Magneto Juan Kenobi? Doom is so vicious, man. That kid's looking to breastfeed off his mom. Oh my god, we got we got the female Black Panther, Black Pantheress. It's too much to take in. There's the kid from Thor Love and Thunder. Everybody loves Thor Love and Thunder. CYCLOPS! [screaming] HOLY [ __ ] he's aura farming hard. Oh my good luck, Doom. You have stretch guy, you have lightning guy. Yeah, take him down, Thor. Watch this. SEE YOU. WHAT? NO! WHAT? OH MY Holy [ __ ] IT'S ALL OF THOSE SENTINELS! FAN CASTER! YES! OH MY [ __ ] YES! CARNAGE! MHM. >> [laughter] >> I got chills, they're multiplying. I just came. [music] Haters will say that reaction wasn't genuine. And they'd be right. Listen, trailer reaction videos are are pretty pointless and I think completely fake for the most part. You might find some people that are genuinely insane and go like ape [ __ ] for every shot of a freaking slap fest movie, but I myself um I'm a grown ass man who just pretends to do that. Which is somehow is somehow worse. Anyway, thoughts on Doomsday for real. I've I've made it no secret that I think this is going to be a complete train wreck and I I think it's kind of desperation what they're doing. Not that it matters because at the end of the day this movie's going to gross an insane amount of money. It'll probably be the highest grossing movie of all time. Disney knows what they're doing for the most part. They brought back all the fan favorites. They even brought back fan favorites that never were fan favorites like Cyclops. But you know, since we have revisionist history going on, everyone's like, "Oh my god, James Marsden was the best. He was such a great Cyclops in the original trilogy where he barely did anything." And I'm not even knocking him. I liked Marsden as Cyclops, but he was never like an iconic cool character in those films. He was sidelined every time. And I think he's going to come back and die right away along with Professor X for like the eighth time, Magneto. Like these old dogs are not going to stick around for this film very long, which is unfortunate. But also, I think it's pretty obvious when you just saw today that they announced all the new class of X-Men who are all like in their 20s. They're very young and they make me feel old as dirt. And so as they say, out with the old and in with the new. We're probably going to get Hugh Jackman in here as Wolverine again who will probably be killed off for the second or third or fourth time. Uh Deadpool will probably get killed off or maybe he'll live off in the ether cuz he's such a fourth wall-breaking character. I just think this is really going to be a restructuring period for the MCU. They're going to wipe out a lot of these people and we are going to focus on Spider-Man, on Jean Grey, on the X-Men new class situation, and not so much Captain America after this run or Thor for that matter. As for Robert Downey Jr.'s doom, I still don't buy it. I think he's a variant of Tony Stark. I think there's going to be some sort of a connection that he has with the other timeline, whatever that might be. Uh I don't really have much interest in a lot of the other cast members that are in this thing. I thought Wakanda Forever was horrible. I like the first Black Panther quite a bit, but the sequel was just it just felt rushed. It felt like they didn't know what to do after they lost T'Challa. Chadwick Boseman was fantastic as that character. It was such a tragedy, but they really should have thought it through a little bit more because what they did with that sequel was not good at all. And now to kind of double dip on that and to double dip on some of these other things that people didn't like such as Thor Love and Thunder bringing the daughter into the mix. We have Cassie Lang back. She was awful in Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. There's just a lot of these characters that mean nothing to me. That said, I didn't mind Fantastic Four. I thought that was a pretty good time. I also thought Thunderbolts was pretty cool. So, seeing those guys, that's fine. I'm I'm I'm I'm fine with all of that. Not necessarily necessary though. It is unfortunate we could never get Blade off the ground 7 years later since it was announced or however long it's been. So, no Blade in this. Probably not going to see a single Eternal in this movie. They've essentially wiped that film from the existence of the MCU outside of a bizarre plot point in Captain America: Brave New World where that Celestial is still coming out of the [ __ ] ocean. [laughter] My prediction is not that of my own. It's not wholly unique in the slightest, but since this is a two-part situation, I think we're going to see the death of a lot of characters. It's going to be another one of those deals where Doom rises and then in the next film Doom's going to fall. They have to take him down and you know, it's kind of the same old hat again. I'm I'm pretty burnt out on superhero stuff. It can still work very well for me. I love the last Spider-Man movie. I thought that was a great time. Ton of fun. Some excellent drama makes sense. A plot that wasn't so childish like the last one. And so while I'm not high on this trailer for Doomsday, there is there is a possibility it could work. We got Shang-Chi in the mix again. I liked him. We got We got Gambit. Everybody wanted Ch- Channing Tatum's Gambit back, even though he was played as a joke in the Deadpool and Wolverine movie. What is happening? What timeline am I in anymore? Where things and characters used to be a joke and played for laughs are now played as a straight man's character. When did this happen? It's a great question I just asked myself rhetorically, but I don't really have an answer. I just know this. Uh this Doomsday special edition first look, second look, third look thing, it's uh it's doing a little bit more for me because I like Sentinels. And I'm a simple man. I see Sentinels. I see my old X-Men. That's something. That's a I don't even know how they fit into the MCU. That's the other thing that still boggles my mind. Can they pretend at this point that the Fox movies are under the umbrella of the MCU? Does that even make any sense? I guess because of the multiverse, it does. They can just claim it now and go, "Oh yeah, that's been going on the whole time in our shared universe expanded edition multiversal nonsense [ __ ] We can pull them in now and their stories still existed outside of the continuity of ours. Badabing badaboom badapinus." It's all It's all fitting together perfectly. Now all we need is for Thanos to come out of one of those portals, tip the hat to Doctor Doom, team up, "I'm back. Here to balance the world once again. Remember this? Now we're going to get you. Here we come." All right, there you have it. My thoughts on the special look of Doomsday trailer.
