99’s Are PACKABLE! But At What Cost?

Hey guys, it's Nate, aka The Foot Accountant. Welcome back to the channel. Well, guys, EA did it. They dropped the best player pick so far in the end game of FC 26 because the chances of getting a 99 from it are actually very high. We're going to open this today and see if I can get one, but it is amplifying the frustration that we've been feeling since Friday. That new player pick content that we got yesterday in regards to the pack grind because the pack grind has gotten worse even with more special cards in packs and with the price of that SBC is becoming a problem. EA just need to adjust one thing with this pack grind and then it would all be fine and would all work out. We're going to talk about that today. Now, there is one aspect of content coming today on Sunday. I know, looking forward to a Sunday of content in August is crazy, but there's one aspect that I'm watching very closely because Sundays have brought us good content in this one specific area. We do have more 99 player SBCs that have been leaked and some player SBCs that EA should have been releasing for a while now. They're finally going to release some of the biggest names of icons in this game and one of them is 99 rated. Let's talk about it all, guys. If you're excited for this one, drop a thumbs-up to get hyped to be in and of course subscribe if you are new. Now, let's begin by looking over yesterday's Saturday content that we got in FC 26. First of all, we have the second of the three objectives needed to get the free Mbappé here inside of the Ultimate Rewind Completionist. Yesterday, we got the greatest hits objective, which gives a good chunk of packs, gives a Team of the Season VVD, which is helpful for the 85 by 10 grind, a Thunderstruck Bale, which is great for evolutions, the dab celebration. If you weren't on What was that? April Fools' Day when they gave out the dab celebration inside of a bronze pack, you can get it here for keeping two clean sheets, some tokens, and then a 97 rated Elanga card as well. That is again step two of three with the third and final objective for Mbappé coming out today on Sunday, Thanks for the memories that gives the Trophy Titans Henry. So, watch out for that one. That is there in objectives though right now. Let's go to Evolutions where we had another free Evolution that isn't giving us a 99 rated card, but it is giving some nice stats up to 98. It's called Leyenda de Moncada and this is going to be a perfect Evo for my Bobby Charlton. Before he goes to five play style pluses, he's going to go to 98 pace shooting and dribbling. Very, very nice Evo there. It does not give any play styles. It is just giving the striker position and giving a bunch of stat boost. So, that is a nice free Evo there, especially because the stats are going pretty high, but I still await that first 99 rated Evolution. I keep talking about it. That's what I keep waiting for because Evos now can go to five play style pluses. We're just missing the 99 stat in terms of an overall rating. Let's look at yesterday's SBC content where the big discussion is good and bad, right? We had the 99 Lautaro Foot Birthday SBC released on his birthday as you can see, right? Date of birth 8/22. That was yesterday. So, kind of cool touch there from EA Sports. He's got basically 99 dribbling, 99 shooting, and he is 15 squads. This gets into the conversation of SBC prices. And sure, 99 rated are packable right now and of course they are completable via SBCs, but at what cost? I think you're really doing this SBC if you love Inter or Lautaro Martínez or you're Argentinian or you just want to collect 99 rated cards. That's probably the reasons that you would do that SBC. Now, the SBC that was dropped yesterday, the big one that everybody is talking about, is the 98 plus player pick. We talked about it in yesterday's video. It dropped. Now, what I wasn't expecting to see was nine squads to complete this, but more on that in a second. Guys, I'm going to open this player pick and I think everybody, even though it is expensive, should do this player pick because the odds and the weight that I've been seeing from these player pick pulls, it's been like a guaranteed 99. Not quite guaranteed, but like let's say a 75%. Maybe that's even a little bit low, but a very, very good chance of getting a 99 rated card. We are going to open this one right here and see what we can get. By the way, guys, allegedly this is glitched in a certain way as well. The SBC says that no icons are supposed to be inside of this, but at content as you can see here, a lot of people were packing icons like Salwa and Beckenbauer. I even saw some people getting R9, Gareth Bale. There's a Marcelo pack pull from this as well. There's another Salwa inside of a a player pick with VVD and the 99s are popping. A lot of the Spain 99 rated cards are popping from this as well. Let's see what we can get. I got it done while the icons were still showing up in it. Let's see if it's been fixed or not or if they're still giving icons. Show me a 99. No way. I don't get a 99. Oh, man. All right, I've had good luck so far already during this Footies and this Ultimate Rewind End Game promo. So I'm okay with no 99. I actually did pack, if you guys didn't see, I packed Modrić yesterday from a random 95 plus pick. So I got my 99 there. That was a surprise pull, but I do recommend doing that SBC, guys. Even though it is expensive, I've thumbsed up it because what else is worth doing with your fodder right now? Like what else are you crafting? Even though it is nine squads and it is frustrating and we'll get to that in a second. Like what else is worth crafting? Because sure, there's player SBCs that are out. There's 95 plus picks that we were doing to chase 99s and this SBC gives us a legit chance at getting 99 rated. Like you saw my pick there, it wasn't that good. You saw a lot of the screenshots on Twitter. There were a lot of 99s. I was watching Alzio's stream yesterday at content FC streamer AlzioMF and he was doing share plays with the chat and like I think it was nine or 10 of these picks in a row right away after he started share playing, they were getting 99s in every single one of them. So, I got unlucky there. If you got a 98 only as well, we got unlucky together. But, if you got a 99, enjoy it. I think that's why this is worth doing every 2 days that it is going to refresh because it is expensive and that's the annoying part. But, what else are we going to craft? Now, this is the annoying part about it and this is why I think it's actually only 37% upvoted on Fut in because we're frustrated with the pack grind right now. Sure, it is still unlimited repeatable, but you're going to run out of cards sooner than you would have before and it's just not as easy to get the pack grind going again because of the fact that you're not packing the Footies cards, you're not able to get those cards that satisfy that special requirement. Instead of the 85 by 10, you can see I'm down to four 85 by 10s now and during the last couple of weeks of Footies where this was unlimited repeatable, I mean, I never had less than probably 15 or 20 of the 85 by 10s sitting in my store. So, sure that 98 plus pick is easy to craft, but at this point of the game, we don't want the SBC grind to get harder from what it was, it should have stayed the same. And EA just really need to do one thing to fix this, guys. We talked about it yesterday. I I tweeted about it again yesterday as well. All they have to do is remove the special card requirement from the 85 by 10. And I I tweeted this yesterday said petition to remove the special card requirement or make it any special. 2.3K likes on a tweet. That's a crazy amount of likes. You guys are definitely in agreement with this. I think we all are. At this stage of the game, the pack grind shouldn't feel more restrictive and it should feel easier. I mean, it's 2 days in a row now that we've said this. Hopefully EA are listening and they're maybe going to make that easy quick change to allow us to make the 85 by 10 SBCs even easier with the pack grind that we have right now. But we'll just have to wait and see what they do. I will also say this, guys. It is this late stage of the game. We are literally like 3 to 4 weeks away from the new FC 27 that is coming out. I guess it's more like 4 weeks, right? We're like a month away. A month from now, even a little bit less than a month from now, we will be on the new game and we'll be grinding. That is very, very exciting to think about. Uh taking a break at this stage of the game, if you're getting so frustrated with the content and frustrated with the menu grind where you're like, I just don't know if I can do this right now. It is not a bad time to take a break. And taking a break is not a bad thing. I know we love football. I know the Premier League and a lot of the other leagues just kicked off this weekend. Spurs lose 3-0. What a fantastic start for us. United, crazy game, not a great start for United fans. Take a break. Take a break from this game. Don't log in consistently or pay attention as much. Even stop watching the YouTube videos if that helps your mindset because there is something to be said about taking a break from something like this that is very demanding that a lot of us are paying attention to throughout the year. I'm personally feeling more and more done with 26 just because I find myself wanting to be in 27, the new game starting up. I mean, I've been messing around a little bit on the beta um and and kind of getting involved in that, which some of you guys have been doing as well. And that just motivates me even more to get into the new game and not be in this end game scenario. Excuse me, where we have all these 99 rated cards and it kind of feels like, well, what is it worth playing for at this late stage? Sure, don't get me wrong. I'm still having fun chasing 99 rated cards. I would love to have a 99 rated team. That's something that we do at the very end of this game anyway, but it just doesn't mean as much right now. And that's why I would if you're on the fence, if you like, man, this has been frustrating for me. Some of you guys in the comments yesterday were like, man, what do I do with this pack grind? It's not good. I have all these cards. I don't know what to do with. Take a bit of a break. Seriously. Like this is your permission to take a bit of a break to not care about this game as much. I think some of us need to hear that in this late game stage. Now, for those of us that are still in the menu grind, for those that are still grinding, wanting to pack the 99 rates and stuff like that, I do have a couple of tips cuz I saw a lot of your comments in yesterday's video as well. Nate, what do I do with gold commons? What do I do with these special cards that I am getting? With gold commons, guys, put them into the 85 by 10. This is what I'm doing when I'm doing the SBCs. I'll do max overall 86 and I'll do minimum overall like 75 because I mean, I'll even turn silvers into this. I don't care. But, doing it this way, I'll turn in gold commons into the 83 plus player picks first, but I will also turn them in here to the 85 by 10s because the more 85 by 10s that I can do, the better. Again, the problem is the special cards and the Footies that we're not packing anymore. It's just a place to put those gold commons right now uh because really what else do we have to put them into besides the 83 plus player pick? So, that is what I would do to that question right there. Uh and if you are struggling for some of these special cards to put in here, make sure once again you're optimizing your higher rateds, specifically the 89, 90, 91s, 92s. Keep doing the 95 plus player picks. Keep doing the 94 plus icon packs. That is expiring today, so maybe don't do that one. But, any SBC that you can find that gives a Festival Football or a Footies player for just one squad, which even if it's 90 rated, who cares? Keep doing those. They'll give you Footies or Festival Footballs to put back into this 85 by 10 SBC. So, that's kind of my tips right now in the end game. If you're like, I don't know how to keep grinding, I want to keep grinding, or maybe you're like, I want to do one of these SBCs that is coming out. Like 99 Marcelo. That was a leak that I had not seen yet. Guys, this is a list of SBCs that is going to be coming out during this promo. We've already seen a lot of these players like Lautaro, Neymar, Rafael Leao. We have not seen a Chris Richards yet. 98 rated Chris Richards, we've got a 99 Oblak who's going to be in an SBC soon. We've got the Zlatan Ibrahimovic which I think could be today. And then we've also got a 99 Marcelo. I know I already mentioned that, but that's a card that when I saw him released in Footies, I was really interested in trying to pack because that is a very fun looking, very unique looking Marcelo card. Of course, I did his SBC during year, but I would love to use him as a center attacking mid for his card as well. It just seems like it's a little bit too late for some of these cards to be coming out or maybe that's just the feeling that we have because we're kind of frustrated with how this end game grind has gone. So, that's one of the pieces of content that I'll be watching out for very, very carefully today. It would be a Marcelo or a Zlatan Ibrahimovic. The other thing, like I said in the intro, that I am watching very closely for as well, is another evolution in SBCs because Sundays, guys, have been giving us these Evos in SBCs and they have been very, very worth it to do. Now, like right now, I don't even know if I have enough in my storage. I think I do. I could probably pull this off, but I need to go open more 85 by 10s and build some more of those to be able to do this. The Guard Duty Evo is going to be expiring. We're probably going to get another SBC Evo today and I hopefully it will be a good one, maybe even that 99 rated Evo that I'm hoping to see. And we should get that today and that should be a good SBC. So, watch out for that. Bar the player SBCs, bar that Evo SBC, maybe an Evo that we get elsewhere today, not expecting too much else. The only other thing that we could be looking out for would be or should be looking out for are new player picks for FC 27 votes, which again, FC 27 is what's interesting me at the moment. This interests me a whole bunch. I love that card design for the first promo of the year. And I love that we actually get the chance to vote in game for these cards. We're not just going on to the website. We can, but it's way more fun when it's in game and it's like giving you a player pick and you're choosing a card. And then in a couple of weeks, we're going to see in game, you know, who the community has chosen and that'll be very interesting and that'll be very fun. So, watch out for that as a part of today's content as well. And the other thing that I wanted to mention as I open this 85 by 10 and skip it to get the fodder into my club and maybe pack a cool card. 96 Kalulu. You never know who you're going to pack from these packs cuz the ultimate rewind animations are just really weird. But, the last thing I want to mention is, guys, don't forget because I am in jeopardy of forgetting myself. I'm going to tweet this out literally as I finish recording this video. Don't forget to do the Catarina Macario objective, which gives you progress towards the Del Piero, which gives you an 83 plus tradeable player pick and 20,000 coins in FC 27. That's one of the main reasons I think people will be motivated to play right now, too. It's one of the reasons that I'm motivated to play and get objectives done is to get those FC 27 rewards. So, make sure you keep an eye out for that. That gives you SP, that gives you some tokens and some packs and most importantly progress in the preseason completionist two objective that we do have to complete every single week. They will be out for longer, so if like you don't want to complete this now, you don't have to do it by the Friday. You have until the end of the season, basically until the new game game comes out to get that objective done. But, just make sure you're progressing towards that. I don't think we'll get too much SP today. I could be wrong. It would probably have to come in the form of some sort of campaign or live event objective or like milestone objective as well. They're slow rolling the SP for sure to start off the season pass. I'm up to level nine, but I feel like I'm even a little bit ahead. I know some guys are probably ahead of me from that point. Maybe you're like level 12 or 15. But, I do think that EA needs to pick it up in terms of the SP. Anyway, guys, that is going to be the video for me today. Probably try to post a couple of times there. But, other than that, we'll be opening some more 85 by 10s on the app. We'll be seeing if we get lucky from any of those. Another 99 pack pull, and we'll see what a late Sunday in August has for us in terms of FC 26 content. One day closer to FC 27. That is what we are today.
