it's real or not. Go do an exploration
on and and but don't just share it even
if it's from a reputable so-called
reputable source. Uh, so just be
cautious. Scripture says over and over,
"Test all things and hold fast to that
which is true."
>> Yeah. Yeah. So, um, yeah, I couldn't say
any better. I think we know that the
devil is real. We know that he is
constantly trying to deceive us, whether
that is in our personal lives with
relationships or whatever.
>> And humans are constantly looking to
deceive one another, right? All kinds of
reasons.
>> Yes. And we also deceive ourselves. And
so in terms of
>> our batting average for truth is really
really low [laughter]
>> and so we should be as skeptical as is
reasonable and um
>> yeah and so before you say our last last
words visions and revelations by father
Gabriel St. Mary Magdalene published by
Sophia Institute Press uh if you'd
rather uh get a digital copy of the book
uh and get access to thousands of other
books.
>> That's right. It's not just audiobooks.
They do digital.
>> Yeah.
>> Like Kindle.
>> Yeah.
>> Within the app.
>> Saintifi. S A I N T I Fi.com.
All
>> right. Romans 16:20. The God of peace
will sh soon crush Satan under your
feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be
with you.
>> Amen.
