75-Day Wedding Glow Up đź’Ť Supplement Stack, GLP-1 Hair Loss, + Am I Changing My Last Name??
Watch on YouTubeVideo summary
Sali is currently 75 days away from her destination wedding in Cabo, Mexico, and she is documenting her intense "glow up" journey while managing the stress of planning a major life event. As a serial hobbyist who recently acquired an embroidery machine, she faced significant frustration with her equipment due to constantly breaking thread, which she eventually solved by switching to higher-quality polyester thread and correcting her needle insertion technique. Beyond crafting, she is also navigating the logistics of a destination wedding where transporting DIY items is challenging, leading her to opt for custom-made dresses in Austin to save money and avoid excessive alterations later. She shares that despite feeling sick recently, she is recovering well and eager to try on her welcome party outfit and potentially her wedding dress again, as she feels more confident about her upper body now that she has lost a significant amount of weight.
A major focus of her transformation involves her health regimen, specifically her use of GLP-1 medication since September, which has helped her lose 30 pounds but has also caused unexpected hair loss that is worrying her. To combat this and maintain her energy levels for the wedding, she has adopted a specific supplement stack including Symbiotica vitamins for immune support, Promix creatine to build muscle and aid cognitive function, and tone gummies to prevent bloating. She admits to struggling with perfectionism and procrastination as the wedding date approaches, leading her to organize her chaotic workflow using sticky notes and digital tools like Notion to manage tasks for both her photography business and wedding planning. Her goal is to work as much as possible now so she can fully enjoy a stress-free period shortly before the big day, though she acknowledges that the pressure of having many eyes on her makes looking and feeling her best a top priority.
The vlog also touches on various lifestyle details and social events leading up to the wedding, including attending a brand dinner at La Pacina in Austin where she wore a cute outfit with sequin shoes and custom bangles. She discusses her love for gardening despite recent struggles with rain affecting her plants, and shares recipes like her go-to chicken taco bowls that help her eat high-protein meals without spending too much time in the kitchen. Additionally, she addresses the practicalities of changing her last name to match her fiancé's, noting that while she initially hesitated due to how it sounded, she plans to do so officially when renewing her passport next year to avoid a hassle later. Throughout the video, she balances moments of exhaustion and scattered thoughts with excitement for upcoming activities like wake surfing on Lake Austin and hosting a spritz party, ultimately expressing gratitude for being self-employed during this busy season while asking viewers for advice on managing wedding stress.

Happy Monday, y'all. You know that means
a new vlog. My name is Sali if you guys
are new here. A little quick background
about me. I am about to turn 30 in
November. Wow. I'm also about to get
married. 75 days until I say I do.
That's absolutely insane. So, we're kind
of in the thick of like planning and
stress, and I'll kind of get into that a
little bit later. Me and my fiance have
been living in Austin, Texas for about 7
years. We came right after college and
we love it. It is gosh darn hot here,
but we make do. I'm also a serial
hobbyist and especially with all of the
wedding preparations, like I was the
girl who got a Cricut and a printer and
I recently got a sewing machine, an
embroidery machine. And this weekend, I
tried embroidery for the first time. And
you guys, I was about to shove that
sewing machine out the damn window. I
could not figure out for the life of me
why the thread kept breaking and
fraying. I mean, it the only thing I can
think of is the thread quality. So, I
literally Amazon overnight some new
thread. And I'm hoping that was the only
issue because other than that, I think
that embroidery should be pretty simple.
I have a lot of random little crafts
that I want to do for the wedding. We
are getting married in Cabo, Mexico. So,
it's a destination wedding. So, I can't
make too many DIYs cuz I have to
transport everything. And already I feel
like I'm going to have so many bags that
I'm going to have to carry. And they
will take you to the cleaners when
you're bringing more than two bags. Like
literally, the third bag is 150 I think
the last time. And I was just like that
is just I mean, I get it, but also like
uh I wish we had like a little pass for
you know things like weddings. I have so
many random little chatty things that I
want to talk about throughout this vlog,
but since we are 75 days out, we are
officially kind of honing in on that
wedding glow up. I haven't been super
intense about it so far, but I obviously
want to look and feel my best because
number one, those photos and videos I'm
paying a lot for. And number two, I
mean, you know, like it's your wedding
day. There's going to be so many eyes on
me. Like, you know, I just got to look
good. Transparently, I've been taking a
GOP one since September, and I truly
think that it has been such a game
changer. And I honestly feel like I will
continue to do it after the wedding. I
mean, we'll see. But right now, I really
don't have plans to stop it, especially
like right after the wedding. It really,
really helps with like inflammation in
general, but also I've lost 30 lbs on
it. And I've been going to the gym for
like 2 years before I started. To be
totally honest, I just could not lose
the weight on my own. Not sure how many
days this vlog's going to be, but
tomorrow I have an appointment to pick
up one of my welcome party outfits
because I had to get it tailored and I
was so annoyed about it because I lost
the weight. I basically got this outfit
in India when I was there in December
and I'm probably 20 lb less than what I
was in December. So, I had to get it
tightened and it costed me a pretty
penny. So, that really sucked because it
was already like custom when I was in
India to those measurements. So, I had
to pay on top of that. I'll probably
also get to try on my wedding dress
tomorrow, I'm guessing, because it's all
at the same place. I'm getting my dress
custom made here in Austin, Texas. I'll
have her name on the screen if you guys
are interested. I just didn't really see
too many dresses that I loved that were
in like bridal boutiques around town.
There were so many dresses that were
beautiful and that I liked, but I just
never felt like it was mine. And
honestly, if you price it out with like
buying a dress at a bridal boutique and
then doing custom alterations, that is
just so expensive. So, doing it fully
custom from the start is actually saving
you money. The last vlog that I posted
was kind of all over the place, so I
apologize about that. But, I was kind of
getting sick and then recovering, and
I'm pretty sure I am fully recovered
now. So, I'm really really hoping and
praying that that is the last time I get
sick until after the wedding. like I I
just need to hold off until after the
wedding. But we have a lot of work to do
because I just want to book as many
photography sessions as I can before the
wedding and not really have to worry
about it after or like, you know, 2
weeks surrounding the wedding. I'm just
really worried about that because that
is my busy season. Sorry, I forgot to
add this in my little about me section
if you guys are new, but I'm a
photographer here in Austin and a
full-time content creator. So that is
what I do for work and I just want to
get as much work as I can obviously you
know to pay the bills for the wedding
and just to like work as much as I can
right now and then we can just be in our
wedding bliss because I know I'll
probably not want to work maybe like a
week and a half before the wedding. I'm
just already scared that I'm going to be
so stressed. I feel like right when it
hit 100 days I started freaking the f
out. So, if you have any advice on how
to stay calm throughout this, please let
me know. Getting ready pretty late in
the day. Kind of regretting that cuz I
wanted to like film a couple of things
before we headed out for happy hour. I
did something new to my hair, which is
kind of already falling, but I love like
the shape it gave my hair, especially
the bangs. Look how big this barrel is.
It's from T3. I think it's called the
body waiver. And it just gave like a
really nice like sheen to my hair as
well. just like gave it a little bit of
life cuz it was natural. I just washed
it last night and let it air dry. I also
just unboxed this new top from Tik Tok
shop, you guys. Like I actually have
been purchasing a couple of things on
there. Um I did get my size wrong for
like almost a whole order which really
sucked. So I'm going to have to do some
returns later on. I think all those
clothes were from Addicted. So just a
heads up. Order up for Addicted. I can't
remember what this brand is, but this is
a bandage top, you guys. Bandage is
coming back. Do you remember those
bandage dresses when we were younger?
Like, it's literally that same material
just in like a tank top version. Also, I
feel like I need to be better about
sharing my lip combo because look at
this. This isn't even all of my lip
liners. Like probably one tenth of all
my lip liners. I am obsessed with buying
lip liners. just all brown colors. Of
course, sometimes I'll get questions
from Instagram stories or like Tik Tok,
what lip combo are you wearing? And I'm
just like, girl, I couldn't even tell
you because I usually always switch it
up. But I will say this is one of my
absolute go-tos. This is from Juvia's
Place. I think it's in the color so
rare. It's just a really, really good
brown. I'll swatch it.
It's like a perfect neutral, a little
bit of a cool toned brown. This is what
it looks like kind of blended out. So,
you can make it darker or you can blend
it out, make it a little bit like more
natural. This is the gloss I used today
from Huda Beauty. It's the faux filler
in the color rich sealer. But I will say
this is one of my favorite glosses. This
is the YSL. My friend got this for us as
bridesmaid's gifts and it has my name
engraved on the side. It's kind of
dirty. Sorry. It's kind of like leaking
out of the cap, but it is just such a
perfect pink color. I think it's 03 in
the YSL gloss. It does have a little bit
of plumping. So, I don't always use it
cuz sometimes I'm just not in the mood
for that. But even in my purse, I have
like five lip liners at all times. And I
Yes, I know I have a problem. I bought
this skirt so long ago and I haven't
figured out a way to wear it because of
this like asymmetrical thing that's
going on. And I'm not even really
confident about this tank top with it,
but this is probably the best option I
have found. So, we're sticking with our
bandage top. And then this skirt is I
think H&M. Maybe Zara, but I think H&M.
And then for a bag, I'm just bringing
this Anthropology bag. It is such a good
bag. It holds so much. I think I've said
this in many vlogs before, but it is
beautiful. It matches so many outfits.
And I will try to link this outfit
below. Oh, I forgot my shoes. I
definitely wanted to tell you guys about
these shoes, even though you can't
really see them, but these are from
Amazon. And I'm pretty sure the last
time I checked they were $20. And I got
my best friend to buy them, too, because
they're so cute. They're very versatile
and comfy. We're going to La Pacina for
happy hour. So, let's go head out. I
think it's about a 20-minute drive.
We're at La Pacina for happy hour. And I
forgot how good these chips are because
they're so thick. They are perfectly
salty. I appreciate this. I don't want
some unsalted thin chip. They got some
salsas. I think we're going to do some
guac and some fresh seafood.
We got home a while ago. I did some work
and Ryan went to play golf. Of course,
cuz the man can't even take a day off.
Actually, yesterday I think he didn't
play golf, but like hitting balls and
playing golf. They're the same thing to
me. So, I don't know. I'm in my cutie
little Austin PJs. I think I've shown
you guys these before, but they are so
adorable. They have like all these cute
little icons of the city, and they're
from PJs by PJ, I think, but I will link
them below. They have a ton of cities,
and they are so cute. It's honestly like
a really perfect gift. They are super
comfy and they wash really well. I have
the short set. It is finally time to try
the new thread on my embroidery machine.
Praying that this works, you guys.
Otherwise, I don't even know what I'm
going to do. I have so many like random
DIYs that I want to do for the wedding
involving the embroidery machine. And I
just need the freaking thread to stop
snapping. And I think we'll be in good
shape. The thread that came with my
embroidery machine is polyester, which
is what you're supposed to use. So, it
seems like it was the right thread. But,
I don't know. Just really hoping that
whatever I just got will work and that
will be that and then it can be just
smooth sailing from here. We're not
going to judge how messy my office is.
You can judge me after the wedding, but
right now, mm- it's not happening. Okay,
I'm going to try the embroidery machine
I just rethreaded with the new thread.
Please, God, please make this work cuz I
have no idea what to do other than this.
I like changed the needle a couple of
times. I rethreaded. I tried to like get
this needle or not needle, um, thread
stand. The thread unravels a little bit
better. I'm just like at a loss of
things to try. So, really really hoping
that this works. Let's do this.
You guys,
I don't I don't even know what to do. I
know I could like test out the tension,
but I tried that and it didn't work. I
don't even know if I have like the brain
power to troubleshoot it right now, but
I'm like I need to figure this out
because it's going to bother me. We only
have 75 days and I have so many DIYs
that I want to do. We got to figure this
out. Um, you guys,
I think I was putting the needle in
wrong. Mhm.
Yeah. And I remember like looking up
tutorials and I remember reading that
instruction and I thought I had it in
right, but I didn't.
Yeah. So, let's hope this is it because
I'm just so tired. I need to like go to
sleep knowing that this works. So,
let's do this.
This is going to work, babe. I have a
feeling.
Okay, now it's not working.
Threading it.
You guys hear that? It's going way
longer than usual.
Oh, just
the needle. The needle is not facing the
right direction.
Yeah.
Oh my gosh, babe. I'm doing it.
You guys, I think we're getting
somewhere.
Wow. It's not great, but it's definitely
better than the first couple of tries.
Good morning. It is Tuesday and we are
parked and ready to go see our welcome
party dress and possibly wedding dress.
Not sure if I'm going to try that on,
but I would like to just to feel a
little bit better about myself. I think
I may have said this before, but the
last time I tried it on, I just like
didn't love my upper body in it,
honestly. And I'm feeling a little bit
better about myself. So, just to like
put my mind at ease, I would like to try
it on again, especially while we're
here. Might as well.
I think it was folded. Yeah. Lift. I was
nice and gave you guys a little sneak
peek. I'm so excited about the outfit,
but it is so heavy. I literally just
tried on the skirt. It's so heavy. My
appointment was at 1:00. It's 10:07. I'm
already in my car and have the goods.
It's actually kind of nice because
usually when I'm here, it takes around
an hour to try on the dress and just
like make notes. And I am filming a
whole YouTube video about the process of
designing and customizing a dress. So,
I'm excited about that. But then I'm
like filming whenever I'm at these
appointments. So today was definitely
the first and was in and out and now we
are going to go back to Austin. She is
out in Lakeway. Is it Lakeway or like
Steiner Ranch area and if you know one
thing about me, you know that I hate
driving so far away. Mainly for the
reason that I always feel like I'm going
to fall asleep in the car. Like I'm not
even joking. I get so so sleepy,
especially when the sun's beating down
on me and no one's talking to me. So I
actually just called my dad. I think I'm
going to call my mom on the way home
just to be able to talk to someone cuz I
get so damn sleepy. But let's go home.
Feeling really good about myself cuz on
the way home I stopped by UPS and made
some returns that I've been pushing off
for a very long time. It's always those
small tasks that literally take two
seconds that I don't ever want to do,
but I Okay, but I just applied some new
press on. My nails were looking a little
janky. These are from Manny Muse. My
first time using this brand of pressons,
and they seem pretty thick. I've been
using just like the glue that comes with
the pressons recently, and so far so
good. I love this pattern, this like
chrome polka dot. It's so cute. So
bridal. Speaking of bridal and wedding
planning, I was supposed to have a call
with my wedding planner today, but we
rescheduled for tomorrow because
apparently there's maybe a power outage,
something going on with the weather over
there. So hopefully everything's okay.
But we just went ahead and rescheduled
for tomorrow. And honestly, that works
out perfect for me because I am going to
a brand dinner tonight. And I don't know
if I told you guys this, but I literally
got the email last night after we got
home from La Pacina that this brand
dinner is at La Pacina. I just expected
it to be at the other restaurant in the
proper hotel cuz originally they said
proper hotel. What is this hair? Okay,
my bad for just assuming it was going to
be in the other restaurant at the proper
hotel. But yeah, so going to La Pacina
two nights in a row. I mean, I truly
cannot complain. And I just got my Rent
the Runway order in. Perfect timing
because I really needed a dress in there
for tonight. The dress code's like
cocktail or like elevated cocktail. Um,
and I had no nice dresses in my closet.
I got rid of a lot of stuff and I just
like don't really have nicer dresses in
general cuz I just like buy them for
events that I need to go to. Also, I
have tea for you guys. I was going to go
to the Olivia Dean concert this Friday
with a brand, but they just sent out an
email saying that they're cancelling
like the suite. Like the concert's
obviously still going on, but they're
cancelling like just inviting us. And I
was like obviously this sucks. But the
worst part about it is that I fully had
like a whole cute little spritz party
planned for some friends and just like I
wanted to host some girly pops at my
house and I planned it for that date and
then I ended up having to reschedule
because I wanted to take this
opportunity because it was like, you
know, with a brand obviously it's Olivia
Dean. Like how cool would that be? So, I
rescheduled my party and now I'm so
pissed because I could have had my party
on this Friday. A couple of people are
actually coming to town this weekend.
So, I was even more excited to like have
my spritz party this weekend, but now
they can't come cuz I rescheduled it.
So, I'm determined to make this weekend
super super fun because that just sucks.
I literally just booked a boat for me
and my friends and in Lake Tahoe. I
don't know if I like posted that vlog. I
don't know if I will. I wanted to do a
full vlog, but I got sick in Lake Tahoe
and I just was not feeling it. But
hopefully I can salvage some clips and
like throw it in a vlog. But our friend
Dane taught us how to wake surf there
and so we were like, we have to get a
wake surfing boat in Austin cuz usually
we just do a pontoon boat. So I made
sure to book a wake surfing boat on Lake
Austin for Saturday. So I'm excited for
that random pivot. But I wanted to talk
about like GLP1's, weight loss, wedding
stress, all of the things. I cannot
pinpoint what is going on, but I am
losing a good amount of hair. And it's
actually kind of freaking me out. Like,
it's gotten to a point where I'm more
concerned than usual. Like, you know,
obviously your hair falls out in the
shower and when you brush it. I don't
know, the other day I pulled out kind of
a big chunk and I was like, what is
going on? And the worst part about it is
that I cannot even pinpoint what it
could be because it could be so many
different things. Like I'm on a GLP-1
and I've said to so many people that
have asked me if I had side effects. I
don't have any. But now people are
saying, "Oh, hair loss only comes when
you're on GLP1 for, you know, a long
time." And I've been on it since last
September. So I'm like, "Okay, that
could be it." I'm also feeling all the
wedding stress. And you know, I might
not be eating enough protein. I'm not
going to lie. Like, I have been slacking
on just getting nutrients in my body.
Like, I really really need to like
prioritize,
I don't know, just eating better in
general with the wedding coming up, but
also, you know, eating better foods.
Like, when I cook at home, like it's
usually pretty healthy. But I got some
advice from my followers. Some people
said to start taking vitamin D. So, I
got these Symbiotica packets. And I've
heard so much about this company for
years, and I really never thought I'd be
the one to buy this, but they're little
packets that you basically slurp down.
And I'm just going to take mine right
now. It's a daily kind of thing. They
don't taste horrible, but they don't
taste amazing. There's like a little bit
of a bitterness to it.
It's for bone, joint, and immune system
support, which is also great cuz again,
I'm really not trying to get sick again
before the wedding at least. And then
another thing I recently got per my
dad's recommendation, actually, he was
talking about this Promix creatine. He
said it doesn't taste like anything. He
just pours it in some water and it
literally just tastes like water. We'll
see about that. But you guys know I've
been taking this creatine for I want to
say like at least 2 years. the tone
gummies from Array and I've been really
really liking them. Like I actually do
think that they do something and I've
never experienced bloating on them, but
I've also never tried another creatine
so I don't really know like what that
would feel like. It's literally made for
women so you don't bloat from creatine.
But then my mom told me that she read an
article saying that gummy creatine
doesn't work as well as like pure like
powder creatine. So, that's another
reason why I was like, "Okay, might as
well try something else." Especially cuz
I'm putting in all this hard work at the
gym. And this is nice because it comes
in little travel packets just like the
Symbiotica ones. It's like, who wants to
travel with something big like this? I
took my gummies earlier this morning. I
usually take them before I work out, but
you know, why not do a little bit more?
Like I said, we have 75 days, I think
it's 74 now, to look and feel our best
for the wedding. And so, I'm going to
try my absolute hardest. Although I
don't really want to stick to like an
intense diet cuz that's just like not me
and I feel like I would be absolutely
miserable. I've also heard people
staying away from the alcohol, but like
I'm already a lightweight and I feel
like that would just do way more harm
than good. Imagine my first drink and my
welcome party getting me like all my ass
drunk. Like that does not sound good.
Creatine is supposed to help you like
really build your muscles. And also, you
guys look at my shoulders.
Like, what? What? I don't even think I'm
flexing right, but still, that looked
pretty cool to me. Like, this I mean, I
never used to have that like muscle
right there. I just I don't know. I feel
really good about my workouts and like
just feeling really good about myself.
And obviously, that is amazing going
into my wedding. So, yes, it helps to
build muscle and also my dad said it
helps with like cognitive
something or another. Like it just helps
you like think better and go throughout
your day better. I mean, my mind is so
scatterrained right now. So, I will take
anything that helps it a little bit.
Interesting. I did buy both of these
with my own money. This isn't an ad. I
got it on Amazon. So, if you guys are
interested in taking either one of
these, I'll have the link in the
description box. I just called an Uber
and this is my outfit. How freaking cute
is this? And you guys, it actually kind
of worked out that Olivia Dean got
cancelceled. I mean, obviously it's
unfortunate, but I was going to wear
this to the concert and another dress
for tonight, but the dress that I was
going to wear for tonight, the material
just like wasn't as elevated as I
thought it looked like online. So, this
definitely fits a little bit more of the
vibe. And it's so cutesy. I'm wearing
these shoes that I got for my engagement
photos. They are so freaking cute. They
definitely got very dirty though cuz we
were like running in grass and stuff,
but they have like little sequins all
over them. Touched up my hair a little
bit. Added some more curls and then did
some body glow. I have no idea where my
bangles are from, but thought this would
be a fun touch. And then I have these
earrings on from Amazon. I'm going to
meet up with Ria a little bit before so
we can take some photos before we go
into the dinner. They said get there at
6 PM sharp. So, I think my ETA is like
5:37. I think that's more than enough
time to take some photos. I'm bringing
like my whole camera set up, my flash,
my big Sony camera. So, we're going to
get some good content.
They literally transformed this space
since yesterday. Look how cute. It's a
huge brand dinner. It's so cool.
so we can finalize the code as it is and
anything will be considered an upgrade
and an add-on. Maybe we can make it like
a little bit of a brighter like
terracotta color. I mean, it could be
cool to have like the mirror
with the bangles in the back. Like if
the mirror is like actually like
separate from the bangle bar. Oh,
another question is will there be like
an attendant? It's 8 by 4 by 4. Happy
Wednesday. I was about to say good
morning, but it is not the morning. It's
100 p.m. and I just got off the call
with my wedding planner because
sometimes I just like to set up, you
know, catchup calls because I literally
have a running list of random things
that I'm like thinking about all the
time that need to be answered. like it's
a little insane, but I feel like if I
don't write it down, I'm going to
forget. I've been feeling so
scatterbrained recently, and it's not a
great feeling when there's so many
things on your mind. So, I just wanted
to kind of get that call going, and
hopefully we'll start having calls a
little bit more often just to go through
like random little details. Like, it's
like the tiniest details you wouldn't
even think about. Still waiting on some
quotes and hopefully they can send it
over this week. I ordered custom cups on
Alibaba. I ordered the most gorgeous
custom bands on Alibaba and I really
want to look into custom packaging,
especially for the afterparty food. I
feel like that would look so cute. So,
I'm going to try to work on that today.
I did another Pilates class this morning
with a new instructor. Well, new to me.
I guess I've only been to like maybe
four at this point at Lifetime. She was
a lot harder than the first girl, which
I'm so glad I'm like trying out new
instructors because the first girl I was
like, "Okay, we're so used to our alpha
classes kicking our freaking butt." So,
at first, Pilates didn't feel like it
was doing a lot. And honestly, like
sometimes whenever I even do yoga, I
kind of feel like it's not a waste of
time cuz I understand it's like
intentional and like you should be
slowing down and, you know, being with
your body, but also like I want to just
like burn calories if I'm going to be
there for an hour. I want to burn as
many calories as I possibly can and feel
really good after the workout. So like I
just have been feeling like the Pilates
classes I've been going to were just a
little bit easier than I what I'm used
to. But no, this girl today, she she
kicked my butt. I mean, I didn't sweat
as much as I do in Alpha, which is so
nice because, you know, I didn't have to
wash my hair today and I was definitely
expecting to wash my hair, but because
that workout kicked my ass, I have been
so tired. I also had a head shot session
right after I went to the gym. So, I
went there and on the way home, I was so
sleepy in the car, it was like
concerning. I just drank my creatine and
I mixed it with a crystal light
raspberry lemonade packet and those were
so good to me. I'm like obsessed with
them. Like I said, the creatine doesn't
taste like anything, but I'm not going
to just sit there and like chug just
water. So, I feel like the Crystal Light
helped me drink it a little bit faster.
I don't have anything planned for this
evening, so I'm really really just
hoping that I can get just some random
done. And I do want to try out the
embroidery machine again because like I
said, I have a lot of like DIYs that I
have in my head for my wedding. So, I
need to like perfect that before I mess
up, you know, like a lid in for the
wedding.
It's a requirement to have like one or
two days that you just look not your
best during the work week and today is
that I do want to show you guys my
workout set that I am wearing today.
This is from Pop Flex. And usually I
don't love like this crisscross thing,
but feel like this works cuz it hits at
a good point on my waist. But I love the
things that Pop Flex does. My first ever
set was this one. And it just like looks
so feminine. And the owner of the brand
is Blogotties. If you're an OG YouTube
girl, like you know who that is. And I
always see her Tik Toks come up on my
for you page of her legit designing
everything to be so innovative and I
just think it's a really cool brand, but
also the workout sets are really good.
Just finished up prepping for dinner. I
mean, it's pretty much all done. All I
have to do is like scoop it in a bowl
and add my toppings. I'm pretty sure I
make this at least every week, maybe
every other week if I like forget about
this. But it is my go-to meal when I do
not know what the hell to do with
chicken. I just use chicken taco
seasoning and put some red bell peppers
and onions. It hits the spot every
single time. I mean, if Brian could eat
anything for the rest of his life, I
think it would be Chipotle. So, it's
kind of like a Chipotle at home. But,
it's just really good and simple and I
don't have to think about the recipe cuz
I just have done it so many times.
Obviously, it's high in protein with all
the chicken. Sometimes I do split up the
chicken thigh pack and just do half for
these bowls and half for something else.
But honestly, I just did it all because
I want a lot of leftovers so I don't
have to think about any other meals.
Like I kind of miss being creative in
the kitchen and having a lot of
motivation to try new recipes, but
there's so much on my mind with like the
wedding and everything coming up. So, I
just feel like that's the last thing I
want to do is like try new recipes and
spend more time in the kitchen than I
have to. So, this has definitely been a
go-to. If you're new here, I love
gardening and I've been really getting
into it. It's my third year gardening
and this year was a struggle, I will
say, because we had like a lot of rain
that we don't usually have. So, you
would think that would make the garden
bloom and just thrive, but honestly, I
feel like it slowed down everything. And
only now are my zenyas thriving.
Usually, they bloom way early in the
summer. But anyways, I have an okra
plant and I have to stay on top of it
because if they get too big, they're too
woody and you can't eat them. I get to
pick like one at a time. So, obviously,
I'm not just gonna eat one okra. So,
I've been cutting them up and freezing
them. I don't know what I'm going to do
with them. But, all I know is I do love
fried okra, but I feel like there's all
these Indian dishes I can also make.
It's going to take me forever to fill up
this gallon bag of okra. I mean, I guess
I don't need that much, but I want like
a good amount to make a dish with. So,
I've just been adding to this every time
I get to pick an okra. This is dinner,
you guys. It's so good. I did avocado as
a topping, salsa, sour cream, a little
bit of cheese. It is really hitting the
spot. Good morning. I have been having
such bad I don't know what it's called.
Is it called paralysis? where I just
feel like I have so many things that I
need to get done for my personal brand,
for my photography business, and then
wedding planning. I feel so so grateful
that I am self-employed during this
wedding planning process. I seriously
cannot imagine having a full-time job on
top of this. And I again have a full
service wedding planner, but like all
these little things that I want to do
and need to do, just feel like they are
a cloud over my head and I just have to
get some of this stuff done before it
just feels like it's too late because I
think the biggest thing I'm worried
about is being so stressed the month of
or like even 2 weeks before. I want to
try to eliminate that as much as I can
right now while I have the time to be
doing stuff. And for some reason, I
can't do things. Like, I cannot start
things. I don't know if it's just the
perfectionism in me or thinking I'm
gonna find a better idea to do closer to
the wedding. I don't know what it is,
but I need someone to come shake me and
be like, "Bitch, just get it done." So,
I purchased some sticky notes to make it
a little bit more visual for me and more
like even physical so I can move it
around and like stack them on top of
each other once I'm done with the task.
Because right now, this is such a bad
way to do things. I know this, but this
is what my calendar looks like. I pretty
much treat my calendar like a to-do
list. And I know that's horrible. And
then in general, I just have so many
notes everywhere. Like, I have things in
my notes app, and then I have tasks and
to-dos on notion. It is so funny to me
because a lot of the creators here in
Austin, they're always like, "You are so
put together. Like, you're so organized.
You're so productive." I'm like,
girl. Like, if you only saw what my
house looks like right now, I mean, I
did clean up my office. It's feeling
very, very clean right now, thank God.
Except for my like little embroidery
corner. But when it comes to
organization, I'm not great at it. Like,
I know where things are, but it could be
a lot better, a lot cleaner, a lot
tidier. I just kind of like throw things
together and like hide them. That's how
I organize. And I wish it wasn't like
that. But yeah, when it comes to my
brain dump, I don't know why, but it's
just like all over the place. And then,
you know, when I'm trying to find that
one note for my wedding planner, I can't
find it. So, I'm going to try to be a
little bit more organized with all this.
And I was thinking I could even do this
for some of the things I want to get
done for my personal brand and my
photography brand. In college, I was
attached to my day designer planner. It
was the best planner. Honestly, I think
it still is. And I feel like I do want
to get back into like writing things
out, but the only issue with that is
that like if somebody's trying to make
plans with me or I get an email that I'm
invited to this one event, I won't be
able to see it until I get home. And I
like to like reply to people as soon as
possible so that they get their answer.
And you know, having it all on my phone
is just easier that way just so I can
reference it myself.
What color should wedding planning be? I
feel like this bridal blue
Ryan's passport was going to expire 6
months from the day that we were getting
married. And so I think that the law is
that Mexico won't let you in 6 months
before that happens, which is stupid.
Like what the freak is an expiration
date even for? Anyways, he just renewed
his passport. I took his passport photos
yesterday and it says it's going to get
here like October 13th.
that's like less than a month from our
wedding. It's going to be fine. It's
going to be fine. It's going to get here
right on time. And you know, if if
there's an issue, like he could always
go to Houston or go back to Atlanta and
figure it out. Mine expires next year.
And I still don't know if I'm changing
my name. I don't think I've like talked
about it on the vlog at all. Originally,
I was like, "Hell no, I'm not gonna
change my name to Willis because I feel
like it just sounds weird, Sali Willis."
But then, you guys, I forgot that I have
an American middle name. If you didn't
know, I'm Catholic. So, my middle name
is Mary. So, it's Sali Mary Peru. When
you say it fully out like that, Sali
Mary Willis, like it doesn't sound, you
know, that weird. And on my Instagram
and Tik Tok, like I probably just would
keep it as Sali Peru cuz my handle
itself doesn't need to be changed. Thank
god. It's just so gnarly. But for our
future, you know, and just to be one, I
feel like it would just be nice to have
the same last name. But for public
records, I think I'll probably just end
up doing it. But friends that recently
got married are always complaining how
hard the process is to change your last
name cuz you have to change it on
everything. So, thank God my passport is
expiring next year so that I at least
have time to like change my name while I
renew my passport because I would be so
annoyed if I had to renew it right now.
And then again,
all the sticky notes aren't sticking
out. So, now they're like falling off
freaking wood. Do I just tape them? Like
this is so annoying.
Thought this was such a great idea. I
ended up just taping them on there, but
this is what it looks like so far. And
there's so many more. My mom's supposed
to help me with this one. I really,
really want to try to take a lot of the
extend family photos on the welcome
party day. So, I'm going to try to have
my family come a little bit earlier so
we can get that out of the way. I
definitely need to do these two this
weekend. I don't know why I'm pushing it
off. This is definitely at the top of my
list because I'm scared that it's not
going to get there in time. I've been
purchasing a couple things off of
Alibaba. I've already purchased cups and
fans. And then let's see. Oh, that's
definitely an important one. I think I
want to end the vlog here because I want
to start a new one for the weekend. I
booked the most last minute boat. We
went wake surfing in Tahoe and we want
to do it again in Austin. And to be
honest, it was a little tough trying to
find people to join the boat day because
I feel like all of my friends have moved
away and it's just so sad. But there are
two girls visiting this weekend. So
that's the main reason we wanted to do
the boat. But please bear with me here
on YouTube with the vlogs from now until
even like a little bit after the
wedding. There's just not enough hours
in the day. And editing these YouTube
videos is just so timeconuming. I love
doing it when I actually like sit down
and knock it out, but there's just so
much going on. I just know I want to
share like everything and anything.
Also, let me know if there's anything
specific you guys want me to include in
the vlogs, but I will see you guys in
the next video. Bye.
