his nature. [music] I'd invite you to pray with me as we go to the word of God this evening. Let's pray together. Eternal Father in heaven, God, we are so grateful and thankful that your word is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. Lord, tonight I pray that you would shine bright upon every last one of us. Lord, help us not only to discern your word tonight, but to be doers of your will and of your way. Now, Holy Spirit, have your way in this place. Use me, oh God, for your glory. Think, oh God, through my mind and speak through my vocal cords. For I ask it in Jesus name. Amen. Amen. I invite you tonight to please take your Bibles with me and go with me to the Old Testament book of the book of Daniel tonight. Daniel chapter number six. And I'm beginning reading now beginning at verse number one. Daniel chapter 6 and I want to begin reading tonight beginning at verse number one tonight. We do know that Daniel is a prophetic book. It has a twin by the name of Revelation. Well, tonight we're going to look at Daniel 6 and beginning at verse one. And when you have it tonight, would you say amen? The word of the Lord reads tonight. It says, "It pleased Darius to set over the kingdom 120 princes, which should be over the whole kingdom, and over these three presidents, of whom Daniel was first, that the princes might give account unto him, and the king should have no damage." Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes because an excellent spirit was in him. And the king sought to set him over the whole realm. Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom. But they could find none occasion nor fault. for as much as he was faithful. Neither was there any fault or error found in him. Then said these men, "We shall not find any occasion against this Daniel, except we find it concerning the law of his God." Verse six. Then these presidents and princes sought to find or assembled together to the king and said unto him, King Darius live forever. All the presence of of the kingdom, the governors, the princes, the counselors, the captains have consulted together to establish a royal statue and to make a firm decree that whosoever shall ask a petition of any god or man for 30 days, say thee, O king, shall be cast in the den of lions. Now, oh king, establish the decree and sign the writing that it be not changed according to the law of the Mes and Persians which author King Darius signed the writing and the decree. Verse 10, our last verse. Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went up into his house, his windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem. He kneled up on his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God as he did a four time. Who says amen to God's word tonight? >> Amen. I want to preach tonight with your prayers under the subject entitled God will deliver you. God will deliver you. When I was a child, I learned the story of Daniel in the lion's den. And I must admit that when I was a child, I thought that this was just a cute little story about a boy named Daniel and some lions. But now that I'm a fullg grown man, I realize that this story is not simply another story about Daniel and some lions. No church, this story is all about a God who delivers his faithful servants from the hand of the enemy. This story tonight is to remind us that in the face of persecution, in the face of injustice, that there is a God who knows all, sees all, and who will fight our battles for us. By now, you understand that the book of Daniel is a prophetic book. That simply means that it has a local application to Daniel's day, but it also has an end time application to the time that we're living in right now. You see, the same things that happened over 2,000 years ago are going to happen in our world in these last days. Church, I love Daniel because Daniel is not like any ordinary brother. You see, the Bible says that Daniel has the favor of God working in his life. From a teenager exiled in Babylon all the way through his adult life, Daniel was filled with the spirit of the living God. In our text tonight, Daniel is about 84 years old. Darius is the new king in Babylon. Darius is about to set up his throne. There has been an election in Babylon. Darius is now the king. Darius is an ego mononical, selfentered, narcissistic king who wants everybody to talk about him every single day. If you look at the text in Daniel 6 and verse 1 and two, the Bible says this. Go there right now. Daniel 6 and verse 1 and two, the Bible says again, it pleased Darius to set over the kingdom and 12 princes which would be over the whole kingdom and over these three presidents. Watch this tonight. Of whom Daniel was first, that the princes might give account unto them and the king should have no damage. Church, the Bible tells us that Darius again is the king of Babylon. He establishes a government of 120 governors and over those governors would be three king uh three presidents of whom Daniel Daniel was the chairman over everybody. The Bible says that Daniel was put in charge of the entire kingdom. Now wait a minute. You need to understand this. Daniel is an immigrant. Daniel is a foreigner. Daniel has been stolen from his foreign land. And now Daniel is put number one in charge. Listen somebody. It does not matter where you come from. It does not matter your background. Whether you come from wealth or from poverty. God knows how to bless and how to elevate so that the least shall be first and the last shall be those that will stand for God. >> I love this tonight. Matter of fact, turn to your neighbor. Say, "Neighbor, it pays to serve the Lord. >> It pays to serve the Lord." Listen to me tonight. When you serve God, God is able to take you from the bottom and make you all the way at the top. Oh, you didn't say amen right there. Can I say it again? When you serve God, God can take you from the bottom and make you the head and not the tail. >> I love this night because God is the God that opens doors that no man can shut. And he shuts doors that no man can open. You see, you may not always be the best qualified, but when you know God, God will make you qualified. Now notice in our text tonight, what set Daniel above everybody else? If I had a thesis statement on tonight, here it is right now. What made Daniel NUMBER ONE? WHY DID Daniel ascend as an immigrant, a foreigner, all the way to the top? I believe church, the answer is in the word of God. Look at Daniel 6 and verse three. Here is the answer tonight. What made Daniel above? What made everybody look to Daniel? Well, the Bible says, "Then this Daniel was preferred above the presidents and princes." Here it is. Because an excellent spirit was in him, and the king thought to set him over the whole ram. Nairobi central. The reason why Daniel has elevated to number one in the kingdom is because Daniel is filled with the power of the Holy Spirit. >> You see church, I've come to understand that when you are filled with the Holy Spirit that God can do amazing things in your life. When you are filled with the spirit of God, God will give you wisdom. God will give you strength. You can start from the bottom, but when you are filled with the spirit of God, God will open up doors that you never could have imagined. Daniel is filled with the spirit of God. And matter of fact, Daniel has an excellent spirit inside of him. Can the church say excellent spirit? He has an excellent spirit. Everything Daniel did, he did it with a spirit of excellence. If Daniel was asked to sweep floors, he swept floors with everything that he had. If Daniel was asked to stack cheers, he did it with a spirit of excellence. Everything Daniel did, he did it to the glory of God. And when you do it to the glory of God, God will honor your life. Daniel allowed the Holy Spirit to possess him. And now the Bible says in Daniel 6 and verse4, notice tonight, this morning, an evil spirit possessed a little boy. But tonight, a grown man allows the spirit, the Holy Spirit to possess him. In Daniel 6 and verse4, the Bible says this, that Daniel is so blessed. Daniel is cut above the rest. And notice what happens now in Daniel 6 and verse4. Because Daniel is so blessed, the Bible says that the presidents and the princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom. But they could find no occasion nor fault. For as much as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him. I love how the Bible says it tonight that they were looking to find some kind of fault with Daniel. They were looking at his professional life. But the Bible says when they were examining the life of Daniel that Daniel was faithful. >> I don't know about you, but I want that testimony to be for my life as well. That William Lee has been found faithful. >> Amen. I pray that it will be your testimony as well. And now because Daniel is faithful, the Bible says that 122 people are now to try to get at one man. They couldn't find anything wrong with Daniel professionally. But the Bible says, hear me tonight, that they find occasion against Daniel's faith. church. Where does Daniel work? Who is Daniel's employer? The answer is Daniel works for the government. His boss is King Darius of Babylon. The government now has a problem with the way that Daniel worships. Oh, you hear me tonight? The government has an issue with this man of God because he worships a certain way. Watch me tonight. The main issue in these last days is going to be the issue of worship. They couldn't find anything wrong with him ethically, but they found an issue with his worship. As Seventh Day Adventists, we understand that in these last days that the world is going to have an issue with our worship. The Bible says that they had a problem with Daniel's faith. Now, Daniel did not worship like everybody else. His worship is peculiar. His worship is different. His worship is biblical. Daniel keeps the seventh day Sabbath holy. Come on, say amen. >> Oh, Daniel has a certain diet as well. We learn in Daniel 1 and verse 8 that Daniel would not even drink the Coca-Cola. Y'all not saying amen. Daniel would not eat the pork and all those things that were set before him. Daniel knew the God that he served. And tonight, church, I believe that God is raising up a generation of individuals that will be like Daniel. >> That you're going to stand for God. You're going to walk with God every step of the way. They could not find anything wrong with Daniel professionally, but they found an issue with his worship. Can I fast forward to the book of Revelation? go there right now. Revelation 13 and verse 15. Because here is what is going to happen in these last days. They're going to look at the people of God and they're going to have an issue with our worship. Are you hearing me tonight? >> Amen. >> Revelation 13 and verse 15 through 17, the Bible says this. The Bible says, "And he had power to give life unto the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause, as many as would not worship the image of the beast should be killed." And he causes all but small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand or in their forehead, that no man might buy or sell save he that hath the mark or the name of the beast or the number of his name. You see, the Bible says that in the last days, the unrighteous will have a problem with the way that the righteous worship. And if the righteous do not worship like the unrighteous, the Bible says that we will be persecuted in these last days. But I got news for you tonight. The Bible tells us that when the devil comes in like a flood that God will raise up a standard against the enemy. >> The Bible says that our bread and our water will be sure. Ah church, we don't have to worry about the future because God is the same God yesterday, today, and forever more. And if God did it before, God can do it again. He's the same God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. >> God will deliver his faithful children. >> The Bible tells us that in Daniel 6. Now, it reminds us of something important that God's kingdom and earthly kingdoms are not the same. YOU SEE, GOD'S KINGDOM WILL always be higher and better than any earthly kingdom. The center of Daniel's worship was his prayer life. Every single day, three times a day, Daniel would stop and he would intentionally commune with God. You know, church, it would do us well to follow the example of Daniel. In the morning when I rise, give me Jesus. in the afternoon. Give me Jesus before I lay down at night. Give me Jesus. Come on, say amen. Tonight, >> Daniel was intentional about his prayer life with God because prayer is power. >> When you spend time with God, God will fill you with the power of his Holy Spirit. As a matter of fact, Ellen White says this. She says, "At the sound of fervent prayer, Satan's whole horse host trembles." Let me say it again. At the sound of fervent prayer, Satan's whole host begins to tremble. That is when the people of God come together and start petitioning God, asking God to rain down in our lives. The spirit of God moves in a mighty way. Daniel chapter 6 and verse 6 and 7, the Bible says, "Then these presidents and princes, they assemble unto the king." And they say unto King Darius, King Darius, live forever. If I was in my home church, I would probably say it like this. These haters came to Darius and saying, "You the man. You the man." All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, the princes, the counselors, the captains, they all have come together to establish a royal statue and to make a firm decree that whoever should ask a petition of any god or any man for 30 days, say thee, O king, shall be cast in the den OF LIONS. THE BIBLE says that that these haters come to the king behind Daniel's back. Daniel does not know that there are people trying to take him down, but yet Daniel is being faithful to God. 122 people have had a secret board meeting with the king. And now they come to him and say, "Darius, please sign a law into order that if any man worship any other god save ye for 30 days, that they will be thrown in the den of lions." Hear me tonight, somebody. I don't know how your religious liberty is here in Kenya, but I want to tell you right now that the laws are already in place. That the enemy of our soul knows that he has already signed the laws. The government is going to bow down and join hands with the papacy. Are you hear me? Tonight there's going to be a agreement between Rome, the United States, that that first and second beast, and all those that will not honor God's commandments. The Bible says that they will stand on the side of the unrighteous. Ah, but there is going to be a remnant people. A remnant who's going to stand for God no matter what. A remnant that will not bow their knee to bail. That will but say, "Though he slay me, yet I'll still trust in God." >> Do you want to be that kind of people tonight? You've got to stand with God no matter what. The Bible says that these individuals come to Darius. And now Darius signs the law. He signs the law according to the Mes and the Persians which cannot be changed at all. And as Darius signs the law, the Bible says that the king now Bible says that Darius signed the decree that it be not changed. And for 30 days, the law states that no man can pray to any other god, to any other person except to King Darius. Now, I don't know about you, but God has been too good to me not to pray to him every day. I refuse to bow down to something that God has not commanded us to bow down to. And the Bible says, look at verse 10. Now, I love verse 10. The Bible says, watch the move of the text. Bible says, "Now, this is going to bless your life." Devil says, "Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went into his house, the windows being open in his chamber toward Jerusalem. He kneelled upon his knees three times a day and prayed and gave thanks before his God as he did a four time." The text says that Daniel knew that the writing had been signed into law. The Bible says that Daniel knew that he could face trouble from the king. Daniel started to call on the name of the Lord because Daniel said, "I'm going to serve God no matter what." Ah, church of the living God. The Bible says that when Daniel goes into his house that the windows are open in his chamber. Daniel walks toward the windows. Are you follow me tonight? And he goes to the window and he kneels down on his knees. Pastor McKenzie, I wish I knew what the prayer that Daniel prayed was. But the Bible says whatever that prayer was, he gave thanks unto God. Oh church, can you give thanks when trouble is coming your way? Can you still praise God when you don't know where the next situation is going to be there to bless your life? Can you still praise God when haters are coming your way? Can you still say thank you Jesus when you are looking for a job? Can you still praise God when all chaos is going on? I would suggest tonight that sometimes you have to give God praise even when you can't see how it's going to work out IN YOUR LIFE. SOMETIMES YOU JUST HAVE to say, "God, I thank you even though I don't know how you're going to do what I need for you to do." I would argue tonight that praise and prayer both go together. >> That you got to praise God even in the midst of your sorrow. I know I'm preaching to somebody tonight that knows that sometimes that prayer may be that answer may be delayed, but a delayed answer is not God's denial. God is able to still answer our prayers in a mighty way. Daniel prays. And let me say this today, parents, please don't stop praying for your children. Whatever you do, please keep on calling on the name of the Lord for your children. I don't know, I don't care how bad it looks, God can still deliver and save our children. Who says amen tonight? Amen. >> Bible says that Daniel gave thanks and when you give thanks to God, God begins to move. Matter of fact, the Bible says that God inhabits the praises of his children. So in other words, wherever there is genuine praise going on, God shows up. Whenever you start giving God praise, you are beckoning and asking God to please show up in your situation. Ah, I don't know about you, but I thank God for church, but I don't always need a choir to give God praise. I don't always need somebody to say, "Say amen to give God praise." Sometimes I get inside of the bathroom and my bathroom turns into a sanctuary. Do I have a witness, somebody? I sometimes I get inside of my car and I turn the radio off and I begin just to keep one hand on the steering wheel and say, "God, you've been so good. God, you've been so wonderful." And whenever I begin to praise God, when the praises go up, the blessings come down. >> Praise is powerful, Daniel begins to praise God and give God glory. Why? BECAUSE GOD IS worthy to be praised. >> Bible says that the effectual fervent prayer of the righteous avaleth much. Watch the movements of the text. I'm in verse 11 now. The Bible says that they now Daniel they hear Daniel praying to Yahweh. And when Daniel is calling upon the name of Yahweh, that fuels the haters and the detractors of Daniel. And the Bible says, watch now, the craftiness of wicked people. They say, "King Darius, uh, you the man. Uh, Darius, we love you. You are the best king we ever had. Uh king, remember we signed a decree that nobody can pray to you for 30 days, say thee, O king. Uh darius, watch this. 122 people are getting at Daniel. The Bible says that while Daniel was praying, they go to the king and say, "King, here it is. We just so happened to be outside of Daniel's house, and we heard Daniel praying." And Daniel was not praying to you, Darius. Daniel was praying to Yahweh himself. And the Bible says that Darius's heart goes out to Daniel. Darius genuinely loves Daniel. Watch what's going on right blow your mind. Here it is in Daniel 6 and verse 16. Look at the text. Daniel 6 and verse 16. Daniel will be thrown in the lion's den. But Daniel 6 and verse 16 is a hallelujah moment right here. The Bible says this. Look at the text. Bible says, "Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel and cast him into the den of lions." Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, "Thy God, whom thou serveth continually, he will deliver thee." Oh boy, y'all better pray for me right now cuz I feel an amen swelling up on the inside of me. >> Did you hear what Darius just said? Darius just started speaking faith. Okay. Okay. Can I preach to you right now? >> Darius is the pagan king. Darius does not serve Yahweh. DARIUS IS A PAGAN WORSHIPPER. But the moment Daniel's faith HAS NOW RUBBED OFF ON the king, so now the king is speaking FAITH BECAUSE OF DANIEL'S LIFE. >> WOO! CHURCH, I get so excited about that because God has called you and I to be a witness. You do not have the right to remain silent. Everything that you do not say will be used against you in the course OF HEAVEN. >> GOD HAS CALLED US TO BE A WITNESS. >> Now the the choir sung it this morning. Oh, can I get a witness for my Lord? And I've come to answer that QUESTION TONIGHT. I'LL BE A witness for my God. Amen. >> Darius says, "King thy God or Daniel thy God whom you serve." Watch this. Look at the word continually. In other words, the Hebrew is the same as the English. Darius says, "Daniel, I've been watching you. I've seen you pray three times a day. I've seen you call upon the God of Yahweh." And now the pagan king speaks faith. It's almost as if Darius is now a preacher of righteousness. >> Let me tell you right now, when you walk with God, somebody is always watching you. >> When you leave your house, when you leave your estate on Sabbath morning, people are watching you. When you came to camp meeting, night after night, people are wondering where are they going? And I want to tell you tonight that your faith ought to rub off on somebody else. >> Somebody else ought to know that God is an amazing God. Not because you preach sermons, but because the loudest sermon that you can ever preach is a lifestyle that is yielded to God. Amen. >> Daniel is now thrown in the lion's den, but Darius, the pagan king, speaks faith. Your God will deliver you. Now watch the text right now because sometimes God allows us, hear me, central, sometimes God allows us to get into certain situations that we consider a test, but is really God allowing a testimony to form. >> Oh, say it again, Pastor Lee. Sometimes your test is nothing more than a testimony in the making. >> So while you're going through your test, I want to challenge you tonight. Start getting your testimony together. >> Amen. >> In other words, it goes like this. I was without a job for a number of years, and that's a test. But now you can testify. And hear me, church. You don't have to see the proof of the job before you start forming your testimony. >> Okay, you missing what I'm saying now. Can I say it one more time? Elder John, you don't have to have the victory already to start putting together your testimony. >> Hallelujah. You can start forming your testimony in advance because what you're doing when you form it in advance, you are saying, "God, I have enough faith to know that if you did it for Daniel, you can do it for me. If you did it for Job, you can do it for me. If you did it for Esther, you can DO IT FOR ME." GOD IS NO RESPECTOR OF PERSONS. GET YOUR testimony out. Amen. >> Oh, my testimony is that God is an on time God. My testimony is that God will not allow you to suffer above that which you are able. But with EVERY TEMPTATION, GOD WILL MAKE A WAY OF ESCAPE. Who says amen? >> Amen. The Bible David says, "I was young and now I'm old, but I've never seen the righteous forsaken, nor a seed begging bread." >> God knows how to deliver his children. The Bible says in verse 17, now look at the text, verse 17. Now, the Bible says, "And a stone," uhoh, don't miss this, "A stone was brought and laid on the mouth of the den." Daniel's inside, and the king sealed it with his own signate, and with the signate of his lords, that the purpose might not be changed concerning Daniel. The Bible says that they placed a stone in front of a believer. They put a stone in front of a believer. They put a stone in front of a child of God. In John chapter 11, Lazarus is dead. >> Hallelujah. He's been stinking for four days now. >> They put a stone in front of Lazarus. But when Jesus showed up, he said, "Remove the stone away." AND LAZARUS CAME FROM THE dead speaking from four days. >> Oh, if you don't like that one, Jesus died on Friday. They rolled a stone in front of the tomb of Jesus. In my mind, the devil is celebrating we got Jesus. But the Bible says that Jesus slept all [screaming] day Sabbath >> to keep his own commandment. Ah, but somewhere on the first day of the week, the Bible says when the sun had risen that Jesus rose with all power in his hands. Because whenever you place a stone in front OF A CHILD OF GOD, you're just daring GOD TO SHOW UP AND TO SHOW OUT. >> You cannot bury a child of God. Ah, you trying to bury us and it is just seed for us to come on back up. >> Matter of fact, if you ever go to a beach and take a beach ball, hear me tonight, and take a beach ball and try to take that ball and put it under the water. How many of y'all know you can put that ball under water, but that ball has something on the inside of it? It has some air and when you push it down, it'll come right back up. Can I tell you tonight, somebody when you put a child of God down, the harder you press us down, the higher we'll come on back up. >> Bible says they put a stone in front of Daniel. They put a stone in front of that tomb. Now look at verse 18. Now, so the king, uhoh, here we go again. Darius. Darius has been watching Daniel for a while now. And now the Bible says in verse 18, the Bible says, "Then the king went to his palace and the king passed the night fasting." No, no, I'm stopping right there because I want you I want that to sink in. The king is fasting. Does the king know something about the power of God? Because Jesus told us that some things will only happen Mark 9:29. When you pray and when you fast. So the king says, "Because my boy is inside of the lion's den and I can't do anything about it because I signed the law into order." Daniel is there, but the king says, "I'm going to begin to fast." And then watch this. The king is pacing the floor. >> The king is nervous. Darius is trying to figure out HOW CAN I REVERSE the law, but he could not reverse it because it is the law of the Mes and the Persians. And verse 19 says this, look at verse 19. Then the king, he was fasting all night long. The king rose up early in the morning and he went into haste into the den. Now, notice something about the text, guys. I told you the other day that when I read the Bible, I don't read the Bible as a dead book. The Bible says that God's word is alive. It is quick, powerful, sharper than a two-edged sword. Hebrews chapter 4. So, hear me now. Daniel is in the lion's den. But notice something right now. Look at me. Notice notice. There's nowhere in the text that the Bible says Daniel feared at all. Did you notice it? That there's nowhere in the text that says Daniel stayed up all night. The individual that stayed up all night was King Darius because King Darius was trying to figure out was Daniel going to be safe all night. Now, now again, this is my sanctified imagination, but if you read the text, you have to see it for yourself. Daniel was thrown into a lion's den. There are hungry lions in the den. But Daniel gets down there with the Holy Ghost. And when Daniel gets inside the lion's den, in my imagination, Daniel probably said, "Oh, lion number one, come here. Lion number two, please make your way over here." And then Daniel uses the lions as a pillow to sleep all night long. Now, let me say this. That's my imagination, y'all. It's not the Bible, but it it's in the text there because he did have fear. Hear me tonight. If God is going to be up all night, why are you worrying all night long? >> If God is already going to be up because Psalm says 121 that our God does neither slumber nor sleep. So if God is going to be up all night, take yourself to sleep. Have a good nice rest. Lay your head on a pillow. Trust God that when you wake up in the morning, everything's going to be all right. It does not make sense for two of us to be up all night. >> I'm going to bed. Come on. Do I got a witness now? I'm going to bed. That's right. >> I can't do nothing about it anyway. Daniel is in the lion's den. And the Bible says this. I love the word of God. The Bible says this in verse number 20 again. The Bible says verse 20. Now he says, "And when he came to the den," that's King Darius, he cried with a lamentable voice. The lamentable is is almost a sorrowful voice. And he said to the Daniel, he says, "And the king spake and said Daniel, oh Daniel, servant of the living God, has thou has thou has thy God whom thou serveth continually been able to deliver you from the lions?" Now, if you have not said amen for the entire sermon, here's your chance. Because verse 21 says these words. Verse 21 says, "Then said Danielle, >> you're reading the whole verse, but wait a minute. Wait, wait a minute. If we don't have any more of Daniel 6:21, the first three words are enough because SHE SHOULD HAVE DIED THAT NIGHT. BUT when the king yelled inside of that den, Daniel said, then Daniel said, "That's enough right there to give God praise." >> Then Daniel said unto the king, "Oh king, live forever." >> Look at verse number 22. Now, Bible 22 says this. Bible says, "My God." Now, now, now that that that gives me another amen right there because that tells me this, that Daniel had a personal walk with God >> because he uses the personal pronoun MY MY God has sent his angels and have shut the lion's mouth that they have not hurt me. For as much as before me innocency was found in me, and also before thee, O king, I have done no hurt. >> Can I tell you right now, God will deliver his people. >> Ellen White again says, "We have nothing to fear for the future unless we forget how God has led us in the past. Though persecution may come, though trouble may come, though chaos is going to break out in these last days, the Bible says that there is going to be a time of trouble since we have never seen. But at that time, verse two, Michael shall stand up. Michael again, the warrior named for Jesus will stand up and he will deliver the people of God. Bible says then Daniel was come out the den. I want to read the last the last part of this verse tonight. The Bible says these words Daniel 6 and verse 23. Then the king was exceedingly glad for him and commanded that they shall take up Daniel out of the den. Uh wait wait wait a minute now. Who took Daniel out of the den? Are you following the word of God? >> [clears throat] >> Because if you were here yesterday, I showed you something in the word of God as well. We're on we're on this journey this week. Sometimes the very people who conspire against you are the same people that God will use to be a blessing in your life. >> The haters had to take Daniel out of the den. And the Bible says, watch this, and no manner of hurt was found upon him because he believed in his God. >> In other words, he had obedience and he was able to live. >> Amen. >> Obey and live. >> Amen. camp meeting 2026. And the text ends like this. And the king commanded because church, hear me, the book of Daniel is prophetic. This is not just a children's story. No, no, no. The book of Daniel has an end time application as well as a local application for Daniel's day. So the Bible said the king commanded and brought these men that accused Daniel. Uhoh. Uh-oh. And they cast them into the den of lions. Them, their children, their wives. Uhoh. And the lions had mastery of them and break all their bones in pieces orever they came at the bottom of the den. In other words, God when Daniel was in the den, the lions became vegans. The lion said, "I'm going to change my nature." Because God can change a fish from being da to daga, from the womb to destroy you to the womb to protect you. And now the same God in this text right now uses a lion NOT TO HARM DANIEL, but to say, "I'm not hungry." Oh, but how many of you all know that the time of reckoning for the unrighteous is right before us? >> Amen. Because now the lions say, "All right, God, can I go back to my carnivorous nature?" And now the Bible says that they drop them in the den. And the lions say, "God is great. God is good. Thank you for this food." And they devour, watch this, the unrighteous. Church, this is a picture of the entire story of redemption. Come on, let my man. All right. This is a story of redemption that we were caught in the hands of the enemy, but yet when we trusted in God, God was able to save us. And then here's how the story ends. The Bible says this verse 26 last two verses the Bible says God's word says Darius says I make a decree that in every dominion of my kingdom men should tremble and fear before the God of Daniel. For he is the living God and steadfast forever. and his kingdom shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end. He deliverth and rescueth, and he workketh signs and wonders in heaven and in earth, who hath delivered Daniel from the power of the lions. Verse 28, last verse. So this Daniel prospered in the reign of Darius and in the reign of Cyrus the Persian. Who says amen? >> Amen. >> The Bible is giving us a picture of redemption. Hear me last thing. Because at the end, look at me. At the end, the only person who is standing is Daniel and a converted Darius. All the rest of the 122 are killed. Nahome chapter 1 and verse 9 says that sin will not rise up the second time. [sighs] So Daniel represents the remnant who will stand for God in the face of evil. Can I ask you a question tonight church? Will you stand for God? Will you make up your mind during this encampment over these last five days that I'm going to give God my heart, my mind, and my soul. Because the reality is is that Jesus died for every single last one of us so that not that we can become more intelligent sinners. But God wants to make us intelligent saints so we can follow him every step of the way. And if you're intelligent tonight, you'll make your calling and your election sure. I'm going to ask tonight if you want to commit to God and say, "God, I want to stand with you. I'm going to ask that you would stand to your feet tonight as a symbol to God that yes, Lord, you can have all of me. If that's you, don't delay. Stand to your feet tonight. If you want to say, God, you can have all of me. Because the [music] truth is God will deliver. In the last few moments that I have, very quickly tonight, I'm so excited because this Sabbath there's going to be a baptism. [music] Who says amen? >> Amen. See, the Bible says, "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved." Those who are watching online are online worshippers tonight, you're not too far from God. No matter where you're watching across [music] God's globe, God loves you and he wants you to stand with him. While thousands of us are here tonight, I believe that God is calling someone to make a stand for him right now. And my young people, you're not too young to stand for God. MY COLLEGE STUDENTS, YOU'RE not too young to stand with God. I mentioned [music] today when I was with you that the cheat code to life is being filled with the Holy Spirit. As we end [music] tonight under the authority of Jesus Christ, if you [music] want God to write your name in the Lamb's Book of Life, if you want God right now to deliver you from the hands of the enemy, if you want to be filled with God's spirit, I'm going to ask you right now to surrender. surrender your life to Jesus. And the best way you can surrender is to walk down really quick right now. Really quick right now. Step outside that aisle. I'll only [music] leave it for one minute right now. If you want to commit to God and say, "God, yes, I'll follow you. Yes, God, you can have all of me. Yes, God, I will be baptized [music] because I know that when I'm giving my life to Christ that he will save me.
