Video summary
The video centers on a discussion regarding personal experiences of spiritual warfare, specifically focusing on an individual named Abendigo who claims to have encountered demonic entities. The speaker shares several anecdotes from his life where he felt the presence of oppressive forces or voices commanding him to leave certain areas, such as when he heard a voice say "Get out" while sitting alone in his house before his mother arrived. He describes instances involving witchcraft and false prophets who allegedly caused physical manifestations like being thrown out of one's body or experiencing intense fear and paranoia. Despite these unsettling events, the speaker emphasizes that he maintained control over his faculties and did not lose consciousness, attributing this resilience to his faith rather than a lack of spiritual attack.
A significant portion of the conversation addresses the distinction between genuine supernatural encounters and mental health issues or deceptions by false prophets. The speaker acknowledges that while demons may be real, many people misinterpret psychological conditions like paranoia or bipolar disorder as demonic activity due to their own fears or lack of biblical grounding. He argues that relying on feelings, personal experiences, or charismatic leaders without returning to the scriptures often leads individuals astray into deception. Instead, he advocates for a approach where believers test all spirits and events against the Word of God, noting that true spiritual power is found in trusting Christ rather than chasing miraculous signs or obsessing over demonic theories which can distract from one's daily walk with God.
The dialogue concludes by reinforcing the importance of focusing on biblical truth as the ultimate standard for discernment rather than subjective experiences or emotional reactions. The speaker asserts that regardless of whether an event was a miracle, a mental episode, or a genuine spiritual attack, the proper response is to resist evil and draw close to God through prayer and scripture reading. He warns against becoming obsessed with demons or seeking validation from supernatural occurrences, suggesting that such obsessions often stem from leaning on something other than God's power. Ultimately, both parties agree that maturity in faith involves trusting God's promises found in the Bible over personal sensations, ensuring that believers remain grounded in truth rather than being swept away by deceitful spirits or their own fears.

There we go. So, how you doing, my
friend?
>> Doing good. Doing good. Doing good. How
are you?
>> I'm good.
>> I got All right. So, you can hear me
well.
>> I can hear you.
>> Yeah. Sometimes my microphone's a little
weird. Um, also I have acid reflux, so
if I burp, it's not me being mean or
rude, but it's just uh what it goes. You
hit a lot of topics, but um what I'm
here basically for is the Abendigo
thing. The I have some experiences I'd
like to have you analyze as all.
>> Okay. Sure. Um, but I do want to first
say that it seems that if this is your
guy, if this is drama between you two,
um, then we're in good shape because it
doesn't seem like you guys are yelling
at each other. It doesn't seem like
you're being hateful or angry. Um, you
might you might have some honest
feelings that you guys express, but
nothing's been cutting. You know, it's
not like you're typing constantly in in
capital letters to each other. There's
no hatred. [laughter]
It seems like it seems like you're all
gentle. It seems like you guys are at
least performing certain things in
kindness. I don't know how genuine
everybody is in involved, but if this is
like as as bad as it gets, then that
that's this is a good thing cuz I I
would expect I would expect there to
just be visceral, but it there doesn't
it doesn't seem to be any of it. So, I I
appreciate that. I can't say the same
about some of the comments or or some of
the um some of the people who are
watching you. I can't say that about
some of the some of the um public, but I
can at least say it seems like you both
are handling it rather maturely, which
is which is very good.
>> I agree with you.
>> Yeah, it's actually inspiring. It's good
to see because I I watch a lot of
debates and people just people just talk
to win. They don't they don't talk to
learn or to help, you know? It doesn't
seem like they're actually sincere. It's
more like a business. So, it's just it's
kind of sad to see, especially when you
taught the name of God or the name of
truth in philosophy. Um, where you're
just trying to win up on somebody and um
it's just I mean, you might as well
watch a cartoon if you want
entertainment, you know, because there's
no there's no good in this. It's just
tearing down someone to tear down
someone. But, so my experience when I
was a kid, I still think I was um I
still think I was saved during this
time, but I had a sickness that came
over me. It was a cold. Um, and I had
prayed that God would get rid of it. And
the next day it had gotten really bad
and it was just oppressive out of
nowhere. It was just really deep. Um, my
my dad was a um a charismatic. He's
still a charismatic. I'm not
charismatic. Um, I think you've you've
had some some situations with
charismatic. So, you know, there can be
a lot of deception. Um, and even
spiritual warfare that that that shows
itself pretends to be like the Holy
Spirit or something. Um but and my mom's
a Baptist so it's like direct opposites
really just really funny. Um they did
work together together well for a little
bit. Um but anyway so he prayed over me
in tongues. I don't really stand very
strongly on tongues. My experiences have
been different ever since. But um he was
praying over me and I felt him rebuke it
is what I felt. and I felt this thing
that was on me cower down after he had
prayed and then leave. And so that was
my first experience with something being
on me. Um, and I do I do still believe I
was a Christian at that point. Uh, fast
forward, I had prayed to be with this
girl. God said no. Um, there was a witch
that got involved. I didn't know she was
a witch until later on discerning. She
had pretended to be like a false
prophetess or whatever. And you know how
witchcraft is, it can cause a lot of
weird things to happen. I don't know how
much experiences you have had with
witchcraft, but um very real if you get
into it. Very very very important that
you there's a lot of people pretending,
but there are other people that they're
not pretending. Um so she she did some
things like read my thoughts and
different things like that. But um
[snorts]
uh she had given this false prophecy to
this girl and when I when I heard it um
I was like at a very low point but I let
something in. Um and I later had talked
to somebody else about it who she wasn't
a Christian but she had the same
experience when her dad left her. Um she
got such to a such a low point in her
life that she just let something in. And
ever since she did that, her experience
was that it would throw her out of her
body. So she'd watch herself live for a
little while and it called itself a
different name than hers, a little
longer of a so she hated that part. So
she never wanted anyone to say her full
name because of that. But she would come
back in. She didn't know what it was.
She thought she was crazy. She didn't
want to share it with people because it
would make her look crazy. Um, but I had
the same experience of letting something
in. But the problem was is that I didn't
have the experience of losing
consciousness or or faculty in my body.
Um I believe it's because I was saved.
Um but I did have a lot of oppressive
thoughts. I did have a lot of like bad
moods or bad feelings. Um it since is
gone. It does follow me around. I had
prayed um to have God sort of illuminate
that verse about um Paul's thorn in his
flesh. I do believe it it's demonic
because I still had that same experience
where this thing was given to me for a
time and God allowed it to become close
to me um just to answer that type of
prayer and show me what what he meant
through it. Now that's my own personal
experience. I don't expect people to
just accept it biblical truth. I do
think that when especially when it comes
to spiritual experiences, uh because
there are so many liars out there and
people that are garnering attention and
followers that you pray about it and you
seek God and you go back to the
scriptures um because the Bible is the
only sure ground you have because like
you were talking about there's false
prophets and eventually there's going to
be false miracles and you got to know
your God. Um otherwise you might get
swept away by the deceitfulness. So,
it's just it's that kind of a thing
where I had those two experiences where
I was very close to a demon and I still
had control over it. It never like took
over my my sensibilities. I could send
it away. I could I sent it to this one
um witch because she was saying that she
was she was pretending to be something
powerful. I was trying to I was trying
to explain Jesus. Um and in because she
was pretending to be powerful, I'm like,
"Look, I'll just send you this thing and
you tell me if you can get rid of it."
and she, you know, came back with her
boyfriend and they said, "Hey, get it
out of my house. Get it out of my
house." So, it was stuff like that where
and I wasn't convicted, but I don't
think I was sinning in and doing that
kind of stuff, but it just shows you
that I still had authority over the
thing, but I was just close to it.
>> So, the these these would be examples of
some sort of demonic incursion in your
life or on your life, right?
>> Absolutely.
>> Now, um I do not say that demons aren't
real. and things don't happen. Heck,
there are times where I can say, "Man,
what was that?" I I I'll never forget, I
I have no answer for this, and I don't
try to make it out to be a demon, but
I'll never forget. I was one day I was
at home, and I was a young man, a young
man, a young boy. Uh I was in fourth
grade. So, what would that make me? 10,
11? I don't know. How old are you in
fourth grade? If I can think of the
year, whatever, whatever, whatever you
are. I think what are you 10, 11? I'm
11. I think. No, no, I'm sorry. The
beginning of fifth grade. So, I was
whatever. Anyway, at this time, we went
we would go home and open the door
ourselves and wait there till our
parents got home. Sometimes uh one of us
would cook something if my if if if my
mother pulled something out, put this in
the oven, set it on this. Bam. So, I'm
in the house. My brother Chris is not
there. I don't know where he is. I don't
know. My mother had has not come home
yet. I'm sitting in the house and I hear
this voice say, "Get out." I heard her
say it twice. You know what I did? I got
out and my mother comes around the
corner. She's coming up. She said, "What
are you doing outside?" I said, "I'm I
heard somebody say, "Get out." So, I got
out. She said, "Boy, nobody in the
house." And so, she so I said, "No, mom.
I'm not going back in the house." My
mother went in the house.
Um, now my mama had had a gun. So, if
somebody was in there, somebody was
getting shot. My mother said, "Boy, get
your butt in here." You know what I did?
I got in the house. You know what I
didn't think about? Whatever it was that
said it. I got in the house, did what
she told me to do, clean up something or
whatever, and started watching TV.
I don't know what that was, if it was
anything. I know this, the mind is the
most inconsistent thing ever known to
human man. I mean, humankind.
Uh, one moment is steady, the next
moment is all over the place. and we
can't figure it out. You have
neurologists and and brain surgeons and
those who who who study this like it's
just it's hard to figure out why we do
things or why we see things. Um there
really is a diagnosis of paranoia. And
what will what will the paranoid people
say? A lot of the paranoid people or
those who've been diagnosed as bipolar
or schizophrenic and and even worse um
they would have the same sort of
testimony.
So I'm not saying it wasn't a demon. I'm
not saying something is a demon. I'm not
saying it was something mental. But if
you start seeing similarities with those
who might be mentally ill, then it could
be that. Now, those things can be I
think rectified [sighs and gasps]
because I I still go back to this
belief.
The people who have no thought, no
forethought about anything demonic at
all don't have these experiences. They
just they just don't. I'm not saying
they they don't have anything weird. By
the way, weird things or crazy things
can happen. I'm not saying demons can't
do things in this world. I'm not saying
God won't allow them to do things in
this world.
Um, what I am saying is
whether a demon does something
to you, whether the person is unsaved
and something happens or saved,
whatever, whe matter what happens,
what are you supposed to be doing? What
are you supposed to be focusing on? Uh,
you said Cory, you missed something. You
trusted a stronger power. That's my
point.
>> So when I am like when I went in the
house, my mama said it. That was it.
>> Demon. Demon or not. Yeah. You listen.
My mama's home. [laughter]
So So what am I focused on? Her and what
she said.
>> What am I focused on now as a believer?
Him and what he says. So when the Bible
tells me that there's no power that can
take over, nothing can separate me,
nothing can touch me, nothing can move
me,
then I I I believe that. So sometimes we
demonstrate our level of trust in the
Holy Spirit and even sometimes our
leaning on the power of the Holy Spirit.
What you described to um to you
would not nor has it happened to me.
>> Right.
>> Now I thought, man, that's weird. I
thought one time I saw some lights. Um,
what is that? Oh well, moved on. Cuz
whatever it is, whether it was something
made up, whether it was something
physical, let's say, some sort of
chemical reaction in the atmosphere, or
it was a demon, whichever one of those
three things, it would have been or
could have been something in my brain
made up
or something that's happening physically
in the atmosphere, these lights or
whatever, or if it is a demon.
Either way, you know what I you know
what I do with it?
Put it to the side because it's
immaterial compared to the word and
compared to my falling of Christ. That's
why the people over here have no have
have none of those um testimonies. So, I
would never come and say, "Hey, it
wasn't real." Cuz I wasn't there. I
couldn't say I, you know, it wasn't
experienced or what have you. I can't I
will never say that what happened with
this person they're saying is real or
not. Now, sometimes I'll say, "Yeah, you
know what? what I'm seeing. Let's say if
I see what's the guy's name, Daniel
Adams, casting out a demon or Katherryn
Crick casting out a demon. Yep. That
ain't real. That just ain't real.
>> Uh you were cast out, the demon was
casting out of you and you were falling
all over the place and you remembered to
pull your hold your skirt down so it
wouldn't fly up, right?
>> Um one guy had [clears throat] his cell
phone. He wouldn't drop that cell phone.
He's not going to let that cell phone,
that $,500 device get banged up. He want
He wants to protect his screen. So yeah,
you don't act like a person who's lost
control. And if a person has lost
control, they don't have the spirit. I
don't mean like like a you know, you
lose your cool moment. You know, someone
says something, you just fly off the
handle. I don't mean that.
>> I mean, you know, this these bouts of
just these fits of rages that you're
having. That's not that it that can't be
true of a Christian and have the Holy
Spirit.
I I would say my my experience shows
that it's like there were you don't have
to believe me but there's a girl in
Dubai who was a Muslim and God was doing
some things just to reach out to her her
mom had cancer and then after she had
talked to me about it the day after it
was gone and then she had a she had a
spirit of fear that would that would
come on her every so often and it wasn't
her mother and then it wasn't her and
the day after she talked to me about it
it was gone and so God was was doing
these things just to reach out to
And that like what you were saying about
the the the the miracles in the Bible,
it seems like he'll actually move if you
give him room to move when you're
evangelizing and mostly only when you're
evangelizing because the object of glory
is Christ, not the person.
>> And so it's like when you give the
gospel its room and you give God his
room to do what he wants to do, he'll go
above and beyond some of the things that
you want him to do. I asked him to heal
someone's throat. He sent an angel and
she she felt like someone left let put a
put a hand on her throat and she felt
like she was in church when she was a
child. None of that I asked. I just
said, "Hey God, could you get rid of her
cold?"
>> Let me ask you this. If I if I were in a
place where people believed in um demons
or a lot of the supernatural happening,
if I were in a place like that
and we all believed it, all of us,
there's 20 of us, there's a hundred of
us or a thousand from in a church. and I
say something like that, what's the
likelihood that the person that I said
it to is going to believe it? Pretty
pretty high, right?
>> Yeah.
>> And then what's the likelihood or what's
the h [clears throat] how susceptible
are they,
>> right,
>> to feeling something happening and it
didn't it? Now, I'm not saying it didn't
happen
>> because it could happen.
>> See, and I asked I asked a person who
believed in demons uh in Christians and
and these different miraculous things. I
said, "What if?"
Because the devil is smart. If there's
anybody smart on this planet, it's going
to be him. He's been around a lot longer
than us. He knows a lot more. He knows
history better than us. If a devil with
his team of demons knows something about
you. Can he tell someone?
Sure. Why? Why wouldn't he? Cuz it can
make you like, "Wow, that's a" Because
we see like magic tricks and we're like
taking back,
>> you know, like what's the guy David
Blaine or whatever whatever his name is.
We can see stuff like this like wow or
David Copperfield, you know. So, we can
see these these things. What if
um a demon does something to make you
think
along those lines?
>> Yeah.
>> What if there's actually some sort of
demonic incursion that's actually
happen? What if the Lord is allowing to
happen
>> to see what you're going to lean to?
>> Yep.
>> Here's why I asked this question. In the
Bible, God will allow. As a matter of
fact, that God will pref the Bible says
in Ezekiel uh or yeah, he Ezekiel 14, I
think, that he would prevail upon the
false prophet to speak.
Wait a minute, God. Why are you
prevailing upon move upon the false
prophet to speak? I'm trying to see
something. I'm trying to see who's going
to follow this false prophet. Cuz the
test of the false prophet or the true
prophet, the test of the person who's
genuine or not genuine, the test is
always going to be
the word of God. Okay.
>> Well, this person speaking about Jesus,
they're not leading me to away uh from
God to a different God. They're not. So,
the God they're leading you to is a
powerless God.
>> The Holy Spirit that comes with this God
they're leading you to um does not leave
you free,
>> but leave you susceptible to panic
attacks
>> to being afraid, fearful, paranoid.
Everybody's watching me. So those things
happen and we don't know all of
>> um what the devil's planning to do, how
he's doing. We don't know everything
he's doing and how he's going about
doing it.
>> We're just told a couple things as it
relates to us and the devil.
Two things, well, three things really.
Uh not every spirit is of God. So how do
we check it? With the word. True.
>> So we got the word.
>> We have drawing close to God and
resisting the devil. Those three things
we do. those three things. That's all he
ever told us to do. So, I don't care. It
doesn't matter. I'm not saying I don't
care, but whatever's happening in your
life, my life, whoever's life,
Abednego's life, doesn't matter those
three things. And if you do those three
those three things, you never have a
problem with demons ever. Dog gone, I
should charge for that lesson I just
gave to everybody.
>> I'm kidding.
>> Well, it's true, though, because God
will take care of you. And so, it just
comes down to being able to trust God.
And you're very right. There's a lot of
mental things that can happen where, you
know, you might not have been
susceptible, might even not even be the
devil at all. It might be just the
charisma of the leader. You get yourself
in your feelings and you start having
these senses and it's like you've opened
yourself up to demonic attack because
you're leaning on something other than
God, going to something other than God.
You might as well just not even not even
bother with it because it's it's meant
to distract you anyway. It's meant to
take from like there's so many people
that are obsessed with demons, they're
not reading the Bible on what they want
what God wants them to do with the day,
>> you know? they're just they're just
sitting there lost in prayers or
whatever. So, it's like it's like you're
very right to just stick with the word
is probably the most important thing
because because otherwise you're just
getting off on what does God want from
your life. It's obviously not to chase
this thing around, you know? So, but I
do think that that kind of shows where
he's coming from where Abendigo is. Some
of these experiences are real and even
if they're not real, there's still a lot
of mental stuff that goes on here. And
so, that's where they get lost. That's
where they get deceived. They might not
even know they're in the wrong place. I
I listened to some of his videos. I
didn't think he was very wrong on some
of the things he was saying um with a a
lot of the things. And that's why I kind
of just wanted to test you with my own
experiences cuz it's like the reality of
these things is is if if you kind of
nudge them away, you don't talk about
them, you kind of, you know, you kind of
look like you're belittling them, which
you weren't, but it's still good to it's
still good to talk about you. You can't
help the people that are going through
these things. You know, this is what
these people pray upon. This is what
some of these charismatic leaders pray
upon are these people who are having
these genuine experiences and don't
don't know one way or another what to
think of them or what to do with them.
And so you got to at least address it to
a certain degree because it's still a
reality that they need help with.
>> So I always want to I I got to let you
go so I can get to everyone else. But I
always say this this and that's
biblical. Um,
I'm not going to lean on my own
understanding, how I see things. So, I'm
going to hold on to the word. I'm not
going to trust my eyes, my lying eyes.
I'm not going to trust my feelings.
Feelings have gotten me and you and
everyone else in trouble all along. And
so, therefore, uh, I won't. Now, what I
like to do when I talk to people is
just, well, have you considered this?
And someone can turn around and say,
well, Corey, have you considered this?
Well, yes, I have. Have you considered
that? Now, with all that we're
considering, what does the word say?
Let's go back to the word and see how
God addresses it. Well, but I just know
my experience and I just know what I
felt and I just know what I You're not
going to tell me you're not going to
convince me all these years I've been
doing deliverance or all these years or
I've had a demon. I have You're not
You're not Okay, fine. Fine, fine. If
you're saying no matter what we show
you, you're not going to believe. Well,
fine. Conversation's over. There's
nothing I can do with you. But if we can
have a conversation, if we can talk and
look at the text together and let's just
see, well, what does this mean? What is
he saying here?
