7 REALISTIC Claude AI Side Hustles For People Over 50

Watch on YouTube

Video summary

The video outlines seven realistic side hustles tailored for individuals over 50, emphasizing that decades of professional experience and wisdom are assets that artificial intelligence cannot replicate. The core argument is that while AI can generate vast amounts of information, it lacks the contextual judgment and pattern recognition that older professionals possess. Consequently, these side hustles leverage human expertise to guide AI tools, allowing users to perform high-value tasks without needing to be technical experts. The speaker stresses that success in this space relies on authenticity; viewers are encouraged to use their own life stories and industry knowledge as the primary source of content, with AI serving merely as a tool to streamline production and drafting processes. One specific opportunity highlighted is the role of an AI compliance analyst, where individuals review and validate AI outputs for accuracy, a task that requires human judgment similar to air traffic control. Another major theme is the "gray hair premium," which capitalizes on the fact that over 70% of wealth in the United States is held by people aged 50 and above. This demographic creates a supply and demand imbalance where brands are eager to hire older creators for User Generated Content (UGC) because their age builds immediate trust with an audience that prefers relatable figures. Additionally, the video suggests creating a "wisdom channel" on YouTube, noting that many successful creators in this niche started later in life, turning their specific career histories into passive income streams through books or educational content that continues to generate royalties over time. The final section of the summary covers roles such as fractional executives, where seasoned professionals rent out their executive judgment for a few hours a week to small businesses that cannot afford full-time leadership, and trust brokers who help local companies implement AI solutions using their established community relationships. The speaker also discusses publishing books based on a lifetime of experience, describing it as planting a seed that yields long-term financial returns while establishing authority in a niche. Throughout the discussion, the video repeatedly warns against relying solely on AI to create generic content, urging viewers to inject their personal history and expertise into every project. Ultimately, the conclusion is that age is not a barrier but a competitive advantage, provided individuals are willing to execute the strategies shown rather than simply watching them.

All right, so this was a request that I've gotten a lot of times to make this video and these are going to be the seven most realistic cla side hustles for people over 50 and real receipts on the screen. Now, before YouTube, I was a pharmacist and for years the people standing across that counter from me day after day, thousands of them were my patients. And so I had great relationships with a lot of my patients. And what do you know? When I built a coaching community, guess who ended up attracting a lot of? Quite a few people who were over 50. And surprisingly, guess who wins the fastest? A lot of the time it's people with decades of experience because experience is the one damn thing that AI cannot fake. Right? Anyone can just look up general information on Google or AI. But what you can't look up on Google or AI is experience wisdom. And people over the age of 40 or 50 are the ones who have a lot of it. And that is why you probably have noticed a trend on YouTube over the last year or so of hundreds and hundreds of channels blowing up of people that are on the older side, including my own brother. More on that later. Now, taking a step back, my channel has done over 1.5 million in AdSense alone. My business has passed over $10 million. And my own brother, in his 50s, went from, "How do I turn this thing on?" to making over $18,000 last month with something that started as a side hustle, and he's basically still doing it as a side hustle, but he wants to turn it into his main thing. So, no, you are not too late, and you are sure as not too old. Now, one warning before we start. Sometimes when I do these AI videos, what people want is for me to teach them how to drown the internet in lazy AI slop. And that is not what this is. And I am not going to teach you how to make AI slop. You are the one who brings the wisdom and experience, but Claude is going to be the one that does most of the heavy lifting for you. At the end of the day, you are the source of information. And that's going to be true for every single one of these side hustles that I talk about. Now, every single one of these hustles passes three tests. You can start this week with what you already know. Real people with real receipts and honest cash included. So, if you appreciate me making this type of content, let me know by gently cheersing that like button and let's jump into it right now. Now, real quick, every prompt in this video is in a free doc as well as some of the AI tools that I recommend you use as well. That should be the third link in the description and the pin comment below. You can click down there if you'd like to follow along with this. All right, so let's talk about the judgment layer. And let's start with the one that nobody is talking about, which is getting paid to be the human who checks AI's work. So, this is an AI compliance analyst roles and they average about $98,000 a year at the entry level. Now, that's for a full-time job, but you don't have to do it full-time. You can do it as a side hustle, do it part-time as well. And platforms like data annotation and outlier pay everyday people to review AI responses from home. And here is why businesses are pumping AI into everything. And AI is confident even when it is wrong. And I think a lot of people fundamentally do not understand what AI is. AI does not have actual intelligence, right? It is sort of like a compilation of the intelligence of people that already exist. Like the information that already exists, that's already out there. It's a compilation of that. And if you want to get technical, it essentially acts as a harness. But this harness basically needs real people to check its answers. People that have experience, wisdom, and people who maybe have, I don't know, decades of pattern recognition that can smell wrong from across the room. So, think of this kind of like an air traffic controller tower. The planes basically fly themselves now, but nobody wants an empty tower. The flying is automated for the most part, but the judgment is not. Now, you might be thinking, "Well, Shane, I am not technical." You do not need to be. The skill is knowing what right looks like in your field. Now, honest catch here, detailed work, the good kind of boring, and the general platform start modest. You can copy and paste this prompt, which I'll put on the screen right now. You can literally just screenshot it, put it into Claude, and then follow these directions. Now, the reason I don't just tell you how to start with this is because there's going to be different directions depending on your needs and your wants. So, for instance, if you have certain industry background knowledge, there may be different or better opportunities for you. So, again, if you're interested in this one, just go ahead and copy and paste the prompt and get started by following the directions on the screen. And like I said, I do actually recommend downloading the Claude resources, which will be the third link in the description of the pin comment below, for even better answers. YouTube and building your personal brand just got 10 times easier, and nobody's talking about it. And the reason it got 10 times easier is because of AI and specifically cloud AI. And that's what we're going to be talking about in this week's live training that we're doing. Click the link down in the description in the pin comment below. I will be there. I'll be answering questions before, during, and after. We'll also be giving you an AI that's been designed to help you pick your niche if you don't have one in the first place or if you already have one, it's going to help you make it 10 times better. So, we worked very hard on this AI. People absolutely love it. We've literally gotten hundreds of comments from people that love it. So, you do not want to miss out on it. And if you're watching this in the future for whatever reason or it's already past the time of the live training, still click on that link because we will be having more live trainings in the future and you will be the first person to know cuz it'll put you on a wait list for that. But with that being said, it's completely free. No reason not to attend. Click that link in the description, the pin comment below and I'll see you on the other side. Okay, so next is the gray hair premium. And this is basically getting paid because of your age. So, Grandma Droniac in her 90s, millions of followers and brands line up. And Brunch with Babs has over 3 million subscribers. So, there's people that have millions and millions of subscribers and followers. But it's not just mega accounts. Brands pay regular people over 50 for simple product videos because your generation holds most of the wealth and there is a simple supply and demand imbalance, right? None of the ad faces look like you. Now, this is going to be a recurring theme throughout this video where your age is actually going to be a strength, not a weakness for all these side hustles that I recommend. So, essentially the way this works is most of the money in the United States is owned by 50 and above. It's something like 70 to 80% of the wealth is owned by 50 and above. Yet, 95% or more of content creators are on the younger side. Advertisers want to advertise to older people. But older people, generally speaking, just like any other demographic of people, likes to watch people that are like them, right? They It's easier for them to relate to people that are like them, and it is easier for them to know, like, and trust people that are like them. Additionally, even younger people in many cases actually enjoy watching content from older people as well because it's almost like their internet aunt or their internet older sister or their internet mom or internet grandma, etc., etc., right? And same thing with the grandpas and uncles. So, there is a massive amount of demand both from the viewer side and from the advertiser side for older creators. And yet, there is not very much supply of older creators. And so, there is a massive supply and demand imbalance. And this is why you have seen lots and lots of older creators pop up on social media and do exceptionally well exceptionally quickly in the last year or so. Now, in this particular case, what I'm talking about is UGC, which means user generated content and it's a fancy word for a phone video. And basically what it typically is is you film an honest 60-second product video and the brand runs it as an ad and you get paid per video. No audience required. So, they are not renting your follower count, they are renting your credibility. And in any antique market, the pieces with age on them sit behind the glass and you are the piece behind the glass. Now, you might be thinking, "But Shane, nobody wants to see me on camera." Well, the data says the opposite because trust is the product. Now, an honest catch here, you are on camera. So, the first video will likely feel awkward as hell. Everyone's first video does. And generally speaking, when you're first starting, rates are usually about $150 to $250 per video. So, if this is something you're interested in, again, I'm going to put the cloud prompt on the screen. You can screenshot it. put it into Claude. It's going to interview you until it has enough context to give you a really good answer and then it's going to give you a personalized answer to help you get started with this. All right. Next is what I like to call a wisdom channel. So the next one is one that multiplies everything else and it's a YouTube channel built on your wisdom. So there's a channel called Simply Retired and they posted a video called Why I Started YouTube at 73 and how much they paid me. And this video got about 500,000 views with over 40,000 subscribers and it's over 30 times its normal view count. So tens of millions of over 50 viewers are here and almost nobody their age is making content for him and this is one of the biggest supply and demand gaps on the internet. >> 3 weeks before I turned 73 I published my first YouTube video. >> Now I noticed this and I was talking about it on YouTube before anyone else was and they were basically just crickets. Like a lot of people didn't really believe me or whatever and so you know what I did? I literally took a random 50 plus year old person in my family, my brother Zach, and I taught him my YouTube system and I blew up his channel. Now, Zach spent 30 years in the trades. He never made a video. He barely uses his phone. And I sat him down with Claude for 15 minutes. And his first script pulled over $800,000 views. And on day 29, he made $214 in a single day. Right? So, he went from zero to a full-time income in less than one month. And last month, he made over $18,000. And this is from a guy who got me an ice cream machine as a present and then immediately broke it because he plugged it into the wrong outlet. And also a guy who used to call me all the time to fix every little thing with his email or his website, etc., etc., right? He's not exactly techsavvy, but it didn't matter. He's not particularly charismatic. It didn't matter. And he's definitely not young, right? He's over 50 now, but it didn't matter. In fact, that actually went in his favor. Then you've got Jud. He's got over 500,000 subscribers, and he is serving a pretty similar audience. Men over 50 typically. Then you got Craig. He's one of the biggest realtors in Montana. He's over 70 and he started with us in one of his very first videos that he posted with us. Got over a 100,000 views and you can imagine how many leads that got for his realy business. Then you've got R.J. He has a retirement channel. He's over 60 and a few months after starting he made $28,000 in a single month. And then there's Guy. Guy is very close to retirement. He wanted to make 1 to2,000 extra dollars a month and he actually hit that goal with under 500 subscribers. And you might be wondering, well Shane, is it just older guys that this works for? Oh, no, no, no, no, no. You've also got Nurse Jen. Nurse Jen is 60 years old. I know she doesn't look like it. She looks great. She needs to share her skincare routine with me. But she blew up and went from zero to a full-time income in about a month and a half. And she was able to quit her job as a nurse and go full-time on YouTube. And she just told me that she made $10,000 this month. And I could just keep going here. The point is, your experience is oil under land that you have owned for 30 years. And YouTube is the first drill that one person can operate. and Claude can run the rig for you. Now, honest catch, YouTube is likely one of the slower ones here. Yes, my brother went from zero to a full-time income in one month. Yes, many other people we've worked with have gotten to full-time incomes within a couple months or sometimes a few months. But most people who try to start on YouTube are going to take a very long time to make a full-time income. Now, that's partially just the nature of YouTube. It's more of a long-term game, but it's also partially because people do YouTube the wrong way. More on that here in a moment. But the point is, you might make nothing for months on YouTube, maybe even years on YouTube, but nothing on this list compounds even close to this hard. Now, let me give you a quick example of somebody who took years to make money on YouTube. M&J Metal. He is on the older side, and he tried to do YouTube on his own. And he basically did everything wrong. But he didn't give up. He consistently posted, and it took him well over 400 videos, but finally, one of his videos blew up. How to make Pickle Pepsi at home for free. He got over 10 million views. And that video alone has probably made more than most people make in an entire year. One video that was about 4 minutes long probably took him about 10 minutes to make. Made more than most people make in an entire year, which is pretty epic. With that being said, it took him 4 years of posting to get there, right? You can actually look at his oldest videos. They're over four years old. And he did not get any traction until recently. In my opinion, that is mostly because he was doing everything wrong. But he kept posting. He kept doing it. And eventually one of his videos took off and the rest is history. And that's really all you need is just one video to take off and then you're pretty much set after that, assuming you continue to upload videos that are similar to it. Now, if you don't want to have to take four years to have a successful channel and uploading over 400 videos, if you want to have a successful channel significantly faster, like my brother Zach, whose very first video popped off and he went from zero to full-time income in less than one month, and you want to know exactly how he helped Zach do that, well, that's exactly what I'm going to be revealing at a live training that I'm doing this week. Click the link in the description in the pin comment below. Do not miss out on it. Additionally, I will be giving away an AI at this live training. And this AI is designed to help you pick your niche or if you already have a niche, it's designed to help you make that niche 10 times better. There are literally hundreds of comments from people that rave about how good this AI is and we are giving it away for free. So, click that link in the description, the pin comment below to check that out. I look forward to seeing you there. It'll be a step-by-step guide to get started on YouTube, showing you exactly how I help my brother grow. And at the end, I will answer any questions that you have and give you the AI. So, I look forward to seeing you there. All right. Next is the fractional boss. This is basically renting out the executive that you already are. Right? So if you are an executive or you are in a high up position where you make a lot of money, you can actually do fractional work. So companies rent, for instance, experienced CFOs, operations or HR leaders for a few hours a week. And fractional execs commonly bill $150 to $350 an hour. And one retainer client can be worth $2,000 to $5,000 a month. Now, a community member of mine, Bill, serves financial controllers, and he was able to make $70,000 in a single month from YouTube. And many small companies cannot afford a full-time CFO or a full-time financial controller. And they know it, but they are desperate for 4 hours of your judgment. And the Claude twist is the reports and the forecasts that ate your week. Well, Claude can draft those in an afternoon. Again, the things that you are very good at, since you are the source of the knowledge, Claude can help you do it significantly faster. So, one bridge engineer, five small towns, none can afford their own. All can afford a fifth of you. Now, you might be thinking, who would hire me? The people who used to work for you and everyone in your rolodex. Your rolodex is a moat that no 25-year-old can cross. Now, the honest catch is this takes sales conversations, right? You will have to say a price out loud and you will have to not flinch. But this is another one that a lot of older people have made really good money from. In fact, R.J. the unretired, the guy that I just talked about a little bit earlier, not only has the R.J. the unretired channel, but he also does fractional CEO consulting. And the reason for that is because he used to be a CEO of several different Fortune 5000 companies before he semi-retired. And he's actually consulted me as well and given me some really awesome tips. Okay, the next one I like to call the trust broker. So, local businesses need things like websites as well as many of them are starting to implement AI now. Now, the truth is, and I know this all too well, using AI, you can now make a killer website in less than an hour. And we're talking a fully functional killer website if you know how to use it correctly and it is super repeatable. Takes a little bit of setup at first, but once you have the process down, it is very repeatable. Additionally, a lot of these businesses want you to implement AI as well. And if you can implement AI and the websites together, well, that's just the cherry on top. And the truth is, a lot of local businesses do not want some 22year-old setting up their website. They want someone that they can trust. And in some cases, this might even be literally local businesses, people that operate businesses just down the street from you. and they know you very well and they trust you. So, you can set up Claude or you can set up their website for businesses and you can easily charge $500 to $1,500 for the setup. Now, of course, there is a little bit of a learning curve at first, but once you know how to do it, you can just do it over and over and over and over again. There are countless amounts of people who got incredibly rich when the internet came out, the first 10 years after the internet, literally just knowing how to set up a website, right? That's all they knew how to do is just set up a website properly and they got rich setting up websites for businesses. And websites are still a really big business, but even better now is websites using AI or just AI implementation into businesses in general. So, here's how to get started with this one. Again, I'll put it up on the screen. You can screenshot it, put it into Claude. It'll give you personalized advice for how to get started. All right. Next one is the shelf legacy. And this one turns your career into something that you can hold, which is publishing your knowledge. Now, a community member of mine, Shawn, built his whole business on self-publishing, and he reached the top of his niche by teaching it. And Bookf Fox, a writing teacher, makes an estimated $2,000 to $6,000 a month from AdSense before his coaching and his courses. And I'm sure he makes significantly more than that from his coaching and his courses. Now, you might be wondering, "Well, Shane, how do you know that?" Well, remember Sean, who I just mentioned, who does the Amazon KDP stuff, basically teaches self-publishing. He became a millionaire with Amazon KDP and then he started teaching it on YouTube. And at first, he was doing okay. And then he got up to about $30,000 a month. Got stuck there for a while. even though he has a channel that probably gets around the same amount of views as Bookbox, but then with my help, he got all the way up to over $500,000 in a single month. All right. And I even have a testimonial from him that I have on the channel. You can check it out. Maybe I'll put it up here or something. But yeah, he's crushing it. So, if Bookox is monetizing correctly, they're likely making at least six figures a month from this channel. And that might even be on the lower side. Now, you don't just write a novel. You publish the Everything I Learned in 30 years book. And Claude can structure and draft things and keep you moving. Now, by the way, I use Claude literally every single day, probably dozens of times. But keep in mind, it's not Claude that's writing the book. The 30 years of material is you. Think of Claude almost like your ghostriter. You can literally turn on the audio setting and just start yapping to Claude just like you're talking to a friend or you're talking to a ghostriter and then Claude can do most of the heavy lifting for you and write the book. Now, one thing that is awesome about writing books is you get paid in terms of royalties. And royalties is one of the best business models ever because you literally just have to write the book one time and then as long as the book sells, you are going to keep getting royalties from that thing pretty much forever. The book is kind of like a seed. You plant it once and it is going to bear fruit for years in both sales, credibility, and clients. Now, honest catch here, books alone are slow money, but the leverage is what the book opens because books are a great way to establish yourself as an authority in your niche. So, here's a cloud prompt. Screenshot it. put into claude if you're interested in this one and it'll get you started. All right, next I'm going to call the craft professor and this is for anyone who has mastered a craft and then you basically just teach it. So Rusty's Guitar posted 45 years of guitar lessons in under 10 minutes and it got 140,000 views. So the hook here is 45 years. If they would have said four years of guitar lessons in under 10 minutes, it probably wouldn't have gotten nearly as many views. But the ceiling is stupid high, right? The organic chemistry tutor has pretty rough audio and he makes an estimated $189,000 a month from his channel. And that might be a conservative estimate. Oh, and the last time I checked his channel, he hadn't uploaded a video in 2 months. So, that's pretty passive. But whatever you mastered, somebody else is learning right now, and they would rather learn from scars than theory. A lighthouse does not chase ships. Ships steer toward the light that's been burning the longest. Now, honest catch here. You do trade your time for money at first. If you're coaching somebody one-on-one, it is going to be a lot of work, and you're going to be trading your time for money. So, raise your prices faster than it feels comfortable. Now, here's the Claude prompt. I'll put it up on the screen if you're interested in this one. Screenshot it, put it into Claude, and it'll get you started. Now, before I close, look at something here. The real question is, can people like me actually do this? Well, Cheryl was under 50 subscribers for years. She tried making it work on her own. She banged her head against the wall for many years, couldn't make it work. And the time she worked with us, she got over 9,000 subscribers almost instantly, got monetized, and was making money from her channel. Raggy is a veteran investor who had some initial success on YouTube, but couldn't bring back the magic. Then she started working with us and she had four videos with over 30,000 views in 1 month, which was way better than what she was doing on average. And she's blown past that recently. And she's making six figures a month from this channel. D was a pharmacist like I was and she's publishing content that actually gets watched. Tracy, 15 to 17,000 views turning into real coaching revenue. And Nurse Jen had never touched YouTube and now she's crushing it. And I could just go on and on and on. Different niches, different backgrounds, but the same damn playbook. They are not special. They're just using the system that I just handed you and told you about. So, let's bring this home. This is where I'm supposed to say that you can do it and wave. And let me be real with you instead. Most of you nodded through this video, and I love you, but it's true. And you are about to close the tab and do nothing. Not because you're too old, but because no time feels safer than finding out. No, you have the time. You spend it on things that bill you instead of things that pay you. Every example today came with receipts on the screen from real people with real numbers that you can verify. And that is what realistic means on this channel. Receipts, not promises. And listen, a lot of people in my community got burned by other programs first. And I welcome that because I know what happens next. Last month, for instance, during the month, our refund rate was about 1%. Now, industry standard runs about 7 to 15%. And the reason for that is people do not ask for refunds when things work out. With that being said, 99% of you are going to enjoy my free content. You're going to enjoy the free stuff that I give away in the description, all the resources, and the cloud skills, etc. and you're going to come to my live training and enjoy that and get a lot of value out of it, but we are never going to end up working together and that is totally okay. The live training is super valuable and if you just attend that and you execute on it, you can get results. Perfect example of that is Isaiah. Now, Isaiah is not in his 50s, he's in his 40s, but he could not afford to work with us one-on-one. So, he came to the live trainings. He did exactly what I said in those live trainings and he was able to get results on YouTube. He made nearly $30,000 in a single month. And then with that money, he joined my paid coaching program. So the live training is super valuable. It's also going to help you pick your niche or dial it in if you already have a niche. So click the link in the description in the pin comment below to attend that. But I get it. 99% of you are never going to work with me one-on-one. And that's completely fine. But there's 1% of you out there, maybe 0.1% of you out there that want a one-on-one mentorship, that want a handholding experience, so they waste the least amount of time, effort, and money making this happen. Or you want us to literally just do the work for you. And if that sounds like you, go ahead and book a call by clicking the second link in the description in the pin comment below. On this call, we'll figure out where you are right now, where you want to be. We'll make a plan to get there, and we'll see if we're a good fit to work together or not. But do not book a call unless you're very serious. We only accept about 18% of people who apply. It is very expensive for us to do this work for people. And of course, the program is expensive as well because it's the best program in the world for growing and making money on YouTube with an educational channel. The types of people that we typically work with are going to be professionals with at least 10 years of experience or people who are overachievers. Basically, people who have something worth teaching. But we also work with business owners, people want to get leads, grow their brand, get sales using YouTube or make their current marketing methods two times more effective because guess what? People are going to look you up on Google. And which company owns YouTube? Google does. So YouTube's going to show up at the top and then people are going to binge your content and it's going to make your marketing way more effective. No, seriously. I just got a message last week from someone. They started their YouTube channel, their rorowaz went from 3x to 5x. Literally just starting a small YouTube channel. So, it's super effective. We also work with YouTubers who are getting a lot of views, but they're struggling with monetization. So, they almost have everything dialed in. They're getting a lot of views, but they need help on the monetization side. We work with YouTubers like that as well. We also work with YouTubers who are crushing it, but they want to crush it even harder. And we work with people who are big on other social media platforms or they're experts or they have a book published, but they know that YouTube is the best platform. That's where the money is. and so they want to bring their audience over to YouTube. We work with people like that as well. So, if that sounds like you, go ahead and click that second link in the description in the pin comment below and we look forward to talking with you. But again, right at this particular time, right today, we can only accept five people. We're very limited in the amount of people that we can work with. We only accept about 18% of people who apply. So, only click the link if you're very serious about growing and making money on YouTube and you want to get started right now. With that being said, check out this video right here to see exactly how we help my brother Zach go from zero to full-time income in less than one month.
